Small sites very crowded with extended stay campers. Could have been a good place with the creek and all. The bathrooms were filthy and the office staff was like children and laughed at me when I mentioned the trash. Where is management. Maybe the owner doesn't care. Won't return. Too much drinking and drugs for a KOA. Smelled Marijuana all night long. Dirty everything, even the store. Won't return. Went down the road to a better place. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We LOVED this campground! The view is very beautiful; at night you can hear the lions roar from Shambala Preserve just down the road from the campground. The staff is very friendly; the park facilities are very clean; and the location is very private. This is a campground you'd want to go to if you want to be away from the hustle and bustle of life. We camped here in a Motorhome.

OMG this is a KOA? Haha. Won't come back here. Weird store hours. Uninformed camp workers or heavy drinkers. Former flower child. Just a few of the strange workers. Should have been a good stay with the access to Pacific Crest Trail that we wanted. We have headed to the north for better accommodations. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

To start with the 'trains' run all night long and most of the day. The campground would have been tolerable except for the sites were cramped and there are lots of long stay campers. The staff in the office needs to be replaced. Rude and abrasive. There was one camper who told us about some fun things to do in the area: hiking trails, Six Flags, etc. I want to thank her as it made the stay wonderful. The Christmas train was fun too, thanks. The staff here recommended another campground that was just the pits. Check out my other reviews to see. Will not come back. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

The rating on this campground should be a MINUS 2. The people were rude and too young to be running a campground. I'm in my early 30's and these two were more childish than my 4 year old. The manager was unavailable the whole time. The couple at the stairs were rude and angry people. They yelled at my children in the play ground. We wished we had never stayed here. We stayed the 2 nights but wanted to leave the first minute we checked in. Thanks for nothing. The trash was blowing everywhere. We camped here in a Truck Camper.

Is this campground for real? KOA? Very questionable. The bathrooms were filthy and no toilet paper. I have been here 3 times before, and it was much better then. What happened to the wonderful office staff and the campground workers. The trash cans are overflowing, and no one bothers to check to see if we are happy. Went to the office and told the 'child' behind the desk what the problem was, and she chuckled and said it would be taken care of, but to no avail. Not only did I have a problem with the grounds and workers but also being yelled out by someone living near the stairs saying I was too noisy walking down them. This campground has many things to offer if it was kept up. The game room smelled of gasoline. They have a well used pool table and the cue sticks need to be replaced. I will never return to this campground and will tell all not to come here also. The management is lacking in professionalism and is lacking in general. My family and I stayed here in March 2010, May 2010 and July 2010 with no problems. The staff was polite and helpful as well as the grounds were kept clean and orderly. Did you sell this to someone or don't you care anymore? We camped here in a Truck Camper.

What a wonderful campground located in the hills near Los Angeles. The new staff was absolutely amazing, compared to some of the employees they had during our last visit. There used to be a heavy set older woman in the office that was plain and simply despicable. With the fresh polite new staff our views have gone from not returning, to absolutely making this our number one camping spot. Plus the bathrooms were in spectacular shape. We will definitely be returning to the smiling faces of this wonderful new staff. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is the 3 time to try to rate this park. The park is nice and could use some up grades. The bathrooms were clean when we were there. Looked like some games were there, but we didn't play. Close to area fun. The staff needs to be replaced. The office people are too young and silly or old and rude. We talked to friends, and they said this is something new, and the other staff people were better. Where are they? We will not return. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here thinking that it would be quiet: Car Show. Lots of tent sites and the RV sites were nice and level. The music was great but a little loud. The creek was dry but fun for the kids. Was told by a long term camper that there are movies on the weekends during the summer and activities for the kids also. My big complaint is the employees. Started with someone in the office who didn't know what she was doing. Outside, the campground employees were selling food and they weren't very helpful. Security was non existant at night with fires and loud music. When we went to leave we were greeted by the same female employee upon checkin: a very rude and abrasive employee that couldn't help us. Probably won't return. We camped here in a Tent.

This is a really nice campground with level sites, and lots of birds to look at. The recreation rooms were well kept up. The bathrooms were clean. There were games to play but I didn't have time. The only concern I have is that there was a camp worker who came and ate with our big group and proceeded to bad mouth certain workers. She was not very nice about it either. Several people voiced their opinion about this situation and said they didn't appreciate it. We will be having several other trips to this campground and don't want to have the same situation occur. We don't want to have to find another campground due to this infraction on the worker's part. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This campground is lovely with all the trees and the big cat preserve next door. The store seemed to have lots of items necessary for camping. Has lots of parking and a beautiful swimming pool. There is some bad with all this good. A short older woman in the store was about as rude as she could be. I asked for information and she just ignored me. My wife asked and the woman said that she would get to her when she had time. This was during a car show but we were the only ones in the store and this woman didn't seem to be doing anything at all. My family and I are looking forward to our trip here in the spring and hope this womans' attitude improves. We enjoyed the car show and the restrooms were very clean but a little busy. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Have stayed at this park before. Great pool, lots of hiking trails but the newer employees are extremely rude, obnoxious and plain stupid. The women in the office (2 kids and one doter old shrimp) were all useless. I contacted the main office and nothing was accomplished. Apparently this campground doesn't want people to come back. Okay done won't return ever!!!! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This park seemed to have everything, games for the kids, swimming pool, hiking trails and looked to be great campsites. Problem lies in that we never got to stay. Was threatened by a young employee and then basically pushed out by another. Sent corporate and e-mail and got a sorry. Called recently and found these same employees are still here. Won't try camping here again. Will tell everyone of the problems we had. We camped here in a Tent.

This is a great place to stay for extended periods. Monthly rate is very good: $495 a month with full hook up is hard to beat. The pool is nice but closing soon. Great place for kids to play with the swings and hiking trails. Will come again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

What a mistake it was staying here. When we first arrived we were greeted in the office by a mother and daughter team who were just delightful. Then the following morning we returned to the office to get directions into Los Angeles and did not receive the same smiles as the night before. Instead we were told by the woman behind the desk that she didn't have the time to deal with us and if we wanted directions we should buy a map! She was just plain rude! Other than the lack in customer service skills, we attended their movie night only to discover it was all in Spanish so we weren't able to understand a word of it. The wind blew all day and the trains ran all night and to top things off, as we were being scolded for driving over the 5mph speed limit an employee blew by us in a golf cart at a minimum speed of 20mph. so much for setting an example. All in all, we would have had a nicer stay in a Wal Mart parking lot! We camped here in a Motorhome.

Nice location but right in the middle of a fire. We were here for 2 days and then a fire broke out across the street so we moved our fifthwheel and another person's rig down the street for safety. Had problems with some of the workers (they were nice to everyone else but us). The owner was very strange and wouldn't listen to what we had to say. The WiFi was free but sketchy at best. Electrical problems because of the heat caused some problems with our vehicle. Also, where we were camped, all we heard was the movie right above us on the lawn. Because of these problems we will not be coming back. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This park would have been nice with all the amenities except that there was a fire and we were evacuated (not the parks fault). The problem we had was that two key office personnel were so scared and not helpful. When we were sent to a gas station to wait out the fire we saw one pair of these camp workers. When we left the campground after them there was several campers still there. I won't stay where the so call captains leave in a time of need. I will try other parks. What a shame it has so many nice things. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is my third try at reviewing this park. In short, this park is over priced for the facilities and atmosphere provided. Sites are gravel, narrow and close together. Train runs across the back day and night. Restrooms received no attention (dirty & no tp) during our visit. Leash rule is not enforced. One staff member should not be dealing with the public. Shade sites occupied by long term campers. "Nearby town with restaurants" is actually about 5 miles away. We will not stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The owners have worked on upgrades, including new bathhouses, grass in common areas and playgrounds, new fencing, and new utility poles at sites. They have perhaps eliminated some sites to achieve roominess for others, but the site we were in was still a pretty cramped area. It was a very narrow distance between our slide out and the next unit's area. The staff was friendly with directions to highways and area restaurants. They stated that they are doing another year's worth of improvements. This CG is several miles up a canyon road, but the road is good. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed a week and found the park restful and peaceful. After months of remodeling (which continues) the park is now a KOA park. The managers are pleasant and helpful. An unaffiliated old-time western town and horse rental facility is being built next door. We camped here in a Motorhome.

They now have 50 amp in 75% of the park. They said 100% by the end of summer. They REALLY cleaned this park up!!! Enjoyed the stay. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

The sites were small and sandy but easy to get in to. The bathrooms and showers were old but clean. The managers were very pleasant and helpful. Improvements were being made; while we were there flowers were being planted in the front area. The only real problems we had were due to the location in the canyon: our cell phone and internet air card did not work (but the OnStar phone did.) We were given several free trials for the campground's new internet service and that worked very well. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed at this park while working at the San Fernando Valley Fair. This park has had some hard times, but is on the rebound. Improvements are being made. The park is largely dirt yet the park has large shade trees. There is nothing at each site. No table, grass, slab or space designations. Just park between the power boxes. The park may look a little run down, yet the owners are making continual improvements. Pool is excellent. Restrooms and showers were being renovated at the time of our stay. This park would be a wise choice if planning a visit to Magic Mountain Theme Park. The drive to Magic Mountain is further than other parks yet the price is half of the others. Park is quiet with the exception of the occasional train near the park. Park managers were very friendly and pleasant. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Don't let the 5/10 keep you away. I will be back. Apparently this park was at one time a membership park. It was severely run down, and was full of Jerry Springer wanna bee's. 6 months ago a new owner took over. Most tenants were kicked out the new owner is attempting to make this a family park. The pool was very clean and nice. The restroom and showers were improving. Flowers and grass have been planted. Decks and buildings repaired and painted. Sites are weird in that some do not have water, but do have sewer. It looks like they are putting splitters on the hose bibs. The managers are strict but fair. This is probably necessary right now. They were very helpful, and shared truthful information of the conditions before I got there. If they keep up the work, in 6 more months it will probably be up to a 7-8. And as I said, especially for the price with Passport America, I will be back.. Hopefully they will keep up the good work. This could be a real nice park again.. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

They claim to have over 900 sites, however between the leased sites and the sites without power the number is much smaller. Checked six sites before we found one that had good power. Seems like it would be an easy chore to mark the ones without , or low, power. This would shorten the time looking for a site. In spite of the fact that we are members we will avoid this park. There is no enforcement of the rules at the adult lodge and pool. Management has decided it is better to lease the best sites and let the weekenders/members try and find decent power. Wi-Fi is marginal at best. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Our first time here. Nice big park. Lots of trees and grassy areas. Facilities nice but scattered; need auto or bikes. Electrical breaker kept tripping and shutting off our power. Many lease and extended stay sites in the best locations and now open to the public for a mere $45/night. Not the membership camping we purchased, but it's free camping for us so we will stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The important issue is power. You MUST check the source at the stanchion before you hook up. There are some open neutrals and some legs have no power at all. There is an upgrade underway, but it could be some time before it is complete. There are lots of sites to pick from. Cell phone connectivity is almost non-existent, but we did have Wi-Fi using our booster in our site. Staff is friendly and helpful and gearing up for a busy summer. The sites are nearly all drive through with perimeter sites back-ins and all easy access. Main roads are asphalt and interior roads packed gravel. Sections M,N,P & Q could be isolated IF it rains and the Santa Clara River washes out the road from the Adult Lodge up to those sections. There are emergency exits to the Arrastre Canyon Rd, just in case. This resort is well maintained and well managed. The reason for the rating level is the problem with the electrical service. There are trails to hike and off site places to explore. Family lodge has a huge pool and play area. We will return when in the area. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

After reading the reviews on here, I was sure I was going to have a terrible time at Soledad Canyon... quite the OPPOSITE. Our experience was amazing. When we 1st arrived we were assigned a cabin that did not have an AC that worked. The ranger was very helpful and expedient and upgraded us to the Getaway cabins. This cabin was BEAUTIFUL, modern and a quaint little home away from home. We did not participate in any of the activities on site. Rather we went into LA or made a left and took Soledad Canyon Road into Santa Clarita where we purchased groceries, dined out & went to see a film. Wi-Fi was available in the adult center, the gates were closed at night, and cell reception better in some sections than others. Overall it was an excellence experience & a beautiful atmosphere! We camped here in a Campground Cabin.

This park could use some updating and, as others have mentioned, the electricity is a problem. You need to test the electricity before you hookup. We stayed in section N; there are many sites which are owned, look very nice and landscaped and these are on the outside of the area. The sites are long, level, mostly pull-through and there is a lot of grass and trees between sites. We enjoyed walking around the park which is quite large and there are some trails in the hills surrounding the park. Shopping is a bit of a drive. We would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

If you like the sound of train horns multiple times an hour, 24 hours a day -- this is the park for you! Thousand Trails should be embarrassed to have their name on this park. One half to three quarters of their electrical towers do not work. Security was non-existent, Gate was always open, they passed out the prior month's schedule of activities upon check in because they didn't have a current one due to the fact that the manager was on vacation. The park is mainly for full-time residents who cover their sites with trash and old rusted car parts. Dogs run free with no enforcement of leash rules. We finally found a site with working 50 amp, pull through and level. We stayed 3 weeks but were very glad to move on to our next reservation. We will not camp here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The direct interior access road to sections N, P, and Q was washed out so we needed to check-in then exit the park and go back to another entrance up on the hill on the back side of section N. Electricity seems to have been resolved within section N since our visit back in October 2010. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We have camped here often in section N (up on the hill) with good satellite and cell phone access. The campground is upgrading the electrical connectivity as some sites no longer provide reliable electricity and have been known to damage rig’s internal appliances. So, follow the instructions that the camp ranger provides to ensure your electricity is good. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed here overnight. We had a pull-through site in the N section; site was level, and cell phone reception was great and TV was available by antenna. We enjoyed playing pool at the lodge. Internet reception was very good at the lodge. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Haven't been to a place where you pick your own spot so that was a chore, especially because when we found one we liked and started to hook up, but the power didn't work. Found another and power wasn't that great but worked. Way too many bugs here, but can't blame staff for that. At night the train was very loud and it seems as if they honk the horn intentionally as they roll by the RV park. Woke me up four times. BUT, the amenities are great! Has large pools, mini golf, ping pong, a huge arcade, play area for the kids and more. And, this has been the one place that allows all dogs as long as they are not vicious. Our pit bull is a teady bear and we usually can't take him. Pros win over the cons and we'll be back! We camped here in a Motorhome.

Many people told me not to come to this park - it was dirty and unkempt, they said - but I did anyhow and am glad I did. The park could use a little sprucing up, paint here and there, but very few parks these days can say anything different. The park has a great adult pool, immense children pool, lots of family activities, great security, an on-site store and its location, 40 miles north of Los Angeles, can't be beat. Add to this the Metrolink train that stops in nearby Acton and you have a good base for seeing the sights LA has to offer. I would camp here anytime. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Lots of permanent residents, great trees, power was iffy - luckily we have built in surge protection. We were on the hilltop in section N so we had good satellite and internet connectivity. Nothing fancy here but worth the Coast-to-Coast rate. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

I am unsure about the nightly rate as we went as guests with friends who had a membership. This place was truly horrible. Before camping here we had actually considered buying one of these memberships, I am so happy we didn't! The park was filled with groups towards the back of the campground, who obviously didn't observe the quiet policy at night or early morning! We camped here in a Motorhome.

I would have given this location a higher rating, except for mgmt's priorities when it comes to providing accessibility and improvements. I stayed out at the end of "K" section as it was the only location that I could get my Air Card (Internet) to work. "N" section access road had been washed out due to recent storms. When quizzed about when the road would be fixed, managers response was "when it stops raining." Further, "if you do want to park up in "M,N,P" sections, you do so at your own risk" meaning that you have to go all the way around the park to the Emergency Exit gate. If it rains "you may find yourself stranded-unable to leave or return to your RV and have to find alternate sleeping accommodations at your own expense!" Even in an case of a Medical Emergency, crews will NOT be dispatched to help you. You sign a statement to that effect, before being allowed to park out in these sections. Just why this preserve doesn't fix the road or simply CLOSE all access is almost beyond belief. However, for the two weeks I was there, they continued their projects of putting in a very extensive NEW underground irrigation system and building fences around some of the eyesores in this park. Over 75 sites had no working electric or water service down in the "K" section. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I've been a Thousand Trails member for about 1 1/2 years now. When I first went to Soledad TT it was quite a disappointment; however, it is growing on me! First off, it is being improved--fences, signs, grass, trees, paint, rest rooms, and even the electrical problems. I really am enjoying camping there now. Cell service is great in the "N" section, but I like being near the adult lodge and pool under the trees. The "rangers" are always friendly to me, but maybe that's because I'm usually always friendly to everyone. It can be contagious (hint, hint). Soledad is not my favorite TT, but it is worth staying at. Just be sure to pick where you stay. If you have no children, stay where the adults do! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

(I stayed with a member and do not know what the rate was.) This park makes me angry. I do not understand how, nearing the end of 2009, any RV park could expect to stay in business while offering zero technology: no Wi-Fi, no internet at the sites, no cable TV. Furthermore, because of the canyon location, we had no cell coverage and no satellite TV. This park is huge but it's a dump. As you drive in, you see trimmed trees and shrubs surrounded by thick healthy grass. Take a good look at that grass because it's the last time you will see it in the park. The roads are rocky and dusty. Road signs in the large park are broken or knocked down and just sitting at the sides of the road. There are no fires allowed though I noticed others with large fires. There were also very loud groups of people there who certainly did not respect "Quiet Time". This is supposed to be a private membership park that costs thousands of dollars to to join, yet it lacks the most rudimentary expectations to "rough it" while away from home. When you are at this park, it is truly roughing it. You will pass one or two RV parks en route to this dump. I highly recommend giving one of the others a try. I honestly hate to see businesses struggling in this economy, but I resented every dollar I spent at this Thousand Trails and I felt highly taken advantage of. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Family and I stayed here for a week, we were suppose to stay for 2 weeks. The week we were there the jacuzzi didn't work, we were told there was no ice so we had to travel to store down the road. My children were harrassed by one of the employees in the office everyday the 1 week we spent there. I was very disappointed the week we were there, and don't ever plan to go back. Camping is suppose to be relaxing for families not stressful. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Too many sites without electrical!!! Restroom B-1 wasn't working. Had to move again! First time I had to move because the post was not marked as NOT WORKING! Park was looking better but too many things are bad. Went for the Creekside food but was told they kicked the chef out. The current food made us sick. Will not go back. Stayed in Area N. Some sites without electrical service but, upon arrival, you are reminded to verify site has power before setting up. They have an ongoing problem with electrical service. Great AT&T cell phone service. Getting Wi-Fi from rig. Main Wi-Fi access is at the Adult Lodge and is great. Ongoing maintenance during this "un-busy" season. Will visit here again We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

There are many electrical hookups taped off and not working. The B-2 restroom/shower were not cleaned the two days we were there. Nice pool facilities with separate family pool and adult pool. With a little work this would be an outstanding park. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This membership park has lots to do for the kids: horseback riding, fishing, climbing wall, mini golf, swimming, and playgrounds. They advertise 477 full hookups and 375 power/water sites. We noticed quite a few electric boxes taped off with electric problems. Our site was supposedly OK, but in fact the power would drop to 103 volts at times, causing our motorhome to go on battery power. We were on the hill in the D section, which is where the satellite and phone signal is best. A portion of the campground was closed, but they were cleaning it up in preparation for the upcoming camping season. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I was thrown out of this park while staying with a group of friends. Why? I was accused of "speeding" (8 mph in a 5 mph according to my GPS) by one of their "security guards" who had absolutely no customer service skills whatsoever. I had the audacity to call him on it and he got in my face and threatened to physically drag me out of the park. The park management was unavailable at the time, and have not returned my phone calls, so I have been telling everyone I know to avoid this place, and all other Thousand Trails campgrounds. We camped here in a Truck Camper.

Friendly staff, good utilities and Wi-Fi, pretty quiet, I liked the tiered hillside sites although with hatch doors open on the utility side, you're walking on a dirt slope between you and your neighbor. Just a tad narrow while towing, they will direct you in order to help you avoid the electrical post while getting pretty close at that angle of attack. Long term neighbors were nice. Nothing within walking distance. We chose this spot to avoid our typical Valencia/Santa Clarita stop. Glad we did. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Friendly staff. Sits on a hillside. VERY narrow sites. Clean and neat. Close to Palmdale for shopping, etc. We camped here in a Motorhome.

A nice, clean, scenic park. Only down side is the fact it is on the side of a hill, and each site has a fairly steep bank on the hookup side. We were unable to use our street side bins when the slide was out. We were here only two days: used it to visit LA area attractions. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The attraction to this park is the closeness to Santa Monica. It is clean and has many amenities. There is a side for monthly RV'ers and we were able to pick our site, so we would not be on top of our neighbors. There is a view of the mountains but there is also some road noise. This is only a quick stop over for us. Would not want to stay for an extended period as we prefer a more natural setting. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This was our second stay at this park. Once again, park was clean & quiet. Friendly staff, restrooms and showers tidy. Pool was nice and kids had fun swimming. Our site (112) was not the most level of the bunch, but not too bad. Only problem was morning sprinkler water pooled up on slab due to this. I noticed our neighbor's sites did not have this water pooling problem. Wi-Fi speeds about 768k down and 100 up with good coverage. Each site has plenty of room, concrete slab, and is bordered with grass. A game room and/or playground for the kids would really do this park good and put it at the 'great' level. Cable TV clear. Overall a good park should you find yourself in the Palmdale/Lancaster/Acton area. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Californian RV Resort is situated on a hill overlooking the 14 freeway between Palmdale and Santa Clarita. The office personnel have always been professionally friendly and helpful. The park is well-maintained. The bathhouses have recently been upgraded. The pool, hot tub, laundry, exercise room, & clubhouse are clean. Presumably as a cost cutting measure, shower water is just about lukewarm. (Which is annoying considering the site rate.) Interior roads are somewhat narrow, but manageable. Sites are very narrow and really too short for rigs 40' or more. Our rig is 40' so, even parked catty-corner, our Jeep hangs out in the road somewhat. They have a lot of rules, but nothing onerous if you have a rig less than 10 years old and insurance papers up-to-date. We stay here every year around the Christmas / New Year holidays and it's usually quite windy and cold. In our experience at this park, the guests tend to be without children, and do adhere to the rules. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park has some good things going for them. Front desk staff were professional and friendly. Restrooms and showers clean, as was the entire park. The cable TV channels were clear and a good selection was available. The Wi-Fi was spotty but they have several antennas. I found if my connection was not too good, I could "search for available networks" and find a better connection. My best connection was about 768k down. About the same as a low-end DSL connection at home. Park was not crowded and that was a plus. Earlier reports about sites being small are true, but without neighbors you don't notice it. If you had neighbors on both sides I could see where that might be a problem. Our space and those near us had grass and I'm fairly sure all are pull-through. No space firepits and personal firepits are not allowed. Not overly kid friendly either: no playground, game-room, or things for kids to do except skateboard / scooter on the hills until staff comes to tell them to stop. Freeway close but that's about it. Nothing near-by but Palmdale is only about 10 quick freeway miles away. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

While this park has everything you can think of, everything is a pain in the biscuits. Swimming Pool, Hot Tub, and the Bathhouse are on one side of the park close to the first three rows but far from the bulk of the sites. All the amenities are here, but so is the price tag at $46 a day. Then there are the negatives. Starting with the sites. Very small sites, all pull-throughs but narrow enough that they send you out with a guide to get you parked. We don't like to run the fiver all the way to the end of the site, but to get the slide outs out we had to be pretty forward in the site. About three feet from the end of the site. Leaving not enough room to park behind the unit. Normally if I park that close to the front I just park in back. At this park, I couldn't do that without four feet of truck sticking out in the road. Canting the truck to minimize the chance of being hit left me on the grass (a no-no the managment informed me). There is no other place to park the truck. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

The park is very clean, but the sites are very tight. We have been here three months and have observed that the management has no control over the behavior of the guests here. We have about 20 line men who have literally taken this park over. They drink, and party until all hours of the night. When approached about a complaint they threatened to do bodily harm to the man representing management. All of this despite letters and notices that such behavior is unacceptable. Beware, you may not get much sleep here! We camped here in a Motorhome.

We camped here with an RV club. Upon check in, a staff member saw me to my site and assisted in guiding the RV in. All sites are pull in, 30 amp, water, sewer, electric and cable TV. Sites are level concrete slabs with a grass strip between sites. This campground is on a hill and all sites are tiered up the hill. There is plenty of room to park a vehicle in front of or behind your rig. There is also room to open slides on both sides. The restrooms were spotless with some homey touches such as a sign and silk flowers. The grounds were immaculate. Eighty percent of the park residents are full timers. The long term residents were extremely friendly. There is a club house that is available for groups which is in the same room as the office. For our stay they set the tables in the club house with fresh flowers. There is also a very tiny pretty useless dog run above the pool. The pool area has firepits and a room enclosed on 3 sides. The bathrooms with showers are adjacent to the pool. There are additional bathrooms in the clubhouse. I did notice a laundry room and what may have been a workout room in the center of the park. We found the campground staff to be extremely helpful and friendly. The campground was very clean. The office has tons of brochures of local attractions, although the closest thing we could find was a winery in Agua Dulce. Which we did visit and enjoy. The resort is right off of the 14 freeway. It's ideal for groups, and for people who are passing through. It's not a destination resort type of place. The park was also extremely quiet. They have a Security Guard that patrols in a truck at night. It also has a security gate at the entrance. Very nice place, nice staff and nice residents. I'll be back. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I have stayed here before, both longterm and overnight weekend. It was great then and is even better now. They have added fitness room and new laundromat. The management of the park are terrific and visitor friendly. I will be back and would recommend this resort for all. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

It's nice and clean but it's more for over night camping. The spaces are sloped real bad. It's sort of like a drive-in shape. It's not near anything and out of the way. It's freeway close for traveling but not to stay at for too long. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This campground is more of a place for permanent RV parking. There were a few spots for "over nighters". We were there for three days, visiting the Los Angeles area. The LA area doesn't have an over abundance of nice RV spots that aren't tied to places like Disneyland. The only down side to this park is that is a fair distance from many of the attractions in LA. I will stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This was the only decent RV park in the Lancaster/Palm Dale area. It's located off a busy highway but you don't hear road noise. My GPS (Magellan) had trouble with this, just as another reviewer posted. But the good thing is, the park (according to the park map) appears to have a good majority of "pull through" spots, with some "back in" around the perimeter. I had made a reservation, but it wasn't really necessary, park had plenty of spots available for this time of year. Since this was off season, they were ok with me arriving a day later than originally scheduled; they let me slice off one night without penalty. The rate I am showing is the rate before Good Sam/AAA discounts. The entrance to the park is steeply sloped. When I turned in from the highway, I "scraped bottom" (I have a 30 foot class C). The slots are relatively level, but somewhat narrow. You cannot park a car next to your RV, and there is a sliver of pavement (more like a tightrope) to walk on next to your RV on both sides. If you have enough room, you can park a SMALL car in back or front of the RV. If you have a large car, there are extra parking lots around the park. The slots are terraced, there is a small width of grass between each RV slot. As for "full-timers," the park has a rule that guests can stay only 90 days, then they have to leave for 72 hours. However, a letter in the laundry room clarified this to say that you could move to a "daily" site for 72 hours, then move back to the monthly site. The manager stated that the free wireless is only accessible in the office. My spot was farther up the hill, and sometimes I was able to get the wireless in my RV, sometimes not. Didn't matter whether I used it in the office or in my RV, it was slow, might as well have been on dial up! The cable has about 40 channels, not bad. The restroom/shower building was ok, not sparkling clean, but ok. The laundry building has a good supply of washers and dryers for the size of this park (176 spaces, I counted). The only bad thing about the laundry area is that all the laundry facilities are in one building in the center of the park. If you are not close to the center of the park, it's a hike! Up and down hills (the whole park is terraced), there are no "straight short cuts." This could be a problem for those with health/respiratory issues. I'm in reasonably good health, but I would have preferred maybe three smaller laundry areas as opposed to one large area, but maybe there is a reason they have it this way. There is a pool, spa, and exercise room, but I didn't get a chance to use any of these facilities during my stay. I'll give it an 8 despite my major issue with "scraping bottom" at the entrance, and the slow wireless. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This was a very clean, well maintained RV park. There were full-time resident RVs, but they were all to one side of the park and were well maintained. The sites are an adequate distance apart with grass and plants between. No access problems with our 39' fifth wheel & crew cab dually. The restrooms were spotless and there is also a modest exercise room. The staff was very helpful arranging to get us in the closed gate and to our assigned site for our after hours arrival. Note that the directions in the Trailer Life directory are not quite accurate and our GPS had a difficult time with the location too, as there are multiple exits for the same road. Acton is not a very exciting location or destination, but this park was a nice spot for our one night stay. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

An excellent park just across the Angeles forest from LA. Newer park with excellent pool and spa. Decent size sites, all concrete with trees and grass. Not much shade, but excellent accommodations. WIFI is free but of limited range. Showers and restrooms were nice and conveniently located. I would highly recommend if you are anywhere near LA. We camped here in a Motorhome.
