Camped here in September, so not many kids around, which is good. Nice view of the lake, lots of bird life. The trains run close by but they didn't bother me, people were nice that worked here. Yes I will return again. It's one of the few left that hasn`t sold out to developers and start to ask unbelievable $$$$$ just for a little lot. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The worst park I have ever stayed at. It is absolutely filthy. They rake the old fire ashes into the dirt that makes up each campsite area. My trailer was absolutely filthy after a week here. Bathrooms do not have any soap or paper for hygiene here. As previous entry says trains every 11 minutes. WiFi very poor and the only way to get a signal is to go to the store and restaurant. Do not stay here. Go to another site and not Sandy shores as same thing. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Don't stay at this park under any circumstances! The park is located right next to a train track and high speed trains roar through every 20 minutes all night long, loud enough to wake us up every time. When the 6:20 a.m. train went through, we gave up and left. The garbage dumpsters were overflowing the weekend we were there. The tiny beach on Shuswap Lake is dirty and covered in a slick of oil and gas from the many motorboats. This place is among the worst we've ever stayed. We camped here in a Truck Camper.

Sites are nice but, the nicest ones are taken by permanent residents which is a shame. The sites available for travelers have no grass and are a little sandy/dusty, but are sheltered from the wind so it was not an issue. Sites are tight and tough to get into. I was lucky the site across was open so I could pull in to back up. I am not sure I would have made it otherwise. When we booked i was assured parking was easy. When we got here the story changed a little. The pool and games room are kept nice and the hosts are very friendly and helpful. The site is next to a heritage museum which is beautiful. We went to the dinner theater. It was amateur theater, but it was very good. We would camp here again if I was sure I could get in the site. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Definitely not a resort, but an OK park for a stopover. The single lane road in is rough and has 4 speed bumps. Slow right down! Also the road in is all up hill and quite steep. The owners are doing maintenance on the park and trying to get it in shape. Interior roads are gravel and very rough. The pool and hot tub were closed because of the late season. The site we got was almost level with shade trees covering some of it. Water pressure was good. The sewer connection was quite high up and so I had to finish draining the hose by lifting it up, with gloves on of course. Some sites looked to have a very high sewer connection which might be a problem. WiFi was strong. Each site has its own fire ring, very nice. No traffic or train noise but there was a farmer on his tractor at 7:30 in the morning just across the fence. I looked into the washrooms and showers and they looked clean. This is probably the best park in town. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

A work in progress! New web site. Apparently new owners after KOA let it get too run-down. Much in need of maintenance: some updates evident. Road is in poor shape, land-clearing going on in development lots behind sites. Treed sites were not good for satellite reception. Good enough for an overnight stay. Basic services plus WiFi and cable TV. Washrooms near sites were nailed shut: only washrooms located at the main building were available. The ladies washroom was closed apparently due to the floor being worked on. Charged full rate, although most parks in the area are still on off-season rates. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is the cleanest campground we have ever stayed in and we travel full time. Sites are spotless and facilities are 5 star. They have thought of everything! The owners guided us to our site and backed us in and provided excellent service for our 5 day stay. The location is convenient to everything. 15 minutes from Herald Park/Margaret Falls (nice wander, even for children), 10 minutes to SalmonArm centre. Convenient location just off Hwy1 but road noise is "white noise" once you are parked and you don't notice it, RV sites are behind the front cabins and the other RV's muffle the sound too. Turn your vent fan on if it bothers you. All the campgrounds in the SalmonArm area are beside the highway or right beside the train tracks except for one park and its $49 per night, we were not willing to pay that. We did not notice the trains at all, they ran on the other side of the highway and all the way through town. We stayed here in a Truck Camper pulling a trailer(40ft in total) and we did not have to unhook, paid $35+HST high season rate. They can fit Motorcoaches, trailers, tenting area and also have cabins. Local beaches at Herald Park, GlenEcho and Canoe are worth checking out. Lots of activities for families in the area such as water slides, go karts, mini golf, hiking trails, mountain bike trails, horseback riding, boat rentals, etc. We used to live here and come back to visit. We camped here in a Truck Camper.

We camped for 2 nights and would recommend this RV Park to friends. The cleanest park we've stayed in (out of over 400). Manager helped us back in and his wife gave us maps of nearby attractions. Restrooms would be on par with a 5 star hotel (motion sensor lights, taps, solar heated water, spic and span). Highway noise was insufficient to bother even a light sleeper and trains ran by quietly too. Sites are compact but unlike one reviewer we read, there IS room to stretch out my 8'x21' awning! A nice little park. We'll be back! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Here's the real story on this campground, it's right on busy highway 1 and very close to the railway which runs all night and is extremely noisy, the campground shudders as the trains pass through. Add to that the pesky barking dog on a neighboring property and the horses blowing down their nose early in the morning and you're in for a lousy night. The sites are very tight, you can just about put out your awning and there is zero privacy. The sewer connection is conveniently located close to your neighbors table, nice! The owner has a very strict set of rules, don't dare steal one of the apples off of his tree and make sure your kids don't break his worn out dangerous climbing frame, you'll be buying him the new one he so badly needs. The one good thing about this place is that the shower/laundry block is new, that is as good as it gets. We camped here in a Motorhome.
