The rate reflects a 50% senior discount. This is a Corp of Engineer Campground, one of two on Black Butte Lake. The other being Orland Butte Campground. The campgrounds are open year-round; when we were there in the winter, only 22 campsites were open, but this was not a problem as there were only a dozen or so campers. There are no hook-ups of any kind, but there is a dump station with fresh potable water. There is some shade and some sites out in the open. The campground does take reservations during the peak time. The campground can be accessed off of Interstate 5 either from Corning or Orland. The better road to the campground is from Orland. The road from Corning is very narrow in places. Some sites have a view of the lake and some are back from the lake. The terrain is rolling hills with, primarily, oak trees. There are some hiking trails around the lake. The campground is very pleasant, nicely quite and dark. We have stayed here twice and will likely stay here again when in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Nothing fancy, but the price is right. Had complete hookups and a very level site. Dogs are welcomed, and the Wi-Fi is free and strong. No cable, but 20+ stations over the air. Have stayed here before and probably will again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Not the best park to stay at unless you like the freeway and quick mart gas station noise all night. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed for three nights to rest up during our journey to Arizona. Pleasant folks in an older park. Unique "circle" arrangement makes for easy pull-through in and out. Nothing fancy, just a good stop-over spot. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The rate reflects a 50% senior discount. This is a Corp of Engineer Campground, one of two on Black Butte Lake, the other being Buckhorn Campground. Buckhorn campground is open year-round; whereas Orland Buttes is closed during the winter (currently the first part of September until around the first of April). There are no hook-ups, but there is a dump station. Fresh potable water is available from three threaded faucets in the campground loops. There is some shade and some sites out in the open. There are only a few sites where satellite is possible. Only a few sites have a view of the lake. Only about half of the sites are suitable for RV’s and of those only a few are very level. There are a very few sites where a larger rig would fit. The campground does take reservations but the times that we have been there we have not had any reservations and it has not been an issue. There is a campground host that is very nice and helpful. The terrain is rolling hills with, primarily, oak trees. There are some hiking trails around the lake and some great biking on the country roads around the campground. One great ride is from the campground to Grisly Flats. The campground is very pleasant, nicely quiet, especially during the week, and dark. Our Verizon phone and data card worked well. We have stayed here twice and will likely stay here again when in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Great park. They have wine tasting on request during weekends. Quiet, away from freeway noise, only one half mile. I would definitely stop in again on my way through. Nice, clean, family run park. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We chose The Parkway RV Resort because the place we normally stay in Chico was full, but boy are we glad we found this place! This park is about 1/2 mile (west) from I-5. If you listen really close, you can hear the road noise, but you have to work at it. There aren't very many other units here with us, but all the units are in good shape. There are plenty of shade trees, but they could use some trimming to accommodate for taller units. We just happen to carry a tall ladder and tree trimmers with us, so we take care of our spots. Spots are gravel with grass around. It's not fancy, but it’s quiet. It seems to be safe. Park is easy in and out with easy access to I-5. There isn't a dog park, but there is plenty of grass to play in. There is a nice size pool, but I'm not sure if it is open yet. The gate is not locked, and the water is clear, but there is a sweeping device sitting in the bottom of the pool. We will come back to The Parkway RV Resort. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Very friendly staff, as well as helpful. Sites are gravel with grass between. Well maintained for an old park. Huge trees for shade. My site (A-1) was very level. Wi-Fi worked well. This park is quiet, as it is far enough from the highway. I would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
