Actually drove through the campsite to see what it was like, but didn't camp there. It is situated on a hill across from the California Hot Springs hall and pool. That is where you go to at the desk to reserve a spot at the site. Plenty of spaces for rvs and tents. Back at the hall it is great because inside it has a restaurant with lots of eating spaces, a mini mart, antique shop and swimming pool outside with 2 hot tubs. Nice little getaway to relax at. My first stay here was ok, despite the big time bug problem during the summer. No one near our site except for one fifth wheel. It was very quiet at night, only hearing animal sounds surrounding the creek. The fire pit was small but useful. The most important thing was the peace and quiet and relaxation of camping in this area. Probably the best place to unwind in the mountains to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday city life. I shall return here again to relax and to enjoy the night. We camped here in a Tent.

One of the other poster got confused with Quail Valley down the street which is nice too.. This is a quiet CG that probably never gets full. We were their 4th of July and was about 1/3 full. There is no security, but the bathrooms are really nice. Some grass but no shade. All sites are back in. Low electric levels. Water is from the hot springs. When staying at this resort you get in to the Hot Springs for only $4 per person normal is $10. We really enjoyed our time here. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

First time to visit this park. Very relaxing weekend. Park was full, but absolutely no bothersome noises, i.e. loud music, cars, etc. Many pull through sites. Very nice stream that runs through the campground. Small playground for children. Three small ponds to "catch and release" fish in. Granddaughters had a great time. Hosts were very nice and pleasant. Hint: Bring whatever you'll need. Nearest store is about five miles away in Pine Flat. Top off your fuel in Ducor. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Very, very nice park. No phone service (not even cell) could be kind of a drag if you really need to stay in touch. T.V. reception not too good. But those hot spring baths are to die for. Just love taking our time driving up into the the sierra foothills soaking in all the wonderful scenery, then soaking in the hot bubbling tubs. Great for getting the knots out of your rope. We go there every chance we get. One of our favorite getaways. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Great place to camp. It has nice wide sites, easy back in with our 40-foot ToyHauler. Had a live band and homemade ice cream social this last Saturday. Has no cable TV, no cell phone access. Did not miss those. Was a red tailed hawk with babies in the tree right next to our site, wild turkeys walking by the roads. A great place to get away from civilization for a few days. A lot of kids and golfcarts running around. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This was a very nice park. Well kept, and very friendly camp hosts. There was a nice mix of older couples to younger couples, with many kids. My two older kids played with all the kids in the campground. Felt very comfortable for them to run semi-freely. Fishing ponds were very fun for all ages. My kids caught their first fish. They will remember this trip for years. Will certainly be back several times a year. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Park was very nice when we arrived. We had our place near the creek. Very quiet area to relax and gather your thoughts from a week's worth of hard work. I noticed 3 deer along the way towards the ponds near the entrance. Plenty of shade to keep things a bit cool during the heatwave there. The bathroom needs more work and improvement though. Also the fire pits are small but still very good use. I highly recommend this place if you want to just simply get away for a weekend to relax. We camped here in a Tent.

Older park, but very relaxing. All sites are easy backing and/or pull-through. Hosts were very nice and made us feel welcome. Bathrooms are old, but useable. Need to re-invest a little money in modernizing them. Other than that, we will return. Small fishing ponds are mostly for the kids, but had a great time watching them. Fishing is on a "catch and release basis" but the catfish can be kept for a nominal fee. Be sure to take the supplies you need, as the nearest store is about five miles. Lots of large shade trees and a beautiful stream flows through the park. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

One of the most important parts of selecting a campground is the courtesy and responsiveness of the campground during the research and reservations stage. I tried as hard as I could to get information about this site for a trip we planned where this was looking like our first choice. But, getting information from this campground was like pulling teeth. The person who occasionally responded to me was terse, disinterested and became increasingly rude as my efforts to get information continued. The websites I looked at indicated walking trails from the campground, but I was later told they did not have them. With other campground reps being polite and interested in our business, we had to decide not to go to Quail Valley. He sent us a rude response to our decision to go elsewhere. Though this campground may have some positive attributes, the staff appears to be unconcerned about getting any business. This is not what RVers are looking for or expect in a campground. Fortunately, we found out before it was too late and will be able to stay at one of the numerous other campgrounds where friendly staff and owners prevail. After all, isn't that what RVing is all about? We camped here in a Motorhome.

Great get away. Lots of fresh air, green grass, and trees. Quail Valley is a great place to camp. Large campsites, and very clean park. Fire pits at every campsite. Did I mention very well maintained. We love this campground, one of our favorite place to escape to. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We were thrilled with the large, grassy, creekside campsites. The fall folliage was beautiful. I recommend paying the five extra dollars for a creekside site. Well worth it! The sound and sight of the flowing creek was great. There is not a lot to do in the area; this is a place to come and kick back. There are ponds available for fishing. Nice, large, shaded sites. Campground has several ponds stocked with fish. Also 2 hole pitch and putt golf. Close to California Hot Springs pool (3 miles)and giant redwood grove (15 miles). Owners very friendly. Bathrooms are clean but old. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
