We stayed here on a Friday in mid-October. All sites are pull-through with some 50 AMP, some 30 AMP: some FHU, some W&E; and some tent sites. We had a FHU, 30 AMP pull-through. Our site was satellite friendly but not all are. I agree with two reviewers from earlier this years who raved about the landscaping at this park. I also agree that this is a good option for those who don't want to overnight in the typical park in this area that has hundreds of sites. There is a small pool and playground. I think the dog camp is bigger than the playground. My biggest problem was the lack of Wi-Fi at the RV sites. There was a small (6'W by 3'D), half shelter behind the office labeled as a Wi-Fi "Hot Spot". It had just 2 shelves for computers and 2 chairs. This is a fairly small park and it would only take one or two antennas/routers to cover the entire park. I thought the nightly cost was high for a park without cable and poor Wi-Fi service. We camped here in a Motorhome.

What a nice change from the huge RV parks that cover most of Tuscon. This is a small park with mature cactus and succulent plants, and space between sites. The managers were very friendly and accommodating. There is a good restaurant on-site also. We will seek out this park every time we go through Tucson. Note: not open during the hot season. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Long wide sites, gravel but level. Beautiful cactus and large trees at most sites. Pool is clean, restrooms are spotless and the entire campground is well cared for. This park has come a long way from its pre KOA days, and the owners/managers and workampers should be commended. The restaurant is excellent, steaks cooked over a large wood pit outdoors. We look forward to staying here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

A Fabulous RV Resort! I understand Trailer Life just completed a new survey and ratings were 10-10-9.5! That's just about as good as it gets. It is deserved. The scenery, with the mountain above the resort, is spectacular, especially in the evenings, when the sun goes behind The Peak. The Courtyard area includes a pool and spa in a nice setting. There are billiards, horseshoes, shuffleboard for those that like them, as well as other activities. The activities calendar is VERY busy for those that wish to partake. We participated in some activities, and the folks here are some of the nicest we have ever met! We liked this resort so well that we stayed several months this winter. Some previous posters have mentioned road and/or train noise as bothering them, however, we found that to be a non-issue as after a day or two, you don't notice anything unusual...besides, I kind of like watching a train go by. I almost never hear a train whistle. I guess there are no crossings close by. The other issue I saw mentioned by previous posters, was the hard water. We had no problem buying water (5 gal. for a dollar) for coffee and to drink. I have been told that the resort is installing a park-wide Reverse Osmosis and softener system this spring, so they may end up having the best water in Arizona when we come back next winter! All in all, this is the best park we have ever spent a lengthy amount of time in! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This park has potential, but definitely hasn't reached it yet! Looks very nice from the road and upon entry, but our site looked like an unfinished gravel driveway. The night time noise is unbelievable! It was a constant barrage of train noise and trucks on-the-freeway noise. ALL NIGHT! We had thought we might spend 2 nights in the area in order to hike Picacho Peak, but after a night of virtually no sleep at all, we decided to just head into Yuma. Granted, this is a new resort so there's still work to be done (clearly!). But they should avoid sticking people on the hill until that area is completed. And after our experience, I swear noise rises! Also, there is absolutely nothing nearby, except a fast food restaurant / service station. Nearest groceries are about 15 miles, and according to a resort employee, the store there is not worth going to. That leaves you with a 30+ mile drive to get groceries! I have to say, I would NOT recommend this park! There's a lovely State campground about 3 miles away: no idea if there are hookups, but unless you plan on spending days, it shouldn't matter. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Beautiful, well maintained park, with great scenic view, paved roads, and concrete patios. Stayed here overnight, but would like to come back for a longer stay. Utility hookups were in the back, and the sewer hookup was a stretch for our 5th wheel. Somewhat isolated, but that is part of the attraction of the park. Adjacent to the west side of I-10, and the ubiquitous railroad track, but the noise didn't bother us much. The only negative aspect was not being able to drink the water right from the tap due to high chemical content. OK for bathing, brushing teeth, etc. Purified water for drinking can be purchased for 5 cents per gallon, so we didn't consider this to be a big issue. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This campground is right off interstate 10 between Tucson and Phoenix. You can see the 1,500 foot Picacho Peak from miles away. There are trails to hike that wind up the peak and in the spring you can overlook fields of wildflowers. Settlers heading west used the peak as a landmark traveling between New Mexico and California and later the road for the forty-niners and the Butterfield Overland Stage. This park is known for its landscape, and historical importance. It is the site of AZ's westernmost Civil War Battle. Union soldiers defeated 10 Confederate cavalrymen at this spot. The park was empty when we stayed overnight only about four or five campers per loop and there are three loops. We were in the B loop and had great views. Only one bath house was open but it was clean with hot showers. This is a very popular park for the snowbirds that come down in the winter and leave April 1. It is in a windy area and we were warned driving up interstate 10 to be careful about the desert winds. There is a visitor center with some exhibits and a gift shop. The area is known for its wildlife viewing and bird watching. We had electric but no water and the cost was $25 plus a $5 reservation fee. Very interesting overnight stop! We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park is a great place to visit. It is clean, the bathrooms were spotless, and the views magnificent. It is easy to maneuver with back in and pull through spaces. Great hiking and nature trails for all levels of expertise. One drawback, make sure you bring enough supplies as there is nothing close if you forget something. A great park, been there twice and loved it both times. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

A wonderful desert campground. Excellent views. If it is hot, select a site that will put your preferred side (of your rig) in the shade. Normally that is on the east side of each of the 3 loops. Good antenna TV reception. Our Verizon services worked well. Office staff would not let us enter to select a site but did let us change from the site they initially assigned to us. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
