This is a pretty basic park with few frills. Landscaping is minimal as are the RV sites. The sites are very close and the roads are narrow so it can make it a chore to maneuver your rig into place. It is convenient to anything go on in the area and as mentioned by others, it is less expensive. It was neat and clean and fine for an overnight destination. I would stay there again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
It is not a particularly attractive park, this campground has little paving and minimal landscaping. Its’ one redeeming value is the price, which about ½ that of the competing park in town. Check the rates carefully, though. At the time of my stay a full-hookup with cable was $30, a full hookup $27 and an electricity and water site was $23 (all prices are before discounts). I selected the electricity/water option and my net nightly charge came to less than $21 including tax. Wi-Fi service is very good with multiple antennas throughout the park. The laundry is depressing and potentially dangerous. While all the machines are relatively new, there isn’t a window in the entire laundry area giving it a very claustrophobic feel. A concern from a safety standpoint is that there is only one entrance to the laundry area. A fire could easily trap users in this area. I’m surprised that the public safety officials in Page allowed this construction in a public facility. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This park is cheaper than the only other place with hookups (Wahweap). The sites are unlevel front to back, side to side is usually pretty good. Nice view to the east with red rocks. Half the campground are 'perms' but anyone staying over a month has to go through a police check. Pool, spa, and laundry facilities are nice. They are making improvement to some of the campsites and building a wall in the back area. Nice trees. Would stay again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Pros: New building to house office, store, indoor pool. Easy access to Walmart, highways. Good laundry facility. Price is certainly right. Cons: Extremely unattractive CG. Nowhere for dogs. Full of loud party people--on a Wednesday night in October, of all times. Extremely unlevel sites. Used up all our blocks and still we're off 2%+. Glad we get to take off this morning. We camped here in a Motorhome.
It is a great deal for the money. We had an electric/water only site which is $4 less than full hookup of $27. (Cable TV is $3 more) I had no problem with level with my TT rig, but would have with a Class A. Very helpful staff! It is clean and well cared for. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Level is something that needs to be explained to the owners of this park. A little grading would go a long way in improving this park. Could be real nice with a little work. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Clean park, and friendly people. The electrical is a little weak, the circuit popped a couple of times getting the temperature in the trailer down. It is 100 degrees outside, might have something to do with it. Wi-Fi works signal is weak. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This is an all gravel RV park that is just barely OK. The problem is the staff are clueless. The location wasn't accurate on the GPS. We pulled over and called them twice asking for directions to the park and they just kept saying "It's where all the trees are!" Not very helpful, and when we finally found it there really weren't that many trees after all. They have the only RV park in town and their attitude shows it. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We were told no full-hookup sites were available. Each night we walked around the campground and noticed that most of the full-hookup sites were open. When we were ready to leave we were told that we had to pay an extra $4 to use the dump station. This is the first campground we ever had to pay to dump. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a great park for exploring the area. The sites are gravel but level and the grounds and facilities are well-maintained. A nearby trail system around the edge of the Mesa offers an awesome view of the Colorado River and the Lake Powell Dam. We stayed a week and will return. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Staying here was not our first choice, however the other major park in this area was booked. After a slow check-in process, we were assigned a spot that was already occupied. Had originally reserved a pull-thru site, but was eventually located in a back-in site. Our site was not level: parked with our front wheels off the ground. Office staff would benefit from customer service classes, and the park could use some general spiffing up. Appears quite a few full-timers residing here. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We have stayed here many times. We come back because we love Lake Powell. Checked in and when we arrived at our site someone else was setting up camp in our site. We went back to office and were giving a different site that was not half as nice as the one we first were given. Staff is okay. Nobody seems to be the boss. Sites are big. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Nice large sites and fairly level. However, they are all gravel and red sand. We had an end site and apparently there was a large storm that did a lot of damage and washed away quite a bit of gravel. The end result was quite a mess. A bit of rain will result in a lot of red mud. WiFi was weak in our site. Still, it's an OK place and a lot cheaper then then the other RV park, plus it's close to town. I'd probably stay again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
They lost our reservation, so they started out in the wrong. We should have stayed at the RV park at the marina on the lake, even though it seemed a bit out of the way. Many RVers stayed in the Walmart parking lot, which was actually nicer than the RV park, not as dusty. OK for a night, but if you're going to Lake Powell, you might as well be near the lake. Be sure to stop at the great scenic overlook, where you can see the lake from way up above; fab view. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We arrived shortly after a large rain storm to find the park very flooded on Memorial Day Weekend. The hot-tub did not work, and the bathrooms were out of toilet paper by Sunday. We called two months in advance to make the reservation. Called one week in advance to confirm the reservation and they couldn't find it. When we provided the confirmation number, they blamed the mistake on another employee who tends to forget to enter them. Upon arrival, we were put into a small space that did not accommodate our 5th wheel and boat. Then after we set up and went into office to pay, we are informed the people who reserved the spot we wanted had canceled. We will not stay here again. After investigating the surrounding area, I'd pay the extra money to stay at Wahweap or at Lone Rock. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We made reservations in this campground at 11:00 am with our Visa card and arrived at 3 pm. All the pull through sites were full including the one they said they reserved for us! They blamed the "mistake" on a new office girl. This happened to us and others we know here before. I now believe this is their normal practice, to "get the money". You know, "a bird in hand". Who ever shows up first gets the sites. They DON'T hold sites. We will NEVER stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Very nice park. Staff is friendly and helpful. we planned to be here 2 nights, but we heard there was snow coming at our next stop and elected to leave a day earlier. The park was kind enough to refund the cost of the the additional night. We would definitely stay here again. Camped here in a fifth wheel. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is a great desert park. Maybe we were just real tired of the soggy, cold northwest winter, but a level, gravel, wide back-in site was welcomed. The office was closed at 5:15 PM on Easter Sunday, but there were instructions for late arrivals, no problems. Nice view. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This reflects a weekly rate. Nice scenery from the camper, all gravel sites. The water connections were insulated already. Lots to do in the area, fantastic scenery. Not as scenic as the Waheap campground but cheaper. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is a decent park. It is gravel everywhere with nothing to determine the edge of each site. The sites are mostly on a slope from front to back (or vice versa) but are level side to side. There are some really neat red rock formations right beside the park. They have some shade trees that are only 20' high or so but we were able to use our satellite with no problem. No tables or fire grills. We stayed here several days while we toured the area. We lucked out and had a bunch of hot air balloons pass overhead while we were here. That was pretty neat. The registration parking is not well marked. I recommend that you immediately turn left after entering the park. This will put you beside the office. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a clean and well maintained park. The sites are gravel. Most appear to be wide and our pull through was long and wide. Our site had some shade although others did not. The park is located on a hill so some sites slope from front to back which was not a real problem for our travel trailer. Our site was level side to side as were the others in our row. The laundry was clean and the equipment appeared well maintained. The Wi-fi worked at our site even though the office staff said it may not. The cable TV was adequate with some stations better than others. For the price, this was a good campground. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Nice park, level sites, indoor pool, playground, easy hiking trail on site. Stayed two nights as tour base but would return. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We stayed here after dry camping for a day. Not a bad park but.... when you come in there is no where to park at the office. There is a road to the left going up the hill that looks like where I needed to go but someone was parked in there and I pulled up on the road in front of the office. After I checked in I had to back up a 38 foot fifth wheel back out to the street and make the hard turn to the left. I got to the site by a round about way and the site I was supposed to be on was occupied. I called the office and she gave me a choice of a couple more sites none of which appeared level. In fact they aren’t level. WAAAAY off. An Airstream came in after me next door and he has 3” of pads under the wheels and the trailer hitch is on the ground. The site ramps up hill and is off by 3 “ side to side. The connections aren’t handy and I recommend laying out the electric and sewer hose to get a feel for where the rig can go. They advertise Wi-Fi but it doesn’t work at the sites. You have to go down by the office or the pool to get logged on. Actually I am not sure it works at all. I could get a signal at times but I couldn’t connect to the network. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Overall a nice park for the price. Entry/exit is a little tight (they should move the dumpsters), but the office staff was friendly, the utilities worked fine, and the free WiFi and cable worked well. Sites are long, gravel, reasonably level, and there are some trees for shade. We'd stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
I had a sloping site so somewhat difficult to level but also had a great view of the red rocks and roadrunners! Office staff somewhat scattered and disorganized but nice park and much cheaper than Wahweap. Will definitely stay again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This campground offered amenities such as 56 channel cable tv, pool, free showers, propane fills and wifi, all of which were not available nearby. The trade off is no view, a location across town from the Lake Powell area, little shade and a graveled surface. Still hoping someday to find a really good campground in the Lake Powell area that is reasonably priced. Next time we have to stay in Page it will be a toss up as to which trade off sounds best. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Overall, the RV park is nice - sections A, B and C all offer pretty decent space and some privacy for each spot (section D is far more congested with RV's right up next to each other). It is a nice desert setting with distant views of the lake. However, there were several negatives. First, as other reviews have also noted, the customer service of the staff was completely lacking. They told us that they do not reserve exact spots, but are usually able to accommodate requests. They indicated the reason that they were unable to is that a couple of people decided to add on to their original reservation and stay longer. I have been in other camps that if you decide to stay longer and it impacts someone else's reservation then you will have to move. The staff were overall very disorganized. They also didn't inform us that you have to pay an additional $15 at the gate to get in to access the RV park. In addition, the park is overall pet unfriendly. There were no dog areas and no grass at all. We also experienced some spottiness with Wi-Fi though we appreciated it being available. Lastly and most importantly, the RV park is set very far back from the lake. From where we camped, it was about 1.5 miles to the lake edge with a swim beach - about half this if you cut across to the boat launch but there is no swimming or fishing area. If you are in a motorhome with no tow vehicle and don't tow a golf cart or something similar, you should definitely avoid this park. We had set up a reservation for 8 nights and left after 2. Fortunately, they do have a 24 hour cancellation policy, so we only paid for 3 nights total. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Like most parks in the SW the roads and sites were gravel, and there were a few trees in the park. Since there are not many parks to choose from here, the price was good but many sites are not level. The Wi-Fi was down and the office staff didn't care, stating that it wasn't their problem. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Our experience at this campground was generally positive. Our site was level, graveled, with one tree (this is Arizona). The restrooms were clean and the place was quiet on Memorial Day Weekend (not a small feat). As others have experienced, they totally screwed up our reservation, claiming when we got there that the site we reserved as available, when indeed it was not. Once they drove us over in their golf cart to assure us that the site was free (when it wasn't), they quickly came up with an alternate site. This place does not have the view or ambiance of Waeweep, which is twice the price, but with gas at $4 per gallon, we couldn't afford the latter. And I should note that Page-Lake Powell was full all 3 nights we were there, while Waeweep was at best 1/3rd full for Memorial Day Weekend. This is not a bad place to stay. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
The park is poorly maintained. If you are towing, you have to disconnect because the sites are only about 40' long. The sites are all VERY unlevel as the park slopes and they did not account for that when setting them up. The roads are only one vehicle wide so hooking up again is a problem. There were a lot of "permanent" RV's and the people did not seem particularly friendly. We saw someone walking (and struggling) with a massive Pit Bull... something we found disconcerting. On the plus side, the sites are very wide, the water pressure and voltage are both good, and cable is available. If you want satellite access, you need to request it, then check the site, as the first place we were sent had a tree in the way, which the person at the desk seemedto be unaware of. The facilities overall are good but the ambience is poor. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The office was closed when we arrived, but we had a campsite, so we just pulled in. We didn't have the key code to the bathrooms, but a fellow camper knew it and gave it to us. Paved sites. There's a convenience store/gas station a short walk away. The utilities worked fine. The indoor pool was closed for renovations. Overall a decent place, not particularly scenic. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a wonderful setting with amazing views-- at least from space C 25. No fancy amenities-pools or cable TV and the WI-FI is iffy at best but the location is outstanding. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Paid the monthly rate, electricity over $35 is extra. Park was clean, quiet and fairly scenic. If you are a monthly, you go thru a background check with local police. I found this reassuring from a safety standpoint, but of course day campers do not do this. This is about the only place to stay unless you pay a much higher rate at Wahweap or dry camp in the desert. Sites are fairly large. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This park provides a safe clean place to park with excellent access to Glen Canyon Dam, Antelope Canyon. Amenities are sparse but the park was clean and the management was friendly and easy to get along with. They did say that the owners aren't in any big hurry to fix the wifi which is a drag but what can you do. Sites are not nearly level enough for big rigs. The men's room was locked with a padlock during our entire three day stay. The one closer to the registration office was open. On the whole, I'd stay here again if I was just passing through. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Park a little run down. Gravel sites. Friendly folks in the office when they were there. We'll try staying at Wahweap next time. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This park was clean, staff is friendly and the sites are mostly level. Convenient to Lake Powell and Glen Canyon Dam. Would stay here again if in the area. *NOTE* They do NOT have wireless internet as stated. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Very nice park with large sites and concrete pads with lots of room between sites. Everything is very clean with beautiful views. Watch your pets because there isn't much of a place to walk them except on the concrete unless you want them to get stickers because there is a lot of plants with large stickers in the dirt area. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We stayed here two different times, once outbound and once inbound. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Park is somewhat spartan but clean and has good sites and easily accessible. No grass and gravel sites. Roads are paved. Overall a good value in my opinion. Summer rates may be higher due to proximity to Lake Powell. Unless boating or sightseeing in the area, would not want to spend a lot of time there but it is a good stopping point. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We spent a week at this centrally located park. Very pleasant, with plenty of areas just outside the park to walk our dog. Friendly staff, with a small store. Good cell phone service (Verizon). We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
I believe that the previous reviewers did this CG an injustice. I found the staff cheerful and friendly, and especially knowledgeable about Lake Powell fishing which I took advantage of. The park is clean and the staff diligent. They started early in the morning and kept working all day. Our site offered some shade, but then it is the desert and allowances must be made for that. It is difficult and expensive to cultivate large shade trees in this environment as is lush green grass. The park is clean and quiet. It does not offer a lot of activities, but the surrounding area should be enough to keep most people entertained for several days. See the lake, visit it's beaches, take either/both water or land tours available. We thoroughly enjoyed the 5 days we stayed here. Stayed entertained, and relaxed as we desired without interruption. We will stay here again in the future as we have family in the area and enjoyed the time we spent here. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
If Wahweap is full, this is the only game in town, and they know it. The park itself is actually OK, it's in the desert in Arizona, so no grass and very sparse trees. The sites are wide and all gravel. The attendant must be related to the owners, as he is a 'dude' who is more concerned with his social life than pleasing the guests. There are a lot of foreign guests here, and he runs out of patience rather quickly and is a bit short with them if they don't immediately understand. The first night we got there he closed the pool several hours early so he could go out on the lake with his friends, leaving the whole camp sweltering in 110 degree heat with no way to cool down. The bathrooms are locked at strange hours with no explanation as to why. All in all, you're on your own at this park, as the staff can't be counted on for anything. Page needs another park desperately, as even a halfway decent one with caring management would put this one out of business rather quickly. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
We had a reservation at this campground and called ahead while still on the road to confirm. They gave us our site number and told us they would close at 6:00 pm for "inventory". Note, this is the Friday night of the 4th of July holiday weekend. Normally a busy night for campgrounds. When we got there, we went to the site that we were assigned and there was someone in it. I was glad too, because the coaches in the sites in that section were almost touching with slides out. I found this interesting since I had asked them when we had called in earlier that day if the site was wide enough to accommodate our slideouts without touching people on either side and his answer to that question was very vague. Went to the office and knocked on the door because we could see people in there. They wouldn't answer the door - yelled at us through the window and told us they were closed for inventory. We yelled through the window that the site they had assigned us had someone in it. They finally opened the door and a man pointed to a couple of empty sites and told us to take our pick. These were bigger sites and we took the one we wanted. Our neighbor in the site next to us was as dumbfounded as we were that they were closed at the kick off of the holiday weekend. Neither one of us could figure out what they were "counting" in this "inventory". Campers continued to stream in that evening and all of them found the office locked. It was quite bizarre. People were walking around the campground trying to find sites. Others with reservations like us were taking any site they could find. So, people would arrive and find other rigs in their assigned sites just as we had. Still, the door remained locked and the "inventory" continued. When I went in to the office to pay the next morning, there was a man in there who had been assigned the same site we had been assigned and had arrived as we did to find that site taken. No control here - only chaos. Still don't know what they were counting. It could actually be a decent park if they had a manager who knew how to manage because the accommodations are OK. The sites we ended up in were big. Not much shade and everything is gravel but OK for a stop over. They have a pool and a small store - that has just recently been inventoried! Don't bother making reservations. Not much point in that. I might stay here again if I was in the area and needed a place to park other than the Walmart. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This park is too nice! Because they provide paved roads and wide, paved sites with full hookups, the price is a little steep. The Wi-Fi didn't work very well on the night that we were there. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This CG all seems to be very new. The desert landscaping is great. View of the lake. Lots of space between the RV's. Spotless bathrooms. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This RV park is awesome! We camped in C loop and it had a large cement pad with room for extra cars, boat trailer, etc., and a gorgeous panoramic view! Attractive desert landscaping throughout the park. We requested a C loop site after staying in D loop for a few nights with a partial lake view (which was still very nice) and they worked with us to move us here when the current campers vacated. The people at the office were helpful and courteous. The park is clean and very well maintained. Bathrooms are easily accessible and clean--in fact I've never seen such a high ratio of bathrooms for the number of spots. Spaces are spread out nicely with plenty of room for big rigs and easy to maneuver in the park. I wish more parks had their act together like this one. We will be back! We camped here in a Motorhome.
Compared to the old park at Lake Powell this place rates a twenty. Great roads, great cement pads, great access in and out and spectacular views of the lake. Wireless was solid, water pressure a bit high but plenty of volume even through the regulator. The sewer connection is elevated so you need to compensate for the cement curb or you might get a mess like our neighbors did. The pull through sites are long to allow for rigs with boat trailers. Nice tables and BBQs at each site. Same old lack of signage problems though. You would think that a Federal park would have the common sense to have clear (or any) signage. Not the park's fault but it is irritating to say the least. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Park was very nice with great views of the lake. Nice and clean facilities. We stayed mid week and after the busy season and almost had the place to ourselves. Its a pretty good walk to the lake and to the resort if you want to use the pool but lake was closer if you wanted to take cooling dip. Didn't have any problems finding the place as others stated but asked the park ranger when we paid our entrance into the park. We will definitely come back here and stay longer. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Beautiful views at this RV park. The cleanest and most spacious of all the ones visited so we had a lovely stay. On arrival we were told that the pool and jacuzzi at the nearby Lake Powell Resort was available to us although we didn't get a chance to use it. Some boat rentals available,a little pricey but worth it to make the most of the lake. We would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The facility was beautiful and the views were spectacular. We were shocked to have to pay $2.00 in quarters for a 5-minute shower. Terribly inconvenient. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Wi-Fi poor. Staff said it was the wind. Showers cost $2 to use. Items in store were really price gouging. For the money, this is a rip off. You must pay a $15 park entry fee on top of the camp fee. Total for one night $68. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
No shade at all. Far from all toilets. There was only showers by main building. Nothing to do at all - no playgrounds, no pool, no entertainment.. NOTHING. This campground does not fit the price. When booking I had a hard time getting anyone to answer any questions. They simply didn't reply to my emails. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The only reason I gave it a 8 instead of a 9 is that the showers are at the store. Second, with side by side hook-ups on the pull-thru sites, you and your neighbor have to cooperate on how you park so the uphill person has a view and then you may have to share a sewer outlet unless you have a 50 foot hose. Other than that it is great place to stay. The staff is great the lake is beautiful. The tours are wonderful and it is centrally located. We will camp here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Not too crowded when we were there, so the views were even better- lovely scenery. Site was level, good hookups in our pull-thru. Some walking to the store, but bathrooms close by. Not much doing in the area other than sightseeing, but that was plenty! Can take Lake Powell cruises from the nearby large motel facility (which also has restaurant/lounge, etc.)- a fair walk or short drive. The only real negative was that local "youth" came to the empty site across the street in the evening and built a large fire in the fire pit and drank beer and partied until around midnight. No patrol came thru, no phone service (and who to call in these days of "self-service" at the parks). Would have rated higher except for that. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
A very nice new campground with spacious sites that don't have your neighbors on top of you. Beautiful facilities. Level concrete site with fire pits. Great view down to the lake. We would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Absolutely beautiful campground. Stayed on loop B with nice view of the lake. Concrete pad was level. If you have two rigs with slides on the utility side things are close. On the door side there is a fire pit and picnic table. One of the cleanest campgrounds we've ever stayed at. Stayed here 5 days using it as a base camp for hiking. Wi-Fi was a bit flaky one day. Plenty of space to run the dogs in the closed loops. Employees of ARAMARK, the concessionaire, were unable to answer simple questions about the area. Don't know if it was the usual Navajo attitude of easier to say, "don't know" rather than answer a question or if it was a lack of knowledge base. Suspect the former. Took an all day tour of Lake Powell to Rainbow Bridge. $150 price was out of line considering lunch was a white bun with lunch meat and cheese. No veggies. Boat was tired. Captain knew his stuff. Great campground for the off season. Wouldn't come near it during high season. The place must be a zoo. Will be back. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Sites had lots of space between sites with excellent views of the lake. (We camped in Loop A.) GREAT Wi-Fi. We kept here with 3 Samoyeds (medium sized dogs) and two cats. Large jack rabbits were fun to watch. Very quiet. Nice store with bottled water, beer, wine, lots of Lake Powell nick-knacks. Very friendly staff. Would definitely stay here again. Campground is not well marked. Take North Wahweap entrance. We camped here in a Motorhome.
A rating of "10" for the lake view and park cleanliness. A much lower rating for the setup in Loop D. We had site #45 and our neighbor at site #46. The driver side of both rigs was less than 4 feet apart. So, we were looking into the cockpit of our neighbor. There is plenty of space for slides. Pricey at $43 a night. We camped here in a Motorhome.
If you want to camp with a view of the lake, this is the place for you. The staff was very nice and made all our arrangements for a boat tour. The laundry was nice and not very expensive. The Wi-Fi worked about 75% of the time. No phone service much. No TV without a satellite (they do not have cable). Very large, level, cement pads and a nice amount of space between the sites. You have to pay for your showers, $2 for 15 minutes, and I thought that was a little much considering this is not a cheap place to stay. But it is AZ, after all. A mixed bag, but I would stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Wi-Fi is good. Fire rings and charcoal grills and picnic tables at every site. I recommend Loop D. All pull throughs. Nice place. Will stay again when in the area. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This campground is within the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, overseen by the National Park Service (with associated access fees just to get into the area). Many of the services in the NRA are outsourced to Aramark, including the campground. The sites are exceptionally good, with all paved interior roads and large concrete pads. Each site has a fire ring and a charcoal grill. The campground is located up the hill from the boat launch area and lake, and the views are great. Loop D is the newest section and the trees between sites will take many more years to mature, but do provide some shade. Sites are a mix of back-ins (along the outside of the loop) and pull-thrus in the middle. All sites are angled nicely to the roads, and access is smooth and easy. Pull-thrus are side-by-side facing opposite directions, but don’t share pedestals (there are separate hookups on each end of the island between rigs. The sites are quite wide although “patio” areas (all fine gravel) are shared in the pull-thrus as well. Request a site facing north if you want afternoon shade on the patio. The park is more expensive than the one in town, so you need to carefully assess the benefits of the location and amenities. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The park is actually inside the national park, so you pay a weekly usage fee to get in. We followed the advise on RV Park Reviews and asked for a site in Loop C. This was a good choice because the location was beautiful. Try to get an outside space. We had the desert canyon behind us and a great view of the lake. The sites are large, level concrete with picnic table, fire ring, and BBQ. From Loop C you have a long walk down (and back up) the hill to the office/restrooms. The restroom/shower is new and very nice. You have to pay $2 for the showers but you don' t have to rush because they keep going for a very long time. The lake is just a short walk further down (and up) from the office/restroom area. There is a great beach. They offer a shuttle into town and to the dam. We didn't visit the marina or the hotel, but you can use the pool at the hotel. We plan on coming back for a longer visit. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We traveled to this campground as part of our RV travel club. While in the desert, the older campsite loops have maturing trees that gave us afternoon shade. The spaces are very large and the distance between spaces gives you a very private feel. We had dinner in the nearby restaurant (operated by the same people) and found the food very good. There is a convenience store onsite. The showers are a coin operated ($2 for 15 min) and located at the RV Park Office. The campsites are divided into loops. Loop D in the newest with the least mature trees. We camped in Loop C space 9 and found it very nice. WiFi is only available in the Motel lobby. We will return to this campground again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
What a beautiful campground! It is clean, well designed, has beautiful views of Lake Powell, and has wonderful sites. You are allowed to use the pool and jacuzzi at the Lake Powell Resort or you may use the swim beach. A paved walking trail is available and all the roads are paved. There is a terrific campground store with just about everything you will need. You can rent just about any kind of watercraft (a little pricey though) or you can take boat tours of Lake Powell. The entire area is absolutely beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We are in loop C with desert behind us and a beautiful view of Lake Powell in front of us. The sites are large with level paved pads. We have a picnic table, fire pit, and a charcoal grill. Showers are down the hill and cost $2. The pool is at the lodge about 1/4 mile away. We swam at the larger pool with hot tub and pool bar--just like a resort pool! The free internet works fine. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We stayed in the "C" Loop and it was a great site with a very nice view. While we agree with much of what others have said, we rate this campground somewhat lower because: 1) the rate was quite high in our opinion for a site that does not offer cable, wifi and that has $2 pay showers, 2) the stickers from the tumbleweeds sorely afflict a dog's paws. Several dog owners we met while walking complained of the absence of a dog run or location that didn't hurt the animals' feet. Overall our feeling is that this concession-run operation is a bit over priced despite its excellent location and views. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
First of all, there is NO Upper Wahweap Campground. There is only ONE campground at Wahweap. There appears to be a mobile home park for employees higher up on the hill. It could have been an upper campground in previous years. Wahweap has loops for full hookups, and loops for no hookups. The first site, a pull through, they put us into, B1, was too sharp of a turn for a big 5th wheel. We damaged our refrigerator vent (our fault). To avoid that would have meant backing back out or driving off a 6 inch ledge. The back in sites were much easier to negotiate! And many of them are double wide. The views are fantastic! The bathrooms were great. The Wi-Fi was awful, as throughput is faster on a cell phone. At $43 it is the most expensive campground that we ever stayed at. Sites without hookups are $19. After two nights we moved 5 miles up the lake to Lone Rock where you get random dry camping on the beach for $10. A lower price would have gotten a higher rating. Without the views the rating would have been lower. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Spectacular! This a great experience. We were in Loop A, "turnout" style pull thru. Curbside faces Lake Powell; awesome views. Good power (steady at 122v) and water pressure. Wi-Fi works, a little spotty though. Lots of activities here. Gets a point deducted because they made an error with our reservation and overcharged us, and the site was not as clean as it should have been; many cigarette butts in the fire ring, as well as some trash. If you do take part in the resort activities, or even venture out for a meal or a cocktail, plan on spending 25% percent more than listed prices; there are hidden "taxes" in everything. But don't let that sway you from this fantastic place. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We would rate this high for the area. All concrete pads, with nice new aluminum picnic tables, fire pit, charcoal permanent grill, stone and rock landscaped sites. Very neat and clean with top notch hook ups in a recreation area. If you want TV, good luck unless you have your own equipment. We pulled in ONE TV station (PBS) and the bartender told us that is probably one more than other people. Wi-Fi did work, but it was 'iffy' on some days, just keep hitting your connect button. We would definitely stay here again. Oh, the other draw back is the showers are located down by the Camp Store and it is $2.00 for 15 minutes of water. There is no upper and lower campgrounds as mentioned in other readings, it is all loops now, we stayed in the D-Loop and it was a ways away from the showers for convenience. The scenery was gorgeous and you couldn't ask for any better. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Great location right next to Lake Powell. We were on the D ring which is the newest area. Nice level concrete pads with full hookups, but no Wi-fi. Great views of the lake. Other areas of park are asphalt, and seem to be fairly level. Most have some view of the lake. Never could get the Wi-fi to work, even when I went outside next to the antenna. About a 10 minute walk to the hotel (resort), where the tour boats leave. The lake is down 100 feet, but they expect it come up 50 feet with the spring runoff. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This park is located inside the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area. A contractor, Aramark, runs the campground and concessions. We were in Loop C and had a gorgeous view of Lake Powell and the surrounding rock formations. The campground appears fairly new and is terraced so everyone has a view. We had a pull-thru site which was plenty long and wide. The sites are also situated so you are not right next to anyone. The sites are paved and level. WI-FI is free. There is no cable TV. I would say this is the best visual park I have ever stayed in. I would love to come back. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Great RV Park. There are 4 loops with full hook ups and not a bad site among them. WiFi varies by site. The closer to the bathrooms the better for a signal. Sites are both wide and deep. There isn't a "lower" and "Upper" campground any longer for the RV Park portion. Wonderful views of Lake Powell and the surrounding mountains. This area is run by the NPS, so if you don't have a park pass, add $15 for entering the area for one week. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Outstanding facility for a "Big Rig." We stayed in the newer "D Loop" and it had wide paved roads and huge concrete pads. A wonderful view of the distant bluffs and of the marina area of Lake Powell. This place is super ! We camped here in a Motorhome.
We also stayed in the "D" loop with a pull-thru. It is all concrete and level. There are back-in sites around the outer edge of the loop. It was very clean and the staff was really helpful and even let me check in early. Be careful of the time changes. They were on the day light savings time and were an hour earlier than the mountain time. We walked to the lake which was really quite a distance. It didn't look like it. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Brand new campground with concrete pads and grass areas next to sites. Great views of the lake from most sites. Check electricity at your site before un-hooking your RV as they have had problems with their 30 amp service in this area. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
We stayed here for a week and we love it. Very clean park with nice concrete pads. We stayed in D Loop which is the newest with new concrete and picnic tables and grills. Trash and restrooms are very handy. Excellent cell phone and wireless Internet as well as satellite (Alltel) service for computer. We had a lakeview on both sides of motorhome that was gorgeous. Staff at resort was helpful and friendly. As we are towing a motorcycle on trailer as only means of transportation, the RV shuttle was very handy for taking us into town to play golf. Page has the Lake Powell National golf course which is a great course with beautiful vista views of Lake Powell and the dam. We stayed here with easy day trips to North Rim of Grand Canyon, Zion and Bryce Canyon. Resort extends all privileges to RV guest just like the lodge guest. Nice pool, hot tub and great pizza. I only have one negative comment about the RV park. In D Loop which is all pull throughs, the RV sites alternate the direction they face, thus saving space. If in D Loop, make sure you are facing the lake which is North. This puts your awning side facing East for the afternoon sun. Saw many people set up facing South with awning side facing West. Since campground was not full, it didn't take them long to wise up and switch sites. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We were in the "D" ring and it was really nice. Wide pads and plenty of room with great views. The pool is at the hotel which is not within walking distance for small children and there is no playground that I saw. Keep that in mind if you have kids. With cable and wi fi, this is definitely a "10". Found out, on our last day there, that you can dry camp right on the beach about 4 miles to the west. It's an easy drive to get down there and the ground is very firm until you are right at the beach. You could literally, walk out of the coach and be 4 steps from the water. That's the ticket for me the next time I'm out there. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Very impressed with the cleanliness of the park, along with the views of Lake Powell. Some pull through sites available. Fire pits and picnic tables at all sites. I rate our experience a 10 out of 10. While no wifi is available in the park, it is available in the nearby Wahweap Lodge. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Nice, new clean facility inside the national park. If you don't have national park card, it will cost you $12 to enter the park. From the gate it is about 5 miles to the campground. Big, level, concrete spaces with full hookups (including cable). WIFI is free and available at the nearby hotel. Pool and spa are there as well. Bathrooms clean and new. Didn't use the showers, but I read they charge $2.00 for 15 minutes. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This review relates to the newer Wahweap CG near Stateline. It is being expanded. All sites are spacious, paved and level with a fire-pit. All have a view of Lake Powell and are within walking distance of the marina, lodge, etc. The only negative is that the office staff never leaves the office. As a consequence park rules about dogs running loose and maximum party size/site are freely ignored. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We thought it was not that great for the price. No computer or cell phone access and no tv. But you were very limited on where you could stay in this area. We had a National Parks Pass and thought it would be 1/2 price but not at this park. The golf at Lake Powell National did make it a worthwhile stop. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Liked this park and its setting very much. Sites have view of Lake Powell and have nice desert landscaping. Buildings are new and modern. Big rig access is no problem. However, there is no wi-fi or cell-phone service at or near the campground and no cable TV. Had to drive to location nearer to Page to make cell-phone calls. You will have to pay to enter Lake Powell National Recreation area at a kiosk before travelling a few miles to the campground office for check-in. Campground office closes at 6pm so plan to arrive before then. We were there in early May and the park was very quiet. Recommended. Finally, pay attention to speed-limit signs when crossing Glen Canyon dam not far from park entrance. Police often have car checking speeds of vehicles crossing dam. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We loved this campground. Right on Lake Powell with many sites having a lake view. Lots of room between your neighbors. Easy access even for our 45' Prevost. If you like to fish you can walk to the lake easily, or rent a boat close by. Highly recommended. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a great park off-season after the jet ski and party boat crowd take their kids and head home for the school year. Well-maintained with large, level paved sites. Very nice desert landscaping. This would be a 10 if they had better communications (cell service and/or Wi-Fi) and the staff were a bit more friendly. Rather a governmental attitude but not surprising since Aramark is a huge government concessionnaire. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Huge backin sites. Pull thrus are side to side hookup. Loop C would be the choice. Accepts reservations but not for specfic sites. Very well kept and has security. Very peaceful and scenic. Only reason for no giving a "10" is lack of phones and cell service is not good. Page, Arizona is about 5 miles south. Will use again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Wahweap Campground is NOT the same as Wahweap RV Park. The Campground has much more spacious sites and better view and location, but less trees. The campground allows campfires, whereas the RV park does not. Wahweap Campground is about the nicest place we've ever stayed at. The lowest numbered pull-thrus have killer views, good privacy, and lots of space. We camped here in a Motorhome.
