If this had sewer hookups and any signal at all, it would be a 10. Be prepared that even our Verizon wouldn't get enough of a signal to make a call. However, the location, though remote, was a great place. Each site is waterfront with a great view. Each campsite has a nice site, plus a tent area. The bath house is large and very clean and appeared new. We didn't use the beach area, but there was a swimming location. We launched our kayak and went around the lake. Get your supplies and gas before arriving IMHO. We would return if in the area and recommend it if you like to fish and don't need to use Verizon. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
The nicest state park we have stayed at. We stayed on site one alongside the lake. Our site was very large, concrete with metal railing at the edge of the site on the water side. A very large metal picnic table was provided with a BBQ grill and a firepit. The site also provided ample parking space for a tow car and had an area for a tent. Staff communication was by phone and very friendly. Rangers were present and extremely friendly and knowledgable. All sites had good green space around them and shaded. We stayed only one night, but we will definitely return when we can stay longer. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a small, new, state park in east central Arkansas. Very private, somewhat isolated, all sites on lake front, with reported good fishing and a swimming area. A wonderful place to just get away and relax. We have gone twice and plan on returning. In spite of the name, the park is not on the Mississippi river. We camped here in a Motorhome.
