Could use more signs to find the park. Very large retirement park with mostly mobile homes. Has a very nice check-in person. Has many activities and the best laundry I have been in for months. Seems to be more of a winter community for seniors. We went here to visit family. There are so many parks in the area, that I think we will try another park the next time. This is one of Cal-Am’s smaller resorts in Mesa and is strongly marketed to long term tenants. You must be 55 or older to stay here. The parks look pretty boring, with park models and RVs stacked in by the hundreds and with little grass to break up the miles of gravel and concrete. But that said, everything in the park was clean and well cared for. There is an escort to your site, a large pool and whirlpool, 8 shuffleboard courts and an active center with a lot going on. Each site gets a garbage can that is picked up twice a week and everything works. We stayed for 5 nights with a Camp Club USA discount that only cost us $17.50 per night. We would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I found this park to be an excellent value for our simple needs. Park is clean, well-maintained, and has a surprising amount of color for Arizona. It has a cute little dog park and I felt very safe behind the gated community. Very affordable pricing, so we extended our stay. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We loved staying here! We found this park to be quite charming with its country/cowboy theme found throughout. Though it is close to city amenities, the park itself is quiet and attractive with a lot of lovely landscaping, especially considering it's in the desert. It has a great view of the Superstition Mountains. The restrooms/park were clean and well maintained. People were friendly, and the owners helpful. It has a cute dog area and a club house where we both spent time watching the large screen TV and taking advantage of the free book trading area. We have a smaller rig (5th wheel) and fit just fine. My wife felt very secure there alone whenever I ventured out for the afternoon. I was very pleased with the price and happy to not have to pay for fancy amenities I wouldn't use. RV's are packed in as tight as a truck stop. We have 4 ft between our front door and the neighbor's slide out. No pool, no bingo and no planned activities except a potluck once a month. We are in the shade of the next RV (in January) so we would have to set our chairs in front of the backed in RV, out in the road, to sit in the sun. Gravel but at least not the huge kind with sharp edges. There is one tiny fenced off area designated as a dog park. We will not stay here again. Way too tight and nothing to do. We got the 50% off discount with Passport America and I believe they overrate themselves in the ad. We could not pick up the Wi-Fi. They had a list of rules 2 pages long and quickly took your money before you could read them. They allow small dogs but you are not allowed to walk them anywhere except a very tiny dog walk that sits underneath the hydro tower (about 20 ft x 20 ft). However, it was clean and if you only want overnight and do not have pets it is okay but too expensive at full rate. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

I gave this park a rating of 2 because of the park hosts, they were wonderful. The park is small and cramped. We were given a site with no sewer, and the water was so far away our hose couldn't reach. Fortunately our electric cord was long enough but we needed an adapter. When we opened our front door we had to avoid hitting a car parked next to us. Essentially we paid full price for an electric only site. We only stayed one night. We will not camp here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Besides the helpful staff, we did not enjoy much about this park. Everything was on the low end of average--the bathrooms, amenities, landscaping. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here and enjoyed it. It's a quiet little park with very nice people. I'll get the downs out of the way. The whole park is gravel, asphalt and cement. I know it's a desert but a little grass would be nice. There isn't much in the way of amenities either. The ups are, wonderful people. The manager and his family were really nice and will go out of their way to answer any questions. They do have some long term people in the park who also work camp and they are friendly. There was also a few kids there that my kids played with and had fun. We would definitely return with our kids. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Very basic, no-frills park with a fair price for Mesa. We paid $17.50 under Passport America; limit is 3 nights. Sites are thick gravel with a small pad, paved roads, no shade. Small laundry room and only one shower, 2 toilets per gender. Worked out fine in slow season, could be problem when park is full. New manager with family on site; kids are welcome so keep that in mind. VZ signal was strong, TV antenna was good too. Has some traffic noise. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This was a very nice, clean park. It was geared toward retirees (no children), but 3/4 of the park were permanent residents. We were parked along the side of the park, rather than in an actual pull-through. The hostess was very helpful and friendly. The whole park was beautifully maintained. We enjoyed our stay and would probably visit again if we're ever in this area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Dont let the "dog run" fool you into coming here, because it is nasty. People do not pick up after their pets. The dog run is putrid smelling and small. Lights were out half the time and fence is falling down. Trash emptied maybe three times while we were there during the whole month. Between the manager and the replacement manager, you will be charged two different rates. I would not recommend this park to anyone until the owner gets rid of these two rip-offs. While we were there, in one week the police were called four times for stupid stuff that could have been handled within the management. BEWARE OF LYING, CHEATING MANAGERS, and I use the term manager loosely in this case. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This place has gone downhill in spades from last year. New manager that is not available most of the time. But the worst changes are in the maintenance of the park. The restrooms are kept filthy, grime and mold along with trash in the shower area. On our last visit under the previous management the bathrooms were kept spotless! We will contact the owner about this problem, but rumor has it he is on a personal relationship with the manager. Maybe a call to the Mesa Health department would be a better call. We'll give them time to clean up this mess, but if they don't we won't be back. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed in this park using a Camp Club discount for one week and Good Sam for another. The Manager was very accommodating, friendly and informative. The restrooms, shower and laundry area was spotless. There was no pool and the WiFi (which was free) worked about half the time. Half the park is 50 plus and the other is open to anyone. Sites were large. There is a free library and video collection in the laundry area We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is the worst park I have ever been in. Now I know how the minorities were treated in Alabama in the early 60s. The realty broker is one of the most unprofessional, disrespectful people I have ever had the unpleasant opportunity to have dealings with. This is mostly park models. The call it a resort, but it is a low class trailer park. The chief of security uses profanity all the time and calls his employees names. The residents treat you like an old shoe. The facilities are no better than any other campground I have been in. I would never go back and do not recommend anyone else come here. We had a guy that started drinking at 8AM everyday and then drove his golf cart around after he had about 10 beers. Management knew it, but never said anything to him, even after he yelled at renters. What a jerk! We camped here in a Motorhome.

The staff had to be the most rude people we have met. This is a trailer park for 55+. There are few RV spots and the rental people are so arrogant you would get sick. It is full of Canadians and Americans that think they are better than anyone. They are in trailers for God sake! I met the head person of security and if this person doesn't have a Napoleon complex no one does. We will never stay here again and I would not recommend anyone stay there. They try to sell trailers for way over value. This is no resort! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a park model park that didn't make it. So it caters to more RV's then park model sales. The parking pads are higher than the street with a dip added for water drainage. If you are parking or leaving the site make sure it's at an angle. We saw a new Marquis high centered here! There are no showers at this park, but the pool and hot tub are well maintained. The Wi-Fi is TengoInternet and costs money. The rules are three pages long but so far no problem. All the sites are clean but need more vegetation for privacy. Cable TV is stated as an amenity, but is not included in the price. We paid $387 for a month plus 12 cents per kilowatt for electricity. The staff was very professional and helpful. We would probably stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a mainly a very large trailer park for permanent residents. There is nothing wrong with this except this is not what we expected and not what we want when traveling. The "pioneering spirit" is just non existent, and we miss the "casual neighbor" who is traveling him/her self. There seem to be no incentive to get to know "the new guys" because everybody already has enough well known friends amongst the other permanent residents. The RV site is extremely clean. Bathrooms and showers are among the best we have seen, and the pool, hot tub and laundry rooms are in absolute perfect condition. Sites are very small. We traveled in a 40" motorhome and were struggling to back into a site. We ended up fitting in but only after having taken off our towing hitch. With the hitch attached we would be too long to fit. Our rating of 4 may in some peoples' view be unfair, but as mentioned - this type of RV park is not for us. We won't come back. Sorry!! We camped here in a Motorhome.

We were there winter of 07, had a 50 amp plug, but it was not 50 amp service. They had three huge generators running trying to keep up with demand and it didn't work. People without elec meters in coach were burning out refers and electronics. Way too close to neighbor, could reach out our window and touch her park model. Registered for a month but left after 5 days. Would NEVER stay there again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is an over-55 RV and Mobile Home Park. We got the off-season rate using a Passport America membership. Rates are double in the peak season and discount is limited to 7 days. This is not a family park but we found it very friendly and met many people who live here for extended times. There were many RV's including 5th wheels and motor homes using the park on a short term basis. Sites were spacious but are designed to hold a mobile home so leaving your tow vehicle hooked up for an over night stay is not possible. Staff were excellent and we were lead to the site and assisted in backing our trailer into the site. The facilities are exceptional, especially the pools and spas which we used extensively. The two pools are kept at different temperatures as are the two spas so we had "just the right temperature" that we wanted. There were two very large covered areas to keep you in the shade as required. Restrooms were very clean and spacious. Telephone and cable are available for long term stays only and Internet is user pay. We may stay longer on our next visit, an excellent park as long as you realize it is mainly a mobile home park. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Pros: Park amenities are wonderful – activities of all kinds, two large pools, two medium sized pools, two hot tubs, exercise room, library, happy hours every night at the main pool, hair/nail services on-site. Nice, updated facilities, well maintained. When staying at one Cal-Am property, you may use facilities at other Cal-Am properties. Cons: Tight fits to get into spots, but once in, there’s enough room. Strangest dog rules we’ve ever encountered in 10+ years of RV’ing. Although they have two okay-sized dog areas, they’re not grass. There are only certain streets which dogs may be walked, which creates a very “for” & “against” dog feeling all over – created a lot of tension among residents & visitors. Neutral: Many park models, which we do not mind, but some people do mind. Large (2005 sites) – again, not an issue for us, but some may feels it’s too large of a park for them. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a huge RV resort in Mesa, surrounded by other large resorts, which hosts both RVs and park models, some of which are quite old. Most guests stay for several months, if not the entire winter season. This is really not a one night stopover park. Despite a recent facelift in community area, the park is getting old and starting to look seedy. Streets are narrow, making it hard to get in to sites. Grapefruit trees are great but make it hard to park in many sites. Occasional free beer at happy hour sometimes causes problems with conduct and hospitality. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Very tight for a 40 foot motorhome. Probably the most difficult back-in we have had for several years. Once in, it's an OK place. A lot of park models but still a reasonable amounts of RV's. We enjoyed the warmest swimming-pool ever. It has to be said that we still prefer the adjacent Cal-Am park named Val Del Oro, but yes - we would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

OK place but filled with older somewhat dated park models. The place is typical of mega parks in the east valley. Also if you are over 40ft there is limited space. Mostly, dusty gravel sites along the wall for the bigger rigs. This is also the most noisiest area. Some scorpions are about so watch where you reach or walk, especially after sundown. The check in staff are a bit indifferent. Maybe this is the result of young people serving us older folks. Once you find the friendless then all is great. There are a lot of amenities though and the residents are very friendly. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Not for the faint of heart! If you don't know how to handle backing your rig into tight spots stay at another Cal-Am park such as Valle Del Oro. If you can park along the north wall there is more room. We watched a newby spend two and a half hours trying to get into his site. He buried the trailer in a fruit tree. When the park is full of Canadian snowbirds from January through March it is very tight everywhere. They like to park their cars on everyones site but there own. The park model crowd do not respect the RVer's spaces. Activities and facilities are good and there is plenty to do if you want to join in. They get some good show talent in season. The dog situation is awful when the park is full. There are two small dog parks at either end for 2005 spaces. Our dogs were unable to make it to them to take care of business so empty sites were used. But when the park is full it gets tough! You will be turned in to the office by snowbirds if you come near their sites! Since most RVers travel with pets this makes the pet rows most uncomfortable. Again if choosing Cal-Am, try Valle Del Oro. It's newer and allows more room for getting in as well as separation between RVs and park models. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This was an amazing "city" in itself! A bit cramped as far as each space, and not much in the way of 'off street' parking when residents had visitors, but the spaces were nice, and there are a LOT of amenities. I spent a lot of time exercising in the pools, and we visited with a lot of the friendly people there. We especially liked that there were two large enclosed dog areas where our Brittany & Cavaliers (spaniels) could play with their new friends. The Wi-Fi, however, was a sore point: hot spots did not include where we were, so I had to take my laptop to their computer lab to connect - that was frustrating and inconvenient. Centrally located to a lot of activities and shopping, but not noisy. Overall, we did enjoy being there for nearly two weeks. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

If you are searching for the 80+ year old Canadian and upper midwestern snowbirds, look no further! Mesa Regal is mostly park models, with the few unsold lots they rent to RVs. Each lot has two grapefruit trees located on either side of the pad, so you will scratch your RV backing in. Each park model encroaches into the adjoining RV lot, so you risk damaging the awning struts or light pole of the adjoining park model. All the streets are narrow, which impedes maneuvering a fifth wheel towed by a long bed truck. The office staff makes no attempt to find a lot large enough to accommodate your rig, as they care only about how much work they have to do to set up electrical billing on the lot. The snowbirds ignore you, since they already belong to their clique of friends. The Wi-Fi is in name only. One good thing about Mesa Regal is that it is located across the street from Superstition Ranch Market, which sells fresh fruits and vegetables at very reasonable prices. Rate is monthly excluding electric, sewer and trash. We won’t stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed here one week using PassPort. Very nice park, friendly people. They have off leash dog runs which were very clean and gave our dog lots of fun, exercise and a chance to socialize. Some sites are a little tight to get into, but the park has someone you follow to the site and help you back in. Paid the PassPort rate for one week with no extra fees. Used my credit card. Every site has a trash and recycle container on it. Lots of activities mostly geared to the seasonal guests. I would definitely come back when in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is one of those parks you either love or hate. The only thing previous reviewers didn't mention is that the park-wide Wi-Fi system is useless. It's so overloaded that you can never connect. But if you're willing to walk/drive to one of two libraries, you can connect easily. We used the Passport rate. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park is huge and mostly park models. Most park model people do not want RVers around, so not the greatest atmosphere. There are many activities so you can be kept very busy if you want to and the park is conveniently located to shopping access. Some of the lots are wide but very hard to get into because the streets are very narrow and there are fruit trees on each corner. We couldn't get our door open all the way because of the tree and had to wrap the door to keep the paint from being scratched by the branches. The man in the park model behind us was very particular about how close we parked to his unit so we were unable to move back the 6 inches it would have taken to clear the tree. It wouldn't have made any difference to the rear access of his place. Because it is so hard to navigate, be sure your propane tanks are full because Mesa does not allow propane delivery to your RV. I say there is access for 40 foot rigs, but it is tight and you should check out the site before you commit to it. There is now a charge for water and sewer and garbage and all power is metered, including daily rates. There are many activities, but I didn't find one that wasn't an extra charge. I wanted to use the sewing room cutting table to cut out a large piece of fabric but was told it would cost me $15 to belong to the sewing club and only members could use the tables. You must buy your name tag even for relatively short stays and there is no refund. They only take checks and money orders for rent so don't expect to use cash or credit card. We don't use checks and it wasn't mentioned when we phoned to get a spot, so it came as quite a surprise and we had to scramble to find a way to pay. The office staff is without a doubt the worst we have encountered in the 13 years we've been on the road. I don't know if that is the way they are naturally, or if Cal-Am trains their staff to be like this. I won't be finding out because this is the last time I ever stay at a Cal-Am park. When we checked in we were given the total cost for the 2-1/2 months we would be here and we paid it and our receipt gave the in and out dates and the total and that it was paid. A month later I went in to pay the utility bill and was told they didn't charge enough and they wanted another $150.00. I pointed out that my receipt said I was paid up but the clerk couldn't (wouldn't) do anything about it so the next month I talked to the office manager. The reason for the delay was the holiday season. She also said that we just hadn't paid enough and they wanted more and that our rent was only paid up to that day and if we wanted to stay to the date I originally had asked for we had to pay the extra money or leave. She obviously had been coached and had her mind made up long before I arrived. I had plans already made so we couldn't leave so we had to pay the extra cost. I am quite sure that legally I didn't have to because my receipt clearly stated that I was paid up but I had no idea how to fight it, so I paid. NEVER EVER will I come back to this park and strongly advise that if you do decide to come here that you get everything in writing and don't assume that a paid in full invoice means anything to these people. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Now, I know lots of people love this place, but it just wasn't our cup of tea. We were staying 3 nights and there was no separate area for overnighters. We were wedged in between park models. Way too tight. Dog run area smelled to high heaven and the dog restrictions on walking (limited to only a few streets) were tight. Thank goodness we found the back exit and a place to walk the dog along a canal. My biggest beef is that overnighters need their own area. Trash disposal was over 1/2 mile away. Showers and laundry were too far away to be practical. Folks were so nosy as to be constantly commenting on our "late hours" (we returned 8PM each night because we preferred to be anywhere but that park). We would never stay here, (or in Mesa--very depressing area) again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here six months as workampers and loved it. (The nightly rate reflects the six month rate including trash and water but not including electricity.) It is true that it can be difficult to back into some of the sites if you have a large rig. We managed to squeeze our 37' MH in between a lamppost and grapefruit tree and thoroughly enjoyed our space with a double concrete pad. There is a very reasonably priced coin-operated laundry at the west end of the park as well as a card operated one near the east end. Dog walks at both ends of the park are clean, well kept and do not smell. Many, many activities, great pools and excellent restrooms and showers. The on-site grill-style restaurant is very good with ample portions at good prices. A wonderful, cheap, fresh market is right across the street: we bought pineapples for 49 cents! No cable TV, but very good local reception with antenna. We'll be back. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Large but with three entrances, one is going to be nearby. Great location. Beautiful facilities that are well maintained. People are friendly and happy to be here. We would definitely stay here again. We had no problem backing into a space that is 35 feet wide. Each site has a grapefruit tree on it. My only wish is that there was a table for eating on the site. We came using a Passport America rate and then got a special rate for the next 45 days. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The back-in sites are hard to access here. The facilities were very clean. They have a great lap-pool and the showers were spotless. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Will not return again after our third visit. Huge price increase, plus new added charges $22 for garbage pickup and $11.00 for sewer. Fewer activities, and WiFi and has not been improved as they promised a year ago. Park growing seedy around the edges, and seems somehow dirty. Many fewer RV's visiting this year and many more used park models for sale. More than the economy would seem to indicate. Park model owners seem to be unhappy, and upset. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is very nice RV Resort, mostly park models, with a great hot tub and swimming pools and lots of things to do. The sites have plenty of room with good concrete patios if you can get in; we were put between a lamp post and tree on a narrow street which made it very difficult to get in and out! The second week we were here we had a new bicycle stolen from our site and then found out we were not the only ones, so from then on we had to be sure everything was locked up. There rates are deceiving, be sure and check out all the add-ons, sewer, trash, water, $2.00 for a badge etc. We stayed here in a 5th wheel and will find a different place next time; actually you’re here for “valley of the sun”. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Used our Passport America card what a bargain. Spots are a little tight to back into for big rigs but once in plenty of room. No cable but good TV reception. This might be a location I would spend a month or longer in. Oh by the way this is a 55 plus facility. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park is not set up for big rigs. We have a 37 ft. fifthwheel, pulled by a medium duty truck. We had a terrible time trying to get into a site. The first site we tried had a lamp post on one side and a grapefruit tree on the other. The tree was going to scratch the side of the trailer and the concrete base of the lamp post would have taken out the other side of the trailer. The grapefruit tree, on the other side of the road, ripped off our phone antenna on the truck. So, they sent us to another site, which wasn't much better. To not hit the grapefruit tree, we had to put the wheels of the trailer up over the curb, breaking off our mud flap in the process. This park will not accept anything less than 22 ft and, actually, that is about the size of trailer that should be in here! Numerous park models and no separate area for trailers or overnighters. Also, we paid the Passport America rate of $22.50. But, our Passport book stated the nightly rate was $17.00. The checkin person said that we must have an old book because their rates went up $5.00 this year! We just got this Passport book in 2007. We would have left after ripping off our antenna, but we had paid $75.00 for 3 nights and couldn't get our money back. So, big rigs take note! This is not the park for you. We will never stay here again. We just hope that we can get out of this site without doing anymore damage to out trailer or truck. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a great place for snowbirds with many activities to keep everyone busy. The majority of the park is occupied by park models. The size of the sites was ok, but the actual parking area was the narrowest we've ever had to back the motorhome into. We had a concrete patio on one side and shrubbery on the other. The streets are narrow, and there are many obstacles if you are trying to maneuver a large rv around. During the week we were there we saw a motorhome hit a lamp post and heard about someone scratching the side of their trailer on one of the fruit trees that are on each site. The laundry room is not short-term friendly. Machines are operated by a card you purchase and load with cash. Use a laundromat in the neighborhood instead of wasting your money on a card. Even though this is a nice resort, we won't stay here again because of the difficulty in maneuvering the motorhome. We camped here in a Motorhome.

While this park has an incredible number of activities and amenities, it gets a reluctant 8 rating from us. It's too big (over 2000 sites) and jammed full with park models and trailers to rate higher. RVs seem like an afterthought. Snowbirds here have the usual cliques and don't care about newcomers or visitors, although the dog owners are friendly as they gather in the little community dog park that stinks. Big warning: the water quality is atrocious, over the EPA level in contaminants. There is a RO machine for drinking water jug refills. Rates are high here, supporting the nice computer lab, billiards, crafts, library,pools and spa,post office, theaters, etc. It's like a self-contained city! PA half-price rate is available for one week ($22.50 daily plus fat AZ tax) but staff can only lead you to a site, not help back-in. Sites aren't very deep but seem wide enough, with a concrete patio. Ask to be near the buildings that you want, since the amenities are split into 2 different areas. Location is convenient since there's a path to Fry's and shopping centers. Area was usually quiet inside the walls, though private planes fly over daytime. We camped here in a Motorhome.

An urban park with all the amenities. Five pools, a theatre, pool tables, music room, poker room, a restaurant and much more. Not a wilderness setting. Over 90% of residents are seasonal. No picnic tables or fire pits. Each site has an orange or grapefruit tree bearing fruit. Sites are 35' wide. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Streets were reasonably wide but backing in is a bit of a challenge with mobile homes across the street and a grapefruit tree on each lot. Staff were quite helpful. The park is very pleasing to the eye with lots of trees and flowers. The facilities are exceptional, especially the pools and spas which we used extensively. There are two pools areas, both with pools and spas. Total of 4 pools and 2 spas in two locations. Shaded areas around the pools was very limited but there were lots of chairs and lounges. Restrooms were very clean and spacious. The laundry rooms were very large and clean, the best we have seen. Telephone and cable are available for long term stays only. Internet is free but some sites have marginal service. There is a computer room with 39 computers and space to hook up your laptops directly using the ethernet cable. There is both a hair salon and a barber shop(open October to April). This is an excellent park as long as you realize it is mostly a mobile home park. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

The park was clean. Many barking dogs. The pool, laundry and other amenities closed early for the night. Wi-Fi didn't work unless you were at the main office. I was so surprised with the fighting among the residents. I liked having the fruit tree in the front of each RV. I would not stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This was one of the nicest parks we've stayed at. It had all the amenities one could want plus it was within walking distance of grocery stores, a wonderful produce store, a drug store and many other shopping opportunities. Also very convenient to malls in the area. There are so many things to do right in the park you really never have to leave. The sites are very large and concrete so it is very clean and each site has a grapefruit tree. The office staff are the friendliest and most accommodating we dealt with all winter. There are many park models but the residents are also very friendly. We stayed here for two months. The wi-fi was very unreliable. This is an over 55 park but children are allowed short visits. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Staying here is like being in a friendly little city, with lots of snowbird residents in park models, and numerous RV sites. It's a Cal-Am Property, with over 2,000 sites, so all sites are pretty close together. Our site was on the outside perimeter of the resort, backed up to the high cement wall that surrounds the entire property. That meant that our bedroom was only a few feet away from a 6-lane surface road, University Drive, which is very heavily traveled. I just couldn't take the noise but Cal-Am let us transfer to Canyon Vistas Resort out in the desert. If you can get a site that isn't up against that perimeter wall, it would be quite comfortable. Security is good, amenities and activities are terrific. The people in the office were good, but not as friendly and helpful as the folks at Canyon Vistas. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is our second season in the park and we enjoy it very much. I only hope they will refurbish the dog parks as they are overcrowded with dogs. We will return. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We were disappointed with our stay this year. The price does not include Wi-Fi or cable, which you have to call the cable company and order to have it installed!! We have never had to call a cable company before. Plus there is a $4 fee for garbage pickup!! Too many add ons for what you get, which is basically a huge paved parking lot. The spaces are very tight although this time of year, there are a lot of empty spaces. We noted the surrounding neighborhood is starting to decline. We aren't sure if we will return in the future. There are just too many other parks to choose from and nothing special offered by this one. If you like lots of park activities, this is the place for you. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The low rate is only an 16 ft class c. We got a pull through site and got ripped off for $61.95 with good SAM! This part of town is a dump. It is way over priced. We would not come back. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The rate quoted is all in. It is the monthly fee plus the pet fee plus the garbage fee plus the electricity charge. The internet we had to pay for as well (tengointernet) and it was lousy. It was better than last year but still lousy. The pet area stank, smelled. It is need of cleaning. Otherwise than this it is nice clean park with lots of park models. They are working on updating some of the features. Lots of activities. The staff are all friendly along with the residents. We are seriously thinking of choosing a different park for next year. We stayed in 2010 and 2011 season. First year was great. This past season the bathrooms, showers, pools and laundry room were not kept clean. They did not even try in my opinion. Management was aware and did nothing to improve. They blamed it on the residents for "trashing" the bathrooms, but you can tell the difference. Pools had black smudge around the edges most of the season. If you use the laundry room, take your Clorox, and run the washer empty before putting your clothes in! We camped here in a Motorhome.

As an overnight facility, that's all it was. We were in a hurry to get away. Roadway construction made entrance to the facility very difficult. Entering at dusk I was told I would have a level site. Site 157 was anything but level. The facility is geared for 55+ RVer's that are here long term. I'm a 55+ RVer that won't be looking to return to this facility any time soon: certainly not for the rate charged and services rendered. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We spent 4 months here during the winter. A large park with numerous activities, there is something for everyone. The latest short stay found the park receiving less attention than before. Weeds were everywhere leaving us wondering what had happened to the management. The central location is a plus, but construction on Main Street made access difficult. The lack of upkeep was our biggest concern. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Adult summer camp with tons of things to do. We loved it. The only reason I would give it a 9 is the lack of birds and wildlife in the park. The park is confusing in the lay out as stated above, but after a day or two it can be figured out. Some of the staff are not as warm and patient as we would have liked but we didn't have to deal with them during the bulk of the trip. The classroom teachers were wonderful and the residents were wonderful and friendly. We will return next year. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed here for 5 nights visiting friends. Older senior adult park with mostly permanent residents. Construction on the main road where we entered made access difficult, however it looked like it should be done in a couple of months. Very friendly staff and helpful in backing into a tight, but doable spot in our 45 ft. motorhome between two permanent spots. Larger pull through sites were available at a higher rate. We found the laundry facilities very clean. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a large, well kept RV park. There are a lot of permanent units mainly in one section. There are pet areas and it is well laid out. There are plenty of activities available. The Wi-Fi worked good although it does cost extra as does the cable. You also are charge a "pet fee" for each pet. Everything was very clean and the staff were friendly. We would stay there again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

I'm not sure where the others were staying, but as before, we had a nice site, area was clean, all we could want to do in the park, easy access to all of the area. Yes, there was a horrible condition down on Main Street with the construction, but using the back gate off of University eliminated the need to go near it. Yes, there was dust from construction, the park has no control over that, and shouldn't be down rated because of it. Laundry, rest rooms, and pools at the north end of the park where we were: all clean and usable. Only problem we saw was not enough recyclable containers and some of the residents would put garbage in the recycle containers. Again not the park's fault that some people are so dumb. There are some sites that slope towards the road for drainage, but nothing that is impossible to level on. In fact, if you can't level you shouldn't be RVing. Yes, there are lots of Park Models around the park. This is a 55+ park in Mesa: of course there are park models. I'm not sure where some of these people stayed, because it sure wasn't at the Mesa Spirit that we were at! We will be back again for the 2011-2012 season. We camped here in a Motorhome.

If you're into this type of place then you'll like it. It's nice and close to shopping and some AWESOME restaurants. The park itself is a full timer/long term park no doubt about it. Very nice facilities, the pool and spa area is fantastic and a few of the locals we met were really nice (love the frog!). I scored it a 7 because of how the layout was executed. Maybe there is some logic or a master plan sort of idea that I can't come up with, but it seemed goofy to us. This place is setup with a billion identical lots. Each site (lot) has a gravel section and little concrete strip which then connects to a drive way. This makes the sites seem spacious, but it's clearly meant to drop a park model/mobile home on. Not so much an RV. We were felt like we were "camping" in a vacant lot in a really small neighborhood. Across the street was a house, there was a house behind us and several intermixed between other RVs. It seems like it would make more sense to have a section for short term or temporary people that catered to RVs and campers, rather then putting them on a vacant home site. Anyway, personal preference I guess. The other reasons for a 7 is the cable TV wouldn't have worked if we hadn't, (umm), well, maybe I should stop. The point is, you are supposed to call ahead and a company comes out and "enables" your cable TV at your site. I assume there is a fee as well. Luckily things sort of "worked out" for us where it wasn't an issue. Finally, there's no picnic table. We, as RV'ers prefer a picnic table over pretty much any portable "camp table" out there. If the permanent residents don't want them fine, but leaving them on the vacant sites would be really nice. Sooo, that's pretty much it. If we were planning on being in Mesa for something like a concert or businesss or whatever I think I'd stay here again, but as a vacation spot or whatever, I don't know. It really is a super nice place if you are into places like this, it's just not for us. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The resort has lots of amenities for those wintering in Mesa. It has a great pool and picnic area. There are premium spaces which are basically double wide. The resort needs to add better security and there were frequent water outages. The local cable is sub-par but usable. Lots of intermixed park models. They were 55+ but because of the economy they have lowered their age requirements. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park was reasonably priced for a month's stay. It's well run considering the population. Lots of planned activities here and a good location, everything is within 10 miles. Their inner roads are very confusing, but what the heck, we had a full month to ride our bikes and figure them out. We were very disappointed with Tengo internet, mainly because of the number of people using it, and our inability to get on most of the time. We camped here in a Motorhome.

A very large 55+ park in Mesa. Everyone was friendly, from the check in staff to the activities desk. A friendly mix of park model residents and RVs. Many Canadian and returning mid and north western snowbirds. Try to enter the park going eastbound on Main, it is much easier than the hard turn going westbound. Lots of activities and lots of pools (spa & swimming); very clean. If you plan to stay here longer than a few days in the high season, call ahead for your TV cable hook-up (at your expense). It took us over a week to get cable TV. The wireless internet is awful (tengonet), but there are computers available for a fee at the activities building during certain hours. We bought a Cricket no contract modem and it worked great. We spent 2 months here and would recommend it. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a very clean, well organized, huge park. Pool facilities were very nice and not overly crowded. Reception staff and the man who helps you park your vehicle were very helpful and friendly. The library had a good selection of books - take one, leave one. With over 9 miles of roadways within the park, you can get all the exercise you need. This park is very good for those who need lots of activities available during the day. We stayed here two nights. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is our 2nd winter here. There are many amenities available, but you do pay for them whether or not you use them. Wireless internet is available through Tengo but is spotty at best. We installed DSL through Qwest. We are staying in one of their premium spots (ranchitas) and have plenty of room. The standard sites are just that. There are several enclosed pet areas throughout the park. Be sure to specify pets as there are strict "NO PET" areas. The pools and hot tubs are wonderful. The main entrance has a security guard, but only until midnight and then it is left unguarded until 7 in the morning. It is not an ideal situation since it is located on a main street in Mesa. Lock up you possessions at night. The park has park model areas as well as RV areas and areas that are mixed with both types of units. They do have many scheduled activities but seem to be geared to an older crowd and not much in the way of music or dances for those of us that grew up in the 50s and 60s. We have enjoyed our 2 seasons at this park, but due to the increases in space rents every year, we will look for a different wintering spot next year. All in all, it is a nice park, but not right for us. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I thought the nightly rate was excessive for what you get, or don't get, i.e no cable and no internet. Pet areas are very limited, you can walk your dog in many areas, and if you happen to walk into a no dog area, you can be sure a resident will come out and tell you about it. Next time we are in the area, we will find another rv park We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is our third winter in this park. They are improving the infrastructure every year, upgrading facilities and buildings. Many activities are available including a "Country Store" from 11-1 every Friday with food and lots of crafts and other items available for sale. Three pools, 6 spas, workout room, library, craft rooms, computer room, all the amenities you expect at a winter destination park. This is an adult park (not 55+ restricted) mainly catering to snowbirds. Lots of park models but there are several sections for mostly RV's, one at the back along University and one close to the entrance called Casitas. The Casitas are premium sites and more expensive but they are double-wide with tables and plenty of space. There are more and more high-end RV's staying in these sites. Our rate is the long-term Casita site rate. Electricity is extra. Trash is picked up once a week. We have a DSL line installed for the months we are here, but Tengo is available for a price. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We have spent the last four months here during the 08/09 winter. Our rate is based on the multimonth renewal rate, after the minimum is paid for the first two months. This is a winter destination park, with many many sites. Close to half are for park models, but there is an area V along the back that is intended for big rig RV's. The staff has been friendly, and the activities are too numerous to list. If you want an activity, it is likely available. Pets are restricted to pet area sites, and you are not allowed to walk your pet into non pet areas. Pet relief spaces are in most of the corners of the park, and you are expected to clean up after your pet. Sites are shallow for rigs over 35 feet, with exception of what they call pull through, which are all blacktop sites with hookups, and 70 feet deep. These were mostly used by motorhomes pulling utility trailers. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Typical desert park: limited landscaping and little shade. Lots of amenities, but some were on shorter summer hours. Pull through spaces are nothing, but stripes painted on blacktop. There is a price premium for better spaces. The park is set-up mainly for semi-permanent snowbirds. The staff was reasonably friendly and helpful. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Located in Mesa, AZ this is really an urban, 55+, residential park, not a campground. Most of the 1800 sites are occupied by annual or winter residents. This park has everything: a large library, computer room (didn't explore that much so don't know if there is a jack in there for dial-up users), several meeting/activity rooms and two laundry areas (very clean and most of the machines actually work). The sites are all gravel with concrete patios and concrete driveways for your tow/towed vehicle. We were on road 'V' which is the newer section of the park. In the older section of the park the sites are much closer together. The park's interior roads are all paved with narrow sidewalks. The streets are a bit narrow, especially for bigger rigs, but they are navigable. The staff will assist in parking you and helping you out when you leave if you like. Pets, and they mean any sort of pet, are restricted to certain areas of the park. They do have a 'quiet pet' agreement which allows you to be in any site as long as you agree that your pet will never leave the camping unit and that you'll never clean a litter box outside of the camping unit. Otherwise travelers with pets will be restricted to certain areas of the park. When we arrived we asked about cable-TV and Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fi system is a pay-as-you-go system which is not uncommon. What is uncommon is that if you want cable TV you have to call the local cable company to come out and hook it up. The cable company does not charge to come out and they usually come out the next day. We arrived on a Tuesday afternoon, made the call on Wednesday and they were out Thursday morning. I think the only reason they come out to the site is to ensure that your TV is programmed properly. All the service tech did was make a new hookup cable and then he watched me program our TV. It was obvious that the circuit was activated back at their offices. The nightly rate is based on their weekly rate (pay for 7 nights, get the 8th night free). The park is located on the north side of Main Street between Lindsey and Val Vista, and the sign for the park is very difficult to see. A word of warning. You will need to approach the park entrance by traveling westbound on Main from Val Vista. You'll then make a right turn into the park. Left turns from eastbound Main street traffic into the park are not permitted. We camped here in a Motorhome.

All in all, the park was great. We had a Ranchita space which was extra large (basically two mobile home spots) which is great if you have an extra car. The Ranchita spots are suppose to come with a picnic table, but when we arrived ours was missing. We checked with the office and one was found within minutes. The only complaint is that even though it states WiFi friendly, it isn't. We signed up for the service ($30 for 2+ weeks), but could rarely get on since we were so far from the office. We had to use the internet before the office opened since they took all the bandwidth and then the service was non-existent. Even the full-time residents said that the WiFi was no good if too far from the office. There is no shade available, so keep that in mind when you make your space reservation. Our patio was in the afternoon sun, which was fine in February, but would have been useless in the summer heat. Staff was friendly, laundry facilities great, pools, hot tubs and showers are excellent. Lots of activities since it's also a year-round mobile home park with permanent residents. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed 5 1/2 weeks in one of the new Ranchita sites. 56 X 50. The rate was $675 for a month and they prorate if you extend. Fantastic pool area, lots of activities. We have reserved for next year already. Front desk staff a little confused at times. Wonderful stay We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice park with one caveat: the entrance is VERY narrow for big rigs, use caution when entering. There are 3 lanes of traffic each way on Main Street entrance. Park appears to be pro-active in remodeling and attracting larger rigs and more active RV'ers. Huge pools and spas covered BBQ area in center with 3 new gas grills, huge capacity. Walking distance to grocery and K-mart. Recently designed and opened "Ranchita" sites (50 x 56) very nice 1/2 price for two weeks between May & October 15. Older sites very narrow between park models, palm trees and light fixtures. V-section sites have fewest park models are newer and larger but next to noisy street (University Ave). C-D sections are wide but max length 36 ft. They are training employees to assist you in parking and let you know if you choose to park with your traveling companion's assistance you are liable for the damage. Our escort did a great job but lengthen the process as a training session for new employee. A Diesel Pusher tried on its own next to us and ran over the fence$$$. Park has 1800 sites, could use walking paths from outlying sites to pool/activity areas to encourage walking and cut down on traffic within the park during high season. May is a great time to visit as it is the first month of their off season. Park is practically empty and had the pool all to ourselves but daytime temps in the 100's and overnight lows in the 70's. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Great park in terms of amenities and the location is good. The only problem is the sites they give to the short term campers can be very tight to get into and out of depending on whether or not there is a park model across from you, as there was in our case. Also if you have a large slide it may encroach on the site next to you. They do have some very large pull through sites available for a higher price, but they are literally a parking lot with hook-ups. Not a bad place but I think we will look elsewhere next time we pass through. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Very clean well kept facilities. 55+ park with all the hobby facilities and entertainment opportunities. We stayed the winter and paid the seasonal rate. Owner is investing in improvements and is putting in nice large landscaped RV sites. Two main buildings with 3 swimming pools, 3 hot tubs and laundries. Several satellite buildings with laundries and other recreational and hobby facilities. 3 party areas with gas grills available to campers. We camped here in a Motorhome.

As stated in other reviews, this is an older RV park with about 1,000 park models. RV sites are squeezed between park models into very tight spaces. RVs are parked on gravel with paved pads adjacent for cars. Park model next to us is less than 2 feet from my slideout. Some hook-ups are ancient and scary looking. Our water pressure is weak, there's no cable but you can call to have it connected, and the 50 amp breaker needed a lot of prodding to stay on. There is an excellent schedule of activities here and many active winter residents to provide fellowship. Suspect we might have been given a better site had we booked for the winter. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We came here in our 40' motorhome for a 2 week stay. The Staff was exceptionally courteous and helpful, especially the Security Chief who escorted us to our site and helped us get situated. We have been here twice before and the convenience of their location and the cleanliness of the park were especially influential in our continuing to return. We would recommend this park to anyone coming to Mesa. One of our neighbors had come here from Alaska and was similarly pleased with the park. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Very well maintained older park (formally called Trailer Village). Many older park models which they are fazing out each year. Wide level paved spaces. Excellent facilities with heated pools & hottubs. Many planned activities in the winter. Front desk staff mistake-prone but pleasant. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

All paved streets throughout resort. We only stayed a couple of nights on Passport America and it was well worth that price. Very nicely landscaped and maintained. Seemed to be mostly permanent residents or semi-permanent but all were friendly and accommodating. This is a good deal under Passport America ($17), too bad your stay can only be a week. Most of the RVs are in a designated area by Lindsey Rd., , and big rigs can be parked among the resident park models and mobile homes closer to Main st. There is only one shower and toilet per gender in the RV area, and a tiny laundry room. However, there is a nice pool, spa, shower, & fitness room not too far away. Suggested dog walk is outside the gate along Lindsey;short walk to the PO and Fry's. We have stayed here 3x, never had a level site, and all have been tight. Quite a few of the Rvers stay all season, with extra vehicles and stuff. Not the friendliest park populace but office staff very friendly, helpful. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is one of many mobile home parks in the middle of Mesa. They have an RV area, but there are also several empty spots between the mobile homes where they park motorhomes or fifth wheelers. So the exact number of sites for RVs maybe higher than 115. We had a very friendly reception and after wards we were led to our site. Our site was wide enough to feel comfortable. Every site is gravel, but has a concrete patio. All sites I have seen are leveled. The paved roads are wide, so it was easy to back in with our 40 ft motorhome. This is a very clean park. Maybe it is caused from the eight (!) pages of rules we have gotten. It was very quiet for a campground in the middle of a town (if you don’t park next to S. Lindsey Road). Palm Gardens is a gated community. The park has two clubhouses. We didn’t have time to join the many activities. Wi-Fi was available (from Tengo Internet), but it was not free. They offer a very good price with Passport America year round with a 7 day maximum stay. One guest must be 55+. I would have given more points if Wi-Fi was free, cable TV was available and the sites were paved. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a US Forest Service/BLM property located on the Bush Highway south of the junction of Usery Mountain road. It is not much more than a really big parking lot but has USFS camp hosts and locked gates at night. Situated at the confluence of the Salt and Verde Rivers, there are nice views and excellent fly fishing. RVers are in expensive coaches to Class C's to tents along the river. The hosts worked hard and were ever present in doing their jobs. I guessed at the number of sites because RVers can park any way they want, much like most BLM properties. The fee of $6 is reduced to $3 for seniors with a U.S. seniors pass. Last point: a resident bald eagle passed overhead at least once a day during our 3 days here. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Wifi is free in the club house; we were here on a pay for 1 wk get 1 wk free; mostly a park model community but still lots of RV spaces; friendly people; lots of activities, all paved streets, 55 channel cable TV but no picnic table and no fenced dog run but all in all a very very nice park. I couldn't give it less than a 10 even without these things. There is a dog walk area but it's on a back street outside the park. A 55+ park. Close to all kinds of shopping and restaurants. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We thought we were in paradise! The rate reflects Passport America discount (taxes added to that, too). The P.A. discount is for just one week but we wanted to put down roots and stay here! The entire park is immaculate and safe. It is a gated RV resort with someone at the entrance to make sure only those who belong in the park come in. There is a gravel area to park the RV plus a HUGE cement pad for vehicles and what not. It is also beautifully landscaped. Even though there is just one uni-sex bathroom with shower, we rarely had to stand in line to use it. There are so many activities available one would never get bored! We played cards with some of the residents, pool tables were available, a huge library, a huge computer room in which we could access the internet, a nice heated pool with the biggest hot tub I have ever seen, an exercise room with equipment, horseshoes, craft room, plus planned activities almost every night. There are also a few other amenities that have escaped my mind. The park is in the middle of Mesa so grocery stores and other shopping is easily available. The park is quiet even in the middle of the city. The people are really friendly and helpful, both the residents and the staff. Many people ride bikes throughout the park and you can't pass anyone on the street without them waving or saying hi. We loved this park. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Excellent 55+ park. We have stayed in several of the geezer parks in Mesa, and this is our first choice, after Valle del Oro. The sites are relatively easy to get in to for a big rig. 50 amp power did sag down to around 109 VAC under heavy load, but never got lower. We used the Passport America rate, which after taxes was $165 for a week, including electricity. They have a very nice laundromat, and a large, alphabetized book exchange. For those who want activities, they have plenty during the winter, but not much after April 1. Very nice swimming pool, excellent exercise room, extremely pleasant and helpful staff. I was able to get a moderately strong WiFi signal from the perimeter of the park (the pet area), but never successfully connected to the Internet using it. Our Verizon data card had a very strong signal, so I didn't care. The park is mostly park models, and they are very well maintained, as are the grounds. There is always a maintenance worker driving around picking up anything that falls on the ground. They will let you use Passport America one week/month. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We just got a monthly electric bill for Sun Life, 3 months after leaving. They now charge $17 just in fees. Total Cal-Am ripoff. See another reviewers' comments about Mesa Regal. While this is a mostly nice park (except for the crusty manager), the add-on charges in addition to the constant rate increases have steered us away for the future. We camped here in a Motorhome.

It is still one of the better snowbird parks in Mesa, but they had some water maintenance problems this year, so the shower rooms off the pool had to be closed. Rates have gone up, now $42 daily, but Good Sam and Passport America rates are available. We stayed on a monthly rate which was about $20 night. There are lots of activities and good staff, though the Manger can be tough. People who live here seem to be pretty happy and active, often at age 70-85. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is yet another Mesa snowbird park, at least 90% park models and trailer homes, so I wish they wouldn't call themselves RV resorts. But it really is a nice place, with excellent facilities. The main building looks new, and has a good little library,cafe,card room, billiards,mailroom, ballroom , a great fitness room, plus an excellent computer room with a wifi hotspot. Front office was very nice, and the guy who parked us was wonderful. Sites are all back-ins but have a very wide patio space. The dog loved her daily walks in the canal(dry)and meeting many other dogs. Only negatives:road noise along back wall area, cable hookups only for long-term stays, very long walk to showers and laundry, and most of the residents are elderly. But still a decent number of active types in the 60+ age bracket. We used our PA for a week, so daily rate was $19 with a big state tax added. Arizona gets you with their taxes. We have been travelling across north America for the last 9 months and this site is, without doubt, the finest we have stayed at. We originally intended to stay for 1 week and ended up staying for 6 weeks. The management was friendly and welcoming, and that permeated throughtout the staff and residents. Equipment was first class and well maintained, and we cannot recommend it highly enough. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Previous post is a good review. Sites are a little close, but we got in OK. This (as are all the "resort" type parks) is mostly a "snow bird" full time park. They have space for RVs, and is in order to gain a tax break from the State. We were in the first "street" inside the park, so some road noise. However, all the "pet" sites are around the perimeter, so not to much choice available. Be sure you confirm with them if you have a pet or you'll have to move (as happened to us last year at a different park). We thought is was a little far away form most of the places you would want to visit, but it's a nice park. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is am over 55 RV and Mobile Home Park. There were many RV's as well as mobile homes. The park is well situated and close to all conveniences. We stayed using a Passport America rate so the rate was 50% of their normal rate. Sites are all back in but we were able to back in easily due to the assistance of park personnel who showed us to the site. People were very friendly and we felt quite at home. Facilities were not as large as other parks in the area but this park is much smaller so sharing these with others is not a problem. WiFi was good on our site but is said to be poor on others. Some people used the club house for their internet. Washrooms were spotless and there were lots of showers available. They allow children for short visits. There is a cafe on site - breakfast and lunch in season. Our favorite park in the area out of four tried. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This was our 3rd stay, and we will be back for more. The owners still come out and greet everyone that pulls in. They help them not only get parked, but also to get hooked up and settled, too. The owners live right there and make themselves available to help everyone. We have a big RV, and although none of the parks in the area are spacious, there is plenty of room for our large RV with 3 slides, our Gran Cherokee, and a picnic table. This is one of the best values in an area, which has hundreds of large resort parks whose prices are very much higher. The snowbirds are all nice, and the weather is great in the winter. The owners of this park are very friendly but that is all the good to say for the park. Sites are all back-ins with no cable TV, no amenities of any kind. Sites are very small with all utilities are in the back. The sewer hookup is under the back of the coach making it very difficult to get at. Would go back if I couldn't find any place else, but that probably would go for all back-in parks We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed at the Tiffany for two months and absolutely loved being there. It's a small, older RV park and the spaces are close together. The closeness was never an issue though because we had great neighbors and the park is clean and well maintained. It was sad to leave because we felt like we were leaving family behind. The owners are terrific and there is a nice cozy and friendly atmosphere in the park. The park is located close to shopping, great dog parks, sightseeing, etc. The owners live on the premises and can be seen routinely doing maintenance on the grounds. In addition to all the other good things about The Tiffany, it also feels like a safe place to stay. Such good memories we have! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This was our 3rd stay in this small park. Just like they do for everyone, the owners came out and met us with a smile as soon as we pulled in the driveway. Their spaces are all paved with concrete patios and parking area for your car. We have a large 5th wheel with 5 slides, and they always find a spot for us that we feel comfortable in. The owners helped us back in and even helped us get all set up before we went with them to register and pay. They make everyone feel very welcome. There is a nice grass area for our furry child, where people often meet and socialize. The laundry room is through the rec-room and is as nice and clean as any I have been in with 3 new washers and dryers. This is great place to park your rig and enjoy the warm weather. This is a small park surrounded by huge resort type parks. But unlike many other small parks in the area, it is really an RV Park not a Trailer Park. All the guests are nice Snow Birds, and the very gracious owners live right there on the property. Every time we have pulled in, one or both of them come out and say high, and help us get settled. We have stayed at many of the huge resorts in the area, and never use all extras we payed for. There was plenty of room for our 40' Alpha, Grand Cherokee, and a picnic table on our patio. This was our second winter there, and we will be back when ever we are in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We loved our stay. The owners came out to greet us when we pulled into the park. Something other guests told us they always do. The spots were nice and clean, and fit our 40' Winnebago with 4 slides just fine. We have stayed at several of the large resort type parks in the area for much more money, and this was a great find for us. We will be back whenever we are in the area. This is an all asphalt and concrete park. Centrally located and cheap, it is a 'budget, no frills' park. One weird note. They charge you extra if you use the washrooms and showers. They prefer you use your own facilities. Price $1 day, 5$ week or 10$ month for the key. Laundry area / lounge area is adequate. Very narrow sites, and very difficult backing in due to narrow spaces. There is barely room for one unit with slides to park next to another unit with slides. Owners are very helpful and present 24/7 on site. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Our nightly rate is based on $526.46 for the month. Electricity was extra; for the 28 days, came to $37.66. This Resort was purchased by Cal-Am December 2009. Fortunately, they had not had time yet to alter rates, etc. (I hope this doesn't become what others call the "Cal-Am Rip-off" where, on top of electricity, they begin to charge for water, sewer, garbage, name tags, etc.). Time will tell, I guess. They use the card system for the laundry. You pay $2.00 for the card and wash/dry are $1.30 so you never get rid of the balance! The women's shower has stalls but the mens shower is one big giant shower: not my husband's cup of tea! The Wi-Fi was horrible. Folks complain about Tengo but this place uses "WorldWeb" and it made Tengo look wonderful. It kept cutting us off and taking literally hours sometimes, to connect again. There are MANY older park models here with a few RV sites intermingled. The folks were friendly enough but my husband said he felt like we were in an old folks home. The pool rules sign at the pool area stated: if you are incontinent, you must wear tight rubber pants. Yikes!!! That was enough to keep us out of the pool and hot tub. On the up-side, there are activities too numerous to mention so if you are bored, it's your own fault. Also, shopping is close by and there is a nice park close by as well. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. We cannot say the same for the folks in the activity center. They seemed indifferent and unhelpful. Due to the horrific Wi-Fi and the extreme elderly population, we will not return. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Although we had to cut our time here short, we were very pleased with this park. It was primarily the small mobile home type units with scattered sites available for RVs. We were warmly welcomed by the folks at the front desk as well as by our neighbors, also from BC! The park was very neat and clean and everything was as promised. We would definitely plan to return should we visit the area again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We loved our time there, so much to do and people are so friendly. We could not believe how many amenities were available, from tennis, shuffleboard, hiking, stain glass, silversmithing, lapidary, quilting, sewing, horseshoes, billiards, etc. All activities were offered at extremely reasonable prices. Can't remember the actual daily rate since we paid the PA 1/2 price deal plus excessive AZ tax = $156 for a week. Liked this place so much more than the 2 nearby Cal-Am parks. The park model residents on our street were very friendly, and people in general here were nice. The old folks were active, biking around, using the pools,etc. Huge older park, with RVs spread around. Great dog walk along the canal. A "green team" picks up recycling weekly. Only real negative was the considerable distance to the clubhouse/laundry/pools/showers/Office- all in one central area. Pet area was located in a far corner of the park. This is an over-55 RV and Mobile Home Park and is a sister park to Good Life RV Resort. We got the off-season rate using a Passport America membership. Rates are double in the peak season and discount is limited to 7 days. This is not a family park but there were lots of younger visitors while we were there. There were many RV's including 5th wheels and motor homes using the park on a short term basis. Sites were spacious but are designed to hold a mobile home so leaving your tow vehicle hooked up for an over night stay is an unlikely possibility. Staff were excellent and we were lead to the site and assisted in backing our trailer into the site. The facilities are exceptional, especially the pools and spas which we used extensively. The two pools are kept at different temperatures as are the two spas although the one spa was not working due to electrical issues. There was one very large covered area to keep you in the shade as required but it was outside the pool enclosure. Restrooms were very clean and spacious. Telephone and cable are available for long term stays only and the Internet is user pay. This is a good park as long as you realize it is mainly a mobile home park. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

The only things we missed here was the Wi-Fi (may be at the nature center) and a more elaborate recycling. Everything else was just perfect. The friendly and helpful staff, the beautiful site tucked away in the desert vegetation, lots of privacy, nice pick nick bench, BBQ, fire pit, quiet, gorgeous views, sunsets and the wildlife (coyotes and rabbits) occasionally on the site. Nice hiking trails. Perfect location for any kind of biking. We will for sure come again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a beautiful regional park. Lots of lush desert vegetation. We happened to camp here on a Friday/Saturday and found the trails to be very busy on Saturday. The perimeter sites are the best, offering the most privacy. We did not like hearing the shooting range that is just down the street all day long on Saturday; that was the biggest negative about this park. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We camped in June and of course it was very hot and there we were almost the only motorhome there. The best and longest site loops were closed, with only one loop open. The water in the shower we tried was way too hot and there was no adjustment for that. Power was great. The hike up to wind cave early in the morning was very enjoyable. The pull-through sites are more like a pull off the road site. Sites are large with lots of room between sites. You get a nice table and lots of room. Sites are gravel and the road are paved. Our Verizon card worked well. The view of the city at night was spectacular. Town is really closer than we had imagined and easy to get to stores and restaurants in Mesa. We would camp there again. Picturesque, quiet and well maintained park. Lots of room between sites, filled with cacti. Large sites, clean restrooms and showers. Several hiking trails within the Park, and dog friendly. We'd definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Our rate of $33 included the $8 reservation fee for booking online. This is a popular campground so I highly recommend making reservations. We have camped here before and love the location and the city views as well as the gorgeous mountain and desert views. We were in spot 63 which was nice but my folks were in spot 62 and I thought it was was too close to spot 8 (very little privacy). I think the best spots are along the south end of the property, as they have the best views and the most privacy. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We love this park. Very popular. It's important to make reservations well ahead of time, although there is overflow (dry) camping near the entrance station. Beautiful desert surroundings with easy access to the Phoenix metro area. Only complaint is that the unheated bathrooms can be chilly during the winter. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

I rate this park a 10 despite the lack of full hookups. The beauty and serenity of this place is unparalleled. Had planned to stay just 1 week, but upon arrival we quickly decided to extend it to two. We were lucky to get the extension. Site 58 is the best in the place! But all sites are wonderful, well spaced and very private. The desert scenery is absolutely gorgeous, and we lived in AZ for 10 years! For those of you who insist on packing yourselves in like sardines at all the so-called RV resorts in Mesa and Apache Junction, you do not know what you are missing. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is an absolute gem! The fact that there is no sewer is a good thing; it encourages folks to move on rather than stay beyond the two week limit. The scenery here is fabulous and there are awesome hikes around the park. Do the Wind Cave and Pass Mountain Loop; they are very nice. Sites are huge and very nice firepits, etc., but beware, some sites are not level, and you will need to block up your wheels in some cases. Take some good, solid lumber with you when you go here! We camped here in a Motorhome.

I found this campground from reviews here, and I was not disappointed. I have camped in many deserts in AZ and CA, and this had to be the prettiest and lushest desert I have ever seen. You are also 10 minutes from shops and amenities (and a good library in Mesa) The sites are spacious and well spaced. Bathrooms are good. It was very quiet - except for the coyotes. If you are reasonably fit, try hiking to Wind Caves. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

This is our 4th visit over the years and it remains one of our all time favorites. If it only had sewer, this would be a 10+. The layout, spaciousness, desert scenery, night view of the city, friendly helpful staff and multitude of birds make this park always someplace we anticipate returning to. Beautiful scenery! Sonora Desert at its finest. Large campsites placed far apart. Miles of hiking trails (watch out for cactus!). Very clean. Large archery and gun range near-by. Very quiet but close enough to Mesa for convenience to stores, if REALLY necessary. Second time there while traveling through. Last time we took an extra day or two so we could go hike to Wind Cave. Rangers were available for questions or help on hiking trail. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Usery Mountain is absolutely gorgeous. The sites are huge. Picnic tables and barbecues are at each site. You feel like you're away from everything but yet the town of Apache Junction is about 5 minutes away. It's a super park, hosts are nice and I can't think of anything negative other than there is no dump at your site. However, there is one on the property. We will definitely be back. We camped here in a Motorhome.

A beautiful spacious park with great camping facilities. The camping spots have lots of room around them so you aren't stacked in like so much cord wood. Friendly camp hosts. No sewer hookup but they do have a dump station. If spots aren't available you dry camp in overflow and await your turn. Max stay in the park is 14 days so spots turn over every day. It is up on a hill with a view of the lights of Phoenix. TV reception is excellent. We will definitely come back here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We really like this park. It is extremely busy in Feb and March but it is worth the hassle to get into. Current system has an overflow lot that you can stay in until a spot opens up for you but I understand that an on-line reservation system is about to be in place. Great hiking, clean facilities, great hosts, sites are well spaced with nice views, close to stores of all types. Electric and water at each site and a good dump station. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

In six months on the road, one of out favorite places. Wide open spaces, your own personal saguaro cactus. Great hiking and biking. Active and competent camp hosts, clean and well built restrooms and showers. For a regional park, quite amazing. Only real drawback is the lack of a sewer hookup. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is a beautiful park in the foothills above Mesa. The sites are spacious and widely separated. The natural vegetation is abundant and provides good privacy. Some sites have views of the city that are exceptional at night. Sites are level, well maintained and clean. Although it looks and feels remote it is only a few miles to urban shopping area. We have absolutely no complaints and are looking forward to camping here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This was our first time in this park and we enjoyed it very much. You are only a few minutes from Mesa, but for the most part you feel removed from the city. There was occasional traffic sounds from the road and you are in the flight path to the airport. I kind of didn't like seeing planes when I wanted to look at the night sky, but the stars are beautiful here. We have a big rig and there are plenty of sites large enough. Didn't see the campground hosts much and they don't seem to be completely on top of their game, cigarette butts in the campsite, and some debris in the fire ring. Lots of coyote sounds and quite a lot of birds including owls at night, so that was nice. The park was quite empty, so we had lots of privacy. The park is about 25 miles from the Mayo Clinic, an easy drive from here. One thing to be careful of, we saw something moving behind our campsite this afternoon and it was a 3' long rattlesnake! Yikes! Yes I know, it's Arizona, it's hot, and we are in the desert. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

One of our favorite parks. We look to visit here any time we are in the area. Natural feeling only a few miles from urban convenience. Large private sites and wide roads. Excellent area for birding. Helpful and knowledgeable birding docent. Rating would be 10 if there was sewer hookups. We will definitely return. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a very nice Phoenix area regional park. It is large and scenic with many hiking trails. They prefer to assign sites rather than letting you choose one. With our 40' motorhome, not all sites are suitable and many are not level. We came on off-season, the end of April, so we were allowed to choose our own. The sites have a lot of space around them with lush desert vegetation. There is a dump station. We would stay again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We enjoyed this campground a lot. Had nice wide spots and was easy to pull into. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring. Nights were beautiful and we loved all the stars. Close to grocery stores and shopping but yet far enough out, to feel alone in the wilderness. Camp fires were permitted which was great. Lots of rain so foliage was plentiful which was good and bad, the dog was covered in burrs. You pull in through the gate, park, walk back to register and they assign a spot, which is okay. I guess if you know of a spot and it is open you can request it and get it. Nice place and we will return. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This Maricopa County park is very similar to McDowell Mountain Regional Park. Both are county parks about 35 miles from each other. Usery is closer to the Phoenix metro area. At the main gate, we had to pull off to the side, fill out a registration form, and walk back. The attendant collected our fee, assigned a site, and we drove to the site. It was quiet with an occasional distant noise from the road that did not bother us. At night, we could see the lights of Apache Junction and Mesa. This park has ample space between sites, separated by native Sonoran Desert vegetation. We stayed at back-in site #23, which was level. They also have pull-through sites. All sites have a picnic table, fire ring, and pedestal grill. The restroom/shower buildings were clean and very modern. Each shower (two for men; two for women) had their own private entrance from the outside. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Most sites are well spaced. The hiking and mountain biking in the park are both very good. Restrooms are newer and very clean. Private showers where you can actually adjust the temperature. We hiked the Pass Mountain Loop, Windcave Trail, and Merkle Nature Trail: all great. I did an 11-mile bike ride on fun trails. We had fires every night. I highly recommend this park for a family. Well worth the $25 per night. No reservations and it's very popular in prime season, so plan on getting stuck in the overflow camping for one night during high season. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Located near Mesa and Apache Junction, this is a good park. While not as well run as its sister park, Cave Creek, it never the less is more than adequate. The hosts are very rigid in terms of site selection and seemingly have little interest in helping RVers get into a preferred site. The manager must wield a heavy hand since we heard that "manager won't allow" it many times including when we asked hosts for recommendations on where to go for laundromats and propane and they couldn't tell us. About one-third of the sites need lots of leveling. The sites on the outside perimeter of the park have the best views and privacy. Virtually all types of shopping is available within a few miles. This is a favorite of snow birds based on the number of license plates from Canada, Minnesota and Michigan. One other note. Sandy, the resident birder, is very helpful and knowledgeable for those interested in the bird-life of this region. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This has been one of our favorite parks since we began staying here back in 2001. Since then they have added new 50 amp hookups and improved the dump so you can dump coming in as well as going out. There is also a new nature center by the entrance to the park. The thing we don't like is the quantum leap the rates took to $25 the first of the year. They charged us $17 to park in the overflow area in the group camping area. We only had to spend one night there. Usually the overflow is located at the park entrance and charge only $10 there. They must have been directed to maximize revenue anyway they could. We come here at least once a year to visit family down below and we love it. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park has an absolutely gorgeous desert setting, and each campsite is very private. The bathhouse is Spartan but clean. In general, this place is a great value, although there is only one dump station in the park and it was broken when we were there. We really enjoyed the park programs, small gift shop, and shaded playgrounds. The pull-through slots are easy—you just pull to the side of the road. The sites are not real level but big with a concrete a picnic table and lovely path to the bathhouse. We really wish we could have stayed here longer. The rates increased to $25/day just as we were leaving. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

I really liked this park and campground BUT they have recently raised their rates to $25 a day. That is getting pricey with no sewer or cable and is high compared to the local private RV camps. But is has spacious sites, great views, very quiet and private and you are not jammed in against your neighbor. A lot of the pull through sites have the power and water on the wrong side (unless you want your door facing the road!) and the hookups are at the end of the sites so it can be difficult to get fully in the site. The sites are all big. Great hiking and biking in the park with lots of trails We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

It seems everyone has already said it. A great place to stay. Went to the Apple computer stores in Phoenix, then back to the desert for our campsite. Life is good. Dump station near entrance. We camped here in a Motorhome.

What a great campground: $20 a night for water, electricity and awesome views. Has very clean restrooms. The campground is well worth the extra drive. This is a campground and not a cramped RV park. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Beautiful views of the mountains and valley, friendly staff, and low price contributed to a great stay. The park allows tents, and may be a little noisy on weekends. But there's good security, and I think excessive noise could be controlled. Only negative: I got chigger (insect) bites! That was irony, while true, I can't blame the park. Another beautiful setting, surrounded by desert life but within minutes of Phoenix. A great trail system surrounds the park. The volunteer hosts were gracious and helpful. We flew into Phoenix picked up a rental RV and went out of way to stay again a week later upon our return. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is camping in a desert setting. Plenty of hiking and biking trails. The campsites are well maintained, bathrooms and showers were cleaned and serviced daily. The park is occasionally patrolled by the Maricopa County Sheriffs Office. If you are looking for a place to hike, ride a mountain bike, or just looking for some solitude then this is the park for you. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The park was clean with good space between campsites. The park is very picturesque. The restrooms and showers were not heated, so it was cold in February but the water was hot. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

One more good campground in the Maricopa County system. The sites are very spacious but many need a little work to level the rigs even with hydraulic jacks. The check in kiosk has info on where to go for laundry and food shopping but you have to ask. They don't hand out any info sheets. They didn't even know where to go to find free wifi. Re wifi, Mesa libraries don't let you get your email when using their system so there is no wifi option there. Good hiking trails as well as an archery and rifle range close by. Beautiful sunset views. I would staye there again but only if I couldn't get into Cave Creek. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We have stayed here for two weeks each year since 2001 since we have so many family and friends in the area. We have watched things improve here over the years. The new 50 amp service now is super. We have never had a bad spot in the park. Now, they are building a new visitor center which should be finished next time we come through the area. It is close to Mesa with everything you will ever need. The thing they could improve in all of the Regional Parks in the county is recycling; the only thing they take is aluminum cans. This overall is one of the best parks we stay in each year. It is so popular, you may have have to stay in the overflow area a while before you can get a spot in the campground. The hosts are real helpful and friendly. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We're actually still in this campground as I write this--we keep paying for "just a few more days" but we're about to hit the 14-day limit (if they have room and you move sites, word is they will overlook the limit). The park has many ranger-led activities--my son has been on more hikes the past couple weeks than ever before. And the "Brown Bag" lectures at lunchtime are fun and very educational. We've seen many coyotes right in the park--the last one a couple days ago about 25 feet from the trailer. And the views, especially at night, are very cool. Lots of cactus, lots of wildlife, lots of events to participate in. It's now become one of our very favorite campgrounds. Like someone else has mentioned, only the lack of sewer hookup kept this from getting a 10. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is a very nice short stay Public RV Park. The sites have electric and water and a dump station is located as you enter/leave the campground. The views of the city at night are great. No night time security is provided, but it didn't seem to be a problem as there are host campers at the entrance to the campground. This is a 14 day maximum stay park. I would stay here again. Absolutely beautiful desert location, enormous gravel sites with cement tables and fire rings. Great spring vegetation and fabulous mountain views. The best campground we've been in in 2 years of full timing. Only lack of sewer kept this from a 10. Our second time here in 4 months. We can't keep the bird feeders full. The only thing keeping this campground from being a 10 is the lack of sewer hookups. This is a Maricopa County Park and limited to a 14 day stay. The campground has some ranger led activities and great hiking trails. If you prefer the great outdoors you will love this campground. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We planned on staying here 2 nights and ended up staying 5. We had just begun a month-long caravan with friends in another rig and this made for an excellent start. A highlight was our evening campfire at our site beneath a giant Saguaro cactus with my cowboy music playing into the night. Sites are very large set within beautiful Sonoran desert flora. Bird life was amazing, and coyotes howled nightly. A true wild west experience just outside of Phoenix. A fabulous, easy mountain bike ride through the desert is close by in the park, and the hike to Wind Cave is one of the most popular in the Phoenix area. Staff was friendly, and the showers were fine, which was appreciated since with no sewer hookup we had to conserve water to avoid a mid-stay dump (there is a dump station here). A brand new freeway (Loop 202)into Mesa and Phoenix is only a few minutes away. Next time we have to stay in the Phoenix area we will bipass those yucky RV parks in town and stay here, sewer hookup or not. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Very nice CG in a desert setting. Beautiful views at night, great hiking trails! Spaces are spread out and each has electric/ water along with concrete table, bbq, fire ring. Absolutely beautiful desert location, enormous gravel site with table and fire ring. Great vegetation and mountain views. The best campground we've been in in 20 months of fulltiming and over 120 campgrounds! Only lack of sewer kept this from a 10. Saw more birds than we have ever seen at our feeders. Showers very nice. Really far from everythything though. Did a lot of driving in 9 days. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This place is amazing! Wonderful sunsets and sunrise is beautiful! Great desert camping far from city lights so star gazing is perfect! For $20.00 a night with elec/water it's a deal. My own WiFi worked great! We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

Even though this park is close to Phoenix, it is up in the hills to the northeast and feels very isolated. The view of the city lights at night is spectacular. The sites are large and well maintained with lots of space between sites. You are never very close to anyone. It is a beautiful, desert environment, great in the winter but probably unbearable during the summer heat. We will camp here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is our favorite Arizona campground. It's in a beautiful desert setting. All sites are large and private with wonderful views and abundant wildlife (birds and coyote). It's a very clean and secure park. The only drawback is the nearby shooting range which can be heard from the campground. There are numerous scenic and well maintained hiking trails nearby. This park is close to all services in Mesa as well as other county, state, and federal recreational sites. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is our favorite campground in the US. Very large gravel sites in the desert, surrounded by cactus of all sizes, with a cement picnic table, water, and 50 amp power. The hosts even rake the gravel clean between visitors. There are back-in and pull-through sites that will accommodate any size rig. The dump station is well maintained and easy to access. If the campground is full, you can dry camp in the parking lot for $10/day. On one of our many visits I saw it take two days for someone to get in, but usually there are open sites. The sunsets, sunrises, and howling coyotes are wonderful. There are many well marked hiking trails in the park. I saw a review that said it's a tough drive, but that must be a route we never take. Off Highway 60, drive about five miles up Ellsworth Rd., and you're there. No grades, no sharp turns. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a county campground and park that overlooks the city of Mesa and Phoenix Valley from the East Side of Mesa at the start of the Superstition Mountains. Sites are spaced very nicely from each other. You are in a desert setting but in 5 minutes you can be at a supermarket or fast food joint. Don't get me wrong, this is not a senior or snowbird park, but a very nice local campground where the city ends and the desert starts. You can only stay here for 14 days at a time. There are no seasonal guests. I live in Mesa, but took my Trailmanor here for it's maiden voyage. However, I will probably go back because to live some peace and quite. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This area is a long, long haul up a mountain and around some big bends. Upon arriving, one is impressed by the beautiful dessert. After driving the loops, one is overwhelmed by the remote, desolate, and isolated nature camping can be. This is not a place for social beings. This is for back-woods, back-to-nature, earth loving self-sustaining types. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is our favorite park. It is a county park, and its only shortcoming is the lack of sewer hookups. There is a dump station available at the park. Sites are huge, with most sites widely separated from neighbors. The park features stunning Sonoran desert flora, hiking, biking and horse trails, great views of the Valley of the Sun and wonderful winter weather. There is a two week limit, but you can stay longer at management's discretion. You must change sites if you do. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a fantastic park and the people are very friendly. This is a Cal-Am Resort. This resort has impressed us so much that we are now looking for other Cal-Am Resorts to stay at. We used our Passport America 50% discount for our stay. There are so many things to do here that you can't say you’re bored with nothing to do. If you’re in need of some separation then hubby can do his thing and the wife can do her thing. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This reflects the 3 1/2 month pre-season rate of $700. We really enjoyed this park: it was clean, well-managed and maintained, had every activity you could imagine (even pre-season), had entertainment about 3 times in the main patio, had special areas for those with pets, had weekly meetings with donuts and coffee, had 3 pools, new tennis courts, 3 shuffleboard areas, pickleball courts, miniature golf, dances, holiday dinners and many other activities. We will definitely return next year. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We paid 1/2 of the daily rate while there for 2 weeks this spring. The snow birds had gone home and the park was virtually devoid of life. The empty park models and facilities really showed their age without all the activities going on. We have stayed here during the winter season and you just don't notice those things when there is a lot going on. The park is doing some upgrades on the facilities and working to make it a better park. In reality, it is old and the old homes are dragging it down in my opinion. In the future, we will be looking at the newer parks in the area. The people are very friendly here. Dogs are welcome as long as they stay in the pet section. The central part of the park is a no pet zone, which limits the area you can walk in. The "dog parks" are small fenced areas which are not nearly big enough for all the dogs that utilize the facilities. The dog parks were quite smelly the winter we stayed. I never saw them being sanitized, but maybe they are. It is an OK park and one of the cheaper Cal-Am parks in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Huge park that was nice and quiet in mid-April when many snowbirds had left and you can use the PA rate for a week. Otherwise, $50-$75 is way too much,especially with the activities closed down. There is a pull-through row just for RVs in the back, with basic cable and strange hookup locations. Also some large premium sites for $75. Pretty hot here in April; palm trees don't give much shade. Several nice pools spaced around, though they need cleaning. New pickel ball courts and bocce ball area. Convenient location to mid-Mesa. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is another of Mesa's Mega parks. It caters mostly to the Snowbirds but we stayed there after most of the Snowbirds had left. The staff was very friendly and we were led to our site by one of the security people. The site was in with the park models but it was large level and had cable. The Wi-Fi was excellent and the the park was very clean. Being that it is a Snowbird park it has lots of amenities, Pool, Showers, Laundry, etc, They were all clean and well kept. We would definitely stay there again. The nightly rate is their summer rate which is the same as the Camp Club USA rate. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Terrific park. Excellent amenities and more groups, clubs and activities than you can imagine. Nice sites with a cement patio and parking space. The rate reflects a 3 month rate. We camped here in a Motorhome.

In defense of the park, the electric problem the previous poster commented on was originally created by the local power company losing 2 transfer stations during the extreme cold weather they had in the valley at the time. Some of the park was without power for a couple days but the management provided 3 meals a day for those without electricity. They did everything they could and the power was restored after 3 days of part of the park having no power. The management should be thanked for their efforts in such a stressful time. The nice thing was the residents checked on each other and made sure the older folks were taken care of. We have come back to this park for 8 years and will continue to come back until we are physically unable. We camped here in a Motorhome.

After paying $500 for 12 days at check in, I was told power would be off for 2 hours for maintenance. I set up and the neighbor told me they had been without power since 8am the day before. No power over night. The next morning, I was told repairs would not be made til summer but that with conservation we would get 4-5 hours on and 4-5 hours without power. We had power on day 2 for 2 hours over lunch. That night (no power again) I asked about the 4-5 hours on. They explained that was for the park models. RVs were power hogs and could not be turned on. After 48 hours of virtually no power we left. Policy states no refunds but they told us our credit card will only be billed for 2 days, time will tell. Our neighbors had paid for a month, were told they could leave but no refund. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a huge park filled with park models. There are 27 large paved pull-through sites in the Ranchos section. Our bus with car trailer fit there. These sites are very nice with privacy fences, picnic tables, and gas grills all on brick pavers. The other RV sites are back-ins among the park models. Very nice pools and exercise room and good front loading laundry. No problem with satellite because there are no trees or shade. No wi-fi at bus. Both AT&T and Verizon voice and data worked well; you're in Phoenix after all. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Another huge 55+ park. Streets are wide enough to navigate a big rig and get in to sites, although we had a little trouble getting out because of some sharp turns going that direction. Excellent quality 50 amp power. At our location, the park WiFi was reliable and fast. Excellent book exchange ("library"). Two laundromats; one requires you buy a card and put money on it. No refunds for any unused balance on the card. The other laundromat is coin operated. Several pools, including a large indoor pool. All the geezer recreational facilities and activities you would expect, including a full bar adjacent to the grill. The park is mostly park models, which are well maintained, as are the grounds. Nice exercise room with plenty of equipment, although they keep it at 73 degrees, which is pretty warm. One really nice touch is that each site is provided with a large, rolling City trash container, which you roll out to the street once a week for collection. We stayed one week using our Coast to Coast membership, then a second week using Passport America, so our daily rate was about half the $40 rack rate. We will definitely use this park on our next trip through Mesa. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Beautiful older resort. It was four separate resorts combined together. More activities than you could ever have time to do. All kinds of crafts, parties, dances, food, etc. Hope to get back there in winter of 2009. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Came here only because of Passport America: daily rate at 1/2 price is $22.40 with taxes, and because of the central location. Really is a huge, confusing park with many ancient travel trailers, mobile homes, and park models for elderly residents, but there are nice RV pull-throughs to meet your younger, fellow travelers. A good grass dog park is in the Fiesta section and a nice pool, but showers were in bad condition. Front desk staff is okay, volunteer rangers lead you to site. Lots of activities for long termers, could be a decent place to winter. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is really a retirement village with mostly park model single wide trailers, but with some back-in and pull-through spaces for RVs. We used a smaller pull-through $225/wk versus a larger one at 255/wk. The hospitality is outstanding. They even guide you to your space. We were there to visit family and stayed two weeks. But, I would like to go back and stay a month. There is so much to do in the village; they give you an activities calendar packed with things to do and shows during the "snowbird" season. It is also central to the Mesa area so you are close to most Mesa venues. We will definitely stay there again in the future We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is PREDOMINANTLY a winter snowbird resort for people who reside in predominantly permanent trailer like homes. They have pull throughs for 'transients' like us. If you are a Passport America member, the price is right, otherwise, it would be exhorbitant considering other RV resorts. It is right in the center of Mesa and fairly close to interstates. The sites are clean, level, gravel sites with asphalt roads. Palm and orange trees are scattered throughout and the staff is pleasant. Some of the residents are a little kooky but we enjoyed the stay overall. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Very well maintained park with very nice facilities and friendly staff. The sites are level concrete and adequate in size, though not large. There are numerous sections and the park is huge. We had to learn our way around. It is rather sterile and we felt like we were in a subdivision rather than a park. It was very convenient as everything you might need or want to do was very close by. All in all a nice place to stay. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Val Vista Village is one of three smaller parks combined into one (about 1500 sites total) with two thirds being park models. The facilities such as restrooms, showers, laundry, and rec rooms get very crowded during the peak months because of the large size. The park schedules many concerts and singers during the winter months, however tickets are gone in first few days. The little deli next to the center courtyard is reasonable and offers delicious meals. The miniature golf course is fun, as well as the batting cages and tennis courts. A car wash is available for cleaning your tows & toads. You can wash your own RV or hire it done (the water leaves spots tho). Plenty to do in the area as far as hiking, biking, flea markets, etc. Each site has it's own fruit tree and the hummingbirds are plentiful. The residents are friendly, the staff is helpful. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We have stayed at Val Vista Village for the last 3 years. We arrive in January and stay for 3 months. The park is fairly old and is in need of some repairs which are being undertaken since there is a new manager on board. They have so many activities for you to choose from that if you are bored it is your own fault. The park is located centrally to shopping, restaurants, hiking, boating, movies, museums, theatres and anything you could possibly want to do. We will continue to spend winters there as long as we are able. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Stayed 5 ½ months this year, our third winter in this park. The Wi-Fi internet works sporadically at best and you have to wait in line when it does work. Last year and again this year we were told someone from California is coming to fix it. (Surely, you are kidding! maybe they are walking?). People are very friendly here and that’s why we returned. Will not next season. The main pool was closed today for "pool deck repairs"; walking inside there is no evidence of any repairs needed. Whereas the outside pool has tiles falling off as with 3 out of 4 showers inside have tiles falling off the shower walls with drywall exposed. One toilet and shower “out of order. Paint is falling off the ceiling and it smells very much like urine. They've been that way for over 5 months! There is one arrogant security guard in Ranchos who thinks he owns the place; sets temperatures in the weight rooms at 75*. It’s very hard to breathe while working out – stifling. Weight room is adjacent to sewing room and in same complex as computer room – One thermostat for all three rooms. They’ve locked the outside door to weight room you have to go through sewing room. (so treadmills can’t be stolen I was told) so you can’t open the door either.( Fire Hazard? ) The Ranchos security guard checks there constantly and will close the windows telling you “We’re not allowed to open the windows”. There’s NO air to breath in room with LOW ceilings and that’s not healthy breaking by any terms. Garbage day is tues. and then the street sweeper truck runs all day. He passed by 11 times last tuesday. The machine uses NO WATER, so the dust just keeps blowing on everything you own and filtrates inside. He really enjoys his job. You can not keep your car or rig clean here. Spaces are too tight (3' from slides to neighbors car doors) to wash rig and the hard water spots are awful. There is new management in this park. An original park model owner who contributed greatly and had lived here 33 years, never been late with a payment; sold her model in March and owners would not give her even a partial refund on this years fully paid rent. – Guess CAL AM needed her money bad. During the entire month of March there are lots of children visiting grandparents from Canada and U.S for spring break so it’s really hard to relax at the pool. As to using Coast to Coast- Last year I did the figures, but you can check yourself. If you use coast to coast you have to pay the local taxes………. that plus the cost of your points is not figured into thread above. The very nice gals in the office told me it would be cheaper to stay three months as then you are considered a resident and then you are charged a the lower “ resident tax”. Otherwise, staying here is more expensive when using Coast to Coast. There were three cars broken into during March inside the park, but I suppose it’s because the arrogant security guard is too busy patrolling the thermostat. All public rooms (weight room, computer, sewing, laundry) are to closed at 11pm (says so in brochure and confirmed by crafts director). Which, at 11 pm. they do in the other parts of this park. But the arrogant security guard comes in at 10:15 and kicks you out, stating he gets off work at 11:00 and needs to close up.? Other residents have said he likes to get off early. As with any park, the longer you stay the more you learn what it’s like. I’m just relieved that we didn’t buy into this one. Infamous quote: “One rotten bean can spoil the whole pot”. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a phenomenal park and very RV friendly. We stayed here 7 days at the end of January 2007. We were very apprehensive about staying here considering what many folks seem to say about these 55+ parks that seem to focus on long-term stays. Yes, this park has the normal park models, but, is in tune with taking very good care of it’s RV guests as well. We stayed here as a Coast 2 Coast member and were greeted with friendly smiles. Staff are extremely helpful and very responsive. We were escorted to our site. Sites are paved and level with many RV sites available throughout the park. You can reserve deluxe sites that have privacy fence, gas barbeque, picnic table, tv cable and local phone. They are in high demand. We didn’t get one of those, but we were paying $19.50 per night vs the deluxe non-discounted rate of $55. We had full hook-ups with electric included. We paid the $13 (1,300 points) Coast 2 Coast GNP rate plus $5 electric and $1.50 tax per night. For this you get WiFi and access to ALL facilities. This park is actually a very nice resort. They have an indoor heated pool and 4 outdoor pools; 3 fitness centers, tennis courts, shuffleboard; a pool hall; concerts by former headliner entertainers (similar to Branson, MO). The park is near many area activities and tourist sites. Some drawbacks are no kids (which to me is not a drawback) and the WiFi is hit and miss although very strong in the clubhouse. You can set up satellite dishes and wash your rig and vehicles. Some current RV undiscounted rates as of Feb 2007 are: $35 daily and $175 weekly (includes electric); $470 monthly, $1,350 for 3 month, electric not included. Deluxe RV sites: $55 daily and $235 weekly (includes electric). We stayed at Davis-Monthan AFB Tucson prior to this at $16 per day and felt we were getting a bargain. The real bargain is at Val Vista Village. We were very happy with our stay and plan to stay for a month next winter. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed Jan through March. This park is friendly and has lots of activities to offer. They have new Bocce Ball courts and Pickle Ball courts. You can walk your dog around the perimeter of the park, but otherwise their are restrictions. This is a large park and have heavy usage for the pool area. My issue is that they only clean the shower areas once per day and by 3 PM they get pretty mucky. The pool decks were not hosed down daily and the same bugs or sand, bandages were left around the side of the pool often when I went to the early morning pool exercises. Manager was not open to resolving concerns as her comment was that they have done things this way for years and in her opinion why change. They have obviously cut corners with cleanliness to fund things that attract people to the park. Wi-Fi is terrible. The computer room is pay per use. There is an area to set up and use your computer for free but it is very tiny and allows only about five people at a time and no printing access. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Rate based on 3 week stay at $250 per week with our first week at half price under Passport America. Escort to site aided in backing into site around palm tree. Only negative relates to limited space to park dually between palm tree and raised concrete patio. Well maintained park with more than enough to keep one busy daily and nightly. Wi-Fi worked well. This is a large park that is very nice with wide streets and spaces with plenty of room for a long RV and parking for 2 vehicles. It is a 55+ park so kids are limited to short visits. The club house has many activities and a theater that has big name entertainment occasionally. There are also tennis courts and rooms for woodworking and other hobbies. Many restaurants are within a short driving distance. For those wanting to stay a short time, they are a Passport America park. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

I just noticed previous reviewers' rates! Wow. I guess I should have paid attention earlier and negotiated up front, however we were going there to visit some snowbird relatives anyway. Great place and area to stay. Several pages of small-print rules in the park's phone book. I guess when you have that many people there, you'd better have some discipline. Nice large sites nestled between park models. Everyone very friendly. VDO could use more grassy spots for the mutts (I know, I know - more water needed). Quiet, except for that inevitable rude departure of a pusher at 6am - for shame - you know who you are - I think I heard you in Pahrump, too. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Our first experience in a huge, 55+ park. 85% park models. Very well kept and clean park. Friendly, helpful staff as well as residents. Loads of activities (attended a 'welcome back' meet and greet and a Veterans Day Special evening). We had a very good time and made some friends. Spaces were generously sized. We would definitely return again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Have stayed here for the past 2 winters (Oct-Apr) and really enjoy the park people and activities. We started playing tennis here which has organized league play and social tennis - big draw for this park. They also have 8 softball teams that are in league play. There are way too many activities to do here in one winter season and it is very difficult to get bored during that time (Nov-Mar). They have 3 happy hours per week at the large pool area along with shows, dinners, weekly market day (Thurs), etc. They are adding 2 more tennis courts (8 total) and 6 pickle ball courts over the summer. This is a PPA park also for 7 days. We will return next fall for our 3rd season. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a winter destination snowbird park. Our rate reflects the monthly charge. You pay extra for electricity and trash and sewer. When they park you, it is assumed you will be staying for months on end, so they are very precise to get you aligned with everyone else. They are also careful to not allow you to run over the utilities which are located at the back of the lots. You may need cord and hose extensions, if you are not situated with your hookups on the left rear corner of your rig. As a winter destination park, they have all activities customarily available at these kinds of parks. Some of these activities do have small fees. This park has the nicest wood shop I have ever seen in any RV park. My wife enjoyed the sewing and quilt group as well. The park has gate guards that do check what your purpose is in the park, and restrict traffic after the late hours at night. We seemed secure for our 3 month stay. The park has its own post office that seems to be staffed with volunteers. The hours are somewhat restrictive as you can't pick up packages until the mail is put out in the boxes, about 11 AM. The office closes at 3 PM. Our site number was not our post office box number, but if you received UPS or FedEx, it had to have the site number on it. This was hard to explain to our relatives and vendors that were sending us things. All in all we enjoyed our stay here and have made specific site reservations for next year by putting down a $250 deposit. We have to reserve a pet area site as we have a small dog, and if you walk into areas that don't allow dogs, you will have a resident yell at you quite quickly. This is normal at all the parks we have stayed at here in Mesa in the past. While this park will work for an overnight stay, it is geared to the longer term folks in the winter. We camped here in a Motorhome.

55+, more than the typical amenities, 2 pools (one so hot you can't stand to get in!), on-site PO, friendly people and staff. Love the Country Store every Thurs.; 3 small dog parks and very pet friendly in the pet sections (some annoying barking goes on); lots of park models and friends have purchased here; very active park. We stayed here for 4 months and would come back again. Rate reflects monthly discount for long term stay, electric average ($15 mo. meter reading fee!), sewer/trash (an extra $30/mo.)-- you have your own trash and recycle cans. Great park, lots of activities. Off leash areas for your "kids" which were very clean. They take you to your site and help you park. We lucked out with a site across from laundry. Very convenient. This park has the coolest outside model train layout. We camped here in a Motorhome.

They get 3 points because the park is well maintained. At the front gate our first experience was, and I quote, "What do you want?" (It was in no way friendly or joking). After telling him we had a reservation and pointing to our names on his list, he proceeded to quiz us on when we made the reservation. Finally, he sent us up to where another friendly chap in a golf cart led us to our site. We told him we could take it from there but he demanded to back us in and claimed 20 years experience. He then proceeded to stand in the wrong spot (couldn't see my blind spot) and issue orders that would run us into a pole. We then proceeded to ignore him and he turned beat red and yelled at me that we were going to run over the cement pad. We saw the pad and were in no danger of hitting it. We then proceeded to back up stopping every few feet to "check" and never came close to the pad. Once in place he was upset that the steps wouldn't reach the pad. I pulled them out and they were dead on to the inch. (I couldn't do that again in a million years.) He then decides the front of the rig must be even with the adjacent "rigs." It wasn't until I moved up to accommodate this that I realized the utilities were all the way to the back of the very deep lot. Without a spare 30amp cord we were stuck with a 15amp extension cord. The sewer would have required 4 - 15ft hoses so effectively we had no sewer for the week we were here. He then checked the electric meter and asked me to sign off, which I did. He then proceeded to argue that it wasn't my signature? I offered to show him my ID, but at this point he jumped on his cart and drove off. He never bothered to tell us the office is closed on the weekends so we walked the 1/2 mile to the office for nothing and didn't have information or access to stuff for the weekend. On Monday when we checked in we talked to the manager about it and he just blew us off. The park is mostly mobile home (park models with lots of add on's) with empty spots filled with RV's. In talking to folks, our experience is fairly typical. If they have a park model that wants your RV site, you will be moved. If it wouldn't have upset my mother who was staying here, I would have pulled out and went elsewhere. The rate reflects PPA. We camped here in a Truck Camper.

The price reflects the summer rates. We have been to this park before and it is wonderful. The staff is friendly and helpful. The grounds are well manicured at all times. The amenities are to many to list and the pools and hot tubs are ahhh relaxing and very clean. It was quiet when we were here this time but have been here in peak season and the staff is still friendly and helpful. A good location to sight see, hike the mountains, tube down the river or boating at the nearby lakes. We will come here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We camped here for two nights. This park has it all. You really need the map to get around, since it's so huge. All sites have paved patios and room to put out your canopy, if desired. The restrooms and showers were the best that I have seen anywhere, except there was a problem with the women's shower drain. This is the only reason I didn't give this park a 10. I will stay here the next time I'm here in Mesa. Great park with lots of amenities and activities. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This place is great, they have everything. Staff is great, you can take any kind of craft class you can imagine. Has two pools, hot tub, and a hair salon. There is a billiard room with 16 tables, an exercise room, and PC and Apple computer classes. Also has many shuffleboard courts. Any shopping and restaurants are basically within 5 miles. We will be back for 3 months in January. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Must be near to a hundred activities available. From a garden railroad to bike clubs, golf, hiking and a couple of dozen crafts rooms, you can use even two computer rooms: Apple and PC. If for some strange reason you get bored on campus, there is a ton to do in the Mesa, Apache Junction, and Phoenix area. It is an over 55 community with lots of room for us transients. Like a playground for Seniors. We stayed for 6 weeks and plan to return. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We intended to stay in this park for 3 months but left after a month. There are lots of activities, but all the classes we tried to sign up for were full. As a previous poster stated it is more like a 75+ community. There are two large pet areas which are divided by a non pet area that you will have people screaming at you if you try to cross. The pet area we were in, was serviced by two small gravel pet runs that seemed very unsanitary as the smell was unbearable. Our dogs became sick after a couple days and on investigation we found that most dogs in the park were sick and the runs were suspected of being the contributor. The park is very central to the Mesa area and would be a good location for getting out to the recreational areas. There is shopping fairly close and it is right beside the freeway if you want to travel around. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is probably the nicest of the many 55+ megaparks in Mesa. Like the others, it is mostly park models, but it always has sites available for RVs. The roads are wider than most of the other parks, making it easier to park a big rig. There are four big laundries in the park, with inexpensive ($1.00/load) well maintained machines. It has swimming pools, tennis courts, many craft shops, the whole works. The staff and volunteers are very friendly, all seeming to enjoy their work. The pet sections tend to be around the perimeter, which means they are much more likely to get road noise. We could not connect to the park Wi-Fi from our site. Park 50-amp power was very strong, not sagging noticeably under load. We stayed for one week under the half price Passport America rate of $18/day. We camped here in a Motorhome.

55+ park. Stayed here about 3 weeks, very comfortable. Lots of amenities including separate workrooms for a dozen crafts, including a super size wood working shop, and a garden railroad to work on. No camp store, which surprised me, not even a snack vending machine. They except Campground USA, and Passport America, so the first couple of weeks are half price. Again no grass but lots of park models that are well landscaped. We found ourselves welcomed and had a great time at bingo and the dances and on site craft shows. Would definitely stay here again, perhaps next year. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Our rate reflects a three week stay. As noted in previous reviews this is more of a park model park --it does have RV sites. The grounds are well kept and it is very clean. If you are over 40ft they park you against the outer walls of the resort along either Southern Drive, Ellsworth or Highway 60. We found it to be rather noisy from a traffic standpoint. If you plan to stay three or four months you might find it a little more user friendly, as it is set up to favor long term stays. As for our experience in three weeks: the site did not have cable TV, and the Wi-Fi was very slow and unrelable; over head power lines killed the TV reception, so we had only three local channels on the antenna. If you stay over a month you can purchase cable TV from the local provider.The sites are wide enough to accommodate the RV, a car and some patio furniture. They are a little tight to get into but as mentioned before they do "park you with precision". The laundry was clean, but the equipment was in disrepair or did not work properly. Something that had been brought to the managers attention several times, but had not been repaired. Only one entrance into the resort unless you are a seasonal stayer then you get a remote to open the gate on Southern Drive. While this is a 55 park, it felt much more like an over 75 park to us. We would not stay again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a large over-55 park with all of the amenities. My wife took advantage of a lapidary class. We found the staff and residents friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay here again. Rate was Passport America and good for seven days. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Upon arriving late at this age restricted community, with no reservations, we were charged full price to spend the night in a parking lot -- pending an assigned space in the morning. The gentleman that parked us that night; did so with military precision, standing right upon the left side view mirror as we parked our RV. He seemed to have no regard for the possibility of loosing a foot in the maneuver.. . Not having been given any suggestions or alternatives to where we should walk our pets the next morning, we considerately kept the pets tightly leashed and vigilantly grabbed all solid excavations as quickly as they were released. However, this wasn't enough for a piece of flotsam in the pool who crassly accused us of allowing our pets to run helter skelter across the shuffleboard court (not even a infinitesimal possibility that we would have ever done it.). Once we were parked in our assigned spot (again directed with military precision) there were signs for don'ts (NO PETS ALLOWED PAST this point, and NO SMOKING PAST THIS POINT) clearly posted throughout the park. This further intensified the feeling of visiting someone who really didn't want you there to begin with. Most of the workers we talked with were congenial and considerate. However the feeling that there are some tightly wound people directing the environment, in which they are most likely; temporary residents, pervaded our interpretation of this tense "resort". We not only would NOT go back, but would advise anyone who appreciates the art of good manners and hospitality to give it a second thought, as Valle Del Oro anything but inviting and relaxing. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We came in here on Christmas Eve, for an overnight on the way to Roper Lake. Since it was late, they said the only place they could put us was in the overflow area. A parking lot. (Mind you, they had lots of pull-through sites available.) In all fairness, the staff was friendly and helpful, but if they think our experience here would make us inclined to purchase a lot in their park? Well, sorry! I have to assume this was better than Wal-Mart (I've never stayed there and don't intend to again), but probably only just. What can I say? It's a resort type campground. Not our cup of tea! We won't be back. Next time, we'll go a few miles on up the road to Usery Mountain. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is the 3rd winter we have stayed at this park. I would of given this park a 10 but there have been some changes that I find to be a problem. Once you put a deposit down on a site for the winter, and someone comes in and wants that site for the year, you are asked to find another spot. Even if you have reserved that spot for the year and someone wants to put a park model on it you are asked to find another spot. The wi-fi is on and off, mostly off unless you go to the club house. This has been promised now for 3 years and no improvement as yet. The 2 pools are great and the staff couldn't be better. They have many activities here. If you're bored it's your fault. I don't know if we will come back next year as the price for the 4 months is beginning to get a little pricey. We camped here in a Motorhome.

First, the people at the office are very nice. But this is the largest RV park I have ever seen! You need a GPS to get around in the park. Great water pressure, 70 psi. G3 on the air card. Costco is close and there is a Safeway and Albertsons just across the freeway. The place is spotless, but I could not find the trash bins. Maybe tomorrow. I would probably stay here again, if I could not find something smaller and more user friendly. Phoenix is getting way too big. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a destination park. Age 55+. Wonderful amenities and entertainment. Sports and craft classes abound. Very good exercise room. If you are bored here, it is because you want to be. The sites close to Southern Ave. or Hwy 60 have quite a bit of road noise. The one complaint I have with this park (and almost all other parks in this area) is that they call themselves RV parks but really they are Park Model Parks. Actual RV sites are in the minority. There were many non pet area spots available in February, their busiest month. The pet area is segregated and most residents get quite upset if you set foot inside the no pet area. There are fenced pet runs but I don't recommend using them because of the chance of getting a disease because of the concentrated site. They accept Passport America, Coast to Coast and Good Sam.(maybe others but I don't remember) and are happy to accept you with these plans. They even run through the list to be sure you get the discounts you are entitled too. Refreshing. We have stayed at this park before and would do so again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Nice park with good facilities. Staff was friendly and helpful. Only pull throughs were in parking lot across from office so no place for chairs, grill, or sitting outside. Noisy in the mornings and at times in evening. Lots of things to do. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We were here for a convention so price reflects a discounted group rate. This is a HUGE and nice park in many ways: very large sites with your own patio, tons of amenities, wide streets, well kept, electric and cable TV were excellent and had a friendly staff. There are some negatives: WiFi was not working, added daily $3 resort fee for short stays, hookups in the rear of the sites, no picnic tables nor shade, and small trees with spikes are at the entry of every back-in site. Has many park models except for the remaining area for RVs and this is a snowbirders park. It was a great space for a convention with a huge Activity Center/ Ballroom. Not sure I would recommend it for a short stay. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a beautiful-looking park that would get a high score in it wasn't for the ridiculous charges and the inefficient front desk staff. Our PA book said the regular rate was $46 but the Park said $59, surprise! Then they add a $3 resort fee, taxes, WiFi, and other petty fees. Even with the 1/2 PA rate (only for off-season, 3 nights), and just the resort fee and tax, it was almost $38; not a great deal, especially for an unlevel site on a busy street, next to a park model with the AC running all day right next to your door. Hookups were so far back we couldn't use the sewer or water. Cable TV had many channels, though not a sharp picture. Nicest facilities are over in Northpoint, so you might want that side. Better yet, don't come at all, let the park model rich people have it. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Our Stay was for three months and the prime winter months. We stayed in the North point are which is mostly RV at this point but will someday be mostly park models. Nice park but not without some concerns and comments. The sites are built for park models so utility placement is not the greatest in most sites. Some are low on the street side and difficult to get level in. The Wi-Fi is not the greatest and costs $30 a month. The price would be OK if the Wi-Fi was better. The park needs some work: streets are breaking up and the pool area has some loose tiles etc. We experienced several water and cable TV outages during our stay. They always got it fixed fairly quickly but it still took several hours at times. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Not recommended for short stay's (1-3 nights) this is a mobile home park and NOT A RESORT, extremely OVER priced. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Wow! Where to start? This is definitely a non-short term user friendly park! I know I'm in the minority as their are over a thousand Park Model residence (nice folks) here. They like it. We didn't. Let's start with the hidden fees, i.e. Pet charge, Internet charge, City taxes, and a resort fee; what ever the heck that is. Total of over $75 bucks a night for the thrill of backing our Motor Home onto a slanted site, unusable until we asked for some additional blocks (we carry some) that raised our Coach to a somewhat level position. Water? Yeah, they have water and all the other amenities, however, they shut it off for a couple of hours at the peak of the AM. While they said they advised all by posters, I guess I must have been parked where their was none. Along with all of my neighbors who didn't get the message. Oh yes, golf! They do allow you a discount to play in a rather nice next-door course, but when we tee'd off at 2:30 PM, paying for 18 holes but expecting to play at least 12-13 before it got dark, we didn't even finish 9 holes as that took over 3 hours! No Marshal, no one to move folks along, and o-yeah, no Cart because they had too many players. Duh! Bottom line, it's a very clean, very big, very expensive Park for a few days. We wouldn't go back. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We planned on staying here through the New Year but left early. The staff was very friendly. However, we were terribly disappointed in the site. It was not much of an "RV" Resort. It had several modular small homes throughout the park. RV's were placed in the very back. There were no trees nor picnic tables here. We were told to park on the gravel and reserve the concrete for patio. The sewer smell was a little strong. The golf course looked nice! We tried to get tee times but were told each time that it was already booked(?) We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is a very nice park for long term stay. The sites are large at 45', and all have a 25' wide concrete patio. Though this is mostly a park model park, the RV's are generally kept together in the North Point section, giving you the feeling that you are not part of a park model park. The roads here are generous allowing no difficulty in parking. The 27 holes of golf also add green space and separation to the numerous sites. Activities are abundant for winter snow birds and many folks come for 3-6 months in the winter. The golf course is in reasonable condition and the green fees run about $27 with a punch card. The only negative issue about this park that prevents me from giving it a 10, is the miserable WiFi service, which costs an additional $30/mth. It is weak, very unreliable, is exceedingly slow, has numerous drop outs and is generally undependable. It is a shame, considering how much we all use the internet these days. Management doesn't seem to respond to the internet problem. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

I noticed a fairly negative from a previous RV'er and I have to wonder why. This park is on the pricey side, that's true, but the amenities are very good. We've been on the road for several months and dropped back to this park 3 times, now. We actually tried another park in the area and left as the spaces were extremely crowded and came back here. The sites are spacious, the park is clean as are all the buildings we've used. It is very pet friendly. This place is large but not so much as it should push you away. We've found it to be filled with friendly. helpful folks. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Pulled in and went to our site and pulled right back out and went to another park. This is not an RV park. It is a huge mobile home park for "snowbirds". Park has almost 2000 spaces but only a handful of RV spaces mixed in. In the summer it is a "ghost town". We will not return. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a large 55+ geezer park, which is now a Coast-to-Coast Good Neighbor park as well as Passport America (only a 25% discount Jan-Mar, though). The pet area is only two streets (Roads 100 and 200), but there are plenty of spaces there. We are on Road 200, which is far enough from University Ave. to be quiet. There is a $3/day dog fee. We found the staff helpful. They have a large lending library, plus the usual pool, hot tub, classrooms, events, etc. that you find in these huge parks. We would stay here again, primariy because it's $16/day for Coast-to-Coast members. It was a squeeze getting our 40' MH in, which is typical for these big parks that have been around a while. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We have stayed here for three different winter seasons, ranging from 3 to 6 months each time. This is a park model community with about 1/3 of the spaces available for RVs. Some of the spaces are sandwiched between park models and some are in the newer section that is mostly empty spaces. The newer section has cement driveway and patio pads and very wide sites. Rates include instant telephone and cable television. The park is completely full from January to March. There are so many clubs, activities and entertainment that no one will be without something to do. They have the best New Year's Eve party in the area and it is always sold out. There is an 18 hole golf course, and a 9 hole course, and both women's and men's leagues, plus couple's leagues on alternating Sundays. They have a wonderful tennis center, and a full size baseball field, complete with bleachers and snack bar. There are 3 pools, excellent spa and exercise facilities. We love it here, and will probably buy one of the park models when we are ready to stop using our motor home. The homes range in size and price from $30k to $130k. Highly recommended for a great winter resort location. Like most RV parks in the area, they have very low occupancy during the summer months. My only complaint would be that the restaurant in the golf club closes too early on Saturday and Sunday, and the golf courses are closed on holidays. Other than that, this is a great, upscale RV resort. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We purchased a "stay'n'play" month package, 1st one would have thought having made the reservation that the package would have been complete with the check-in envelope. Not so and I spent more time chasing down the dinner show tickets and the gas card than I think they were worth. No communication between employees within their work area or with any other are of the park. I believe that because every person that you ask a question, you get a different answer. Moral is keep asking til you find someone that'll give you the answer you want! If you travel with pets: you are basically treated as second class. 1)you share the dog walk area with golfers chipping 2) only sites for dogs are on 100 row which abutts University Drive and it's like sleeping in the middle of Phoenix raceway during a race! (unless you learned about asking the question about other sites til you get the answer you want) And they have a shuttle train in the park, the newsletter says it does the outside loop of the park (100 row is on the outside) it never came down that row, what it should say is the outside row of Park Models. Not friendly at all, will never go back and would advise that there are many other parks in Mesa that are less money and far friendlier. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This was my wife and my first experience looking for a CG in Arizona. She picked it out of a Woodalls book. Buy did she make the right decision. This is probably the nicest CG Resort that we have ever stayed at. We were here for a week. The sites were huge with a concrete pad. There was also an 18 hole golf course which we really enjoyed. There was a restaurant at the golf course that served delicious meals for lunch and supper time. The resort was cleaner than clean and the staff went out of there way to try and help. We can't wait to go back again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
