The tiny ocean boardwalk community is located 15 kms off highway 19. The road has been recently paved and, while narrow and winding, is in good shape. Telegraph Cove is a mecca for fishing and whale watching and attracts tourist from all over the world. The RV park is newer with good hookups. The site itself is flat and devoid of trees and shrubery, but amazing occean views and walkways are available next to the rv park. Just a short stroll to the village, which juts out over the cove. It contains shops, a pub and restaurant, a whale museum. While we were there a mother bear and her cubs were entertaining passersby right in the village. We had one of the best restaurant meals ever while there. Option of chicken and ribs or salmon BBQ. It has always been a delight to visit this piece of BC history. Very isolated RV park at spectacular setting on Johnstone Strait at the north end of Vancouver Island. Road is now paved, but busy with logging. Everything within walking distance and sitting is breathtaking. Sites are flat with good hookups. Some ocean views. Make sure you are well stocked prior to going in, as there is only a small general store at the cove. The RV park is operated by a new condo developer and is adjacent to the original 1900's village that rings the cove. The buildings are now used as tourist facilities for visitors from all over the world who come for the whale watching. Quaint restaurant and pub overlooking the water along with a very interesting marine museum. Well worth the trip. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
