For a County Park it is a very nice CG. Mostly pull through sites. No pool and no WiFi. Lots of old large trees for shade but can be a problem for roof satellites. A great collection of agricultural equipment. Near town and Hwy 101 but no noise. Definitely worth a stopover. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

All of the utilities are towards the back of the site - again made for people with 5ers not motorhome. Also the map doesn't tell you that the outside ring sites that just water/electric are all grass. And once you get on the inside ring there is no way to get back to the outside ring without going out of the park. Payment is self-serve and they do give a senior and Good Sam discount. There are also several full hookup sites for those staying longer. Price is high for a county park, but this is California. Looked like a nice place for longer stays in the area. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I was impressed with this park. Nice, clean, quiet place to stop for a night. Spaces are roomy, level and mostly empty this time of year. Clean restrooms. Agricultural displays are worth a look. Rate is for E&W, FHU is $5 more. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Not cheap ($38/camping +$2/dog) but this was a good place to set-up camp while driving from LA to SF. CG was pretty much deserted in February. Pretty plants on sites. Some of the tree branches might be low for a big rig: so watch while you park. Lots of level pull-through sites with full hook-ups. Utilities were good. Park has dirt walking trails. We did not have time to visit the museum but enjoyed seeing all of the old farm equipment on the roadside. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We spent three very quiet and pleasant nights at this park. Our site (25) was full hookup and in partial sunshine. Our roof top satellite dish worked fine which was good as there was no cable TV. This park is very dog friendly, except for the two dollars a day per dog extra charge. And the park is exceptionally clean. There were only a few other travelers staying there and we practically had the place to ourselves. There are old farm equipment on display and a nice small museum about early life in King City. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Great park right off the Hwy 101 south of Salinas. After hours, use the envelopes and money drop. Lots of trees and shade if the weather is warm. Great farming museum and equipment displays to entertain the kids (big and little). Fairly easy navigating for large rigs towing. Use the outside loop to get a grassy spot if you want satellite. Inside area is great for riding bikes and walking with pets. Verizon wireless card works well. Good spot for day trips to the coast. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This campground is a gem. Lovely park large spaces between campers, great grass areas and places to walk. Agricultural museum on the property. Clean county park never seems to be busy and a nice place to overnight or spend a few nights. Close to a supermarket and drug store. Exit off the 101 and look for signs. It was very quiet. You can get wood for a campfire. This was a lovely spot! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We paid only 31 per night with our Good Sam discount. A real deal considering the parks with partial hook ups on the beach were 60 to 70 and even the Pinnacles with horrible facilities in the hot sun are 35. From our base at San Lorenzo we traveled up and down the coast, to Salinas to see John Steinbeck Center, Pinnacles, Monterey. This is beautiful country and the salad bowl of the US. During the week we had our choice of lots of nice level sites and according to staff, seldom fills up. Bathrooms are old but clean. Sites are shady and/or grassy. Nice place to ride your bike in the evening. Well done small free museums on property. Boys will get a kick out of looking at old tractors. Maybe they don't have TV reception, we didn't try, there is so much to do and Verizon worked fine. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The lady at the front gate was very nice at check in. The park has both day use and camping areas. The RV area has lots of sites under large mature trees and open sites on the grass. The access is easy to drive in a large rig. It was a great place to stay for overnight but could be a staging point for the Monterey Peninsula area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here after bypassing San Jose because of the neighborhood. The sites were spacious and level.It appears trees could be a problem for some big rigs. The rate at $38 - 40 per night seemed excessive for no WiFi or Cable, but I guess the state needs the money. Showers were free and had plenty of hot water; although you have to keep punching the auto shutoff valve to continue. The bathrooms needed cleaning. There were several staff folks around but they worked mainly on the grounds. The park is difficult to find the first time due to poor signage. We would stay here again when traveling highway 101. For a state park and stay along Hwy 101 near King City whether to use as a stopover or day trip to the Pinnacles - it was a better than expected. In March - the park was not even a third full -and we had our choice of sites. The bathrooms were clean and stocked all weekend. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a nicely landscaped park. Campground is part of a complex which includes a day use section as well as a couple of museums and outdoor displays. Our pull through site was level. Laundry room has two washers and two dryers. It needed a good cleaning; especially the machines. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I have stayed here a number of times. There is no one at the gate anymore. Leave the money in a 'strong box'. Trees are still a problem - many overhangs. I stayed in space 29 again. 30 amp and no sewer hookup. Lots of low end coaches in the park. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here overnight and found it to be a really nice place. It is close to anything you need, clean, and reasonably priced. We would have stayed here longer if we hadn't already made reservations at our next stop. Since it was New Years Day, we picked our spot then went and payed on the honor system. A definite stop if we come back through here. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We loved this place but keep in mind it's a campground, not a RV resort. The grounds were lovely with flowers, lots of trees, birds, bunnies, putting green, horseshoe pit, even a koi pond. We arrived about 5 pm, chose our own site and paid by the honor system. Although the club house, bathrooms, etc. were older, everything was well maintained and very clean. As an aside, there's an old train depot, museum and antique farm equipment on the property which is owned by the County. After a long day on the road, we were willing to settle for anything that had a pull through for our 37' motorhome with toad and really got lucky when we found this place. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I stayed in the grassy area - no trees - got DirecTV. But these spaces don't have a sewer connection. Trees need trimmed - I got scratches on the side and top of the coach. Its an OK stop. There were 2 groups - so it was almost full. New fellow at the check-in window was clueless. Fortunately the lady teaching him was good. Took 15 minutes to check-in. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Very friendly people, clean park. Nice trees, easy access pull throughs. Good place to spend a night or three. Close to freeway offramp, but enough trees that you couldn't see or hear the freeway. We camped here in a Motorhome.
