This is not the nicest, cleanest campground, but we enjoyed ourselves. We stayed in the lower part. One of the nice amenities, is the free shuttle that runs hourly into Estes Park. We saw elk in a yard close to the park and a small coyote running through the park. Good location and we would stay again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We were disappointed in this park as it is basically just a giant dirt parking lot. The sites are terraced and fairly level and nicely spaced apart. The showers are ok, the laundry is good, cable TV was excellent, and WiFi ok. The park is close to everything. There are no trees in most spaces and the grass is ugly. But the park was full most nights, so reservations are recommended. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Nice and close to RMNP. Drove passed the KOA on the way in and it wasn't nearly as spread out as here. Sites are rocky and somewhat on a slope, but not that bad. The roads could be nicer and the internet was sketchy at best. I would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here over a busy summer weekend since we couldn't get into RMNP, and the other places in town are too crowded & expensive. The rate for just W&E is $25, which seemed fair until they added the $7 entry fee for this county park, which is a daily fee, yikes. So $32 was too much, especially when our neighbors were excessively rowdy, a family with a tent trailer, 2 tents full of kids, 3 vehicles, and a 4 hour campfire, right under our window. The cable TV has been disconnected, there is no antenna reception, and Verizon cell is terrible. The park Wi-Fi was very weak. So many people used the showers and RR , they were never clean. Don't stay on a weekend ! We camped here in a Motorhome.

This used to be Mary's Lake Campground which we have stayed at often. Not much to it but it was nice to watch the deer and elk at night walk through between the campsites. Added to the cost is you have to buy a Larimer County Parks car tag which I believe is $20. I got it a little cheaper due to a handicap. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Nice park less than 5 minutes from Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park. I gave lower rating due to the high price. Very tight gravel spaces but it's what you'd expect in a resort town. Good Wi-Fi even at back of park. Park is terraced on hillside and most spaces have deck area with picnic table on the terrace. If you have a larger trailer, 5th wheel, or motorhome, call first to see if they can shoehorn you in. Narrow roads and sharp corners to negotiate here. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This a small, terraced park on the eastern edge of Estes Park. The facilities (FHU, cable, and WIFI) are good but the sites and the park, in general, are probably too tight for many larger RVs. Others may have a problem walking up and down the terraces. There are a couple eateries within 1/2 mile to the west, but the center of "touristy" Estes Park is about 2 miles. There are mountain views to the south and west. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for two weeks right on the river. Had a beautiful view with deer, bear and elk coming right up to your RV. The hosts were incredibly nice and accommodating. The entrance is a little tricky in that you must go over a pretty rough "curb" pulling into the park. It will shake everything in your coach, so take it slow. Its a fairly steep hill down to the river sites, so if you need to unhook a toad, do it either by the office or at the bottom of the hill. WiFi worked well even though we were as far away from the office as we could be and the cable TV was very good. Site was a little tricky backing into, but not impossible. We camped here in a Motorhome.

A good RV park. The electrical service was good. The water service was a little wobbly and a just a little low on pressure, but adequate. The sewer service was functional. Our trailer is less than 25 feet, so we got a spot for $28 per day. For Estes Park, that is very reasonable. The sites are kind of tight, but there were some big rigs there. The staff were helpful, and very friendly. I'm sure you could find a more up-scale park to stay in, but I doubt you could find a better value. We spend most of our time in the National Park hiking, so all we need is a comfortable place to park the trailer. We found it at Manor. Would definitely stay there again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This park is on a slippery slope to extinction. If you manage to get your big rig through the small entrance, you will surely shake your fillings out as you past through it. It wasn't like that last year, but has washed out. The wi-fi is absolutely horrible. Last year, we would get around it by hooking onto the signal from another nearby campground, but this campground has caught on and now requires a security code. When we got here, the grass on our site was 12 inches high. When we left, two weeks later, it had not been mowed. It appears that the park may have been sold or changed management since many of the permanent models have been put up for sale. Overall, a bad, bad park, that continues to go downhill rapidly. Stay away. We will never stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We have stayed at this campground many times. Always very clean and well kept. People are helful and friendly. Showers and bathrooms maintained very well and very clean. My only complaint is that the sites are all dirt and that can be very dirty with young children but that is part of camping. This campground is surrounded by Rocky Mountain National Park so that is a big plus. Lots of wildlife in and near your campsite. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

Please note that I'm not recalling the nightly rate (didn't get a receipt from my Internet booking). First, the positives: Fabulous location! The tiered sites up the mountain allow for a lot of privacy. We shared a "tier" with 2 other motorhomes; would've been nice to know those folks, as we were kind of close. But everyone else was far away. Great amenities within walking distance, once you hook up your rig. Nice coffee shop with Wi-Fi (Estes Perk). Negatives: Initially, I thought it was positive that there was a private toilet/shower combination room. After I showered and dressed in the morning and opened the door to find an almost angry mob waiting, I realized the drawback. There were only 4 unisex toilet/shower rooms for all those campers at one level. (There was another set somewhere.) Not very efficient for processing the toilet users from the showerier. I felt sorry for the parents of young children.... Overall, we were happy to stay there for one night. Beautiful location. But we would not return for an extended stay. The whole shower/toilet shortage would get very old. Also, they are building a B&B facility--lots of construction noise starting pretty early. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The stream front sites are very small and narrow. We were unable to get into the first site assigned to us because this campground has very narrow roads in and out. The second site took over an hour to get into with the help of the on site manager. The setting is wonderful next to the stream. This campground is located very close to the east entrance to RMNP. I would not stay here again unless I camped in a 20 foot or smaller trailer. The shower and laundry facilities were very clean. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Made a reservation in November, 2005 for 2 nights in June, 2006 on the river. The reason I chose this campground was that they offer sites directly on the riverbank. I had numerous e-mails with the reservation staff in November, 2005 and April, 2006 informing them of the size of my rig (29.8 foot 5r pulled by 22 foot F350) and was told "no problem" with the site. This campground is the size of a postage stamp. I'm guessing it rests on 4 or 5 acres. The sites are only about 10 feet wide. 99% of the sites are seasonal sites and there are only 2 or 3 sites they rent out on a nightly basis. I did not know this when I originally booked. The site we reserved, #9 (on the river) was a back-in site. Not only is this campground a nightmare to get into, there was no way our rig was getting into site #9 on the river. The seasonal campers that were surrounding site #9 took up any available space and the very nice managers tried to convince my husband and I that they could talk us through backing the rig into the site. After 15 minutes of completely jacknifing our rig, we had had enough. The only other site available was in the middle of the small campground, away from the river and surrounded by other campers. The only "view" was the sky and our neighbors. I told my husband I could have this view in my driveway in Wisconsin. I was suspicious of this campground to begin with as I found very little, if any, information on it. The pictures on the website were not helpful and there were no other reviews that I could find anywhere on the internet, hence, I'm warning all other possible campers with this review. The management was nice enough, however, their refund policy only gave us 1 night refund. Luckily we were able to get into Elk Meadow RV Park across the street where we enjoyed fantastic views of the Rocky Mountains from our campsite. Had I had more than 2 nights in Estes Park, I would have taken more time to complain about a full refund. I was just glad to get to be able to find an open site at another campground during the busy summer camping season. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a nice campground in the national park. The nightly fee is for a Senior. As previous reviews mention, the pine beetle has really taken its toll on the forest. Lost of brown trees. Our biggest problem was that we made reservations 3 months in advance for a 30' fifth wheel and truck. The site we got was hardly big enough for the trailer, much less the truck. The space was about 30' wide and had logs on either side and the back. We had to put the trailer in kitty-corner and our truck was left sticking out in the street. About the third night a ranger came and asked us to get our truck further off the road. We asked him where he wanted us to put it and after he assessed the situation, he said if we could move it just a couple of inches, that would be okay. I really don't understand that they would give this site to a rig with the dimensions we had put in our reservation. There were many other campsites with tents in them that had much larger parking areas. With this in mind, I think ReserveAmerica has no clue as to what they are giving you and someone needs to do a better job in making the reservations and giving you the proper accommodations. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

The park itself was nice. Very level sites, acceptable space between campers compared to other places we have stayed, Wi-Fi worked well. Customer service was non-existent. We had problems finding the place and nobody EVER answers the phone. My husband went to get fishing permits for their private lake and the lady in the office was beyond rude. I will consider other places next visit. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Spruce Lake RV Park is a good news bad news story. The goods news is it is conveniently located to the Rocky Mountain National Park. The bad news is it is an old facility and sometimes over-crowded. The interior roads are not paved and most of the sites have little or no grass. Multiple cars are allowed at the sites, barking dogs can be a problem and trash dumpsters are often over-filled and located in the middle of the park in plain site, the smell can be offensive. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I would say that the best thing about this site was that it was fun for our daughter. Lots of events geared for kids. However, between the road noise, dirty bathrooms and high fees, I would never go back to this site. There are much better ones in the area. If you choose to stay here, best bet is to get a site higher up on the mountain. If you get a site by the main road, the road noise will keep you up all night as it doesn't stop. Sites were gravel and not very level. It's too bad because this place could have a lot of potential. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
