Campground seems to be under new management. Staff is not very friendly. We called before going to the campground and asked the following questions. 1. Do they have a pool? They said that they just put in an olympic size pool. There was no pool there. 2. We asked about the marina and if they rented boats. They did not rent boats there but was told that they did. 3. We asked if they had wireless internet. We were told there was free wireless internet access onsite. Also on their internet site ( which is no longer up ) it states they have a grocery store. Well not entirely true, they do not even carry bread or milk. I traveled there in a 40' Holiday Rambler Diesel pusher. It took me forever to get to my site (narrow roads with cars and bikes parked all over it ). Then I had to back into a spot (we opted for beach front) and that took even longer. We travel to Florida all the time and this is the worst experience we have yet to encounter. If you complain to them they just say they are training new staff. There is wireless internet there but no one knew how to access it or where to get a card for user name and password. My wife and I were traveling with four kids. If we could have gotten our money back we would have left the first day and went on down to Sugarload KOA in Key west. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We knew before we arrived the pool was under repair. Not pet friendly: you must take dogs outside the park, then there is nothing there either. Internet $, does not work too well. Park is for park model/perm trailers. Entrance road very narrow with low hanging branches. Management is not surly but not happy with temporary MH, it's mostly transient people here, was not happy with that. Security people were not very friendly. All in all, the place is an overpriced poor facility. I would never stay here again, nor recommend to anyone else. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park is in the midst of being a condominium and an RV Park. There is constant construction everyday, except the weekend, and there are NO organized activities. Most things are in a poor state of repair except for the rec bldg which appears to be new. We planned on making this our base of operations for a month and are very disappointed. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Rate was $102, but only two digit box, so $99. Great sunset views. Best spot is 322. Ours nice, 324. Most of this park is permanent park model homes, few RV travelers. From our location to the pool required a car, most residents use golf carts to get around. This place is not dog friendly at all. There are signs: "Do not walk dogs on this property", when we inquired in the office about a dog run. They said we must take go outside the front gate, there is no place to walk dogs on premises. We came back from glass bottom boat ride at John Pennecamp (well worth it), we came to site, got the dog and back out front, out of park to walk him. About 5-10 minutes later, my wife comes back to the entrance gate but it will not open. She goes to the office where staff accused her of handing the card through the fence to get a second car into the park. When she explained she took the dog for a walk, the employee told her you are only allowed to go through the gate once in fifteen minutes, but she would let her in this time only. Wow! So, if you have a dog, find another campground. This place may be pet tolerant, but certainly not pet friendly. There are no waves here and no beach. No swimming access that I found, other than the pool. Pool nice sized, but full of children in the afternoon. Bugs at dusk are horrible. Bite bad, during the day, bugs were not a problem. We will not stay at this park again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The very first campground you see when going south on Highway 1, and enter Key Largo. We found it to be a good value for Florida in the height of the season. Grassy sites among large shade trees, very nice pool and spa area, and terrific people in the office. CG has its own large pond for fishing. The sewer hookup in our site was a little strange as it was elevated, but we saw lots of others that were okay. Even though close to the highway, it was fairly quiet because of all the trees. Would definitely stay here again -- especially since it was half the price of other campgrounds in the rest of the Florida Keys! We camped here in a Motorhome.

Price was tolerable for Florida Keys (extra $5 per child) but park shows its age and general lack of attention. Hook ups were awkward to unreachable in most sites (we walked nearly all sites to find one where sewer, water and electric hookups could be reached from our 2006 38' Itasca - not many candidates). Electric boxes are in state of partially completed upgrading. Pool and jacuzzi look newer and were nice, although lots of huge millipedes in spa and on pool deck. Bathrooms poorly kept up and one crawling with millipedes. Lots of racoons in trash bins. Location, people and open grassy, treed sites are the pros. Age, hook up funtional obsolescence and restroom-shower cleanliness were the cons. Would not stay there again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Park very well kept. Park personnel very friendly. Spaces are rather tight for 40' RV with slide outs. Recommend glass bottom boat tour as well as snorkeling tour. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a decent state park in the Keys but does need some serious updating. Many of the sites are narrow due to plant overgrowth. The right side of the campground as you pull in has a marsh area that borders the sites. A perfect breeding ground for no-see-ums and mosquito's. The boating in the area is great. Many small channels in the "Mangrove" trees for kayaks. One disgusting element was the boat launch. The recent freezing weather caused several fish to die. Not the fault of the campground, but no effort was made to remove any of the dead rotting fish from the launch area. I nearly slipped and fell while pulling the boat out on half a dead rotting fish. There are 2 washers and dryers available. Another camper in the park told us that this location will not be available next year as it is scheduled to be updated, including sewer hook ups. I hope so, it needs it. I would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for a night on the way south in the Keys. The campground is average, and the sites can be on the tight side, especially if you have slides on both sides of your rig. The sites are gravel and dirt. It is not as manicured as some of the state parks that we have stayed in the area. The visitor center is fantastic with several large aquariums displaying several kinds of local sea life. A boat launch and a rental dive boat is also available. Given the price for staying at most places in the Keys, this park was a steal. I would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

If you camp here you must stay on a canal lot! We stayed on the canal near the beach. At the opening of the canal are 2 small beach areas. The canal lot had a tiki hut/dock. We could jump off the dock and swim in the canal right at our site. The water was very clean. The view of the mangroves was nice. The lot also had a paved/tiled patio area. If we were not on the canal I don't think we would have enjoyed this campground nearly as much. Pay the extra money and get a site with a view! Our family enjoyed the pool as well. The campground is gated and locked at night. A nice security feature. If we would ever return to Key Largo we would stay here again, but only on a canal lot near the beach. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

2010 marks our 7th consecutive year in this campground. We started with a tent site; four years ago upgraded to an RV site. Very clean, quiet, friendly, gated campground. Nice pool. We can wheel our kayak from our site to the water, then paddle in the mangrove trails or to John Pennekamp SP, etc. We ride our bikes everywhere: the fish market, the grocery, library, restaurants, etc. We stay 4 weeks each year. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Nice park to use as a base for exploring the Keys and Miami area. The sites and roads were kind of tight, especially with the permanent trailers everywhere and the sheds, etc. they were allowed to have on their sites. Very convenient to shopping/dining. Good security. Hard to find the entrance in the dark, because the park entrance is off of the main road and there is no sign to direct you from the highway. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park is mostly permanent Trailers. There were only a few sites for Transients like us. There were a couple of permanent older buildings with full-time residents. Most sites were in the trees and very small we could not fit in. The site we had was on the water and had a great view. There were 3 other sites the same as ours. The manager was very friendly and helpful to find the correct site for us, as we could not fit in our original site. The laundry was cleaned after we mentioned it needed attention. Most of the people were friendly except the ones who spoke French. We extend our stay since the view and location of our new site was good. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a cozy little place away from the hustle and bustle of the bigger campgrounds. Has no pool but a nice little beach area, a nice shaded pavilion and there was always a nice breeze to keep you cool. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
