Its a nice place to park. The only thing that would really be nice is if they had restroom facilities. The camp host is a very friendly & very helpful person. Overall, it is a very pleasant place to stay. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Ditto on the previous review except it's mostly gravel spaces, about 20 minutes to the south entrance to the park, another 40 minutes to Yosemite valley. There is some road noise however it quiets down at night. Non-Elks members pay $20 per night. On Fridays, the Elks offer an excellent dinner for members and non-members for $12 per person. I'd avoid the restaurant across the street. Easy and clear setup for a satellite dish. Sprint cellular wireless card worked fast here. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is an Elks lodge that does allow non-Elks member to stay. Simple grass & dirt spaces. Close to stores, restaurants and Yosemite. No bathrooms but there is water and electric (30 amp) and a dump station is available a few miles down the road at another campground for a $5 fee. Great staging area for daily visits to the park. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here as a home base for Yosemite and to visit some friends in the area. For that it served the purpose. However, we were very uncomfortable and happy we were not in camp much. The sites are so close our awning was touching our neighbors. They make you park face to face, so no privacy at all. Our tables were about an inch apart while having dinner. And forget the campfire. Our fire ring was about 18" away from neighbors. Didn't use bathrooms/shower because of the steep uphill walk. Barking dogs all night from permanent residents. This is an OLD trailer park with RV camping as an after thought. Do not judge by pictures on their website, this place is a dump. But if your not going to be there, and just want hookups, it is OK. Biggest problem is, it's the only place in Oakhurst to stay except for Elks Club, (in which you have to be a member and that's just a steep, dirty parking lot). We camped here in a Motorhome.

The sites are so close together that we could not put out the awning and our picnic table was literally on top of our neighbors sewer hookup. Although we did not use the restrooms or showers, I observed that people had to walk up a steep hill and go over to the more permanent section to use these facilities. They are not convenient at all. All that said, this park is very close to Yosemite's South entrance. If staying in this campground is your only choice for visiting Yosemite, then go for it. Experiencing that wonderful park makes the campground issues of little consequence. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park has very, very narrow sites; our awning practically was over the picnic table next door and there was barely enough room for our toad! Most of the sites back-up to the stream. The ground slopes back towards the stream and is rutted from previous RVs, very sandy and somewhat unstable. Consequently, we were unable to level our rig. The bathhouse and laundry were up a steep hill (probably in the permanent mobile home section). We camped here in a Motorhome.
