Best Wi-Fi ever in an RV park. Great cable TV. Clean and friendly. Would stay here again. Notes: site widths are tight but any RV will fit here. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Great campground that is fairly close to Black Canyon of the Gunnison, which is why we chose it. Some sites have shade and they are close together but level. We had a pull-through site and had plenty of room. Staff is very friendly, restrooms clean. Lovely miniature golf course. Even though there is a sign, we missed it because it points to an alley way so thought it was the 'next' right turn. But, alas, you do go through the alley to reach the campground. We stayed 5 nights and would camp here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Very relaxing and quiet, nice large doggie exercise area, nice putt/putt golf course included, everything very clean. Wonderful owners. Only reason not a 10 is spaces are a little narrow. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Very clean, well maintained park with very friendly, helpful staff. Laundry room was clean but a bit higher than most. Showers are Great! Hot water, plenty of pressure, clean and roomy spaces. Gravel pads are basically level though the spaces are a bit small. Big Rigs did not seem to have a problem maneuvering. Park was a little hard to find, needs to have a sign on the highway. The mini golf coarse is free for campers and a challenge. We stayed 3 nights. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Agree with earlier comments. Our site was good sized with shade. Wi-Fi worked very well and strong AT&T signal. Friendly and convenient. Note, however, that Google Maps route was wrong--use the directions on their web site or call. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Pros: Very nice owners. They were friendly and went out of their way to make your experience a good one. The miniature golf was lots of fun. Lots of shade trees. Wi-Fi was great. Great places to walk the dogs. Quiet location right in town. Level gravel parking. Pull-through sites. Cable TV was good. Cons: Many of the sites are narrow and short. We have a 29 foot trailer. Once the trailer was in the site, there was no room for the truck. They do have an area for overflow parking. There are some larger and longer sites so if you have a large rig, I would ask for one. Even with the smaller sites, I would come here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Nice park located near town, but also close to Black Canyon National Park. You also get free mini golf! Facilities are clean and well maintained. Little tight for large motorhomes, but good shade and level sites. The owners take pride in their park and it shows. I am staying for a week as there is plenty to do in the area. If you are looking for a smaller park with no road noise and quiet neighbors, this is a good choice. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Good wireless, friendly and not overwhelming staff, resort is close to downtown as well as the Black Canyon. The restrooms and showers are clean, and there is free mini golf for campers. Sites are tight, but easy to maneuver in and out of. Resort is covered in stone and is pretty much dust free, and there is a nice size dog area. In regards to the RV sites they are tight and some sites do not have picnic tables. Instead, there is a small bistro set. The sites are separated by a split-rail fence, and the substrate around the sites are mulch which can become messy. I would recommend this park due to its close proximity to downtown and other attractions. Furthermore, the staff is fantastic, and the resort is meticulously kept. On the downside, the sites are rather tight, and you may need cord extensions (which they provide at no cost). All and all, a good RV Park. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice clean park. New owners the week we arrived, although there was some confusion about our reservations, they were able to accommodate our party with multiple rigs. Very shady and many surrounding attractions to enjoy. The small town was a pleasure to walk through. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park is a small mom-and-pop operation. It is located in the city limits just a few blocks from downtown. It has an unusual entrance. If you are arriving from the east, you drive through the back of a shopping center to get to the park. Be sure to call for directions. Each site has either a picnic table or a small wrought iron table and chairs. The sites are separated by a small split-rail wooden fence. All the sites are very close together. We had a water and electric back-in site# 40, which was near the creek. Although the sites are small, they are do-able even with a big rig. The park was very quiet. The washers and driers were new and reasonably priced. There is a book exchange. There is a miniature golf onsite and the first game is complimentary. There are showers which were “dated” but very clean. Free WiFi is available but we did not use it so cannot comment on speed. Our Verizon card and phone worked well here with Broadband access. There is a pride in ownership in this park. However, the park has changed owners who took over the day after we arrived. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Quiet and spotlessly clean campground. Wi-Fi is outstanding. Restrooms shine. Very nice mini-golf, free to campers. Small dog run. Right in town, but no town noise. Employees were extremely friendly and helpful. When a couple of our activities got rained out, they helped with suggested alternates. A bonus is that there is a drive-in movie 5 minutes away where we took the grand kids. Great fun! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed at this park for four nights and while I agree with the reviews below, the "stalls" are extremely tight. The front sites are just that, gravel between split-rail fencing and we had a grand total of 4 feet of space between us and the neighbor with our one slide open. The view of our neighbors sewer line was all we had. The park is nicely kept, has a dog run, family-owned, showers and bathrooms clean, but the "sites" are just too tight for more than a night or two stay. We will look elsewhere when we next visit the area. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a very nice park. Located in town, close to everything, but very quiet. Level gravel sites, very well taken care of and clean. Staff always maintaining grounds, happy and friendly. I personally feel it's unfair to give a campground a 4 just because it's to small for big rigs. This is a beautiful little park, well-maintained, with spotless restrooms and showers. The grounds are lovely, has lots of plants and flowers. We are in a 28' travel trailer, and had no problem maneuvering to our site. I agree that the sites are close together; but everything else about this park is deserving of a high rating. The owners are friendly and helpful, and welcomed us enthusiastically when we checked in. The laundry room has 3 brand spanking new washing machines and 3 new dryers: and, again, the room was spotless. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Nice and clean and very friendly people in the office. Free Wi-Fi is a definite plus. Unfortunately everything is so close together, small and tight it's very difficult to maneuver and uncomfortable - claustrophobic for sure. If you have a pop up or a small rig with 1 or no slides you'd be OK. Our 37 foot MH with tow was hard to move around. We wound up parking in the middle of the street to register and almost hit a fence with the MH and the tow car trying to maneuver. The site is barely wider than the rig, (length is fine.) When extended our slide is about 24 inches from our neighbor. Although the facilities are pleasant we won't return here just because it's so cramped. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The Manager was very helpful and friendly. It was Memorial Day weekend, and we had no reservation, but she put us in a nice shaded spot without sewage. Site was not spacious, but adequate. Park has a nice look and is well landscaped. Interior roads are gravel and very wide. Good location for seeing Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park. Had excellent WiFi. Visited in the off season, so this was OK for us. In the busy season, these sites would be very tight for a MH with slides. Had good Verizon Air Card reception, and OK cable TV. This little park is a gem. It was clean, quiet and the staff was friendly and helpful. You are escorted to your site, it was easy to level the trailer and the dog park is large and clean. The park is all gravel but it is packed and allows for easy walking for you and your pet. There is mini-golf right on-site and easy access to shopping. It is a bit difficult to find so that is the only reason I didn't give it a ten. We stayed two nights. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a family owned and run campground. They are very friendly and helpful. The campground is small, and slightly difficult to find. However, once there it is easy to navigate around to your site. You are escorted to the site. The sites are gravel but fairly level. The campground is very near attractions and shopping. We would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This little, tucked away park is nice and convenient to all of the attractions in the area. A creek flows adjacent to the park, and you can hear it babbling from your campsite. Small place in both number of sites as well as how close together the sites are. We were told we had a pull through, which we did, but the sites were so short it would just barely accommodate our 28 ft 5th wheel and I had to park my truck in the road in front or back. As everyone else had to do the same thing this made for some very crowded conditions. Not to mention that if you put out a slide you are literly 2-3 feet from the side of the rig next door. On the up side the staff was friendly and the place was clean. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Under new ownership last year and they are working hard to improve looks of park and assist guests. Very helpful and friendly. Lots of things to do in and around Montrose and park is easily located near most of them and downtown shopping. Many are within walking distance. Interior is gravel, but very neatly maintained. I would definitely stay there again if in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

As previous reviewers have said, this is a friendly park with large, pull-through sites and everything works great. Nice, clean laundry and less expensive than many. The grass and tree between the sites makes for a comfortable place to sit, although if the neighbor is having a party, it's a bit awkward, unless you're invited. The two couples that work at this park are very friendly and helpful. This park puts you in striking distance to so many great outdoor opportunities. We stayed the first three nights on Passport America, then decided it was so nice, we stayed another week at the regular rate. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is an awesome park and great location to visit areas both north and south. Just 10 miles south of Montrose and all the major shopping opportunities - Walmart, Target, Penney's, Home Depot, etc. An easy drive to Black Canyon of the Gunnison to the north or Ouray and Silverton to the south. Lots of opportunities for Jeeping and friendly folks to go with. All sites in the park are pull-through with plenty of room for big rigs. Hookups worked great as did the Wi-Fi. The two work camper couples took very good care of the place and were terrific to deal with. The campsite arrangement is a bit odd in that you every other site is a pull-in in the opposite direction meaning that you share a grassy space with your neighbor. The only downside is that it is right on a major highway which means traffic noise otherwise it would be a 10. We camped here in a Motorhome.

A very nice park. The sites are flat and easy to get in and easy to get out. All the hookups work and are easily accessable. The staff is friendly and helpful. This park is actually in Ridgway, about 11 miles South of Montrose. We were only here for one night, but this would be a good place for a more extended stay, to visit the sights in the area. This is a Passport America park, hence the reasonable rate. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park is just off the main highway and about 5-10 miles south of town but the sites are very large with nice grass and a view of the mountains. Even though they were "closed" for the season as of 10/1/11 they had no problems with us staying for 3 nights. Very friendly and I'd stay here again. Certainly was not expecting much from this Passport America park other than a place to stay a few nights with hookups. But, it's exceeded my expectations! Very friendly staff and ultra well-kept grounds. Huge pull-through sites with a nice large grassy area between each rig with a small shade tree and picnic tables. Nice to have some shade and cool grass for sitting out, but still be able to use your satellite dish! The park is about 10 miles south of Montrose and very quiet even though it's along the highway due to all the open space. Location is convenient not only to Montrose, but to Ridgeway, Ouray, and Telluride as well. ATT & Verizon worked great here, and best of all: the park's free Wi-Fi was exceptionally strong and easy to connect to. A terrific place to stay a few days or a few months! We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a nice, clean, well-cared for RV park. The sites are long and level. The side that shares the utilities is a bit close to your neighbor; however, there is a large grassy area on the other side. Utilities worked fine and Wi-FI was fairly stable. Verizon phones had great reception. Some road noise as they are by a busy highway but it wasn't too distracting. The workampers were friendly and efficient. Many monthly renters, mostly escaping from the Arizona and Texas heat; however, all sites are well maintained. Generally an adult park, which we like. Close to Montrose, Telluride, and Ouray. Lots of places to take your jeep. Our rate reflects a Passport America discount, valid for 3 nights. We would stay again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Nice park. Sites are gravel with a grass area that is shared with your neighbor. We stayed here for a month. We park our motor home here and then roam some of the great 4X4 jeep trails that are close by. The park is about 10 miles south of Montrose. It is also near Ouray, Silverton, Durango and Telluride. Passport American rate of ~$17/night is good for three days only. Nice level park with good utilities ~6 miles north of Ridgway State Park's northern entrance. Utilities were good and Verizon air card worked well. We stayed here for two night since the Ridgway SP was full. Nice people. Only problem we had was that the sewer hook-up was in the front and was too far away for the trailer - but this may not be a problem for folks with a motorhome. Lots of birds and frogs nearby. We loved staying at this park. It is located in a very flat meadow just south of Montrose. The park is clean and very well maintained. The site layout provides ample space between RVs. The camp hosts were very friendly and always helpful. The entrance to the Black Canyon of the Gunnison is about 20 or so miles NW and the San Juan mountains are approximately 20 miles South. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is the best Passport America Park I think we have ever stayed in. We even stayed an additional 3 nights. Staff is very friendly. There are buddy sites and large pull-ins. They had their monthly BBQ while we were there. Lots of RVs with jeeps spend the summer there, but it was not trashy or looked overly "lived in". We would stay there again. Price is average for 8 days (3 days Passport, 5 days regular). There are at least a couple of shady sites; we had one. Like the other reviewers, I liked this park for it's long pull-throughs, spacious, level sites, and friendly staff. Clean laundry room with 3 and 3. Wi-Fi was generally decent, Verizon was fine, so was satellite reception. Nice dark night skies. Nearby highway is a little annoying but not terrible. Montrose, with good shopping, is 8 miles up the highway. We would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed last year for two months and found the park very enjoyable. Close to lots of sights to see. Access to the San Juan Mountain passes is nearby. The Staff was very friendly and helpful. The grounds were clean and well groomed. We will go back. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is an excellent park. Very long pull through's, spectacular views of mountains and about 10 miles from downtown Montrose. Staff are very friendly and helpful. We would stay here again. The rate reflects Passport America (we had the rate for 3 nights), so the non PA rate would be double this. Excellent value for money if you are a PA member. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park is a gem. All sites are very large pull throughs. The view of the mountains here is spectacular. This is a much nicer park for the money than most in the San Juan Mountains area. This is one of Passports best listings. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Price reflects Passport America. Great campground, friendly staff; extremely clean facilities. Laundry prices very reasonable. Very large sites, could keep toad attached. Rated it a 9 only because it didn't have cable TV; poor antenna reception and side by side utilities. Would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is an excellent big rig campground. The sites are large with convenient hookups. We were on the fringe of the wifi range, but it was good when connected. Highway is fairly busy but there was not a noise problem. It is a well managed and pleasant campground with mountain views and lots of places to visit, especially to the south. A really nice clean park located south of Montrose, Colorado on highway 550. Nice shopping centers and places to eat in Montrose. Stunning view of the San Juan Mountains to the south and centrally located for tours of places like Grand Mesa, Black Canyon of the Gunnison, Telluride, etc. The staff is very accommodating and helpful. Large pull through level sites. Hot showers with heated floors. Beat that one. The facilities were just very clean and well maintained. Free Wi-Fi. Overall a nice place to stay. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We camped here with Passport America and paid a little extra for 50 amp. The bathrooms and laundry are immaculate. There is even a computer in the laundry. The camp office has a small library book exchange, and lots of local information. The campground is out of town, but it is very quiet and peaceful. The camp hosts are great and are very helpful with anything you need. They have a 3 day limit on Passport America, but if they are not full they will allow you more days on that rate. The views of the mountains are great. The sites are very long and all pull-throughs. The wi-fi signal was always strong. I just wish this campground was closer to my home so I could visit more often. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a nice park about halfway between Montrose and Ridgeway. Sites are gravel with a little grass in between. Staff was very nice, and really knowledgable about the area. Wi-fi worked fine from our site which was quite a ways from office. This is a Passport America park. We would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Large sites, easy access. Highway is busy an noisy, try to get a site away from it. We were in the first row and it was very noisy. Wi-Fi worked. But very slow and for some reason their ISP wouldn't allow me to send e-mail. The bugs were in full force, all of our group left sporting bug bites. The host should have sprayed the grass to get rid of the bugs. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We are in a 40' motorhome with 4 slides and fit well in a premium site. There are sites without big trees and with big trees. We prefer no trees. The lady who checked us in was a little strict about the rules. She went over everyone of them. Some sites have fire rings and you can get wood in the office for $4.00 a bundle. I had a good experience with the check in. Friendly people. All sites are full hookup and all are pull through. A few sites are not as level as could be. Side by side hookups, works well when you pull all the way forward. (Not all RVers know this.) Quiet park, meaning no organized pot lucks or activities. Stayed all summer. This is a very nice campground. The views of the surrounding mountains are great. It has large level gravel sites. Each site has grass, a shade tree, and picnic table. There are also fire rings at some of the sites for campfires. There is also a small playground. We liked this park because it wasn't crowded like some of the other parks. You feel like you have your own space. We will stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

New owners trying very hard to improve this park. From long term residents I understand that previous owners let the park deteriorate badly. We found the owner to be friendly, the sites were very large, WiFi worked, got a few local TV stations using our rig's antenna. Conveniently located for anyone who wants to see Ouray, Silverton or Telluride but doesn't not want to take their big rigs to those locations. We hope that the new owner is successful in building back the clientel who used to enjoy this convenient location. We would stay here again should we ever return to the Montrose area. The new owner was remodeling the pool room, otherwise it would have been open. They are in the process of updating, remodeling and cleaning the qudraplex cabins. Great views of the mountain range. Wi-fi was good based upon where you were parked. Over-all a good experience. The park should be a treasure next Spring when all of the re-modeling has been completed. The campground has recently reopened with a new owner and under new management. The reception was downright grouchy. We wanted to use our Passport America (PA) membership, but we were told that this discount is only available on the sites next to the highway. These sites have only 30 amp. So we chose a premium site. For all sites you can get a 10% discount with Good Sam Club. We were escorted to our pull-through site. They have obviously put new gravel on the roads and some sites. There was more weed than grass between the sites. The sites are level and the pull-throughs long. Electric and Wi-Fi worked good. It was quiet during the night. They allow tents now. The whole campground needs a lot of improvements to deserve the term RV-Resort. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here under our Coast to Coast membership. Rate should be $10 a night but they have added a $4 surcharge for electric (30 amp) My opinion is that the surcharge is to make the rate the same as the Passport America rate. At check in we were told that they are encouraging people to use PA rather than other memberships. The park roads are gravel as are the sites but they are large and will easily accommodate any size rig. The pool & spa were both closed during our visit in late September. Located about 9 miles south of Montrose and 25 miles north of Ouray this park is convenient to the local attractions. It does offer up some great views of the San Juan mountains but it is off Hwy 550 so traffic noise is a little distracting. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This was a fairly nice campground located near Montrose, Co. Although we booked it through Coast-To-Coast which was supposed to be an all-inclusive fee, the owner chose to add on an additonal $4.00 fee for electricity. The hot tub, which was listed, was broken and had apparently been so for a ling time as the room it was in was being used for storage. The bathroom facilities and laundry were very clean and well kept. Management was friendly. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This rate is Passport America. Therefore, we were in the budget sites rather than the premium. That was not a problem because we were only over-nighting. There is a surcharge for utilities but that was included in the PA rate. The lady checking us in was very friendly and escorted us to our site. They have a barn with activities going on sometimes, a pool (both indoor and outdoor) and other facilities. The site was gravel and level with a strip of grass next to it. If someone had been next to us, it would be close, but there is room for slides. Good satellite reception. No cable but 4 or 5 local stations. Wi Fi is a good free connection. This park could be a really nice park, but it needs some TLC. The manager was grumpy and whenever we asked a question about where things were she said she had no idea. We don't require an RV park that provides a complete entertaiment package, but rather use it as a base camp for other activitiess. We have stayed at this park in other years and like it. It has a great view of the mountains to the south, and is relatively close to other places that we wanted to visit like Black Canyon of the Gunnison, Ouray and Box Canyon at Ouray. We also went to Silverton and Durango but elected to stay in a motel at Durango, so we could get an early start on the Durango Silverton Railroad. Montrose is a nice city with the old reliable Wally World on the south side of town. By the way there is a great 50's dinner near the Wally World that is lots of fun. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a Coast to Coast & Passport America park. Sites are gravel, some level, some not so level. Sites are large enough for big rigs. Roads are gravel & wide enough. Nice level sites. Manager helpful and friendly. This park is close to town, but quiet at night. The only problem we had was the droppings from the resident geese. Managers cleaned it up before we parked. They moved on to another roosting spot. The rate reflects a monthly stay which was $450 plus electric. We would definitely stay here again. This lady is beyond nice, but becomes somewhat overbearing. There is no office but the owners live on site, and check you in from a golf cart. They would not take credit cards but wanted cash or check. It is basically a large gravel area along the fast moving river. Mostly under trees, it is shady. They have a number of camper cabins. I did feel she priced us based on our rig, and ability to pay. There was no bath house, but rather a door led into the back of their house. It had a couple of washers and one lavatory and shower. I did feel like I was intruding to use the facility, and did not return or ask again. For $40 bucks you would think you would have a public bathroom. The utilities were fine, and the location is really great to the newer part of town. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park was a clean and secure crushed-rock park. Managers were fastidious and conscientious, if a little/lot overboard when checking in. Free Wi-Fi and the other utilities worked well. We stayed a month and would stay again. Location is central to all the area attractions and close to Montrose. If you want to backup to the river, then this is the place. Great walking and biking trails along the river inter-connecting the city parks. There is no club house or office. Owner has house on site and a park hosts handles most of the tasks. There are about a dozen park model cottages as well. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

It is very pricey for not having restroom facilities. Passport America was not honored because there were already to many PA customers in park. They all looked seasonal to me. The host was not extremely friendly. She helped us back up and started getting snippy and making faces because we couldn't put our camper in the exact spot she wanted. If she would have driven us to the spot in the right direction it would have been a lot easier. We would definitely prefer the other parks over this one south of town. We would not stay here again. On the plus side: sites are gravel (which keeps down dust) with shade trees on the perimeter and a nice common area in the center with grass and two picnic tables and shade. Premium sites back onto the river (with the rear of Target on the opposite bank). Some sites have their own picnic table. Staff is friendly. Strong and free wi-fi connection. On the minus side: no activity building, no laundry, no restrooms (only a pair of absolutely horrid porta-potties in the common area), no shower, no store, no pool, no book exchange -- no amenities at all. Passport America is accepted weekdays only. It is handy to town, but we won't be staying here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I drove through this park as it had not been rated in some time. I spoke with the camp hosts to get the figures of $35 nightly. She also stated that monthly rates were from $425 - $475 plus electric. All the sites are on gravel as there is no grass in the CG and there is adequate spacing between the sites. The higher priced sites directly back up to the river. The location is on the far south end of Montrose and is perfect for using as a base for sightseeing. From first blush, this is a park that I would recommend to others. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We loved staying here. Very quiet and easy access to a great bike trail, Wal-Mart, etc., but felt very private. The sites were very level the river was very peaceful. They didn't have a lot of amenities, at the time, but said they were working on it. Very friendly "mom and pop" park. Stupendous scenery within a 30 minute drive. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Clean well maintained park. Staff friendly and helpful. Sites are long enough for big rigs, "if you unhook." The sites are surrounded by wooden ties. There are fences, which makes it difficulty to maneuver. Water and electric good. Wi-fi good. This park is convent to downtown Montrose, which has new grocery stores, shopping and restaurants. Large sites with grass between. This campground is well run and well maintained. The owner is active in the daily operations. The third party Wi-Fi was having problems while we were there. Tengo Internet is the provider. They had a tech there working on the system the day we departed. Signage is not good but that is due to regulations of the city of Montrose, not the campground. Made a reservation for 3 sites together back in January, but when we arrived, they said the sites we reserved were no longer available and they had to put us in other sites. An inconvenience for 3 families traveling together, but they compensated us for the trouble. Site was long and level pull through. The grounds were very well kept. Staff was friendly. I'm not sure how this park got all the raving reviews. It's OK, but nothing special. Receptionist seemed uninterested. Pros: level sites, not too close, good cable TV, nice new laundry. Cons: Virtually no entry signs, tough to find in a big rig -- needs a sign on the highway at least; smallest shower cubicle ever; pool and jacuzzi nonfunctional; wi-fi marginal. It was okay for a stopover, but there's got to be better parks. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We have stayed in about 130 RV parks in the 11 western states and 2 western provinces (I thought it was about 160 but DW corrected me!) and have walked away from a few dozen more places. Emerald Desert in Palm Desert, in its heyday, was always our standard of comparison. But this park, we just spent 5 days here, is right up there with it. The owner, is a class guy. Great graveled level sites with some trees and a grass area between each site. The facilities were very nice and clean and the people were friendly. The biggest issue was with the Wi-Fi internet access. There was a filter on downloading files and any files but the very smallest did not make it. You were not warned so I kept waiting for them to download. I teach on-line so I needed to download small student files but the Wi-Fi would not allow it. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

I just spent 2 months at this RV park. Great staff and park. I can't seem to think of any reason to even rate it at a nine! I especially liked the room service style LP tank fill. Just set it out side and it get's picked up, filled, put on your bill and returned. Just think two months without the cable TV or WiFi acting up. I will be back. The fact that I have two grand children in Montrose Colorado may also influence my travel plans back to this area. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This was a very nice RV park. Although we got there after hours there was a number to call staff and someone came within five minutes to register us. We only stayed one night but it was a nice park. They had extras like a swimming pool, jacuzzi, and playground and a lot of good sites. Most sites even had a grassy area with a picnic table. The cable worked really well here. Wow, a Wi-Fi that worked beautifully and consistently. Employees were friendly and very helpful. Very nice, shaded sites. Nice pool, spotless restrooms. A clean and very nicely landscaped facility. I highly recommend this RV resort. Oh yes, many happy and repeat customers all around us. Good indicator. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a beautifully maintained park. The staff is courteous and truthful. They realize that the interior roads are a bit "tight" and let you know that when you arrive. I deeply appreciate honesty. This one problem keeps me from giving them a perfect rating, but their cleanliness and attitude make up for that one small problem. I would return. The trees and vegetation which are well pruned and maintained, add to the park's attractiveness. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This was the first RV park we've stayed at. We stayed in site 23 just across from the office, bathrooms,and pool. The sites had a nice grassy area and had a fair amount of space. The park was very quiet. It is pet friendly with an area to walk your pets. We found the location near shopping convenient. The restrooms and showers were exceptionally clean. The pool and hot tub were also clean and nicely kept. A large pavilion with picnic tables and two large gas grills are available for everyone to use. Wi-Fi was fast and strong. Verizon cell phone service was good. Verizon air card also had a strong EVDO Rev. A signal. We stayed for 3 nights. We will stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

It's always a pleasure to encounter an RV Park that is virtually faultless. We can usually find something annoying to use in knocking a facility. Not at Montrose RV Resort. The management is friendly and helpful, the grounds and sites are meticulously maintained, the utilities are excellent, and the restrooms are spotless. The laundry room is equipped with plenty of washer/dryer combos, and there is a pet walk where you can let your dog off leash. Every site has an expanse of grass and a mature tree, along with a picnic table. The town of Montrose itself rates very high with us. In a valley just north of the San Juan Mountains, it boasts an attractive and thriving downtown area, plus a commercial corridor on the south end of town with supermarkets and shopping centers. From here you can easily tour in your toad to all the local points of interest, of which there are many. I should note that we only give scores of 10 to facilities that are among the most outstanding in the country (LV Motorcoach Resort, Seven Feathers in Canyonville, OR for example). We'd like to give Montrose RV Resort a 9.5 if we could! We'll certainly be back. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Well maintained and nicely laid out. Close to town, so handy for shopping and restaurants. All the big chains are there, Walmart, JC Penney etc. Clean restrooms and laundry. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This an very good park with FHU, cable TV, Wi-Fi and a pool. The older sites are under nice shade trees and as good as any in most parks. The newer sites are more open are a match for most high end parks. From my discussions with the staff, the park is not going the high end RVs only or the selling lots route. That's good news for us little folks. The center of town is about a mile and an half to the east but the main retail area is south of there. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed 6 weeks at the monthly rate. The management, owner, and help were very helpful and friendly. This is the old Montrose KOA so there are also a few camping cabins available. Ideal location, off the highway/streets, minutes to the center of town, great medical services, and pretty much any other kinds of services and shopping you might want. Great pull-throughs for short stays. Only negative experience was a problem with sprinklers watering the RV and car with irrigation water (very bad water spotting), but the owner was working that problem. We'd do both long term and short term stays here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We were planning to stay down the road in Ouray. Unfortunately, phone calls revealed there were no sites in any of the parks there. Luckily, we found this park in nearby Montrose. After seeing the sardine-can parks during our visit to Ouray, we were very glad that we ended up at Montrose RV Resort. The sites have very nice grass areas that are well landscaped. The pool was very clean and the spa relaxing. Great place to walk the dogs and a clean laundromat. The electricity was good - could run A/C and electric water heater on 30A at the same time. Friendly staff. We would definitely stay at this park again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This campground has two sections. One section has nice shaded sites and adequately sized spaces. The other section is comprised mostly of permanent campers. The campground is well kept and nicely groomed. Unfortunately we had a site in the permanent camper section which was a terrible site. I would not recommend this part of the campground for a lengthy stay. It would be okay for overnight. Sites in the other section would be great for lengthy stays. The hosts/owners were friendly and helpful. My rating of 6 is based on our experience in the campground, including the site we were given. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice place! We originally were only going to stay a few days - found it so pleasant and well located that we stayed 11 days. We are traveling with a lab puppy - the only thing that could have been better here would be a dog run area. The owner and workampers were a pleasure, restrooms and laundry clean and the landscaping was very nice. Our site had a big grassy area with several trees. The long-termers are located to the east side of the park, and are seldom seen from the west side. Pool is small but clean, hot tub was fine, but not particularly hot. Walking distance to Red Barn Restaurant and just a couple of blocks off Hwy 50, but no road noise to speak of. We chose this over other campgrounds near the rivers as to cut down on the mosquitoes, and we enjoyed most evenings outdoors bug-free! Great location to explore Silverton, Ouray, Telluride, Grand Mesa, and the wine and fruit country to the north. We will definitely return! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is clean with nice wide sites. We had a little trouble getting level in our site as it sloped a bit toward the left front. The park is well maintained and friendly. We enjoyed our stay. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This was a very nice park for a few days to see the area - Telluride, Ouray, etc. It is all gravel with grass in between and the sites were good size with smaller trees. There are a half dozen or so large pull-throughs for big rigs with trailers like ourselves. The grounds are immaculately kept. The pool was spotless. The laundry is all new front loading machines and is very clean. The size of the park is a bit misleading. Adjacent is a "permanent" park of about equal size. Didn't use their WiFi, we used our air card. Satellite was no problem. We camped here in a Motorhome.

A truly outstanding RV resort with caring and decicated management and workers. Long, wide, very nicely landscaped sites with plenty of green space between. Good cable and good wi-fi. Excellent water pressure and electricity. We visited all the other RV parks in Montrose and, without doubt, this is the best. We would stay here again for a day, week, month, or season. We camped here in a Motorhome.

A nice park in every way! The owner is nice and appreciates your business. Sites are pull throughs, gravel and very level. Nice table and grass next to site. Utilities were excellent and in right position. Bath and showers are spotless! Has a lot of seasonal rigs but they are clean and neat. Will stay again! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We found this park with no trouble as indicated in previous reviews. The problems with the sign had been fixed. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our site was level with a nice grassy area with picnic table. The dog walk was well kept and a bonus was an open field nearby where we could let her off-leash and play ball to give her much needed exercise. The park was convenient to everything and very quiet so we stayed here four nights and used Montrose as our base to explore Telluride, Ouray, Silverton and of course, the Black Canyon. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We were pleasantly surprised at how quiet this park was. Bath and showers were large and spotless! The office staff wasn't very friendly at check-in, or when I went back to them to get another site. (The first site they gave us was covered in dog excrement!) When I went to office, the response was, "Oh, that cannot be." They finally gave us another site, and we enjoyed the night. We will stay here again, just for the clean bath and showers. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Gravel roads and sites. Fairly level sites, grass plots between each site. Lots of large, mature trees and all are well trimmed, clear of units. Wi-fi was slow, but free. Friendly hosts. Very clean facilities. Big laundry available. Picnic tables, propane, well stocked store. Attractive and clean pool and children's play area. Only knock is difficulty in finding the place. The street sign for Cedar Street is easy to miss (low and covered with brush from Business 50). RV park can also be accessed from the truck route. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice park: the fence that was in other post, is gone. Has good quality power (on meter); level, pull through sites; friendly staff. Everything was very clean. It is easy to miss the turn off 50. Go beyond San Juan St., to Cedar St., then turn North. If you are coming to this park from south on Highway 550: TAKE YOUR TIME. That was one of the twisty-est road I have ever been on! We camped here in a Motorhome.

Limited signage to campground, one could miss the road to it if not careful. Open campground with limited signs to say where to stop and register. Owners were friendly and efficient. Access roads to site were well maintained but a little narrow on turns due to fences. Sites are gravel with grass and are all pull-throughs. The whole site was well maintained. The owners are currently putting in additional sites and slowly developing the campground into a deeded plot resort. Quiet, despite being near town center. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The new owners bought the place in May or June. We made reservations with the previous owners who did not keep their reservation system up to date too well. When we arrived, they really didn't have a full hookup site for us. They did have a site that only had water and electric, which was good enough for us, and there was a sewer dump on the way out. The new owners went out of their way to make sure our stay was good. This location appears to be a former KOA. There are LOTS of nice big shade trees and lush green grass when we were there. The swimming pool was good size. Bathrooms were clean. We would stay there again if in the area. I think once the new owners clean up the reservation mess that was left to them, they will be able to keep on top of it all. We camped here in a Motorhome.
