This is a great park to visit Napa and ride the Napa Valley Wine Train. The sites are concrete and the security gate is locked at night. Make your reservations early as there are only about 18 sites, but all sites are large pull throughs, long enough for any motorhome including the tow car without being disconnected. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Great access to downtown Napa and the Silverado Trail. The park appears to have been recently refurbished, with plans to add a few more sites in the future. Check in was easy and we were escorted to our site. Site was wide, long and level with green space between us and our neighbors. Wi-Fi was strong. Satellite reception was fine. The park was full every night during our mid-week stay, so reservations are essential. If you’re coming in from the south, the entrance is a sharp left turn. Consider waiting for traffic to clear and turning into the exit lane, which is a much easier turn. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We really liked this park. We were surprised with the size of the sites, enough room for the truck and 30 ft 5th wheel end to end. Level concrete pads, grass between sites. Clean showers, bathrooms and laundry room. Close to downtown Napa. The only downfall is that there is no cable TV hookup. That is why we rated it an 8. We will for sure be back here to stay. Great park to stay for access to the Napa and Sonoma wineries. Rates went up in January to $40 a night, but you get 10% for Good Sam or AAA. There are no weekly/monthly rates, and there is a 28 day stay limit. Camp hosts are friendly and helpful. I would advise calling and getting a reservation due to the limited spaces. There are 6 back-ins. Our 43' motorhome fit with no problem, with plenty of room for the toad. Spacing is also good, no problem with the slides. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This place was expensive due to its location, but that's about it-it had large pull through spots but we requested 2 spots together and we even had printed proof of that. When we arrived, the manager was incredibly rude and basically said "too bad", he was also highly rude to the women in our camp. He told us he was a former cop and could do whatever he wanted because we were just dumb kids--we are young for RVers but we paid just as much as anybody else to be there. We would never stay there again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This was our first visit to this park. We were pleasantly surprised with the park. Although small, it has long pull through sites that will accommodate any length RV. Concrete pads with grass in between sites was nice. Restroom and shower facility was very clean. The camp host was very helpful and pleasant (and chatty). The park has no recreational facilities so does not rate a 10. However, it is a good place to set up camp for a few days as it is close to the wineries. We would definitely come here again. I agree with the other reviews. The campground is in a very convenient location for touring the wineries. It is clean but very sterile. In my opinion it is more like an RV parking lot than what I consider a campground. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This little gem of a park is located right off the Silverado trail in the city of Napa. All of the widely-spaced sites have over sized concrete pads and have 30/50 amp full-service utilities. Half of the sites are back-in and half are pull-thru. Most are satellite-friendly and all will accommodate big rigs. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here in a 45' motorcoach and had plenty of elbow room. Very convenient location to explore the Napa/Sonoma communities. Strong electric, spotty Wi-Fi, easy in and easy out, but if coming from the south: turn in front of the huge electric pole at the entrance. Large, level sites with grass and a picnic table. You can walk to town. Excellent work campers. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Napa doesn’t have many (if any) RV parks that will accommodate the 40 footers, but this one will. It has apparently been remodeled in the last couple of years, turning a dirt lot into a very quiet, pleasant park. You will find paved roads, extra wide, concrete pads and a grassy space between sites. It's easy to maneuver in the park, but be sure to approach it from the north on Silverado Trail as there is a pole in the entrance that would be extremely difficult, if not impossible for the big rigs. The laundry is small but appeared clean. I didn’t check the restrooms. You will get satellite, but they don’t have Wi-Fi. Our data card worked. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This campground was a pleasant surprise. Large concrete, pull through sites with grass separating each site. Tables with seats large enough to accommodate six adults. Quiet. Reservations are taken and a specific site reserved; however, if you decide to extend your stay you may be required to move to another site. Inconvenient, but understandable since they reserve sites. We had to do this twice. Very dog friendly park with large grassy area for them. They do not have an enclosed dog run yet, but we were told that it is in the works, so to speak. There are no trees for shade at the sites, but they have several in the park where you can walk your pets. The camp host was very friendly. The Napa Valley wineries are very close and give you an opportunity to savor the wines produced in the area. We certainly will be back again since we ran out of time for visiting them. An excellent campground. Long, level, concrete sites with patio. Close to downtown for the Thursday evening festivals and close to the wineries. We used this as a base to travel to San Francisco also. There is an excellent host who was most helpful. The only negatives were lack of shade (thankfully it was very pleasant there) and lack of Wi-Fi. If the CG had these, the 18 sites would be full all of the time. We will definitely stay here again if in the area. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a small, well maintained park with concrete pads and very helpful staff. The location is excellent and provides a good base (and good value) for visiting the Napa/Sonoma wine county. The showers, restrooms, and laundry are clean and easily accessible. The park was very quiet and pleasant. The camp hosts were particularly helpful to our daughter and her family, who were RVing for the first time and arrived a day ahead of us. The only downside is the lack of trees for shade, as it was quite hot here during our mid-July visit. The park is clearly popular, based on the lack of availability during our stay (we made reservations 3 months in advance). We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

What a transformation! This campground used to look like a parking lot and it has been completely re-done with double-wide sites and very long parking pads. Paved roads and pads with nice grass between sites. Easy access for the largest rigs and a great place to park and visit all of wine country for a few days. No recreation features, but most people aren't here for that. Clean, neat, great electric, water and sewer and a nice quiet location. Would return to this campground over and over again. They have an outstanding campground host. Very friendly and helpful. Most of the sites are large, level, concrete pull-throughs. Note that all sites face due west, and there is no shade. Bathroom and showers were spotless. No cable TV or Wi-Fi. No campground amenities, but a great location within easy bike or walking distance from downtown Napa. The park has asphalt roads and long, level concrete pads with grass between fairly wide sites. There is not much for kids to do unless something is going on at the fairgrounds. We definitely will return when in the Napa area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This was our first time at this RV Park. The host was great. The site was perfectly level, paved, and long (75'). Nice location, near downtown. Good rates, pet friendly, and hospitable. Access from Silverado Trail is best. We will definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Great camp host. Nice wide and long paved spots with grass area and table next to each site. We are 40 foot with 4 slides and had plenty of room to include our toad. If you don't mind a little traffic noise this is the place to stay in Napa. Be sure to enter from Silverado Trail and not from Third Street. Glad we found a spot in this area that has 50 amp so we can run both AC's if we want to come back in the warmer months. We have found a new favorite spot in Napa. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We were one of 4 other RVs in this large parking lot (off season!). Can't beat the location. Great to walk the dog to town to buy wine, cheese, etc. But if this park had been full, we would've pulled our hair out. It's just a parking lot with side-by-side sites. So, consider your purpose in staying here. Want to walk to town or participate in fairgrounds activities? This is your place. Eager for Napa scenery? Not here. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Stayed overnight on September 24 2008 and had a very quiet stay. Paid $31 with AAA discount. All spaces are pull through and looked to be about 80-85 feet. Highly recommend. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We arrived on a Tuesday without reservations. They must, however, take reservations because they were expecting park to be filled by a group on Thursday. They did take my credit card. Nice park with good separation and healthy well cared for lawns between sites. I counted 6 young trees about 6 feet tall. No shade. Entrance and entrance sign are difficult to find or see. There was moderate street noise day and night. Friendly, helpful staff. We would come here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Good park, recently upgraded. Good electric, concrete pads, very convenient to town of Napa, excellent campground hosts that meet you on your arrival. Will hold even the largest of Motorcoach's. When approaching park from south wait until traffic is clear and go left of huge utility pole at entrance. They do not take reservations, so arrive before noon or you may not get a spot. This is a very nice park and the perfect place to stay when visiting the Napa valley. Very nice hosts. Other recent reviews are right on. Generally very quiet at night once the local traffic dies down, but we had some noise one night from people leaving a reception at one of the Expo buildings. The only other negatives are no cable TV or wi-fi, and only 18 sites. Arrive early to get a spot as they don't take reservations, and cash only. Hard to believe there are no other RV parks in the Napa area, but at least this is a good one. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Great park to see the Napa area from. Access the park from the Silverado Trail....not 3rd street. Concrete sites are well spaced. Nice grass and perfect paved roads. The host was very friendly. The hookups are a 10. The only bummer is that they don't take reservations, and I never could get anyone to answer the phone. Less than 60 minutes to Fishermans Wharf. Less than 60 minutes to the ocean. Wine tasting up the wazoo. One of the best in the bay area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We found this to be a very nice park to stay in while touring the area. Long concrete pads with plenty of space for even the bigger motorhomes as there were several very high end ones staying when we did. Full hook ups and picnic tables at every site. Camp hosts are very friendly and went out of their way to make sure we were enjoying our stay. Although they do not have wi-fi, when we inquired we were informed that we could go up to the main office and get internet connection during their working hours. Again very accommodating. Outside the RV Park area, the rest of the grounds were very parklike and a nice safe place to take a walk. Close to downtown, excellent restaurants, Copia and the Wine Train Station. They are a certified Good Sam Park and offer a discount for members. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We had reservations at Skyline Park for a weeks stay. After one night there, we were able to move to Napa Valley Expo, very nice! Nicer than Napa Fairgrounds in Calistoga and a lot nicer than Skyline Wilderness park. The concrete pull-throughs were almost 80ft long! They have all new utilities and the showers and baths were cleaned daily. It is in the middle of town but almost no noise! The main entrance does close at night but an alternative entrance is open around the clock. Friendly staff and a very nice park-like setting. Very dog friendly with lots of streets inside the expo center to walk with virtually no traffic to worry about...The down side is they don't take reservations. Although, after staying there for six days, turnover of sites is pretty regular. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Still not a destination park, but the improvements are very nice. Concrete pads (but you will still need to level) and full hook-ups are now available. Not all sites have a picnic table. This park has been rebuilt as there are brand new concrete pads, electrical and very little vegetation. I didn't notice a lot of trees like what was mentioned in a previous review, at least near our site, so they must have removed many during the rebuild. Close enough to walk downtown and to the Wine Train in 10-15 minutes. If there is something going on at the Expo Center it can get noisy along the driveway with traffic. Overall it is a no-frills clean park. Host was helpful and friendly. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This campground is really not a campground. The parking is on large curb areas within the park. There is a dump station and 50 amp service at sites. Almost all of the sites are in the trees. It is, however, a great location for camping while doing a wine tour. The camp host was most helpful. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Excellent field located right in the middle of Napa. Convenient to downtown and the local wineries. 50 AMP available at a few sites, but mostly 30. Large grassy field that is level and nice, clean restrooms. Current host informed us that they are putting in sewer and updating the park over the next few months. He also indicated the price will be going up substantially. We came for 2 days and ended up staying for a week. We camped here in a Motorhome.

It's just a big, level, grassy field--but it gets the job done. Partial hookups at the site and a dump station by the entrance. No reservations. Very convenient location for visiting the wineries in the area. Watch out for gate locking time, we were stuck outside at about 10:30--but the friendly security guard saw us and let us in. Great place tour Napa, we stayed here on July 4th and enjoyed a wonderful fireworks show almost over the top of us. You park on a grass area that is pretty level with some sites that have partial hookups (no sewer). Very close to the downtown area and the river, within easy walking distance. Friendly host and went out of his way to find us a place with hookups. This is actually part of the Expo fairgrounds. Stayed in a Itasca 30' Class A We camped here in a Motorhome.

The best thing about this park is the location. It's close to Napa Valley sights and easy to find. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The scenery is not what I would call "beautiful" but I would guess it is greener during winter and spring. Deer and wild turkey are easily sighted. The park is quiet and peaceful. This is one of the few RV parks in the Napa Valley area. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We enjoyed the Staff which were very accomodating. We had "requested" a Full hookup site, which are on a First Come First Serve basis. They were able to set us up and this made our stay even better. We like the access to hiking trails and the ability to see a lot of Wildlife. We will definitely visit again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

If you are looking for an inexpensive campground, with no amenities, that is conveniently located to wine country - this is it! If you are looking for anything else, then skip this campground. Skyline Wilderness Park is a very basic campground. The spots were a comfortable size, however, although we had called about 30 amp service, when we arrived and went to our site we found that we were sharing an electrical box with our neighbor and he had already taken the 30 amp service. So, we were stuck with 20 amp service until he left a week later, but that worked for us okay since we did not need our AC. The other occupants in the campground were a combination of people passing through, some that looked like they lived there full time in some very run down campers, and a group of Hispanic men that lived in their camper during the week while they were working in Napa. They were extremely loud in the evening as they always sat outside with their case of beer and bottle of Jaeger. But, they did not bother anybody beyond that. The showers were just okay - not extremely clean, but not awfully dirty either. They water pressure was strong but the you could only depend on having hot water if you were the first person in the showers in the morning. There was only hot water for one shower and if you were not it (which I generally was NOT), you were left with lukewarm to cool water. The best part of the park was how quiet it was (no traffic noise at all), how dark it was (no lights at night to glare into your windows), and how convenient it was to the Silverado Trail, downtown Napa and Sonoma. And for $25/night for full hookups, you can't beat the price to be in the heart of wine country! There is a laundromat right down the street from the park and a grocery store very close by as well. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

We picked this campground because it is in a great wilderness area and offers terrific hiking and mountain bike riding. We later discovered that dogs were not allowed on the trails. Must be the horses! The site we had (#18) was great with lots of room. However, if you pick a full hook-up site you will be right on top of the next rig. It is very tight! The facilities are okay, but getting old. Hiking the trails is worth the trip because the area is beautiful. And, you can ride your bike into town rather than burn gas! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is well located and has friendly office personnel. The sites are gravel. There are trees. This is a good, safe place to park with few amenities. We were fortunate to get a full hookup, not all sites have sewer. Everything worked just fine and although this is not a "destination" park for us, it is certainly a nice park for several nights. This is just a basic county park RV camp ground. People are very friendly and there are a lot of trails to walk. The park is located on the edge of Napa, so it was just about 8 minutes over to Copia and downtown Napa. There is a big shopping center as you go into town. The location is what sells this park. It takes about a week to really see the Napa Valley and I would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We planned on staying two nights here because of the great wine country location, but the stark, gravel parking lot sites made us want to move on. The staff member we met, however, was very friendly and refunded us one night. The bathrooms were reasonable and the park is very quiet. It is adjacent to a large public park with lots of walking trails and a frisbee golf course. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is a pleasant alternative to a conventional RV park, surrounded by oak trees in a natural setting, and close to the wine country. Full hook-up sites are available, but are close together. Bigger coaches, such as ours, are best suited to the pull-thrus, which offer electrical and water only. It's quiet at night with nice cricket sounds.The woman who handles registration is very nice and helpful. Only negative note, we thought, was that this park has some (limited) working residents using this as home base and a couple sites needed to be tidied up. Nonetheless, it's a very pleasant place and we would stay here again - actually, we stayed here twice. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This CG is a good choice for touring Napa and Sonoma. Sewer sites are first-come, first-serve but electric/water can be reserved and there is a dump station. There is Napa Coin Laundry nearby - driving distance apx 1 mile. The restrooms were very clean, but the showers were typical "wilderness" showers with a touch of mold on shower curtain and a few spiders and webs. Otherwise they were clean, had all needed hooks, and nice rubber and wooden floor mats. The garden area was wonderful. My kids loved the "secret garden" and always asked to visit it when we were at the campground. The staff was friendly and check-in was pleasant. The trails are nice. We saw wild turkeys and deer. It really is a wonderful place to stay while seeing the Napa, Sonoma and San Francisco area. We would stay here again if in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Lovely park to stay in while touring the wine country. Close to town. Quiet and secure key gate at night. We did not have time to use all the trails available but loved the gardens and wildlife. Very very close to Napa wine country. Only 30 minute drive to Vallejo Ferry terminal and hour ferry boat ride into San Francisco ($17 RT) -- best $17 I spent on entire trip. Jointly owned by county and city government. Well maintained and helpful staff. Also has 20+ miles of hiking trails and native habitat garden. We camped here in a Motorhome.
