Small campground in a small town. Good place to stay overnight. New owners are in the process's of buying the place. Modem hookup at the office. All gravel spots fairly level. Quiet with friendly staff. Two shower rooms very clean. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Hampton is a small town near El Dorado, Fordyce, and Camden, Arkansas. It is not off a major highway, but if you are traveling in that area, it's a nice little campground. While there, we drove to Camden and visited some Civil War sites and went deer hunting. We used it as a base, and were not expecting to "camp" there. (although you could if you wanted BUT,--no picnic tables or fire rings though. We camped there three nights over Thanksgiving, and there were several 5th wheels and Travel Trailers that were there for deer hunting. Deer hunting is a huge sport in this area, this time of year. We felt very comfortable there in our 40' motor home. The owners were very accommodating. We wish there were more of these campgrounds along the roads in America. There are no cabins, pools, rental bicycles etc, but it's a nice place to park, and the price is fair for what you get. They had a very nice laundry room. This is a "no frills" park, but if you get down that way, it's a good place for any type RV. We camped here in a Motorhome.
