Beautiful setting, with favored sites backing up to the lake. No services at the site. Water spigots on the road. Despite the description on the park web page, NO SANI-DUMP (Dump station). They closed it two years ago, but have not updated the description. Closest dump north is in MacKenzie at the municipal park, where you can stay at a dry site free for up to three days. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is 77 miles (125km) north of Prince George. It is south of Mackenzie on the west side of Hwy 97. There are only two narrow pullout sites on the side of the road. The rest are backins. Our 40' motorhome fit just fine. It is on McLeod lake which is very large. There is a boat ramp and swim beach. There is a pleasant short trail. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a great place. There is a nice sandy beach. Several of the sites are right on the lake, and the sunsets are lovely. It can get very busy on the long weekends in the summer. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Provincial Park - no hookups. Firewood for sale. Private firepits. Some waterfront sites. Boat launch. Well kept, quiet - lots of trees and seperation from other sites. 1.5 hours north of Prince George on way to Alaska We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
