This is primarily a residential park with mostly modular homes. They are renting RV sites to help with income. That being said, it is a gated park, paved roads, and paved sites. Lots of room to walk or bike and close to Everglades. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Getting into the gate is tight, very narrow. They had to open up the gate more so we could get our 45 footer and tow vehicle through. 95% of the park are mobile homes. Ok place to stay if sightseeing around the Everglades. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is really just a large Mobile Home Park, that rents out the empty lots to RV's. We had a coupon from Sun RV Resorts promoting this park with a $99.00 weekly rate plus resort fee. The park attendant wasn't very friendly after seeing this promotion. This is not an age qualified park, lots of families. It's not a bad place to stay in the off season. It is already booked up for next winter. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We actually enjoyed this park; however, the owner is protective of his property. There are less then forty spaces in this tight urban park, and he does keep an eye on everyone and everything that goes on. Although he has a limitation on dog size, he did allow our border collie to stay. I'm glad she is well trained and was able to wait until we were outside the park as we were told to make sure of when she "did her thing." It was this monitoring that made it uncomfortable. My wife told me he must have passed by the laundromat three different times while our clothes went through the washers. I took over for the drying and didn't see him at all. All this being said the park is in great condition and looks classic Florida with the white wrought iron fence surrounding it. It is relatively near the police and fire departments so there is the sirens that you occasionally hear; however, I wouldn't say it's a lot more then most other urban parks. The area surrounding it, while urban, is well kept, and I never felt afraid while here. A well kept magnet school for the public school system is next door; however, other than recess I didn't hear the kids nor did I see them at all. This is strictly an older adult park. For us it was a good value that permitted us to explore the Keys and watch the annual Rodeo that is held next to the YMCA. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Needs work. Sites are small and lots of cats around. Many permanent sites and the residents are not friendly. The pool and pool furniture needs cleaning. No cable or Wi-Fi. It is close the the Everglades and Key Largo. Will not stay there again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The park is in need of care. The sites are small and hard to get into. There are a lot of permanent residents and the snow birds are not welcoming to strangers. The park has over 150 stray cats wondering around and if you like to listen to cats fighting at night, this is the place for you. Homestead itself is a very nice place and is close to a lot of attractions and a short drive to Key Largo and Everglades National park. We could only get 1 TV as cable has to be purchased for one month. We would check the other RV parks in the area prior to booking again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This park is an overrated "trailer park" with many "live ins" beyond winter. Stray cats running around everywhere, kids running around in streets and through sites. Sewer hookup was at least 8" off the ground making walking the hose necessary to drain. Getting into the site was tight in a 39' RV - had to have one person move their truck from in front of their trailer (permanent). Very disappointed in the park and the area was not very good either. We camped here in a Motorhome.
