The staff are friendly, and very very quick to fix any issues (mine were with the water and the electrical) that arose with the campground. Full time camping is allowed, so some sites look quite cluttered. The campground is next to a marina, and the camping fee covers all boat launch fees. Good campground for watercraft owners. Note: There is a sewer pump out station, that can be quite problematic to the normal camper. They really need (at least) one dump station, since there are no sewer hook ups. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a nice city park with a very friendly staff. It is a short walk to the marina and there is a very nice bike/walking path close by. It is heavily treed, making it difficult to get a satellite connection. There is a dump station but it has fittings for a boat that don't fit what most of us carry with us. I don't know if the little store carries an adapter, but an adapter is described on the pump. Many of the sites are long and paved. The staff will allow you to pick out a site and several are level. It's a circular campground and some of the sites would be a little tight for a long RV. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Clean, quiet park. Some sites had sewer hookups, which is uncommon in most state parks. It was not a busy time of year so we had lots of privacy. The sites were wide and shaded. There were hiking trails and some beautiful vistas of areas surrounding the mountain. The location was excellent. We would definitely return. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This was our first visit to Monte Sano campground and we really enjoyed it. We stayed on the outer part of the Record Drive loop & had a nice view of city lights below through the trees. The sites are shady and roomy. The bath house was clean & well supplied. We enjoyed the peace and quiet at night and a beautiful view of the stars, since there are no street lights along the loop. The city of Huntsville is only about 5 minutes from the park. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Rate reflects average of four night of camping. Two nights at discounted rate ($19), and two (Friday & Saturday) at full rate of $22). Plus 11% tax. Previous reviews are pretty much right on. Our site (#13) was a bit uneven for our 28 foot rig, but we made it work. No cellular service (Verizon) but plenty of local over the air TV. Very clean restrooms. Got a bit busy on the weekend, but there were plenty of empty sites, too. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Older campground with narrow winding roads. Paved sites are well spaced and heavily treed. Wi-fi is fast, but erratic. Very convenient to everything. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We camped here while on a business trip. Very nice campground right close to the space center. Very convenient to everywhere. The sites are spaced out so you're not on top of each other and there is a field where the space camp kids shoot off their model rockets. Lots of rocket eating trees too! We camped here in a Motorhome.
