Really nice setting, right on the Harrison River. The washrooms are actually outhouses but they were spotless. We were there in November but in peak season this campground fills up pretty fast. I imagine mosquitoes could get nasty there in summer. There is a boat launch right next to the campground. We had no problem getting our 25 footer around the turns in the campsite but if you have a really big rig you might want to investigate before entering. Sites are all level with fire rings. There are two water taps, but we found it easier to fill our holding tank prior to arrival. The little village of Kilby is an easy walk from the campground. The nearest little store is a few kilometers away in Harrison Mills. Overall, beautiful quiet setting with nice river and mountain views, and beachfront camping. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This is a new campground, and my rating of 7 will likely be higher once they finish developing the site. Things like a game room are in the works. We camped during a November cold snap and had the place to ourselves. The host was extremely helpful; he filled our holding tank for us as it was too cold to use city water. Sites are all level but kind of close together. The campground is basically an open meadow but they have planted shade trees. Scenery is amazing, right on the Harrison River. There is a large grassy area, which our border collie loved. The campground is gated with a security code. This should eliminate the out of control partying that occurs at another campground in the area that I won't name here! We liked our stay, and will definitely be back. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
