We stayed here for Thanksgiving weekend and had a very nice visit. Staff is friendly and helpful. Sites are small with nice hedges between them for privacy. No fire pits, but each site had a picnic table. Sites are not deep, but we fit our 37' motor home in without any problem. The location of this park is beautiful at the foot of the Carmel mountains. The negatives previous reviews have mentioned (narrow bridge, dog waste) are all accurate. After parking our motorhome, we stepped outside and right into dog waste. They seemed to be everywhere and no collection bags were available. Owner's dogs wander freely and are very nice, so we felt bad complaining. Roads between sites are very narrow and our neighbor's tow cars had to be moved so we could back into our site. Overall a nice park for an overnight stay. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Saddle Mountain RV Park is located on the side of a mountain with lots of trees and narrow roads. Once you leave the main road there isn’t really any turning around so be sure this is a road you want to travel. We were pretty amazed that the city would permit this RV Park to operate considering the maze of hazards looming at every turn. The sites were also narrower and shorter than we were used to. My husband has driven an RV for years and never faced so many obstacles. Several campers said they nearly hit trees trying to park. The most important item, if you do end up camping there is to be sure you pay attention to the road you take out of the park because it dips toward the rock wall (drain) and can easily throw your RV into wall and do a lot of damage. We camped here in a Motorhome.
