Well treed. Steep grades in some locations. Great dump station. Close to road and highway. Road noise is present but not disturbing. Friendly and helpful campground hosts. Coin operated showers: 25 cents for 5 minutes. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Campground personnel were directing RV's in the wrong direction, so several RV's had to back up long distances to properly park. Sites are hard to get into and not level. Not advised for larger rigs. Advertised as "full hookups" but no dump provided at sites, just a dump site for entire camp. No convenient pet area and no waste bags provided even though there was a dispenser marked "pet waste bags." We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is America's oldest RV Park-my husband's grandparents camped here when he was a little boy! It is rustic and beautiful, with hiking trials, wildlife and a brand new shower house. The views from Chief Hosa Lodge, just across the road, were outstanding, and our neighbors saw a bear nearby. Do not expect perfect sites, though we had a level, large site for our 30' fifth wheel. The views are great, as are the staff, and you are close to Denver without the heat and hassle. Other reviews must have expected a KOA type place-this is rustic, with good hookups and wifi, but little tv reception and no sewer, though they have a dump station and even loaner porta-totes to use. We loved it here, camped for a week plus and will return. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

It is very rustic. It's more of a tent place. We were charged extra for two of our kids. It was very wooded and difficult to move our rig around. Our friends that were with us in a tent, had a much easier time here and were not charged extra for their two kids. We would come back for an adult trip if back-packing with tents. Let’s start out with the good. The have fast, free internet. OK, now to the bad. First, the campground is very close to the interstate. Upon arriving, we were greeted quite rudely by the lady running the front shack (i.e. office). After paying extra for kids and pets (a first!), we were allowed to proceed to our site. What a mess of a campground. Apparently, the person designing the campsite layout and the other person designing the utilities didn’t meet before construction began. I kid you not, our dining room window was not more than 3 feet from the king-pin of the fifth-wheel parked next to us. What a great view! Luckily, the voltage eventually came up to above 108V so that we could switch the fridge back over to electric with the A/C running. No way could we run the electric water heater. Our utility pole was right in front of the neighbor’s door. Depending on the site you get, you may need an extra sewage hose and extra electric cord. Our neighbor’s sewage was in the same place as ours. Remember, their kingpin is at our dining room window. Talk about a long sewage run. The sites are not very level and obviously quite narrow (our slideout came within about 12 inches of our neighbor’s trailer!). In fact, I had to use 4WD to back up into our site. The grass was literally 4 feet tall. I guess we should have known things would not work out when we had to sign a form stating that we had read and understood the rules, which was a first for us. Apparently, this park is operated by the city. If you check out my previous reviews, you will see that I typically don’t give such a poor rating. However, this park deserves it… what a disappointment! We will never stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

I'm told this is the oldest motorized campground in the US and the campsites reflect this. With lots help from the friendly work-camper hosts we were backed into a rare site in this tree covered mountain top campground with a open view to southern sky and the satellites we need for Internet and TV. If you're a big rig make sure you call ahead and reserve the site that fit your needs. We choose the South sky but gave up 50 AMP and sewer. Some have 50 Amp and a few have sewer but none have it all. The restrooms are brand new and the cleanest I've seen. We'll stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Chief Hosa is an okay campground, for what it is. This is mountain camping. There is a dump station. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They helped us back into our small site. Our site was not level at all and a little cramped, but worked for our overnight stay. We would not advise anyone with a large RV to stay here. Our neighbors were within arms reach. If you want an outdoorsy setting, Chief Hosa has it. Also, it is not in Denver, but run by Denver Parks. It is probably 20 miles west off I-70. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Nicely wooded campground in the foothills about 30 minutes west of Denver. Although the address is officially Golden, the campground is very close to El Rancho-Evergreen (Walmart/Home Depot) and Genesee. Run by City of Denver and camphosts are experienced full-timers and very helpful. The campground is at 7,700' so temperatures are generally 8-10 degrees cooler than Denver. Very clean however some sites are not very level and highway noise from I-70 during rush hour can be heard. Access road to dump site is tight for larger rigs. $26/day, $156/week with water/electric, $1/day per pet. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed 1 night while traveling. The campground is easy off/on the highway. Very scenic. The only drawback is quite a few site are not level and very small. For 1 night it was fine. We may stay again only when traveling. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed two weeks and really enjoyed this park. There are only a few (four I believe) full hook up spots - ask if you want one. They charge a little more but worth it if available. We have a bigger rig and trying to manage the winding steep roads around to the dump station were a little harrowing. They also offer blue boys for use. It's beautiful and shady but it is isolated. You can't walk anywhere and we didn't even find any trails within walking distance. Just dirt roads winding up the mountain. Bears were spotted while we were there. During the week it is quiet, but like most city or state type parks gets very noisy on the weekends. One weekend they had a religious army of some sort or the other preaching late with a megaphone (until 9 when it is quiet time). Across the road is a nice inclined meadow with a walking path mowed in a circle - it was a good place to walk the dog. The showers are very clean - but they are coin operated. I found .50 usually was enough for an enjoyable hot shower. There are no laundry facilities. There is no WI-FI and my Verizon broadband phone and internet access was very spotty and weak. The on site managers were all nice and helpful. And a nice bonus for birdwatchers are all the hummingbirds that are attracted to the feeders they keep outside the little office. I didn't see any pull-thru spots, but they might have had a few. Overall this was a nice quiet area to stay and we enjoyed it. We'll stay there again when traveling through although probably not as long simply due to lack of things to do without a car. Just make sure to bring lots of books and catch up on your reading! Sites were very close together and difficult to get into. The steep hills are gravel covered and difficult to maneuver. The sites are shaded and it is a good safe place to camp close to for visiting Denver. There is not much to do at the campground that we saw. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Rumors are this campground is closed but it was open for 2006. Lots of shade. Bathrooms are VERY clean but be aware that the showers are pay showers. Have some quarters with you. If you don't need a resort, this is a nice place to stay in the Denver/Georgetown area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

In June 2003, a new shower/laundry building was under construction. Showers were made available at the Chief Hosa Lodge, a short walk away. Two sewer dumps were available, one at the main camp, another in the camp annex on the other side of I-70 (both somewhat difficult to reach at the time of park remodeling). Park is approx. thirty minutes west of Denver, at the "Chief Hosa" exit off I-70, following a long climb. Great for taking walks, offering panoramic views of the rockies. Staff was friendly and helpful. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Very nice park. Getting a spot here is not handy but, it worked out. Friendly staff. Clean showers with plenty of hot water. We ended up with spot #1, right next to dumpster. Luckily the truck showed up at 0845 not 0700. Easy walk distance to a nice downtown area (and Coors tours). Bike trails nearby but was too crowded on Saturday to actually ride on it, better once away but very steep there too. No handy groceries. Spots very level. Awesome city playground just outside campground. Our spot had electric only which for just 2 nights was fine since there was a dump site on the way out We camped here in a Motorhome.

Awesome location in a great town. Nice river walk adjacent to the park that you can follow all the way downtown. Great shops and restaurants in town and a neat parks along the river. The RV park is owned by the city, seems well-maintained, and staffed by very nice folks. Only downside is that many spaces were extremely small and difficult to maneuver into. Had to park our car up near the office as there was no room for it at the site. But, the rates are reasonable, so we'll probably stay here again because it's so convenient. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Very nice park next to the Whitewater park for kayak and canoe users. Nice walk and very close to town. In the middle of a park and recreation area. Nice people, quiet, and safe. We stayed longer than expected because it was so pleasant. Only take reservations the morning you want to stay, but you can stay up to 14 days (summer) if you want. Laundry machines were very good. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We were traveling on I-70 and due to the holiday weekend we couldn't find a site close to the Interstate so we opted for this park as it is approximately 6 miles off I-70. What a pleasant surprise. It is located on a big stream and is within walking distance of Golden's business district. It's small but very well kept. No pull through sites but we managed to get our 42' 5th wheel in a spot on the creek. All utilities worked fine as did the WiFi. We liked it so much we stayed 2 extra nights. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We have stayed here three times and love the location by the river and walking distance to the town of Golden. There is a walking /bike trail that runs along the river and a town pool and park just around the corner. The spaces are tight and there is only one pull through. The park is small but we managed with a 40' motorhome, and it is only 20 minutes by car from downtown Denver. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Pass this by if you're just here for an overnight. It would be a good place to stay if you were staying for a few days to enjoy the city of Golden and the creekside campground. Almost all of the sites were taken by rigs that were obviously there long-term. We were outside the 14-day limit time of the year. That left three sites with electricity only for us to use. The site we were assigned was barely long enough for our rig and getting our towed vehicle on the site was a feat. Our main concern was that the electrical power was very low voltage for most of our stay. Internet was off and on. We were also concerned that one of the two fresh water spigots for filling tanks was in the same space as the dump station and the other was at the back of an unused camp site. Park staff was nice and we were offered a 50-to-30 amp adapter if we needed one. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I like the location of this park, within walking distance to historic downtown Golden, along a river, with a wide walking trail. The laundry room has 4 washers and 4 dryers, all worked well and reasonably priced. Nice restrooms and showers. What I don't like is the hassle to get in. They don't take reservations, we were told to call at 8:00am when they open, on the day of our planned arrival to see if they had room, which they don't know sometimes until check-out at 11:00am. There were no full hookups available, so we took an electric-only site. They will put you on a list if you want to move to a full hookup when available. We stayed 5 nights toward the end of September, and they were full every night. Their Wi-Fi and our aircard both worked excellent. The dump station is in the middle of the short entry/exit road, which is tight and not wide enough for 2 rigs. The sites in the park have little maneuvering room and are back-in only. Staff is friendly and helpful. They have 50amp only, but loaned us an adapter for our 30amp. The $27.86 rate reflects the Good Sam discount for an electric-only site. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

The previous reviews prepared us for the tight sites and the hassle to get in, since you have to call at 7am to get on the waiting list for that day. Didn't get a call back til 10am, that we were lucky. It's an interesting place. Loved the location next to Clear Creek, with all the tubers floating by, though there was a lot of foot traffic along the park. You can ride a bike from here, up the nearby mountain or east to Denver. Laundry room and showers were clean and efficient. Used VZ aircard and cell, TV antenna: all were strong. Biggest problem was the weak power, due to a heat wave and everyone using AC. Voltage was quite low. We paid $27.86 with our Good Sam discount for an electric only site. Good luck getting a FHU! Dump station is in the middle of the entrance/exit road. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The park worked well for us. We stayed with our kids and family friends, they were in a tent. Having the stream next to the park was nice for the children to play near, but a little nerve-racking at the same time as water levels were pretty high. There was a rec center nearby with a nice fitness center. It was a little too busy for our comfort and security. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This campground is GREAT!!! One of the better places to stay. Staff id overly friendly and helpful. Sites are well maintained. You are only a short walk to the city of Golden and if you are lucky you will get a site right along Clear Creek, a mountain stream that runs down one side of the campground. If you ever have the chance this IS the place to stay in Golden. I will definitely say here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Beautiful park along Clearwater Creek. Leveling may be a problem, some sites required MH to have both front wheels well off the ground. I couldn't get level in Site 6 (electric only), but it's the best site to see and hear the river. Ended up in Site D where WiFi was the best, TV reception was good and Verizon was very good. Light timer in the men's room was too quick, turning off the lights. Twice while taking a shower, the lights went off leaving me in total darkness. Opening and closing the shower curtain turned the lights back on. Staff is very friendly. I would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is the 3rd or 4th time we have stayed here. It is the only place in the Golden area to stay as far as I am concerned. All the good things everyone else has said I second. The sites are a little close back to back but side to side they are good. Lots to do and see in the area. The creek is very entertaining with the activities on it and the walk along the creek is great. Close to the school of mines. The staff is great. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Bingo. This the the park for staying in the Denver area. It is real cute. Clear creek runs right in front of it and has a walking trail that takes you into downtown Golden and links up with miles of other walk/bike trails. There is a kayak run right on the creek and public fishing, too. The spaces are a little close and tend to slope toward the creek. Hookups were solid. The wi-fi worked flawlessly. If the park had more amenities (pool, hot tub, rec hall, etc.) we would give it a 10. Otherwise it is perfect. Downtown Denver is about 20 minutes away via hwy 6. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a great city owned park, not to big but if you can get in try it. You need to call one day ahead of arrival to check on availability, no reservations. Mgr will hold you a spot if one is available. I wouldn't try if in a big rig. Our HM is 36 ft and it was tight, very tight. Had to park toad down the street. Sites are next to the Golden River walk and lots of locals use it for their daily exercise. Lots of dog walkers also. We loved our stay of four days. Golden is a fun town. We camped here in a Motorhome.

A nice place to stay in Golden. The spaces are tight, but the park is clean. The manager is very helpful. Call at 7 AM the day you want to get in to get on the waiting list. He will call you back if he has a spot available. There is excellent Wi-Fi. There were some mosquitoes at dusk. I would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

As other reviews said, this is a well kept park and the managers are very cordial. There are full hookups, however because of the unique "first-come-first-served" situation they are always full. The uniqueness is that there are no reservations, and if you just show up you most likely won't get a space. You have to telephone the morning of the day you intend to show up, and there is a waiting list in most cases. You will then most likely be put in an electric only spot and you can then be on a waiting list for full hook ups when they open up. So, you need to decide if it is worth it if you aren't planning on staying a while. They raised the limit from 14 days to 30 days, so the "best" spots on the creek are always taken and you can plan on waiting to "rotate" into them if you stay long enough and are lucky enough. In all the spots you should plan on being only feet from whomever is next to you and in about half of the spots your backing skills will be tested due to the closeness and layout. Don't agree with the reviews who say big rig accessible. This would be rated an 8, 9 or even a 10 were it not for the closeness and how cramped it is. It is close to downtown, close to activities, very well maintained, convenient and the hosts are very cordial, but notwithstanding these attributes this is a very, very cramped park. We stayed here for the winter, so the rates above are averaged out based on our monthly rate of $575.00. This rate included a flat electric fee of $25.00, which came in handy as outside propane tanks aren't allowed. Although a commercial propane station is just down the road, we didn't want to have to pull out once a week to refill. Some weeks, because of snow that wouldn't have been feasible anyway. The management is awesome here. They are friendly and accommodating. And we love the location! It's right on a beautiful creek and walking path that either takes you down to the library, recreation center and downtown Golden which is very charming and picturesque, or the other way, through a nice wooded open space park. Within walking distance is everything you could need including a little natural foods grocery store, park, ball field, tennis courts, microbrewery with an outdoor patio, dry cleaners, museums, the Foss Liquor Store (although unfortunately the drugstore closed), post office, restaurants, a new bookstore, coffee shops, banks, and more. The recreation center is state of the art with an indoor pool, running track and climbing wall. They charge $5.00 a visit (with longer term memberships available). The lots are gravel, but most are level, there are two pull thrus, and there are plenty of trees. I thought the way they intersperse a pink gravel around the picnic table areas adds color and keeps it from being drab or looking like a parking lot. There are grassy spots, picnic tables by the creek, flower plantings and things are kept tidy. The shower facilities are a little old - I never had a truly hot shower - but they are cleaned daily and I've been in much worse! If you use the laundry note that two machines are $1.25 and the other two are $1.50. The pricier machines actually do not work as well. It can get noisy here - several tenants had horribly loud motorcycles and liked to rev them up for fifteen minutes and then circle the park. There was also a lot of work in the area with heavy machinery this year (they cleared out the creek to make it more habitable to trout). The park is pet-friendly. There are no dog parks within walking distance but there are stations with doggie bags along the trail and garbage cans for disposing. The park doesn't charge extra for a second vehicle and the last few months the WIFI was free. The only other drawback about this park is they don't take reservations. I understand that the summer is much busier and noisier. All in all we were very happy to have discovered Clear Creek - we'll definitely be back next year. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Sites are a bit tight if you are over 40’, but the location and setting make it worthwhile. The park runs along a fast rushing stream that is quite popular with inner-tubing locals. It is also close enough to downtown to walk, an extra plus for those without available transportation. Well kept and clean, it is a park we will return to. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Clear Creek RV Park is a sweet little park ran by the city of Golden. It is a small park on the banks of Clear Creek, which is more of a small river than creek. If you want to check out Golden, CO this is a good place to stay. The old downtown area is within walking distance. The RV sites are mostly back-in, and you will need to sharpen your reverse turning skills as there are lots of obstacles. The park doesn't take reservations, but if you call around 7 AM you can get your name on a waiting list for that day. Overall, I enjoyed staying there. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice, well-maintained small city campground just blocks from downtown Golden. The staff was very friendly, and we enjoyed the scenic and short walk to downtown Golden. It's not the easiest campground in which to get a reservation, but it's well worth it if you're able. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Good Sam discount applies to rate. Very clean city owned park. River runs along side of park where people were putting in Kayaks and tubes and floating down stream. We had no WIFI signal from where we were at, I did not know they had wifi. Lots of trees, no satellite signal, but good local channels. 1st come park, no reservations accepted, but you can call early and put your name on a list. Right in town and close to everything. 14 day limit. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Located 2 blocks from downtown Golden, on Clear Creek. Quiet, clean and easy to reach. Minutes from Lookout Mtn, Coors, Red Rocks, etc. Good Sam is honored. Some sites have grass, some gravel, roads are paved and there are trees, picnic tables. Not what we expected ended up staying for 5 days instead of overnight. If you kayak, people drop them right in the creek, big park right down the street with playground, too. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. The showers and bathrooms are very clean, but sometimes I had a problem getting hot water while showering. I had to try 3 showers until I found a hot one. It is something about the knobs. They have one knob to adjust both the hot and cold water. I told the staff about it and was told that you definitely had to find the sweet spot. Turning it all the way to hot is often not as hot as backing it off a little on two of the showers. This should be fixed. The lounge and kitchen area are extremely nice and they also have a nice book and DVD lending area. The lounge has cable but the sites do not. I have a $12 HD antennae that I mount on my roof. It was pulling in about 30 channels. I only used it for football games and was never unable to find the game I was looking for. They also have a great laundry room. The pool is closed during the winter but they kept the hot tub open the whole time I was here. I would not really call the park a resort because there is really nothing to do there, but it is close to everywhere. I loved driving to downtown Golden and walking on the river walk. It runs along Clear creek which feeds the Coors plant which you can see during your walk. My Florida dog took his first swim in that creek so if you find a short black hair in your Coors, we apologize. Another fun thing about the park is the rabbits. There are coyotes in the hills behind the park, so the park is a refuge for a lot of rabbits. I was walking my dog and thinking about coyotes one night and all of a sudden, about 10 of them started howling from about 100 yards away. My fearless dog wanted to go check them out but we just sat and listened. It was really nice. I liked being in the foothills of the Rockies. I felt protected. Within 20 miles west, the temp drops drastically. I definitely recommend taking a day trip west. I went about 60 miles one day and saw some wonderful sights. I was there in October and November and the temps did get cold (-7 one night) and we had some beautiful snow. On snow days it would be overcast but the next day the sun would come out and it was wonderful. It was 20 degrees one day after a snow and I was comfortable in a t-shirt. The sun up there is amazing. Snow often melts during the day and then freezes on the park's roads at night, so black ice is a real problem at night when walking a dog. I bought a pair of $15 crampons at a sporting goods store which I would recommend to anyone who will be walking on the park's roads at night. If you do not get them, I almost guarantee that you will slip and fall. I must stress how nice and accommodating the staff are. They were a real joy to work with and I enjoyed talking with them. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This park is in a good location for visiting the area. Sites were adequate, but no cable TV available. Nearby bar was very loud and continued well into the night with loud music. Make sure you know exactly how many nights you want to stay because they will not refund if you prepay and then have to depart early. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stay here every time we pass through the Denver area - it is one of our favorites. It is very clean and well kept, with fairly level concrete pads. Good Wi-Fi, and they even have a telephone modem available for doing banking and such. Very friendly staff, and on-site newspapers. There is a biker bar across the street from the park's entrance, so if noise is not your cup of tea, ask for a quiet site. We did, and we got one on the back which was very quiet. Pull-through sites are side-by-side, and not very large. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Nicest RV park in the Denver area. Side by side hookups so you are close to your neighbor on one side. Some sites where the sewer connection is uphill. Some sites are level, others are not. I have never understood how you can pour a concrete pad and "not" make it level. Nice amenities with pool, hot tub, laundry, exercise room. Extra charge for 50 amp seemed unreasonable. Pads are narrow and some with rather severe drop offs which can damage your tires if you aren't careful pulling in. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Unfortunately, the Boulder area doesn't have much in the way of RV parks so it's really about picking the lesser of all evils. This is a very clean park neat to Golden but LOTS of rules = extra charges = expensive. The "dog walk" is pretty pathetic too but they do have some grass next to most sites. This is a very nice park with paved roads and level concrete pads. There are sites for the largest DPs. It is dog friendly with 2 dog walks plus a trail around their "mountain". We would stay there again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Park was immaculate. My husband and I felt comfortable there; campground was tucked away and felt safe/secure. Amenities were abundant- a pool, small exercise area/gym, jacuzzi. Negatives-Staff was professional but not particularly friendly. Sites were close together and a bit difficult to manuver into. Given the additional pet fee should have had a better area designated- area was large enough but not enclosed and sloped- felt like I was walking my dogs in a drainage ditch. Did have disposal bags and trash bin available. Given the cost cable TV should have been available. However, only other RV park in Golden is the city park- (drove by)- was nice but very open, downtown and security was questionable. Therefore would choose Dakota Ridge again. Loved Golden- great downtown area- immaculate with a nice walk along Clear Creek, many shops and restaurants; also enjoyed a great tour at the Coors plant. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Understand the rate for us. We have 4 kids and a lab/shepherd mix. Normal seasonal rates are in the 40's. Incredible sites. Most are concrete, level, and long enough to have my 40' trailer and Suburban on the pad! The kids absolutely loved the pool, and we got good use of the exercise room. (They have those new water resistance rowing and cycling machines and a universal that were all in great shape.) The park location is great. Easy access to Boulder, Idaho Springs and I-70, Golden, and Wheat Ridge. There is a mall about a mile away, and everything just seemed close, without being right next door. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We spent 11 nights at Dakota Ridge. Nothing not to love about this place. It really has everything you need and it's close to all kinds of shopping and restaurants. Staff if very friendly and accommodating. Each site has a cement slab, grass, a table and some sites have shade trees. Sadly our site was in full sun and it was the hottest August on record. The pool is nice, the laundry room is big and clean, there is a pool table, library and lounge area. The grounds are spotless. As mentioned in many other reviews the sites are close together, but we didn't find it to be a reason not to return. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

So far a very nice park. Lots of shade and quiet. Nice pool especially when kids aren't in it. The area is confusing and not a great deal of things to do close by. Lots of freeway on/off ramps. Very clean and well maintained. Would give it higher marks if it had cable and wasn't so expensive. Rate reflects $900 mo. fee. Would have stayed a couple of months if not for the rate. Stayed here one night passing through the area. Very nice park! Friendly staff, manicured sites, very clean and large restroom/shower area. A lot of amenities. Paved streets and some shade. Would definitely stay here again. Cons: weak Wi-Fi--tried to access more than once with no luck; and, a little pricey. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Very nice campground with lots of green grass, nice level pads, clean buildings and pool. The freeways converge in this area so be careful to read instructions on how to get to the campground, but the noise level is minimal once you get there. The pull-through sites are much nicer than the back-in spots around the edges - much bigger grassy area between units. I would certainly stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

RV'er beware! This is a very expensive place to stay and not worth the money. The only advantage they have at this park is they are 20 minutes from Downtown Denver. They know that so they take advantage of their location and charge more than they should for this park. If you have pets, specifically dogs, open your wallet because they will charge you $25.00 per dog. Since they charge so much per dog you would think that there would be an adequate dog park or dog run. They provide a drainage ditch for their dog walk. It is unclean and full of disease. My dogs became very ill along with other dogs that stayed in the park. We spoke to several people and they confirmed the same illness that our dogs came down with. We had to take our dogs to the vet 3 times resulting in a $600 bill just to get them well. Our dogs have never been this sick in their lives and they are 7 years old. We left the park, moved to another park and they have been healthy. We will never expose our dogs to this park again. If you care about your animals stay clear of this nasty park. Also do not show up mid month especially when their rates change. They will charge the higher amount regardless of what their staff member tells you about what you will be charged and their manager there has no people skills or customer service quality whatsoever, she is confrontational and condescending. How does someone like that have a job in this job market? They do not honor their rates stated in their web site either. All the parks that we have been to pro-rated their rates when their rates change based on when you arrived or leave. We have been across the country for a full year in 2011 and we feel this park and its management have ripped us off. In addition, the park has RV'ers facing each other as opposed to back to back. We are social people and make friends where ever we go, but not everyone is social or friendly. It can be awkward if you get a neighbor who is not friendly. There is no privacy. Again we feel this was a cheap way to develop the park. We will never stay at this park again. We would not recommend it. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Great place to stay for a few days. Friendly stuff. The pull through are long and wide with some of them are concrete base. They have a hot tub (Did not work when we were there. My 2nd stay and will come back again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Stayed here 2 nights while visiting Denver. Clean, well cared for park. Friendly staff. Great laundry facilities. Large showers. Some road noise. Had to pay $5 extra per night for over 2 people. Gets expensive for a family of 4. Store is a little lacking. Free coffee, tea and cocoa during office hours. Office hours are only 9am to 6pm. Nice, level sites. Unfortunately, our site faced the door of the site next to us and they were smokers so we didn't use our picnic table. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is an excellent park, and with it being completely full during our visit, we are not surprised. First the positives: The pool was SPOTLESS and clean as was the hot tub, and we enjoyed that the hot tub had exclusions for the "under 14" crowd. They have a very nice indoor kitchen area with full fireplace with TV and nice leather couches and chairs with gaming/food tables. In this same area, are a book exchange, games, nice pool table, and a very nice workout room. The check in was busy, but there were several very friendly helpers in golf carts to escort you to your spot. All sites are concrete and very level which we appreciate. They also have a really cool little nature trail that goes up their "mountain" (really a rocky outcropping), and it's lit up at night The negatives are that the PULL THROUGH sites are set up so that you park door to door, but there is two picnic tables are set up so you don't have to share. There seems plenty of room between the units. Another negative is that there is no cable TV, but we were able to receive 37 local channels from Denver. There is also a "biker bar" across the street, and it didn't seem too annoying, but they did play the outdoor speakers loud during the daytime. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Probably the best park with convenient access to Denver. This isn't a rural area so traffic and urban noise exists. The physical facilities and staff are excellent. Wi-Fi works but I would rate it very poor lacking bandwidth most of the time. We camped here in a Motorhome.

RV's park door-side to door-side! My neighbor's door was 12' across from my door. My opposite side windows were 4' from mine. NO PRIVACY! NO CABLE! 1 hour of rain left 3" puddle outside my door for 2 days! Dog walk on side of hill! East side sites are next to industrial park that starts making loud noise @ 6:00 AM. Advertising for park is miss-leading. $300 discounted (??!!) weekly rate is very high. We are full-timers and this is the most expensive park we've stayed in with very minimum amenities. We do not recommend this park! We camped here in a Motorhome.

Our 3rd summer camping here. We have spent at least 2 months every summer. One of the best in Colorado. Small roads but excellent setup. Convenient to Denver and suburbs or I-70/I-25. Courteous staff and very nice facilities. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice park in Golden, only 10 minutes away from Lakewood where we had some business. ATT very good, free wifi good. Lots of free extras like trash pick up and propane pick up from your site. Its a very convenient distance to Denver for anyone working in the area temporarily. We stayed for about a week, its a very pleasant environment, nice spaces and beautiful scenery. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We spent 5 days here while in Denver. When we arrived the staff was friendly and kind. We were guided to our site and the staff member helped us back into the site. We were placed on the edge near the dog walk area which provided easy access for taking the dogs out. The park is located near C-470 highway and Colfax Avenue, which are both busy. However, our site was perfectly situated to receive minimal noise. This location is actually pretty central to the Denver metro area. There is easy access to points north, west, east and south. The club house was updated and clean. The laundry was very clean as were the bathrooms. The hot tub was still open and made for a nice treat to relax. For the active types, this park is very close to Green Mountain, Matthew Winters Park and Apex Park. All of which offer some good hiking and mountain biking. Be advised however, that Apex Park can be very busy on the weekend. It is possible to ride your road bike from the park and be on the C-470 bike path in a couple miles. This is definitely one of the better parks we've stayed in and will stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

All roads in park are asphalt and sites are cement. Sites at top and bottom of hill are level. The others sites are not. You will see wheels off the ground and blocks under one side or the other everyplace. Site has 30/50 amps, water, sewer, and a table. 50 amps cost you $3 more per day. The hookups on a number of sites are in the wrong place and hard to hook up to. The pull thru sites are side by side hookups but hookups are in better placement. The back in sites are to short for most large motorhomes. You have tons of noise here. On west side you have the motorcycles bar and a sports bar with loud music to enjoy. On the east side you have a couple of business with tow motors and more noise. Now add the road noise from Colfax Ave. plus Hwy 470 and I-70 and it never stops. Wi-Fi was good most of the time but as you are working the system would stop working but in time will come back up. TV channels over the air are no problem. Verizon cell and air card worked well. Playground equipment for the kids. The office and pool were nice but we did not use anything here. One big problem was the small sites that office will try to pack you into. At the time we come in park had lots of sites that were nice large pull thru, but we were told only two sites were open take it or leave it. We were in park a number of days and the open sites never had an RV unit on them. I also saw a number of Class A's drive up to the so called open sites, get out to look at them, and then drove out of the park. Lost business. Poor way to run a park. Price was on Good Sam. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We have stayed here many times because it is a nice RV park close to Denver. I feel they are ready to make some capital improvements. The fitness room equipment is old. The sites are too close on one side. They could save water by redesigning the lawns at the sites plus make them more private. Asphalt pads are a bad idea with the temperatures Denver gets. Hey owners: let's see some changes and improvements! We camped here in a Motorhome.

Price reflects Good Sam discount with an extra charge for a dog and 50 amp. This campground is very busy! We had to move once during our two week stay to accommodate a site-specific reservation although the policy on the website states you are unable to choose your sites. There are few back-in sites for bigger rigs. The interior pull-through sites are "buddy" sites, which means you share a lawn with another camper, (i.e. two picnic tables, etc.). On the other side, you are very close to the next rig. The park is clean and well maintained. The park is loaded with rabbits, and nearly every evening we smelled skunk. Trash is picked up at your site between 8 and 10 a.m. The pool, restrooms, laundry and clubhouse were very nice. I was disappointed the fitness room had no treadmill. We found it pricey considering the tight sites and no cable. We would probably look for something less expensive next time, but would stay again if necessary. We camped here in a Motorhome.

My wife and I purchased our first travel trailer and immediately took it to this RV park for a one night shake down. The office staff helped make sure I got a space I could back into and the folks on both sides of my space helped as well. The site was well shaded and quiet. Overall a great experience. This is a good place to choose if you are going to be in Denver and don't want to be in the city but still close by. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We would give it a 10 if not for the road noise. They do not have cable and you probably will have to level your rig. They do have a fitness room. The campground is convenient to everything in and around Denver. Golden is a very nice town to visit. We would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Very clean park. Bathrooms are some of the cleanest we've seen anywhere. Sites are fairly level and only required minimal spacing on one side. Concrete pads with rock edges. We did notice some street noise. Across the street is also a bar that held a couple of outside parties with loud motorcycles. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Very clean and well maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful. We liked the location. It is central to shopping and easy freeway drive to other points of interest. We liked the grass area next to our coach, but be prepared for the watering that takes place each night. The dog run is adequate for small dogs and there is a trail leading out of the camp ground that can be used for larger dogs. The down side for this park is the sites are close together and we experienced numerous fellow campers walking through our site to get to the pool/shower area. Also the Wi-Fi was very slow and continuously dropped the Internet. In our opinion this is the best park in the area if you want to be close to the Denver area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Stayed here as closest park to family and our route out of town next morning. Very close sites even for our 30 ft Class C. It looked to be very challenging for big rigs/tows. However, staff available to help us back in and they could not have been more helpful. AAA+ facilities. We would stay here again if in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Park was clean and well kept. The shower and restrooms were very nice. Pool area and club house were all up to date. My issues were with the road noise (next to and up the street from a Harley dealership and a biker friendly bar) and the unlevelness of our site. It was a pull through but was still unlevel. We camped here over the Memorial day weekend and thought it was a nice park. Close to Red Rocks, Golden, and Morrison. Park is clean and well kept with a lot of larger and newer rigs. We camped in a 37' 5th wheel and even with a paved pad we couldn't quite get level. I could have used leveling blocks but that would have required hooking back up to the truck which I didn't want to do. There is no cable TV although we were able to get quite a few of the Denver channels as a lot of the TV transmission towers are right behind the park on Lookout mountain. The park is surprisingly quiet even though it is near the I-70 and E-470 highways. There is a biker bar across the street but we didn't hear the noise in the campground although you can hear the bikes come and go. There is a sports bar just up the road but we didn't stop there. Wi-Fi was worthless any time I tried it so I gave up. There was a small patch of grass between campers but it was more like a patch of weeds. Sure wouldn't take much to make this a nice area. No campfires were allowed although we did cook on our charcoal grill. There were a lot of families, kids and dogs in the park so it seemed busy outside, and with no campfires we just stayed in our RV evenings. Cost was a little high but the park seemed full so I guess it is working for them. Keep in mind it is a park at the edge of the Denver metro area if you decide to stay here, it is not a real camping experience. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice park. It gets bonus points from us for having paved roads and pads. Sites were plenty large to pull thru without unhooking, although they weren't real level. We had to use leveling blocks. Location is very convenient to Golden and Denver (Hwy 6 goes directly downtown in about 20 minutes). The facilities were spotless. Hookups were solid. The Wi-Fi was bandwidth dependent and tended to die in the evening when everybody was using it. The park sits against a rocky hillside that is illuminated at night and is strikingly beautiful. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Very nice paved sites. The park management has discontinued cable TV service so it is satellite or antenna service only (if satellite, be careful of trees). Streets and sites are all paved but very narrow making it a bit tight for big rigs. Management very cordial and helpful. All facilities are kept very neat and clean. This is one of the nicer parks in the greater Denver area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Nice facilities and RV sites. The owner is disputing with the cable company so we had over the air TV only. The hot tub was out of service for the winter. Staff is friendly and helpful. Nice office, game room, store/gift shop, LPG, and laundry was reasonably prices. We felt that it was overpriced in comparison to other parks. Even though we stayed a week we only received a 10% Good Sam discount. Most other parks give you a day free if you stay a week. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

There are not many choices of parks for big rigs in the Golden area. Dakota Ridge was nice, sites were "buddy" sites with front doors of the rigs facing, but we did not mind that. There is grass between sites, not as nice as the immaculate landscaping they advertise but there is grass. Our site was on a hill and a large section of the grass was dead and our picnic table had no flat area to sit so we could not use it. Our site was in a quiet area of the park and we were happy with the location. My problem with this park is they charge extra for everything, $3 per night for 50 amps, $2 for cable and $1 each for dogs. We paid for the 50 amps and the fee for each of our three dogs. There is nowhere to exercise or potty the dogs. They offered a small area on the side of a hill with some stone down as a "dog walk" and another strip of mostly dirt on the other side of the park. There are signs everywhere to keep off the grass or don't walk your dog here. So, it was very expensive for what you get. I doubt I would return there again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a very busy park. We had previously seen it several times, although this was the first time camping. Most of the sites were full, lots of people, kids, dogs etc. which is the way I think an RV park should be. The pool is nice, the people in the office were nice. However, the office closes at 5:00 P.M., a very early time. The roads through the park are narrow and some of the turns difficult with a 45" motorhome with trailer. They have several spots for dropping a trailer (extra charge) but reserve ahead. Because it had rained a lot before we got there, a lot of the sites were pretty wet; ours was right by the door (of course there!) Previous reviewers mention noise, and if your site is right near the entrance, I'm sure it is noisy. But it is in an urban area, so we expected noise. If we were to be in the area again, we probably would stay again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

What we like are the people who work in the office and the location. The biggest complaint we have is that this place is so expensive and they charge for so many things that other parks don't. Besides the nightly space rental, they charge a daily rate for an extra vehicle (even if one is paying a monthly rate for the space) which is our trailer parked in an overflow space. The daily rate is for 2 people. Any child over 4 is charged $5.00/day extra. With their monthly rate, we pay for electricity which we expect. But when we are on a daily rate, we pay $3.00/day for 50 amp services that we need, so we're still paying for electricity. We had to drive our motor home sans the trailer to FL for a month for family issues, but we would be returning to this park so of course we had to pay for the month we weren't here because if we didn't they would not let us pay just to leave our trailer here in an overflow parking space without a motor home in a space. We offered to let the park rent out our space so somebody else could pay the space rent for the month but they refused, which made no sense at all to us. If there was another park in this area, we would stay there. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Why would anyone be assigned a site with Colfax Avenue directly behind them? If you pass this way be warned. This is a busy, noisy street! The biker bar directly behind our RV site had music playing all night long and the people and partying in the parking lot could be heard with windows closed. The park was clean and staff nice, but they need to consider travelers trying to get a good night's rest before traveling in the morning. The charges were expensive for a sleepless night! We would not stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Very nice park. Road construction made it a little difficult to get to but not too bad. There is NO cable TV anymore. The Wifi was good. Sites are narrow but I had no problem getting in and out with my trailer behind my Morothome. Office hours of 9-5 are a little arrogant for an RV park. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a well-kept campground which would like to be an RV resort. Unfortunately its location is in Golden (high rent district) but its neighbors are low rent, 7-11, biker bar, etc. Easy to get to good shopping and restaurants. Very good and efficient welcome. Excellent rec room and exercise room. Rather noisy so could not sleep with windows open. Also sites are small. Rather high priced, but then it is Golden. We camped here in a Motorhome.

VERY nice park. The only drawback is the pricing. $600.00 per month in the off season and $900.00 during the summer. You won't get a break even if you are there for a year or more, which I was. Park is very clean and the the people take care of whatever you need. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is not what it is advertised to be. It is on a busy street with no view. That said, the staff was very friendly and we were escorted into our site. The restroom/showers were clean and air conditioned. The park was clean and well maintained. We were in site A1 which was a back in site (they charge more for a pull thru) which was next to the street. We enjoyed the live band from the biker bar across the street and especially enjoyed the noise of the loud pipes as the bikers roared off into the sunset (or night). The music did stop at a reasonable hour, but the traffic noise did not. If you want to pay $40.00 a night for a tight space in a clean park this is the place for you. We will not return to this park. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

The sites don't give you a lot of extra space, and we are experiencing moderate to heavy noise from the road over the fence. The welcome was friendly, though, including escort to our site; the pool and lounge area look very nice and they offer some free refreshments. Having just come from rural, alcohol-free (or nearly) Utah, we enjoyed having restaurants and shopping near here. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We have been traveling for 5 weeks and this is, by far, the worst experience we have had. As our satellite dish is not working, we wanted to make sure we had cable. Unfortunately, the cable at Dakota Ridge is ghosty and snowy. The ad in Trailer Life and/or Woodal's indicates a view of mountains and city lights. When, in fact, it is located in an industrial area with the sounds of the 70 freeway and no view whatsoever! The sites are extremely tight for big rigs and sloped so egregiously that even our levelers won't help so, of course, our shower will not drain. We had booked our stay here for a week thinking it would be a nice hub to experience Colorado. As it is absolutely nothing as described in their ad after 3 days we inquired as to a refund if we left early. To our dismay there are no refunds!!! Once they get you in here, you're out of luck. Please, do not be swayed by the ad touting views and big rig friendly - they're not. After all the years of traveling in RVs this is the first time I have been compelled to write a review. Hopefully, my experience can save other travelers. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Big clean RV park. Was told when booking we would have a pull thru, we ended up with a very small tight back-in. This place is advertised to have level concrete pads. We have a very uneven asphalt pad. Supposed to have cable, our site does not have a hook-up for cable. Free Wi-Fi for those that sit in a particular direction with the wind blowing the right direction. Will not stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We find this park a great option for a one or two night stay in Denver (Golden) when we are passing through. The facilities are good and clean. The sites are small and not shaded but as I said for a night or two we find it more than acceptable. If we wanted to stay in the Denver area longer we would probable find something a little farther out and up in the mountains. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Although I agree with the comments about the excessive charges and the noisy biker bar and factory, I found excellent positives about this campground that will keep bringing us back. No other campground we have ever stayed at have the following options and, to us, these are worth the extra charges: 1. You can reserve a specific campsite if you have been in one you like, or you if you found one that you would rather be in the next time. 2. If you pay for a specific number of days and leave earlier than you had planned, they will give you a credit of all days not used on your next visit. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Modern,clean and friendly but expensive. Base price does not include cable, pets, 50amps. Close to highways plus convenient to downtown Denver (Coors and Investco Field.) Would stay again because of the location. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park is pretty nice if you don't get parked in back by the boiler factory, or whatever it is they noisily do there. The people are nice. The thing that detracts is the nickel/dime aspect of extra $ for pets, cable, 50 amp, etc. The good outweighs the bad, though. All the hookups function well and the cable list is lengthy. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

The spaces are extremely narrow and many require blocking of front and rear wheels. The cable TV service is spotty. Do not pay for this service unless you know your particular site works. Children are supposed to be monitored, however, many parents/grandparents do not know what this means. Watch out for children traffic. Park is convenient to shopping and roads leading out of Denver to the mountains but is over priced due to a captive market. There are few RV parks in the Denver proper area. Management is helpful but you need to constantly check your reservations as there are many bookkeeping errors made. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The staff at Dakota Ridge make this park! I have never stayed at an RV park where they pick up your bagged garbage daily! Very well cared for and nice amenities. Every staff member I had contact with were polite and helpful. They also sell the best cinnamon rolls in the office daily. It is over priced though considering the location. There is a "biker" bar across the street that is very loud, and the motorcycles without mufflers are deafening. The neighborhood is also industrial. There were also additional costs that are not mentioned when making a reservation, cable, 50amp, daily per pet fee, and costly Wi-Fi. I would, however, stay there again because of the staff and cinnamon rolls. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a first rate urban park. The only reason we didn't rate it a "10" is that some of the sites are quite close together. That was not true in our case, however, because we had a pull-thru at the end of a row and had plenty of space on either side. The paved roads help keep the park quiet. The staff is extra friendly and efficient. Someone leads you to your site. Although we didn't use the pool or laundry, they appeared to be very clean. In fact, everything, including the landscaping, is very well maintained. There is a very nice lounge area with fireplace in the office building. We used our own Internet broadband card so cannot comment on the WiFi. We also didn't use the Cable TV. There was good local reception with our antenna. Although the park is located on a fairly busy highway during the day, it was pretty quiet at night. Relative to what we have paid at much less desirable parks, we felt the $38.00 nightly rate we paid to be reasonable. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

The amenities in this park are among the finest I have seen. The RV sites are the worst I have seen in 31 years of camping. The roads are too narrow, the sites are too narrow. You are slammed up against your neighbor with side by side hook-ups and then share your "front yard" with your other neighbor. He gets the front half, you get the back half. This place makes KOA (keep on adding) look like a piker! You pay extra for kids, pets, 50 amps, cable, wi-fi. The daily charge certainly isn't worth it when you have to pay all those other charges. We didn't have kids, pets or use cable but the 50 amp and wi-fi cost us additional. The back-in sites around the perimeter are better spaced but they are short and you can have your choice of backing up to a factory or a biker bar! This is about the "only game in town" so they charge what the market will bear. Personally, I'd camp in Colorado Springs and drive to Denver next time. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a great urban park with great amenities. The staff is friendly and helpful. The park is very clean and well maintained. We parked on cement with nice grass beside it. The pool and hot tub were appreciated. Some other posts complained about noise - I called ahead and they assured me I was parked near the middle of the park and we had no problem with noise. We did have to pay $4 a night for each grandchild that stayed with us. I feel sorry for parents who are having to pay an extra fee for children. It should be included in the rate. We will camp here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We have camped here a couple of times for multiple days and enjoyed our stay each time! The sites could be more level but were not, by far, the worst I have seen! The only big problem that I noticed was with the campers themselves not being courteous enough to park their extra vehicles in the overflow parking areas. The people camping next to us had to be told multiple times to move their car and truck so others could move in and out! The showers and restrooms were near perfect! We camped here in a Motorhome.

The facilities as far as restrooms and laundry, pool and rec are nice, beyond that this campground was the worst we have experienced in a month on the road. We were in a site along the back row that looked down on a factory back full of junk and they worked from 6am till 9 or 10 at night with a forklift beeping all day and loud steel dropping. The back door of our rv was a few inches from a steep hill and if you tripped you would roll down into the factory. The mtc. people brought over a wooden platform to put under our rear steps so no one would fall but it in itself was dangerous. Not even a fence to close off the rear of the park so we looked at oil drums, and piles of junk. We would never go back here again, we spent 3days as we visited friends in the area. They charged us the same rate for this substandard spot as the rigs up near the office that were in decent spots. The area is a little seedy as well and there is no security. Very disappointing, the only reason we give it a 2 is the bathrooms are nice although far from our site. 20M was the # so beware. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Beautiful park with paved interior roads and paved RV sites. Great pool, hot tub and laundry. Convenient location to attractions. The park was very expensive. Almost an insult. The counter staff was rude and unfriendly. The park had a high noise level due to being located on a busy street and also the rear of park was next to a irrigation pipe manufacturer who started their electric saws each morning at 6:30AM. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Clean park. No room to park truck at site. Very small and hard to hit sites. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We were not informed our view would be a factory out back. Grounds were well kept and clean. The exercise room had broken equipment. Wifi did not work at our site. We had to go to the office area to get signal. Not a bad site if you want to be near Denver. Not the most relaxing place to enjoy a great view and quiet. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

I give this place a 6 on a scale of 10. I'm being generous as I think this spot is way overpriced. We were here for an extended stay and did not get a lower rate. Centrally located and a pleasant staff. But maybe we'll look for another spot next time. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

When you check in be ready to legally sign away all of your rights and the rights of your entire family when on this property. It goes down hill from there.Semi's where idling next to our campsite at the steel factory next door (about 20 feet from our site). Then the factory was making noise until 8:30pm , then the biker bar kept us up until 1:30 A.M.. The bathrooms are clean. The security at the park is there to protect the park. Anyone can come and steal stuff, since there is no gate. The pool is secured by a 6 foot gate, security cameras and electric pool cover at night. This gives me the feeling that they have had problems, and the staff keeps repeating "This is a Metropolitan area" when asked about the noise level.This is the worst camping experience I have ever had. The cost was $50 for a family of 4. I will never stay here again and I will not recommend anyone ever stay here. The staff should disclose the problems at time of reservations, I you are still considering this park, ask the staff about the noise. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is one of the nicest parks in the Denver area and it is always full in high-season. We called 2 months ahead for our visit in June – good thing, there were absolutely no sites available; plan ahead for this one. The well-treed sites are separated by well-kept, very wide lawns. The streets are paved and most of the sites are now cement. They were previously asphalt and it seems that they’re being upgraded a bit at a time. The park provides an escort to the side and parking assist if needed. The park provides garbage pick-up at the site. Nice pool, office, laundry & shower – all very clean. All day coffee & hot chocolate in the office/meeting room. Friendly staff. Good voltage & high water pressure – be sure to use a regulator. Propane available on site & the office will accept mail for visitors. Good Sam discount available as well as an additional discount available from one of the three other sister parks: Spruce Lake, Elk Meadow, & Rocky Mountain RV. Now the bad news. The sites are back-to-back, most share a utility post. The entry doors of side-by-side units face each other and share the lawn expanse – each with its own picnic table. We stayed for a week and fortunately had quiet, responsible neighbors – not so in some cases, which I imagine can make for a very unpleasant stay. Expensive rate and they have ala carte add-ons: $3 a day for cable, $2 a day for cable, instant-on phone $2 a day, extra person $4, $1 for each dog a day and so forth. They restrict certain dog breeds (Rottweiler, Akita, Staffordshire Terriers, Pit Bull & Doberman). The older, asphalt sites have cracked off and crumbled corners, making leveling difficult. The pads are fairly narrow, making things a bit tight on the driver’s side of things. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

I've stayed here a few times and although pricey I'll likely use it every time I come to the area. Downtown Denver is a quick 10 miles east if you are going to a game or Elitch Gardens. The park is nice and clean, but the pads are narrow and some sites are unlevel. I guess those things aren't bad enough to make me look elsewhere. The staff is great, very friendly and helpful. I had an issue with my cable. I called the office, within minutes two workers showed up with a TV and tested my connection. Turns out my connector was bad. They were very helpful. Oh and they escort you to your site, which is very nice, after trying to read maps and finding sites at other places. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall this is a decent, albeit somewhat over-priced campground. You pay a premium for the proximity to Denver. Roads are narrow and sites are a bit cramped. Concrete pads are not level and are too narrow. If noise bothers you, then beware. The biker bar across the street is unbelievably loud. Traffic noise simmered down at night but was significant during the day. Sites on the east side of the park are more quiet, being further from the bar, but they also are closer to I-70. Restrooms are the best I have ever seen. WiFi is fine but very expensive. The park was clean and their mountain was small but fun to climb. Staff is friendly and helpful. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

A nice park built on a hill. The sites look level, but being on a hill, they slope downward and require several blocks under one side to level side to side. Roads are narrow, but lots of big rigs were there, so they manage to get around. Wifi is not free, cable costs $2 extra a night. My pull through in row K had a very narrow pad and my stairs opened up off the pad and required a large step down to the sloping grass. Staff was very friendly and they have free coffee and hot chocolate. I would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a very nice, well-run and well-located RV park. The staff is friendly and helpful. The restrooms/showers are very nice, clean and well-maintained. There is an area adjacent (to the south) and up a short, but steep, path where dogs can run freely. It is actually the covered-over site of the former county dump, but you'd never know that from any foul odor. The only drawback is that the WiFi isn't free, and if you have a site very far from the central antenna, you'd better invest in an amplified receiver. Coach Connect is the provider, and while they try hard, the connection is often hit or miss, and the charge is about $35/month. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Nicely landscaped clean campground backed up to the mountains. Grass, picnic table and tree at all sites. Friendly staff and clean facilities. Level concrete pads with sewer hookups. Propane available on site. Nice clubhouse. Dog walk area was small and muddy. We were used to paying a lot less per night but this seemed to be the going rate in the Metro and surrounding areas. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We are going fulltime and are taking advantage of all of this campground's "rates". We stored for a month for only $50, and since we wanted to test our systems they let us hook up with the electricity metered. This is a great alternative to the usual storage places as it has much better security and amenities. They also provided free use of a 100# propane tank, charging us just for the LP itself. Being newbies they even helped walk us up through our hookups and gave us some valuable advice on blackflow siphons and pressure regulators. This wasn't something they had to do and we really appreciated it. If we want to stay overnight they just charge us the nightly rate and we unhook from metered for that time. There are extra charges for WiFi as it is provided by a third party service - Coach Connect. It's a little wobbly at the edge of the park but works even with video messaging so we are very pleased. And yes, there are additional charges for cable, phone, third person and pets (although they did not charge us for an indoor cat). Fulltime rates are $530 + meter for the month. We're very very pleased with this campground. Although it is urban, I have not found the noise any worse than the apartments we currently live in. At least in this park the guys rake the leaves - and don't use those awful leaf blowers! On the east side is a distribution facility of some sort and during the week there is the noise of trucks coming and going. We are parked on that side and once in awhile it gets loud enough to get my attention but nothing to upset me. On the west side are the two sports/biker bars and I have noticed on some nights you can hear the music loud and clear even on the east side when I'm outside. But there you go - it's urban. Otherwise the big rock hill on the back side which they dramatically light up at night helps to offset some of the location's drawbacks. Rattlesnakes exist in the "wild" - I appreciate the reminder for caution. And in the winter they are not active. There's also open space close by - Apex Trail - at the other end of the Heritage Square (fun weird place to visit even in the off season) just up the road to the west about half a mile. Perhaps because we were going to be living through the winter we were given a very nice concrete pad, easy to pull into (even for newbies) with our 34 foot motorhome. Leveling was no problem and all hookups worked perfectly. Most impressed by the friendly helpful staff and the sheer cleanliness and care that goes into the facilities and park. We cannot gush enough about this. Love the little streetlights, street signs and the dumpster is not a mile away! The park is not that big :-) And they also offer morning trash pickup at curbside. So unsure why that was a problem for another poster. Pool is closed for season but we will take advantage of the little weight room which has interesting water resistance machines, the billiards table and the cozy clubhouse. There's a small play set for children and a couple of little grass putt putt greens for the golfer. Funny to watch people chip about with those little plastic balls. Even a nice little gas fireplace and complimentary tea and coffee in the clubhouse. This park has nicer amenities than our last "luxury" apartment complex! The ladies bathroom/showers even has built in blow dryers and is meticulously maintained. Be sure to get careful directions, though - the location is great once you get there but right at this spot Colfax, Highway 6, 470 and 70 become all mixed up on the maps. Once there, though, you'll find you are within easy distance to Golden and all major shopping needs including Home Depot, Petco, Kohls, Wild Oats, Ultimate Electronics, Target, Office Max and many restaurants and a movie theater. Camping World is also not far away but currently are enduring road construction right in front of their entrance - take a car, not a motorhome if you can. Downtown Golden should not be missed. Very quaint and lovely. There is a shortage of good RV parks in the Denver area and I highly recommend this one if you are new to the area and want to get your bearings in a safe and friendly place. I stayed at this park in 2002 and was very pleased and was looking forward to another stay here. Again this time, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The lobby is beautiful and I used the bath house this time which was well appointed, spacious and clean. However, this time I was given a site in the NE part of the park. The site was unlevel by 2". There was water constantly running down the road and on to my site which caused a constant mud problem and after a winter storm, very dangerous ice. The black top pad was worn and rutted. Some one had dumped their holding tanks on the ground and it looked like no effort had been made to clean it up. I looked around and and there were other sites available that had cement pads and were level with better views. Those sites also did not have the mud/ice problems I had. WiFi cost $4.95 and cable is $2 extra. These fees are on top of the $37.50 site fee. Because of the condition of my site, the extra fees and the fact that I was stuck down in the boondocks I do no find this park acceptable any more. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

A nice urban RV Park. Very nice clubhouse with pool table and lounge. Workout room. Stayed on pad E3 which was an easy pull thru near the clubhouse. A pilot takes you to your space. Near Coors and golf. In Jefferson county and easy to get to. I will stay here again when visiting Denver. Make sure you have a reservation - I got one of the last places. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is an OK park for an urban park. The roads are narrow and the concrete pads are barely wide enough to park on with no pad for the picnic table. I don't care for the back to back parking where your 'front yard' is also your neighbors 'front yard'. Their website is very misleading, it says wifi is available at all sites and on the same page list the extra fees such as for cable and dogs etc. but does not say an extra fee for wifi. When I asked about it the lady said oh one of the books forgot to put that in there. I told her it is on the parks own website. I don't think that it was a mistake I think it is deliberately misleading. We camped here in a Motorhome.

All sites in this park are narrow as are the roads which are in poor condition. While many of the sites are tolerable, we were assigned one of the many inferior sites. The blacktop was severely crumbling and the site had a distinct downward slope. It made leveling very difficult after a difficult back-in with the trailer because of the narrow interior roads. Sitting outside was impossible because of the highway noise (a hill, so there was a lot truck revving sound), and construction of a building adjacent to the park. There were jackhammer sounds from 5:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. even on the weekend. The noise was as loud as if the jackhammer were beside your ears. The pool was not open despite there having been at least two weeks of over 90 degree temperatures. We definitely would not stay here again. There are extra fees for cable TV and for pets. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here from Oct 2006 through April 2007. Very nice. The staff is friendly, for the most part. They provided an external propane tank for the winter, but charged us $2.70/gal when the going rate was $1.99/gal. The sites are narrow and our 3 slides just barely made it. They seem to 'nickel and dime' for assorted things, cable, pets ($25/month) and during the winter months you could not even GET to the dog walk. Their winter monthly rate was $530 + electric and propane. They raised their monthly rate for summer to $730 + electric and propane. Our electric bills ran over $100/month during the winter. (One month was $225!) If you need to work in Denver, this is pretty much your only choice. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I thought this was a very nice park. The roads were a little narrow and made backing into some of the campsites difficult. Campsites were small, but clean. Propane was available, and the staff was very friendly. If I stay in the Denver area again, I will pick this campground. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We like this campground. We had stayed here before and we were impressed with the cleanliness and the landscaping. It is a great base camp for spending time in the Denver area and also to run up to some of the mountain towns close to Golden. They were able to get us in at the last minute. Some of the sites are a little close and we had to take one of the smaller sites since they were about full, but even the smaller site was better than any other campground in the area. We have a 37' motorhome with two slides and we found our site fine for an overnight. They are building a pool. The staff is friendly. We will stay here any time we come back to Denver. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Unlevel sites in both aspects; can lose a windshield from twist trying to correct both. Pet daily charge $1 per pet; Coach Net wi-fi fee. Visual ok - office facility excellent. Ok when in area and need a location but not really a great campground in terms of physical problem of uneven sites and these neddlesome fees which the really class parks are not charging. We camped here in a Motorhome.

A nice resort, which is just a tad tight for 45' Prevost. Also a little overpriced for their type of RV Resort. Having said that we'd stay there again as it is neat, clean, well organized, good management and close to the Denver area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a spotlessly clean, modern resort with a very cordial and helpful staff. A beautiful community room with a huge fireplace, tv, kitchen and even a trade a book library was decorated for fall. The spaces were wide enough for 3 slide-outs and we had no trouble at all maneuvering throughout the park. There is a shopping center close-by and a 12 mile drive on this same street takes you straight into downtown Denver. We have been fulltiming for over a year now and rate this resort very high on our list of favorites. We camped here in a Motorhome.

RV Park in an urban area, just off a busy highway. Spaces are quite narrow, but grass and landscaping are immaculate. Convenient to Golden-Denver-Boulder area. The area can get a bit noisy, especially on weekends when the bar across the street operates at full volume. WIFI and cable are available for extra fees. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

If you like a campground that charges a healthy rental and then tacks on fees for 50 amps, fees for your dog, fees for cable tv, and exorbitant wi-fi fees, you'll fall in love with this place. If you seek a campground that has sites so narrow that your wheels will barely fit on the paved area and one where your neighbors are so close that neither of you can put out your awnings, then this is the park for you. If you like getting out of your motorhome on muddy grass and don't want a patio, then this place is right up your alley. If you like walking half a mile to dump your daily trash in the only dumpster area in the park, then you'll love it here. If you don't mind walking past "watch for rattlesnakes" signs on the way to the only spot that lets you view the Rockies, then you'll be happy here. If you like roads that are so narrow and turns that are so sharp until you're biting your nails getting to your space, then you'll be pleased here. In short, this is a high class dump. Stay somewhere else. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a neat, clean park with narrow, paved roads and level,concrete pads on every site. All rigs are escorted to their site, and 40'+ rigs will have no problem following the escort to their assigned pad. All sites have small grassy areas w/tables adjacent. There are two dog walk areas and a hiking trail up onto the ridge, which offers a breathtaking panoramic view orf the Rocky Mtn. Front range, and of the denver area. It is very peaceful and quiet. The staff is very courteous, friendly, and helpful. The laundry, restrooms, and shower facilities are modern, well lit, and sparkling clean. LP gas, some groceries and RV supplies are available on-site. Drawbacks:Although there is a small playground in the prak , there is no pool, and not much else for children to do. However, this is Denver, and there are tons of things to do within 30 minutes travel time. The campground does offer discounts for area pools, and there is an amusement park in the area. Camping world and RV Dealerships are also less than 15 minutes away. Reservations and deposit are recommended. We will stay here again. We stayed here Memorial Day Weekend, 2004, in a 36' class A. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This place is great. The staff was very nice. We had no problems. Great place to see Golden and Denver, park is close to start of Rocky's. We plan to go back and spent more time. We run out of time due to all the places to see around this park. We camped here in a camper.

Gorgeous campground in a fabulous location, convenient to Indian Peaks, Eldorado Canyon, Nederland, Boulder, Golden. We stayed in site #40 for 5 nights. Nice hiking trails on-site, but I wouldn’t recommend the Raccoon trail – too much of it follows an ugly dirt road in the bottom of a drainage. There are too many other great trails nearby. Water and sewer are centrally located, but fairly convenient. Bathhouse was very modern and clean, but no soap provided even for hand-washing, and the coin-operated showers are absolutely awful. I got all set up for my first shower, towel, soap, etc. all laid out, undressed, only to find my shower only eats coins, and does not dispense any water. The one next to it “worked”. Rather than a shower, I would describe it as a coin-operated cold pressure-washer. On full-hot it was quite cool, and the pressure could not be reduced below my pain threshold without turning the temperature icy. So I depended on my tiny camper’s shower for the rest of the trip and grew to appreciate it even though I can’t stand up straight in it. The campground itself is fantastic, and I would recommend it very highly. It is extremely clean, the hosts were very friendly, and the rangers courteously but firmly kept people from annoying each other. The understory beneath the pines is kept clear, which provides a very pretty aesthetic depth to the woods. The campsites are well-spaced and well-positioned to maximize privacy and the impression of the high mountain forest. I would recommend loop D, where we stayed, but this campground is full of great sites. It would be hard to go wrong. Google maps pointed us up Mountain Base Rd as the shortest route. But this road is closed to RV’s and vehicles pulling trailers. We took the longer route recommended, which was not that much longer (maybe 10 minutes) and definitely safer. Mountain Base Rd is definitely not suitable for trailers or RV’s – it’s too steep and curvy. I would have been terrified if I had ignored the sign, and I’m not sure I would have made it. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Being a Colorado resident and over 65 years old, I got an Aspen Leaf Season Pass that let's me stay 1/2 price Sunday through Thursday, so the $9 rate. This is great park for smaller rigs but I have a 38 foot 5'ver so there are limited spaces I can use. It is a beautiful park and the 50 amp electric is nice. The dump station has a tendency to get backed up at check out time. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Beautiful campground up in the mountains. Had lots of trees, and the sites had plenty of room. Bathrooms were very clean. Had a great time. We will stay at this park again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

The only reason I didn't rate this park a 10 is the tight dump station and the muddy access road required for RVs. The dump station is short and on a busy Sunday checkout the line of RVs waiting lined up several deep and there is no waiting area - you have to park on the shoulder of the main access road. The main road to get to Reveneur's Ridge is a steep (19%) narrow mountain road. (The campground is at 8800 feet.) No RVs are allowed so it requires a bit of a detour that ends up on a 2 mile dirt road that gets pretty nasty when it rains (which it did). All that being said, this is an excellent park - paved sites with 30 amp electric, lots of trees, well patrolled, clean restrooms, and good Ranger led activities for families. There are lots of hiking trails, although most are pretty hilly and the view from "Panorama Point" is awesome. And it is only about an hour out of Denver! It is very popular and fills up even during the week. Reservations (for summer months) are required months in advance. But well worth it if you can plan that far ahead! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

If you're going there for a vacation, probably a good place to stay. Place was recommended to us by locals who vacation there. Not knowing the area, we must have taken the long way, because we drove a long time on two lane roads for what seemed like forever. I would not recommend it for an overnight on your way through the area. It was dark by the time we got there and we didn't see much of the park. We camped here in a Truck Camper.

If you like getting up in the mountains and camping in the forest, this is the place for you. Lots of space between sites , very quiet and well-maintained. It is a steep climb up the mountain from I-70 but the road is good. This is a great state park and a beautiful place to camp while you are exploring the Central City area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This state park is located within a one hour drive from the Denver area. There have been many site improvements in the last couple of years and the facilities (shower & laundry) are first rate. There are several tent camping areas that are located in a remote section of the park. The roads and the RV sites are all paved (not the tent camping areas). There are hiking trails galore and the mountain views are excellent. Since this is a state park it is patrolled regularly by state rangers (quiet & orderly atmosphere). Overall, this is a great place to stay near the Denver or Blackhawk area. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

This is one of our favorite places to camp. All of the sites are very well shaded. Other than A loop most have lots of spacing between the sites. There are trails throughout the park and wonderful views. Our children also have enjoyed the weekend ranger program - where they learned what to do when lost and how to build a campfire. If you want more of a wilderness experience this is a great place. There are no nearby restaurants this is more of the go to be with nature kind of place. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

All roads are dirt and mud until you get into the campground itself making a huge mess all over your unit. When we got there we took a wrong turn that brought us by the yurts. The Yurt Parking is a joke and we ended up backing all the way out. If you have a big setup then be careful as trees are EVERYWHERE and you will have a rough time trying to get around them. The dump station is completely closed during the winter as well as any fresh water spigots. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is a beautiful park in the scenic foothills northwest of Denver. Reverend's Ridge CG has 97 sites for RVs or tents, 59 with electricity. Aspen Meadows has 35 sites for tents only. Sites are spacious, wooded, level, well separated and well maintained. Miles of hiking trails of various difficulties are available, and views are breathtaking. Bathrooms and showers are clean. Ranger programs are available throughout the summer season. Park is very popular because of its proximity to Denver and Boulder and reservations are necessary for weekends. Have camped there at least once a year since 2000. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Very tight sites (14'8" wide). Old c/g. Old, dirty permanent rigs in most of the sites. Dog walk was a 15x30 gravel lot. Warning signs to keep pets off the grass. Wi-Fi is not free. Staff was friendly and did not charge for dogs ($1 per day per dog). Close to Coors and Lookout Mtn. Would not stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed there a week visiting friends in the area at a rate of $31.00. The sites are concrete and some are narrow and some are wider. If you have slideouts be sure and get a wider site or your slideouts will be right up to your neighbor's. Wi-Fi from TENGO is included but the free time is limited to a one time usage. Cable is available for an additional cost. There are quite a few full timers and some of their coaches are "older". There are no amenities, no trees and no picnic tables and no room for chairs if you are in one of the narrow sites. We only stayed there because we had friends that were there. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is our first night as a full timer RVing family and first time in a RV. We got here at 6pm and had our info waiting for us in the mailbox. The sites are pretty small and a concrete pad and nothing to look at. A bit pricey for nothing. WI-FI is not free it's $4.95 a day. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Pluses include: Quiet; very convenient to tourist attractions including Buffalo Bill museum/grave, railroad museum, Renewable Energy museum, beer brewery's. So if you are coming just to tour, this is a great overnight spot for a few nights. If you want to camp maybe not. Cons: Park has very narrow sites: maybe 2'-3' to bbq if you park right next to driver side connect. There is no one to check you in on Sunday. (We had reservations, but no "checked in" envelope awaiting us, had to guess what site to park in.) There is no pool; minimal parking and if your RV or toad doesn't fit in your site, you must use over-flow parking. Navigation didn't take us here so verify directions from interstate 70 prior to arrival. The good news is if you are traveling through and just need a quick overnight, the Wheatfield Wal-Mart allows overnight parking for free. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed two weeks and found the park to be quiet, well run, convenient and reasonably priced for an urban park. There are seasonal sites here with many long term residents. Most sites are pull through and side by side. We had a fully paved site with enough room to extend our two slides on the drivers side and still be able to put out our small awnings on both sides. Beyond that, there was little space. Our toad was parked in the overflow parking at no additional cost. The park has two entrances with no entrance gate or security and is located behind a commercial strip mall. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I agree with the previous reviewer, this was the worst RV "park" we have ever stayed in. It is actually more like an RV storage facility or worse. Very difficult to move around here in our 5th wheel 30'. All concrete, no trees, no grass. There were many permanents in residence. I will never park here again: it is horrible! Very difficult to move around here in a motorhome (ours is 34 feet). All concrete, no trees, no grass. My wife commented that the only green you might see would be weeds coming up through the cracks in the concrete. Even though this is a Coast to Coast site, they would not honor the CC rates, hence the $33 charge for our one night stay. Just awful! We camped here in a Motorhome.

Rate reflects "Coast to Coast membership" reduced rates. Wife was impressed with clean bathrooms and laundry room. TV over-the-air reception is excellent. Wi-fi is available for a fee. Sites not level from side to side, used leveling blocks. I would stay here again. Adjacent to RV campground are long term trailers and appear to have permanent residents. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Yes, it is NOT a resort. No pool or spa. I have stayed in worse and the parks in the metro Denver area are very limited. We need to be here a month which limits it even more. If you are going to be here just a few nights there are better options but for a longer stay those options are limited. We have been here 4 days and it is ok. I would call it a working mans park. It is part of a combination mobile home/rv park. The wifi is Tengointernet so that means it is spotty. The office gave me a code for four free hours to check it out. It is tolerable. The above rate is on the monthly rate. The office staff are nice and helpful. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Resort? This was no resort and the worst place we ever stayed! The pools, hot tub, playground, basketball court were in the park behind and above the actual RV park, and only for people who stayed at least one month. There is a noisy biker bar at one end and a dogsitting place with barking dogs at the other. Drove by the entrance twice trying to find it. Washing machine facilities dirty; restrooms slightly better, but no paper towels. Sites very narrow and if you have a slideout like ours your slide winds up inches from the other slide. We had to listen to the neighbors high bass stereo. Wi-Fi is hit or miss; we were next to another rig and could not get it. A lot of trashy looking RV's and their sites where locals live year round; some of them did warn us to keep everything locked up due to recent thefts. They also said snowplowing after a storm was hit or miss. You can get thrown out if your dog does not use the run. Dispite the 'no skateboarding' rules it was not enforced. We had to chase kids off who boarding across our lot. People cut through the spaces and some are rather scary looking. We would never stay there again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

"Resort", what a joke. Nothing resembling a resort in any form. Pull throughs are very narrow. Most of the campers are permanently based and in poor condition. Parking is limited to an area away from your site. The dog run is at the end of the park and unless you choose an uneven lot at the end, you will have to walk. Signs everywhere stating you will be terminated if your dog goes on the grass. 3 women work in the office and 2 of them are very nice, but one likes to make snide remarks (with a smile on her face) about your dog, even though dogs are allowed in the site. This "resort" is ONLY good if you have no where else to stay. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This campground is not a "Resort". About 50% of the rigs are permanent and many are in very poor condition. Beat up cars, trucks, people walking through campground to go up to the housing above. Very loud street noise, dog kennel next door with dogs out most of the day, and barking. Pet walk is a 5' x 8' gravel area that is full of poop and stinks. Signs at all grass areas saying keep dogs out or you will be evicted. People at desk don't know how to tell you to go to your site. Sites very narrow. If slides are out, you have to walk on neighbors site. Cannot use awnings, no room. Only good thing is the sites are concrete and level. Roads are very narrow. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed for about 4 weeks. Restrooms and showers are very clean. Parking spaces are a bit narrow. We camped here in a camper.

This park has the nicest, cleanest bathroom and showers I've ever seen in a park. Spaces are nice but a little tight. We happen to love the location in the western area of Denver. Easy access to anything you might want to do in the area. They have a number of different prices based on the site you choose and how long you are going to stay. $25 is for their best site for a weeks stay ($30 for less than a week). The only problem is that they don't have dumps at the sites, but there is a dump. We will return here. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We arrived to find a crowded, cramped gravel parking lot. My slide outs practically touched the neighbors rig. There is construction underway on the nearby facilities, so there was heavy equipment moving around all day. Navigating the park was tough because the sites are so tight, and there are posts strategically placed to prevent you from turning too tightly. The attendants were nice, and the area is convenient. The sites along the curbs are not too bad, but if you get stuck in the dirt parking lot, watch out. On the other hand, the television reception was very good, and the voltage and water pressure were good. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Good economical place to stay in Denver area. Typical fairground--all gravel & somewhat narrow pull throughs except some long termers on blacktop and a few small back-ins by the bathrooms. They were not busy so we parked the truck in the site next to us. Near expressway and manufacturing plant that stops about 5 PM. We had some nice organized horse activity to watch. Camp hosts are very friendly & helpful. They are needed to unlock site water & electricity & dump station. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We full time RV but are not retired so both of us need computer/phone capability and this park provided us the ability to work during the day for a great price. The showers were impeccably clean and the park host was very friendly and obviously very attentive thus creating a nice, quiet and well maintained campground. The walk to the office to pay is quite long though and the sewer dump station is not convenient, especially when towing (end of a tight turnaround). For the price and cleanliness though, this campground should be high on anyone's list. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Very nice campground. Easy access from I-70. Restrooms and showers supper clean. Camp host friendly and very helpful. Had fast Wi-Fi in the 50amp spot. Originally planned to move to another campground in a few days, but extended to two weeks. Will stay here when in the area again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Restrooms & Showers were very clean and very nice. Site was fairly level. We parked parallel to the side walk and had 30 amp. The road was paved but slightly slanted toward the curb. The sites have no sewer so you have to go dump. Staff was friendly. Park well maintained. Can't beat the price. We stayed for 3 nights until we found a campground with sewer. Parks around Golden stay full in the summer. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Very nice area and campground. The receptionist and workers at the fairgrounds bent over backward to be helpful. The receptionist was out for lunch when we arrived so another worker brought us into the office and had us taken to a campsite. Later we came back in to pay. There are many great things to visit very near here. We enjoyed the Mother Cabrini Shrine, Buffalo Bill's Grave and Museum and the Coors Brewery. Lots of nice stores just across the freeway. This is a clean, nice campground and we would love to come back. They do take reservations. We camped here in a Motorhome.

RV sites on fairgrounds property. Six dirt back-in sites have 50 amp service. Eight 30 amp sites are asphalt, parallel along parking lot curb. The rest are fairly tight dirt 30 amp pull throughs. Big rigs would be tight but do able in pull throughs, and okay elsewhere. Bathrooms were clean even though open to the public, and RVers get a code for the private shower rooms. Had to call the office to get dump station unlocked but they responded immediately. This was during off season, and water had been turned off at dump station and in pull through sites. Also, electric and water hookups at sites are locked until campers register. Might be an issue for late arrivals. No amenities/activities except fairgrounds property, although there is a huge field and a playground that locals seem to use. Campground has 7 day limit. We paid $15/night but the rate went up to $20/night effective January 2007. We camped here in a Motorhome.
