We stayed here and were very disappointed. It was not clean, had bad roads, not too friendly staff, lighting to sites was very poor. Would not stay again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We stopped here for one night to use the Passport America discount. The parks regular rate is $36, however, if you use the PA they raise the rate to $46 per night. We paid $26 which is not 50% off. I feel tricked! Would not stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

My $16 nightly rate reflects a $395 monthly proration. Also, if you are staying for a month, you have to pay your own electric and mine was $86 for Mid-Jan to mid-Feb. The staff in this park is extremely friendly and helpful. Couldn't ask for a nicer place to stay. They pick up trash daily at your site and the park strives to maintain an upscale appearance. Even though there are a lot of full timers in park models, travel trailer and fifth wheels, they make sure the park is clean and not junked-up. Older trailers were clean and freshly painted so you did not notice their age. There was nothing rundown or trashy in this park so you can tell management pays attention here. Shade is extremely limited in this park so I imagine it could be brutal in the summertime especially since there is no pool. There are several planned activities in the community room. This location is right in the middle of Ocala at I-75. There is every kind of store and restaurant nearby. I highly recommend this park. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Would never stay here even if they paid me. Went in to check on the rates and conditions. The lady in the office let me go look around the park. The campground is not for over nighters. The roads are to narrow for any kind of a motorhome over 30 feet to get through. There are a lot of rundown rigs in here. I have seen better conditions in some mountainous regions of Appalachia. The pool was open, but did not appear to be cleaned to frequently. There is a big sign up in front of this place showing FOR SALE. Would never consider staying here. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Mostly a trailer park that has a few spaces that they can put travelers in. Many of the long term units in very bad (rusted out) condition. Not big rig friendly. Narrow paved roads with grass spots. Most of the streets have low hanging branches and one had a tree in it that a rig of any size at all could not go around. Stayed over night, will not be back. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Price reflects PPA, I called at 3:30 to see if they had a Passport America pull through. She said no but we could pull through 2 sites. When we got there clerk said they had 20 PP sites and didn't honor after after 5. She didn't know what sites she had and sent someone out. They said no 50 amp left and gave us a 30 amp. Since I had to tell them that I had called and they had taken our name, we took a decent site. When we walked the park later we saw 50 amp (new) on opposite side of water and sewer , we didn't want any hookups but didn't go back to the office to move. 30 amp was weak could only use fridge, put the furnace and water heater on gas and turned the fridge off to use the microwave, voltage registered low on anything but fridge. Couldn't connect to Wi-Fi, took a long time then kept saying I had the wrong code. The cable was good except for 1 or 2 channels. Site was fairly level and OK for overnight but won't come back. Clerk was pleasant as well as man who showed us a site but office is very disorganized. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We have stayed in this park several times for up to 6 weeks. The sites are grass, level and large, accommodating up to a 40 footer well. It is a real bargain with a Passport discount. This is a great campground for an overnight stay, right off I-75.This park looks have improved over the years and it has a great atmosphere, and I always feel welcome. I love this park. We would make this a destination park if you want a quiet place with no planned activities. Though the park puts out a dinner for all on holidays. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a good little campground. Very nice people and the park is quite, even though it is very close to I-75. We only paid for Saturday night but we were invited to a free new years day dinner before we left on Sunday at 6 pm, they did not charge for a late check out. The only thing we thought was strange was that the restrooms and showers were locked, other than that it is a great little park. We will definably stay again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed in Ocala RV Camp Resort in January of 2013 and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. Should we find ourselves back in Ocala, we will certainly stay here again. Of note here are a few things, including that they have a few sites that are super long and wide. The people next to us had a trailer behind their motor home that was about 24 feet long, and they had plenty of room. The site was wide enough that they parked their car next to the RV and trailer. The down side to these long sites is that there is a fair amount of noise from a fenced area that I think must have a transformer behind it, because buzzed like crazy. Also, this resort is fairly close to the interstate too, so that creates a lot of noise. They do have a dog run too, although it is a little small. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stopped here for an overnight. The campground was quite crowded due to a group get together. The roads are narrow but we were able to maneuver with a 40' and tow. The owners are very nice and accommodating and went out of their way to see we were situated in order to pull out easily without disconnecting the tow. Many nice and friendly people and helpful staff. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This campground is an old KOA campground. It is run down. The road and sites are mostly dirt with a few rocks. They have a large pool which was refreshing but all the supporting facilities were run down and worn out. The wading pool was empty and had grass sprouting in it. The pet park was fenced in but the grass and weeds were high and we had to pull sticky things from our dogs fur when we left. Luckily, we planned just night here and it is convenient to the interstate. But we would look for a different place if we were staying in Ocala another time. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is a decent campground. The sites are grassy, and the roads are paved. There is a gate with a code to enter the park. I like that security feature. The pool looked great, but we were not able to swim in it due to the weather while we were there. There is a fenced area for dogs to play, and a dog bath. There was also a walking trail. There was no playground. Although the map showed an activity area with mini golf, there was no mini golf course there. It was still a well kept park, for a very reasonable rate. I would stay in this park again if I needed a place to stay while visiting family in the area. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here mainly because it was close to home, while we tried out our new travel trailer, a 24' Cougar Travel Trailer, with 1 slide. The park was quiet, with nice people, plenty of activities centering around the clubhouse, if you desire. This park was mainly a "snow bird" RV park, but lots of room for others and rally's, with large pull through sites; We stayed in the section where the park models were, but very roomy lot, with full hookups, cable, etc. When we had trouble with our cable hookup, the park "electronic engineer" came immediately and helped us. The front office was very nice, clean, all staff was friendly, and made you feel welcome, as soon as you walked in the door! We will surely stay here again, when in the area. The park is situated right off of CR 484, on a section of pasture land, that lends itself to all level lots! Ours was a grass lot, and fine for the 4 days we planned to be there. Clubhouse was very nice, and one night we joined in the activities - and played BINGO. Plus we met some really nice people, there, that we exchanged names with. Restrooms were large, with showers, etc., located inside of clubhouse; laundry was on opposite side of clubhouse, and nice, as well, although we never used it. The pool was filled with people, too, on one of the warmer days. Conveniences such as grocery stores, shopping are about 8 miles west of them, and also, they are very convenient to I-75, just few miles west of there. Attractions near by were Don Garlits Car Museum, and some horse ranches, in the surrounding areas, that sometimes offer tours. Overall, this was a great park, and we picked this particular one, mainly because of the good reviews we saw on this site! It really is very helpful to know about campgrounds before you decide to spend the night! Highly recommend this one! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Santos has great bike trails for FL and this campground is the most convenient to the trail head. Sites are spaced out and offer fire ring & picnic table. Some of the sites are treed too heavily for satellite to work easily or to put out your awnings. Water & electric at each site with dump station across from trash area. Lots of bikers come in on the weekend and the convenience station gets trashed and not cleaned until Monday afternoon. Some traffic noise from 441 and also a nearby train track. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Nice small State Park just off US 441 South of Ocala. Would rate higher, but sites are unlevel. Trees could be a problem for slides and, especially, awnings. Had to relocate to a different site due to not being able to level my 39' coach. Second site was slightly better. Sites are not as long as represented. They are on an angle to the road and the length measurements are taken on the "long" side of the sites. Also a lot of US 441 traffic noise and several loud trains. Did not really bother me, but it is loud and continuous. Park very clean and staff extremely friendly. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a very nice small park. I think that they were short on hosts for the campground, as it was full for the week end and the restrooms were a mess and not cleaned til Monday. There was a host site that was open, so I am thinking that was the trouble. The host Monday through Friday was great. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This park is one of the best maintained parks in the Florida park system. It is always clean with very friendly and helpful rangers and volunteers. In the park you can bicycle and rent canoes and Kayaks. There is a museum that is only open on the weekends. The downs are most spots are hard to get satellite but there are about 14 local stations on a good antenna. Not full hook up. Other than these two this is a 10+ park. Rate is for Florida Senior. We paid a senior rate; most Florida State Parks offer this. What a beautiful state park, very well kept, very clean, and kept that way at all times. Staff were very helpful and supportive in all ways. We rented a canoe and traveled the Silver River, saw a lot of wildlife, also alligators. Have nice hike and biking trails, Museum (which is only open on week ends) and an old Florida area with a church, homes, school, etc. Close to shopping and just around the corner from Silver Springs and Wild Waters water park. We will go back again for sure. Saw quite a few deers and other wildlife in the park. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park is part of the Ocala National Forest through recreation.gov. It's rustic and quiet and each site is quite private with heavy vegetation between sites. The restrooms are clean and showers are hot. Water spigots are conveniently placed between each campsite at the road. Nice dish washing pantry at the bath house. Camp hosts are extremely nice, stopping to chat or answer questions. Bear/raccoon proof trash containers are everywhere. Dirt sites and interior roads however that didn't deter our group on Touring motorcycles. Great riding in the area and stores are up the road. A firewood vendor up the road delivered firewood to our site for a couple bucks. We had a great time with 18 people and 12 bikes all tenting. There was a beach and a lake, very clean and nice. Sites all had lantern hangers, metal lattice picnic tables, fire rings and shade trees. We'd stay again, it's quiet and back to nature. We camped here in a Tent.

This is rustic camping at it's finest! This is a first come, first serve national forest park. Two great hosts greeted us at the gate. There are security codes for the gate after hours, and security codes for the nice neat clean bathrooms too. Well-spaced out sites with plenty of palmetto bushes, tall live oaks, dripping Spanish moss and quiet surroundings make this quite a tranquil experience. Each site has a huge picnic table of a plastic coated grid mesh that we have never seen before. Each site also has a built in charcoal grill, fire ring, and tall lantern hook. We are still camped here as I write this. Air card internet via Sprint allows me to access the net from this remote location. We were only going to stay the weekend, but we decided to stay 2 or 3 more days! Our folks are camping in the next site for only $6 a night, with Golden Age passport. There is a dump station and also water spigots placed all over the park, usually within hose distance to most sites to fill your camper up again if needed (don't leave your hose hooked up all the while, that is not fair to the other campers) Some sites are pull through, others are short and better for tents. We are here with 2 big diesel rigs 40-footers. The two friendly hosts are busy all the time, cleaning, picking up stuff, chatting with folks and answering questions. Nice beach with fenced off swimming area for gator protection. Bear-proof trash containers spaced all through the park at convenient places, not just at the entrance. Our friends are coming to join us tomorrow on the next site, and we might just stay a few more days. We camped here in a Motorhome.

After spending the winter at this "resort" I would like to share my experiences. If a resort constitutes a horse shoe pit and a shuffle board court, then this is a resort. The Wi-Fi was slow and I was unable to connect on numerous occasions. The TV cable was so so, with the upper channels difficult to see due to "snow". The owners were not the least bit friendly and acted like they were doing you a favor by accepting your money. I will not stay at this park again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Great campground. Clean restrooms. Nice clean. Rate based on monthly rate. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We have stayed here before, good place for a few nights stay. The sites are large, concrete with nicely mowed grass all around. Staff was friendly and helpful. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
