Such a nice park for an overnighter. Everything was kept immaculate. Office personnel was very nice and helpful. Would definitely stay here again if needed. It was just off the route we needed to travel the next day anyway. This was a Good Sam Park also. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Great place to stay over on your way somewhere else. Clean and neat - grass at each site, well maintained (you could putt on it), nice level concrete pads. Plenty wide. We've stayed at other near by parks, and this is the best for passing through. The only problem on this visit is the pay for wi-fi. Four bucks and nothing but trouble and no help from the provider (The Wireless Web). Told me to get a better antenna. I was standing under their antenna. Anyway - plenty of cable channels (Comcast), but nothing on. Not their fault. Will return on my way through. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Concrete level pads. Area around the park is a little concerning. Restaurants are on the opposite side of town. Staff was helpful. Just an overnight type park. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a clean RV park that makes staying here a joy. Sites are long, wide and level. Hookups are well located and easy to access. Cable TV is very good and Verizon air card works well here. Showers/restrooms are clean and modern. Nice swimming pool and hot tub although we did not have time to use them. If we had known this park was this nice we would not have committed ourselves down the road and stayed here longer. We would come here again if we were anywhere close to this area. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Excellent place to overnight. We had a large, diagonal pull-through which made it easy in, easy out. Pads are concrete and level. Amazingly quiet considering the nearby freeway. We would stop here again for an overnight. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice spot to overnight. Close to Highway 58 but there's limited traffic noise. Nice wide and level sites, strong electric and very clean facilities. Large grassy field for the dogs which ours loved as it was the first green grass in months!!! Would stay here again when passing through. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stopped for an over-nighter. Twenty of the sites are level concrete, with the other sites gravel. 50-channel cable TV worked fine. Wi-Fi was $4 per day with excellent speed. Restrooms and showers were clean. Park has a nice pool and hot tub. Some Highway-58 noise at night. Security gate at night: get code from office if you're going out for the evening. This entire RV Park was one of the cleanest we've ever stayed in. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

There was nothing special about this RV park except that it was very clean and the sites were level. It shows that the owners take a lot of pride in keeping the park clean. They have some nice lemon trees and we were able to pick some of the lemons. Would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This was fine for an overnight stop although a bit too much like car park for our tastes. However, for the brief time we were there we had good wi-fi connection, were able to walk the dog in an off leash area, and used the clean laundry room which could be larger given the size of the park, but on the whole it was OK. It is close to the interstate, and there is traffic noise and train noise during the night. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice, clean park with easy access in and out, and nice pads for RVs. No shade. Their website stated Wi-Fi and store available. We found the Wi-Fi is not included: costs $4 a day. It is pretty slow, a little faster than dial-up. Not a problem if you are only checking e-mail, but it was for me. The "store" is nothing more than a poorly stocked shelf. Overall, a pretty nice park, but the internet and store availability are not what is advertised. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is one of the cleanest RV parks I have ever seen. We liked it so well we stayed here twice in the same trip. The grounds are well manicured, the bathrooms and showers are spotless and the pool and spa are sparkling. There was lots of room for pullouts. It is great for overnight stays or longer. Very quiet, away from the freeway, but not too far (within a mile). We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park was very comfortable and quiet to live in. The rates are reasonable, and the facility is in good condition. The pool and hot tub area are extremely well cared for, and open for use any time, as long as you are quiet late at night. The staff was very nice and helpful, very service oriented. The office has a little store area, with a few items, but not a lot. And you can receive mail there, in boxes inside the office, for no extra charge. I really liked the automatic gate at the entrance, which closes at night, and you get a code to get in and out. I will definitely stay here next time I go to Bakersfield. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Park is great with grass between concrete pads and all have picnic tables. Wide pull thru for the big rigs and still room for my F350 truck parked sideways in front of my pad. Easy access off the highway. Many fast food and sit down restaurants close by. Would stay here again, this park is very quiet. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is one of the best parks that we always enjoy on our yearly trips to Las Vegas. We have stayed in all the campgrounds in Bakersfield and if there is one rule of campgrounds in Bakersfield is that they are all next to railroad tracks. You may not see them when you arrive but you will at 3am! This is restful, has wonderful amenities, is clean and spotless, is very inexpensive. They also have fantastic cable which for us was nice as we don't have satellite. They also have wireless thorough the park and it works quite well. Most importantly it is quiet and you can get a good nights sleep. We usual sleep with the windows open and it very restful. I would highly recommend this park for anyone staying in Bakersfield. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The only change in the park from previous reviews is that they have made more of the sites concrete rather than the dirt/gravel. Makes it much nicer. This is a great place for an overnight stop or to visit in the area. We have been here several times and it never changes---friendly staff, everything nice and clean, sparkling pool. We stay here on over night trips to northern California. The park is easily accesses from the interstate. It is clean and maneuvering a large motorhome into spaces is easily done. Although the sites are mostly unshaded they are clean and neatly maintained. Each site has a picnic table. It is perfect for an overnight stay, but I would not think of this park as a destination rv resort park. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We overnighted here on our way back from AZ. The staff was very nice and accommodated our request to move from our no grass pull through to a site with grass. The width of the spots was very good and we had a nice long, level pull thru. Our particular site wasn’t paved, but we were willing to sacrifice that for the grass next to us. More mature trees would have been nice. We did not use the showers, but we did enjoy their pool and since it was very hot, we appreciated that they let our young daughter in with swim diapers. The cable didn’t work at our site, but since we were only there for one night it wasn’t a big deal and we hijacked the connection from the empty site next to us. Overall a very nice stay in a clean park. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

The past reviews for this park seem to be all over the map. This was the second time that we have stayed at this park, and we really like it. It is a convenient place to layover for a few days when travelling through California on the way to the Southwest. The park is clean, and the sites are large, if somewhat close together. Coming from the rainy Northwest, we get a big kick out of camping among the orange trees and picking oranges. Contrary to one poster's comments, we have found these to be the juiciest, tastiest oranges we've ever had. Free Wi-fi is available, but only in certain areas so let the staff know you want it when you check in or make your reservation. We also took advantage of the area set aside for washing cars and rigs. The laundry rooms have front-loading high efficiency washers and that was nice. There are free coffee and donuts in the office each morning, and the recreation facility is decorated in a cute log cabin/mountain retreat theme. When we checked in we received a coupon good for $2 off our next visit. The park wasn't very full when we were there this time, but the lady in the office said that they are very busy in January, so it's a good idea to make reservations at that time. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We have stopped here several times and have always found the park to be clean and well maintained. There are always a lot of people here that appear to be somewhat long-term, but the sites are always clean. One section is just gravel, but the others have a small patch of grass between them. Lots of small trees, but not large enough for shade. There is a strong Wi-Fi signal at the site--but for $3/day, I don't use it. I consider this a nice stop for a few days. We had site #2 a level, paved, FHU pull-thru that was a decent size for our 30 ft class A. The park is very well kept, easy in and out (not far from the freeway, we got a little noise but not troublesome) with good cable. This was a very good stop over place for us, we'd use it again. Large RV park, with pool that was very crowded. It was extremely hot. It was just okay for the night. The female clerk was particularly grumpy. The worst thing about the park was the power. The Voltmeter registered less than 110 Volts AC. That means if you ran your AC (A must) you should not run your Microwave as the power drain could blow out either or both. More of a volume tightly packed RV Park. It is clean, and very well kept. The sites are ample and there's plenty of room on either side. The overnight spots are mostly gravel. I think longer stays get a small lawn area. They stored RV's across the isle from the campers, which is not particularly pretty to look at. Overall, an ok place. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is very clean, neat park with friendly, knowledgeable staff. The pool and hot tub were clean and well cared for. The pullthrough sites were level and solid although not paved. Cell phone and computer air card reception was very good. There is a large green space to exercise dogs. All facilities were clean and modern. We would return to this RV park. Decent overnight spot when traveling through Bakersfield. We stayed 4 nights while visiting family in the area, then returned and spent two more nights after a trip to Indio. Only drawback is the messy decomposed granite/dirt on the pad. The "overnight" spots don't have any grass or concrete, so you track the gravel/dirt into the motorhome/trailer. Still, basically a good spot in Bakersfield. Friendly staff and place was very clean and neat. Good access for Big Rigs in pull-throughs (no trees to hit). We stayed here in April/May of 2006 with a 42 footer with towed vehicle. We camped here in a Motorhome.

CA. is hot but everyone builds their parks with no real means of shade. Trees do grow here. I noticed they build on top of each other also. The rent is high verses the economy. Around here they play games for you getting in full time. Like waiting lists or they are not taking full timers when they really do. What happened to first come first served? Not very honest up front. Why? This is the best park for the area. The water pressure gets very low at times. The bathrooms are very clean and so is the pool. Parking is a breeze. Level and hard no need for blocks. Has laundry room and store for snacks. This park will soon be getting bigger. Big family owned and operated. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

A fairly new park that is expanding. Shade trees planted, but not mature yet. Grassy areas with tables/benches between sites. Exceptionally friendly and cooperative staff. All facilities (restromms/showers/laundry)are extremely clean and well serviced. Small store included in office. We camped here in a camper.

This seemingly is an older park with lots of old units and what appears to be permanent residents. What I particularly liked was the new 20 site area set aside for over-nighters. It has truly been designed for easy hook-up with a pole that contains all outlets. Hooking the sewer hose and water hose is all that makes one bend down. Pads are of concrete and the islands in between sites are of gravel. Interior roads paved. Good Wi-Fi and lots of TV stations. Price was right for sure. Next to train tracks so there is train noise, as there is traffic noise from major streets. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Decent park: convenient and clean, but noisy (freight trains and Edison Highway) and no grass. Staff seemed friendly and helpful. Overnighter area is all long pull-throughs, with 50 amps, cement pads and picnic tables on patio blocks. Long-term area is a mix of back-ins and pull-throughs, with gravel and very small privacy fences. Free Wi-Fi requires registering with a coupon code from the office, but works okay. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

I would have rated this park 10/10 if not for the trains that run right next door. As far as trains go, they are not bad, very seldom do they blow their horns. But trains are trains and that does mean noise. The park is great. Nice long drive-through cement pads with lots of room between sites. Good Wi-fi and cable TV. I got a 20% discount with the Camp California guide. A very nice park. It's just too bad about the trains which may discourage me from returning. If they don't bother you, I recommend this park. The park is located close to a very busy railroad track, so there is always plenty of noise, 24 hours a day. There is no landscaping to speak of, no shaded sites. The park is rather dreary to look at. But I guess at these prices, it's hard to complain about that. The pool and hot tub area is nice and well taken care of. The staff was not helpful or service-oriented at all. I intended to stay a couple of months, but left after 2 weeks. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

There was a very friendly, helpful staff. It is easy access to sites which are level. It is close to the railway tracks, but we did not find this a problem. One of our reasons for being here was to view the Tehachapi Loop on the railway. The laundry was very clean and prices reasonable. Washrooms and showers were very clean. Swimming pool and hot tub were open and heated even though it is November. We have stayed here previously, and it appears that some of the long term residents have moved or cleaned up their sites. There was fast Wi-Fi, instant phone service at site, and good cable service all included in price. Citrus trees as well as palm trees are around the park. We will return. This was not a favorite stop of ours. There is nothing wrong with the park, but there is nothing special about it either. The best part was a trip to the hot tub in the evening, and being the only people there in the pool area. That was relaxing. We just always hope for each night to be a memorable experience and this park brought nothing to create a special memory. We would look for a different place next time through Bakersfield. We stayed here three nights while we visited Sequoia National Forest and shopped Antique stores. The Park has a great dog run and they keep it nice. The railroad does run beside the Park but we didn't notice the noise all that much. We didn't have a reservation but had no problems. Staff was pleasant. We had originally planned on staying in Barstow, review of that fiasco reflected in campground review, and were desperate to find an RV Park for the night. It was about 7pm when we called to check availability. We didn't know it at the time, but we spoke with the owner who was more than happy to accommodate us. Sites are easy to get in and out of. Clean park and well maintained. We only stayed overnight and wouldn't recommend park for an extended stay as it backs up to major railroad tracks with constant use. There are many long-term residents in the park; some keep their sites very nice, others don't. The park was very quiet at night, despite the trains going by on a regular 30 minute interval. Met the owner next morning at check-out; very nice and friendly. We got a better look at the overall appearance of the park and it wasn't bad. If we had to stay overnight there again we would. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

I didn't think this park was as bad as many of the previous reviews have indicated. I notice most of those reviews are from well in the past, perhaps the park has been cleaned up alot since then as it looked OK to me. There are alot of permanent residents, but we didn't have any trouble or get any bad looks. We stayed only for one night when passing through. There is a huge area to park by the office when checking in. The site was good sized and separated by a small fence. Didn't use cable, did use Wifi and it was good. I would stay here again, but I also would explore other parks in Bakersfield as there surely has to be something better. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I arrived late in the evening to this park, stayed just long enough to get some sleep. That would be if I had not been put next to the managers trailer and the occupants hadn't turned their car headlights on and off several times shining directly into my trailer. The train noise was very loud, sounding like harleys riding through the park. Very unfriendly place, the residents gave me odd looks. The dog walk area was okay but signs everywhere else in the park telling you to keep pets off grass which I thought was ironic considering there were stray cats everywhere. What a dive. Sites are small & difficult to manuever into. There was a dog running loose and messing in my yard. The dog run was of average size but clearly no one understood the "pick up after your own dog" theory. There were several seasonals and many were pretty trashy. I had previously stayed here and found the long-term tenants and the train to be only a distraction. However, on this visit, we were very disappointed to find that it was 90% long-term tenants with trashy sites, including multiple broken down vehicles. It looks like a ghetto! Thank goodness I have strong locks on my motorhome doors and didn't need to go outside. Very disappointing!!! We will NOT be back. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park had a bad environment, created in part by the junky, surly long term renters, and the lack of interest by the management. There were kids playing in the hot tub for hours (the same kids), and it appeared as if the showers were being used by more than the rv park tenants. We stayed two nights so we could play golf one day. It wasn't worth it. During one of the nights we were there, someone spray painted the back of our tow truck. Avoid this place. This campground is a jewel in the rough. Coming into it through the industrial area we wondered what we were getting into. The road ended and there is this pretty, pristine, well laid out campground. We are just passing through but would love to stay a day or so longer if possible. It has very good Wi-Fi and many channels on their cable. With Good Sam we paid $33.30 for the night. Stayed here with our seven year old grandson. What a find in Bakersfield! Wouldn't stay anywhere else within a 100 miles of this place. The pool was refreshing, the hot tub very relaxing, there's a big screen TV in a nicely furnished entertainment room. The showers were super clean and the front desk very friendly. The store was nicely stocked too. Would definitely recommend this as the ONLY place to stay in Bakersfield. Very quiet too. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Park was better than expected for a "city" park. It was conveniently located near the highway and restaurants. Unfortunately, the girl in the office wasn't very knowledgeable about nearby grocery stores for provisioning (but she did have good restaurant suggestions). Unfortunately the pool and hot tub were not operational. The park was extremely neat and clean, and the grounds well maintained. The sites are level concrete and have nice grassy areas separating them. All-in-all, a good park for passing thru the city. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park has everything if you have dogs who love to romp. We have two large dogs who love to hike. This park has a long path, a river for the dogs to swim in, and a sandy shore for them to play on. Our RV site was a pull through. It was level and had a bit of grass for the dogs to lay on. The restrooms were clean and the showers were roomy. We loved this park. The WiFi worked great too. If you have kids, there is a park across the river to take them too. This is our second visit and we always make a point to stay here when we are passing through! We camped here in a Motorhome.

First of all: there is no water near this place. Although, if the county let the water flow this direction, there could be a wonderful river near the park. The park had great hook ups, and was nice and clean. It did seem that there were a lot of permanent residents. Has paved spaces with grass between each space. The dog walk area was along the river edge and had too many stickers for our small dogs, but the office lady did tell us we could walk the dogs anywhere as long as they were on a leash. A nice new RV park. Prices range from $32 to $39 depending on back-in or pull-thru and site length. Over-nighters, which we were, get the sites closest to the Freeway, so there was road noise. This is a very nice and clean newer park along the Kern River. There are several long-termers, but most of their sites are uncluttered. Some of the restroom/shower facilities needed repair, but were very clean. Since it's new, the trees haven't grown enough to provide shade. Not sure we would want to be here in the summer. The only problem was the long-termers speeding through the park in their pick-ups. We will stay here as a full-timer in the future. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Very nice for an overnight stay: convenient to CA 58 (we're always leaving the state over Tehachapi) but also not much traffic noise. Not scenic surroundings (industrial), but very tidy, new park with decent space between sites, which is rare in a new commercial park. Bathroom facilities outstanding. We preferred this park to the Orange Grove park in Bakersfield for our over nighting needs. (Extra $2 per night charge for a dog; not great facilities for dogs, though.) New RV park so there's no shade from trees yet - gives it a little bit of a parking lot feeling. Site we were assigned to was too small for our 5th wheel. Reserved a pull through but it was so close to the neighbor we wouldn't have been able to put out our 3 slides. It wasn't very full so the girl in the office let us choose any other site we wanted. Took a back in, "river front" and had plenty of room with it. The river isn't really a river - it's a dry wash. Used the pool - very nice and the club house is very nice too! We rank parks on three main issues. 1-the type of walking areas for dogs, 2-the size of the sites, and 3-cleanliness of the bathrooms. This park was a pleasant surprise. We also thought it was expensive for what you got, but it was clean and had a GREAT place to walk our dogs. We rarely feel comfortable walking them off leash, but we did here. The main walking trail is right off the park and it's a nice 3-4 mile walk. There is a dried up river bed too. We let our wilder dog run her butt off in it. The bathrooms were very clean. The sites were terribly small. We had to move from our original site because the folks next to us had their slide open and ours wouldn't open next to them. If they reduced the cost and didn't place folks so close to each other, I would have ranked this a 10. It's a great overnight spot. We camped here in a Motorhome.

It gripes me to pay this much money for a night, now I will look at it two ways. When I had kids, and we got limited time during the year, not a problem. But now that I'm on a fixed income and traveling eight months out of the year i average about 20 a night. Back to the campground, its nice, clean and new, but in this area it will be hard to sustain the price for overnighters without some kind of discount PA GS or something or else it will fall into the perms. and all the junk that goes with it. My main reason for stopping here was two working partners that I had worked with were here on a monthly rate, so we stopped here for a mini reunion. This is a fairly new campground. All the sites are large with paved pads with grass at each site. The restrooms were tiled and clean. It appears that this may be a park with some permanent sites as the rules for pets indicate you must have prior approval to have a house pet. They do not have the pool finished and the store was not stocked yet. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We only camped here overnight. It was also fairly easy access from I-99 We camped here in a Motorhome.

We have stayed here several times but this will be our LAST. We arrived in a motorhome and temps were above 105. Once settled, we went to the pool to cool off. Two couples were in the pool consuming alcohol and smoking. There were 3 kids in the pool, about 9-13 years old. They were well mannered and considerate. After watching one man consume 3 beers, (they had a cooler at the pool), in about 30 minutes. He yelled at the kids to get out of the pool because they weren't old enough. There was a sign saying NO KIDS UNDER 14 without parent. Fair enough. Next to that sign it said: NO ALCOHOL. Found out the two couples WORKED at the resort. Reported it to the owner, who said she would "look into it" but she knew who it was before we even told her. We will NOT be back and encourage everyone else to avoid this "resort". We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here on a through trip to northern California. This is a true RV Resort. The cafe was really great with wonderful food. We met friends from the area for dinner and had a great time. The sites were nice with grass adjacent to the gravel parking area. We would definitely return if we were in the area. One note: if you exit the expressway heading south to White Lane, to make the right turn to White Lane, there are 2 turn lanes: stay in the left lane. This is the third time we have stayed at this park. It is clean, modern, and well designed. The sites are gravel and level. We stayed in a pull-through site and it was large enough to accommodate our 36 foot motorhome with the “toad” connected. The staff has always been very friendly and the food at the on-site restaurant/bar is very good (especially the "stinky fries" with Gorgonzola cheese!). We would stay here again. Just a great park in Bakersfield with fairly easy on/off from St.Hwy.99. Good grass coverage between sites but a little sprinkler work looked to be in order to me. Maybe they hadn't repaired them all from the winter, although Bakersfield did get quite a bit of rain this year. Ag base type gravel on the RV parking area and then a nice concrete patio. Big drawback however is the dearth of picnic tables. Did not see a lot but the ones they did have looked to used by long term people. Good thing we had our own portable table. On site restaurant is about one of the best places to eat in Bakersfield. I had a Fillet that was mouth watering and you could almost cut it with my fork. Great bar area with Micro Brew beer from Bakersfields own microbrewery. Bathrooms are awesome as is the heated pool and spa. Free coffee and newspapers in the morning...great! Camping Word and Stiers RV right down the street for repairs and supplies. I would recommend this park to anybody traveling through the central valley. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice park that we always use when passing through town. Has a good restaurant, friendly staff. I always mark it down for the dirty decomposed granite around the sites. I have stayed here several times before, and would give a 10, but things have slipped a little (possibly due to winter months). It's easier to access this campground from White Lane rather than Panama Lane exits. Sites are nice except the decomposed granite for pads gets everywhere. Trees will eventually grow into shade trees, but I get a space that the front door is always shaded, especially in the summer. Park is clean and well kept. Easy to maneuver around in the park. Employees/hosts have always been friendly and willing to help. Pool was nice, spa could use a little help this weekend. Restaurant has good food and a well priced happy hour. Store has a few items campers would need, but Camping World and stores are all around the park. Some traffic noise but I have been to much worse campgrounds. Some have complained about the roosters next to the campground, but they have not bothered me. Some say it's a bit pricey, but you are taken care of here if you speak up. Coffee/hot chocolate available all day and the 3 o'clock cookie is a nice treat. Some holidays there are family events held in the park. I will keep returning here as long as they keep treating me well. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Relatively new park with little shade but extremely clean and uncluttered. Probably not a good place to be in the summer. We were looking for a winter retreat site and found it pricey and pretentious. Long-termers are relegated to the perimeter sites next to a busy road. The traffic noise didn't bother us, but our coach is well insulated and due to the cold weather, we weren't outside much. Lots of planned activities if you desire that sort of thing. Great place. What more could you want in a small place. There is a small store, friendly employees, level sand sites, nice pool and hot tub. The showers and restrooms are immaculate and there is a masseuse on site. The Crest Bar and Grill in the main building is great and even has music most nights. This was one of the best (if not the best) RV parks we have stayed in yet! The resort is pretty new, so the facilities are in very good shape. There was plenty of space at our pull-through site for a 33' long motorhome with 2 slides plus a tow car. We were helped by a very friendly staff at the office. The supply store/gift shop is well stocked with all sorts of items. There's even a full service restaurant attached to the office building. Menu looks great (though we only had breakfast, the biscuits & gravy were good). They even offer a daily happy hour with reduced price appetizers & drinks. There is even a spa, a massage parlor, and a putting green if you want! Internet cafe is nice as well. Bathrooms were sparkling clean with nice hot water and good pressure. Whirlpool is nice as well as the pool. There is a dog walk area here, too. The resort is located along a main road (not an interstate highway) so a little car and road noise can be heard. This was the only reason I gave a 9 rating and not a perfect 10. But this place is as close to perfect as I've seen. Camping World is located across the street and there are a number of good restaurants nearby. I highly recommend Bakersfield RV Resort and would stay here again in a heartbeat next time I'm in town. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Very nice park. Cement pads with grass between sites. We stayed at site #120, a pull through site. There was a valet to lead you to the site. Very clean. On a busy road, but we did not hear much noise. Stellar things about this resort is the restaurant. Food is great, and they will deliver to your site if you do not want to go into the restaurant to eat! A local paper is delivered to your day each day, if you request it. There are cookies available each day. They also have private showers with locking doors. Our only criticism is that there were a minimum number of picnic tables. Our site did not have one. We did hear train noise during the day, but nothing in the middle of the night. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

The best way to describe this park is that it's a hotel where you bring your own room. It's not a campground. The facilities were the same as an upper mid grade hotel; very good restaurant; bar; pool etc. All facilities were very clean. The staff was very helpful. When the World Series didn't show up on the TV, the front desk supervisor fixed it in less than 5 minutes. The place is relatively new so there's no shade to speak of. The only negative is the proximity to CA-99 and a railroad line made it a bit noisy. The trains were very infrequent though so it wasn't a big issue to us. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. We stayed here on our way home from Lancaster as we headed to the Sacramento area. This is the first park that we have ever rated a 10. Frankly, would have given this park a higher rating if it were not for two problems. One, the scale on RV park reviews doesn't go any higher and two, there was no picnic table at our site. The restaurant, made up for there not being any picnic table. The food at the restaurant surpasses anything I have ever had at any sort of RV park or truck stop before. I would rate the restaurant a 4 out of 5 stars. And the only reason for that is because that I know there are those in the world that won't give a 5 star rating unless the dress is formal. The steak and the chicken were both exquisite and for a great price too. We will definitely be back here again. Happy camping! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Grass is nice to have between sites. Restrooms and showers are first class. Would probably look for another campground if we came to Bakersfield again during the cooler season (non-AC/open window time of year), one that is away from traffic noise. Hwy 99 is nearby, but Wible Road seems to be used as a drag strip at night. Sites along the back wall (back-ins) have some shade while the rest of the campground is out in the full sun. There is a restaurant on premises that we did not try, and they will deliver to your site. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The minute we pulled into this park we knew that it was going to be more than we expected and it was. The park is perfect in almost every way, from the very personable check-in process, including escort to the site, to the nicely paved roads and wide, long and paved sites. There is a great pool, jacuzzi, exercise room and best of all, a real full-service restaurant with a menu, bar, excellent food and service. I only stopped for overnight but was tempted to stay longer. The customer service I received from the front desk was excellent. When I checked in, I heard people having fun in the restaurant and bar: wanted to join them! Nice pool area, the Wi-Fi worked great as well as the cable TV. Once the trees have matured, there will be decent shade I would think. I will stay here again anytime I am in Bakersfield which is my usual stop between Arizona and California. This is a relatively new cg but its on its way to becoming a great cg. The grounds are clean, level and on the property they have a great restaurant and a decent work out area. This was our second stay in this park, and again just an overnight. The park is exceptional, very nice, with friendly and helpful staff. There is a restaurant on site, but it closed early due to the Independence Day holiday. Showers were very nice, and very clean, and a newspaper was delivered to our site in the morning. I liked this place before leaving home. Promptly received nice e-mail conformation letter telling about amenities instead upfront or cancelation fees or park rules. Easy access from freeway. Camping World just outside entrance of park. Upon entering the resort is a wide check-in area. Very friendly staff. Restrooms were like a fancy hotel resort with decorative tile and marble countertops all with modern touchless dispensers.Pool/spa clean with perfect temps. On site restaurant had excellent happy hour deals with delicious food. Nice computer station with supplied computers. Very well kept fairly new park. Well planned and laid out sites. It has one area called battleship row for the big rigs. We chose not to stay in that area because we wanted to have our stern toward the afternoon sun. Wanted to avoid putting up the window coverings because of a relatively short stay and my gross indolence. Our site was a not a big rig site but worked just fine for us. Wow! This is a perfect resort park if you're traveling on Hwy 99; especially, if you're looking for a great place to over-night and do not want to un-hook. It is very easy off and on the freeway (but 3 blocks west, hence no noise). They have at least 80 60' to 70' pull-throughs and, most importantly, they have a really good restaurant/bar located in the clubhouse. There is a very nice pool and spa and a beautiful outside patio (attached to the restaurant) with lots of seating and an outside fireplace. They have every amenity (except tables on the patios), but great Cable TV, 50 amp, great Wi-Fi, as well as a bank of at least 5 computers to use in the clubhouse,and nice concrete patios surrounded by a grassy area. Sites are compressed dirt, very level, and the roads are paved This is not a destination park as, let's face it, it's in Bakersfield. But what a great place for over-night. It would also be perfect for rallies and/or large parties. Great place! We camped here in a Motorhome.

Came to this park for a rally and was very happy that they held the rally here. Service has been exceptional and the people working here are going out of their way to make sure everyone is treated well. The sites are very level and just large enough for the RV, the tow vehicle or towed is parked in front on the street. Has not been a problem and with the wide streets there is enough room. This was our first stop on our cross country trip. The sites are fine gravel and are large and level with grassy areas in between. The owners are friendly and accommodating, allowing us to receive a needed repair part for our RV. There is a Camping World right down the street. If you stay at the south end of the park, you may be bothered by the roosters crowing at all hours. The rate is $39.00 per night. Rate with Good Sam is $35.10. Weekly stay is $234.00. I hate to disagree with the reviewer from November, but this is an excellent park. The staff was outstanding. We asked for and received our morning paper. Yes, there is sand in the parking area, but even with a Golden Retriever, we had very little sand in our motorhome. The Crest Bar and Grill on site is great. We had both poo-poos and dinner on another night. Service was great, and the food was super. There were a lot of "folks" dining the night we were there-and it seemed as though service was quick and efficient. The reception area which also serves as a "small store" was very pleasant and a reasonable amount of items were for sale. Yes, we heard the roosters in the morning, but it was better than hearing trains or planes roaring nearby. We would definitely stay here the next time we are in the area. It is very accessible from CA 99. There is a shopping center about 1-1/ miles away for shopping needs. Try this park. We think you will like it. It is only about 2 years old. It was formally a Drive In Theater. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I hate to downgrade a park I rated so high less than a year ago but I must. We stopped here for a night on the way to Las Vegas and then a week later on the way home. On both stays we found the pet litter receptacle overflowing and no morning paper and the sand is impossible to keep out of the coach. In addition, there is a chicken farm/horse stable on the south end of the park that is noisy and smells very bad. While I know this is not controllable by the park, it does exist and will influence any future stays. Staff is very nice but the restaurant and gift shop have slipped a little too. This facility can rightly call itself a resort as it provides all the amenities one would expect in a resort, such as pool, exercise room, restaurant, etc. Wi-Fi was free with good signal at each site. Cell phone access and cable TV great. Each site had a lawn and concrete pad, though picnic tables were missing at most sites. Park is new and it will be some time before the trees at each site are large enough to provide the much needed shade in hot Bakersfield. Registration Office attractive and provides coffee and cookies. Office personnel courtesy and helpful. The only negative for me was the free newspaper delivered to the occupants step arrived at about 8:00 am just as we were leaving. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This RV resort is truly a resort (unlike many who use the term). Concrete sites are level and spaced well. The restaurant will deliver to your door and has good food. Everyone who works there is extremely friendly and helpful. The pool is clean and resort-like, and the exercise room has the same feel. Kids are welcome, but they do not dominate the resort. There is a city park within walking distance to take dogs (though there were many off-leash dogs there). It is located in an urban area, which is safe and near a Wal-Mart and Starbucks (about 1 mile away). This is by far one of the nicest RV parks we have experienced. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Terrific park! We stayed here while getting some work done on our MH at CW. Simple check in, nice pool, and well maintained facility are just a few of the great assets of this park. They have a nice restaurant that is nice enough that many locals tell us they go there just to eat. If you want, they offer free delivery to your RV. They even provide you with a free newspaper on your doorstep every morning. We didn't notice any road noise at night, and only heard the train once. The next morning we were going to go to CW, but one of our hydraulic jacks wouldn't raise up. A very nice gentleman in a golf cart (not sure if he is the owner, manager, or employee) got a 6 foot long pry bar we could borrow to get the jack raised. It worked and we were on our way. We were planning on going back home after the work was done on our MH, but we liked the park so much, we decided to stay one more day. I would also like to add that if you don't have a computer with you for their wifi, they have four computers inside that are already logged in for use. If I ever come through Bakersfield again, I would definitely stay here again. I don't give out many tens because I feel there is always room for improvement. So my real rating is 9.5 with the only drawback being lack of shade. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The DG (decomposed granite) surface was not a problem for us, since there is grass and a concrete pad to the side of every site. The restaurant on site is excellent. Workout room is small, but the equipment is top-notch and brand new. In fact, everything is new (park is one year old). Our only complaint (and the reason we're not giving it a 10) was highway noise -- it seemed louder at night, probably due to the wind direction. We highly recommend this park, even it you go a bit out of your way to stay here. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a nice campground. I saw this one being built and thought, "Why build a campground here? It will never work". Was I wrong. We stopped here on the way down to San Diego and again on our way back. It is not too far off of Highway 99 and easy to get to. The check in staff are fantastic, as are all the help we encountered. Sites are up to 70' long so you can keep the toad hooked up. WiFi is strong and easy to access. There are other campgrounds in the area, but for the slightly ($4) higher price, this is the one! It would be a great facility for a rally. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We were very pleased to find out that this RV Resort had opened up in this area. They offer so many amenities, you really have no need to go anywhere else. This park will be very beautiful after all the trees grow. The staff from the registration desk to the maintenance workers were all very friendly and helpful. The park was relatively quiet until the morning rush hour but after awhile it was not noticeable. The sites are decomposed granite with a concrete pad at the entry door. We had our MH washed and thought at first there was going to be a huge mess, to our amazement, all the water soaked right in with no run off. I was pleasantly surprised. We did use the laundry facilities and they were very nice and adequate. We unfortunately did not eat at the restaurant so we cannot comment on it. We will definitely stay here again. This excellent new park has great potential. When the trees grow and offer more shade and if it is kept up as it is now, it will be one of the best in the area. The owners have done all they could to create a first class RV Park. There are however, a few areas, which will require close attention. The bathrooms/showers are very nice, but might require high maintenance to keep up and a single toilet in the men’s room might not adequately service everyone when in need. The constant traffic noise from nearby Highway 99 is a detractor, however is not uncommon along this busy highway, and after a while tends to blend in and become somewhat acceptable. Overall, this is a fine facility and only promises to get better. We camped here in a Motorhome.

As others have stated, this is a really nice, new RV resort. One of the more impressive RV check in office/stores I've seen. More like checking in at an upscale resort hotel! All facilities/buildings are first rate. The on site restaurant is really nice, and the food that we got from there was excellent. In fact, I had one of the best hamburgers I've ever had there! The Gargonzola burger. Highly recommend it! Interior roads are nicely paved. Sites are decomposed granite, which can be a bit messy. Sites are good size, with a nice concrete patio and grass area. Free Cable TV, exercise facility, and Wi-Fi are an added bonus. Only negative, and the reason we didn't give it a 10, is the road noise - but that's typical for any campground that is conveniently located near major highways. Hard to get highway convenience and quiet at the same time. This is a really well done RV resort. All the staff were super friendly and made us feel very welcome. This location was excellent - we stayed just one night on our way home from Oregon to San Diego. The staff and security were very nice. The property was very clean, even the bathrooms were very nicely decorated. Wished there was a dog run for the boys - if there was it would have got a 10 out of 10. There is a restaurant on site. The pool area is very nice and there's a small 9-hole pitching area. Some spaces apparently have their own hot tubs. Well worth the $35. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is an RV park in an urban setting, but it's extremely quiet, close to, but does not back up to the freeway and it beautiful. We were lucky enough to get to stay here on opening weekend, and they treated us to all sorts of entertainment and free goodies. It ALMOST made the heat of Bakersfield tolerable! The clubhouse and restaurant are beautiful, the sites, though simple and not very big, are clean and they even manage to keep the grass green in that heat. This is a very new park – very clean and well maintained, with the NICEST showers and bathrooms we have ever seen (tiled showers with glass doors), attached to a workout/gym area. Hosts are very helpful. Restaurant associated with the park (off the lobby) looked very nice, although we did not use the facility. It seemed to be very busy, and very popular, the night we were there. Wifi (free) at the campsites, and PCs available for guest use in the main building. Pool area was also exceptionally nice. Gravel pads with concrete patio and a little grass, although the trees are small, since the park just opened in April. We camped 1 night (overnight stop on a long trip) with no pets. I found Bakersfield RV Park via Google. We were pleasantly surprised to find out it is new with ample spaces available. The office staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. We chose a back-in and it was steps from the pool/spa, bathrooms, laundry and restaurant. Everything is spotless. All sites are sand with grass, 50 AMP, new trees. The food and prices in the restaurant are wonderful. They even offer food service to the coach! ( I have arrived!!) and a newspaper at the door. There is a local train but we have not found it disturbing. We highly recommend this park and will return when we can. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a real resort, complete with a fantastic restaurant. The pool is clean, big, and very inviting on a hot day. The restrooms are cleaner than any we have seen even in fancy hotels and there is a small exercise room/gym. If you are passing through Bakersfield and need a place to stay this is it. The only drawback may be the railroad and highway noise but if you are there in the summer you probably will have your windows closed and the AC on so these will be minimal. The owners are definitely trying their best to make this a first-class park and they have succeeded. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We arrived at this Park during the lunch hour. The sign said to pick your space and register when the office re-opened. The sites are rather strange and you park nose to bumper with another unit or if they aren't full, you have the whole site. When we went up to the office, we were told that we'd have to move as that site was reserved. No barricades were in the entrance or exit of this particular site. We left. We stayed here one night driving between Sacramento and Palm Springs. It is right off 99 with very easy access. You can reserve a spot on their website. The cashier claimed that in the future they will not be giving AAA discount but they still gave me one. The cable TV did not work, however, within one hour a handy man cleaned out the connection and installed a new connector and it worked great. The desk clerk told me to not even try to connect to the internet and I noticed even my i-phone couldn't get a connection, so don't count on that. The sites are decomposed granite which tracks into your RV constantly. They had an adorable Pottyland fenced grass area for pets. Overall, it's a great overnight stop for $25/night. It's nothing fancy, but has convenient access to highways 99 and I-5. Not too much highway noise; surrounded by fields on the other 3 sides. Lots of motorcycle noise from permanent residents! All sites are pull-throughs, with one section just for overnighters. Grass is only at the ends of each row; sites are entirely gravel, with a few trees that are too small to provide any shade. Sites are wide and long; lots of space! Free Wi-Fi was very flakey, and didn't work most of the time (management was waiting for their supplier to get replacement parts in stock). $25 price includes Good Sam discount. We have stayed at this park overnight twice every year for the past 2 years when traveling between Northern Calif and Arizona each winter. We were pleased to find a park which allows us to bypass the congestion through Bakersfield. It is right off Hwy 99 and also convenient to I-5 when traveling east to west through the small town of Arvin. The park is very clean with easy pull-through, wide, gravel sites even though there are many fulltime residents. The office has a small selection of groceries and movie rentals and the staff is friendly. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Reserving a space at this campground requires that you call the Kern County parks department during a very narrow window of time (8 AM - 12 PM weekdays only), and it took many attempts and one very long on-hold period to get through to the person handling reservations. The reservation staffer who answered was not rude as such, but their tone and attitude was very much "I'd rather be doing anything but talk to this person right now." Upon arrival at the site, be prepared for the extra $15/day fee ($12/day off-peak) to park a towed or separately-drive vehicle at your camp site. The frequently-asked questions PDF on the campground website states that 2 motor vehicles are allowed at the camp site and that the first vehicle is included in the reservation price. Unfortunately they consider a motorhome to be the first vehicle, and a towed/separately-driven vehicle is subject to the additional fee. The camp sites were nicely maintained, with simple but adequate grass landscaping. The campsites have large, mature trees that provide shade for the picnic and common areas, but that do not overhang the camper pull-throughs. There is a nice picnic area with fire ring for each campsite, and campers are advised on check-in where to keep their camping gear so as to not get it soaked by sprinklers each morning. There is a heavy insect presence at this campground, owing primarily to being next to a large body of water in a warm climate. Bring insect repellent and/or a bug zapper - you WILL need it! If you need to buy these or other supplies, the nearest shopping is in Taft, CA or Bakersfield metro, about 18 miles either West or East respectively of the campground. The park does have a small supply store, but their inventory is very limited. The campsite was quiet on the Thursday we arrived and through Friday. Saturday and Sunday however were a whole other matter, as campers with watercraft were starting and running their watercraft at their campsites prior to taking them to the boat launch. The campground would do well to disallow this activity in the camping areas. There is an enforced quiet period, but that only applies from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM. In conclusion, this park operated by Kern County is a reasonably nice facility, but there are a number of drawbacks that would make me hesitant to stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We enjoyed the campground the evening we arrived. There were spaces available even on Thanksgiving weekend at this lakeside county park. When we woke up in the morning, though, the wind had shifted, and they were dumping dairy sludge on fields less than a mile away. The stench was unbearable, so we left immediately. This campsite is nice. It has a lot of grassy areas, trees, and a little bit of shade. There is also a nice play area if you have children. However, the lake is small and muddy, and not ideal/ potentially dangerous for swimmers with the boats on the water. We camped there in October and with just a few boats on the water. The water is choppy and is not good for wakeboarding. If your main purpose is to wakeboard, this is not the ideal place for you to camp. In addition, they erroneously gave us the wrong campsite and then made us move even after we had all of our chairs, tents up. They did not try to accommodate or compensate us for our troubles even though it was their mistake. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The campground at Buena Vista Aquatic park was not very busy at the end of February so we had a choice spot at the lake front where waterfowl were literally foraging in the grassy area at the waters edge and right in front of our campsite. The view of Lake Webb as the sun was setting was awesome as was the view, on the other side of the lake, of the snowcapped Temblor Range. A 35 mile drive to the other side of this mountain range is the Carizzo Plain national monument. Buena Vista park was a great overnight stop and the drive through the town of Arvin to Tehachapi Pass in our 31' MH was scenic and an easy drive. We will definitely make a return trip. This is one of the nicest and best mantained parks we stay at. Great staff, clean restrooms and laundry, adequate fitness room and large level sites. All of this and free dougnuts and coffee in the morning and fresh off the tree oranges in the winter. We go out of our way to stay here and recommend that others do also. We arrived after the office closed, but the instructions were very easy to follow. Since we only stayed the night and left early the next day, all we wanted was a level spot with hookups. We rely on this rv park as an overnight stop when passing through Bakersfield. All gravel area means some tracking into your rig, but sites are spacious, and everything works. The WiFi is excellent. The sweet smell of orange blossoms welcomes you to this park. Surrounded by orange groves, with sites separated by sculpted orange trees, arriving here was a welcomed sight. Park is clean, well maintained, and has all pull throughs, free Wi-Fi, phone sites, a pool, laundry, showers, and restrooms. Propane is available at $2.50/gal. Great for an overnight stop. Easy off/on highway 58. Lots of large, clean sites. Cable & free WiFi worked great. Some traffic noise from Edison Rd, but little from the freeway. Some train whistles, but pretty far away - didn't disturb us at night. Orange trees were in bloom - flowers and bees may be a problem this time of year for those with severe allergies. Free coffee and a doughnut at the office in the morning. Shell truck stop with cheapest diesel at the next exit to the west of the park (2 miles). We would definitely stay here again. This is the park we stayed overnight on our very first RV trip. It was great then as it is now. Coffee and doughnuts at the office in the morning. Easy to find from California 58. And the oranges right from the many trees, though now mostly gone, are sweet unlike any you can buy in a store. All pull-through sites. There is free Wi-Fi and many cable TV stations. Yes, you can pick oranges from trees at your site! Extremely well maintained facility and hospitable management. Access roads to the sites are paved but the sites are gravel and level. Easy freeway access and exit with local restaurants and services 1 exit, approximately 2 miles, away. We have used this park several times and never been disappointed. The park is set in among an orange grove and if you're there at the right time you can pick delicious oranges right off the trees for your personal use. The office staff are pleasant and helpful. Free coffee and donuts are available in the office every morning. There are two computers in the office that guests can use which came in handy for us as we had a sick laptop. The Wi-Fi reception can be spotty so if that's important to you make sure to request a site with good reception. The laundry room has got to be the cleanest and best one in an RV park that I have ever used. High efficiency front loading machines make doing a load of laundry a pleasure! The park also has an area for washing cars and RVs that we appreciate very much. The train noise seemed a little louder this time to me for some reason, but that's the only negative thing I can think of. We would definitely use this park again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

A great stay at a great park. This park is well maintained and a pleasure to walk around. Upon arrival, the front desk had the reservation forms of all 7 of the rigs in our group ready to sign and pay. The park has all pull through sites and is easy to park for even the biggest of RVs. We have camped at Orange Grove RV Park twice now, and I am sure we will camp there again. Very nice park, friendly staff, and free oranges in season! The only issue we have had is with the free Wi-Fi. It is certainly free, but you have to be in the sites fairly close to the antennas in order to get any reasonable signal. Otherwise, a great park. I agree with the other reviews--this park has one of the best layouts we have ever seen, and the fresh oranges are wonderful. Very friendly and helpful staff. The only reason I did not give this park a 10 is for the fitness center. We like to use a fitness center for the weight equipment--we can get our aerobic exercise other ways. The fitness center has a all-in-one weight machine that must have been purchased at El Cheapo Mart and was virtually useless. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We pass through Bakersfield fairly often, but this was the first time we stayed at Orange Grove. We will definitely stay here from now on. We came in late Christmas eve and they had our site and paperwork ready for us. The ladies working Christmas morning were very helpful and friendly. The sites and roads are all wide and easy to get into. The site was long enough for our 34 Ft class A and the tow behind so we did not have to unhook. There are orange trees between every site and we were allowed to pick the oranges. They were fabulous! The free WI-FI and TV worked great and the bathrooms were some of the nicest we have ever seen. Everything was clean. They have a nice looking swimming pool and an exercise room, but we did not use those. We camped here in a Motorhome.

It is an awesome park. I absolutely loved it. It features large, level and extremely well kept sites. This park shows pride of ownership and the staff is wonderful. This was a very nice good-size park with very nice workers. The park is well kept up. The sites are very long and plenty wide. Each site has an orange tree. The novelty factor here is great--how often does one get to sleep with the perfume of orange blossoms wafting in one's RV windows? However, the easy access from Hwy 58 = road noise, and I had a picture of more trees separating and shading the sites. Sites are pretty darn close together and many trees are tiny. Certainly not a 4-paws up dog campground--just some area on the perimeter, in the dirt, with trash cans. No bags, no grass. Why is it that campgroundss have a "no dogs on the grass" policy? I get it when the off-limits grass is by the people facilities, but why can't they plant some grass for the dogs? I'm just sayin'. It makes a difference. There are big facility for groups here; lots of retirees and Class As, which is fine, but not our cup o' tea. We are partial to campgrounds with lots of kinds of people and vehicles. We planned on staying a night, then switched that to a week, and now we're into our second week here. It is SO cool to be right in among the orange trees. Even though we're here a little early for them to be ripe, the manager gave us permission to pick a few and the ones we've picked taste great! How cool is it to step out of your trailer and pick an orange to eat? The bathrooms and showers are the cleanest (and largest) we've seen on our trip so far. The lodge is very cool looking and we've enjoyed watching our DVDs on their large screen TV. The only reason I didn't give them a 10 is because the pool table and exercise room both say nobody under 18 allowed. It would be nice if they said nobody under 18 without parent present, or something like that. Would we stay here again? If we're anywhere near Bakersfield, there's nowhere else we'd stay. We stayed here on the way from the SF Bay Area to Las Vegas/Grand Canyon/Tucson. Very easy access from Hwy 58. Very nice check in people. I would not call what they have a “store” but they had a few items one might need. Our site was a pull through with a nice wide access, picnic table and full hookups including Wi-Fi. We got there right at the end of Orange season. There were fresh oranges on our table when we arrived and picked a few more to take with us. The bathroom and showers were the best I have ever seen! Very clean and well lit. Tile everywhere! Heck the bathroom in my house is not that clean! We liked this place so much we booked them for a night on our return trip. On the return trip there were lots of one/two night RVs. Very friendly people and everyone loved the campground. I would recommend this park for anyone traveling through the area. We stayed here for two nights while passing through the area. The park is located outside the city limits with easy access to Highway 58. The railroad is nearby but the trains hardly ran at all. The sites are average with many pullthroughs. There are a number of permanent residents but they are clustered together in a different area then the folks traveling through and there didn't appear to be "junk" rigs. The park was formerly an orange grove and the owners have left a lot of the orange trees in place. You can borrow an orange picker and pick all the oranges you'd like when in season. The showers were spacious and clean if you choose to use them. The pool was opened but not heated. There is a lodge with large-screen TV and pool table which we used each evening and were the only people there. Coffee and donuts are available in the morning. The one drawback was that the sites were sandy and it was hard not to track the sand into the rig. Be sure to visit the fruit stand just around the block which has a large variety of nuts and fruit for purchase. I would stay here again if passing through. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We only stayed here one night, but it seemed like a good place. The sites in the pull through area we were in were large and roomy. The orange trees were full of oranges which we were allowed to pick for our "immediate use". I camped here for three nights on my way south from Oregon, for a break before tackling the LA mess. I loved this park, very friendly and helpful staff. They took a lot of time, explaining my questions. Big plus for me are the nice wide, long, pull through sites. And all the orange trees you could wish for, two at every site, hope to stay when they are ripe in December or January. Good Wi-Fi and cable TV. I would have rated this a 10 if there was a spa. But it will be my destination park again, when heading south or back up north. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We always stay here when going into or coming out of the Mojave Desert. Trains seemed particularly loud this stay though noise was covered up by turning on the fan only on the a/c. Stayed several times and this was the first time we noticed the trains during the night; possibly the spot we were in this time vs the other stays. This is a great campground, especially for overnighting. The long wide pull-throughs make it possible to stay hooked up. Clean and all systems working. I stayed in a newer section with reasonably level pull thru, (As are all sites). The woman in the office was very nice, and polite. When she learned I had much laundry to do, she placed me right across from the laundry building so I didn't have to walk far. It is good as a "service" park, for those wanting full amenities, but it is a classic large RV park with packed closely pull troughs, divided by Orange trees spaced far apart. Pet area leaves a bit to be desired, it's a perimeter walk among densely packed orange trees and very buggy. Good for a road haven or overnighter, but not a "Destination". We found the park very clean and quiet. Overnighters such as us were spaced well apart, with no bunching up. We stated we had been here before, and they took another $4 off the price, although we were no longer in their computer. We always stay here when driving through Bakersfield, and feel this is the best park with the largest most private spaces. The perimeter of the park is perfect for walking your dog. The information on this park's website is grossly misrepresented. There was no hot water in the showers. There is no "well-stocked country store." The country store consists of a few shelves in the office with a scarce supply of canned food and a few RV supplies, none of which we could use. The "coffee room" mentioned in their beautiful 4-color brochure is a table in the corner of the office where coffee and doughnuts are offered. If you are a tea drinker, you're out of luck. We have camped here for many years with our RV club but if you are not with a club it is quite expensive for what you get. The store inside the office has been taken out. Totally not worth the price. We wanted to stay for a month, but they had no monthly sites available. We stayed 2-1/2 weeks, paid ghastly rates. Also they bunch all of the overnights together in one small area, the area we were in, so there was constant traffic and noise with large parts of the park vacant. The staff was very unfriendly. This is just an average park. The staff was not nasty or overly friendly (a plus for me). The sites are mostly dirt/crushed rock and not very level. Hardly a blade of grass anywhere. There are trees but not shade. A parking lot with trees as mentioned by others. The pet area was muddy from the irrigation of the orange trees with standing puddles that smelled. Appeared to be an after thought or way to discourage pets. The facilities appeared clean but I don't use them. The tap water was a strange cloudy color but tap water in California is frequently not pristine. There was noise from the farm road and freeway and trains. It was only about a third full but everyone was bunched together. Presumably because of the Wi-Fi access that was poor even though we were very near the office (space 137). The uniqueness of being able to pick oranges December to March maybe attractive for some. I would stay here again for the oranges perhaps or if I was passing through and really needed a place to pull off. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We camped in the park for a group gathering with 3 other rigs. The park is one of the nicer ones in Bakersfield area, clean, good maintenance of sites, fixtures and should rate a 9 or 10. Orange trees are nice touch. Campground is big, roomy and spaces are not too close together. However, we cannot give more than a 6 rating. Our complaint is about the office staff and hours. The hours are from 8-10 in the AM, and 2-6 in PM. What kind of office hours are those for travelers? Most travelers like to arrive late afternoon or early evening. The staff is not accommodating or courteous. Their attitude toward the customers that support their business is one that borders on rudeness. The (older)ladies in the office could certainly use some training in customer service skills. The management should find clerical staff that understand that travelers like us pay their bills and their salaries. A friendly, considerate staff makes more of an impression than a "polished" campground. Listen up, ladies, and wise up. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

The park is riddled with awful oranges left over from the seasons best. Management makes its clear by putting a note in everyones box that they are to keep their area clean themselves. The rent is high, so why make the owners of recreation vehicles do their work. Some of us came after the oranges were good, so we do the work, for no oranges. The woman manager is rude to everyone. We were leaving the state, and moved for the last 10 days in Calif. due to her not allowing even a small new dog pen outside. Ordering it to be removed. Dog weighted only one pound, and we feared for it, and were potty training. She has no people skills. Park has very clean bathroom with showers, and laundry room that has machines that are always out of order. Park was half empty. We will not be back. We stayed in a fifth wheel. Have reviewed this park before and in my opinion for the rates that they charge it is no longer worth it. $37 nite for the outskirts of Bakersfield and $33 with Good Sam and other cards??? The park has sites of loose pea gravel, orange blossoms & leaves and mud when it rains to track into your rv. We arrived shortly before 7pm on a weekday and the office was closed. They want you to find your site from a map and then pay them the full rate and do everything yourself and if you don't have the correct change or want to use a credit card (card users have to pay the $37 rate) then you are out of luck - give me a break! We came for the oranges, and we weren't disappointed. Every site has at least one tree; the oranges were at their peak. We have never tasted oranges this good: sweet and juicy. To reach the oranges you need a special long picking tool, which the office will lend you, only for 30 minutes, to restrict the number of oranges you pick. That is enough time to pick a case of oranges! The Good Sam rate is $33; for repeat visitors they charge less. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

I dont know why everyone is giving this park such high scores. It is basically a gravel parking lot with a few small trees in it. We stayed here for a few days and you couldn't use the bathroom in the mornings because they took so long to clean them! Yes, they are spotless, but that is because they are hardly used and cleaned to perfection every day. The staff were not friendly, you couldn't sit outside your trailer because anyone coming in would cover you in dust and there were no garbage bins on site just one dumpster at the exit. In the dog walk the bins were overflowing and smelly. I couldn't wait to leave this place and would not return. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

I reviewed this one with a "9" back in Oct. of 2004. I just stayed again and want to downgrade to a "7". Park's water system was pumping fine red dirt particles which plugged up my filter system. Nobody at the office said anything about this problem. Also, you can pay a "weekly" rate, or a "daily" rate. If you are visiting the area and aren't sure just how many days you'll be staying - you're in trouble because you have to "pre-pay" for the days and they don't refund if you leave early. I left town early and lost 50 bucks. No big deal, but kind of kinky seeing as how it is the "off season" and 90% of the park was empty. Come to think of it, let me downgrade even further to a "6" because of this policy in the off season! Park is still nice, with big motor home spaces. We camped here in a Motorhome.

"Big Rigs." Orange trees are neatly trimmed, so no problem for large motor homes. A few miles east of town, but not bad. Modern hook-ups, long and wide sites (gravel), paved roads. We have stayed there off and on in 2008 and 2009 for two months at a time. Most of the people are friendly you will have your bad ones of course. The manager is very nice but there have been complaints on her. We really enjoyed staying there very kid friendly, pool and play ground. Laundry facilities are reasonable and good condition. Bathrooms are clean close to every shopping area you would need and entertainment is within driving distance. Beaches, mountains all within 2 hours driving. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Rate quoted is Good Sam discount. Park has many seasonals. Sites are paved pull throughs with a concrete pad. Sewer outlet is in a raised utility island which made it awkward to place sewer hose. Wi-Fi requires a user name and password. Park has a laundry which requires a key from the office. Some joker arrived late at night and parked next to us. He parked his truck on my pad. This clown was banging away on some iron piece at 5am and idled his truck for 20 minutes while trying to hook up his fifth wheel. Hope I never cross his path again. Overall, this park served its purpose which was just an overnight stay. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is the worst campground we have ever encountered! Spaces narrow and short. If you have slide-outs you will have very little room for anything else. Highway 99 is right beside you and you certainly can hear the traffic. Stray cats in abundance. Black widow spiders everywhere. At night the smell from a local rendering plant, farmers fields, a dairy farm and the city sanitation site is overwhelming. By far the worst were the managers. The wife was unbelievable! Rude, bossy, controlling and just a plain bully. Had a rule for everything and loved to enforce them. She acted like she was the owner and we were unwanted free-loaders that she had no choice, but to lower herself to associate with. I don't think she's ever clued into the fact that she was the hireling and we were the paying guests. We have a large r.v. and drive a newer cadillac so we are far from trailer trash, yet she managed to make us feel like trailer trash would be a step up. The only good thing I can think to say is that the long term tenants were lovely and access to highway 99 was a snap. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is a well laid out, very clean RV park that’s much more a ‘parking lot’ than a ‘campground’. It had the nicest, cleanest bath/shower room of any of the places we stayed during our 16 day 3800 mile trip, but…. When I made my reservations, 3 months in advance, I told the clerk we’d be in around midnight. “No problem. There will be a note on the BB directing you to your site.” Well there was, but what they didn’t tell us was that unless you got there before the office closed (8pm?) you had no access to the bathrooms until it reopened @ 8am the next morning. Since we’re not self-contained this left us dashing across the freeway to the gas station fast/food place. We were not happy about this, but it wasn’t fatal. The park is within a hundred yard of the 99 freeway, so it was a very noisy night & we didn’t get much sleep despite not turning in until nearly 1am. We were up @ 6:30, back to the Jack In the Box, & waiting at the office door when it opened. The ‘rendering plant’ smell referred to in an earlier review was not in evidence that night. The reservation clerk had told me there’s none such in the area, but the smell could have been agricultural chemicals used on the cotton fields that surround them when I asked her specifically about it. When we went in to register, & get access to the shower, the woman behind the counter said “There’s normally a $5 deposit for the bathroom key..” I responded, “That’s fine, we’ll have it back in 10 minutes.” not realizing she hadn’t finished. She clicked her tongue, gave me “the look”, & waited for me to apologize for interrupting her. She then told me in a voice dripping with condescension that she had been going to waive the deposit. Since we now had access thru the office to the back door of the bathhouse, we didn’t’ need it anyway. We showered & escaped. I’ve no clue who (or what) she was, but we will never go back there. She had no way to know what my state of mind was, but there’s no excuse for someone in her business copping that attitude with a customer. I don’t go back to golf courses or ski resorts that act like they’re doing you a favor taking your money & allowing you to use their facilities & I certainly won’t do it at a place like this. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

Park was very clean. My only complaint is that there isn't a combination to enter the restroom, but you have to pay 5 dollars, and only receive one key. None of the tenants even if they know you are to let you into the restrooms. We had a bad experience, because of the one key, and left as soon as our monthy rent was up. Lady manager was horrible. Thought she ran a camp for prisoners, and not people who were paying her salary. Would fly off the handle for any little thing. We stayed in a 5th wheel and will never go back. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

No picnic tables. Stayed at week here with Good Sam rate. Doggie walk area-bags provided. Heavy smog almost daily; smell from fat rendering plant but nice park; close to city & shopping. Narrow paved sites; no ground or grassy area at site. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
