We stayed three nights and it was a good stay. The laundry was welcome and clean as were the bathrooms. The pool was well used by the local residents. We did not use the hot tubs, but they looked clean. This is a place for people over 55 and includes many homes in addition to RV sites. In the Palm Springs/Desert Hot Springs area this is a good place to stay, although a bit on the expensive side. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a 900 unit park model senior resort development which offers a couple dozen RV sites at $49 per night. The residential areas are quite lovely; the RV area is a clean scraped dirt/sand lot with utility pedestals. Back-ins only. The office is only open a few hours each morning and closes at 2:00 pm Friday. If you arrive after that you must drive up to the RV area and pick a spot, then return to the office and deposit payment into a slot, then go set up your rig. It would have been worth the extra hassle at $25.00, but we thought $49.00 was excessive. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Loved it!!! Yes, arriving on a Saturday was frustrating because the office was closed and you only get two hours of WiFi until Monday when the office opens...and yes, the laundry card was a bit frustrating...but...loved it!!! The pool is amazing. The four hot-tubs are lovely. The pool area is very nice. Wonderfully friendly people. Well-kept park. Site was average...but it had all the hook-ups and they all worked. More important for us was the pool area and the people. Will most definitely be back!!! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Rate reflects C to C Good Neighbor rate. Very nice quite park. Pool and spas well kept. Only complaint, area designated for pet walk is accessed by a gate, which we found locked a lot of times. There is a nice pet area outside of the parks main gate. Not a good idea to arrive on Sunday as office and GATE is closed. Was not able to get code for Wi-Fi, since the office was closed. Not too happy with laundry access. Must BUY a CARD for $5 (non-refundable) and load $ on to it for washers and driers. April is not a good time to visit, unless you are very fond of WIND. Loved the two pools and 4 hot tubs. Tthe temp of the water was just right. The pools and not tubs are large. Used my 3G for WiFi. We would stay here again and again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Small campsites and extremely unleveled sand. Roads are pretty tight when attempting to entry/exit your campsite. Wifi totally useless, unless you want to use it around 3:00 am. The sand gets into everything and when the wind comes up (and it will) it's not a pleasant place to be. On the positive the pools were nice. I would not stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We actually Had 3 different rates during our stay here. The first week we got 50% off for taking the sales tour. We extended our stay by 2 nights and paid full price for them ($44/night), then it was March so we could extend again at the PA rate. We had good cell (AT&T) and our hot spot worked, which was good because their Wi-Fi is useless. Completely useless. The people are nice and the hot tubs and pools are awesome-I hated to leave. Seasonal have to buy a laundry card for $5, then load it with money. None of the machines take cash, but the office lent us a card, and we loaded it with money to use, so that was nice. I get very irritated when a park advertises Wi-Fi, but when I get there it's so slow I can't get on the web. Many of the RV sites are sand, so it gets tracked in the rig, but you can wash your rig here and my husband likes that. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is the second year we stayed at this park. Last year we stayed only two weeks; this year an entire month. It is specifically for people over 55, and the quiet reflects that. The price quoted reflects a rate for a monthly stay, not including electricity, which, if one stays for a month or more, is metered and paid for at the conclusion of one's stay. The cost of electricity for our month, mid January through mid February was $55. We have two complaints about the park. One is internet access. It is simply inadequate for the number of users. Our major complaint is the ventilation of the laundry room. I am allergic to the scent of many detergents and fabric softeners, and these scents seem to permeate the outdoor area where the mineral hot spring fed pools and hot tubs are. For this reason, we will probably not return next year. For anyone who uses these products and is not sensitive to this issue, this is a lovely park with the very nicest people. We stayed at Caliente Springs on our way to San Francisco. We intended to stay on night and enjoyed so much we stayed for 3 nights. A gorgeous and clean RV Park with lots of activities going on. The sites are quite large and give a great view of the mountains. As we planed to come back to Palm Springs for 2 weeks in January with 3 other couples, we drove around to a number of other RV Park in the Palm Springs area and decided to book at Caliente Springs because of the hot springs, the executive 9 hole golf course, the great atmosphere just to name a few. I highly recommend this RV Park We camped here in a Motorhome.

We camped at this park for one week. This is one of the quieter parks we have ever stayed at. They have 4 hot tubs and a large swimming pool. Very friendly check-in and all the residents are very friendly. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Used to be the best, but other choices have risen above. I definitely feel Caliente Springs is a good park, but there is a huge emphasis on annual visitors. Streets are tight and spaces difficult to navigate. Wi-Fi was spotty at best. Fantastic pool: truly their most best amenity. Golf course is not worth playing. Our experience was good, just not the best. A little pricey for the experience. We camped here in a Motorhome.

A giant over 55+ park, with space for overnighters scattered throughout the park. It was a little hard to maneuver our 38ft 5th wheel into the back-in sites. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. It is a great area, above Palm Springs, out of the dust storms that hit the valley, and cooler than Palm Springs, yet close enough for all the sights and activities in the valley. This park was a pleasant surprise. It's not the newest park, but the amenities were nice. The office staff was helpful and friendly. Our fellow visitors to the park were friendly as well and from all over the world. The park has very nice spring fed pools to help you soak away the aches and pains of travel and you can participate in all kind of things if you wish to. It's also a short ride to Palm Springs with all it's fine shopping, dining, etc. They gave us a nice discount, as first time visitors, and a discount coupon for our next visit. The spaces were large and flat. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a really nice park with beautiful mineral pools and hot tubs. The pools were different temperatures and so were the hot tubs, and they were very clean. Staff was friendly and helpful and I would definitely stay there again. Easy access to Palm Springs. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Our rate was a Passport America rate for 7 nights and Good Sam for 1 night. This is the nicest park we've camped at so far. The sites are fairly big with 50 amp FHU and cable TV. Wi-Fi was free for up to a month and worked OK. They had a wonderful clubhouse with exercise room, two heated swimming pools, and four hot tubs with varying degrees of temperature, a billiard room, shuffleboard courts, tennis courts and a nine hole executive golf course (extra fee). There are also many activities to join. Many sites are occupied by park models, but there were still a fair amount of RV spots available. It's close to Palm Springs and Joshua Tree National Park. We would definitely camp here again in the future. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

A 55+ resort park easily accessible off I-10. Of the 891 spaces approximately 150 are RV spots; the remainder are park models. All spaces are back in with good distance between sites. A raised concrete patio and park model residents' vehicles make maneuvering difficult but doable. All utilities worked properly with 60+ channels on the TV cable. Staff are friendly and helpful . The spa facilities (hot pools, swimming pool, rec hall, restaurant , exercise room, 9 hole golf, tennis) are immaculate and not crowded. Lots of hiking, biking, and walking opportunities for you and pets. Close to Palm Springs and environs with many activities at the park and in the area. If price is not an issue, this is a good place to “winter” or spend several days during the winter season. It is very windy most of the time-never leave an awning up unattended. A small market is located across the street from the park with groceries and propane. We have camped here many times as well as other parks in the Coachella Valley. This is the best park in the Desert Hot Springs area. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed 4 days in this 55 or better park. We fully enjoyed the two swimming pools and the four spas. In the beginning of October most of the seasonal people did not arrive yet, so the park and the pool were pretty quiet. The only thing we missed was a table on our site. Wi-Fi was nor excellent but it worked, free of charge. We will come again. The rate is the PA-rate We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is one of the worse, or maybe the WORSE campground that we have ever stayed in. The sites are not level (way off), nothing but dust and sand. A concrete slab for a picnic table (or I guess that was the purpose for it in the past) but no table. No nothing for $46.00. I made this reservation online back on 07-17-2010 and my credit card was charged the $46.00 at that time, but the website stated that any discounts would be applied at check-in. Well, how the ??? do you get a discount (we have PA and others) when the office has no one in it, and left packets outside the door stating: "If you have a reservation please find the envelope with your name on it." There was no envelope with our name on it, so we just took one and went to the sites available. None of them were any good. All as bad as #204. On a letter inside the packet it stated, "The office is closed on Saturday and Sunday, so please leave your money." This is mainly a permanent resident retirement village, which would have been fine if managed correctly for RVers, and you got anything half way what you paid for, but nada!!!! So, if you decide to stay at this campground, it will be your mistake. I would NEVER recommend this campground (or dust bowl of junk), to anyone. We camped here in a Truck Camper.

Rate reflects PA discount which runs during the summer and fall. A nice place to relax for a few days after the snowbirds fled. Tends to get a little windy, but has lots of nice people. A resident even assisted me in bringing down my awning after the wind kicked up. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We are staying here at the PA rate. This is probably one of nicest parks we have been to in the past two years. The front desk people were extremely polite and friendly. The park has a welcome wagon person who was very helpful and informative. She came to our rig and welcomed us to the park: also gave us coupons for % discount if we want to extend our stay past the 7 day PA and for next winter should we like to return. The mineral hot pools (4) are fabulous as is the large flowing swimming pool. This is definitely a destination, lots of Park models but lots of sites for RV'rs. Would definitely come here again!! We found this to be one of the nicest resorts we have ever had the pleasure to stay in. We have been here for several months, and would recommend a stay here for anyone interested in enjoying natural mineral hot springs spas, friendly people, including the staff, and great amenities such as golf, the spas, tennis, shuffleboard, scheduled activities, and water sports and exercises. We had a fantastic time and are considering purchasing a park model home so that we can stay longer next season. We would definitely rate this resort a 10! We camped here in a Campground Cabin.

OMG! If you love hot tubs, this place is paradise! There are 4-5 (clean) mineral spring pools and we just melted into them: got rid of sore, tired muscles. Cabin was very clean and adequate, office staff was super-friendly; made us sad we couldn't stay longer. When we go through here again we will definitely stay at this place. We camped here in a Campground Cabin.

The pool and spas are very nice, but always very crowded. The facilities are dirty and dated. The bathroom floors must be mopped with the same dirty mop everyday and the walls of the stalls appear to have never been cleaned. However, the front desk personnel are very nice. We are here for 6 weeks, hence the lower rate. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is really a park for one who wants to live in a park model home, not for the RV'er. Although the management was nice, it didn't take long to know that they really don't want RV'ers. It is over-priced for the park, the amenities and for what you receive. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Had a end site with nothing behind us but tall pine trees and desert. Very friendly staff. Lot to do in the area with a short drive. Casinos, tramway, Palm Springs. Really enjoyed the stay and the pool complex. Will go back again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Spent 3 nights here in March/08. For the $50.00 rate the campsites were very poor. The winds that blew the dust were incredible. The owners should consider some landscaping with gravel, not course sand that blows everywhere. Also for the price a picnic table would have been nice. The pool area is great, 4 hot pools and a large swimming pool. Front desk staff were excellent. At least we received a refund when we checked out early because of the dust. Cannot recommend this park in the windy season. Very poor wireless internet access. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We traveled with dogs so were assigned a space along the west edge of the park near the pet gate. The pet area, which was a dirt road alongside the park, was large enough to give the dogs some exercise. What was unusual about this park is that even though we were on the edge of the park we were still only 10 spaces away from the office and swimming pools. The pools and spas were clean, comfortable, and uncrowded. Regarding wireless internet, my recollection is that I could not get a strong enough signal from my space to connect. This park was my favorite of those we stayed in on our recent trip through California and Arizona. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Wide spaces, easy back-in. Sandy sites but clean. Very popular with people returning year after year. Lots of activities available - we liked the short 9-hole golf course on site, plus the pools & spas, billiards room. We had no problem accessing Wifi from our site. A downside is that the Desert Hot Springs area can be very windy but we'd stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice Park. Only about 150 sites are for RV's. The rest are park models. Sites are large and level. Sites are made of white sand and there is a small concrete patio with each site. The great thing about this place is the natural mineral hot springs pools and spas. The pools are worth the stay. All the streets are paved and the park models are well maintained. The park is well maintained and neat. Nice palm trees and lawns around pools and clubhouse. We'd love to return here in the future. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Rate reflects RPI. This is a nice campground in Desert Hot Springs. There are a lot of repeat visitors and we didn't meet a single unhappy person in the park. The sites, all back in, are sand. It's the desert, so sand should be expected. We had no issues with leveling, etc. Hot spring "pools" on site, as well as a menagerie of daily events, including water aerobics, water volleyball and pickle ball. Saw a bocce ball court but didn't use it. Small store that has daily breakfast and lunch specials. They have a few volunteers that also serve as security personnel who really like their 'rules' and drive around continuously to enforce said rules (this is a good and bad thing at times, depending on the silliness of the 'rule'). Felt very secure in this park, but just know (if you are considering staying here) that Desert Hot Springs is not Palm Springs. We found the parks on the other side of the 10 in Palm Springs to be a lot nicer (our fault for not checking into things a little more prior to booking) with a much more expensive daily rate. Having said that, Catalina Spa & RV Park did meet our expectations and we would definitely stay here again. I would have rated this park higher, but the Wi-Fi was tragic at best. We work during the week so I called the office prior to booking to ask, specifically, about the quality of the Wi-Fi, which they said was great. It wasn't. And you pay extra for it, adding insult to injury. We bought a MiFi to compensate. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Price reflects Passport America discount. This park is a bit out of the way if you are visiting Palm Springs, Palm Desert etc. But we drove in each day and it was doable. The park was pretty deserted since we were there in June so it was extremely quiet. The office staff was helpful, pleasant and efficient. The park looks okay--typical desert landscaping, which isn't too much. There is a family pool and an adult pool, which is nice, and our dog loved the dog park. Level spaces all back in. Verizon air card & cell were excellent. It was worth the Passport America price of $25 but the regular price of $50 a day out of season would have been WAY too much. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Catalina Spa & RV Resort is a membership "campground" which allows non-members to stay overnight for a fee of $50.00. We were not impressed. The rate is too high for such a mediocre facility. There is no shade nor windbreak. One's general impression is of unkempt sites and deferred maintenance. This is a windy, dusty, barren location a long way from Palm Springs; both geographically and culturally. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Liars...front page of their website said you can stay for 4 nights for $45.00...and when we talked to them they said it wasn't good until October. No dates on their website...very misleading. Average park. Terrible check-in...no-one seemed to know what they were doing. Sent us back and forth from the office to the security booth six times. Sites old, sandy/gravel, quite uneven with badly broken concrete pad. They charge for Wi-Fi so we used our Verizon hotspot. TV was OK. We paid $25.00 through Passport America. Worst camp we have ever been in...will not be back. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a membership park. We were here under RPI which is suppose to be $10.00 per night. Cat Spa charges a $5.00 resort fee plus extra ($2.00) for 50 amp. Park is nice enough. Most of the sites need major leveling. They were planting palm trees along the back row, yet these sites are hardly usable. (Bad slope which makes it hard to level if in anything longer than 30'.) Lots of activities. Pickleball is so popular that people come from other parks to play (sometimes a long wait between games). Pools are great, adult and a family pool both with mineral hot tubs. Food selling and store was winding down for the end of the season even though this park is open year round. This side of town gets wind! Staff was very friendly as were most of the other campers. This home park (2 weeks in 1 out or buy week out) has a lot of members who know each other and really seem to be having a good time. This is our 3rd time here and we will be back. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The rate reflect RPI plus $7 for 50-amp. Nice park with great spring-fed hot tubs and pools, yet is becoming quite dated and could use some major overhauls of buildings. Lots of activities, decent fenced dog area, Wi-Fi at a cost. (We didn’t use it as Verizon 3G worked well.) Overall nice staff. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We spent Thanksgiving at the park with our five children. We loved the weather, the pools and the beautiful scenery. The park was half empty which was a huge surprise. The staff was friendly and professional, there is excellent security and the ground are well maintained. We were supposed to stay for 3 days and extended our stay to 6 days. We look forward to returning again soon! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed using our Coast to Coast membership. We paid an additional $7/night to stay in the section of the park with 50 amp sites, bringing the total to $17/night. Paved roads, with plenty of room to maneuver a big rig. Many of the sites in that section of the park were large enough for our 40' Bulgemobile with our toad parked in front and plenty of room for lawn chairs, the BBQ, etc., alongside. There are shrubs of various sizes separating the sites. The power was good, even with two air conditioners and the microwave running at once. The staff and other residents were all friendly, which is not something you always see in snowbird parks with a lot of folks who have been there together for months. The grounds are scrupulously maintained, with a lot of native vegetation planted along the paved roads. We enjoyed the lunch specials at the little café. The park is surrounded by desert where you can let your dog run free but we were there late enough in the season (mid-March) that there was a danger of rattlesnakes, so I kept our mutt on leash all the time. There is a very nice fenced pet area in the park as well. Pickleball is a popular sport here, with free lessons at 10:00 AM five days a week. One of the few residents who stays year around told us that all activities stop on April 1, until the next season. We camped here in a Motorhome.

A very nice park, but could be great if a little maintenance would be done periodically. The mineral springs pools are great. The shower areas could use a better cleaning. The people are friendly. The internet is terrible. It is off and on. The park should check into a service that provides it so it would stay on. I get kicked off every few minutes and I have an extender and we are parked right at the antenna. We had several power interruptions due to some wind damage. We stayed here with RPI. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is an OK park. We stayed under Coast to Coast so the price was right. They sites are very close together: we could hardly get the door to the motorhome open because the car was parked so close. We didn't have a patio area at all because we needed the space to park the car. Lots of activities. Everyone that works in this park are very nice and friendly except for the older lady that is the sales manager. She is ugly to staff, renters and potential buyers. I went to see her about a membership and was treated like I wasn't good enough to be in the park. Why anyone joins with her in charge, is beyond me. We will stay here again because of the price, other staff and activities but will be sure to steer clear of her. We camped here in a Campground Cabin.

We were here two weeks using our RPI membership, in a back in site in the older (lower section). The site was dirt/sand with a large cement patio area. The natural hot springs pool is wonderful. Small cafe with breakfast/lunch items next to it. Lots of activities. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Good: Nice pool and spa, clean showers, friendly staff, chose own site, close to Palm Springs. Had several community functions during our stay: spaghetti supper, hamburger cookout, jam session. Bad: Somewhat small in length for a 40'. Parked tow car in next site over as no room in own site, but management didn't object. Rate was RPI. Charged extra for 50 amp. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I like the sites-separated by hedges. 2 clubhouses, 2 pools and hot soaking mineral pools. There are nice friendly people at the entrance guard shack and in the office. It is a nice location - easy hop over to Palm Springs and the other area towns for shopping and entertainment. I rated park relatively low because of lack of house-keeping. Dirty walkways into pool area. During week I was there, out 2 weeks, then back for a week, the same band-aid was on the soap dish in the shower, and same razor cap on floor of the shower. Toilets looked like they were cleaned regularly. General pool/restroom area in lower clubhouse area in poor repair. Stuff laying around that needed to be nailed back up etc. Shabby looking. That having been said, I definitely would stay there again, using my AOR membership, it's a bargain. We camped here in a Motorhome.

It has very friendly staff. The park is an older park BUT in pretty decent shape. It is quiet at night, NO TRAINS. We spent 2 nights here using Coast to Coast. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Lower pool shower is old but we found it to be clean. Great staff. If you love Pickle Ball this is the place. The hot tub and pool were OK. Not all sites are level. We are new members and are glad we joined. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here with RPI and because we stayed in the upper camp ground we were charged $7.00 extra. The restrooms and showers were clean but could have used some repair. One of the showers in the ladies room was without a knob so couldn't be used for the entire two weeks. The pools are great, fed with mineral springs and water changes often and are clean. The hot tub in the upper area had some problems and some days was warm and other days hot. The parking areas are sand and gravel and we had no patio. There are some in some areas of the park. They allow us to choose our own spot from those that are vacant. The staff is friendly. We were right across from the wireless internet but without a booster kept getting thrown off. One day the internet was out entirely. There are several activities. The park recycles glass, plastic and cans, and cardboard and have several recycling containers throughout the park. We have stayed here before and will stay again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Rate is Coast to Coast membership. Stayed in the lower campground. Sites could be wider. Long way to grocery. That's the only negatives. Otherwise a great park with lots of seasonal campers. Will definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Not many people here at the end of April! Friendly staff. This park has graveled parking spaces with black top patios. Fairly easy access for big rigs in the upper area. Upper area has 50 amp and that's why it costs an extra $7 a day. Lower area is 30 amp only with smaller spaces (older section). Because of the park location, the wind blows here 24/7 so be prepared for that. Nice hot water in the pool and hot tub which both use natural hot springs for heating. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We went on a Coast to Coast membership, rate is $10 a night. Wifi was extra. Cable TV was $1 extra a day. Lower area is cheaper than the upper area that costs $7 more a day. Upper area sites have 50 amp service and larger sites. Lower area does not have tables and sites are narrower. Store is a little on the small side, but has a little cafe (3 tables) for hot sandwiches and small tv meals. Very friendly staff. I will stay there again, in the lower area. Pool in lower and upper area. Upper area pool is larger and fancier clubhouse than the lower area clubhouse. All areas are accessible to every one. We camped here in a Motorhome.

CampClub rate. Very friendly snowbird park. Structured activities, 2 pools. Went to a BBQ one night that was well attended and lots of fun. Clean but older park. Did not test Wifi. Only stayed here 2 nights but would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We camped here in November 2008. We camped here on the promotional deal. Very nice sales lady. Just the facts, no hard sell at all. If we were to buy in, we would definitely consider here. Nice facilities. Two pools. Very friendly staff and residents. Excellent Aquasize classes. Sites are a little tight for big rigs. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is an excellent park. I can't comment on their website as it is no longer available. There is a mineral water pool and spa in the lower area which is adult only and another swimming pool with two spas in the upper area. All pools are fed by a hot mineral water well, and the water flow through the pools is constant so very little chemicals need to be used. Wi-Fi is available for $10 a week, $16 for 2 weeks, and our reception is very good. There is not much selection of cable channels. There is a large number of organized activities including water aerobics 5 times a week. I have stayed here before and will definitely return. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We are staying here via RPI and this is one of the nicest campgrounds we've stayed - the sites are clean, large, have some privacy with flowering shrubs - there are many, many activities, five nice swimming pools - two (the spas) at the adult center and three at the family center. The family center also has a large lodge-type facility with many potlucks planned. The adult center has a large area for games, a book exchange, poker room, pool room, and small restaurant. There is a great off-leash dog are (actually three, so dogs that do not get along can be separated) with shade trees, toys, water bowls - chairs for the parents -the works! There are two laundromats which are both very nice, and it happens to be the least expensive laundry we've found so far. The staff is also incredibly nice - we even had someone stop by and welcome us to the park. If you want cable, it costs $1/day (our antenna works fine), and 50 amps will cost $17 under RPI. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is a Coast-to-Coast affiliate park, but limits members to seven day stays from now on. This a nice, clean, well-kept park. Some spaces are a bit narrow, but still okay. Wonderful pool and nice big hot tub. Hotsprings water feels great. Staff is very nice. Would rate as a '10' if spaces were 5' wider. Nearest stores are in Desert Hotsprings, about 7 miles away. Palm Desert and Palm Springs are about 15-16 miles away. Remote, but still very nice! We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a very poorly maintained park with dirty streets and sites. There were no tables. Garbage containers were removed and never came back. Sites were very narrow and short in the old section and there was no privacy at all in the upper sections. The comment about the website is so true. This park looks NOTHING like they are showing it. I would have given them a higher rating but their website is really over the top on what the campground looks like. It is a desert campground, winds are likely. The sites have a cement pad to put your chairs on. The RV parks on gravel. No table, no fire ring, no BBQ grill. The website says it has a restaurant and mineral spa but I never saw them. It is and OK campground for $10.00 but nothing like the website indicates. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We paid $8 to stay here, because we are members of Coast to Coast. We only intended to here a few days, but so enjoyed the Mineral Spa (about 15 x 25 feet, so stayed longer. Best thing about it, we feel there were benefits from the mineral water, but there is no chemical smell or sulpher smell. The water is changed frequently, so it feels clean in spite of the fact no chlorine is used. If I remember correctly, the water is completely changed about 7 or more times per hour. Many spas are too hot for me, this one is about 104 degrees, so comfortable. Roads are paved, a bit rough in a few places, but no problem for our RV or any we saw. All sites that I saw are back in, but some may be pull through as we didnt look at all of them. The sites are sand, with a cement patio. Our site was smaller than some, probably would hold only a 30' RV, but we chose it for trees. Power, water, sewer connections were conveniently located. There are two nice pool areas. We used the one by the store the most, as it was closer to our site. Close enough to walk in our bare feet. The site was lined with trees on one side, and bushes about 7-8 feet high on the other, so we felt it was very private. Fishing is allowed in the stream, we don't fish, but watched a boy about 14 fishing and he caught three fish while we were watching. Believe it may be stocked, but didn't inquire. We will be coming back here, on our way back home from this trip. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Quite a long run for shopping etc. but an absolutely lovely facility. Although office staff were somewhat difficult and rude, most full timers said they got used to their arrogance and their outside staff made up for their poor attitude. The location is along the desert wind tunnel and our lot was difficult to level due to the steepness along the wall, we managed with a purchase of lumber. Excellent Security, beautiful grounds, pools etc. Will definitely visit again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Nice older friendly park. The bathrooms are in of updating! I'm 5'8" and the shower went below my shoulders therefore unable to shampoo hair! Water is only on/off can't set your own temp! It was way to hot! It's dog friendly but owners don't always pick up after them! Trees all have been cut way back! Pool water was warm but green! We camped here in a Motorhome.

Great swimming pool and 3 hot mineral tubs. VERY CLEAN restrooms- in pool area and further away in the park. Same with the 2 laundry rooms. Interesting presentations (travel) several evenings. Had Easter eve dinner here and it was excellent food and reasonably priced. Pleasant and helpful staff. I would stay here if I could, even if I wasn't a Western Horizon member. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here with RPI. Wireless Internet is with Tengo and very slow. It is $1.00 and gives you 60 mbs. then kicks you off. Cable is $1.00. This is a Western Horizon and if you aren't a member your site is assigned before you arrive. We tried to pull into the assigned site and it was too small to put our slide out so had to go back to the office to get a different site. That was small too and we had to park half of our rig on the cement patio. The pool area is clean and nice and there are several activities. The bathroom and shower area by the pool is clean. The ladies bathroom area at the back end of the park is run down and two showers and only one was working. The wall was torn apart on the second for repairs. The laundry was clean and the washers and dryers only cost $1.00 and were in good condition. If you want to walk in the desert you have to go out the front gate. There are no other exits or entrances. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Very friendly staff. Paved roads and gravel sites. We had a 30 amp site. Sites are level. Heated pool and 3 hot tubs. Many activities. Rate is for Coast To Coast plus $2. for cable. Wi-Fi was weak from our site. Verizon cell phone and air card worked well. Only problem was the sewer connection was about 12 inches high. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice park. Staff is really friendly and helpful. Most sites are level some have patios. This is a membership park and we belong, thus the very reasonable rate. WiFi worked well from our site. They are upgrading the electrical hookups, adding 50 amp to sites that were previously 30 amp. Overall a very positive experience. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for 2 weeks in March and found the park to be very nice. The staff were very friendly. There were many activities to engage in. The pool is heated and there are 3 hot tubs of varying temperatures. The park is very secure; you have to enter a code to re-enter the park after the guard house closes. We will definitely return. Warning! Danger! This park is reported to have old aluminum wiring in the ground which may result in serious electrical damage to RV's that are hooked up to park electricity. The neighboring coach in space number 73 had his built in surge protector completely burned out due to park electrical problems while I was there. This is a fire hazard and an electrical hazard that could seriously damage your RV! Others, including an employee, also reported electrical damage to their RV's from bad park electricity. Management of the park is aware of the problem, but gave no indication as to when this problem might be fixed, if ever. It is highly recommended that this park be avoided until this situation is corrected. Wi-Fi was only working sporadically during the entire week that I was there. The cable TV hookup was not working. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We camped here in November 2008. Older Western Horizons Park. Stayed on the promotional deal. Heard the spiel which was friendly at first and we were advised numerous times how the lady was not the pushy type. We definitely found out different when we said we were not interested at this time, but would keep it in mind for later. She pressed hard then advised us we could not buy into Western Horizons for three years if we did not buy right then. Oh well, the pool was nice, and spas great. Other staff friendly. We camped here in a Motorhome.

As WHR members we were pleasantly surprised at how well this resort is - much better than some others we have been to. Had EXCELLENT WiFi, and since we got one of the few 50 amp sites, had trees to give us afternoon shade. Only wish the Desert Hot Springs area was cleaner - the park is nice and clean, the area has garbage strewn all over the desert. Not as nice as the desert in Arizona around Casa Grande. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This was a very nice camp ground. Staff very friendly. They were working on their picnic tables while we stayed at the resort. Kids loved the pool and the children's spa that is kept at 98 degrees. Site was level. We had lots of trees. Concrete for patio was cracked but not a big deal. Playground was very nice. Tennis courts, basketball, horse shoes, shuffleboard was all great. We stayed here for 4 nights. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This park was a real disappointment! We went in on a ROD reservation and were put in space so narrow we could barely get our slides out. No way could we get the awning out. The wood on the picnic table top was completely rotted through and thus unusable. When we asked for another space, the office staff said that wasn't possible, even thought there were other spaces available. Their attitude stunk! The pictures on the web site were taken a loooooong time ago; no real landscaping in the park, just rocks and tired looking bushes. Sign at the entrance says it's a 5 star park. That too must have been a long time ago. This place needs a lot of TLC, some updating and a polite and caring staff. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Great park. Three mineral hot spas, water volleyball games in pool every day. Nice community center. Negatives, some of the concrete patio slabs had large broken out or cracked areas where you could twist an ankle. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a gated park, not new but relaxed, quiet atmosphere. It is a bit hard to find as the gate is a block or two down a small side road. We loved the warm swimming pool and hot Jacuzzi open all hours. In winter there are no crowds though the park is often nearly full with long-term residents. It's very quiet and friendly. A large fenced area is provided for pet exercise. A good stop on the way south to Palm Springs or the deserts in winter. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I came here for 6 nights and stayed for 8 weeks! The park is a little older and therefor I did not give it a ten. The pool and spa are wonderful and kept at perfect temperature. The management is friendly and helpful, and the people in the park are welcoming. I hated to leave and am sure to return. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

Well used RV Park. It has seen its day and needs a lot of work. Management comes across as professional and caring, however is superficial. Sites are for the most part only 30 amp. Sewage hookups are all higher than the discharge of the trailer and there are no tables provided at the sites. Many spots are occupied by people who have their spots annually and for the most part, would rather you not stop and use what they consider their own private park. No activities to speak of. Excellent heated pool and hot tub, but here again not cleaned and cared for properly for the amount of people using it. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This park provides excellent value. We were met by the camp host, and never been helped more to set up. Our site was clean and close to the excellent and clean hot tub and mineral spring pool. This is being submitted while we are here for a month's stay: cannot understand some of the negative reviews posted about this park. Like everywhere else in this region, be prepared to batten down the hatches if the wind comes up! We camped here in a Motorhome.

We made a reservation here based on previous reviews. After getting through the gate and past the pool, this campground resembles Dogpatch with mostly permanents, old trailers, lots of gear stored outside, cramped together. The sites have a cement slab in the center which is about four inches above the surrounding dirt. You could easily blow a tire by hitting it. You have to maneuver your rig to be on either side of it. If on one side, you cannot put out your slides, if on the other, you cannot put out your steps and open your door. Since we arrived too late to go to another park, we opted for no slides for the night and left in the morning as quickly as possible. We camped here on Dec.15, 2009 but this site only allows one to select dates in 2010! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Our host was absolutely wonderful. He had answers to all our questions and gave us a few very nice suggestions on places to visit in the area. We have had our motorhome for 2 years now, and we have to say that this has been one of our most enjoyable visits. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We wanted a quiet,friendly park and that is what we have. The park is clean, well taken care of, and comfortable to be in. We feel very safe here, there is a gate and no one enters without the management knowing it. It is a dog friendly park with an area for our loyal friends. The laundry room, rest rooms, and club house are bright and well maintained. We have been to many great meals and company at the club house, and people are so welcoming. It is very quiet here and we wake up every morning to the sounds of ducks and birds, how wonderful! The pool and hot tub are one of the emenities that brought us to this park because the hot springs in the pool and hot tub are naturally treated. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Having spent 8 days here we got a good feel for the park. The owners have hired new managers and they are making great headway in correcting many of the problems pass management left them with. A large percentage of sites are annual but they are still some daily, weekly and monthly sites available. Reservations are a must during peak season (winter months). Pool and Spa are a little rough but repairs are planned for this summer. All public areas were well maintained. I believe this is a 55+ park, I have not seen one child. There is no play area so small children would be bored anyway. There are many activities in the surrounding area; Palm Springs, Tramway, theaters, and etc. We will return next winter for extend stay. I originally planned to stay for a week and quickly turned my stay into 10 days. I enjoyed my visit to this park on the very first day. When I called the owner was very friendly and accommodating. He said they had plenty of space and even a pull-through site for me as I was driving a 36' motorhome with a tow dolly and tow vehicle on the back. When I arrived his wife was very friendly. I stayed here on my Camp Club USA membership. They did not charge extra for the pull-through convenience. Even with all that I was lugging around, all 45+ feet of me, I was able to drive around the park easily enough to the pull-through sites, which are near the front. It is a very quiet park, no road noise whatsoever. There are many residents who are very friendly and helpful. The all-natural hot mineral pool was an absolute delight morning, noon and night. They also have a jacuzzi which I did not go into but was clean and others seemed to enjoy it. There is a convenience store on the next block, but that's the only store around unless you go about 5 miles into the town of Desert Hot Springs where there are many more stores. I opted to go south to Palm Springs and Rancho Mirage (about 10 miles) where the stores and restaurants are plenty and there is a street festival in downtown every Thursday night, what fun. It does tend to get windy in the late afternoons which is the only annoyance I could find since it meant pulling in my awning. No reason to give this park a 9 because of something they can't control. At the back of the park is a nice little garden with chairs that overlook the San Jacinto mountains. You can watch the sunset in the evenings or the rabbits hopping around in the adjacent field. On my first night, I saw a mountain lion, but not to worry, he didn't stick around and I haven't seen him since. I would highly recommend this park to anyone who is looking for a clean, safe, quiet, friendly environment to relax and enjoy some of the beauty of this area. I will definitely visit again should I be in this area! We camped here in a Motorhome.

Very Rude management and loud noise. Rules not enforced. It use to be a nice park several years ago under the old management. Now they think they are doing you a favor by staying here. I would NEVER go back to this place! Oh and it is Woodalls reviewed which means nothing other than they are listed and get money for that service. I'll never trust a Woodalls site again! We chose this park as the mineral pools sounded nice and they were! Staff was also very friendly. The downside was that there was no Wi-Fi unless you set up your own account with a separate company for $30 a month. As the previous reviewer stated the park model homes were very rundown and in some cases deserted. The surrounding neighborhood was also not very nice. It was a 30 minute drive to Palm Springs or Palm Desert. The bathhouse while clean was "cold." It was a bare concrete floor - a type of bathhouse one might find in a state park, but not in a private campground. The sites were also close together. We could hear the dogs barking in the Motorhome next to us. Rate was based on the monthly rate. I would probably not stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We rolled the dice and stayed here as it looked like it would be fun for the kids. So here is my take on it. The good - The hot pools are great. The spaces are very generous. In contrast to many of the reviews, we found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. We had a maintenance issue with our site's dump, and they were out and fixed it in a reasonable amount of time. The bad - This might not even be truly bad but rather not our taste. Once away from the pools, we didn't think the park was that nice. There is a large mobile home area that looks like a run down trailer park. A large portion of the park is considered "overflow" and as a result, it looks like a wasteland that they forgot about. Most of the sites are fairly uneven. We saw a lot of rigs with wheels off the ground and they still weren't quite level. If you are looking for a night or maybe two to relax in a hot spring spa, this place is fine. If you are looking for a nice place to vacation or call home for a month, I would look elsewhere considering the many choices in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Amazing experienced. Our kids (6 and 3) absolutely loved the pool area. It is truly an oasis in the desert. Great ambiance with palm trees, very green and soft grass, and the sound of waterfalls. Check in was easy, staff friendly, and we were allowed to choose our own site. Highly recommended! My only suggestion is that it would have been nice to have a spa that is truly outside, so as to soak up the sun. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Remembering this is the desert, the sites are sandy, not level- which makes it harder to level. As said before, you are told to find a spot and then report back to the office which is a good idea. The reason for being stingy with a better rating is the lack of level sites and we could NEVER sign-on to their WiFi. Pretty expensive for being that far off the path and nothing around to see...The staff were very friendly which always helps make an iffy stay better! In all honesty we didn't go into their waterfall/swim area because of our pet. That might have made a difference in our view. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Sam’s Family Spa…We spent a month at this wonderful spot. The crew is first rate, knowledgeable, helpful and very friendly. While some complain about the wind in Desert Hot Springs it was not that big of a deal for us. We did have maybe 6 or 7 windy days during the February month. Occasionally you hear kids playing or riding their bikes…but that is the Family in “Sam’s Family Spa” The pool was always clean and warm at about 86 degrees then you have a choice of four mineral pools with increasing temps. (rate reflects monthly price) We camped here in a Motorhome.

Sam's Family Spa makes a nice stepping off place if you're headed east. Like most desert parks, Sam's is frequently besieged by wind and, unfortunately, the desert gravel spots at Sam's are not very level. On the positive side however, the four hot pools and swimming pool are incredibly immaculate. The water is changed on a nightly basis. The management ranges from friendly to a bit temperamental. If you don't wear your wrist band for pool/spa entrance, you're accosted by the dreaded night Nazi attendant. OK: I should have worn my wrist band as requested. I offered to walk back to get the band, but she gave me an insouciant wave and allowed me to pass through. Upon arrival, instead of being assigned an RV spot, you must wander the RV areas to find a vacant spot and then report back to a young lady whose limited English skills leave something to be desired. With as much territory to cover in this park, either an assigned spot or a friendly guide would be very desirable since part of the Sam's is occupied by full-timers. Wi-Fi is provided by Tengo Internet. Two day's usage is free; after that you must pay the going rate. The Internet signal is strong and worked quite well. All in all, our visit to Sam's was very enjoyable and I would recommend it. Many snowbirds must agree with me since many Canadian and cool weather states are well represented. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We spent 4 nights here and found Sam's to be a very friendly and accommodating park. The pool area is a like a true oasis in the desert with multiple pools and hot springs and very lush landscaping. We would return to this park. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Love this place! It is off the beaten path and when you first arrive you think it is just a Mobile home community, but don't be fooled it has lots of RV camping. The sites are level desert sand with full hook-ups and picnic tables. This place has absolutely immaculate rest rooms and showers. The best part are the hot spring pools. We enjoyed the waters for 2 days. Staff was great and this was a nice Oasis in the desert. We camped here in a Truck Camper.

We enjoyed our week staying at Sam's. The park is a bit weathered, but it was clean and comfortable,with a friendly feel. The pool and spa's are wonderful. The cable is fair. It is nice to have concrete slabs. We will be returning here. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Day rate based on weekly stay. There is nothing wrong with this park other than being somewhat dated. However, it is well maintained. We planned to stay one week and stayed three as the weather was nice and the park was not full during the week days. Thus, few kids and often was only a few at the pools. Sites are okay, but tight if park was full. Mix of long-term, permanent and overnighters. However, it has a good feel of community and good interaction between everyone. The pools and restroom are clean and the grounds are well kept. The park is 15 minutes from town, but it is easy to get around the near by towns. Utilities are fine and sites fairly level. Little shade, but good views of surrounding mountains. We camped here in a Motorhome.

One of the most relaxing campgrounds I have come across. Friendly people, great service and perfect pools. Really great pond and small dog, off leash dog park. Really kid friendly. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

I can't add much to what others have already said about the park itself. We stayed 11 nights and fell in love with the "Sam's way of life." We really enjoyed the activities put on by the park staff and all the friendly people we met there. We loved the pool, the hot tubs, and the easy-going attitude of the park staff. We hated to leave and can't wait to go back for an even longer stay someday. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We love this place! Everything the other reviewers said is correct. The sites are narrow and not well planned, but the mineral baths are wonderful. (There are four with different temps, plus a pool and a pool spa.) Small fenced dog run was good for our dog. We met lots of nice people here. Originally we were only going to stay for 1-2 days, but ended up staying a week. We would have stayed longer if we could. My son really enjoyed feeding the ducks and the swan, and there was a kingfisher and egret living on the small lake, too. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We’ve stayed here about a dozen times in the last couple of years and have always enjoyed our stay. Spaces are on dirt but most are fairly level. Spaces come with concrete slab with picnic tables, some sites are 50 amp and other only 30, but they are well marked as to which have 50amp service. The hot springs are very nice and well kept. The pool is also very nice and is naturally heated by the hot springs although not nearly as warm as the hot springs. Bathrooms and showers are clean. There is a nice Sauna but no steam room which is disappointing given the natural access to thermally heated water. The park is beautifully landscaped with large palm trees and a pond with fish and other wildlife. There is also a large grassy picnic area with BBQ pit. This is a family orientated park but weekdays are not nearly as busy as the weekends due to daytrip visitors, so if you’re looking for quiet time, stay during the week. Disappointments: They accept no discount of any kind including AAA or FMCA and regular visitors do not get free nights stays. Cable TV is significantly lacking in channel options and quality. They should invest in better cable which is why they didn't get a 10 We camped here in a Motorhome.

We've stayed here in both a pop-up and now our motorhome. We love this place, we don't have kids but it looks like this would be a great place for them. As adults looking for some peace and quiet, I would suggest not staying here. However, if you don't mind a little noise and kids running and riding their bikes all over the place, this place is awesome. Nice sites, spacious for and RV park, nice wide road, 50 amp hookups and cable TV. The hot springs are REALLY REALLY nice, the pool is GREAT and the park is beautifully landscaped with large palm trees. Bathrooms/showers are nice and well kept up. What kept me from giving this place a 10, was the sewer hook ups. They are non-threaded and don't seat very well. Some stick up out of the ground pretty high, to the point were some people with lower drains may have a problem dumping. The last thing that prevented at 10 was the VERY LOW water pressure. I'm not sure if this is due to the way it's supplied (from the springs maybe?) or what, but wide open with no regulator it was pretty weak. Aside from those two things, this place is GREAT, this was our 3rd visit and we certainly plan to visit again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We spent more than a month here and enjoyed every second. There are large sites with plenty of space between the units. The roads are paved, but with gravel sites. The regular pool and the hot pools fed by hot springs were always warm. The hot pools were the centre for the social activities but regular social event were also organized in the club hall. The name Family Spa says it all: it was a great place for every member of the family. The reasons for 8 rather than 10 was that the Internet was provided by Tengo rather than the park itself. This is not only costly, but also inconvenient. We had trouble connecting and was told to try again. It worked the second time, but I was charged for two connections for the month. Tengo wouldn't correct the mistake until I showed them the statement from the bank. As we were Snowbirders, this could not be accomplished until we returned to Canada. In the future we will avoid parks that use outside Internet providers. We will return to this park but will not use Tengo again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We really liked this park. The people working here were very friendly and helpful. The hot pools were fabulous and very clean. The camp sites were a good size. There were limited cable channels, and internet was through a 3rd party for $4.95, but worked well. We will definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a good desert spa park. The pools are clean and the surrounding pool area is shaded and pleasant. Lots of sites, helpful staff. Of course, you can always use more shade in the desert in September but we have always enjoyed our stays here. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This park has two types of folks staying. Permanent residents in mobile homes, and RV folks who are both long and short term. Everyone was very nice and helpful. The sites are back ins only. Would have preferred a pull through, but we knew ahead of time that there were none. We had good internet service, however it was an additional $4.95 per day through Tengo. The sites are a bit tight considering that they are back ins only, but we did see big 40' rigs there, so the sites were large enough for those. The back in sites and the price caused me to rate it an 8. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This was an amazing campground. It was very family friendly. The staff were always pleasant and helpful. The pools were always warm and clean. There were quite a few permanent residents, but everyone that we spoke to were friendly and nice. We actually stayed an extra week because we loved it so much. We would definitely stay here again. Nice campground. They do have cable but you end up with 8 channels total. WiFi is extra through TengoInternet. It does work, but it is slow. We really liked the sauna, hot springs and pool area. We stayed here a month and went almost everyday. This is a great location for Joshua Tree Natl Park, Coachella Valley Preserve, Palm Springs and other area attractions. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is really unique and whimsical. We found the spots spacious enough for our big rig, but we had electrical problems at both of our sites. They will need to upgrade soon. Inside the pool gate, however, is a tropical paradise! Wildlife is abundant in the area of the pond. Next to the pond they have a picnic area with different animals featured including peacocks. The pool was wonderful and the hot spring pools were so relaxing. The sauna was great as well as the locker rooms for the pool/spa area. We most appreciated the welcome mat they put out for families. We had just left Tucson where we had a very difficult time finding parks that would accept couples with children. The nearby Palm Springs had plenty of food and entertainment. We would definitely return. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Great family campground. Fantastic pool and hot tub facility. Sites were very wide with a patio and picnic table. Rocks and sand were the materials used in each campsite. Hookups were old, but sufficient. Well return. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I agree it is a strange park, but we loved it. Half of the place is mobile homes and the other half is an RV resort. There are 4 natural mineral pools and a large swimming pool that is also heated by the natural hot springs. There is a sauna which is seldom used but in great shape. There are showers in the bathroom areas that can be used if you prefer not to use yours in the RV. It is very clean and the staff is very friendly. They have a small store with most of what you could need. The entrance to the pools is carefully watched to make sure you are staying at the camp. They do this by requiring a wristband to enter the pool area. The pool areas can get quite busy with children so keep that in mind. We will definitely go back again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The name says it all. Not a park for retired folks. Would be great for families. When you check in they tell you to find a spot and come back and tell them what number. Asked if it was ok to drive through with a 40' MH and toad. They said do what you like. Don't do it!!! Will not be back We camped here in a Motorhome.

This place is pretty worn out. It could use some attention but I guess it is the desert. There is a big pool, a covered baby pool and three (or four) pools of verying temperatures which were nice. There is a big pond full of fish you can feed - it was great for the kids - but not fishing allowed. There are a lot of permanent residents on side of the project. The spaces for regular rental each have a concrete pad and is just dirt otherwise. There is a *very* small playground that consists of a swing and a very small climbing gym. I will likely take a pass on staying here again - its just not our style. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Rate is based on monthly discount plus metered electric (11 cents/kw). Stayed for 5 weeks. Friendly residents. Large majority are park models, with nightly rv sites spread among the park. Interior roads are narrow..,making backing in to your site a challenge. Our 40' fifth wheel took a fair amount of maneuvering to get it right. Power posts/water etc are dead center in space..about 5 feet into your site, which makes it even more of a challenge to set your rig just right. Lots are really designed for future park models. Each lot has a palm tree in the front corners of each lot making it even more of a challenge..but we made it without damage. Bear in mind that Desert Hot Springs is in a wind tunnel. It can be very windy here, when the wind hardly blows just 20 minutes down the road in Palm Springs proper. Quiet park. Security patrols. Gated. Pool is great and comfortably warm. 2 jacuzzis. Great public rooms, billiards, game room, banquet hall(s) and plenty of activities if you wish to participate. Golf course was good and fairly priced. Stores/food/fuel etc all within the area albeit California prices which are high. We would return if coming back to the area as the price is reasonable compared to parks in Palm Springs/Indio, Coachella valley. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a very nice park, very friendly staff and helpers. A lot of nice people here for the winter. Dog parks (they do have a couple) are very nice. The pool is nice and large and 90 degrees. The two large hot tubes are 97 degrees and 104 degrees. the entire grounds are always nice, clean, tidy and spotless. They have many activities to participate in if you chose to. Sites all have nice tall hedges between them and are about 50' long x 35' wide gravel site with concrete parking spot for truck or toad. Streets are blacktop. Beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. The Wi-Fi works good from anywhere in the park and they have cable included that has about 75 channels. The rate is based on monthly stay as we will be here for 2 months, many of the people here stay 5 or 6 months. WE WILL BE BACK. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Superior facilities: golf, pool, spa, laundry, and the cadillac of dog parks with huge fenced in grassy area. Sites were tight: short and narrow with large gravel and fairly level. Nice hedges along both sides of site for some privacy. Wi-Fi was very good but park was pretty empty. Water pressure very good. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a GOLF and RV resort, with beautiful 9-hole course plus tennis, pool, horseshoes, putting green and pool tables. We just held rally here for 17 coaches from Tucson and the park was wonderful!! Cooperation & assistance from management was excellent, and the sites were all together and very nice. We had sole use of a full-service kitchen/TV/dining hall that was the best we've used anywhere. I would give this RV park the highest recommendation. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a nice place. It is close to Palm Springs but away from the crowds. Very nice people at the front desk. Lots of snowbirds and permanent residents. The spaces are large but hard to back into because the streets are not very wide. The pool and golf course looked nice, although we didn't use them. We did use the laundry which was just fine. There are some cute restaurants in Desert Hot Springs and be sure to go on the wind farm tour. Overall, a good value for the Palm Springs area. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Beautiful park in a great area, only minutes to Palm Springs. Good water pressure, level sites, each site separated by hedges from neighbor, plenty wide for sitting out & BBQ. Lots of Canadians camp here, very friendly people. Sites are a little tricky to back into but once there, you will love it. Great heated pool and two hot tubs, which are little used. Has on site golf course, although we don't golf. Rate reflects monthly rate. Hope to get back here again! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here for the month of January and really enjoyed this park. The Wi-Fi was fantastic, much better than anything we have had in the past. A big plus is the fenced dog park. It is very large and grassed and we found it to be very clean. The biggest drawback at this park is the sites. They are very hard to back into and the power posts are in non friendly positions which cause you to have lots of wasted space. The golf course is wonderful. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. There are lots of long term residents and they were extremely welcoming. There is only one washroom and shower building but the exercise walking there in the wonderful sun is well worth it. The garbage is on the road in so is easy to stop at. We would definitely return to this wonderful RV park. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

I cannot recommend staying at this RV resort. First problem is the sites are very difficult to back into. Second, the loud music across from the resort went on some nights to 11:30 pm while we were there. Third, the wi-fi via Tengo Internet which this resort uses is very poor. If you have used Tengo in the past you've probably had bad experiences. Fourth, there is one small shower facility for the entire park. Finally, Desert Hot Springs, where this resort is located, is quite a distance away from the Palm Springs / Indio area. We burned a lot of fuel traveling back and forth each day. In the future I would pay the extra money and get a resort within the Palm Springs / Indio area. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Things we liked about the park: gated security, host assistance with back in to a very tight, small space. Things we were disappointed in: restrooms and garbage were a long way from where we were located. This is a large park, and there is one place you can use the showers or empty the garbage. Lots of long termers here. We also noted that although the rules about cleaning up after your dog sounded strict, there was a lot of evidence that they were not enforced. We were backed up to a small space on a quite busy road. Think we would explore another park in the area since we do not golf. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

3rd time back at Sands. This place gets better each passing year. Checked-in, host escorted me to my site. After a short setup, I was ELATED at the Wi-Fi performance!! Netflix worked perfectly in HD. Enjoyed the dog park, but passed on golf this visit. Park is good enough to stop back on the way up north, so we will golf in March. Excellent course if memory serves. Overall the atmosphere is great. 55 plus park, so lots of fun people to meet. Highly recommended. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Mixed thoughts about this park. Some nice recreational facilities: a short golf course, pool, exercise room, pool. Very popular with snowbirds. However, RV sites are tight and difficult to get in. Had no room at side of trailer. One restroom only for over 500 sites. We will not return. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Roads and sites are paved. Good utilities, Wi-Fi, and nice staff. Sites are narrow with hedges between each site. Pretty challenging to navigate and back-in a 45ft. MH. Many camp models and permanent living with the RV sites mixed in. Probably try another Park next time. We camped here in a Motorhome.

GREAT park with GREAT people. Family owned and managed. Pay for a week (7) days and get 9 days. That is 2 days free. Close to Palm Springs and shopping. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is a great park, especially if you play golf. The landscaping is very nice and the setting is quite pretty. This being the winter, the place is full of snowbirds. Many of them are from Canada and other cold places. The seasonal folks are very friendly to the overnight people and the park models and other RV's that are here permanently are well kept. The Wi-Fi is free and works great. The hookups are fine. The sites are fairly small and only back ins. Also ours was not level since the road was sloped. Passenger side was higher than driver's side even with leveling blocks. Since we were only staying two nights, we chose to put up with it. But if you are coming, bring plenty of leveling materials since many streets appear to be slightly sloped. If there were pull though sites and the sites were more level I would give this park a 10. We would stay here again if in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Hedges between the sites allowed for max privacy. Beautiful clubhouse and activity rooms. Pool was wonderful: enjoyed the water aerobics. So many interesting activities although I didn't participate in many. Biggest and best laundry room I've ever seen. Beautiful golf course, can walk to it. Liked the mix of RV sites and Park Models: some are rentable. Had family staying in one, while I was in an RV site. Very convenient for all. I am a solo traveler and felt completely safe in this park. Gated, security patrols at night. Friendly and helpful staff. Can't say enough nice things about this park. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The resort was great, the gym facility excellent, grounds very well kept but quite a small pool given the size of the park. The sites were small but adequate room for outdoor living. Would return to this park if it were anywhere else. The winds were constant for the 9 days we were here with the exception of one day. We were first time visitors so paid for 7 days and got 2 free. Staff friendly and helpful. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Our rate reflects a monthly rate. We enjoyed this campground. Though the campsites were fairly close, there was a hedge between each site and we hardly saw or heard our neighbors except when we were outside and talking with them. Did I feel squeezed, certainly not. Did I have privacy, I certainly did. This resort revolves around golf and the course always appeared full of players, well groomed though I do not play golf. There is an exercise room, a pool, tennis courts, several dog walks (washes between streets) a very nice clubhouse with a game room and another quiet room for reading or computer work. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the grounds crew kept the place nicely groomed. It is an active campground with people biking, walking, golfing, etc. We loved seeing everyone always about. There are several active hiking clubs and organized hikes at least twice per week. There was a nice mix of park models, monthly and seasonal renters and clubs. Would we go there again, in a New York minute. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We received a 3 month special rate. Pool area was very nice as was the club house buildings. Doggy park was excellent - huge, gated with grass. Sites were an odd setup because electric, water was in middle of site with tall bushes on sides. The wind was horrible and rattled RV several days a week. The park was very isolated from fine dining and shopping about a 30/40 minute drive but grocery stores were nearby. The park needed to have better winter entertainment. Not enough dinner type (with cost) get together or potlucks. Needed more Saturday night dances not like New Years Eve which ended at 10:30pm and had a horrible band. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We love the Sands RV and Golf Resort. The golf course is being well maintained and you can walk it which makes for good exercise. The pool area is lovely and we enjoy the water aerobics as well as other fun events they provide. There is something for everyone at the Sands. Friendly staff, comfortable club house and friendly people who stay there. In 2011 it will be our 6th winter vacation at the Sands. Thanks Sands for a lovely winter place to stay. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We spent 4 months in this park. The amenities are very nice. Has a well equipped exercise room, nice pool and 2 large hot tubs, beautiful game room and lounge. Golf course, but we don't golf so can't give a good evaluation for that, but it looked well maintained. Has a beautiful, 1 acre fenced, grassy dog park. Has nice staff. The sites are fairly small for big rigs and the wind can be troublesome. Of the 4 months we were here, March and April were the worse for wind. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Friendly people. Nice golf course, pool table, clubhouse, pool and laundry. Wi-Fi could have been better and would have given a higher score if it was. Showers clean but the room was cold in the morning. Nice privacy hedges between sites. We will return in the future. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is not an RV resort - this is a trailer park. The sites were ridiculously small - I've stayed at many places across the U.S. and have never seen any this narrow and shallow. In order to reach the power and water we were backed in so far that I could reach out and touch the rig behind me. Of course, we were still almost on the street - the very narrow street. The staff was no help in backing in our travel trailer telling us that they had no experience in doing so. This was a wretched experience for which I was charged a very high rate. All of the facilities were at the very front of the Park - over nighters were all placed at the very back of the grounds. It would have been necessary to drive 1/2 mile in order to use the pool and spa. Unless you enjoy being on top of your neighbors or you're interested in purchasing a park model, I can't recommend this park to you. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This park is okay, if you are here for the amenities that they offer. These desert resorts are all pretty much the same. We were doing other things in the area and just needed a place to spend a couple of nights, and it worked well for that. Their after hours check-in needs some help. A resident, coming in at the same time, let us in the gate but there was no information, map or directions left at the office. We finally unhooked our jeep and drove around the park until we found security. The gentleman was very nice and helpful, but the site we were assigned in our reservation was occupied. He helped us find another site and about two hours later we finally got settled. The sites are not very level. We needed blocks under our jacks. They are also extremely tight for a big rig to get in and out of without clipping trees or other landscaping. The park is quiet, clean and well-maintained and the staff was friendly. It met our needs, but I doubt that we would go back. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for two months in an upgraded or premium site. We had a nice view of the desert and mountains from the rear lounge of our 5th wheel. Sites are private separated by hedges. Standard sites back up to each other, but are quite wide. The park was in very nice condition, well maintained by a friendly staff. The golf course was in excellent condition and the Pro-Shop was very considerate. The pool and spa were very nice and well maintained. A very pet friendly park with lots of places to walk the dog. We will stay here again! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a very pleasant park. We planned to stay for three days and ended up staying a month. The spaces are not overly wide but are very private with tall hedges between sites. Lots of areas to walk the dog and even though I prefer full size golf courses, this course was a pleasure to play. Typically the RV sites are in one section of the park and a bit separate from the park models. The WI-FI is free through Tengo but is the reason I wouldn't give full marks to this park. The WIFI connection was, at times, quite erratic (perhaps 10% of the time) and given that I need the service for business, I found this some what frustrating. Lastly, we never felt any less secure here then at any other park. Having said all of that, I would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We loved this RV Park! We were originally booked in for 2 weeks and extended our stay to 2 months(Feb. & Mar. 2008). The park is nicely landscaped with lots of palm trees, plants and places to walk dogs. It has a great swimming pool/spa and recreation complex, too. The 9 hole golf course is very nice and reasonably priced. It is a very quiet park as it is well off I-10, yet it is only a 10 minute drive into Palm Springs. The park has free Wi-Fi at all sites, and cable TV is available. All the streets are paved, and the sites are gravel and fairly level. Tall shrubs separate most of the sites so there is some privacy. We found the sites to be quite normal in size and never felt we were crowded at all. We have already booked for another 2 month stay in early 2009. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Nightly rate shown is based on a weekly rate. This is a nice park with a golf course. The sites are small with bushes separating the sites. Our 40' motorhome just fit in the site. The site is sand with a small concrete pad. The concrete pad is on the wrong side of the site so you are walking in and out of the RV through sand while you have a concrete pad for your car on the other side of the RV. The resort is gated with a combination. That security did not work since the back gate was left unlocked and there was a theft from our site one night. I would never stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We enjoyed this place so much, we extended our stay 2 extra days. It has 9 warm mineral spring water pools to enjoy. Great for family or adults. There is a cafe on site with a good valued menu. They even served us hot dogs at their sales site for mobile homes. We will be back. I would have given this park a 10 if the WI-Fi had worked better. They said they are working to improve that. The $25 rate is with Passport America. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This Resort is not transient visitor friendly. We stayed 2 weeks in the most cramped spot we've ever stayed anywhere. The front desk people at check in did not give us any information as to events and happenings in the park. When we asked about nearby Joshua Tree NP the front desk person said they had no information on it. We asked about receiving some mail. Only two pieces allowed otherwise buy a box. We began to call them the NO people. There's an East side and a West side. At the end of our stay I discovered that the West side laundry area contained clothes lines! To use the laundry one must purchase a $5 card then add time to it. When the machines ate up double the cost we had to call an 800 number for reimbursement. This park is geared to please the park model people. We won't be going back. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Clean showers and restrooms. First day we didn't have water in the showers by the west pool area. Pools were great with mineral fed water. Staff very friendly. Couldn't have been any better. Large RV spot. Treated like a valued customer. We got our site 1/2 price for checking out the park models. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed 5 nights with Passport America for $24.50 a night. We were packed between a bunch of park models and permanent residents, although there were many empty sites that would have been easier to get into and out - more designed for RVs. The site they put us in had parts of a storage building in rear of it and there were nails strung about on the ground. Internet was supposedly available but we finally gave up the second night and logged onto another account. Office wanted to charge $5.00 for privilege of getting into the laundry room and that didn't count cost of the machines. One lady in office was rude. We will definitely not stay at this "Resort" again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Have stayed here before. VERY nice park, although rather remote. Personnel very nice and helpful. Pets are rather restricted. Rules say to take your dog to the dog park (in park) which is quite a ways from sites. Kind of difficult for functions. Will come back. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Great resort which has everything: pools, fitness room, activities, dog run. However there is no cell service, no internet. Very friendly people. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We had reservations for 3 months. We had numerous conversations with the office prior to our arrival and we we told they had cable TV, cell coverage and Wi-Fi available. When we pulled in you could hardly get in the narrow road and gate. The people at the desk we nice and seemed helpful. We got directions and headed to our site. The road got more narrow as we got closer to the site. Numerous tight turns and then we saw our spot--next to a rundown old house trailer with a rundown wooden fence between them and us. The site had a concrete pad, but everything else was dirt. We had requested 50 amp (reservatons made 2 months in advance) but once we got parked--very tricky job to say the least--and I hooked us up I discovered it was only 30 amp. The water hook-up had to be de-scaled before I could connect my water line. The TV connection seemed to be new. We were very disappointed with the overall set-up. I tried to call the office but could not get any reception on my cell. We drove to the office to discuss the cell problem. They said that we could go down to the truck-stop in town (15 miles down the road) and buy an antenna for about $70.00 to put on top of our RV that MAY help the reception. Also Wi-Fi was not available anywhere in the park. All of the amenities were so far away from us we would have had to drive to get to them. We drove about 7 miles down the road from the park before we could get cell reception. We called an RV park in Hemet and made reservations there for the three months. Then we returned to the office and explained that we needed cell reception due to an ill family member and they were nice enough to give us our money and deposit back. We stayed the night and left first thing the next morning. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Our first trip here in 4 years and not much has changed. Still a nice place and very enjoyable. Showers/bathrooms are always very clean. Limited number of sites and we found our favorite site now has a manufactured home on it but we found another site we like. Office people are the nicest people we've met. Wifi hot spots available - and listed in map you get when you arrive and is pretty fast. We like this place a lot and wonder why it took us 4 years to return. Will be coming back quite a bit during the off season now that we "rediscovered" this place. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is really a mixed use park with manufactured homes, park models and some RV spaces interspersed in between. Once the spaces are sold to park models there won't be much room left for RV use. This was typical of most parks in the Palm Springs area with the exception of the Thousand Trails, RPI park and Outdoor Resorts. With that said, it is well maintained with a lot of pride of ownership. The wifi at the club house did not work and their is no cell phone service. The folks that run the office are great and overall we enjoyed the 10 days we spent there. The residents were very friendly, one of them returned a $500 camera that we lost at the park. The hot mineral spas and pools are great. We would stay there again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

More of a retirement resort community than an RV park, but this was an excellent place to stay in Palm Springs. Fantastic mineral springs and pool complex. Lots of sand in the RV spaces, but we had an excellent lot with great shade. Office staff were the nicest we have encountered on our trip. Highly recommend you stop by and check them out. This is predominately a park model resort. There are a limited amount of RV spaces. When we arrived on Sunday the office was closed. No problem, they have a dozen of so envelopes with different sites around the park marked on them. They tell you to find the spot you like and settle up on Monday. With Passport America I paid $118.00 total tax included for 6 nights. Park has mainly seniors in it, but children are welcome. They have two sides, the West and East. East is about 10 years newer. I like that side better. Sites vary in size, pick the one you like. There are trees and a pad, but no tables. Remember this is mainly a park model resort. I was able to get satellite reception. Between the two sides they have 4 pools, 2 of them are family pools, 2 of them are adult only. The family pools are separated from the adult pools. They also have a total of 6 hot tubs with different heat levels. All are naturally hot spring water heated. The family pools are kept at about 85-87 degrees and the adult pools are 90-93 degrees. The hot tubs are varied from 95 degrees to the "lobster pot" which is 105 degrees. Not much chlorine is added due to the natural minerals. The pools are sparkling clear. You do not feel like you have chemicals (chlorine) all over you like normal pools. Why did I give it an 8 rating? The park is nice but I probably would only give it a 6 to 6 1/2. The pools I would give an 9. Since the pools are important to me I weighted the pools score more. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
