We stayed here 2 nights on our way to central Florida, and have stayed here within the past year. The park has nicely landscaped paved sites and excellent utility hookups. Restrooms, showers, office facilities, dog run - all are first rate. Our only complaint was we do wish that "newly paved" sites meant level sites! Each time, we have had to use numerous leveling blocks to get our motorhome properly situated. The park is located across Hwy 98 from a lovely 2-3 mile stretch of beach. We would certainly stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This RV park is pretty with lots of palm trees and landscaping. The Wi-Fi is exceptional for an RV park. The beach is across the street from the park. It is a very busy highway. There are much more scenic beaches further west. This one is rather narrow and had a lot of seaweed. The two main faults we have are the traffic noise and the tightness of the interior roads and sites. We narrowly missed taking out some small bushes trying to turn into the site. We had to maneuver our 40 foot motorhome several times to get it situated so that all the slides would extend without hitting a tree. We thought we were done but discovered that the tow vehicle wouldn't fit anywhere. We had to move the motorhome as far back as possible and then park the tow vehicle sideways in front. It was still barely out of the road. Later as I read the brochure, there was one line indicating that you should move your RV as far back as possible. They should emphasize this when you check in! We actually witnessed a long fifth wheel run into the front of a motorhome that was jutting slightly out into the interior road. The damages were fairly small but the point is that the roads and sites are extremely tight for larger rigs. I think they are well overpriced. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Destination park across the road from the sugar white sand beach of the gulf. Well marked access off highway just west of town. Very friendly office staff. Good asphalt interior roads with level concrete level sites. Sites are tight with limited room to maneuver for big rigs. Lots of big rigs in the park and they all seem to manage entry and exit. Trash picked up at your site twice a day. Lots of room for slides with excellent landscaping and palm trees between the sites. Utilities conveniently located and worked properly with good 50 amp service. Picnic table at each site. Good free Wi-Fi. Strong Verizon data and cell phone signal. Good cable TV stations. Clean modern showers and laundry rooms. Very quiet with no train, plane or traffic noise. Good Destination Park to enjoy the gulf coast. Fresh sea food is everywhere. Very scenic with a view of the gulf. Nice store and kid play equipment and nice pool and rec room. Close to small super markets and hardware stores. Would return and stay longer. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice park. Sites are pretty tight, but very well done and concrete. Nice pool and rec room. Beach is a short walk across the street. Good places to eat nearby. Mainly snowbirds in the winter. Seem to have a lot of activities. A little hard getting into and out of our site, but we managed. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here about 5 years ago and were amazed at the difference. Lots of upgrades. Nice concrete pads with great landscaping. Fenced dog park. Excellent wi-fi and cable. Good laundry. Only downsides were that the pads weren't level and took a lot to get level. Seems that if you are going to pour concrete pads you should make them near level. Our site had a sewer connection that was uphill. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Rate reflects monthly charge. One of the best parks in which we have ever stayed. Beautifully landscaped & maintained, meticulously clean, friendly & helpful staff, a view of the Gulf from each site – all concrete, steps from a lovely white sand dog friendly beach, an off leash dog enclosure in the back of the park and dog waste bags provided in several areas of the park. Not a lot to do in the area, but if you’re a nature lover be sure to visit the barrier islands, the nearby state parks and the St. Mark’s Wildlife Refuge. The WW II Museum in Carrabelle has interesting exhibits for history buffs, as do the several lighthouses in the area and the San Marcos de Apalache Fort in St. Marks. Restaurant food in the area is mediocre at best, and the one grocery in Carrabelle carries only the basics. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Very nice resort park. We stayed for a week. Staff are friendly and helpful. Easy access. Best wi-fi connectivity we have had in the last 20 stays at RV parks. Only downside is that if you don't like to sit around, or fish, there isn't much to do nearby. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We spent the holidays here Thanksgiving through Christmas. The park provided the main course for both meals, and guests provided side dishes and desserts which was a wonderful experience. The park is well maintained, peaceful, and our dogs loved the beach. The park managers are friendly and helpful. If fishing, shelling, crabbing, eating fresh oysters and relaxing is what you are looking for this is the place to visit. The forgotten coast of Florida is a delight to explore and a highlight of last years camping experience. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice RV park. Very friendly staff and management. We had a lot facing the gulf with great views. To get to the beach you have to cross the highway, however traffic is not that heavy and it is a beautiful gulf beach with sugar white sand! The park facilities, pool, bathrooms were spotless. I look forward to our next stay at this beautiful park! We camped here in a Motorhome.

Super nice office staff and manager. Water pressure was low but bearable. Easy access to the park with our larger RV but turns are tight at the end of each row and there was very little room to park our tow vehicle at the sites. Biting flies were terrible in the area for the week we stayed. Rate reflects a week's stay. We would return. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is our first trip to the Carrabelle area and really enjoyed the laid back atmosphere without all the high rise condos lining the beaches. This is a great RV park with concrete slabs, picnic tables, and very nice landscaping. Great pool, good Wi-Fi signal, but you can pay extra for a faster connection. Fish cleaning station, fenced dog-run area. We had a pull-through site on the west side of the park and the slabs were a little short as we had to angle our truck in front of our fifth-wheel in order to get it out of the road. Also, the turns between the rows of sites on the west side are a little tight for the larger motor homes pulling a tow. The road around the sites on the east side of the park are much more big rig friendly. The back-in sites on the west side of the park seemed to be a little longer and we will request a back-in next trip. Just a short walk across the road to the beach which is dog friendly. The ladies at the check-in were very friendly and helpful, offering suggestions for area attractions and restaurants. Good shrimp and oysters at Captain Snook's in East Point, about 12 miles back to the West. Will definitely return to this park. Rate reflects Good Sam discount. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Wow what a difference from our last time here. They have paved the whole place now. Sites are still a little small. The wifi and cable are very good. The pool was our oasis. Staff friendly. The $42. off-season/weekday price will be what stops my return. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Great setting, directly across from the public beach providing a good, unobstructed view if you are close to the front. Nice pool. Concrete slots with enough outside space. Friendly help. Wi-Fi speedtest results were 35ms: .39Mbps down and .40Mbps up. It was nice and clean. They have several areas to walk your dog with doggy bag dispensers and cans for waste. They also have a nice fenced area for the dogs to run off lease. Everything is new looking and well maintained. Some pull-in (for motor home only), some back-in and some pull-through sites. The staff was very nice and helpful. They are across the highway from a public beach which was narrow and covered in seaweed. I would not want to swim there. The state needs to do a better job of maintaining it. We camped here in a Motorhome.

A great park with spacious concrete slabs, picnic tables, and nice landscaping. The improvements made to this park are relatively new (in the last 2 years) so the vegetation is still growing, but it's very nice. Excellent pool, strong wi-fi signal, strong water pressure. Nice touches: fish cleaning station, fenced dog-run area. Right across from public beach, so very handy to the water. Pet-friendly beach so our dogs enjoyed the sand. Speaking of dogs, be vigilant with flea control on your dogs as the word around the campground was that fleas are terrible there this year. They are bad everywhere this year, so not necessarily a strike against this campground. The person who checked us in was very friendly and helpful, offering suggestions for area attractions and so on. We highly recommend the seafood gumbo at 2 Al's cafe, a very short distance from the campground. For the best shrimp, hit Captain Snook's in East Point. Don't waste your time with the Fish Camp, where the food is OK and the service is lacking. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Great park directly across the street from Gulf of Mexico. Short walk to the beach. Power, cable and Wi-Fi i all worked well. Cable does not carry NBC or FOX. Did not try antenna. Pull through sites are only 50 feet long so these are not really big rig friendly. Very tight turns at the end of the roads, almost impossible with toad attached. Well maintained and landscaped park. Office staff friendly. Not much to do in the area besides the beach. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Arriving from the Pine Mountain Georgia RVC location, the sites at first felt a little cramped in comparison. But the pleasantries of our visit more than made up for the tighter spot. The white sand beach right across the road made for wonderful morning walks. The end of the beach offered mud flats for bird watching. Even though we didn't get to use it, the campground pool looked very inviting. Staff was helpful and friendly and the store well-kept. The park couldn't be more beautifully landscaped. The book exchange could use some help; it was small and tired. I liked being able to walk to a small restaurant (great fried shrimp). We kept busy visiting the sights the area had to offer. The only negative; getting out of our site at departure was tricky because of the tight quarters. We definitely needed the walkie-talkies. We stayed a week, and I didn't want to leave. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Nice stop along the coast, we were just looking for a place to break up the drive south, and glad we stayed a couple days. Easy in and out off 98. Nice resort, but at this time of the year, not much more to do other than walk on the beach-which was just fine with us. This RV park is right off Hwy 98, directly across from a 2-mile stretch of white sand beach. Sites are concrete and have been upgraded with new utilities. Each site is landscaped with palm trees, low plants and bark mulch. There is a small fenced dog run. (Dogs are allowed on this beach stretch, but not in many areas of Florida). Bath, showers, laundry, and game room are well-kept. There is a nice deck with tables by the pool. Staff was pleasant. Several good local restaurants are 2-3 miles away in Carrabelle. We stayed a week in January and came back for another 3 days on our way north. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Location, location, location! This park is directly across the street from beautiful Carrabelle Beach, where you can walk the length of about a mile on white sand! The park itself is extremely neat, beautiful, well laid out, and has wonderful amenities (game room with full kitchen, gorgeous pool and deck, showers/bathroom). There were two very small drawbacks. The laundry room stunk to high heaven, and the sites are pretty tight and short. (Our 36 foot fifth wheel took up so much of the concrete slab we had to park the truck across the end and on the landscape). Large Class A's seemed to fair better with their smaller toads. The park is located about half-way between St. George Island and state park and Bald Point State Park so there is plenty to get out and do. Tates Hell State Forest is within a few miles, and the hiking is very nice there. St. Joe is a good hour away. Staff was super nice and the neighbors were all friendly and considerate. We will absolutely return for an extended stay in the future! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Super clean park. All sites are nicely landscaped, cement, and wide. Paved streets. Nice clubhouse, pool table, TV, full kitchen. Bathrooms/showers very clean. Extremely quiet. Exceptional location across the road from beach, road is not busy to cross at any time. Staff are friendly and helpful and there is a small community garden - such a nice treat! Access for big rig is tight on the corners. Proceed slowly and safer in the daylight. Our lot was huge and flat,you need to choose carefully some are slanted up to 10 inches of fall. We stayed in a 40' motorhome + 12 ' cargo trailer, they were very accommodating in putting our trailer on a parking spot close to our motorhome. We camped here in a Motorhome.

A prime location for this RV Resort a few miles west of Carrabelle. I'm favoring a ten over a nine because a white sandy excellent beach is directly across the highway. There is a short access trail to the scenic shoreline. Well, maybe, the place is closer to an eight. Because there are a number of concrete pad sites, which are sloped, and the the access lanes have tight turns. Otherwise the place is well designed, well maintained, highly appealing, and very good views of the coast. We selected a site that was level. There is one site with an oak tree to qualify as a shade tree. The rest of the sites have good size palm trees. There is a sparkling clean, moderate size, pool. The Wi-Fi is steady and fast. There is a real functional weight machine in the small clubhouse. The big draw here is the beach and the quiet atmosphere. We took advantage of the stay 2 nights and get the third for free. We would of stayed longer had the staff been flexible with the weekly rate. We will return here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

It is a very nice location along the NW Florida Gulf Coast that is undiscovered. It is an immaculate facility, fair price, friendly and knowledgeable personnel. I highly recommend this RV park. This is a very nice clean RV park. The sites are a little tight (length wise) to get into for our 38 footer but not a problem. The width of the paved sites is generous with a wider spot for the picnic table. Plenty of room for all our "stuff". The space between the sites is ample and landscaped. The water pressure is a little low but adequate. I didn't use their Wi-Fi but used my own Verizon mobile Hotspot with good reception (G3). The cable TV is limited but we like to use the DirecTV dish any way. The beach is right across highway 98 from the RV park. There is not a lot of traffic on 98 so you can walk across or drive over and park at the roadside park next to the beach if you have a lot of beach gear. I don't know how crowded the public beach is in summer after school's out, or on the week-end as we stayed just on week days. The beach is very nice. We didn't use the pool or other amenities but they are nice. They have cabins too so we can bring "non-RVers" along with us. We will definitely return to this RV Park. Big rigs (over 40') be careful here. Not designed for 45' rigs. Park was not busy, so we were able to pull through into the space in front of us to get our rig straight. Many sites are not level. Several on our row had both curb side axles off the ground by several inches. WiFi weak and unreliable. Cable TV system has few channels worth watching, but your satellite will work fine since there is no shade. Park is fairly new and nicely landscaped. Be sure to eat at 2Als Cafe. Looks questionable outside, but food and service is great. If we return in our 45 footer, we will ask to look at sites before parking. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We loved this place. It is clean, offers a ton of amenities, and the ads are accurate. Everyone is friendly. There is a nice laundry with a screen porch so you don't have to sit in front of a washer while you're waiting for your clothes. The beach is literally across the road and is very walkable. The only drawback for some would be the lack of a nearby town for activities. For us, that was a plus. We plan to return next year and will probably stay for several weeks. It is that nice. More than a little out of the way, but that is part of the charm. It's quiet, the facilities are new (about a year old, though the park is much older) and they are working hard to make a good impression. It shows. Friendly staff. I would second all that the other reviewers said. The only thing I would add is the Wi-Fi is a bit weak. Not just slow - they warn you about that - it's weak, and I was only about 200 feet from the office, where one of their antennas is located. If you need reliable Internet, depend on your cellular data card. If you only need to occasionally check email, this is okay. But with all the other pluses, this is very minor. I would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a lovely park, with friendly and efficient staff and excellently maintained new facilities. Good Sam park. There are many pull through sites. Asphalt roads and concrete pads, each including a palm tree, patio and picnic table. There are spacious sites with good separation. There are gorgeous sunrises and sunsets, water views, white sand beach. We would come here again. The cable TV, a DirecTV product, has 25 channels (including Golf channel but not PBS) is somewhat awkward -- there is no way to tell what programs are playing. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Across from a really nice beach and it's dog friendly, and our dog really loves it. Close to great restaurants and St. George Island and not that far to Appalachacola. The park is under new ownership and has been totally rehabilitated. All roads and sites are paved. You would expect a Florida beach-side campground to have level sites, but probably at least 2/3 of the sites here have some slope. The landscaping is nice and new. A new clubhouse and pool facilities were recently completed as well as a large covered deck area, small playground and an enclosed dog exercise area. The staff is very friendly. Park maintenance is good. A nice Gulf of Mexico white sand beach is across the road from the RV park. Beach admission is free. There is no real shade in the park and there is some road noise during the day and early evening. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This campground was recommended by friends as a base from which to visit Apalachicola. We researched it and found Carrabelle's excellent website which gives an accurate depiction of the park. Be prepared for tight sites in a concrete jungle. However, the park, including the pool and pool deck, is immaculately clean. Wi-Fi was simple and fast. An excellent beach where dogs are allowed (in Florida no less?) is right across the road. Apalachicola is a delight to visit and St. George Island is also worth some time. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Found this place by accident, we travelled from El Paso to Orlando stopping every 5-6 hours. This was the best place we stayed. They know how to treat their guests. Staff was very friendly. Pool was open all night as was the game room and laundry. They have movie night. The new updates are very inviting, we had the best time at this park, and I understand that they have another one in Georgia. It was definitely worth the money. Also, you must eat at the 2 Als Restaurant down the beach, has awesome seafood (seamonster sand). We camped here in a Motorhome.

This campground is under heavy refurbishing. About half of the campground has been completed with paved streets and sites. The other half of the campground is under construction, but still has sand sites and sand streets. All sites, in the new and old sections, are very unlevel. We noticed that almost every RV had multiple blocks under their wheels to get level. Not sure why the owners would spend so much money on construction and would not take the extra small step to level the new concrete sites. So if you plan on staying here, make sure you bring some leveling equipment. The staff was very polite and friendly. CATV and Wi-Fi worked well, however CATV only has about 25 channels. A couple of good restaurants nearby, but this is not an area with an abundance of things to do. Looks like plenty of charter fishing for those so inclined. Park is now called Carrabelle Beach RV Resort. We had no problems with the utilities at our sandy pad full hookup site. Wi-Fi was average speed and reliability. The park was extremely quiet for being located right on the main highway. Our rating is down graded because we were there right in the middle of major reconstruction. There was a lot of noise from heavy equipment. This is the best park in the area and it should be even better after all the pads and roads are paved. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is the second visit this year to this campground and we're staying a month which reflects the daily rate of $20 ($600 a month). The beach is walking distance across the road and it's pet friendly (rare). The fishermen seem to have no problem catching fish. I walk the beach daily for exercise and it is beautiful. The park has palm trees. We are full timers and this is our favorite place so far but then we love the water. Down sides are as former posts have said. The pool isn't heated. The lots do go uphill and only those lots that have been sold are paved. The laundry room needs to be air conditioned (used to be but not working now). Hopefully the new owners will pave the roads. Don't miss this campground. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The restroom/shower was not air conditioned and the exhaust fans were not working. Because it was so hot in the restroom/shower, we were covered in sweat after our showers. We stayed on lot #42. It was not level and the curbside wheels on our trailer were off the ground in order to make our trailer level. Even the paved lots were not level. This campground was constructed on a hill and not much has been done to make it easy to have a level campground site. Woe to the overnight camper who tries to pull into a site late at night. It took me about two hours to level my trailer. The cost of this campground is higher than other campgrounds in the area. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This was our first visit to this part of Florida. We feel like we have found a hidden treasure. We have been here for nearly 3 weeks which included the 4th of July weekend. The campground is clean, sites are great andthe bathhouse is clean. The pool is clean and deck area is really nice. The park has a very nice recreation room with big screen tv, computer access, exercise equipment, pool table and foosball. The staff and owners are very friendly and helpful. This is a family and pet friendly campground. We will be back and highly recommend to anyone coming to this area. The resort is right across from the beach. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We were lucky enough to get one of the few cement pads. Most are mostly dirt with some but not much gravel. It is directly across Hiway 98 from the public beach. Hiway is very busy. We stayed here for 4 days. It was a very unpleasant stay, we wanted to leave early but was warned that it was a No Refund park. Our site was very unlevel, and the office at check-in was very discourteus and rude. The cable TV did not come in clear at all and it took the following day for someone to help us with it and then we only got 5 channels. The bathouses were dirty and there were cigarette butts all over the campground. The beach across the road was also very dirty and the water was like tea colored. We left and went to a campground on St George Island. We will be returning. We camped here in a Motorhome.

A nice park with great views and sounds of the Gulf. It is right across the street from a large, sparsely-populated, dog-friendly public beach. No big condo buildings here, so just about every RV site has a nice view of the Gulf. The park has 2 sections-- the Phase 1 section are lots for sale or for long-term rental (1 week or more) and many are leveled with concrete pads and added palm trees and grass. The Phase 2 section are short-term rental sites that have gravel pads (most are level, but some are not). The bathhouse, clubhouse, and pool are newer and very nice. The only minor complaint is baths & pool are not heated. The cable TV & WiFi work great. There is a nice laundry room and relaxing clubhouse with a screened in porch. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

The nightly rate is because we stayed a month. We had been here a couple of years ago for only a week but love the beach across the road. You can walk forever and feel like you have the beach to yourself. W-Fi was good and people very friendly. Sites were adequate for our 40-footer and the driveways took some maneuvering, but if you follow the CG map for getting in and out you'll have no problem. Not much in town, but there were a few decent restaurants and a good IGA for food. Apalachicola, the oyster capital, is only 20-some miles away and St. George Island is worth a visit. We found this to be one of the nicest most relaxing parks that we have been to. The people there are very nice and friendly and go the extra mile to make sure your stay goes well. We had a beautiful concrete site that you could look out the window and see the ocean, with full hookups and plenty of room for out 39 ft motor home and car. The beach is across the road from the park but is an easy walk over and if you don't want to walk with small children there is a nice public area right across the street with bathrooms and picnic tables that you can use for free. The beautiful white sand beach is absolutely gorgeous and we spent hours walking, shelling and fishing there. There are several nice restaurants and don't miss the Fisherman's Wife's shrimp Hogies. We were there for 2 full weeks and really hated to leave then. If you are looking for peace and quiet and a great place to chill out this is it. We can't wait to go back! The nightly rates have almost doubled since last year. The restrooms were not cared for as frequently as needed. Sand was on the floor and paper towels holders were empty. This campground charges five-star rates, but it falls short. The view is beautiful and the pool is great. The sites need to be leveled. I expect full paved lots and patios for these site rates. This campground is very nice and offers a view of the gulf. They were putting in many upgrades/improvements during the 3 days we stayed there. The only drawback was crossing Rt. 98 (very busy road) to access the beach across the street (no crosswalk). The staff is helpful, the pool area looks new, and WiFi connection good. This park could be great, the location is pristine. The problem is, the management wants to sell sites to RVers, not rent them. The sites as positioned are short, 90 degrees to the drivways and the hookups are not thought out for RVs. The sites are also very uneven and rutted, I needed 3.5 inches on one side to level the camper. We couldn't use the area in front of our door because it was so narrow and sloped down to the next site. On the plus side, the beach across the road is beautiful and unspoiled. I would use the park again if I was in the area but wouldn't go there as a destination park. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a dog friendly beach. It is nice to have a place for the dog in the sand. Nice easy walk to the beach. We used a wagon to carry stuff to the beach (we travel heavy!). Roads in park are dirt/gravel, some pot holes after afternoon showers. Site approach tight, but doable, in big rigs. Park staff friendly. Owner came by an introduced himself, asked how he could improve. New side is better looking. They are currently putting concrete pads on some sites. Nice pool, but water cloudy. Nice camp store if you left something at home or need to restock. Because the beach is behind Dog Island, there are no waves (could be good or bad, depending on your likes), but we were not aware until we arrived. We will come back to this park in the future. This park is a real mixed bag. Cable is great, Wi-Fi works well and the club house is very nicely furnished - pool table, card tables, TV, computer, kitchen etc. They have a super store on site. On the other hand, they have a nice pool, but not heated - early March and too cold to use. Some sites contained permanent trash trailers and other sites were occupied by transient workers. The location is great, right across the street from a beautiful beach. I think the owners have to decide what they want their park to be - an park for RV travelers who want good facilities and will pay for them or transient worker park who just want a place to plunk their trailer. We used this campground as a base for exploring the area. There's a public beach across the road from the campground. Road wasn't too busy in winter. Rec room just remodeled - very nice with pool table, public computer, and kitchen. Laundry was very clean. Lady at front desk was very helpful and cheerful, made you feel welcome to be there. They have a great cable selection, wireless ok and the laundry is great. The office staff were very friendly. But we were not very happy here. The sites are very narrow and short, with poor gravel roads. The east side seems to be for the motor homes and the west for old permanents. The pool was cloudy. The very nice laundry was ruined by all the holes in screens letting in the yellow fly's. The mower guy stirred up UNBELIEVABLE amounts of dust and I had to move the truck to keep it from being covered. Biting yellow fly's are always on the attack and they don't sting, they take meat.. Very nice park across Hwy 98 from the ocean, not a far walk. At first we had a site assigned in old section that was terrible and trashy seasonals on that side. We asked to be moved to the new side site 89 which was perfect. Helpful staff, beautiful pool. Very windy, must watch awning, dogs welcome in park and on beach which is a real plus for us. We found fresh seafood in town to bring back and cook. Restaurant close by which was good. Very laid back not much to do for kids but if you only want to fish, beach it or just lay around and plan your next meal, it is the place for you. We will go back if we are looking for a gulf coast location especially because of the pets welcome sign. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice camp ground near the beach. Host very friendly. Nice store. Wished at least the camp ground roads were paved. All of the road dirt wound up on your camp site and camper. Beach was nice and calm but would be boring for those used to ocean surfs because the beach is on the intercoastal water way. The surf is like what you would expect at a lake, not for the adventurous beach goer. Lots of campers with kids which my children befriended. Price included 6 of us (four kids), and a pet. The price is all you pay for full hookup and all camp ground services. You can see some of the ocean water from your camper. Excellent value for the money. Will definitely come again. The pool was nice. The beach is right across the street. The children enjoyed the club house with two pool tables, an air hockey table, a TV and a computer connected to the internet. There were retired folks playing dominos at a table. It could use some sound absorption materials on the walls though, it was quite noisy in the club house. I made reservations well in advance and asked for a specific site next to the bath house and pool since we had four children in a pop up. We arrived after driving all night to find that they had moved us to a site several rows away. I had to argue with the attendant for a while to get the empty site next our original site. The Bath house was nice, but a toilet was leaking and left standing water in the middle of the floor for a couple days. My sister mentioned it to an employee. The employee acted as if it was no big deal and wasn't going to do anything about it, but after that the situation did seem to improve. The water stopped while ladies where in the shower. I went to the office within a minute there was a guy working on it to turn it back on. The sites are all mainly dirt, and feel like a parking lot. The rate was $30/night for two adults plus $3/per child. Although we would wish for something better. This was probably the best campground in the area for the price. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

We stayed here for a week in January. The weather was warm enough to sit by the pool and walk the beach. There is a little restaurant you can walk to 1/2 mile east that serves a wonderful breakfast. The campground is right across Rte 98 from public beach. The terrain slopes slightly uphill so all sites have a view of the water. This campground is in a great location to explore Carrabelle, St George Island and Appalachicola. This part of Florida suffered damage from Hurricane Dennis last summer, but most places have been repaired. The state park at St George Island is still buried in sand. We will definitely come back again this year when the weather is warmer. We camped here in a Motorhome.

New owners have upgraded this park alot! The Gulf Coast beach is about 50 yards from the campground with a swimming beach. Great views! There is a nice little store where the office is. The rate quoted is a group rate. We stayed here for 2 weeks with several others (this was our 3rd year). We come here to meet up with friends and relax. There is not much to do close by except on St. George island and in Apalachicola which are about 30 miles away. Campground is OK with exceptional view of the Gulf. But the sites are all gravel which tracks into the camper and the Wi-Fi is hit or miss; sometimes it works fine and sometimes it is impossible to get on (a function of bandwidth and too many people trying to access the internet). Stayed 2 weeks, weekly rate shown. Tricky to rate this park. It has the most gorgeous location we've ever been in, right on the ocean. Very nice lady checked us in. Good grocery 4 miles away in Carrabelle. About 1/2 mile of beach is open for walking. Nothing to do in area without driving at least 20 to 30 miles. Adults only which is what we prefer. On the negative side, the sites are very close together, and if you're not on the ocean row or the first row back all you can see is your neighbor's camper. The roads and sites are crushed limestone and sand which tracks into campers. The laundry has only three washers and dryers with hardly enough room to turn around between them. Had to go to the one laundromat in Carrabelle twice (expensive) because the laundry was constantly occupied. Wifi was dreadful; great the first few days but never able to get on after that. Talked to other campers who had the same problem so it wasn't just us. We would go back if we were in the area again provided we could get one of the front spots and the wifi is fixed. Truly a hidden gem. Our full hookup campsite was on the water with an incredible view. Definitely worth the extra money for a waterfront site. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Easy pull in off Hwy 98 for our Class A towing a car. Very friendly lady in the office and very helpful. Gave us a waterfront site which meant we had to unhook the car. Still can't believe we are camped nose in to the gulf with the water 15 feet from us, for a measly $33. Sand pads with FHU. TV works with more channels than you can shake a stick at, and the WiFi comes and goes. Planned to stay for one night and are still here after 3 nights. Great little campground. We'll be back. This is a simple campground that works amazingly well. There are no real pads or roads. Everything sits on compressed sand and gravel. When it is dry outside, the tracking of dirt is minimal. The view of the gulf is phenomenal; there are even waterfront sites! There is a small beach and a small pier in front of the campground. Wi-Fi and cable were excellent. Staff was exceptionally friendly and guests were pleasant and considerate. The building isn't much, but it seems to suffice. Watching nature from the from windshield was fantastic. We love this park! Came to visit the week of Thanksgiving for a week. Had a great site on the water and great Thanksgiving dinner. (Pot luck CG suppled turkeys and ham). Pros: Large sites right on the water with full hookups (hard to find waterfront sites with sewer in Florida). Very friendly and accommodating hosts. Fishing pier for those who want to fish. Also, dog friendly!!! Dogs are welcome to swim or roust about on the beach and EVERYONE picks up after their pets! CONS: Sand/shell sites. But, everything else cancels this out. We are planning a trip west next year but have already made reservations to spend another week here in March. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I will start by raving about this unique and wonderful park right on the Gulf. The owners were wonderful, helpful and very friendly. The accomodations were great, the view was fantastic. We actually hated to leave afer 3 days but had to keep on our schedule. We have been traveling for 3 months so far and this was the best park we have been in. Not fancy or anything, but extremely comfortable and sitting and watching the water was wonderful. They even have a pier to fish off of and my little dogs loved their walks along the beach every day. The park is packed sand and gravel with some very, very tall trees. Sites are adequate for big rigs, but the interior sites can feel a little cramped. The real jewel are the back in sites along the water and a couple of sites that face the water, otherwise the park is nothing special. Wi-Fi and cable are free and are outstanding. Staff is very friendly. Satellite reception can be questionable from the interior sites due to the trees. Not much in the area but if you want to relax in your RV near the water this park is outstanding for this and reasonably priced for being on the water. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed in mid July on our way around the FL Panhandle and liked it so much that we came back for a few days on our way home. One of the few places you can stay that is really right on the edge of the water. Gorgeous sunsets. Nice long pier and blue crabs. We stayed here for a week about seven years ago and returned again for another week. Not much changed over that time except a few more permanent residents. Still no children allowed which we appreciate, but it was good of the owners to relax that rule for a night to a couple with a baby to escape TS Beryl. Our intent was to stay a week and relax. We had to leave a night early when a fire broke out alongside US 98 about 3/4 mile west of the campground. The smoke got too bad for us and we had to leave a night earlier to get away from the roadside fire/smoke. We had a good pull-through even though we were closer to US 98 than the ocean. It's quiet park and a great location to relax and enjoy nature and a non-tourist crazy area. No theme parks and plenty great seafood restaurants. We will be back when we pass this way again. Nice setting on the Gulf, but sites are WAY too tight! Neighbor's sewer right next to your picnic table. Wi-Fi is not sufficient for basic e-mail, and could not use for the entire week. No breakers for electric. Just plug in, and that makes me nervous. We don't really need new and sparkling, but this place is in need of some remodeling; everything is just old. Dryers in laundry did not get the job done in one cycle. Managers are nice, but seem to spend a lot of time raking rocks. Camped here before, but probably will not return--just too tight! Very nice, clean and friendly park. Right on the Gulf of Mexico. Not fortunate enough to get site looking right at beach, but were in second row, so had excellent view of water. We stayed two weeks at HoHum and found it to be a very friendly place. It is a very well maintained place. Their Wi-Fi was damaged by lightning,so they put up a temporary system so campers wouldn't be without until the system is repaired. That sort of concern is appreciated. We enjoyed it very much. This is a gorgeous location literally on the beach. Get an oceanfront site if you can. There is a nice dock that extends into the ocean, with a beautiful view, as well as places to set up chairs on the beach. The sites are a little too close together, but the clean restrooms and showers and laundry offset that. Friendly staff, tall palm trees dot the parking lot. Rate I quoted was weekly rate (per night) for a site that is not on the water. Sites are meticulously raked and cleaned almost daily. Staff very friendly and helpful. There really isn't much of a beach, but being this close to the water is great. Fishing from the pier is allowed, but non productive while we were here. Sites are flat, easy to get in and out of (the ones by the water are a little closer together) hook-ups easy to use. Area called the Forgotten Coast for a reason, things are relaxed, laid back, no hustle and bustle of some of the more touristy areas around. Laundry, bathrooms, rec room and office are in an older building that could use some upgrading. We enjoyed our stay here and will probably come back again. We stayed for two weeks. This is a no frills, small and older park which is well taken care of. You can get spots looking right at the ocean which is beautiful. The only thing I was disappointed with is that there is really no beach. You can also fish off the pier. The people in the office went out of their way to be accommodating and were so friendly. Ho-Hum is a small, quiet adult (no kids allowed) RV park right on the water. Waterfront sites a little tight. Off water sites are larger. Workers and long term residents are extremely friendly. Many of those staying here are fishing enthusiasts. Surprising wildlife activity at/near the park. We were here during a butterfly migration, and saw an alligator, a black bear, several eagles, and dolphins. Not much activity in surrounding area. A relaxing place to visit. We came to HoHum for a week and signed up to come back for a month. The first week we were on the water. Our month turned into 3 months. We were in a nice shaded spot for that time. We liked the campground because it gave us access to great fishing. This is an adult park. The hosts were excellent and the best we have met while RVing. Our visit to Ho-Hum was without reservations, so the only available site was a very narrow one which did not allow us to open slides on both sides of our rig. While the park is on the Gulf, just 16 sites are waterfront. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The laundry room was clean and efficient and the Wi-Fi worked well from our site. Ho-Hum was a great place to relax from our travels, and there is a narrow fishing pier that seems to be popular with guests. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This might be my favorite campground anywhere. It's casual, right smack on the beach, and has the nicest people working and staying here. The wi-fi is excellent, too. Definitely pay the extra fee for an oceanfront site. Otherwise, you are just on a gravel parking lot. Staff was friendly. Wi-Fi was very poor on waterfront, but there was a station to use in rec room; also a Dell computer with good internet. This park is right on the road but we didn't hear any noise. Another camper told us that the campground had updated the electrical system since last year; we had no problem with any utilities. We stayed here because of the proximity to Cape San Blas, and the fact that the beaches in Gulf county are dog-friendly. It was great to take our two small dogs for walks on the beach, just be aware that the beach is not as large, nor as nice as what you might find farther West in the panhandle. The sites are pretty basic: just a level place to park with full hookups. No picnic table. All crushed shells / sand. Many folks talked about the great Wi-Fi. I can't concur, as our connection dropped often. The only real reliable Wi-Fi was in their little lobby / lounge area. Nice and handy fishing pier. It's a decent place to stay for what you pay, however the lack of a picnic table and a few other amenities that you might typically find in other campgrounds keeps me from giving it a higher score. A very friendly, open, welcoming place far away from the Condos and bright lights. Primarily for adults because it lacks the features most kids would want (pool, amusement rides, loud parties, etc.). Very pet/dog friendly, featuring long walks down secluded beaches removed of houses, bars, etc. Saw a Bald Eagle, twice! Maintained, wide unpaved (crushed oyster shells) roads combined with decently spaced sites provide ample privacy. This is a quiet and relaxed park with friendly hosts. It is easy on-off the road (US-98) and we had a pull-through site but others were backed in to the ocean, super for everyone. The internet was great, fast and no logoffs and I used it a lot. The entire place was gravel, stones and shells: no pads and no paved roads. That allowed our dog to track in a little dirt but hey, that's OK because you're right on the Gulf and the beach was super nice. There is a fishing pier (free). This is a "Ma and Pa" kind of place and that's fine with me. If in the area, I'd seek out this park again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is not a fancy park, but it does have its perk. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets, really fast Wi-Fi, great 5 bars cell phone, plus a full range of TV channels. Our dog loved walking on the beach front, plus the park is full of friendly folks. Easy to pull in, plenty of parking for your car. Nice, clean park. But remember to bring your small picnic table. Level areas, quick set up with all the hookups nice and close. Nice fishing dock. Away from the downtown area. Noticed the propane truck makes calls to the park. Nice and quiet at night. We were attracted to this park because of the photo's on their website and it stated it is on the beach, and on the Gulf Of Mexico. Actually, they are on the Bay of Apalachicola (brackish water) & what they call a beach is mud and grass. It is not a beach that you can go swimming or enjoy. The view is good though. This park is primarily a fishing park. They have mostly 30 amp connections and limited 50 amp. with gravel and sand sites. Being beach people we would not camp here again. The hosts were friendly and mentioned that she should have told us about the beach on check-in. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here for the location, on the Gulf, and because there aren't a lot of choices in this part of the world. Having looked at other RV Parks in the area this is probably the best one. This area is referred to as Florida's Forgotten Coast -- it's quiet and not as developed as the congested beaches west of here. But beware, restaurant choices are slim. Sites are gravel, fairly level, and long enough for any rig. Being close to the Gulf means wind and blowing sand and dust at times. Hosts are very friendly and helpful. There are a few trees that can interfere with satellite service on some sites. There's a dock and good fishing has been reported. Overall, we'll stay here again We camped here in a Motorhome.

We really liked this campground. Not big nor fancy but had everything we needed and a pretty nice view too and more importantly everyone was nice. I dislocated my shoulder when we arrived there and they even offered to take me to hospital in Apalachicola which was 40 minutes away. Nightly rate is based on the weekly rate. A great park if you get a gulf-front site. 15-20 sites are gulf-front pull-ins, the rest are back from the beach and do not have gulf views. WiFi is superb; Cable pretty good; hosts friendly; small sandy beach with shallow water, fishing pier. Not much else to do, but this is a great place to relax, read, enjoy the Gulf. Morning sun coming in through the windshield warmed up the MH, but might be a drawback in the summer. Only major con is the noise from Hwy 98 running alongside the CG. We stayed here for a few days in Dec 08 and liked it so much we decided to return for a week in Feb 09. Very helpful and friendly staff (including a resident "fix it guy" who helped us reconnect our mis-installed converter boxes so the cable would work). Very dog-friendly - and how nice to walk just a few steps onto a lovely beach that goes on forever. We opted for the waterfront sites, where you are about 20' from the water line - spectacular views. It's close to Carrabelle, interesting nature sites in Tate's Hell State Forest and, a bit farther, wonderful historic Apalachicola. A great, restful, lovely place to settle in. The nightly rate is with Good Sam discount. They had unpaved roads, no concrete pads, and electric and water connections were not suitable for us. They had to loan us an extension to convert our 50amp plug to a 30amp and when we turned it own it blew our circuit breaker so we left. To their credit they did give us a full refund. We had stayed at this park this past summer, so we decided to make a return trip and got a reservation for a month's stay over the phone. We then drove 3 days and 1200 miles only to find out that they DO NOT accept credit cards for monthly stays. I also requested a site that is advertised for $325 and mysteriously, the price was bumped to $375 when we arrived. No explanation other than they will take a "Debit" card but no "Credit Card." They will take a credit card for daily, and weekly, but NOT for a monthly stay. 5:00 PM after 3 days of driving and I get turned away. That's okay. Turns out that there are other RV parks that will accept Visa cards for monthly rates. Just thought I'd warn others that might make the same mistake as we did. WE DID NOT STAY AT THIS PARK. This is a famous old campground in the Panhandle of Florida. It is old, but very well maintained. We had a great waterfront site and could see the water all out of our windshield. The interior roads were a little tight. Restrooms were clean. They had internet access (free WiFi) which was fairly fast. It is located within 5 minutes of Carrabelle and 20 minutes of Apalachicola. Great restaurants are found in the latter. The whole area is still suffering from the affects of the hurricanes and much of the beach front housing is for sale. I believe the hurricanes affected the oyster beds and the area has a depressed feel. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a great campground to explore the surrounding area. The beach front sites are wide, and the hookups can be accessed from either side. This makes it handy for motorhomes to pull-in facing forward for great Gulf of Mexico views, while 5th wheels and TTs can back-in for rear window views. The beach front sites are $3/night extra, which is still a bargain considering the "on the beach location". The pull through sites were close and tightly packed. From what I could observe, only 30 amp hookups are available. However, free cable and wifi are included in the price and they worked great. Shopping is the major drawback to this RV Park. Day-to-day staples can be purchased at the local IGA and Dollar General in the near-by town of Carrabelle. Fast Food and general merchandise shopping will require extra fuel to locate. The Wukulla Springs State Park is a must attraction. 1950's Tarzan movies and the "Creature from the Black Lagoon" were filmed there as well as other movies. Daily boat cruises for $6.00/person are available for viewing Manatees, alligators and abundant birds. The staff were friendly and the grounds were clean and maintained. We got so tired of picking up other people's pet waste and cleaning it out of our children's shoes, that we gave some to the camp host. She asked the "owners" to pick up after their pet and to keep on a leash, but to no avail. Some beautiful scenery and you can get lost in the water and not realize your neighbor is close. Very friendly and clean. Will continue to camp here. They do a great job. Beautiful waterfront sites - wake up to the sun rising over the gulf. Friendly staff. Laundry, restrooms, showers, community room extremely clean. Camp is exactly as pictured on website. Nice long pier with fish cleaning station. Some seasonal campers but everything is kept clean and tidy. Pet friendly. Not much for children - this is really an adult RV park - nice and peaceful. Groceries and a few restaurants 4 miles down the road. We will return again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

They advertised a modem connection but took it out when they set up WiFi. Also grassy
sites are a misnomer. There are patches of grass but most sites are crushed gravel, crushed shell and dirt. You could use this campground with a family but there isn't much for kids to do. We liked it a lot and plan on returning in the future. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

I think this is mostly an adult park. The roads are gravel and rather tight but there are a lot of big rigs that stay here, ours was a 39 ft. motorhome. Sites are grass/dirt and level. Some sites are on the water. We have stayed here several times and would return if in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Not a bad park for the price. Quiet and picturesque setting near the water. Needs some minor maintenance. Price paid was Passport America rate which is good for full stay. Roomy sites. Wifi good except when Mediacom went out city wide. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The entrance and park road were impressive with the brick paving. The swimming pool looked very nice. The sites were nothing to get excited about. This may be because the sites are for sale and the new site owner can finish it the way they want. There were two park models but they had two entry doors in each one and I would assume they were renting out bedrooms. Dogs were not on a leash including the owner's dog. Unless you are there to fish there isn't much else else in Carrabelle. A better bet would be to stay around Apalachacola if you can. As previously stated Papa Joe's restaurant is excellent. St. George Island is also easily accessed from Apalachacola area. We stayed here on a Passport America rate. We won't stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

At first sight, this looks like a great campground. The owner is super friendly. The paving-stone road around the sites, looks very appealing. Don’t be fooled. When we checked in we stressed that we needed a site with good Wi-Fi. We were offered a choice of two sites where, we were told, previous RVers had reported good service. When we pulled up to the first site and I went back to unhook our tow car, I found the owner on his knees, trying to undo the cable to the car. Fortunately, I stopped him before he caused any damage, but I was shocked that he would do that. There was no Wi-Fi at the first site, or at the second site. He then suggested we try a grassy site next to the entry, where the router is located. We had to gingerly step around two piles of dog excrement (dogs are permitted to run loose) and after getting all set up, we realized we didn’t have any electricity. Fortunately, I have a control system that prevented my RV from connecting. When we analyzed the problem, we found that one side of the 50-amp service had only 84 volts. Owner’s response was: “I thought we got that fixed.” Over an hour later we finally got settled into a fourth site. We paid the Passport rate of $24. For the same price you can park at one of two nearby state parks and walk to nearby beaches. There’s a lovely swimming pool and hot tub, but both are ice cold. Half the campground has never been developed and a large swimming pool in the middle of the undeveloped area is now derelict. When you leave, be sure to drive out through the entrance. The exit has a bush sticking halfway into the driveway and if you don’t run over the curb and up onto the grass, you’ll scratch the side of your rig. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a very nice campground, that is well kept and maintained. The fishing is great, and the Managers are very nice. It was too cold to get in the pool, but it was very clean. We have a great view of the river and the boat traffic. The access roads are beautiful brick pavers. And if you're in the area, please drive the 23 miles to Apalachicola, and eat the best fried oysters I've ever put in my mouth, at Papa Joe's Oyster Bar and Grill next to Scipio Creek Marina on Market Street. No wonder this is a favorite of locals. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Despite a few flaws, we enjoyed our stay here on the island setting RV Resort. The best I could detect and after talking to the owner, this seems to be a temporary RV Park. The sites are actually lots, for sale or sold, and currently existing as RV sites to support an economic operation. There is one Park Model in place. The access roads are high cost cobblestone pavement. Unfortunately, the sites are not like the access roads. They consist of crushed packed limestone and not so level. A big rig may sink through the pad surface. There is just grass and soft sand between the sites. Some sites are spacious and some are not so spacious. Some sites have a table and some sites do not. My laptop revealed there is no Wi-Fi here or anywhere nearby. Verizon 3G worked just fine. There is a terrific view of the bay and of the river. There is no access to the bay unless one ventures into the surrounding reeds. Like wise for the river unless the dock is used. There is a giant under heated pool and a spa that was not operational. There is not much here to support a daily price tag of 48.00. We got the Passport America rate, now good seven days a week, and there is an extra charge for electric use. For a better price there is a much better RV Resort three miles west of Carrabelle. So long as the daily price remains high we will not return. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Stayed here in early April for 10 days, park is as described in the last several reviews. Great value and huge lot sizes in comparison to the other 2 in the area. Major downer are the no-see-ums. If there is no breeze then they come out of the saw grass which surrounds the area. Have to lather on deet. Limited internet signal. Only over the air TV which changes by the minute. Even drove 65 miles to get a Wingman for our new RV but that barely improved it. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This RV Park is similar to several other recent developments along the waterfront in Carrabelle. They all appear to be victims of the real estate crash several years ago. Each development, including this one, was originally intended to be deeded lots where individual owners would build a beach cottage. When the real estate market crashed and the developer was unable to sell the lots, this development installed RV utility stations in about half the sites and became an RV Park. Most of the other developments remain vacant or have only one or two homes built. The beautiful interior road is made of colorful brick pavers and there are two pools but only one is in use. Nice landscaping with palm trees along the frontage road but maintenance has been neglected. Pool maintenance has been neglected: paint is peeling off the sides of the pool and a lot of sand has accumulated on the bottom. The RV sites are gravel/sand with no improvement other that the utility station. There are no bathouses: only the restrooms at the pool. The power panels at each site have no ON/OFF switch that would allow you to shut off power when connecting and disconnecting your power cord. I had a 2 bar WiFi signal at my site but could not connect. I did not try to connect closer to the access point since I have my own air card. The interior road ends abruptly at the last site, leaving no room to pull past the last two sites and back into those sites. There is no cul-de-sac at the end of this road where one could turn around and face the correct direction and back into the last two sites. If you are assigned these two sites, you must back your RV about 100 yards down the road. But it is a wide road. There are no dumpsters: just three large garbage cans for 30 sites and each was full or overflowing. About one-third of the sites appear to be long term residents, possibly temporary workers. Two sites contain a mobile module with two units that appear to serve as small motel rooms for temporary workers. The rate is Passport America rate including tax. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

It is apparent this park was planned to be an exclusive park, but it appears the owners ran out of money before finished. They are now selling RV sites for permanent use. The pool and cook area are very nice. The only bathroom, located at the pool, has one toilet and a showerhead located with the toilet. The sites are gravel with no slabs or outdoor furniture. We could not sit outside due to the sand fleas. There were all active ant hills at our location. There is no cable TV. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This place has potential, but just too many things not right. Big campsites, but the no-see-ems, made it almost impossible to be outside. Beautiful pool, but unheated. Lovely hot tub, but not heated and no bubbles. Internet available, but not strong enough to reach camper and no place to sit and use it where it did work. Limited cell-phone and TV reception. One John and shower (per sex) for whole campground with a small 110 hot water tank for both. (very slow recovery). We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

It is located near several very good seafood restaurants, and we were able to purchase bushels of oysters which we could steam over the fire pits located only feet away from our coach. The sites were huge, and the price was very inexpensive. The owners were most accommodating. We enjoyed it so much we stayed for almost 2 weeks. We will return. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Passport America rate of $19 plus taxes. Tough to rate as it is so new. Sites are large and level, but landscaping is still needed. This area is very quiet this time of year, not much around at all. But it is a very nice setting. Verizon broadband was excellent. TV via bat wing had 7 PBS type stations, but one 40.1 did carry NBC programming for news. Basically this is a work in progress, so the ratings should trend up. We camped here in a Motorhome.

A wonderful campground! What a nice surprise to find this new, lovely, very clean campground! Very quiet with beautiful new amenities surrounded by marsh land. The brick paver roads throughout are beautiful! The new 2 story wooden observation deck, and a new 3 story still under construction, new eating shack with a hull of a sailboat as a bar, beautiful pool and deck with whirlpool, and bath house all made for a very enjoyable camping time. The owner is very kind and friendly and his wife is an AWESOME cook!!! We really enjoyed being at this campground and hope to one day return. We visited in mid-October. The rate cited is the Camp USA discount rate. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here in the middle of the BP oil spill, and the volunteers were using the marina as a staging area. I could easily have given this park a 10, if the grassy areas were kept mowed, and the marina wasn't occupied by all the oil workers equipment and boats. The park was in a great location for us, and we spent a morning over at St. George Island, and went swimming at one of the beaches. It was a 20 minute drive over to the island, and there is a lot of shops, and things to do, if you go. There was hardly anybody at the park, so it was very nice and quiet. We didn't see anybody to check us in, and the owner finally showed up the morning we were leaving, to ask for some money. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a brand new campground: it's quiet, has large sites, 50 amp electric, good water pressure, and sewer connections. Has a beautiful pool with cabana and deck for viewing the surrounding area, sunsets, etc. There is no laundry or bathhouse, but restrooms are available at the pool. There is no shade in the campground, but landscaping is not yet complete. Enjoyed our stay and definitely will return if we are back in this area. Passport America discount is honored. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a wonderful little park, with large sites, and a beautiful pool and hot tub. What is really refreshing is the location, down on the river and off the highway. The only noise is the river "traffic" and the birds. The night sky over the marsh is beautiful with no light infiltration. Due to its location on the river and marsh, there are those no seeums, so take bug spray. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Wow! Now this was our idea of a truly fantastic RV park. The owners are still in the process of a bit of construction, but spaces were large, level and most comfortable. The staff is very friendly and treat you like family, to the point of bending over backwards for you. Beautiful pool, and pool house. A lovely Tiki hut type building where the owners will clean and cook your daily catch. We attended a great oyster bake at the tiki hut during our stay. The owners definitely know how to cook seafood properly. Currently, the park appears to be more suitable for adults, not very much entertainment for children, except the pool. There is a 370 foot pier available for some serious fishing, or just to sit and watch all the boats go by. The park is not far from the small town of Carrabelle. East point, St. George Island and Apalachicola are also near by to visit. This is truly the best park we've had the pleasure to stay in a very long time. We will definitely return as often as possible. We camped here in a Motorhome.
