For an older RV park this is one of the best I've ever stayed in. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Most sites are occupied by long-term residents with a small number of sites for over-niters or short-term stays. It's very quiet here - no motorcycles, ATVs, loud vehicles, young partiers, etc. The RV park, pool area, laundry room, lounge, bath and shower rooms are very clean and well-kept. Definitely worth the effort one must make in order to get an available site. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This park was purchased by new owners, and is no longer El Rio. It has been re-named Colorado River Oasis. The new owners have obviously been pouring a lot of money into the park. The clubhouse, sandy beach, boat dock, palm trees, laundry and gym are all brand new or completely renovated. The sites are very wide and level gravel back-ins with rock solid 50-amp service from excellent power pedestals. There are a lot of snowbirds in the park who seem to know each other after many winters here, but they were very welcoming to us. There was a big community dinner in the clubhouse while we were there, and several people encouraged us to come join in. A very friendly place, including the owners, and we would definitely return. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Nice place and sites are plenty wide enough but short enough that you need to park somewhere else if your rig is over 30'. Clean park, good staff, nice little play area on the waterfront. Mostly long term residents. The only issues I have are 1) wireless isn't free, and 2) the laundry room only has one washer and one dryer and both are expensive. Other than that, it's a good enough place for an overnight or two. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice park. Very friendly staff. Better than average cable TV. Wide spaces, plenty of room to back in our 25 foot 5th wheel. We stayed here 3 nights and would definitely stay here anytime we are in this area. We experienced road noise from the highway but would still give this park a 10 rating. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a great park for dry camping. I know they have hookups available as well, but being close enough to touch my neighbor does not appeal to me. Hence, we dry camp a lot. We had the perfect spot on the south beach. Site was level, we were on the beach, had a covered picnic table, garbage can, and fire pit, we were walking distance to the casinos in Laughlin across the river, and our closest neighbor was 3 sites away, also on the beach. The weather was perfect the entire time, and the security and park maintenance patrolled the area on a regular basis, so we did not even have to put our BBQ away when we left our site. We will definitely be back next year. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a great little surprise park (although not completely a surprise because we read about it on RV Park Reviews). It is right on the Colorado River. There are non-hook up sites right to the river, or hook up sites above the river or full hook up sites in a different area of the park. There is a great place for the dogs to run near the river and swim safely in a little lagoon. I would would given it a 10 except the people at the office weren't all that friendly. Also, they weren't available for ice at the times they said they would be open. The sites are a little bit close together on the hill portion of the park. The ones by the river would be great if you didn't want hookups of any kind. Next time we would do those and boondock. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

With its appealing Spanish entry, the first impression was cleanliness. We are glad we stopped here. A secure park with an evening guard, it's a very clean senior haven with park models and with sparkling swimming pools, which offers overnight RVs an inexpensive full hook-up option while visiting Laughlin's casinos. We would have rated a 10 if there had been shade trees. We would stay here again as an overnight stop. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is basically a 55+ resort. Many park models but very nice in a Spanish type setting. Super clean. Very large area although the sites are close you don't feel cramped. They have two large pools (a cool pool and a warm pool), plus two hot tubs (a warm tub and a hot spa type). All salt water pools. Super grounds and lots of areas for hobbies. Very convenient to all major type stores. Only draw back, its windy in this area and it blows about 1/2 the month. Sometimes it can get high winds. Never could leave the awnings down. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I guess you could give this park a 10 because they only charge 10, i don't know but I wish there were more places to stay like this that when passing through, you could get by with ten dollars. Their were no hook-ups, and thats ok for ten bucks at night. It got pretty quiet even when the bikers rally was going on, outside of the summer months I would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We were passing through the area yesterday and decided to check out Katherine's Landing to see what it would be like to camp there in the fall/winter. We had quite a surprise when we came into the area as all the four camp areas on the left side of the road were closed to camping and reserved for boating overflow, not a sole in any of the four areas. The only one they had open was on the right side by the rangers office and what a site to see! It looks as if the camp workers had lived there since earth's creation as they had more trash/junk stashed around their campsite than I had ever seen. In addition they had a few campsites occupied by people living out of their cars; it looked as if they were homeless with no place to go. I wonder if they (the park rangers) collected the $10.00 camp fee from them. If this is what our NFS campgrounds are becoming and with the cost of camping in them going up also, I wonder who is pocketing the money as all the help is strictly volunteer. It's a shame to see what we are paying for and getting in return from the National Park Service, maybe this is the exception, but it should be looked into. I have notified the National Park Service of my findings at Katherine's Landing and requested that they look into it. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We enjoyed our stay so much last year that we decided to stay 2 weeks this year. Same friendly staff, clean laundry, and friendly people. Antenna TV picture was better than cable picture. Did not use park Wi-Fi. Will definitely return. Rate is C2C + resort fee. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Rate is Coast-to-Coast. Utilities were fine, sites are generally large enough and level enough. Paved roads but dirt sites. Easy access and maneuvering. Verizon is Extended Network and is shaky but rumor is they have bought the local system and will take it over. Laundry is good. The park is not new but it is fine with no glaring issues to us. We will stay again if in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

An older park with tight, small spaces, which is typical for parks in the area. It is necessary to coordinate with your neighbor when you want to leave. There were many permanent residents but that did not bother us. The price was reasonable and staff friendly. There is a charge for WiFi, but we did not use it. We would stay here overnight if in the area again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Stayed here 2 weeks. Price was competitive. Lots were huge and the store/deli was nice. Our only major complaint was their wi-fi or lack of. They advertise it but it was down a week before we got there and was still down when we left. Nobody knew the status of the wi-fi and I got the impression they didn't care either. If you want wi-fi make sure it's running before you pay for your campsite. No refunds. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This park has little appeal to it. Basically sits on top of a windy bluff and the wind blows in this area a lot. The good qualities are the dog run is nice and large, and also the restrooms & showers were clean. Lots of permanent residents. Park roadways are fairly narrow so a large motorhomes might have trouble navigating the roads. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Second time staying at this park. The owner gives us the same rate every time. This park is about 60% snowbirds, 20% passing thru campers, 20% permanents. It is a resort in the fact it has a pool, gym, and clubhouse with planned activities. Since we are the ones that are just passing through, there are some things we don't get to take advantage of. This park also has a great dog park. Also the first road to the left as you enter the park seems to be where most of the permanents are. This particular street seems to look a little junky, but the rest of the park looks very good. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Check in was hectic. We did not care for the location or position of our lot, but we stayed there anyway. Wi-Fi does not work at all. Hookups were at the very back of our coach which makes it more difficult to get connected. Barking dogs, more in the daytime than nighttime, is a real problem in this park. This park does have a nice library where you can swap books. Other than that we were very disappointed and we will not stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
