Pay shower was cold, probably the worst shower I ever had to pay money for.(actually has a note to warn of this) Very tight, even with lots of reversing experience. Couldn't put out awning, had to place our lawn chairs around neighbors sewer connection - no room. No Camp Fires. Grass not kept up - dried up and tracks everywhere. Wasps were a big problem and the picnic tables sucked. The pool was great for the kids. We meant to stop in merely to re-charge and get cleaned up - but were very disappointed considering the price we were charged. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Very tight fit and entertaining to watch others try to get set up. Friendly people who helped us with directions, etc. Quite a ways from town (3 miles) and no good way to get there except by car. Would prefer to stay in town near stores, etc. this little town is very fun, with a tubing area on the canal. Good restaurants and wonderful city park on the lake. Beautiful setting. Kids would like this area/town. Lots to do. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Access into the sites is very tight. Luckily you are guided right into the spot without even getting out of your vehicle. The trees present a problem for slides. Very clean and well kept. Very little traffic noise even though it is beside a busy road. Best park in Penticton. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Sites are a little on the small side but host guides every RV into place. A really nice touch. Hosts are very knowledgeable with every type of rig. If you got a question, Dave has an answer.Really nice fellow. We would always stay at Oxbow when in Penticton. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This campground was clean and well kept, although the sites were a little on the small side. It's a very nice campground compared to the others I've seen in Penticton- none of them seem to be very big here. It's right across the road from the lake, which is nice. They allow pets, but only small lap dogs, so check with them before you show up with Fido. I would stay here again in Penticton. Although the sites aren't very big, it's probably the nicest campground I've seen in Penticton. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is how all RV resorts should be set-up and run. Very clean, organized, safe, great place for kinds, and right across the street from the beach. Oxbox has a large Lilly pond that is frequented by ducks, and other wildlife, so you can be treated to the wonderful sounds of crickets, and frogs even right in the city of Penticton. If you are visiting Penticton you owe it to yourself to at least stop by and check out the park. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.
CGID6466Wonderful Waterworld Tent and Trailer Park
This campsite really takes me by surprise. I was ready to turn around and leave coming from Alberta with big open space campgrounds. The big entertainment was when I enter the site and entertain the other campers with my backing up skills as a rookie campier. Wife say's left trailer goes right. The site was pack with kids, every five minutes you can hear one crying. Quiet at night and gates are locked at 11pm. My kids love it and the staff was courteous and friendly. Management was great, friendly, putting on activities for the kids, water spray fight. Great water slide next to the park but I was told it will be demolished for a future condo project. I will go back if the waterslide is still operational. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
