Owner/operators are a husband and wife team. We were greeted by the wife. She is wonderfully welcoming and accommodating. Unpaved interior roads and sites are large and easily negotiated. Picnic and walking area around shaded fishing lake is available to residents. Swimming pool is available to residents. Television is UHF reception only. Wi-Fi is fast. We experienced uneven electricity. Phone and cable TV are available at each site, but require service hook-up, and are not included in nightly rate. Park rules are not onerous, but are enforced. The park itself is not beautiful, but ok. It appears there are several permanent residents, which seems natural since the Yermo Marine Logistics Base is next door. There are a number of attractions nearby: Calico Ghost Town, Calico Early Man Archeological Site & Museum, Rainbow Basin, Mojave River Valley Museum, Inscription Canyon Petroglyph Site, Opal Mountain Rock Hounding Area, Mule Canyon Scenic Drive, Daggett Museum, Barstow Way Station, Goldstone Deep Space Tracking Center and Peggy Sue's 1950's Diner. We camped here in a Motorhome.
