River Bend is our new favorite! We have traveled extensively and love this park. It is beautiful, the people were extremely friendly, and clubhouses are second to none. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Very nice facility. Nice size lots: 50x100. Lots of privacy. Nice lakes with pedestrian bridges. Almost as nice as Bella Terra in Foley, AL. Only negative is it's out in the sticks - Worth the 18 mile drive back to Fort Myers. We camped here in a Motorhome.

High-end resort. Many sites are individually owned. The sites are large, nicely finished concrete, well manicured landscaping between sites. Gated community, very friendly folks in newer, higher end motorhomes (only). Spotless everywhere. Not so close to anything (40 min drive to Ft. Myers beach). The town of Labelle, FL, is closest town with hardware, grocery, fast foods well as some sit down spots. A great spot to winter! We camped here in a Motorhome.

Great luxury adult Motorcoach Resort. Full amenities, only complaint is they charge for Wi-Fi, way tpo high. For what you pay per night, I would expect it for free! We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is the most wonderful RV Park on the east coast. The layout of the resort, the landscaping and the general maintenance are superb. The people here, many of whom are owners, are friendly and accommodating. The surrounding area is unique, with fresh produce, good restaurants and all the activities of Fort Meyers. This is an upscale resort with its own restaurant and marina on the river. The activities are unending from special dinners, outdoor model trains, sports, radio control boats and planes, and many other unique programs. There is a full-time social director. Next year we'll spend the entire winter. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Nice place, long drive to shopping, Wi-Fi is terrible for the price, not a good value. They said you might be able to buy a DSL connection in the future. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is no doubt one of the best parks anywhere. The park is beautiful and immaculately maintained. Streets are wide and paved, sites are about 50X100 feet, paved and landscaped. Our site was a pull in right on a lake so we had a view out the windshield. The people were very friendly, not caring whether we were renters or owners. There are activities galore here or you can just hang out and fish in one of the lakes. I agree with the other reviewers that the location is a drawback. It is about 20 minutes from the interstate and about 30-45 minutes from shopping and restaurants. The closest beach is probably Sanibel, which is over an hour away. We would certainly return her. The rate is based on the monthly rate. We camped here in a Motorhome.

You can't beat this park for friendly people - everyone waves and is willing to chat. The park seemed well run and was very clean and well maintained. Sites were large, but could have been a little more private. The lot owners that I spoke with preferred to keep the foliage trimmed so that the park didn't get too jungle-like, but I prefer the tropical feel, shade and privacy that lots of landscaping provides. My only other complaint was that the park is 15 miles from a grocery store or restaurant. You can't just run to the store for something - it's a trek. If you don't mind the isolation, this is a great park mainly because of all the friendly people and the many activities they have going all winter. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is one of the best parks we have ever stayed at. The park is well kept, this includes the grounds and the buildings. There is a River Club House, a Pool Club House and a Nature Center. They have a boat ramp at the River Club House. There is even a fenced in dog exercise area. During the season, they serve lunch at the River Club House Monday to Friday, and have a pancake breakfast on Saturday mornings. The people in the park, owners, staff and renters alike are top notch. We have been coming back here for 5 winters and enjoy our stay every time. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is an EXTREMELY nice class A park. Frankly it is one of the best we have visited with regard to all around facilities. Roomy sites, fabulous pool & hot tub, outstanding river access and some of the nicest grounds anywhere. The folks here are very, very friendly and warm. This is a park that is great for a weekend or several months. We will be back next year to spend several weeks. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is indeed the nicest park in Florida. The folks are friendly, and it is great for people and pets. We have been here for 3 months this winter and had a great time. There is also plenty to do. The only drawback to the park is its location, not a lot of shopping and site seeing close by. But it is a winner none the less, we will be back. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Absolutely one of the finest RV resorts anywhere. Immaculately clean, nicely landscaped. In our top 5 of all RV facilities we've stayed in, and we've stayed in hundreds. Highly recommended. On a scale of 1 to 10 this is a 12. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stay there as a weekend getaway as we are close. It is very high end and class A only over 27' and do not seem to have an age restriction. We are not owners and are always treated very well. The oversize pads are consistent with a choice of River, Lake Side, Creek Side or off water sites. The class A restriction is becoming common for this type of lot ownership RV parks as the sites do not become cluttered looking like some campgrounds with long term residents in travel trailers and favors. We would like to see this type of campground allowing the "Big C's" that are becoming popular. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park may be very nice but it is exclusively restricted to owners of Class A motorhomes over 28 feet. I would never stay at a park that practices this kind of elitism. It's one thing to reject motorhomes that are broken down or beat up, but to arbitrarily reject Class C motorhomes or Class A motorhomes that they deem "too short," even if those RVs are brand new strikes me as un-American in the original sense of the word. We stayed here two lovely months and were extremely satisfied with our stay. Great facility, excellent amenities. Wi-Fi was just being installed so it was spotty but getting better. Possibly the best RV facility we've stayed at in Florida. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Wonderful park. Luxury. Only drawback is distance from shopping, etc. It is a condo park. Some of the owners look down on the "renters", however, we rent for 3 months a year and have for the past 3 years. Doesn't bother us! We will be going back next year! We camped here in a Motorhome.

One of the prettiest resorts you will ever see. Everything is impeccably manicured. All sites have a standard storage building. Beautiful Royal Palms line the streets. Fantastic clubhouse and pool. Everything was spotless. Only negative is that it is a ways away from everything and quite warm during the summer months. Most lots are privately owned but seem to have ample rentals. Worth a stop just to see it. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Motorhome only 27' or longer. Resort sells sites with storage shed and large concrete pads sodded irrigated and landscaped restaurant on site in the river club house. Have lake front sites also. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Condo upscale motorcoach only over 27' with rentals available. Huge concrete pads with storage sheds. Boat Ramp and dockage on the Caloosahatchee River East of the first set of locks West of Lake Okeechobee. This motorcoach only campground is being built in phases so it is currently a work in progress. Tennis courts, smaller clubhouse, pool, spa, boat ramp, docks and over 1/3 or campsites are complete. Pretty much a long term park with new RV sites in a separate area. All utilities were good. Fort Myers the nearest good shopping. Town is mostly migrant workers working sugar cane and oranges. The owners were friendly as was the tenants in the park. We camped here in a Motorhome.

What a great place! The staff and residents (most of whom are long term people) are very friendly and welcoming, even to us short-term stayers. The grounds are well-kept and so are all of the buildings. All roads are paved. Great for bikers and walkers. Quiet at night and pleasant sounds during the day. A most enjoyable stay. First off this is a 55+ park. The last review covered everything I found as well. The park is more a long term type RV park to me, not great for an overnight stop over. The sites are 90 degrees to the road and hard to get in and out of and all back in. A 40 foot will fit on some sites but others will be a trick to get into. Site have no gravel, all grass and on the soft side, but you do have a cement pad to park next to. Power post are way back in sites, water and sewer dump was in correct place. You have a lot of room on each side. Cable TV was dead on our site and office will help you get a hookup by the month. Wi-Fi was super fast at 8.73 Mbps down and 2.62 Mbps up, no problems at all. People who live here full time were very nice and friendly. Staff was very nice at check in. Park was clean and I found no problems. We were here on a three night free stay so nightly rate was 1. Verizon cell and Mi-Fi card worked well here. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We are here on two specials. First, a 3 free days no strings attached, special from the Tampa RV Show. Second, a $99. "Stay and Play" for 4 days. This for a sales presentation for lots they are selling in their new section of the resort. A new section in a old park. The new section will be a HOA. Very clean and well maintained.. So far we had a very nice boat ride on the Caloosahatchie. We also had a two great lunches. All parts of the sales presentation were very, very nice. The older section is about 75% park models and 25% RVs. A couple of hundred sites. Very, very, very well maintained. Facilities: Lots are 50 X 60, back in sites, large for a private park. Site is very level grass. No picnic table. No shade. No privacy between sites. FHU w/50 amp electric. Double wide paved roads. Very well laid out. Very well lit at night. Some road noise. As stated above, sites are very large for a private park. Laundry: There is a very clean laundry. TV, Phone, WiFi: There is cable TV in the new sections, but not all lots are activated. We had a lot where it worked very well, about 60-70 channels. Over the air TV is good. Our Verizon cell phone worked very well. There is also WiFi which worked well. We had no problem with the WiFi as previous posts stated. Dog Friendly: It is dog friendly. No large open areas to walk or run your pet, but plenty of roads to walk around the park. Amenities: There is a heated pool. There are 2 club houses. Shuffle board courts. A small library. A exercise area. A small pond for fishing. Many, many scheduled activities. Location: South central Florida, a out 30 miles from downtown Fort Myers. About 1 mile from public boat launch on the Caloosahatie River, part of the intercoastal waterway. About 30 miles to Lake Okeechobee. Two groceries stores in town, about 1 mile to a Save a Lot and about 3 miles to a Winn Dixie. A few restaurants in town and 4 or 5 fast food places. Nearest hospital is in Fort Myers. Only mention this as we were here looking at lots and that is important to us if staying put for 5-6 months. Summary: Miles of roads in park to ride your bike or walk. Very very friendly staff and workers. Comment: We would stay here again if we could get some type of a discount. The $40 daily rate and $240 weekly is a little too high. Monthly is $930 + electric. We did get to stay 3 extra days for free because we were considering a lot. Forgot: they only accept cash or checks, no credit cards. This is a 55+ RV Resort. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

$31 rate reflects a month stay. ($930). Wi-Fi was one of the worst we've had. Half the time you can't connect the other half you're kicked off at any time and then try, try, try to log back on. Interior roads are paved and wide. Sites are average (cement patio with grass site). Lake has only small fish in it. Labelle is in the middle of no where. Walmart is about 28 miles away. Ft. Myers is about 45 minutes away. We drove all over the place to see anything. We won't be staying there again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

The owner answered our late call and allowed us to come to the camp around 8:30 p.m. Once we arrived, she was shocked that I had kids, and advised that it was a 55+ park. However, she let us stay under the condition we only stay a few nights. After that, we asked for another few nights and they allowed us, saying we were welcome anytime, as the kids were great. The park is very active and although everyone was older, we had fun. Not very convenient for Wal-Mart, etc., (about 30 minutes) and a bit out in the middle of nowhere, other than some fast food places, etc. Would stay here again if in the area. After logging on and going to leave a review for another RV Park, my husband said we should leave a review for all of the parks we have visited this year. We received a coupon for a couple of free nights at this park, and this by far was the nicest park we have visited. The park is family owned and operated. They were very helpful and nice. The comfort stations were very nice and very clean. The whole resort is very well taken care of. We stayed two weeks, and it was well worth every penny. Each site has pads which a lot of parks do not. The recreation hall was wonderful and there were a lot of activities for us to do if we wanted to. A very large and nice heated pool. Wi-fi is there and very easily accessed. Everyone was so nice and helpful. We do not have dogs ourselves, but this is a pet friendly park, and they make sure all of the pet droppings are picked up and disposed of. We loved this park and the people so much that we are going back next year for 3 months. You will not be disappointed if you visit this place. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Interesting place this Whisper Creek. It was so over priced ~ and they consider it a "resort" (I've often wondered what the criteria for "resort" is other than beauty being in the eye of the beholder. Anyway, this is a 55+ mobile home community where they have developed a new section they are hoping to sell, but in the meantime they "rent" these on a nightly basis. They offer no discounts and take no credit cards. On the plus side these sites are very large and grassy. The mobile home residents are friendly, the office staff is very helpful, although not particularly warm and pleasant. Whisper Creek was a good, productive stop to get things done ~ shopping and cleaning etc. but we wouldn't bother to return unless the price were in the area of $10./night. I think it is particularly misleading to indicate in anyway that this is an "RV Resort" . We camped here in a Motorhome.
