Passport America Park: stayed for one night. Very nice camp hosts showed me the site which was a short walk from the office. Ours was the only transient with the others being long-time permanent residents although most kept their units neat and clean. Park is all gravel making it less pet friendly, but fine for an overnight stay which was our plan. I didn't even unhook the TOAD. Would stay again if in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Stopped here on our way from Needles to Tucson. Came in from the north so had no problem at the road turn with our 40' fiver. No problem at the entrance to the park either. Quick check in, very large pull through lot: ON1. One small problem is that it's next to the "burning pile" and they were burning trash when we got here. A bit on the smoky side but within 1/2 hour they were done and the smoke was gone. There's not much around but Quartzsite is about 25 miles away. We would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Located between the waste dump and cattle dairy, the smell here was intolerable!! If you can put up with the smell, the lot size is huge, and has nice owners. No trees to speak of, very dusty. Will not stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We stayed overnight. The turn off Hwy 60 is a narrow driveway to a dirt road. Slowing down from posted limit helps locate the turn. Checkin was easy and quick even though we arrived (with a reservation) a bit after closing. Owner was really friendly and helpful. Park was full during winter season so best call ahead. Even full, the park was quiet and restful. Park is gravel. Our backin site had plenty of maneuvering room. Utilities are at the back of the site so be sure you have enough to reach about 10 feet behind your rig. Cable TV and WiFi worked well and included at no charge. Owner let us know when we were hooking up that park now uses Reverse Osmosis to treat their well water supply. This water tastes fine. Rated 8 of 10 as park has all the comfort basics and none of the extra cost amenities. We would stay here again for a longer stay. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We only needed a place to stop overnight and this park was along side our travel route. A very basic little Arizona desert RV park. The entrance from the highway is quite narrow for a big rig so be prepared to swing wide to get a straight approach. The actual entrance to the park also is a little narrow, but shorter rigs should not have a problem. I could not get the Wi-Fi to work with the code given to me, so can not comment on speed. My Verizon aircard worked OK though. A long, wide pull through, good 50 amp power and low water pressure. The water was claimed to be reverse osmosis which may have been the reason for the low pressure. PPA rate, but an additional five dollar "deposit" for electric use which was a slight surprise when registering. We would use this park again for an overnight stay. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Small mom 'n pop operation. Park is far closer to Brenda than Salome. Few frills or glitz, just pretty functional. Improvement are happening 7 days a week. They are very friendly and accommodating. Power, water and Wi-Fi are well setup. Cable TV works well, but has fairly limited channel section, due to the cable co, the other nearby parks have no better selection. Many 4 wheeler trails surround the park, maps are available at the office, they lead groups 4 wheeling to the abandoned mines, rock piles and other desert thing to do. LaPaz county is 78% BLM land. They have a space to work on your rig if need be and sometimes lend tools. Our traveling companions and us traded rigs while here. The tires were low on both, manager brought a portable compressor right to our site. After trading my MH for a 5ver, I could not tow my pickup and 4wheeler, so they stored it right next to their house 'til I got back to pick it up. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This campground is a small isolated campground. WiFi and cable are great. Bathrooms are clean. Lot's of desert to run the dog. Owners are very friendly. Laundry room is old, but clean. This is not a fancy resort. It's a comfortable place to stay. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
We stayed for a week and were very pleased with the park. There are several year round residents with clean well manicured lots. We were here out of season so there was no entertainment such as Bingo, card nights, dances, etc. but that was fine with us. There is a convenience store a few hundred yards from the camp, major shopping must be done in Quartzsite about 20 minutes away. We would not hesitate to come back. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Pull throughs are long and narrow. New owners seem to be cleaning and maintaining the park. Lack of over-the-air or cable TV is a negative. Court is small and friendly. Laundry room is clean, and the units work. The $105 per week including the adequate WiFi is a fair price for the facilities. Biggest plus is that you can ride your quad from the gate in any direction and immediately be on many challenging mountain trails (unmarked) with grand views and many mines to look at. Only a small amount of noise from the highway and the trains. I would stay here again; it was fun. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
A nice little park with 50 or so spaces, clean restrooms and showers. An older park but well kept, fruit trees and shade trees, lot's of walking trails and ATV trails, ATV friendly park also. NEW OWNERS. Really nice and friendly folks. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Good park for the money. Great walking trails in the desert. The manager allowed us to pick fruit while we were here. Our Verizon internet works well here. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
We spent one night here and found the park to be very friendly and well maintained. Owner was extremely helpful. Plenty of room for easy maneuvering. Wi-Fi was excellent and a bargain at a cost of only $1.00 per day. Will return to this little park again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
An excellent smaller park. Many shade trees and also many citrus trees for campers to pick their own oranges, grapefruit and more. Owner is very helpful and easy to get along with. Fellow snowbird campers very friendly. Good musicians and planned activities. Clean buildings and well maintained grounds. This park rates five stars with us! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
The owner seems friendly, But the Wi-Fi is terrible, and the water pressure is set so low that the washing machines don't even fill up! The price is fair IF the problems are fixed, but I recommend you pass for now. Barking dogs are also a problem. Be careful of the business owners in Salome! Some are real rip off artists. We camped here in a Motorhome.
A very nice little park, beautiful desert to walk, bike or take your dog, very pleasant owners, nice clean and well kept. It is not a big RV resort, but the price of 175.00 per month is very well worth it. A good base camp to explore Arizona, with several pull through sites for big rigs, lot of activities, weekly card games, potlucks, Halloween, Christmas and New Years activities. It is just an all around pleasant place. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Desert Gem has a new owner and he is improving the park. This is a smaller park and has a special charm. Happy Camper and Passport America members are accepted, and they have a cash discount that is substantial, 50%. Good clean restrooms and showers. Quiet and secure. Adult park. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Old park, only one shower and one toilet for women, same for men. Lots of older permanent rigs. Friendly folks, frequent organized meals, games, events. Tight spaces. No telephone available. Cell signal poor. They have some fenced spaces for some of their permanent residents with ever present barking dogs. Gorgeous desert surroundings. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This quiet, dust free, away from the highway, RV Resort no longer has a viable green 18-hole golf course. The course was abandon three years ago. The exercise room is gone, as well. I wasn't set on playing golf, and it was an enjoyable place to stay for a week. The paved access roads are plenty wide, and the back-in top-notch gravel sites are spacious. Some are adjacent to a 9-Hole short course green zone. A few park models are mixed-in with the level sites. Tengo Wi-Fi is offered for a fee. Verizon 3G works great since there is a tower across the main road. The place was less than half full for February. Perhaps the odd trash rules, guest are required to uncover the pool if they want to swim (not an easy task), the pet policy, and lack of upkeep is driving snow birders elsewhere. Just the same I enjoyed the extra space during my stay. Plenty of adjacent trails to trail bike and hike. I am not sure if I will return. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Nice, quiet park, away from road noise, but 3 pages of rules and regs. Really? It does have great views of the surrounding mountains and golf course, but only a limited area to walk dogs in the park. (There are sand sidewalks outside the park.) If you've been holding your recyclables on your trip, this is the place to go: they recycle just about everything. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
A nice quiet park but no person is in the office most of the time. They don't tell you where the trash is to be put. We would stay there again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
When we arrived at this park, we were very impressed with its setting, the golf course adds so much beauty and green to the desert setting. There are blooming cactus, the grounds are immaculate, the sites are large and the residents friendly. There are many trees with some providing shade to the RV sites. Our excitement lasted long enough to read the pet policy. If you have a pet, you are restricted to sites in the most undesirable section of the park, away from the clubhouse/pool complex, and away from the pitch and putt and the golf course, and backing up to the noisy streets. We won't return. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Our initial contact by phone to verify Passport America rates was fine although there was no mention that there must be reservation placed to receive the rate. As we don't like to give credit card details by phone we arrived to be told because we had not booked, the Passport rate would not apply. The Manager finally agreed to honor the rate after some discussion, although I was made to feel very awkward from the time I arrived. If Campgrounds are hesitant applying discounts to campers I wish they would not participate in these types of programs. All we want to do is enjoy our vacation thanks! The park also is not very pet friendly as the manager suggested we walk our dog out the front gate and across the road, which suggested we had his permission to use the rest of Arizona if we so wished! Thanks mate! The cable TV is only available in the clubhouse which meant that watching local channels was like watching snow fall in your RV. Positive points are that the golf course adjacent was cute with regular golfers making you very welcome, the clubhouse and pool area was fine and well utilized. The WiFi was available at a cost. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Very pretty park in desert setting. 9 hole pitch and putt golf course with RV sites right next to golf. Sites are very large and level and well maintained. Rec. hall with pool tables etc. Pool area very nice with heated pool. Not much to the town, nearest good size town about 50 miles. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Rate is for RPI members. Very nice park. Huge wide gravel sites, completely level. Friendly helpful office staff. One hour per day of free Wi-Fi. Verizon 3G worked fine. About a half hour to Quartzsite. This seemed like one of the nicer parks in the area, and way less crowded than Quartzsite this time of year. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This park is in the desert, and there are two stores close by, Family Dollar and a Korean general store. Management is very good, and during season every Monday there is a pot luck; the entertainment is at the church in Hope which is about 2 miles from park. The sites are all gravel with no shade, exceedingly hot in the summer, May through October. WIFI is good, and the pool and spa are a welcome respite from the daily grind of camping. The downside is most of the people that come here are ATV'rs, and they hang together, but most are friendly and helpful. This is our third year here, and we will be coming back next year. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
First time to this park. It is cosmetically ugly. Big,level gravel sites. A few orange trees in what looks like the original part of the park. These sites are small and are good for a pull trailer or a camper. 50 amp available at extra charge. Water was OK, we did put our filter on the connection. Some activities. There are a handful of couples here for the winter. At first they were very friendly, but after the inital greeting they were not. Planned activities on their own (water aerobics, potlucks) The campground was only 1/8 full when we were here so we really felt like outsiders as there wasn't any other short timers here. They all had ATV's, went on daily rides but never invited us even though we did camp here with quads. Very ATV friendly with lots of trails that are accessed right from the campground. Pool area was nice. Folks who work here do a great job of keeping the place clean. Place is out in the middle of nowhere, small market about 2 miles away with gas. A veggie stand is in town 2-3 days a week with fresh veggies and fruit. Close to Quartzsite. We found other campgrounds along Hwy 60 that were much nicer (trees) so we probably would not come back here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We spent a month here so paid a monthly rate plus electric cost. Close to Quartzsite for the RV Show but away from the maddening crowds. Friendly park with some meals and activities available. Very large, level gravel sites. Lots of desert riders with quads. Will probably go back next year. We camped here in a Motorhome.
I apologize to all who would disagree with me, but who wants to stay in a gravel parking lot when there are so many other beautiful choices? I am of the "Old School" where people went to campgrounds to enjoy the scenery and the great outdoors. Not to be herded into a parking lot! The desert is beautiful in winter, but unless you like to 4-wheel, I don't see why people would enjoy themselves at this park. The people at the park were friendly and welcoming and the park is relatively full in winter. It's just that the park is 100% gravel and is enclosed by a chain linked fence. It has no plants nor trees inside other than a few around the office and activity center. Unless you have a site on the edge, there is no view of the desert. The sites are all good sized and there is now Free Wi-Fi. Cell service is good. The drive in is not too bad and the park is quiet. There are no major grocery stores in the area. Planning ahead for meals is recommended. I only stayed one night when I originally planned for three. I don't foresee a reason to come back. Sorry. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We camped here in a 40' 4 slide motorhome using our Resorts Of Distinction membership. Yes, a large parking lot with friendly service people and a quiet area. We enjoyed the mini-golf, pool, hot tub, and friendly area. We would return again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We camped here in a 40' motorhome, using our ROD membership. As stated previously, the park is rock. Sites are large. Activities, meals, library, swimming pool, hot tub, mini-golf available. Personnel are friendly. Thirty-five miles from Quartsite. Other touring sites within driving distances. Great area for ATVs and desert activities. We had 50 amp and full hookups. Shopping is distant. We had cell service utilizing our external cell service - sometimes even without our external antenna. We would return. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We were on our way to Texas, when we stopped by this gem of an RV park. Though our reservations were for only 3 nights, we called the ROD reservation center and asked for an extension of 4 more nights. Good, inexpensive golfing is nearby and it's proximity to Quartzite makes this very attractive. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and fastidious about their park. The "chuckwagon" serves up very good food and inexpensive too. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
A resort in name only - - really a big parking lot. Staff was friendly and they do have activities. However, they had no map of the area, no information on things going on in the area, etc. Also, the only grocery within 50 miles are at little mom and pop facilities. Would have been nice to know ahead of time so we could stock up. Very poor cell service - we joined several others each day driving 4 miles down to Hope to make calls and get online. Lots of geocaches in the area, so there are a few things to do. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is our first year as "snow birds." We carefully researched all the parks in the area for location, price, amenities and so on. We chose this park site unseen and were a little apprehensive about it, but are so happy that we did. We've been here for over a month now and have had the greatest time. The people are great. There are many activities. The park is kept meticulous with large sites and as far as we can see it's the best in the area. There is also an 18 hole golf course and the best ATV'ing you can find with over 300 acres, and then surrounded by BLM land. We had a ton of fun exploring. We've been checking on other parks but have yet to find another that surpasses Ramblin Roads. So our plan is to come back next year but to stay longer. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Very nice park. Friendly staff, very clean and well run. Wi-Fi very poor and frustrating. Off more than on. We stayed here for a month. I would stay here again for a day or two. I would not stay here again long term until I was assured their Wi-Fi worked most of the time. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Since we were here only over night, we did not get to experience everything the park might have to offer. However, the park is well maintained, the office friendly, and the pull throughs easy to access and wide enough for any RV. The park was full of very friendly snowbirds who made us feel welcome. On the night of our stay we even attended a free musical jam session in the very large, well equipped club house. There are a myriad of activities that take place on an on going basis, and we were sorry our travel plans did not allow us to stay longer. We camped here in a Motorhome.
