We have stayed in this park for about the past 5 years staying from a few days to two weeks at a time. It is one of the best in this area. We got a pull through site for about $35.00 a night which was very reasonable. Clean, concrete pads, wifi sometimes, friendly staff. We refer Rvers to this RV resort because it is well worth the price you pay. We will continue to use this RV park when in this area. Very pleased. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The best thing about this campground is the 6 private full bathrooms available. Just off Rt 59 which is the main drag into Gulf Shores. Concrete pads. Wireless is iffy and you need a separate code for each device including phone and e readers. One laptop worked perfectly well-everything else was hit or miss. Friendly staff. Mainly long-term snowbirds with a sense of community for those who live here. There are scheduled activities. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Had an excellent experience. Stayed 10 days and will return next year. Grounds well maintained, clean facilities, and friendly staff. The fenced dog area is well used and other campers are courteous about cleaning up after their pets. Would definitely recommend. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Very nice park. All amenities worked very well. Clean campground that was easily accessible even for the largest units. Easy to find and easy to navigate. Great interior roads. Very nice, well maintained, nicely landscaped, facilities all looked relatively new, friendly staff. Very quiet at night, no traffic or other extemporaneous noise. Slept very good here. Super easy access to and in the park with our larger RV. We really enjoyed our stay here and would very much look forward to coming back to stay again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Excellent park, excellent community center. Wonderful park. Definitely will visit again. Walk-in pool. Bathrooms extremely clean and well kept. Grounds excellent. Sewer tap toward front portion of site, thus we had to use our extra hose length. Water and electric connections were okay. Check-in very pleasant and easy. Plenty of room staging during check-in; we tow Ford Flex. Very close to excellent shopping, dining, recreation. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a nice park right in the middle of town close to a lot of restaurants and shopping. We have looked around at other parks in the area and for the money this is as nice as the other parks that charge $60 a day or more. The only issue is that they let people park cars in the street witch can make it hard to get in and out of your site. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This RV park is a very easy drive over to the beach in Gulf Shores/Orange Beach, only about 6 miles. The staff here at Anchors Away, was very accommodating and caring. The entire staff was helpful in every way. All sites were paved and had patios and picnic tables. Large sites with grass and very long pull through sites. It is a family friendly park and has very nice pool area. It is a great place to walk and 3 times around was 1 mile: an easy walk. They do have a workout room, which is not much to talk about and needs some work but the weather was nice so we opted to walk outside rather on the older treadmills. The restaurants in Foley were very accessible and very good if you did not want to drive to the beach. I would definitely recommend this park and we will for sure go back to this park next time we visit this area. Our rate reflects a monthly stay. Daily or weekly will be higher. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

A fairly new campground. The interior roads are paved and wide. The WiFi was very fast and free. All of the pads are concrete and level. Only negative is the absence of trees which is due to the park being only a few years old. Would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Awesome campground! Spotless with modern hookups. Every site has concrete pad and patio. Wide roads and good size sites make this place a snap to get in and out. The campground is about 7 miles from the beach and is close to all kinds of shopping, from Home Depot to Outlet Malls. It has a beautiful pool with a blow up water slide for the kids. There's an exercise room and rec room as well. We stayed here for just 5 days while waiting for the weather to clear west of us. If I wasn't on the move, I'd stay here a month. This was our second stay here, the nightly rate is based on a month rate. The staff is wonderful, very responsive to campers needs. Everything is in excellent working order and very clean. The location is convenient to tourist attractions. The only thing keeping this from a 10 is the pool. It is clean, has lots of lounge chairs, but it is COLD!!! Too cold, the only people we ever saw in the pool were kids, no adults. There is a hot tub, we used that, but on a hot day, we would prefer using the pool. Great campground and staff. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The park is right in the heart of Foley, close to the beach and other activities ie shopping, and Wal-Mart and eating places. The lots were well cared for. Grass was easy to walk on without stickers. No problem with critters/ants. Swimming pool was very nice water temp much better this year. Although there is little shade, the morning and evening breeze when you are in the shade is pleasant. We plan to go back again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is our favorite park. The roads are paved, wide and easy for big rigs to get around. The sites are cement pads with grass yards and some trees. There is a small pond for fishing, a hot tub for relaxing and a swimming pool for cooling off in the summer. The owners are friendly and helpful. They also schedule many activities for their winter guests. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

First night here but everything seems very good. The Wi-Fi is Tengo, is free and consistent with no log-outs. You can watch you tube so it is fast enough for me. The grounds are immaculate, few trees and those trees are very small. Nice grass, no weeds and few if any ant hills that seemingly dot this area of the country. All roads are paved and the sites are concrete, level and very long. Sewer hook-up is at the middle of the site and was a little long to reach but we just moved the coach forward about four feet and everything was OK, still had ample room to park the toad. The staff has been great even when accommodating the wife in changing sites so the afternoon sun would not flood our picnic table area. It's a quiet place with lots of shopping areas and restaurants. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Close to everything including beaches and some of the best seafood along the gulf. Staff is great, very nice zero entry pool, hottub and small playground. Has a catch and release pond, fenced-in dog run, recreation room, fitness center, nice laundry room, individual bath houses and flat paved roads. Park is around 4 years old. Has good Wi-Fi. We spent 2 nights here and were pleasantly surprised. Our site was an extra long pull-through which was level and easily accommodated our 42 footer and toad. Cable TV and WiFi worked well and were included in the charge. The swimming pool was never crowded and the spa was warm and inviting. There was plenty of room to walk the dogs and also an enclosed dog run. The park is close to Lamberts, the Tanger outlet mall and the beaches. Be sure to get directions to the Pirate's Cove, a small eatery on the water that will welcome you and your dog. We will definitely return when in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We arrived in the midst of strong storms, the staff processed us quickly, we were escorted and guided into our back in site, all before the storms hit. The campground is easy for big rigs with wide paved roads. There are pull throughs available. Hookups are in a convenient layout. There are lots of cable TV channels, free Wi-Fi, good Verizon signal. This campground was fantastic. We stayed during spring break. We were met by the owner when we pulled in after hours and he personally escorted us to our site and helped my husband back in.We also had a problem with a water leak and they were very helpful directing us to a repair center. The sites were concrete pads and level. The bathrooms were extremely clean. The kids had a great time playing in the pool and at the pirate ship playground. We will definitely stay here when we come to the beach!! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Rate is for a weekly stay. Well-maintained cg with wide paved roads. All sites are concrete pads. Extra long pull-throughs easily accommodated our 40-footer plus tow. Restrooms were very clean. Beautiful pool/hot tub. Managers are always on-site and work hard. When we first got here, we thought the other campers were a little clicky, but a large number of them are snowbirds who have been here all winter. Daily noise of sirens from busy Rte. 59 just outside of campground. Don't miss Old Time Pottery store a half-mile away! We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a great campground with very friendly management. They even help you back into your site if applicable. Sites are large and roomy. The pool is very large and well kept. There is a hot tub and playground as well. If you mention their website, they give a 10% discount on the nightly rate. We stayed 3 nights. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed there for a week after leaving WestWales RV park due to poor conditions. This is a great park with a very friendly staff. This park is wonderful. This is our home away from home. The staff makes you feel welcome. We are very close to the owners, and they have worked their butts off to make this RV resort what it is today. To the man that gave them four stars and said that the monthly rate was really, really high and the exercise room was very dirty. Did you ever stop to think that maybe someone before you may has messed it up. Did you bring this to the owners attention for the matter to be taken care of? You know life is too short to find problems with everything in life. Bottom line, Anchors Aweigh RV Resort is the best of the best and we love it there. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Newer, family run park. Concrete pads, and roads. Great new facilities – clean showers. Great looking pool but we did not use it. They have an exercise room that has very little equipment and most of it seems old. Plus, this exercise room was very dirty. Plenty of space between sites. Closed to Hwy 59 but far enough not to hear any road noise. Stayed two nights, asked about staying for a month but the price was really, really high for a monthly. Will return for an overnight or a day or two only. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed 2 nights on a scheduled 3 night stay as part of a local club rally. The rally broke camp one day early because of forecast of severe weather with a strong possibility of large hail. Excellent campground with smooth paved streets, easy turns, large paved level sites with excellent hook-ups. Meeting room, hot tub, quiet area. Our club has re-booked for this fall. This is a great campground and one of the main reasons is that it was designed by an RVer. It has wide, level concrete pads with patios and picnic tables on each site. There is thick grass throughout the park so mud is not an issue. It also has very wide access roads that make it easy to get into the sites. The cable and Wi-Fi work very well and the campground, including the restrooms, is absolutely spotless. The best thing about this park, however, are the owners. They live on site and are friendly and accommodating and are willing to go out of their way to help. Another great thing is that this park is only 5 minutes from shopping, groceries and Wal-Mart but it is very quiet. More parks should be designed like this one. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stay at Anchors Aweigh every time we travel across I-10 because of friendly management and paved level sites with picnic table. Wide grassy area between sites. During the winter there is a high concentration of snow-birds but that allows us to meet more diverse folks. During Lent they have a Friday fish fry. We have been here two nights. This is an excellent park. Everyone is friendly and helpful. We were shown our space and were helped with the backing. We were offered help to set up. The restrooms and showers are private and spotless. Pretty pool and hot tub, small playground for young children. Close to many restaurants and shopping. Approximately 7 miles to the gulf. Sites are large, concrete with easy access to water, power and sewer. Wi-Fi comes with the price and works well. The grounds are very clean, with a nice pet walk and clean up bags provided. There is also a fish cleaning area at the exit from the park. I will stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is really a great campground. We will definitely return! Management was really helpful. There were ants near our site when we arrived and were taken care of within 5 minutes! The gentleman even backed my camper into the spot for me. Bathhouse has clean private shower rooms. Sites, patios and roads were paved and wide. The pool was very clean and nice. Boy oh boy- - - where do I start. This CG is spanking brand new and everything is just squeaky clean. There is an angel working the office and I can't say enough about her and how much she helped me in setting up our club's rally over a very busy weekend in Southern Alabama. The CATV is super, the free Wi-Fi is fast enough to satisfy you when you think that it's free! The clubhouse is very nice and offers a big screen TV for your pleasure and a full kitchen for rallies and the like. A neat little side item that was advantageous to us ralliers was that the snowbirds ( a pretty good population ) cook up a full breakfast every saturday morning for a 3 buck donation- - - can't beat that! This campground is close to everything you'd ever want to be doing as far as extracurricular activities are concerned. I'll definitely be returning soon. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We've stayed at Anchors Aweigh twice in February on both legs of a trip to Florida - going and returning to Louisiana. NEW Park just opened in October, 2006 with WIDE streets and sites. Excellent husband and wife management team really make you feel at home and most of all welcome! This CG is at the top of our list for return visits. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We always look forward to staying at this resort, averaging 2 - 3 times a year usually 4 - 5 days/stay. This is a gated secured resort. Cleanliness is A-1, and the staff is excellent, always makes you feel welcomed! All of the sites are large with a concrete pad and manicured grass and landscaping everywhere. If you like swimming in a beautiful infinity pool, this is the place for you. The resort just opened their last phase of sites and appear to be selling them...if only my 401K didn't tank a few years ago, I'd own one now! I really didn't want to submit a review to this place because if too many people start going here I may not be able to get in on our next visit. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is our third visit to this park, and we always say that this is the nicest park we have been to. You can pick your site off the internet. The site we had was a pull-in overlooking the lake. All the sites are concrete and level. The roads are very wide. It rained hard one day and the drainage is very good. Restrooms, showers, and laundry are all spotless. The clubhouse is very nice and clean. There is even a computer-equipped business center. The pool and hot tub were spotless. The west side of the park has beenspaved and developed to the point of waiting for buyer. You are only a few minutes to Gulfshores and the beach, and about 30 minutes to Fairhope (if you want to visit a beautiful artistic community). Best of all, the Bella Terra staff is amazing and the front office staff is the best we have seen. We will be back again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

As the other reviewers have mentioned, this is a very nice "Resort" type RV park. The lots are spacious and the services worked well, except the cable. You would think that a " Resort " of this caliber could have a digital HD cable system, but not so, only analog SD was available. Also don't rely on the park's recommendation for vendors to clean your coach; they don't show up. Other than these two things it's a very nice " Resort ", but not the best we've seen. This is a beautiful park. Grounds are immaculate as are showers, fitness center and laundry facilities, which are conveniently located for everyone. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The dog run is very large so a dog can actually run and play. Our only disappointment in the Gulf Shores area was the beaches do not allow animals on them even off season. Friends told us about this place and all we can say is we are so glad we listened. We came here to stay a couple of days and stayed a week! The place is gorgeous! We stayed on the lake and even though there was construction going on right across from us for phase 3, it never bothered us. The sites are very large and private. The staff of three are fabulous! There is nothing negative about Bella Terra, absolutely nothing. The sites are very large, beautifully landscaped, always clean and the hookups are very well placed. The roads are wide and turns are easy. Trash is picked up from the corner of your lot daily. The dog walk is huge and grass covered- no dirt here! The clubhouse is beautiful with a theater room & seating, an exercise room with fantastic machines, a sauna and large open spaces. Bella Terra has many events there, we attended their shrimp boil feast while there. The staff is so friendly, helpful & remember your name! Impressive! It is just far enough from the beach to be quiet and restful but close enough that it takes only 10 minutes to get there. My favorite place to go and I do, every year! We camped here in a Motorhome.

At the time of this writing, we have reviewed 115 RV parks and only awarded two with ratings of "ten". Looking back, those two "tens" don't even compare with Bella Terra. Sites are beautiful; restrooms, showers, laundry are spotless, workout facility and clubhouse are magnificent. The staff here really understand that they are in the hospitality business and the staff are wonderful and do everything they can to make Bella Terra a special place. At a monthly rate of $800, it was a real bargain too, although I wouldn't be surprised to see their rates go up. We'll still come back. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Very nice resort. All amenities first class, complete with a cardinal that decided to wake us up every morning by pecking on our outside mirror! We were there during the Super Bowl, for which the resort threw a really good party, including a chili cook-off, a guest-supplied carry-in food and refreshments provided by the resort. It's all been said, and I agree with the previous glowing and positive reviews. Excellent park with wonderful amenities and customer service. Lady in the front office is a joy to work with. Bella Terra has plenty of room and luxury for all big rig coaches. Interior roads and in & outs are well thought out and comfy. Best approach from the north is to take the Foley Beach Expressway to Brinks Willis and turn right. Saves a lot of traffic and stop lights. They are very dog friendly, and there is an excellent grassy leash-free dog park in the corner of the property. They go out of their way to provide interesting and fun things to do and see. This is our first and forever choice when in Gulf Shores. If it's hot and sunny, I'd suggest a site with your patio on the opposite side of the west sun. Makes being outside much more pleasant. Family (husband, wife and 8 year old) are traveling for a month staying at several 10/10/10 sites. This, by far, was the most luxurious. Infinity pool, movie theater setup, and events were family/adult friendly. We chose premier site with extras (gazebo, grill, landscaping, etc). All this made for a delightful home away from home. We spent 5 nights at Bella Terra, and would have stayed longer if we could have. It was everything the website advertises and more! Our site had a table and benches outside, and a screened in Gazebo with a small table and chairs inside. We were in site 624, and overlooked the lake. Very quiet, restful, and serene. We will definitely stay here again when we are in the Gulf Shores area. We looked at some campgrounds nearer the beaches, but decided the amenities at Bella Terra were worth the drive. We were on our way home from Florida to Pearland, TX and we were referred to Bella Terra by Millinnium Motor Coaches. We were VERY impressed with the cleanliness of the entire resort. First the plus side. The facilities that have been completed are beautiful. The sites are large and well maintained. We chose one of the more basic sites, but some have larger patios, screen houses, outdoor kitchens, and more. The streets are wide and obviously designed for big rigs. The staff was exceptionally friendly and there were planned activities for residents (lots of snowbirds) and visitors alike. The pool looked very beautiful, but it was too cold for us to try it out. It's about 15 minutes drive from the beach, and probably that close to the outlet stores. Cable TV at our site worked well, as did the free Wi-Fi. The down side - the park is only about 1/2 completed. There are mounds of dirt where the other half of the park is under construction, and quite a few lots that have been laid out but not completed. Many of the features (e.g., the lake being stocked) are "coming soon." With the downturn of the economy, I can understand that, but it was a bit of a disappointment and that is the only reason I did not rate this higher. Still, the half that has been completed is beautiful and if you don't mind the other half being under construction, it's a great place to stay. We camped here in a Motorhome.

For us it was the best site available: right on the lake and across the street from wonderful dog park. The primary amenity we used was the club house. Our experience started when we called the resort for detailed driving instructions as we approached. We spoke with an employee who routed us to the resort by by-passing the main street hassles. Upon our arrival, she was most pleasant and very enthusiastic about the resort and about our staying there. After the necessary check in was completed, she escorted us to one of the most beautiful sites in the resort with a fountain on the lake right in front of our coach window. This was an unexpected pleasure as we enjoyed looking at it especially lit up at night. The resort exceeded our expectations by being very exclusive as well as being very well maintained. The main feature was the club house, and pool area was beautiful, and being a fitness nut, the work out facilities were clean and expansive for a private resort. The staff was very professional and pleasant. We would like to mention another employee in the office as she helped us with several requests that we had and as a tour advisor. She is indeed a pleasant asset to the resort staff. The landscaping was a sight to see being very well maintained and in abundance. The pet walk area was convenient and large enough for our dogs to chase a ball in. We enjoyed riding our bicycles around the resort and found the owners of the sites to be very friendly. We enjoyed the resort so much that we stayed an extra day before heading to Orlando to meet up with our family at Disney World. I highly recommend Bella Terra RV Resort to anyone wishing to purchase or rent a site for a leisure place stay. We will put the resort in our travel plans again next year. We stayed at an owner's rental site and not in the Rally Park which is very nice also. The lots are large and well landscaped, well maintained. The clubhouse is fantastic. We stayed here for a few days while waiting to check in to another park for the month. It was lovely. We didn't get the chance to use all the wonderful facilities because the weather was cool, but the clubhouse and pool were breathtaking. My husband used the shower facility and he said it was as clean and comfortable as home. We found the laundry room so clean, we did what little laundry we had before we left. The staff was friendly and there is nothing they wouldn't do to make you feel at home. I would recommend this park to anyone and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and will. I found this park to be a "middle of the road" location; between major shopping and beach. While I felt it was geared towards adults; I was told in summer, they have children programs. We stayed here for a full month; hence the reduced nightly rate. This is an excellent Class A Motorhome park and the staff is incredibly friendly. There are many RV Park-run activities; i.e., cocktail parties where you bring the hors d'oeuvres and they supply the drinks; BBQ's where they supply hot dogs and burgers and you bring a dish to share; and on and on. What a nice place in a perfect location! Close to the beaches and restaurants near Orange Beach, and close to the shopping malls in Foley. We were only going to stay for 2 nights, but stayed 4. Everything that others have said is right on. A Ritz Carlton experience, from the staff who were great, to the beautiful facilities. The last night that we stayed, they hosted a wine and cheese party at their club house. They are in the process of installing theater seating in the theater area. This is our second visit to this marvelous resort. Please see my earlier review from April 2010. The second visit confirmed our first impressions, and we are considering a site purchase. The resort is a country club-like setting, with an attentive, helpful staff and superb attention to detail. You owe yourself a visit if you meet the Class A size and motorhome age restrictions. This is an absolutely "luxurious" RV park. The amenities and facilities are the best you will find. The sites are very spacious and are limited to motor coaches only. The pool and clubhouse were beautifully decorated/landscaped and were immaculate. A fitness center, sauna, movie theater, (limited) library, and massage therapy is available in the clubhouse area. One of the perks (if you are a dog lover) is a separate, large, fenced in dog park. Employees of Bella Terra are the most courteous, professional, and friendly that you will meet. Though, we were initially hesitant due to the $$$ of the sites, we found that the price was definitely equal to the quality. This is a beautifully landscaped Class A Big Rig only Resort. The pool and hot tub, beautifully landscaped, (did I say that already?) area is directly behind the clubhouse. The club house offers a big screen movie room, a large bar with a catering kitchen area, a huge weight and work out room with a wet/dry sauna, a room for a massage therapist to use, and a business center for residence to use. Very spacious and great for large parties. The manager and has a lot of energy and great fun things planned for everyone including children. We stayed Memorial Day weekend and signed up for two more weeks. We will be returning in July. Some of the sites are sold to private individuals and are decked out with beautiful outdoor kitchens and screened in gazebos. We found the owners as well as renters very pleasant and we were welcomed by all. We camped here in a Motorhome.

They require an opener for the gate, but instead of a deposit for it, they take a credit card number and only charge you if you do not return the opener to the box by the gate on your way out. Price reflects monthly rate. This is a wonderful RV resort. The staff is very friendly, everything is sparkling clean, and there are many activities, both on- and off-site. The sites are in excellent condition, and maintenance is on-going. The showers/restrooms are immaculate, and the fitness room is amazing with many new cardio and strength-training machines/equipment. Security is provided via a gated entry and a clubhouse code. We especially appreciated that the price is all-inclusive, except for optional classes and activities. The only thing we didn't especially appreciate was that the laundry required the use of a pre-paid card, with a minimum $10 charge; we left with over $7 left on the card. Hopefully the card will still be good when we return. This resort accepts only Class A motorhomes, and the sites are available for sale; however, we were there for a month and were approached only once about the possibility of buying, and that was very,very low-key. This is definitely where we would stay if we are back in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We spent 2 weeks here. This is the best well kept luxury park. Management and all the others were helpful for anything you need, from restaurant selection, to faxing forms back to my Michigan office. The club house has a 10 foot projector TV and Bose sound system, with bar, seats and couches. There is a gas outdoor fire pit, Hot tub and infinity swim pool. Pads are painted brown with a side cement patio for your use. Very quiet at night. All hookups: water (good pressure), cable TV with many channels. Palm trees in abundance and grass landscaping elsewhere. They have wine and cheese parties: Monday was Martini day, water aerobics, exercise class. Gated RV access to park. Fountains in the lakes can be seen from all lots. There is no sales pitch to try to get your to purchase a lot. But after staying here your just might want to buy one! Price reflects a back row site. This is, by far, the nicest place we have ever stayed. Wide paved roads made an easy entry and exit. It is about a mile to the main highway that runs into Gulf Shores. This is a gated class A resort with size and vehicle age limitations. The resort is about 2/3 complete. In the completed portion some features have yet to be completed (such as the putting green). The sites are spacious, concrete, and level. Access to the sites is great due to wide internal roads. The landscaping is somewhat sparse; probably due to the newness of the resort. The clubhouse is great and complete with business center, bar area, spa-gym, sauna, and a heated pool. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They exhibit pride in the resort. We stayed three nights. It's a newer park, with a goal of selling sites. Sites are spacious and landscaped. Concrete pads are in excellent shape and easy to back into. As foliage matures it should be quite nice. Some owners have added amenities to their sites such as screen gazebos and outdoor kitchens that make them attractive. We had no pet with us but we were given a site right next to the dog run. If the park had been full and there were a lot of dogs I think it may have been noisy being so close. It's the only park we've stayed at this past year that did not provide some kind of picnic table at the sites. Staff was very friendly. They were quite helpful in accommodating us when we had to delay our arrival by a week. It is isolated, but all you have to do is drive a couple of miles to find an abundance of shopping and restaurants of all types. If you want proximity to the gulf coast, this facility is well located. They are beginning work on the second phase and that may result in dust during the earth-moving activities. The staff here is so accommodating and friendly that you feel like you are the only persons they are caring for. The facilities are well planned and maintained, and social activities are planned daily, The whole resort is clean. We and our pet met lots of nice people and other pets. After seeing comments made by a previous camper, I had to make these corrections. Something must have ticked them off to be so negative about one of the best resorts we have ever stayed in, and we have stayed in quite a few. Bella Terra is a high end resort by all means, but not a bunch of "chest beaters" as described. There are coaches of all sizes and types but yes there are some restrictions. As for the dogs, I have seen prissy poodles to 100 lb mutts. Quite a variety of animals walk through the resort and it has a doggy area also. And no there is no store on site. But within 2 miles, there are over 40 restaurants, 37 hotels, 3 major golf courses, 2 major shopping outlets, countless grocery stores, drug stores, auto parts, super Wal-Mart, you name it, it is here. And for children, there are plenty of families that come to Bella Terra with children. There are numerous parks within 5 miles that range from water parks to kid rides etc. Propane refill within 1.5 miles. As far as the laundry, when have you done a load of laundry less than 10.00? You get your card and don't have to worry about change in the machines. You just use your card in a clean and workable laundry when ever you need to do some more. Also there are several of these located throughout the resort. Picture perfect they got right. Swimming pool which children are not only welcome, but in it. There are functions at the main clubhouse several times per week. Gatherings with food and wine. I have never been to any other resort that had so much either in the resort or with a couple of miles. Hope this straightens up what Mr. Negative left behind. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The entire staff is extremely accommodating and helpful at Bella Terra. When we arrived I was not in the best of moods and Courtney in the office went out of her way to welcome us. She came outside to our RV with cookies in hand for myself and the kids. There were plenty of activities for the kids, and adults, like playing Wii video games at the clubhouse to having hot cocoa by the outdoor gas fire pit. Bella Terra RV resort turned out to be what could only be classified as a high end retirement community and looking back at their advertisements I guess that’s how it’s being billed. Advertised as a Class A only RV resort, it’s naturally filled with top end RVs. Truly a great place to come for a little chest beating if you’re in this league of ownership, alas I was not and therefore could only look on with envy. The only good thing was that I never had to socialize much with the other owners as they all stayed indoors and only ventured out for meals and to walk their little fluffy critters. My dog was looking for another snack around every shiny new million dollar brick. This is simply a place to park, nothing for sale like propane, groceries, or anything at all you may need, so bring it all with you or plan on taking a ride. The only thing they do sell is a money card for laundry, this costs you $2.50 for the card and a non refundable $10.00 to fill it. There isn’t anything at all for kids to do so if you have them, this is not the place for you. If you’re retired and looking for a great place to get photos of your rig to show off at parties, this is definitely the place. It’s absolutely picture perfect, a gorgeous place for gorgeous high end motor homes. We prefer the friendly atmosphere of more rural camping over this sterile type of resort. The young women in the office area were extremely knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. My husband and I have stayed in many RV parks/resorts and this one is 14 on a scale of 10! There were three complete bathrooms with walk-in showers that were immaculately clean. Many planned activities at the clubhouse which included owners and renters. For starters, we have never seen a better resort. We liked it so well that we purchased a lot. As a result our four day stay was free. The staff here is excellent, fitting for a 10-10-10 resort. Clubhouse is the finest we have seen. Great interior roads with plenty of room for big rigs. Huge concrete parking sites and patios, etc. No mud here even if it rains. As more lots have sold the landscaping is maturing and many sites now have improvements. Close enough to beaches to get breeze without the salt air. Lambert's (throwed rolls),the Gift Horse (Sunday brunch) and many other restaurants are about 5 miles away in Foley. Excellent seafood in Orange Beach and Gulf Shores. This is a new and great resort from the ground up. The owners have put a lot of time, thinking, and money into this place. Everything was done right from the walk in pool to the bathhouses. Club house is like a 5 star hotel and has everything you could think of or need to live well. Roads are double wide, sites are long, wide, level, cable TV, with FHU in correct place. Free Wi-Fi and it worked very well at our site. Views of lake are great to look at. You can rent or buy a site here. Front gates: GPS is 30.34831 / -87.65997. There is a beautiful pool and clubhouse with big screen TV and exercise equipment. Two centrally located bathhouses each contain 3 private bathrooms with large tile showers. The paved sites are large with patio area, nicely landscaped, and some have outdoor kitchens. This is a beautiful resort in a convenient location to visit Orange Beach and Gulf Shores. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Our visit to Bella Terra in July was our second visit in 2009. We took our three grandchildren with us and they had a wonderful time. The pool, game room, and exercise room, were enjoyed by all of us. The staff there is great and caters to your every need. They are super! It is just a great place to visit! We were planning on a 6 day stay and we ended up purchasing a lot so that we could always come to a truly beautiful resort. The staff treated us warmly, and they made everyone feel at home and had a cookout for everyone. The clubhouse is tastefully decorated, the baths and showers were beautiful and even provided the toiletries. It was difficult to stay out of the relaxing, warm, infinity pool with waterfalls. The sites are large and can accommodate any upgrades you want to add. The trees and landscaping are beginning to mature, which will add to the overall beauty of the resort. Anything you need is only minutes away. The location is great. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Very nice resort. Still developing so most of landscaping was new. All palm trees. Pretty but no shade. Very roomy sites. Level pads of stained concrete. Beautiful club house and infinity pool. Free night if you are willing to listen to their presentation. We received the free night but they never came around and asked us to listen to presentation. Probably because two of our three nights were on Saturday and Sunday. About 15-minutes from the Foley and Gulf Shores beaches if you use the toll bridge. A little longer if you take another route. Be sure to eat at Bahama Bob's on the beach at Gulf Shores. Excellent food and service. Would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

As a class A owner I have been to my fair share of places, but none what so ever as nice as Bella Terra. This is the first place that we have stayed that everything we had hoped for we truly got right down to the excellent service from the employees. Bella Terra truly is only minutes away from anything you want to do from going golfing or to the beach or whether it be shopping that you enjoy. Very top notch RV Resort I only wish that we had something like this closer to home. Enjoy this it is everything and more that they advertise. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Brand new RV Resort for Class A motorhomes only. Spacious sites with extra wide parking area. Large, well furnished clubhouse with well equipped exercise room and a large screen TV. Pool is 25 m. long and suitable for lap swimming or relaxing. Central lake is new and will eventually be stocked for fishing. There are many golf courses nearby and beach is about 5 miles away. Tangier outlets, WalMart, grocery stores and many restaurants are all within 5 minutes but the resort is isolated and quiet. Overall, a great place to stay. We camped here in a Motorhome.

After staying in parks around the country, it was fantastic to finally find a Resort that lived up to its designation as a "Resort". Bella Terra was everything advertised and more! Beautiful sunsets, Quiet nights, friendly RVers, immaculate facilities and on and on. The staff is second to none and our contact was awesome. This resort is only minutes, yes, minutes to anything you could ever want or think of wanting! If you only do one thing for yourself as a Class A motorcoach owner this has to be it. This is the most "comfortable" RV place anywhere! Well, at least in the 33 states we have been in! We camped here in a Motorhome.

I don't know where the previous people stayed, but it must not have been at Bella Terra! Yes, the management and staff was accommodating and helpful and the sites were large and the existing facilities were first class but who wants to sit out in the middle of a open field looking at a muddy lake! It is still under construction and not ready to accommodate guests. The high rates are not justified. This is a new park which lacks any mature landscaping and is located miles from any stores or places to eat or shop. Give it 3 or 4 years and it should deserve a better rating. Stayed a month. Water in the ponds was brown. Lots of constant construction going on. They had to redo the lawn sprinkling, wasn't done right. Pool was leaking water and wasn't very warm to swim. Jacuzzi was either cool or very hot! Wi-fi was good. Park is in the middle of a field; very windy, awning wouldn't stay out for long. Wouldn't come back. Overpriced for what you get. This is a new "resort" and lots are individually owned although all are not yet sold. The first phase was complete and some lots had gazebos or small, outdoor kitchens and sparse landscape. We were amazed at how poor the grass areas looked - they were all weeds. It was quite windy during our stay, and the dust and dirt were blowing our way from the unfinished second phase. The clubhouse is beautiful inside and the exercise equipment is top notch. The pool is gorgeous, but if you like doing laps or water exercises you will be disappointed. The style of pool is more for looks than for functionality. The tennis court and putting green had not been developed yet. During heavy rains, the run-off was directed to the front of our coach and with the poor grass it became a muddy mess. The resort staff, however, are top notch and very helpful. We've stayed at many RV "Resorts" and in comparison to others, we were very disappointed with the appearance and amenities. While there are activities nearby, we found that within 4 or 5 days you could do and see all there is, unless you like golf and the beach. Those RV'ers who are experienced and enjoy an active, resort lifestyle at a resort with upscale amenities may want to think twice about staying here. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Bella Terra is a new upscale RV resort with lots of potential. The club house and pool are complete and one of the best I have seen. The first section of lots are complete and the new lot owners are beginning to make it home. Not a lot of vegetation, but given the warm climate it won't take long. Right now the resort owners are giving good introductory rates and at $35.00 a night it was well worth it. Plan to stop on our way back to south Florida this fall and see how it has progressed We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park was the nicest park we have ever had the pleasure of visiting. The shower/bath rooms were immaculate. The club house was beautiful. The exercise room was very well equipped, including showers and a sauna, as well as all the normal machines. The staff all treated us like royalty. The park was dog-friendly, hosting a dog parade on St. Patrick's day, with dog treat bags for all participants. In our opinion, and our special rating system: definite "5 STAR BE-BACK" also short distance to great shopping, and a super public white sand beach. We camped here in a Motorhome.

What a wonderful RV resort. This was our first visit, and definitely not the last, we love that it's on a quiet road, away from the traffic noise. It's on our 'must do again' list. The resort staff was very courteous and knowledgeable, and were always available for questions. We're glad that it's a pet friendly resort. The clubhouse was beautiful and immaculate, with a wonderful fitness center. The pool area has plenty of lounge chairs and tables for a comfortable relaxed atmosphere. If you're thinking of heading to the Gulf Shores area, this is the place to check out first, and you won't have to look any further. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Now this is what an RV Resort is supposed to be like!! The sites are huge, paved and landscaped. We drive a bus with car trailer and had plenty of room in a pull-through spot. They have an area to store your trailer if you are in a pull-in/back-in site or just want to drop it. All amenities are of the highest quality and all first class. The clubhouse and exercise room are beyond compare. WiFi and cable TV work perfectly. The staff is just terrific from the escort to your site until the last minute you are here. The location between Mobile and Pensacola and very near Gulf Shores Beach and Orange Beach makes this a terrific place to stay a long time. Several beaches are nearby and great restaurants abound. It is an ownership resort and owners are doing their sites with gazebos and outdoor kitchens so amenities per site will vary. Half the sites are in use now and the other half are to be completed this year. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Location, location, location. This resort is outstanding in all areas as mentioned by previous posters. Extremely large sites, first class amenities including a beautiful infinity pool and well equipped fitness center, complete with sauna. The location is the topping on the cake. Less than two miles from Hwy 59 and any shopping you would need, yet located far enough away from the noise. Less than 10 minutes from the white sand beaches of the Gulf Coast and some fantastic restaurants. I don't understand the previous poster's description of "remotely located". It doesn't get any better than this. The only complaint is the resort is still under construction and it appears the economy has slowed progress down. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a new resort with a sales office on the premise for site purchase. Only one-half of the resort has been completed. Beautiful sites though somewhat pricey, and the facilities were excellent. It is very remotely located. Unfortunately, we were there for a week when the wind blew constantly, swirling dust from the construction site. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We pulled in for a couple of days and are staying for 10, we are enjoying this place that much. The resort is very well laid out with large sites, washrooms and showers conveniently located so they are never far away. The clubhouse is stunning and beautifully furnished with a sauna, whirlpool, infinite pool and a fitness room with all the state of the art equipment you could possibly want. The staff are always available, extremely friendly and willing to help and offer advice whenever asked. Have nothing but positive comments about this place - wish there were more like it! We first visited Bella Terra in November, 2008. We had been interested in its construction since we first saw it advertised in FMCA. We had an opportunity to take a few days off for Thanksgiving, so off to Alabama we went. It was love at first sight! The resort is half completed and it is such a delight. The lots are very large and nicely finished out. There is enough room on each lot for upgrades to delight all owners and future renters. The club house is great for hanging out and available for parties. There is a kitchen, movie area, bar, game tables, comfortable seating, sauna, exercise room, and all the outside amenities. The staff members are experienced professionals and they are truly interested in their guests. What else is there? We love it so much we bought a lot! We are very happy to say we are Bella Terra RV Resort owners. Come see Bella Terra and you will love it, too. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I was hesitant to rate this resort a 10 simply because it is only a little over half finished but, the fact is that, it is already one of the best resorts anywhere. The sites are very long, very wide, and very level and the access roads are paved and wider than most highways. The clubhouse is outstanding, it reminds me of a nice country club's clubhouse with a heated infinity pool, a hot tub, exercise room, sauna, locker room, movie theater and a great room. The staff is extremely friendly and go out of their way to make your stay comfortable. Probably the only negative was the weather, this ain't Florida, but otherwise this is as good as it gets. Highly recommended. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I have been watching a new resort being built over in Gulf Shores. These guys look like they know what they are doing. I was able to go in the other day and get a brief tour. It is going to be an upscale class A ownership resort with true resort like atmosphere. The lot sizes are very large and owners can put lots of upgrades on their lot. The sales center has diagrams of outdoor kitchens, gazebos, fire pits, and a small building they call a casita. Most lots are already sold. While there I was shown info for a beach club they have an activities calendar that included free fishing excursions, wine & cheese events and pedicures! They are set to open very soon and are taking rental reservations now. This is one to keep your eye on and is certainly now the place to stay when in lower Alabama. We camped here in a Motorhome.

All the necessities at a reasonable PA fee. No picnic tables, no fire ring, etc., but a good overnight spot if you are traveling through, or here for the shopping at the discount mall. Has gravel access roads, grass sites but spacious and comfortable. Owners live on the premises and a very helpful campground host gets you parked. We stayed here three nights at the Passport America rate and an additional night at the regular rate of $30 which is a little pricey for the facilities offered but there are very reasonable weekly and monthly rates available. Gravel road, grass sites. Park perimeter is trees and barbed wire fence, it feels like parking in a pasture or grassy field, only with hookups. Sites are wide enough for slides but still close together. The pull through sites are very long and easily accommodated our 60 foot length. Very few trees in the park. The park is on Hwy 98 so there’s some road noise. No picnic table or pad. Rustic but pleasant. A great park to “do nothing” or as a base to visit Foley and Gulf Shores. Very nice, helpful owner. Rate reflects PA discount. For the price and relaxation, we may return. No Wi-Fi. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This was a great little park we stayed at on our way to TX from Florida. The owner has put a lot of love into this place, and they have one of the best club houses we've seen. Laundry facilities are neat as a pin and inexpensive. The grounds are neat, but basic. Don't expect a resort-environment here. You make your own fun. The only downside is the sites are a little close together, but that didn't present much of a problem. Residents are super friendly and there's lots of room to roam. A great place to stay for a week or a season. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a park for those who want to park their rig and enjoy the surrounding area. Located 10 miles from the beach, and right behind the Outlet Malls. It is designed for Elks Members, but will accommodate guests for a surcharge. The sites are spacious and very level, but close on the utility side to your neighbor. This park is run by the Elks Club, but they allow the public to camp at a $5 premium over members. Park consists of 24 side by side, pull through sites on gravel, with large grassy areas as separation. A no frills park, but they have good services and free wi-fi. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We were dissatisfied with the activities for the winter folks. Not enough to do to warrant spending another winter in Johnny's. Such a beautiful clubhouse that was very under-utilized. The park needs an activity director. The pool was beautiful, but not heated so we didn't use it all winter. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a really nice RV park with many friendly people. We stayed here a week and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The restrooms, showers, and laundry facilities we very clean, however the pool was a little dirty. They have a nice lazy river which was enjoyed by many, but didn't feel crowded. The staff was friendly and showed us to our spot, which was level and a decent size. We had a site right in front of the lake, which was delightful to look at. We would definitely stay here again. Very nice park, quiet, convenient location. Great water park and pools, nice hall and office staff. Sites reasonably spaced. Close in to Foley for groceries, Home Depot, etc. Camping World is just a couple miles north. WalMart on other end of town, only about 5 miles. Just beyond that is the outlet mall. Very convenient to go to Gulf Shores without staying there, about 10 miles. Lots of locals leave their RVs here all summer. Early reservations a must from Memorial on all summer. Paid monthly rate, don't remember what it was, just pulled a number for that. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Large RV Park with strong presence of “Snow Birds” come January. Lucky for us, it’s a quiet season in October (except for 2 Halloween week-end events). Lots of pull throughs with long, level and sometimes paved sites. All sites have paved patio areas. While the office help is efficient they are prone to NOT volunteer information. After our arrival and reading the park flyer, we had questions about visitor parking, internet access, and propane. If you don’t ask all of the questions you will need to return/re-call a number of times. They seem to be willing to only answer what is asked of them and not offer any other information that might be helpful to the questioner. As long as you don’t have to deal with the office, the other staff members are friendly and personable. They have a large pool area with water slides, spray circles, and a canal surrounding the main pool with inner tubes for riding around. Another unique benefit is that they pick up garbage (that you bag and leave at the end of your site) daily by 10am. Unfortunately, they do not have any recycling options within the park. There is a small fenced area for dogs. Our dog was able to chase her Frisbee in the space. Even with that space, the park staff as a whole weren’t really into dogs. Our dog thinks all golf carts have treats since her first exposure proved that out. In fact, the golf cart drivers are not dog-friendly at all. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Just spent eight days here. They let us use the PA discount three days one week and three days again the next week. The bathrooms and laundry were spotless. The pool was new and excellent with slides and lazy river. Two campsite sections, the older one wrapping around the pond with lots of shade with the newer one set up in rows with no trees. Both had plenty of room with 50 amp and new picnic tables. All of the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Lots to do in the area. Will definitely be back. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Our recent trip to Alabama as a Snowbird at this RV resort included potlucks, Blue Grass Concerts, ice cream socials, billiards, church services, card playing, and special events at the activity center where free coffee and tea were provided along with fried chicken and pulled pork. A van was provided to transport us to the many amusements in this area and at no extra cost. Your constant improvements to this resort including the new swimming pool, hot tub, lazy river and future game room is a reflection of the vision this park has for all visitors. This park was exceptional. It had beautiful lakes along with a water park which was beautiful plus a lazy river almost complete. Restrooms were clean and up-to-date. We were told new owners are moving all locals out. There were a lot of snow birds but most were leaving. Wonderful locations for seeing sites in Mobile Bay and Gulf Shores. We camped here over spring break and although we chose this campground because of the pool, the pool and lazy river were closed for renovation while we were there. Had we known, we would have stayed elsewhere. The advertised distance to the beach is definitely misleading. It is 30 minutes via the Foley Beach express to the nearest beach and 45-60 minutes if you take the main road with all the traffic. The internet was hit or miss, you were lucky to get 10 minutes of connection even though your computer shows four bars. Many of our neighbors complained about it as well. This was mainly an older crowd with all planned activities also for an older crowd with the exception of the ice cream social in which our kids were the only ones there. On a positive note, the restrooms were nice and the people camping there were very friendly as a whole. We would not camp here again since it is so far to the beach and not much else to do here considering the other campgrounds we drove through were much closer and more convenient. It was our first visit to this park and we absolutely loved it. The park is kept in pristine condition. The restrooms and showers are the best we've seen anywhere. We really enjoyed the pool and even hit an item on our bucket list by going down the water slide! Our site backed onto the smaller of the two lakes on the property which was full of fish. Also, since our bedroom is at the rear of our rig, every morning we had the sunrise through our bedroom window. Sadly we've left just as the social activities get underway, but if we ever go back to Alabama we would make Johnny's a destination - especially now that we hear they're putting in a hot tub! Campground is very nice. CATV worked great, WiFi was a little slow, office staff was very pleasant and sites were level with good water pressure and electrical service. There are 2 pools and one water slide pool with 3 tube slides. Near plenty of shopping and restaurants. Only about 15 minutes from the Gulf beaches. And the price of $25 was not bad either. This is our second time here and we will definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a first rate campground and the management and staff are very friendly. The campground is well maintained; there is a gazebo and pretty lake. One of the staff even stooped by our site and gave us some fresh picked satsumas. This is the 4th time that we have stayed there and the first time that I've taken the time to write a review. The campground has always been a great place to stay--that's why we keep returning. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Be careful if bringing in pets. First thing they told us was the rules. We were told that if we didn't pickup our dogs business right after she was done, we were out. If we left our site for any reason and didn't take the dog, we were out. If our kids were loud, we were out. The list went on for about 3 minutes. This was after they took our money. The office staff was very rude and made it known that they did not want kids or pets in their park and that they wanted us to be 55 or older. The sites were not bad and mostly level. Good drive to get to the beach, about 7 miles. Lots of traffic noise if you are near the gate. Don't think you would like this place if you have kids. Won't be going back. This park is definitely for the 55+ age group. While here for a month we didn't see any children. Don't feed the plastic ducks in the lake. Never saw a live duck or goose in the small pond (lake?). Gravel sites pretty level. Lots of small trees. Very small pool. No exercise facilities. Cable TV was free. WiFi costs $30 a month but weak signal and slow. Not many activities in the park. This is a laid back quiet park. No fires allowed except a central location for special events. Cost per month was $450. All in all a decent park for the money. Everyone was nice & friendly. This is a worn out park recently purchased by Leisure Concepts Management who is attempting to turn it into a "condo" concept. They were attempting to sell sites but with little success and if you saw the park you would know why. There is a small lake in the older section of the park that is surrounded by sites, all gravel. The north end of the park is basically a field with utilities, poor landscaping with metal industrial/warehouse buildings. A new pool but really a kid size and that's about it for amenities. They did build a very nice sales office, I wonder why? The staff was great but obviously embarrassed about their product. Don't waste your time or hard earned money here. If going to the Gulf Shores area, attempt to get into the Gulf Shores State Park. We found it too late. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Very friendly, accommodating, manager & owner. Both were willing to do anything asked of them to make our stay comfortable. Absolutely spotless restrooms & showers. Newly opened park. Only 7 miles from Foley where you can find everything you want and 15 miles or so from the beaches. Excellent Wi-Fi, new club house, outstanding laundry facilities and spotless facilities. All grass pull through sites, landscaping and overall upkeep of the park is top notch. Owner was on site putting up fencing with the park manager/workamper - very helpful and cordial. This is a great place to stay for a quiet, peaceful break from the busy campgrounds found closer to the beaches. We will be back for a couple months next winter - "Bravo to the Owner and workampers". Just opened Dec 2012. We had the only paved pull through (owner is supposed to pave more sites), and the rate reflects a week at $125, daily rate is $30. They accept only check or cash. Tight entrance and exit from the country road for us. Tight turn inside for our 40+ft motorcoach and tow. We made it, but if this place fills up, might not work. Very quiet, solitary, out of the way on back country roads. Nothing is close by; US Post Office designates this as Foley, while Magnolia Farms would be closest. Our site was very level with easy hook up access. Other sites are all on grass, might be a problem with the rains as there were puddles all over even on asphalt road. Nice new clubhouse with code lock access. Wifi worked great. Beautiful new wood table and bench at each site; weather was not cooperative for use of those. Cordial owner and site manager. Come prepared for a solitary experience and a drive to Foley or Fairhope. A good place for someone who wants to just sit back. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Recently opened campground - new owners doing excellent job in getting it on the road. Brand new club house and laundry facility. New picnic tables at sites. Several sites have padio pads, but rest are grass - level and easy to get in and out of. Park is beautifully maintained and manicured. Excellent WIFI through entire park - very quiet location - a real "vacation" place. We will be back. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The price and reviews of 'this' park looked good so we drove the dinghy out for a look. That's the first thing to be careful of. Our GPS had us going down a dirt road when there is paved access to the park. Which brings up the second issue. We were actually going to look at the park next door but the dirt road lead us to this park first. So we went to it first. Immediately upon arrival we were met by the host, a great guy. We reserved a site for 2 weeks on the spot. Which brings up the next issue. Between that visit and our arrival with the RV, SPEED MOUNTAINS were put in. I understand the unfortunate need for speed bumps, and have no problem with them, but these were excessive. On the two lane interior roads, they cut diagonally across. This essentially rocks your coach not just up and down, but side to side. On one of the single lane roads, they may well be hazardous. One of the other guests expressed concern about whether or not his raised jacks had adequate clearance to get over them. Internet access was good. No cable TV, but no obstructions for satellite. It is a great central location for all that the surrounding areas have to offer. But, seriously, the speed bumps have to go. They are bad enough, that when I had to leave the park to have some warranty work done, we went to a different, more expensive park rather than endure those monstrosities. The host gets a 10. The park an 8. The bumps a 0. That averages out to a 6. And that is an absolute shame. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The park is out in the middle of some cotton fields and is set up as a condominium park where you can lease the lots. The operators of the park, as well as the other people we met, were very friendly and helpful. The park, however, has very narrow roads and there are very few amenities. I would give the park employees a "10" but the park gets only a "6". There is no cable and the site we were on was not very level. The sites do have concrete pads and patios. Not a bad park, but just not much to do. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We spent the winter here. 12 miles from Gulf, close to shopping, dining, medical facilities, what a clean and friendly park. Great amenities and get together. We are going back for this winter. This park is near the village of Magnolia Springs, 5 miles west of Foley. Full time residents and long term winter guests are the mainstay. The host was indifferent to my short term stay of 3 days. No map of the park and I had to ask for a statement as well as the amenities. OTOH the residents are very friendly and helpful. If you have a dog you will fit in very well. The park is terraced with the Community building being on the top level. The next 2 levels are older, well shaded, and sites may be on grass or concrete. The newer and lowest level is more spacious and open. The showers were fine as was the Wi-Fi. There was no defined path to the community building or parking. We can recommend the Blue Marlin Family restaurant a few miles west on 98. The 9 hole par 3 course is well kept and fun to play. It is the only reason we would return. Rate posted is the PA rate plus tax. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Small, no frills, simple park. They have a small clubhouse where the showers are. They had a couple of functions while we were here: dance, pot luck, breakfast, etc. Very fun people. We had a great time. Hosts treated us like family. We really felt at home and comfortable. Not much for scenery and sites are very close together. Wi-Fi worked great all the time. Great for golfers, since golf course is walking distance, but out of the way from everything else. Not great for kids, since there are no kid amenities. Priced right. We stayed here for 6 weeks. Very nice snowbirds in the park- clubhouse activities were fun. Convenient to Foley and Gulf Shore area. One of their few amenities is Free Laundry with only 2 washers and 3 dryers. This would be fine but the washers/dryers were very old and broke down while we were staying in the park. They need to replace washers/dryers asap. I agree with other review regarding the area that was dug up for construction and left a muddy mess. The biggest problem was the Wi-Fi did not work most of the time. Very weak signal only way to use the internet was to go to the clubhouse- not convenient. Many people complained about the Wi-Fi but nothing done to correct the problem. Felt the managers could be more helpful to the guests in resolving problems. Did not use the golf course. Might stay again if the Wi-Fi and washer/dryer issue is fixed. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

They allow people to have their vehicles extend into roadway: horrible feeling of congestion. They have been going to fix washers/dryers for six months. They created general mess around the central building. Dug out and left a dirt mess. If you like a hillbilly setting, where they mow the grass and trash your unit with grass clipping (stuck to the side four foot up): this is your place. This is a campground under development. The sites are very nice: level with a concrete patio. Most sites are shaded. The downfall of this campground is the bath. There are only 2 shower stalls for each sex, and the person must step out of the shower stall into the general bathroom in order to dry off. There is no place to hang up a towel or clothes, and it is really a public area. Private only to same sex. Laundry is also lacking space. Quite a drive into Foley, the closest real town. Really nice people to check you in and were on site. It was raining very hard when we came in and they said we could write or check in the AM. Of course they had our credit card number from the reservation, but that was so very thoughtful. Most sites are cement pads, a little patio and then some grass. Nice enough showers, small but adequate. As we walked our dog people and dogs were very friendly. We used CCWS here, so rate was only $14. Very quiet and yet close enough to Foley and Gulf Shores. If you enjoy playing par three golf, then this is the place for you! Great little course adjacent to the park, and for a mere $7, one can play all the golf one wants - for the entire day! There are nice level concrete pads that we backed into with our travel trailer. There were very friendly campers who were staying for most of the winter. They welcomed us immediately, and we enjoyed a fabulous Thanksgiving pot luck lunch with everyone else in the park. We loved Magnolia Springs RV Hideaway and Golf Resort, would highly recommend it and hope to stay there again - for more than two weeks next time! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is a fairly nice park, but the management was very rude and condescending to us. They refused to honor the campground membership club that we belong to in spite of the fact that they were listed on the club membership web site as members. While we tried to resolve the issue with the management of the club they became impatient about receiving payment. They at least gave us a discount based on one of the other clubs to which they say they belong. We were in a site next to their garbage bin which was near overflowing when we got there and they never had a pick up during the three days that we were there. They occasionally pushed the garbage tighter in the bin. It stunk! It is too bad because the park itself is OK. The site we were in backed up to a nice wooded area in the back. Hopefully the owners will replace the park managers. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a very nice little golf park and would be a fun place to stay for a week or longer. We found getting our 5th wheel into our site extremely difficult and sure wouldn't want to go through the contortions again for a shorter stay. All the facilities appeared clean and neat. This park is well maintained. The top row is reserved for occasional campers. This row has level concrete pads with lush grass surrounding each site. Above the top row is a recreation hall which also has restrooms/showers. Beyond the recreation hall is a 9 hour, par 3 golf course. Everything is very beautiful and quiet. I stay about three days each month on business. I use Passport America and get my lot for $10 a day. Wifi is available for a $1 a day. The park is extending. The only negative is some monthly campers on the bottom row that are local working folks. But hey working people need a place to stay. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The park was well kept. What interested us the most was the 9 hole par 3 golf course that was adjacent to the campground. The staff was out all the time either on the course or around the campground doing work. The golf course was just beautiful. We stayed here two weeks and found it to be a pleasant, quiet place. All sites are angled back-ins and I had no trouble backing in with my 40' MH. WiFi is $1 per day and works well on the first level where all the pads and patios are concrete. Second level the patios are concrete the sites gravel and a third level is under construction. This is a Passport America park. Rates are currently $18, but are going up to $20 for 2005. This campground is well maintained, management very friendly. Sites are on two levels. The top row has concrete sites with patios and concrete access road and is free of overhanging trees for easy satellite access. The bottom row has gravel road with dirt and grass sites with patios and some larger trees. Sites are large enough for slides and awnings with a little room to spare. It is advertised as large enough for 40ft. vehicles. There is a large room for meetings or pot luck dinners (held often), TV w/satellite, games and puzzles, bookshelf full of books to share. Wireless internet is available for a dollar a day. They add your wireless card mac # to their system for access, no password and fee is paid when you leave. It is not advertised as an adult only park, but there are no activities here for children. Discount golf fees are available for campers. Foley is 6 miles or so from Gulf Shores so there is plenty to do. The town has Wal-Mart, Home Depot, etc., for shopping. We've been here for two weeks and will stay until Dec 27. Everyone here is very friendly. Most are here for the entire season. I think this is a fairly new park. We camped here in a Motorhome.

They are large, 35 to 40' wide and 70' long. Management is very friendly. They do an excellent job keeping the park neat and safe. We lived here over 1 year and enjoyed it immensely. Not a lot of facilities, but well maintained. Not considering amenities, I would rate this park a 10. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
