This campground features beautiful big trees and a wonderful lake. It is not like some lakes. Nacimiento Lake has lots of "fingers' so you can get out away from others into your own cove. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Too many kids with loud music, swearing, playing loud music, walking through the campsites and not being supervised. Many under-aged drinkers, not family oriented at all. Very disappointing. We camped here in a Tent.

Oh my, where to begin. The only reason we chose this park was we were in the general vicinity and had already had a long day drive. This park was about 10 miles off the highway and it had been raining for several days. First complaint was having to pay $2 each for small dogs that weren't even going to leave our motor home. The second, and main reason for the low rating was that this was a mud pit. And I do mean mud pit. The fall rains rendered this campground pretty much unusable. Just hooking up the water and power was a chore due to the slippery mud. We could hardly wait to leave at daybreak. We would never stay again. The only positive thing was it was near the lovely 18th Century Mission San Antonio de Padua, which was certainly worth the drive to tour. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Great campground! It was clean and well kept. The rangers were prompt in looking into electrical troubles. We needed them several times in our 6 day stay. But they responded within 10 minutes of each call. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

During our visit in February, the campground was practically empty. It does, however, get very busy during summer months. It is a relaxing place to spend a few days during off-season. This campground, as well as the South Shore, is operated by Monterey County Parks. We camped here in a Motorhome.

My comments are essentially the same as last year when I said, "For the past 20 or so years we have visited this park usually at least once during the year. It seems the only thing that has changed is the price. I have a problem in that sites are not designated for RVs only. I have a bigger problem in that I cannot see that any improvements have been made over the years. This year we had to settle for a spot way up the hill from the Marina, not at all level, and if ever there was an asphalt pad, it had disintegrated. We will continue to visit here, most likely, as we rent a lodge unit for our grown children. That makes the discomfort of a far too costly site, in my opinion, amidst tents, worth while. There seems to be no rules as to where boats can be parked, even intruding into space of others. My preference is that if it is an RV space, the space should be restricted to RVs, not whoever gets there first with however many tents. This year, trying to use the dump station would have been hilarious, if not so frustrating. The person before me, 20-30 mintues later, was still in the process of dumping tanks. When he started hosing out the inside of his dump hose, I left, figuring I would find another place to dump my tanks. In short, this place needs lots of improving and monitoring to make sure rules are enforced. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I met my son and his in-laws here for an annual birthday celebration camp-out. We stayed 3 nights in the A loop in the Lynch Campground. I agree with the previous reviewer about the erosion of the roads and pads but it didn't take much work to level in A-2. I looked at the B loop, and it was much WORSE. Very eroded and the sites weren't even close to level. Had no problem with the electric or water, and the water pressure was fine. There was no grass whatsoever, but the kids playground is next to the A loop, and it had well-cared for grass. There were some tent campers up the hill from us, but aside from them, the only motorhomes in the campground was ours and my son's. The nightly rate is very high for what you get. The staff, both county employees and concessionaire employees, were very nice and helpful. I'll come back, but only for the annual camp-out. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We visit this park at least a couple time each year and will continue to do so. It does, however, need upgrading. Interior road through the Lynch campground is eroding away. Spaces are not level and asphalt has eroded away in most places. We had the entire campground to ourselves the two days we were here. Lots of wild animals, including deer and wild turkeys. There are two geocaches, difficult to get to, and not within walking distance of Lynch campground. Still, I managed though I need a cane to get about. We camped here in a Motorhome.

First, let me say that we are state/county park kind of people. Love nature and well-spaced sites. This park has both. We also love off-season camping--no crowds. The park also offered recycling, which is always a plus. But we found this park to be way too expensive for its very rustic state. Un-level sites, crumbling roads, lots of deferred maintenance for $38 (or was it $40? Signs within feet of each other conflicted, so we opted for the $38). We enjoyed it, but doubt we'll be back, even though we only live 2 hours away. We camped here in a Motorhome.

As others have said this is not a resort! What it is, is a wonderful rustic area with tons of wildlife around! We saw deer everyday we were here including several bucks. The lake is low this year, like most CA reservoirs. The sites are not terribly level especially for longer rigs. So if you have an issue with leveling make sure you have something to assist you in the process. We were fortunate and the weather couldn't have been better, cool at night and low to mid 70's during the day. We camped here in a Motorhome.

A resort this place is not but lots of camping sites with the focus being a lake. There are two entities, North Shore and South Shore, neither offering cable or Wi-Fi though there is cell reception. We camped on South Shore where there is a marina offering boat rentals, rental lodges, restaurant and convenience store, now managed by Carefree Resorts. We found resort personnel pleasant and more efficient this year than last when arranging boat rental was uncertain and chaotic. South Shore has several campgrounds with Lynch being in the marina area. For many years we have camped here and will continue to do so though about the only change over the years is a price increase. Not much has been done to upgrade facilities, as paving RV sites or upgrading interior roads. Reservations are not taken and there are no separation of tenters and RVers or seemingly the number of tents that are allowed on one site. A great place for basic camping under the stars and in the dirt. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a campground we've used each year for more than a decade. Not much has changed insofar as improvements. This evaluation is of the Lynch section near the marina. There is a nice playground with a lawn near the store. Most sites need leveling. Certainly we will continue to return but it would be great if improvements were made, like interior road improvements and site leveling. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We camped in the Harris Creek campground, asphalt road needs some work and sites need some leveling. Restrooms were clean but old; good hot showers. Our site had 30amp electric and water. There is a dump station near by. Very peaceful and quiet at night. Sites had picnic table and fire ring. No TV antenna reception, bring a book. We stayed for four nights and had a good time. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Great campgrounds, saw wildlife as in deer and birds. Eagles are there also but didn't see any. We had a level site away from the lake. There is a store and marina for boats. Beautiful area. We are going back in October and camping on the lake. We camped here in a Motorhome.

To call this a resort is a stretch of the imagination but a campground it is. We have been at the Lynch section, one of three sections, almost every year for the last dozen years. Accordingly, comments apply to this one section. There is a landscaped area near the store with a playground. Other then that there is a lot of dirt and dust. Upgrading would be nice, like new asphalt and some leveling of sites. Lots of wild animals around as turkeys and deer. A great lake for boaters and for those who want to have non RVers accompany them, as there are lodges for rent. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The only thing that kept Harris Creek Campground from a 10 was the uneven pads and upgrades badly needed in rest rooms and showers (though they were very clean). Beautiful setting above the lake with paths down to the water. Most sites well shaded and you need it in summer. This a for sure come back campground! We camped here in a Motorhome.

We love camping and not having to stay in RV parks where you are lined up side by side and never feeling like you have any privacy. This is camping at its best. Full hookups and loads of privacy. It's off season and there's only a few people here. The weather is wonderful, and the rates are cheap, 5 days for $125.00. The deer are everywhere along with the turkeys and quail. This is the second time we have stayed here this time of the year and we will be back!!! We camped here in a Motorhome.

This campground is under the umbrella of Monterey County and consists of three different areas on the South Shore. Two areas provide electrical and water and one area sewer along with electrical and water in specific locations. My evaluation is of Lynch Campground where all sites are within a quarter or half mile of the marina. We have camped here over the past ten years during the months of July or August, and during these ten years little visible has been done to upgrade the camping area. Interior roads are paved though they do need a lot of work. Many of the camping sites are a challenge to impossible to level a rig. Many of the sites are dirt with the picnic area containing a table and fire ring of dirt. Most of the sites are shaded by large oak trees and most require backing into. The campground gets very busy, and noisy, during the summer months. This campground has the potential of being a 8-9 since nearby there is a fenced playground with a lawn area, a store, restaurant, arcade, swimming beach and large lake with several launch ramps and a marina. Pontoon boats are available for rental at the marina. Many different kinds of birds are visible and deer and wild turkeys wander through the campground. An undesirable aspect is that tenters are allowed to claim the hookup sites on a first-come, first-served basis, with several tents on one site. As only a few camping sites are open to reservation, and none in the Lynch campground, it can pose a problem for recreational vehicles needing hookups. Despite the drawbacks, we will continue to camp at this facility because of being within less than three hours from where I live and of the availability of the lodges (actually modular homes), as we rent an air-conditioned unit for our married children and their families, retreating to our motorhome whenever we want. July and August can be very hot with the temperature well above 100 when we camped here in July. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a favorite lake somewhat close by to go to. It is hot in the summer months and can be crowded on weekends. The rangers try, but there can be noisy and/or drunk people. The lake is big and fun to play on. Even if you don't have a boat, San Antonio has a swimming area set aside. There is camping right on the beach at North Shore, but South Shore you can just camp near the water, not on the beach. There is fishing for those that like that sort of thing. South Shore has "cabins" (really mobile homes) that you can rent. We did this one year. It was ok, but too pricey for what you get. Stay in your tent, trailer, or motorhome instead. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

I wish I had read the last review before coming. We try to avoid parks where most sites are occupied by full time residents. It tends to make parks junky and run down which this definitely is. Our site was dirt, (road is paved) old hookups and lots of junk around. Won't bother to stay here again. For a traveling RVer this isn't the type of place we want to stay. The Trailer Life rating is way too high. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We use to love staying here and the employees are still really nice to deal with however, the park over the years has really become run down do to all the people who live there full time who have children and junk around their trailers. It's always noisy and people constantly walk through your site with their animals and children. We even had the people next to us park in our parking spot and we couldn't get them to move because they couldn't (or acted like) they couldn't understand English. We don't speak Spanish. We had to park in the visitors spot and carry our groceries until they decided they irritated us enough and decided to move their vehicle. However, a new park is being built just up the road 2 miles north across from the truck stop which is where we will stay from now on. "Too bad because we really like the office people and the park we use to know." We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is the premiere place to RV if you're in central coast wine country. Great spacious park and there are a ton of motor homes here. We stayed for 5 nights and wanted to take advantage of the wineries around us. The facility has 2 club houses and there were a few RV groups taking advantage of them in meetings and meals/banquets. The staff here couldn't have been nicer. They offer several FREE wine tasting cards and quick to recommend places to stop by. They were having a free wine tasting at the park on Friday with cheese and crackers. Saturday they hosted an event at a winery with 12 wineries pouring. Sunday was a BBQ dinner and band. The Sat and Sun was a customer appreciation. Premiere sites had cement pads, while basic sites had decomposed granite which was compacted and level. Easy access and plenty of atmosphere. Wi-Fi was a bit weak even as we were close to the repeater. Weather was in the high 60's and low 70's which made for a wonderful stay. We can not wait to return. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

The park is very nice and accommodates large rigs. The club house/showers are first rate and clean. The people running it are very friendly and accommodating. The only drawbacks I saw were noise from hwy 46 and smallish sites. Some of us could not open their awnings and slide outs pushed against bushes. I would definitely stay here again. This park was less expensive than others in the area, the old saying applies, " you get what you pay for" The park is old and run down, there are tress but they are over grown and will rub the sides of the RV on some sites, some people live there and have tons of junk in and under there trailers, some trailers are old and beat up, it is not very appealing, the pool is not heated so it is closed most of the time or is un-usable. The thing that bugged us the most is that at 5:30 am some guy gets up to go to work (lots of workers here) ( I I am guessing a worker or some really bad camper) goes outside and starts his diesel truck and runs it for 20 minuets I guess to warm it up, heaven forbid that it was was 55 degrees outside and he might freeze to death, if that is not bad enough at least 6 times he or she went out and opened and slammed the vehicle doors, and I mean slammed them, zero regard for other campers. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Starting off, once you get over the sticker shock of the rates you feel happy to be here. Good things about the park were that it was very clean, all paved roads and some concrete pads. Nice clean pool and spa. Laid out very nice. Discount for AAA and Good Sam. Not good things about the park were price was high for area, (Paso Robles is not a destination spot). We were charged an additional $3 for a dog which didn't use any amenities. Wi-Fi was terrible and office just kept giving excuses and I spent an hour on the phone with a support tech and no help. Cable TV was limited. We will probably never stay here again. If you are planning to stay get a rate quote first. Cheapest was $50 up to $70. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is our second stay and both stays were great. Wonderful location, friendly staff. Very clean, well maintained and easy to navigate in a large RV and towing. Only downsides are they fill fast, are pricey and can be attract noisy RVs during certain times of the year. Plan to stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stopped here overnight. The pull through sites were level and easy to access. Many of the other campers in the park seem to be long term residents. The office people were friendly and nice and wanted to make sure we had everything we needed for our stay. The price reflects a Good Sam discount. We would stop here again when passing through. My wife and I love this park. We've stayed here twice now and have had such a great experience that we plan on staying here again and again. PROS: The entire place is VERY well groomed and maintained. Location is perfect. Close to several wineries and the scenery is amazing. Price is reasonable, there is a huge variety of sites to choose from, concrete, crushed granite, back in, pull through, nice dog walking areas, etc. Cons: Few. But the crushed granite sites ARE messy with the dogs and the feet. Nightmare. We'll probably get a concrete site next year. Sites are a bit close together, but that's pretty typical of RV parks. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is a good place for a lay over. I wouldn't stay here long term. The sites need to be cleaned and better maintained. There was trash in my site when I arrived and the weeds needed to be trimmed. It's very dusty here, the campground needs some TLC as it's a bit run down and trashy. Lots of diesel pick up truck engines start early in the morning and run for 15 minutes or more before finally leaving for work! It seems this park is primarily for local immigrant workers and their families. I didn't do laundry here and I didn't use the bathrooms. I stayed a couple of days to visit The Hearst Castle and to do sight seeing along the coast in San Simeon. Paso Robles is a nice little town. All the newly built shopping areas are located on the south end of town about 10 - 15 min. drive away from this campground which is located on the outskirts of the north end. Although the receptionist was very nice and friendly, I probably won't stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Sites are super close together. We are sharing a small patch of grass with our neighbors parked about 7 to 8 feet away. Park is close to 50% permanent or long time residents. Several people start going to work at 5:15 am in the morning. This place is just OK. While it is very close to highway 101, traffic noise is not an issue. To me it is priced a little high for what you get and the closeness of rigs, but is probably your best bet if you want to stop in Paso Robles. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

I liked this quiet, peaceful park that served as a very nice stopover while cruising. $32 seemed a bit high for being in the middle of nowhere, but I guess some people come here to explore the wine country. (?) It was less expensive than the other option. The staff was nice and arranged for a nice pull-through for us for our late arrival, giving us two sites to accomplish this. The camp was quiet and in a bucolic setting with some small trees around, but none to block our satellite. The free Wi-Fi worked great, and we stayed through noon the next day to use it. There are alot of full-time residents, but that aspect seemed perfectly fine here. I did not use the facilities, so can't comment on that. It's several miles into town, and we found the best Mexican buffet for the money ($7 lunch $8-$10 brunch/dinner): Marisco's 7 Puertas. Lots of savory meats and shrimp. From the exit for Hwy 46, head west toward the fast food area, but make an immediate right down a frontage road past Carl's Jr. My ranking would have been higher if the price was lower, if there were spectacular view sites, and if the sites were larger with more privacy. (ie: I'm not a fan of RV parks). I would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a nice park, but we got moved around before we even arrived, and they had us down for the wrong days. We had to move during our stay and the the quality of the place was slipping a bit. When the web page did not work I sent an email to rvranch101 and received a very nice response. We stayed two very cold (mid-20's) nights at this campground and were pleased with the way they worked to help us be comfortable and enjoy our stay. They filled two LP gas bottles for us at a fair price during our stay. The bathrooms and showers were cold but the water was hot. They are as clean as I have seen anywhere and cleaner than most. I marked a waypoint with my Magellan Explorist 600 at 35°40.897'N 120°41.880'W Elevation 702 feet. We plan to visit Paso Robles RV Ranch again. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

Not sure about price. This place was fine really. Kind of nestled in some foothills. Cute little cut-out village for kids and groups. Wonderful bathrooms and spotless showers. Great laundry facilities. Easy access. I marked it down because it felt like a concrete village. Nothing between units in most of the park. There was a sewer clean-out that kept bubbling up and was a bit stinky. When I went to talk to the manager I found that the office had shut down at 5:00PM. Seemed a little early to me. We were there during some of the worst storms in the areas history so give them a little slack for that. In fact we were there because we were originally headed for Big Sur on Hiway 1 and had to back track over 100 miles due to a landslide. I would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Beautiful resort! They advertise this as a premium resort and it is. The staff is great and the facilities are impecable. If you like wine, you have an easy drive to the 300 or so wineries in the area, but if you choose to just relax there, they have a wine bar open Thursday - Sunday. This is a brand new RV Resort located right along Hwy 101 north as you leave Paso Robles with very easy access to and from the highway. Access to the resort is easy with the exit being narrower at the gate but very manageable with a "big rig". We stayed for two nights and got a promotional rate (normally $65-75 depending on site). Sites accommodate any size big rig, however site pads could have been wider and site entry could have been designed to have a flared access to accommodate bigger RVs. Site pads are very nice decorative stamped concrete and all hookups are convenient. Cable is extensive and Wi-Fi is fast and works very well. The on-line registration charged me $3.50 so customers should be aware of that service charge. Some traffic noise but as trees mature along highway edge that should lesson, and the owners are considering further sound barrier. Facilities were immaculate, which we examined from outside but did not use washrooms or showers. The resort has an on-site Magnolia Lounge which can be viewed online. All and all a very nice RV Resort with many, many things to do in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We have been RVing for over 25 years and we are now full-timers. This is by far the nicest park we have ever stayed at. The amenities were first class. From the ball rooms to the piano bar. Two swimming pools, one for children, and one for adults. The staff could not have been any nicer and accommodating. You have to see this place to believe it. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The rate reflects a 10% Good Sam discount for a “Standard Site”. This is more than we like to pay for a campground, but it is the market in the area for anything reasonable. The park has many amenities, such as pool, which we do not use. This would be a great park for a family with kids. The park is very nice and well maintained. Utilities were all good. We did get a site with satellite, and for most sites it would not be a problem since the trees are still very short. Our Verizon phone and data plan worked well. If you ask, they will give you free tasting vouchers (four per day) for some select wineries. If visiting the area, we would likely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is an outstanding park. It is immaculate and quiet. Very clean laundry room. Beautiful flowering trees as well as evergreens. Pristine landscaping. Nicely laid out sites which are large and easy in/out. Nice landscape lighting rather than harsh overhead spot lights. Staff very friendly and helpful. Nice store on site. Town down the road is quaint. All stores close by. Two clean dog areas, which is why they charge $3 per day per dog, I guess. This would be my only complaint as it seems very high. This is one of the nicest RV parks we've stayed at. We stayed in a back-in, gravel site, but it was easy to park and pleasant enough. The RVs are fitted in tight together (especially on a holiday weekend) but that's the only downside. The facilities, pool, jacuzzi, and fitness room were all terrific. Personnel were super-nice. Wine Country RV Resort in Paso Robles is a ten if I’ve ever seen one. The $60 per day rate reflects the weekly rate including 10% Transient Occupancy Tax with a 10% discount for Good Sam. When we arrived I told them I have a 38 foot Monaco with a motorcycle lift holding my Triumph and our CR-V tow car. I explained I used my motorcycle for my Patriot Guard mission where we honor veterans including parades, funeral services, escorting the deceased, welcome home and send off missions. The front desk was very interested in the Patriot Guard Riders and put us in the best site; a 92 foot site at the top of the RV Park where the view was spectacular. They didn’t charge me extra for my motorcycle even though it is an additional vehicle. There are beautiful pools and spas and one spa dedicated to adults. At the end of our stay we were able to fill up our propane at the park which is a real nice amenity. Normally we stay in Pismo Beach about 45 minutes south but I wanted warmer drier weather and sure glad I did and this is where I’ll stay from now on when visiting the central coast. Tons of room at the site, wonderful friendly people and great water pressure so you’ll probably want to have your pressure regulator ready. Have fun and enjoy the wineries and old town Paso Robles! We camped here in a Motorhome.

I can't disagree with what others have said about the well landscape and maintenance. I was very disappointed with the site layouts. Yes, there are a few pull through sites but not many and most of the sites are either back ins or pull ins for motor homes. The end result is you are end to end and then facing your neighbors. Four of you share a small strip of grass. Now that is fine if you are a social sort and you get good neighbors, but there is no privacy at all. I thought the roads were narrow for maneuvering with a big rig. Price reflects a discount because a problem with my reservation. Not in my view a 5 Star layout and expensive. This is by far one of the nicest parks that we have stayed in. The grounds are manicured. The staff is very helpful and the location is perfect. They have a great mix of high end rigs(there were two Prevosts and plenty of other big RVs) and families camping in trailers. There were a lot of kids down by the trailer section and all the kids were having great time but certainly not bothering anyone else in the park. The pool and spa are perfect after a day of wine tasting. If I had one complaint it would be that the cement pad they have for your picnic table is RIGHT next to your neighbor's septic connection. We moved our table out to the grass which worked fine unless the sprinklers came on that night. We are already planning our next trip back. It was really nice to be in a park that wasn't like a parking lot. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I have been to this park several times and always enjoy it. The price reflects a week stay in premium site, with one night free for staying a week. It also does not include the $3 pet fee. The facilities are in top condition and well cared for and the grass is so green it looks fake! Sites vary in price due to location and if it's paved or not. The sites at the top along the wall do have road noise, but it calms down quite a bit at night. Visiting all of the winery's from this location is ideal, and some of the local wine tours will pick up and drop off here. The office staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I used the workout room daily. There are aerobic machines, free weights, and a universal machine. There is also an adult only spa separate from the main pool. The views from the park are great as well. This park would be a solid 10 if it had a better sound wall for road noise. I will stay here whenever I am in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

On the pricey side, but it is a nice park. Only complaint is the length of the sites because we had to park our truck in their parking lot. They do provide ample parking spaces for those that can not fit in their site. Everything is well groomed and maintained. Restrooms and laundry are clean and well stocked. Nice exercise room as well. Make sure you go to the Pioneer Museum. It is only open Thurs-Sun from 1-4p.m. It is free admission and once you get inside you will not believe how big it is and how much they have in it. This is a very nice park to visit the Paso Robles area and they even have coupons for free wine tastings. The rate was with a winter 30 percent off coupon we found on the internet. Without the coupon, the rate would have been over $75. Restrooms are clean, good laundry facilities, and room enough to walk the dog. The only downside, other than the rate, is that the some of the sites are arranged a little oddly, where you may have to share a picnic table area with your neighbor. We have stayed here several times and obviously like it. But a lot of the sites are gravel and if you are in the rainy season, if there is one in Paso, it can be messy. Also, for the price one should expect "major" cable TV. They only have a dozen or so channels and they are all fuzzy. By now they should have HDTV. We were fine with their Wi-Fi. This park was going to get a much higher rating until we got up on Monday to find the maintenance man watering the lawn, the picnic table AND OUR canvas chairs because he was too lazy to move them to the dirt. Extremely poor customer service. The park also has a lot of highway noise. Plus it is overpriced. They even charge an extra $3.00 per day for a dog which makes it very over priced. This is a beautiful and clean park, we stayed 4 nights. Everyone working here very friendly. Sites all have a nice grass area and plenty of room for our 4 slide outs. Good Wi-Fi reception. Conveniently located for our day trips to Pismo, San Simeon and Cambria. Nice pet area. Would have rated 10 but think $3 per day for pets is a little high. (Rate includes one weekend night 2 pets and Good Sam discount.) We camped here in a Motorhome.

I love this place. It's beautifully landscaped and well maintained. The roses are in bloom right now and they have many beautiful flowers and plants. The pool is heated just enough to be comfortable and the jacuzzi is nice and hot. There's an upper jacuzzi for adults only. The sites are nice and level. Facilities are modern, clean and well maintained. The staff could be a little more friendly and gracious. They are efficient and competent always. I've stayed there three times and would stay there again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a very nice park, well maintained and many amenities. We stayed in a premium site which is determined by if it is paved or not and the location of the spot. The premium sites are higher on the hill and have more of a view. The negatives for this park is the noise from highway 46 which runs next to the park and is closest to the premium sites, and the lack of a patio area. The paved sites also may be a little narrower than the dirt sites so when the lawn is watered your rig may get watered as well. Also be careful leaving lawn chairs on the lawn as the automatic sprinklers may soak them over night. All in all though the negatives are minor, and the surrounding area is beautiful. I would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a really nice RV park. We were located up on the hill, a long site with nice views of mountains and vineyards. Office staff was great and friendly: offered us complimentary wine tasting coupons. Close to a couple of good golf courses, and the fitness center was definitely adequate. We visited Morro Bay, Pismo Beach and several wineries. We would definitely return. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Beautiful park, surrounded by wineries and vineyards. Paved, level pull through which are double sites, but we didn't have anyone camping behind us. Pretty pricey, but very nice amenities. Pool, spa, clubhouse. There is a waterpark you can walk to, next to the RV park, but we couldn't tell if it was going to be open for the summer, or was for sale. Nice to have if you're camping with kids during the summer. Great WiFi, bbqs, table, good lighting, dog park, grass/small trees next to each spot. Well maintained. Very quiet. Would return again and stay longer next time. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a beautiful park. Sites are level and impeccably maintained. Campground has all amenities including a hot tub for adults. It is well located, easy to maneuver and we can't say enough good things about it. Staff was friendly and we had a great time. Lots to do, we suggest staying here and exploring the area including wineries and Hearst Castle. We stayed with our dogs, there are small dog runs and MANY dogs. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back again for sure! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This park gets my rarely given out "10" evaluation for its location, service, and outstanding park facilities. We phoned ahead for a reservation but when we arrived the site was a little far from the laundromat so they gave us a free upgrade to a paved premium site next to the center. The park is new and well designed with very modern facilities. It is situated in the middle of hundreds of wineries and a coupon from the front desk gets you free tastings at 7 wineries down Union Road which is 5 minutes from your RV site. If you like to golf then Hunter Ranch Golf Club is 5 minutes away and has a spectacular practice fairway with a short 3 hole course to warm up with. All FREE !!! River Oaks Golf course is about 10 minutes away and is a 6 hole course that you play 3 time for your 18 holes. Since my wife is just learning the game this was a great course for her to practice. $18 for a days golf that included a cart. So with our free site upgrade, wine tasting, golf, and a spectacular RV park they get a "10". Oh, did I forget to mention high speed internet is included in you site fee? We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here as part of an FMCA Chapter Rally. The facilities were excellent. They even provided a large BBQ and furnished the wood. Kitchen facilities were great as was the lodge area where we dined and played cards. There is a lot to see and do in the area. Be sure to visit the Estella Warbirds Museum just up the road and visit the many wineries in the area. We will return next year and enjoy the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

A great RV park. Interior roads wide and accessible. Sites both paved and graveled with well-maintained hookups and grounds. Two adults only spas, pool was cold but very nice. Well-stocked store and office. Beautiful bathrooms with large showers. Nice fitness center. Friendly staff. Sits right on the edge of CA Hwy 46 so sites at the top of the hill can have road noise, but lovely west facing views and sunsets. Now this is a ten. Nice easy check-in, friendly help, level sites and the Firestone Winery out the gate and up the hill. We were here for one night and weren't disappointed. Good warm weather and REALLY good wine. There are two levels and we were on the main one with there being one up the hill with some smaller sites and some large ones with views. There are 75 wineries in the area and the Firestone-Walker brewery, so there is plenty of liquid refreshment. We'll be back when we can stay more than one night. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a great RV park to use as a base for exploring wineries and even the Pacific coast on highway 1. It takes about 30 minutes to get to highway 1. There are many great wineries in the area, and Firestone Winery is next to the park with its own gate and path from the campground. Try the Far Out wineries in the hills where you will find smaller, family run wineries. Great restaurants in Paso Robles. The campground is a newer park with wide roads, and wide sites. Some in the lower level are gravel, but most are paved. If you stay in the upper level you do get some road noise, but there are some view sites up there that have great views over the park. We stayed in 126, and would ask for that site again. A visit to Hearst Castle is a must, and go a little further up Highway 1 to Seal Beach to see hundreds of seals on the beach. If you don't mind a 2 hour drive up highway 101, you can get to Monterey and the 17 mile drive, then come back down highway 1 on the way back. We did the drive, and left at 9am and were back in the park by 6:30 pm, with many interesting stops in between. Love the RV park and the area, and we shall be back here soon. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We spend a lot of time in RV parks and rarely give a 10 rating, but this park has it all. The facilities are outstanding, and it is managed by great staff. The park is situated in the middle of 26,000 vineyard acres producing more than 40 different varieties of wine. Reservations are suggested as it is often full. They have a tour of 12 wineries off Union Road that provide free wine tasting. Since we arrived one week after the wine festival we were able to get all the specials without the crowds. It has easy access for big rigs with a variety of site options. I can hardly wait to come back to my favorite park. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Wonderful Park. Very clean and safe. We had a "deluxe" spot with the vineyard in the backside. These lots were larger and more secluded. We will go back again and stay. Great park. Stayed in site 67, which is a deluxe pull through site, full hookups, with concrete and a grass area on the side of the rig. Close to the office and pool. We were down in the lower part of the park, so it was quieter than the upper section which borders Route 46. The park was spotless and well run. The Ravine water park is within easy walking distance from the park and is a great place to visit with the kids. The Ravine water park is a seasonal park, so call before you go if you intend to use the water park. We didn't have an opportunity to do any wine tasting tours as we were in town for a wedding, however the park is very close to numerous winery's and and we saw several different tour companies coming through to pick up and drop off. The area is beautiful and I'd recommend a trip up the Silver Horse Winery for the scenery (the wine is great too, had a wonderful Cabernet at the wedding). We will be back. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for a few days while visiting with friends in the area. We found registration easy, everywhere you look it is clean, staff is nice, and are helpful in helping you find places in the area. Free WiFi. Also due to Central CA Fair, there will be higher rates in the next few days, but it's well worth a very nice site overlooking a winery, and enjoying the marvelous sunsets. We love staying here and look forward to coming here again. Not the first place to charge a fee for dogs. There is a $3 per dog/per day fee, but believe that is the wave of the future as we paid that type of fee on the East Coast this past year. Much nicer than majority of RV parks we have stayed in these past months. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Great stay at Wine Country RV resort! We had a site overlooking the Firestone winery vineyard: gorgeous. Site was a bit uneven: had to use leveling blocks. Wi-Fi signal wasn't strong enough to really use. Kids loved the Ravine waterpark across the street (ravinewaterpark.com). Mom and Dad loved the grapevine-lined path to Firestone. Bathrooms were clean, pools were clean. We were charged for each child over six years and for the dog, but would gladly do it again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We spent 4 days here. The rate included $3/night for our small dog. This was a first for us (being charged for a dog). We thought--good, if they charge for the dog, they will provide a nice dog walk; we were wrong (gravel only). Plus a "rule" that your dog is not allowed to wet anywhere but one of the 2 dog runs--yeah right. I figure I saw 30 dogs, at $3 per day, that is $90 per day that could buy a lot of sod and grass seed. At least they did not enforce that rule--nor a number of the other rules they told me to make sure I read. We enjoyed the wine tastings and the area--they even had a tasting right at the park one evening. We would stay here again since we enjoyed Paso Robles. The Wi-Fi worked very well. The only downside (besides the dog issue) was how tight the park was because of the crowds--all the vehicles (toad cars and tow trucks) were parked along the sides of the roads making it extremely difficult for big rigs to back into their sites. Courtesy of the other campers (using the parking lots while people are pulling in around you) would alleviate this. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Stayed here about two years ago on the upper level, near the Hwy 46 and had lots of noise. Stayed on the lower level this time, close to the Airport Road. It's pretty busy too. Next time will try for something a little more to the center of the lower level. Rate is an average for a four night stay, Thursday through Sunday night, with Good Sam discount and a $3 a day charge for the dog. Rates are different for week days vs weekends. Has a grass patch at every site and they water at night, but did not during the weekend. Verizon aircard and cell service is very good. Think it is a little nit picky to charge for dogs. This is a nice park, but I feel I have to share the experience we had. While we were staying there a large group of bikers came in. They stayed in the level above us and drove us crazy. (Right now I'm listening to motorcycles roaring back and forth). Every time they went to the office, the store or the laundry they went on their motorcycles. My complaint regarding the park is that when I asked if they could at least talk to them about turning down their loud radios, nothing was done and they treated me as if I was trying to create trouble for them. We will never stay in the park again. No one else may ever experience what we went through but the response, or lack thereof, has turned us off of this park. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park is relatively new, and is being well maintained in order to keep it looking sharp. Facilities are top notch. One small drawback, was that some sites don't have space to park your toad. You park it in a spacious lot in front of the office. Not a big deal, unless it happens to be raining when you need your car. Great location to explore local wineries and the central coast. This is probably the nicest park we have stayed in, whether for a short term, or long term visit. Not cheap, but definitely worth the money. You are right next door to a winery and can walk to the wine tasting. They also have two different outdoor jacuzzi's and have really gone all out to make them nice. We have been to this wonderful RV park multiple times both alone and with our motorhome club. In fact, we spend every New Years Eve there utilizing the fantastic clubhouse. There is nothing to criticize about this park. The sites are long and wide. The Wi-Fi works well. The hookups are modern. The staff are well trained and very customer friendly. And, of course, it's located right in the middle of the California central coast wine country. We will be returning with 30 motorhomes next New Years for our annual 5 day outing. And we expect to drop in a couple of times alone. I can't recommend an RV park more. We camped here in a Motorhome.

A well designed, new park with an area for groups and an area for individuals. Has nice sized level sites. Some back into view of next door vineyard. While this is not a true Resort by our classification, the upper level adult spa is the best I've seen yet. We are on a quest to discover the best RV Resorts, best restaurants/coffee roasters/cafes, best artisans, best theatre, best of nature in the U.S. Our rate reflects monthly plus electricity. Do not stay here. They will lie to you! We reserved a pull through site 4 weeks in advance of our stay on 12-31-2009. We wanted a pull through because we were simply passing through, and did not want to unhook our tow. We were given a site number and confirmed for a pull through site. When we arrived at the park we were told that we were in a back-in spot. The reservation had been changed by their personnel on 12-26-2009 because it was for their convenience. The park was almost full, so in order to maximize their money, they moved us, without telling us, so they could put a person into the site we originally reserved, for a longer stay. At first they denied that I had a confirmed site, and then relented and said that the reservation had in fact been modified 3 days earlier. Tough luck, take it or leave it. Since we were in the middle of nowhere, we had to take it. The park is nice, but the attitude of the personnel and the rudeness of calling me a liar, (I did have a confirmed site and the documentation to prove it) is unacceptable. We will never stay here again. I recommend that everyone else also refuse to stay here. Honesty and integrity mean more to mean that a clean park. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I have been a guest of Wine Country RV Resort for four years now, and have frequently visited the RV Resort at least 4-5 times per year. This is probably one of the best RV Resorts I ever stayed at in California. It not only offers great sites, great staff, great owners, and awesome location, but it is also a very desirable town to visit while in California. The home of the largest State Fair, the Mid State Fair, it is also a great vacation getaway. Great restaurants, shopping and it is proximity to the coast, Cambria, Morro Bay, San Luis Obispo makes this one of the greatest destinations. And if you are a wine enthusiast, this area offers some of the best wineries in Central California. I strongly recommend this RV park. If you have kids, get this, there is an awesome water park right across the street from the resort. Fun for the whole family. The owners and the manager and its staff are among some of the best people I have met in the RV Resorts I ever visited. Check our their upcoming Motorcoach RV resort a couple of miles down the street. A Mega Resort offering all the fun you can own and enjoy in California. Great people and a very nice campground. we were here with a group of 30 rigs on the upper level. We have now stayed one row away from hwy 46 and have to agree it was a little noisy. We were 2 rows farther away in May and hardly noticed the road noise. They have built a new adult only spa area on the upper deck also and it is very nice. This is a well designed multilevel park built on the side of a hill in a very famous wine growing region. The approach is easy as you turn off 101 to Hwy 46. You turn left off 46 onto Airport Road but this means crossing 4 busy lanes of a divided highway without any lights. Be careful on this turn and I am sure in the future they will have to put traffic lights in. The park is huge and well designed for big rigs but has no directional signage for the internal roads. There are different types of sites for different prices which really means how much of a view you have off the hill. We stayed at the top in site 144 which backs onto Hwy 46 and got a lot of road noise. Pick the sites lower down by the registration building and you will have a good nights sleep. Ask about their wine tasting card. It is free and allows you free tasting at 5 different wineries all about 10 minutes from the RV park. We enjoyed out stay and would definitely come back here but stay away from the back sites. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This park has multiple levels of site amenities ranging from gravel to concrete, on two levels just off Highway 46. The upper level has more road noise. The lower level is more sheltered from noise and wind. All sites are full-service, and all interior roads are paved, although some corners are very tight. Most sites will accommodate big rigs, although some pads have very sharp approach angles that could cause bottoming out. There are two dog runs but the park is definitely not pet-friendly (you're apparently supposed to drive or carry pets to the fenced areas, as they're not allowed anywhere else). This is one of the best places we've stayed. We came in without a reservation and the staff was phenomenal and very welcoming. We were in Paso to celebrate an anniversary and they even brought us a little gift! We had a site that backed up to the Firestone vineyards. Restrooms/showers are nicely decorated and extremely clean. New jacuzzi/waterfall in the center will be gorgeous when finished. Some road noise as was mentioned by another reviewer, but you're off hwy 46. It was not enough to bother us at all. Can't say enough good about this place. We will be back: often! Awesome. They pack them in at this campground but the location, cleanliness, and quietness cannot be beat. The Verizon air card and satellite worked well. The grounds are slightly leveled. The GPS doesn't pick up the address so use the Ravine waterpark on the corner as a landmark. There is propane on site. They even had a wine tasting at the office when we checked in. Nice touch. Hearst Castle is under an hour away. Restaurants to explore Villa Creek, Artisan for Sunday brunch, and Bistro Laurent. We will stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Nice park, but very expensive considering I was there for over 2 weeks. Three negatives; One, it was very hot and the park continually lost power, each night when I came home the trailer was over 100˙ inside, took all night to cool down. Two, a neighbor spilled allot of sewage when he disconnected. I reported it twice and no one ever came to clean up or cover up with kitty litter or something. The stench was horrible especially in the heat. Three, you have to pay for internet and it constantly went in and out. Couldn't get through an email without loosing connection. But I will stay again, because there isn't much choice. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

A wonderful, well kept park. We backed-in our rig right against a vineyard. Pretty grand we must say. The size of the sites were great. Trees have been planted, but are still young. Some of the sites were paved in concrete and others had pea gravel. The park is very dog friendly, with an enclosed dog run available. The site we were in was one of the premium sites and a bit expensive we thought. The staff was extremely friendly. They are in the middle of putting in a grand waterfall with lots of landscaping in the middle of the park. It will be a grand spectacle. They have a large social building, but did not have any programs going on during our stay. They have a very nice pool area with great lounge chairs. The laundry facilities were also nice and clean. This is one of the nicest parks we have stayed in. We ended up in a premium site, but were given a discount since our site wasn’t ready upon our arrival. Our site was paved, level, and in the shade of a modest tree. The landscaping is very well maintained, as is the entire park. Staff is helpful and friendly. The showers were clean and spacious and the pool looked inviting, although we didn’t use it. Firestone winery is immediately adjacent and offers a 10% discount on tasting and wine. Another winery, Eberle, is located one mile to the east and offers complimentary tasting; their selections are excellent – don’t miss their Vigonier! We camped here in a Motorhome.

Going east on Highway 46 one sees on a hilltop a sign indicating RV Resort. One should turn left at the intersection down the hill rather than do as we did and drive right on by expecting there would be a turn into the resort at the top of the hill. Experience with the staff was great from calling for reservation through check-in. A nice patch of lawn between each space that has a picnic table and BBQ grill. Water comes on at night so don't leave anything out you don't want to get wet. Some spaces have concrete pads though many, as was the one we were assigned, were of gravel. Vegetation between spaces and in a few years trees will be mature enough to provide shade. Wi-Fi free with strong signal and TV channels adequate. A bit pricey but facility very nice. I would rate a 10 were all the pads of concrete. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This was a fantastic find. Super tidy and well kept, the owner shows a very high pride of ownership. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The location was great for a passing though stop-over which we did coming and going. Wineries nearby if you want to spend some time out wine tasting. There is also a waterpark next door with tons of fun for the kids. Pool and spa were clean and very nice, as were the rest of the grounds. The spaces were a bit on the small side but that is because this RV Park was built on some premium land. The crowds were good there too with many groups camping / family reunion activity. There are tandem front to back pull throughs where four RVs could all occupy the same common grass area between them all. They have both DG and concrete sites available at different prices. As for the other reviews worried about getting nickle and dimed for every extra person / dog etc. so be it: dogs make messes and more people use the facility so if you show up with ten persons in your RV you should pay more! We came here to meet friends that were new RVers so we stayed in a "buddy" site. It was perfect for the reason we were here. One site is a pull in, and the other is a back in. That puts your awnings facing each other and you share a common grassy area. The location is perfect to visit the many wineries in the area. The park is well maintained and the staff is friendly and helpful. We had a view site that looked at the surrounding hills, but directly below was the RV storage area. A row of well placed hedges would have solved the problem. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a lovely park in the wine country in Paso Robles. Definitely a destination resort. The staff is friendly and very helpful. There is some noise from the highway which runs next to the park. There is a "wine shuttle" which takes you to various wineries. There is also a winery next door within walking distance. The town of Paso Robles is about 5 miles away with wonderful shops and restaurants. The park is a great place to stay in order to explore the surrounding areas. We camped here in a Motorhome.

For a non holiday weekend in mid March the park was at near capacity. The only open spots were a couple of the gravel pull through and a dozen short gravel back ins on top nearest to busy Hwy 46. The park is popular with groups and most of the pull through sites alternate direction so the entrances face each other. Our premium concrete site on the lower level was not very wide as the steps extended out on to the grass. On my walks around the park it looked like the hook ups for some of the pull through sites are on the wrong end if you are towing anything. Then there was a young tree on each end of the grass medium which prevented either rig from using their awning. Pretty perhaps but not good in the summer when it can get quite warm here and an awning is needed. The park is pet friendly and during our 5 nights there all of the campers observed the rules about picking up after them and on a leash. The office has puppy treats and welcomes a daily visit from the pets. As one camper told me when he walked back from the winery next door, his diesel cost him $75, the stay cost $100 and the wine was $250. We were here 2 ½ years ago and wish we could have stayed longer this time. We will be back. We camped here in a Motorhome.

As full-timers, we look for places to stay like this: large, aesthetically pleasing, level paved sites (not all are paved), with easy access, clean bathrooms and things to do in the vicinity. In addition, this resort has a nice pool, spa and workout room which help it to earn an 7 out of 10 rating. To achieve perfection, to us, it would need a golf course or tennis courts, a more complete main building, private showers with bathrooms, a legitimate book exchange library, guest activities, a restaurant and cement patios with lush landscaping. This is my second time staying here, and I will return. During both visits I arrived after hours during darkness and was welcomed by an employee who not only helped me choose a spot, but guided me to it by following his golf cart. Everyone was very friendly. The entire park is spotless and well manicured. We had a premium site on top of a hill with a panoramic view of the countryside. You can walk, a very short distance, to the Firestone Winery via a path from the park. Yes, RV spots are close together, but looking out the front all I saw was countryside. This is our second time staying at this park. Last year for New Years and this year for Christmas. My wife and I love this RV Park. Probably our favorite at this point. Everything here is well taken care of, clean, groomed, people are nice, free coffee in the store, registration is nice and easy, they take all the discounts, etc. Just everything we've come to expect at an RV park. SITES: They have a variety of sites from gravel back-ins to concrete back-ins with grills, and gravel pull-through and concrete pull-through. Sites are a little close to each other not leaving a ton of room for our Land Rover we pull our trailer with, at least in the small back-in site we had. There are little grass patches between the sites with picnic tables. Very nice well done. PARK: Again well groomed facility, grass looks nice, dirt and gravel sites and areas are well taken care of. They have two 2 dog parks that are small but REALLY nice. Bags and a garbage can are provided for clean up. There are nice bathrooms with showers, a "club house" where it looked like there was a "Camperee" having some sort of banquet there last year, lots of big rigs. People tend to dress nicer then normal. There is a walking path to the Firestone Winery next door. OVERALL: Location. Wow, this park is located in the heart of Paso Robles wine country. There are vineyards in every direction and there are plenty of tasting rooms within a short drive to visit. Easily do five before lunch. We love staying here and will continue to come here as long as we can. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

When we arrived the staff was very friendly and courteous, and directed us to a "crushed granite" site bordered by grass on one side and bushes on the other side. We had a nice view looking out over the vineyards. While the park is new and very clean most non concrete slab sites require one to exit onto the grass area. The grass was extremely wet and the sprinklers went on at least two times per night. There was very little room to put down a door mat and if it was touching the grass they made you move it so "you don't kill the grass". Needless to say (we have one dog) it was a constant battle to keep feet clean and not drag in all the wet dirt. The wet grass was more of a hazard than an amenity and anything left under the coach got wet when the sprinklers went on. The front office response was essentially "deal with it". Not a bad park, just bad site planning. For the money we expected a more user friendly site. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This RV park is new, and there are nice views. There is grass available for each site. You choose either a concrete site or DG (decomposed granite) site. Unfortunately, the management waters the grass excessively. We stayed 3 days and the weather was in the 70's. Not once did the grass have an opportunity to dry out. It was extremely wet. I suspect management does this deliberately in an attempt to have grass that is pleasant to look at but not functional or to be used. The DG is too fine a grade. The combination of the DG and the wet grass literally made the sight muddy and one of the dirtiest sites we have stayed at. We mentioned the excessively wet and muddy environment to the management but they did not seem concerned. Therefore, the $50 price is way too high and this RV park has lost our business. The grounds are always spotless and beautiful and the location of this park is so convenient to all the wineries and downtown shopping in Paso Robles. The staff there really is wonderful. This is by far the best RV park in this part of the country. About 1/2 the pads are concrete and the other 1/2 are tightly packed gravel. There are plans to make all the pads concrete. This should be a 10 rating. A terrific park extremely well maintained. A must when visiting the Paso Robles or Hearst Castle area. The only detraction would be that there are lots of rules regarding dogs but almost nobody follows them. We kept our dog on a leash when outside at all times and had many dogs running up to us loose. This is a relatively new RV park in Paso Robles. The sites were level and each site has picnic bench that sits on a grassy area that is shared between 4 campsites (no fire pits) - great for large groups camping together. We stayed in a standard site. The premium and deluxe sites offer a little more privacy and sit on concrete pads. They have a game room with a pool table and a ping pong table and the pool area is well kept. For those that have kids, there is a water park right across the street (The Ravine) that is walking distance from the RV park. Also, the Firestone winery is walking distance (pathway through the vineyard) for tastings as well as other wineries very close by. Also, relatively close to Pismo and Avila beach, Morrow bay and Heast Castle. The staff was friendly and helpful, although the store hours were limited (closed by 5pm). Security was there to escort us to our site when we arrived even after the office was closed. Only downfall is that the sprinklers come on during the evenings on certain nights so if you don't store all your belongings, they get WET! We will return again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I am estimating on the rate, I didn't note it down. This was by far the nicest place we've ever stayed. So clean, tidy, fresh looking, organized and spacious. Love the winery theme. It is right next door to Firestone Winery - you can walk there via a gate from the park to the vineyards. Also near Sylvestre Winery (but not walking distance). They have 3 clubhouses but we only viewed (1). Game room, laundry, and even meeting space room. Mention the RV park for discounts at the wineries. The pool is large and sparkling clean with lounges and shade. The restrooms /showers are almost beautiful - like in someone's home. The sites are gravel/grass, with nice plastic tables and grills. The staff is friendly and so welcoming. We met the nicest people here. Many with dogs. They have a nice fenced dog area. Many very large, expensive RVs parked here which adds to the element of class. It does get very windy though, you will have to watch your awning. They offer late check out in case you want to enjoy the pool a bit longer or hit the wineries and come back. Very classy park! It's built on multiple levels, all paved, including sites. Long, wide pull throughs, with grass and picnic tables providing excellent separation. Very handy to local wineries (a short stroll to the nearest) and easy in/out access to the park and to each level. Outstanding park in Paso Robles with many amenities and lot to do close by. The park has a great pool/spa area and exercise room at the upper clubhouse. The park actually has two clubhouse areas which makes it nice for holidays as there is usually something going on. This is a very nice clean park. We had a lower spot which backed to the office. While the upper spots had lovely views, I suspect they were noisier due to Hwy 46 traffic along the upper side. The pool area was a hit with the kids, and there was lots of flat ground for them to ride their bikes. The spots were very tight making it hard for some slideouts although there were very large rigs here. The grassy areas between spots was nice. What we really enjoyed was the proximity to wineries, a few within walking distance. The beach was about a 40 minute drive, and there were lots of restaurants nearby in Paso. We'd heard that the noise from Hwy 46 was bad here, but we didn't hear it at all. We really liked this RV park. It's clean, nicely landscaped, and has good space between sites (at least for the premium sites). The folks that run the place are very nice. Although they messed up our reservation, they totally made good on it by upgrading our spot for no cost and giving us two nights free for our next visit. Very good location, close to town. Seriously, if you don't like highway noise and extreme crowding, don't come here. The upper level sites are right next to the highway with trucks using jake brakes. The lower level is so crowded you can hear the neighbors' snoring. They charge extra for pets, the wifi is free, but if the "resort" is full, you will get kicked off the network frequently. We paid over $600 for 2 weeks and that's for the lowest-price sites. One night they ran the sprinklers and our steps got wet and froze. If I'd taken the dogs out before daylight, I might not have noticed that ice, could have had a bad fall. Yes, it's new and all neat and clean but that doesn't make up for the crowding. We won't stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We camped here for an RV Rally. The park is very new so everything about it is clean and fresh looking. There is a small swimming pool, jacuzzi, two dog runs, and game room. There are also club houses to rent for rallies. We had site 124 which was a pullthrough site in the "upper" level. In walking through the lower level sites, some of the sites were small and crowded. Some of the lower level sites are back-to-back. some sites looked as if you might have trouble extending your awning or slides. Be specific with your site selection if possible. The park borders Hwy 46 and the noise from the highway is unbearable. This noise is a very big drawback. Bring earplugs in order to sleep at night. Trucks barrel down 24 hours a day and use their jake/exhaust brakes. Gets on your nerves. In addition, the prices are steep without the rally discount. I might stay here again. It will be interesting to see how the park holds up in a couple of years. The choice of trees planted so close to each site could pose a problem as these trees mature. There are two fenced dog areas--one on the bottom level and one at the upper level. The sites were level, WiFi was good, and overall we enjoyed our stay. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a park that has become too upscale in their own minds. We have stayed here before as they were building and now that they have finished, they have lost touch with their customers. They have the temerity to charge 1.00 per night for pets, and yet will allow children under 5 stay for free. I tried to explain that my dog was under 5 and they did not have to build a playground for him, in a kidding tone of voice, and got a really nasty response from the check in girls. Up to this point they had been very nice. Then I ran into the man in the cart who runs around being very brusque with the customers. Wow, I was shocked! I went to the dog run and again wondered why they had the nerve to charge us extra. Will NOT stay here again. There are many places in this delightful area that do not have this attitude. Good park. Good location to visit wineries and sites. We booked a premier spot and were told we were not on the bluff, but we had a good view from where we booked, however, that was not the case, we had no view, although it was a nice spot. Not much shade in this park. Some highway noise. Small pool, but very clean facility. We would go back, however, for a view, would locate on the bluff. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park is expensive for what you get. The Woodalls Website does have an online coupon if you stay two days get third night free when staying Mon - Thurs. I asked about this coupon when making reservations for Wednesday - Friday night. Staff person who took my reservation advised that I would just pay for one weekday and one weekend night and get one night free. She also advised I could get the 10% Good Sams discount. When I arrived, the lady would not honor the coupon. It felt like a bait & switch game. They did give us the Good Sams discount but gave us a standard site, which is very tight. Sprinkler system and highway noise is annoying. Recommend not staying here on the weekend, because it is busy and sites are tight. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This was a very clean newer park. The office staff was very friendly and helpful. All of the buildings, pool, grounds etc are clean and new, probably no more than a year or so old. There are dog areas to walk your four legged friends, but they are not very big so there is no place for medium size dogs to get up a good run. When they are more to capacity, such as during the Mid-state fair, they will do their best to get you into a site, but we were too big for our site so it was hard to get everything parked. Since we were traveling with another family, we liked the fact that we could face our units to one-another. It was pretty pricy for our tastes. Because of the price, we probably would not stay there again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a park in the middle of wine country but it is way too cramped and overpriced. We were less than two feet from the coach behind us and too close to the adjacent coach to deploy our awning. On the plus side the desk people were friendly and the resort was quiet in the evening. WiFi and cable was included but $67 before discount, that's way too much for a dirt parking spot. The park is very tight for big rigs. Pull through sites alternate, so you have no privacy. Your door opens to the neighbor's door. Trees in the wrong places and shrubs in the way. Watch out for the street light pole in the middle of the street at the entrance. Some sites are just hard dirt. The park is fairly new with a nice work-out room, pool, hot tub and clubhouse. If you are in the right spot, the your stay will be fine. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Very nice park. Clean, clean, clean. The staff was extremely friendly and even stayed after hours to help us with local sights. Right next to Firestone winery and a close drive to Hearst Castle. Very safe, family friendly park. Would definitely stay here again. The town is nearby and quaint. This was a real treat. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Beautiful park with all amenities and friendly staff. If parking on the back two rows, the noise from highway 46 at times can be bothersome. I believe my site was one of the few that didn't have any grass and I couldn't open my awning at all because of newly planted trees being too close. My site was hard packed gravel. This is a clean park with nice large sites. There is grass at nearly every site and means you are stepping out onto grass, so be sure and have a mat to wipe your feet. There are picnic tables and you can rent fire pits. Some of the sites have large barbeques. We have stayed here numerous times and will do so again. The pool area is very nice with a large pool, by RV park standards. We try to make sure we hand-pick our site so that we are not back-to-back with another RV. We have a long travel trailer which was backed into a site with a diesel pusher behind us on a prior visit. We learned very quickly that we prefer to not be looking at the back end of a coach and that sucking diesel fumes in our living area while they worked on something in their coach was very unpleasant. Since then, we stay in sites that are on the perimeter of the park with no other Rvs behind us. This is a great location for visiting the wineries in North San Luis Obispo County. Here, you are only 30 minutes from Morro Bay and very convenient for traveling to Hearst's Castle and elephant seals. The people who work here were very nice, polite and responsive to our needs. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Wine Country is a great resort. We had a great time and really enjoyed the peace and quiet. We stayed in site #12, and although it is at the entry we had little noise and it didn't bother us at all. Sparkling clean restrooms!! Great customer service by the hosts, owner on site, and will go out of their way to make you happy! Sites are generous. Give this place a few more years and shade will be abundant on all sites. We camped here in a Motorhome.

A very high-class property with upscale clubhouses and pool/spa. Nice off-leash pet areas. Very friendly and service-oriented staff. Only drawbacks are the basics: Wi-Fi was HORRIBLE. Could only get it while parked right outside the clubhouse, and even then, it was up and down a lot. Cable TV was also pretty stingy (only 20 channels). Price seemed a bit steep considering that, otherwise I would have rated the park a 10. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Very nice park with a very friendly staff. This park has all you can ask for and the only reason I didn't go a 10 is the deluxe sites we stayed here are a little close together and I doubt both tenants could extend their awnings at the same time where the doors face each other. Other than that it's great and close to the coast and other sights to see. We are staying here a week. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Well we finally did it: rated a RV park a 10! This is the first in about 20 ratings. This is a class park with everything top notch. Pool, hot tub, laundry, club rooms, bathrooms. You name it, it was super. Very helpful staff and the owner was on site and available to the customers. I did see a few rigs with shims under the tires, but ours was level. Great water pressure and electric. Free instant phone at each site as part of the package. This is what a real RV Resort is all about. Thanks for a great experience. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is what RV resorts should all be like. The place is clean and very well kept. Premium sites are concrete and very level. they are a good size extremely easy to get into. I would have only one very small complaint and that is they run the sprinklers at the sites every night to keep the grass green. My grassy area was fairly soggy most of the time but that could be over looked for beauty of the park. I will return here often. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Rating this campground a 1 got your attention. We made prior reservations and were charged the "fair" rate. I was unaware that this was more than the normal rate and didn't question it and am too busy in my daily life to call and request a refund. What I did complain about was the noise: our site (and all site numbers above 81) are right next to and inclined HWY 46 where trucks run all night long. We used this campground as a stop to get some sleep before moving on the next morning but didn't get a wink due to the noise. We will NOT stay here again due to the noise and the outrageous rates. I would rate the rest of the park (sites 75 and lower) a 9. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Other than being a little warm in July, Wine Country RV is a terrific place to stay. The park is ultra clean with very nice sites and is right in the middle of central California wine country. Wine Country's staff was very pleasant to deal with and as a result, we will be staying with them during Thanksgiving. To cure the heat situation, a water slide park is being constructed next door and looks like it should open during Summer 2007. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We were only planning on staying at this resort for two nights, but decided to stay an additional 4 nights and use it as our base camp. Facility is very clean and well maintained. Staff is very friendly and professional. Park offered a 4th of July dinner free to their guests. The only negative is they ran out of tri tip sandwiches and we were served hot dogs. Great place to stay over the 4th because the City puts on a great fireworks show right across the street in the park, which you can see perfectly from the resort. Resort also went all out and hired a great DJ. Holiday was very festive. Great pool area and rec room. Several doggie areas and resort provides doodie bags. Grassy areas are watered every night, so you should not leave anything out because it will get wet. VERY hot in July compared to the coast 20+ degree change in temp, but the evenings are pleasant and there is a nice breeze. We took several day trips to Morro Bay, Monterey, Pismo Beach and Lake Lopez. New water park being constructed right across the street. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Looks to be a relatively new park. Staff very friendly and helpful. Free wifi was solid and almost always very fast. Didn't look to be any permanent residents. Most sites paved, the rest gravel. Everything clean and well-maintained. Water park under construction across the street. A little bit of noise from the airport a mile or two up the road, and from the construction across the street. Excellent showers and restrooms (didn't use, but we looked). We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for 3 weeks and loved it. Nicely layed out, well maintained. Very easy access to Route 101 and Route 46. Lots to do in a small town. If you like wine it's Disney Land for adults. Over 100 wineries closeby. Hearst Castle 40 minutes away, Big Sur just a bit further. We stayed here in our 45' Motorcoach. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We had an excellent stay at Wine Country RV. We had a space on the "upper" section. These spots give you a great view of the surrounding area. The staff was friendly and courteous. The only reason I'm not giving this park a "10" is because the Wi-Fi doesn't work real well if you're far from the clubhouse. But it's free, so I guess you get what you pay for. The grounds are beautiful, and will be more so as the landscape grows up. The sites are spacious, the picnic tables sturdy, and it's relatively quiet. The second tier has a view, but backs up to state Hwy. 46. A premium site gets you a cement pad instead of packed sand. As for location, you couldn't ask for better. Will definitely return when we're in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Would have given a 10, but spaces are a bit small in that I had to share a table with my neighbor but not so small that I couldn't extend awning or slides. Traffic on Highway 46 can be very noisy. This park just keeps getting better and better. It is one of our favorites. Beautiful level sites, easy hookups and a staff of very helpful delightful people. The owner is hands on. Our group always looks forward to this outing. We've already set it up for next year. They have just expanded to a mesa overlooking the existing part of the park. It is just as awesome as the lower part. We we will be back! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

A very new family owned park on the north side of Paso Robles. We took ownership of our new motorhome there and enjoyed our stay very much. It's new so everything was clean, but the landscape is small, so you'll need your awning! Some spaces have BBQ's and some have picnic tables. Close to wineries, mid-state fair, shopping. But, not within walking distance. They also have propane available. We camped here in a Motorhome.
