This is a great park, nicely shaded along a lake front. I was only staying one night and didn't want to unhitch so the concrete pad on space 11 was great. I arrived late. As far as I could tell, and from the info from other campers, there wasn't a shower and restroom facility anywhere nearby available. Aside from that it was top notch. I would stay again. To get there, enter the main gate on Hwy 16, then make the first left, then an immediate first right down to the water front, then turn left and follow the shoreline for about 2 miles. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Military / National Guard ONLY. Must enter at main gate on Rt. 16 - don't believe guidance from GPS to go to other gates. Many sites spread out over three camp grounds overlooking lake. Many nicely shaded sites. Many boaters were at camp. "New" camp ground is best with nice concrete pads and shade. Difficult to reserve by phone - office closed on weekends and after 16:00. About 1/2 way between Jacksonville and Gainesville. Out in the country and quiet. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.
