After coming down two miles of barely paved roads, across a one-lane hard-to-access Bailey bridge, we arrived at the campground. One look at the brown grass, rock road, and run-down office, and we said "Oh, my". But...after 3 days into our week, we have a different perspective. The roads are not too dusty because there is not that much traffic; we don't see the office very much; and we are watering our patch of grass. It is very quiet and peaceful, but somewhat rundown. The previous comments about needing cleaning up still apply. Probably because there is only one full-time employee. The sites are wide, but not very deep. We are here on Labor Day weekend and it does not seem at all frantic; still peaceful and quiet. After checking other campgrounds in the area, we would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Nice wooded setting, staff friendly enough but not terribly informative. WiFi was marginal from what we heard around camp. Terrible one-lane bridge on the way to the campground, CREEP over it. Easy access to Redwood National Park, beautiful scenery, and the Klamath River. We were on the Happy Camper half-price rate of $13, and liked it well enough to extend our stay from 3 to 11 nights. I agree with most of the reviewers here that the people who run this park are generally very friendly and helpful. The park is clean and quite family oriented, and our boys had a good time during our recent two night stay. On the downside, our cable didn't work very well (only about five channels were clear enough to see) and the wi-fi signal was too weak to use, even in the main building laundry room. I told the management about these issues upon check out, and the response was about as weak as the wi-fi signal (they'd have somebody "check it out"). In reading the other reviews here, it seems the wi-fi issue may be an ongoing one. However, all things considered, we would stay here again if we were in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This campground was the last campground we stayed in on our Oregon Coast and Redwood Forest trip. When we first pulled into the campground I was disappointed. The camp was older and fairly unkempt. To pull into our site, we had to drive down one side of the campground loop, back into an empty site, then pull into our site. The western campground loop road would be very difficult to navigate with a big rig because of overgrowth and trees near the side of the road. Our site had 110 power, no sewer and functional, though broken, water valve. The power plug was exposed to the elements and not up to date. The site, and roads are all dirt and grass. Our site wasn't level but we were able to level out sufficiently. As a previous review mentioned, the camp is off highway 101. But it is three miles off the main highway. The road is fairly maintained but if you travel it at night, take it easy. There are some bumps and a temporary(?) one-lane bridge replaces a section of washed out road. The good thing about being three miles off the highway is that it is quiet. However, because of that, it is also less convenient. Our site was in the shady, western part of the campground. The eastern part is a line of rigs in the dust. The full hookups appeared to be more in the eastern section though I would still have chosen the western, shady area over the dusty, sunny, more crowded eastern area. This camp suffered a devastating flood in late 2005 and is still recovering from the damage. They lost 23 campsites when the river tore away part of their park. Also, the bathrooms apparently took quite a hit during the flood and are not yet in great shape. However, we still really enjoyed a four-day stay at this park and would certainly return. The campsites in the portion of the park to the west of the headquarters were very shady and pleasant. (The area to the east is not shaded.) The sites were fairly level, but the mixed dirt/grass surface became a little muddy at times. The location of the park is fantastic, right near state and national parks featuring old-growth redwoods. Also, the coast is right nearby, and we saw whales every day at the mouth of the river. This park is about a mile from the highway, unlike most of the other parks in the area, so it is very quiet. The staff is very friendly and cooperative, and they host a really delicious barbecue on Saturday nights. They have live music -- some of the staffers and their friends play stringed instruments (guitar and dobro), and they are very talented. The park has no laundromat, so we had to drive into the nearby town of Klamath. Also, the WiFi signal was very weak; it worked only in the headquarters building. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Campground was found to be in a poorly maintained condition. The restroom's were VERY run-down, dirty and not stocked. The shower's were sorely in need of repair, the men's shower didn't even have hot water. Several dilapidated trailer's homesteaded the pull-thru section. The trailer's were occupied by a host of unsavory individual's who spent their time working on their R.V.'s until 3 o'clock A.M. each night. After the third night, I complained to the manager. The night's were quiet after that. We paid for a week but left about two day's early. Wonderful location near whale watching and giant redwood's. Would return to the area for more hiking and bike-riding, but would NOT stay at Kamp Klamath again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is what a campground should be, wooded and grassy, the sites are rather small but only every other site is used except doing a holiday weekend, when you arrive you go pick your site and let them know where you are staying. On Saturday evening there is a BBQ salmon/chicken dinner and campfire with sing-a-long, it was great. The owner runs a sightseeing "Funbus" tour to Fern Canyon and the great redwoods, the price was $29.95 and included a lunch when we got back to Kamp Klamath. He is very informative about the redwoods and the area, the tour is well worth the price. We had paid for a two week stay but due to family illness we needed to leave early and he gave us a refund, thank you! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Showers were not what we expected and we opted to shower in the RV. Nice and peaceful, weren't many people there when we camped the first part of June. They used to have cable but said the cable company went out of business. It's too remote for antenna reception. Folks were friendly and helpful. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Just got back from this surprise of a RV campground. An excellent destination campground. The owner Aaron was friendly and helpful and was constantly getting the campground in better shape. A great experience for our kids with a lot of room to ride bikes, my 5yr old and 6yr old nephew had a great time riding around on a large open grass field. A short walk about 50yrds from the edge of the grass field to the Klamath River. Help was friendly and gave us some helpful tips where to fish for Salmon on the river. This is a great place if you don't want that parking lot feel that many of the campgrounds around Klamath have. This place is next to the Redwood National Park so lots of forest. We picked buckets of Blackberries that we hope to make into jam this week. The biggest surprise was the fish smoker onsite. We smoked 20lbs of Salmon with Aarons expert advise for $10 (cleaning fee) plus the small cost of the wood. It's really good, we have lots of it. If you don't fish just go to the local Indians and they will sell you Salmon for around $1 a pound. We also went to Crescent City about 19 miles North where you can pick up fresh caught Tuna for $1.25 - $1.00 per pound from the fidshing boats in the Harbor. We camped here in August 2003 in our Itasca Sunrise SE Class A. This is a woinderfull rustic but still very comfortable and clean campground We camped here in a Motorhome.

As we were here during the off-season we pretty much had the park to ourselves. Very quiet and peaceful with the beautiful Klamath River right out our front door. We would stay here again. Passport America rate. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here through RPI Preferred, and it was clean, well-maintained, had newer showers, nice laundry facilities, and a community room with a book exchange/travel information. WIFI is provided at a cost, there is a required $3/day electricity charge and an optional $2/day for cable (about 6 channels). Sites are grassy, but on-top of each other, which was okay during the off-season, but may be too much in-season. Nice river views. Also has a boat dock. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This RV park is located on the Klamath River. The entrance has a very sharp turn coming in. It did have 50 amp service, but in order to get out with our satellite, we took a site with 30 amp service which worked fine for us. We could not use our washer due to detergents and bleaches damaging the fragile septic system, but they did have laundry facilities which used a different system. This is an RPI park. We camped here in a Motorhome.

RPI rate + elec. Beautiful park, green grass, flower beds, mountain forests and the river. Salmon fishing, boat dock in season. Close to Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park (don't miss). Only critisism is that the sites are too close together. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This place has an awesome setting, right on the river.It is one of the cleanest parks we've ever been to. Had it not been for our Passport America discount we wouldn't have stopped here. Now we will go back every time. They have nice trails for walking the dogs. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park is situated in a good central location to tour the Redwoods (although it is not in the Redwoods itself), and after driving by the other camps in Klamath it seems like the nicest. Beware of a sharp turn to enter the park though. Make sure to drive along the Coast Road (narrow, gravel, no trailers) to Prarie Creek State Park from here. They opened early (mid-April) because of dry weather so there were only 3 rigs here on a weekend. If it were like this all the time I'd rate it a 9, but if it were full things would be tight with rigs close together which I dislike. Motorhomes have the advantage because they can back up into the front row sites and have a view of the river, which is really beautiful, even when the fog rolls in. The Wi-Fi worked fine but I hate when places charge for it ($5+.day). We even got Dish satellite to work despite the adjacent mountain, and they have cable TV (limited channels). Staff was very nice. There are still no amenities in Klamath, so stock up before arriving. They charged $19 with Passport America, no tax. Would definitely stay here again. I can't comment on other problems regarding power and wet ground as others mentioned as we did not run into those problems. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Beautiful views of the river, easy access. The park was clean and well kept. The owner was friendly to all the guests. The sites are on soft grass, so some big rigs may have trouble in the wet season. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

The best thing about this park is the river - it is lovely to sit in chairs and enjoy the view. Not much else to recommend it. The office staff was rude and one of the reasons we left early. The sites were suffering from the rain. If you go here short on groceries or looking for a meal outside the rv, forget it. No restaurants, the grocery is a milk and bread place only. The surrounding area is beautiful, but stay down the road on the other side of the bridge - it has to be better. It is easier to put up with shortcomings when the office treats you fair and courteously. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

A very well maintained open, grassy, park right on the river. Large, level sites, with ample room between them. The 30 amp power was pretty weak. At a 20 amp load, it drops to around 108-110 VAC. The owner said not to use any autoformers or electric heaters. When I asked about the 50 amp sites, he also said no washing machines because they don't want the load on their waste water system. They have five 50 amp sites, but he never put anybody in them in the week we were there. We were there on the $8 Coast to Coast rate. The park is also RPI and Passport America. They charge an extra $5/night for the river view sites. We passed on that and still had a great view of the river. Spotless laundry room with three washers and three dryers. Pleasant owner. Fee-based WiFi ($5.50/day, $12.50/week) that worked well, even though we were about as far as you can get from the access point. We would happily stay there again, but not when we think we might need air conditioning, because of the power situation. I don't know that A/C is ever needed in this location, since it is only a mile or so from the beach. Stock up on groceries before you arrive. The nearest supermarket is 20 miles away in Crescent City. The nearby store in town has no produce, etc. Another reviewer said they have a marina and boat launch area, but they don't. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The park's location is scenic and quiet. Because we stayed here in October there was plenty of room, but the sites would be pretty narrow when the campground is full. The facility is well kept and the wifi (extra charge) is excellent. Satellite reception is easy with no trees near the campsites. The surrounding countryside is accessible by car, bike or on foot and is scenic with many trees including redwoods. The ocean is three miles from the campground. A good place to spend some time! We camped here in a Motorhome.

Great spot to rest and relax or to go fishing if that is your thing. They have a nice Marina and launching area. Only warning is to be aware, there is a speed bump at the bottom of the entrance road, down hill and if you don't come onto the bump square, both wheels at once, you will rock and roll in a big rig. We broke wine glasses and one plate. The rest of the stay made up for the entrance. Do the shoreline drive in your toad and see the sea life. Also drive the red wood forests. They are beautiful. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The view from our site was wonderful, worth the extra $5, and it was peaceful here. Our site was quite narrow and we had people on both sides, so really we were inside the motorhome or would have had to go to the common area to relax. They have nice chairs there to enjoy the river view. The site was level and we did get satellite reception from our rooftop dome. We did see people catching big salmon and a bald eagle fishing so the river is entertaining. Getting into the park requires a U turn from the road into the driveway, but we did manage with a 40' motorhome towing. It is worth taking the coast drive if you have time - the mouth of the Klamath River is where the Native Americans have their nets out fishing for the salmon. We saw whales and sea lions from the viewpoint. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We love this park! It is so beautiful, quiet and peaceful on the banks of the Klamath River. The owners and camp host have been very helpful and make sure you have everything you need. The park is very clean and attractive. Our site is level and on grass. The roads are well maintained with excellent white rock. All facilities, clubhouse, laundry and restrooms are very clean. Wood for fires is provided free. We stayed 2 weeks and would recommend it to anyone! We camped here in a Motorhome.

Many parks say they are river or lake front but this one really is on the river. Great views up and down the river. This place has changed a lot this year. A new owner evidently has made some big changes and this is a really nice park now. Clean everywhere. Very friendly staff and were very helpful. Even the people staying at the park were all friendly, really good "vibes" from the park. We are already planning on coming back and staying longer. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Nice Campground very close to the Redwoods. Staff very friendly. While we had a pull thru site we ended un hooking the dinghy and backing out of our site since there was not enough room to maneuver our 40 footer to go forward and make the turns. If we are in the area again we would choose to stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a C2C & RPI Park. It is a well maintained, pretty park on the Klamath River. That is about the best thing about this park. It is 1/2 mile off Hwy. 101 over a paved road with lots of trees. Once in the park, there are no trees on the sites but they are on the hills surrounding the park. Everything about the sites is inconvenient. The streets are narrow gravel/grass. Sites are grass, large and unlevel. The staff helps you park and parks you several feet from the back of the sites where the utilities are. Our site was low in front & we had to drive up on boards, also put boards under the jacks. The sewer required about 15' of sewer hose which ran up hill. We had to put boards under it also. We used every board we had to level the motorhome & sewer. It was raining so they will probably never dry out. There was lots of freshly mowed grass which we tracked into our coach. They only allow a small door mat. We are fulltime and don't have a home to go to clean up & dry out. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Excellent location to view Redwoods, but mediocre park. Hosts were friendly, but owner decided to drive ATV through park repeatedly at 3am. Hosts did apologize for his behavior the next day. Pool was just opened but not yet heated. Game/exercise room still under construction. Spots were fairly close together and only a very few have pads to pull up on. Would probably get messy with any measurable rain. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This park has everything we needed. The Klamath River is within walking distance and, when we weren't biking and hiking around that, there are numerous activities for kids at the campground. There are also several other attractions within only a few miles. And when the rain started, we were grateful for the cable hookups to keep our daughter occupied. The owners told us that this summer they would be opening a pizza restaurant on the premise and that there would also be nightly hay rides weather permitting. We truly enjoyed our stay and hope to stop in again this summer. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a family friendly park that offers activities for both children and adults that included hay rides, a swimming pool and bingo. The staff was very friendly and the sites were large and well maintained. Another fun activity was picking wild blackberries that grow all around the park. The only reason we did not give this park a ten was that the laundry room was small and the wifi was inconsistent. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We would have rated this park a 9, except for the bait-and-switch approach on their website. Upon arrival we pointed out that the rates on their website, as obtained 3 days earlier, were considerably lower than those we were being charged. We gave them a dated copy of the rate printout from their website. Other associated charges were also higher than advertised. Owner Ray Reynolds personally told us that the website we cited was not his. He said he had nothing to do with that website. However, a WHOIS search of campercorral.net shows both the technical and administrative contact to be "Ray Raynolds" with the same address and fax number as that of Ray Reynolds and Camper Corral. The business card we obtained from the office also shows their website is in fact campercorral.net. The grounds and facilities were clean, although the RV sites are wedged together like sardines in a tin. Mr. Reynolds previously managed a motel in Cambria, California. He should know better than to pull such a shuck-and-jive con on travelers. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We loved this park! We were with friends and were able to face each other and keep our kids corralled. The owner came out and had a campfire with us, and brought marshmallows and roasting sticks. Great place! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This was the perfect base camp for exploring the redwoods and the northern California coast (and apparently for fishing, too, as it's located next to the Klamath River and there were several boats in the park). The restrooms and showers were always clean. My impression was that whomever is responsible for this park really cares about it. Someone was always tending to the lawns, flowers, laundry room, trash area, etc. We stayed for several nights and will definitely return again when in the area. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Very nice park, sites are spacious and grassy with some shaded areas. Park was very well kept and workers were always cleaning or upkeeping. We stayed here for 3 days. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Over-all a pleasant experience. 100 pull-thru sites big enough to handle anything. Separate tenting area. Well groomed grounds, manicured and clean sites and nice a wide (30+ feet). No fire rings in RV area, but a community fire ring every night. Five minute walk to the river, and the fishing, by all accounts, is still good. Neighbor caught 3-15+lb salmon the day after we arrived. Laundry room with 4-washers ($1.50) and 4 dryers (.75); clean and neat. Quiet and peaceful as this is just post-Memorial Day. Lots of typical tourist traps and things to see. Will return if in the area again!! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Liked this campground, big open grassy area in Klamath. Lot's of room to maneuver, hosts were very pleasant. Stayed there a couple of nights on the way down the coast from Seattle. Wifi was fast and free. Lot of tourist stuff to do in the Redwoods (one of the drive through trees is right near the campground). Went fishing with one of the local guides that base out of the campground - Ken Cunningham - they'll take you up the Klamath river on a jet boat and then fish for salmon - we got a 14 lb king that tasted great on the bbq, highly recommend the guide and the campground. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is a beautiful and well maintained park with the friendliest and hardest working owner and employees we've met on our travels. They had some wi-fi glitches while we stayed, but very cheerfully continued to work on getting it up and running. It's sure to be one of our favorite parks. Would highly recommend staying here. Although the park is still recovering from the winter flood, Carol made us feel welcome and worked hard to make sure our stay was comfortable. It's easy to see how beautiful the park is during the summer when everything is green and the facilities are repaired. By far the best RV park in the area and a great place to see the redwoods, elk, and coast. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We camped here soon after the flood. I review this park, because even after the devastation, they were very helpful in finding us a space where the cable still worked, and making sure we were ok with the fact that many things did not work or were not available. You could tell they were on the fast track to bringing their park back to the way it was. I look foward to staying here in the future. We camped here in a Motorhome.

WOW! We just got home and what a great RV experience this was. This is an example of how an RV Park should be run. The place was spotless, the people were friendly, and the kids were more than welcome. We enjoyed the FREE pancake breakfast that they serve on Sunday. The place is just beautiful with lots of grass. The location is very central and there are a lot of fun activities close by. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We have stayed here before, lots of grass, Klamath river within walking distance via a trail in the woods. Very quiet and friendly park. Many people stay here for several months in the summer because it is usually cool. We camped here in a camper.
