The site was fairly level but we did require a double stack of lynx levelers on one side. Sites are spaced apart well and separated by shrubs and trees. Bath houses are centrally located for each loop but the loop 3 bath house was closed for repairs (we were in loop 1). We lost 30A power at one time as did the site across from us but it was restored within the hour. No consolation in 99 degree heat, though. We also lost water pressure for about 2 hours one day. Ranger stated the park is 28 years old and never been upgraded but they are planning on it. Many sites are sandy and we even had to use our 4WD to pull out another camper who got stuck, we noticed a lot of sites were very uneven and some were very, very small. Large Class As might have an issue fitting in any of the sites, in fact, we didn't see any during our stay. Mostly tents, travel trailers and a few 5th wheels. Sign at the park said rates are going up to $20 per night in July 2009. Overall, it was a decent campground, close enough to visit everything yet far enough out to be away from traffic and congestion. We would stay here again if we had to but it wouldn't be our first choice. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is our second trip to this campground. First time we had site 41 directly across from playground with 15 and 30 amp service. This time we had site 28 on the south side of loop one with 15 and 50 amp service only. I thought this was odd that 30 amp wasn't offered at the sites on the south side of loop 1 as most campers use 30 amp and the sites were too small for a large fifth wheel or motor coach. I had to pull out my 15 amp adapter to use the electric service and ended up blowing the breaker while using my microwave with all of the lights and TV on. Luckily it was cool enough that we didn't have to use the A/C or we would have been in the dark a lot. The staff was friendly but the campsites definitely need to be updated, leveled, and enlarged. The camp hosts were having to bring gravel in to fill sites that had been flooded and muddy due to recent heavy rains. The campground is convenient to the beaches and many nice restaurants. It is very family friendly but try to go for the sites on the north side of the campground if possible. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

The park is really nice. It is fairly large and has lots of trails and boardwalks. The park roads and trails are great for walking, running and biking. They have several facilities and a tower along the beach. We saw a plenty of wildlife. The park is very quiet except for the occasional Navy trainer flying over. There are lots of sightseeing opportunities in the area plus the Naval Air Museum. I have been going to the museum for many years and I think it is one of the best in the nation. I highly recommend it. However, as nice as we thought the park was, we cannot say the same for the camping sites. The sites are very small, sandy, and uneven. Most will only accommodate the camper and one vehicle. A couple of the sites are big enough for a slide-out, an awning and the fire ring but not much more. The campground road is very narrow. Most everyone regardless of equipment size had trouble getting into their sites. The bathrooms and facilities were very clean but are older and in need of upgrading. They were working on one bathroom while we were there. There are no laundry facilities on site but the staff said there were some close by. Even though we loved the park, because of the condition of the campground sites and the availability of other nicer campgrounds in the Florida panhandle, we are not sure if we will be going back. We would love for them to improve the sites but I don’t think there are any plans to do. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We weren't crazy about this cp only because the sites are very sandy (that fine, white sand) surrounded by alot of unattractive bushes annd trees. Not very interesting. The rangers were very nice at checkin and the restrooms were clean, if not a little old. Overall a decent, quiet park. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Awesome place, trails to walk everywhere, incredible sights to see, can go right up to the water on walks. Lots of birds and lots of trees. Good steady crowd while not crowded at all. Really liked the place, will go back many times. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Lots of nature walks, which were nice. Very shallow RV spaces if you have a larger (longer) rig. A bit overpriced for the actual spaces offered. Stayed for a day, but wouldn't have stayed longer. Why have 50 amp hookups if the site can't accommodate the kind of motorhome that needs 50 amps? Even in our rig, we had to move back and forth to use electricity, water, dump. Very strange. Even in a smaller rig, you would have to figure out your priorities: hook up electricity and water or dump hose, because you can't do all three. We camped here in a Motorhome.

There are 50 amp sites, but the State wasted their money by upgrading small sites that will not accommodate large rigs that use 50 amps. The road along the south side of the camp ground is very narrow and limits backing into the sites. We were given 46. No way I could get my 36 foot 5th wheel pulled by a Ford crew cab, long bed truck into the site. We changed to the north side where the road is wider and allowed more turning room. Nice state park, sites are spaced apart and offer good privacy. There are several walking trails with access to the water. The Navel Air Station is close by and has the museum which is free and very extensive. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Very nice park with lots of room to do and play on intercoastal waterway. Kind of tight when maneuvering with longer trailer. The sites were not narrow but not much width available for suitable trailer footprint. Very private and truly beautiful setting. Definitely warrants return visit. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Beach access from Boardwalk. Nicely wooded areas around campsites. We really enjoyed the privacy, fire rings and picnic table. Campground hosts were very helpful. Only 30 amps in sites that will accommodate big rigs. Not many tall trees because of hurricane Ivan (9-04). Shower houses are not all heated. The first one is the best one, so you might get a site close to it. No shower curtains, so clothes in dressing area may get wet. No laundry but there is a great drop off service behind the Sherwin-Williams store: ask a host about it. I don't give this higher than an 8 because I like sewer service. But the dump station was easy to get to. We liked it so much we stayed here 5 nights after planning on only 2. Eat at the Shrimp Basket and visit the Naval Museum. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

One of a few campsites in the Pensacola area that are available to the non military. The staff were extremely friendly, but unfortunately the sites were very poorly maintained. The patchy grass around the picnic table was over 2' tall, and the ragweed was everywhere. an extra 10' of camp site could have been obtained with judicious mowing. The site I was directed to (I have a 30 footer) was soft enough to allow my pickup to sink to its axles when trying to hook up when leaving. Help was available and as I said the staff was very helpful. Sorry to say, I will not be back. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Very nice state park close to the Gulf Of Mexico. Some of the sites are very short so pay close attention to the details. If you make your reservation on Reserveamerica, note some of the park is still closed due to the devastation from Ivan last year but it is slowly getting back to normal. They have a small beach on the lagoon and the Gulf is a 10 minute drive away. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

A coastal state park in a sandy oak/pine scrub environment... almost desert-like. Sites are semi-shade. Access to campground is via paved road, leading to 75 back-in sites made of sand and packed shell. Each site has a fire ring. Sites might be considered small for larger campers. Bathrooms and showers are spotless and well kept. Campground staff and hosts are friendly. They sell ice and firewood onsite. Kids playground is well kept and well used, nice. In-park beaches are white sand and on the lagoon (not the Gulf of Mexico). Picnic pavillions and tables are at the beach. Beach is accessed via a nice boardwalk system from the campground. Gulf beaches must be accessed by leaving the park and crossing over to Perdido Key. No-See-Ums are present, especially at dusk. Quiet at night. We camped here in a Tent.

This is only open to active/retire military and DOD employees. Boat and bike rentals available, fishing pier, putt-putt golf and a small camp store. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This campground is located on an old Navy base called Bronson Field. It's open to active, retired, and DoD employees. I have to give the Navy a big thumbs up for what they've accomplished here. For only $7.50 per night this campground offers a beach, hiking/bike trails, putt-putt, bike, canoe and kayak rentals, ski boat and pontoon boat rentals, camp store with laundry, marina, large sites with great shade. It was packed during the Labor Day weekend yet was still quiet. Picnic tables and fire rings at each site. Patrolled by attentive camp employees and Navy police in marked vehicles. Seemed very safe and secure. There are a few things that would make this campground much better but at only $7.50 per night I won't even begin to get picky. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Overall a good RV Park while on business in Pensacola or for retired persons looking for a basic, friendly, convenient to most all things park. The owners, Gene and Joan Jones, are wonderful folks and maintain a safe and quiet environment. The rear or east end of the park boarders an active railroad track. The combined bath house and laundry room is not air conditioned and is very uncomfortable to be inside on a typical Florida summer day or night. The bath rooms accommodate only one person at a time. Nothing is provided to dry hands on. The bath rooms do not get cleaned daily. The bath house entrance has no walkway - it is over uneven grass lawn that floods terribly when it rains. A typical Florida summer down pour will flood the campsites with an inch or so of water that will take an hour or so to drain away. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We were so happy to finally get to return to our favorite campground! Everything was gong well. There were not a lot of campers (20 -30%) full but the campground was in good shape. There is still work to be done but it looks good. Still have plenty trees. The boardwalks are not there yet but the walk to the beach was easy. Now for the problem...Ida the hurricane! Yea, we had to leave a day early. The only reports of damage is the road is covered with sand. Up to 7 feet of it! There is a phone number to call (850-934-2656) that says the road should be open in late December 09. Can't wait to return! Oh, by the way, I don't rate any campground a 10 unless it has 50 amp, water, sewer, cable and working Wi-Fi. Again, GREAT place to visit!!! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

I didn't actually camp here but just wanted to give an update. The roads leading to the campground are being rebuilt and are expected to open in early April. For info on the park you can call (850) 677-1089. Press 1 for general info and I believe pressing 3 will give you info about the campground. As of right now you can only get to the CG from boat. From what we could see at the "Road Closed" signs there are not many trees at all still standing. Hurricane Ivan really messed up the surrounding Gulf Coast. I'm not sure if they will reopen the Fort. I had to give this CG a rating so I went with 5. I also had to put in a cost, not to sure if that's what it is or not?? We camped here the last time before the hurricanes. It is a beautiful campground, if you like nature. It is not fancy, but has all the necessities. The only problem is, the campground is still not open for RVs. It is only open for hikers and boaters. I have been in touch with the NPS for a couple of years, and it looks like it may never open to RV's. So sad that the NPS would spend money alloted to rebuild this campground on "other" things. Feel free to visit the NPS website to learn more. We camped here in a Motorhome.

After several phone calls, found out the campground will be closed for the next two years due to hurricane damage. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We were probably some of the last people to camp here between the hurricanes of 2004. This was a beautiful park. I hope they will bring it back to its natural glory. There are 2 areas for camping-loop A which is closer to the beach and loops B-E. Loops B and D are tent only sites. There are 3 bathhouses all were showing their extreme age and needed updating, I guess they will get it now. All sites are paved and back-in. There are curbs to stop your rig from going in the grass. All sites have picnic tables and grills with a fire ring. 2 dump stations. Loop A is only open on weekends. Loop B-E is always open. Some sites have shade, some don't. No playground. There is a fort to explore that has a gift shop, and there are ranger led tours daily. Beach is within a short walk. Bay is a bit farther but can be walked to. Camp store has all the essentials as well as firewood. There are walking trails and bike trails. Junior Ranger program for kids. We will be back once it opens again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice National Park. Fills up fast so reservations are recommended. Make sure you specify rig length and if you have a slide. Some sites are narrow. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Great campground in a beautiful setting. Restrooms and showers were always clean. You could hear the ocean and smell the pines. Met many nice people there - you can't help but make new friends. Would have been a 10 if sewer avail at sites. Great campground on the Gulf of Mexico. Perfect beaches with white sand. Lifeguards on duty. Shaded sites with nature trails for biking and walking. Camp store on site. Very large National Park in a fantastic location. Camp hosts friendly and helpful. Plenty to do in nearby Pensacola if you want to venture out. Great restaurants and the Naval Air Museum, mall, etc. Will return over and over. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Located on the west end of Santa Rosa Island, south of Pensacola. Has paved parking pads, picnic tables, grills, water and electric hook-ups. Has grass, pine and oak trees. The Gulf of Mexico and Pensacola Bay are within walking distance from the campground. Has a very interesting fort with daily tours as well as nature trails and other tours available. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

An excellent location for snowbirders in March and April. Bring your bike, watch the Blue Angels practice in April and enjoy the pure white beaches where your closest neighbor is 500 feet away from you. We will be back every year in April on the way home to New England. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

What a dump, terrible restroom & shower, 1 washer & 1 dryer, not a lot to choose from in pensacola, but wouldn't choose this one again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Clean, well managed, ALL sites back up to a pretty lake. Fishing available. No shade. Very good restaurant on site, for take out or eat at picnic tables. Two miles west of first I 10 exit in Florida, coming in from Alabama, on US 90. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We spent three months at this campground and we highly recommend it! Telephone sites are being added to every site as I e-mail this. Joan and Gene Jones care about their campground. There is a limit to the amount of fish...three per day and fishing is only from 9-6, but if you want a serene, dog friendly campground with easy access to all the other areas, this is the place! We camped here in a camper.

Very clean and very well groomed park. Three lakes stocked with fish and campers are allowed to catch any amount of fish. A lot of nice size catfish in all the lakes. Fish from your site is very easy. We spent 5 days at this new campground and enjoyed every minute. Close to all attractions in Pensacola. Highly recommend this park to anyone. They offer weekly and monthly rates also. We camped here in a camper.

We visited for the weekend to be with our son who is stationed at NAS Pensacola. The location could not be better. Easy access from main and west gates. We recommend the west gate approach if arriving via I-10. Exit #7 and follow signs to Blue Angel Parkway and stay on it right into the base. Campground is within walking distance of the National Museum of Naval Aviation. This first class facility is free and rivals the Smithsonial Air & Space Museum in quality of exhibits. Campground hosts were superb (Debbie). Nice level 40x20 concrete pad. Good clean power and excellent water pressure. Some areas shaded by mature oaks. The Blue Angels practice Tu & Wed when on base. The catch: you must be a vet or have an active duty register you to stay here. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We used to camp here every year for a week or two, but this year the rates went up and the service went down. They appear to have a lot of empty sites, but we were told the only one available for a week was one that had half the concrete slab covered with water. When I saw that I told them I was not paying 22.00 a night and be in that type of site, to which they said we could have a water view site for $26.00 a night. And, you really don't see any water. I said no as I didn't want to pay more. The check in person was nice, but the host was in the office and would not stop interrupting as we tried to talk to the check in person. My husband finally gave up and went outside. I then asked about WiFi and was told it was 8.00 a day. Which I thought was excessive. This used to be a very friendly park with great hosts, but I think things are changing. We stayed one night instead of a week. Probably won't be going back for a while, if ever. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Highly recommended. On base at Pensacola NAS. Short walk to the beach. Shady with lots of trees. Sites somewhat narrow but complete with picnic table. Tight parking for toad, but it worked. Friendly staff. Took positive action to quiet down some loud music after 10:00 pm. Very good experience. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Small, intimate park with level sites, concrete pads, and lighted utility poles at each site. The majority of the sites are shaded, but with little privacy between them. Nice quality picnic tables are provided. Restrooms and showers are exceptionally clean, the floors gleamed! Reasonable walk to the beach provided via 3-4 access paths. Apparently, they are building a boardwalk to the beach on one of the main paths, there were orange cones, twine, and poles set to mark the layout. Gorgeous beaches, very clean and well-kept. Great dog walk area, and we did not notice a large amount of dog droppings as other campers did, perhaps that has changed. Cottages were lovely, well-kept, cleaned quickly, and nicely appointed. Floor-to-ceiling windows really let in water view! We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is one of the nicest military rv parks we have stayed at. Large cement pads, restrooms and showers exceptionally clean, friendly staff and just a short walk to the beach. We stayed here a week and would like to have stayed longer. Museum of Naval Aviation within walking distance and is something that shouldn't be missed. Great base and great rv park!!! We camped here in a Motorhome.

Each site has concrete slab 20x40, picnic table, W/E/S. Nice heated bathhouse, laundry facilities, small clubhouse with fireplace. Sites very close together, has the RV park feel. No foliage between sites, no privacy from neighbors. No fires, but you can bring your own grill to cook. Park has horseshoes, beach very close by, just over the dunes, in December was too cold to swim or enjoy. No playground for children, this is a retiree park. We were here to spend Christmas with family but our child was really bored at this park. Blue Angels take this week off but normally they fly practices and I was told several times by people in the park how noisy it was. I would have loved to hear it, how exciting to see parts of their new shows. Lighthouse, Fort Barrancas nearby as well as the Naval Air Museum. Stores close by back gate. Park also has cabins for rental for those not RV or tent camping. We hada 35ft 5ver at the time and it was very hard to get into site #1 because people would park behind their rigs instead of in front, making the road extra narrow. We almost scraped a tree to get into our site. We would go back but would get a back-in site away from the circle and clubhouse. We camped here in a Motorhome.

In my opinion, this is the best place to camp on the whole gulf coast. Unfortunately, it's only available to military and civilian government workers. This place is awesome. Just a stone-throw from the beach. The beach is very private. Water is crystal clear and the sand is sugar white. Walmart is very close and restaurants are near-by. This is by-far our favorite place to go camping. Wi-Fi, pool and BBQ pits at each site would make it 10. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

For active or retired military. Outstanding milcamp. The Blue Angels practice on Tuesday and Wednesday at 8:30 AM and fly their show nearly right over the campground. This campground could probably be rated a 10 as far as cleanliness, site spacing, friendliness of the hosts, facilities, and services. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This campground is on Naval Air Station Pensacola so you must be active duty, retired or DoD employee. Right next to the Naval Aviation Museum. Sites are concrete pad with full hookups. Plenty wide enough for slideouts and awnings. Beach and Gulf of Mexico within very short walk. Restaurants on the installation as well as an unlimited number of choices within the city of Pensacola. The only drawback is that the campground does not accept reservations. It's first come, first camp. You take a big chance just showing up expecting there to be a site available. I don't understand why they can't take reservations when their sister campground, Blue Angel Rec Park does. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We had site #51 a PT with W/E/S. Site was plenty big enough for our rig and was mostly level. The pad is gravel and a picnic table is provided as well as cable and Wi-Fi which was very good from our site. They give discounts for Good Sam, military, and law enforcement. The owners are very nice and friendly. We did not feel unsafe like earlier reviewers said. Park is dark at night but we had an end site and there ARE lights at the end of each row. The longer term residents did not look unkempt at all. The park staff will also set you up with firewood at one of the park fire rings they have for the use of guests. We were also invited to use the common room and kitchen when we told them we were in town for a family reunion. Our site did not have shade but many of the outside rows did from mature oak trees. Park is built on part of a family owned nursery which is still being operated by the family. I wish I could have bought some trees but we still have a long trip ahead of us. Park is located near I-10 but we heard no road noise and there are several restaurants and shopping nearby. There are no recreation activities for children here so if you bring them you will need to keep them entertained. Both our cells AT&T and Verizon worked well here. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park has open sites with unpaved pull throughs surrounded by mature live oaks. Has courteous and responsive staff. It's quiet and off the road but convenient to shopping and restaurants. Has a small but nice laundry. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a great Park! It is quiet, neat, clean, well maintained and well attended. There is always someone to happily lend a hand when necessary. This is our third stay and the quality service is consistent. The interior roads and sites are level and big rig friendly. The Wi-Fi and cable TV work well. Restrooms/showers are clean and the hot water is hot. The water pressure and electricity are constant. The interstate and all manner of shopping and dining options are nearby. The beach is within an easy drive. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Great Place! We made our reservation over the phone without any deposit required. We arrived about 10 minutes after normal closing time. The manager waited for us to arrive, then showed us to our site. The sites are gravel, with grass in between. Very little leveling was required. The water pressure was very good, and the Wi-Fi worked very well. It was a nice campsite, and very convenient to I-10, although we noticed very little highway noise. There are restaurants, and a grocery store nearby. We would definitely recommend this campground, and will certainly stay here again if we are ever in the area. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

There are level pull-thru gravel sites with well kept grassy areas between sites and gravel driveways. Lack of trees makes for good satellite reception, but the Park is surrounded by trees. Good for an overnight stay. We'll stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a gem in the forest along Wilde Lake. Great Wi-Fi, 70 cable channels, nice owners. Large long gravel pull-throughs, easy for big rigs. Good Sam discount. A few seasonals, but well kept sites. Some strange rules ("no known sexual predators will be allowed in the park" - how would you enforce that one exactly? A little harder to monitor than pick up afer your dog!). Lots of good areas to walk dogs. Feels like REAL camping, with all the amenities at the same time! About 1 miles from I-10; well signed. No road noise - a great place for 1 night or more. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Rate indicated is daily rate during a month's stay. This RV Park is located very close to many shops, stores and local tourist sites. It is relatively new with very friendly staff and has large sites with water, electric, sewer, cable TV and Wi-Fi. All worked well except the Wi-Fi which faded out occasionally. All sites had very good drainage after heavy rainfall. Washrooms were clean but no privacy if you wanted a shower. No activities at this park which you expect from a premium park which charges a premium price. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Excellent overnight spot with easy access from I-10 or for 2-3 nights to visit Naval Aviation Museum as we did. Closest and easiest to the museum via the back gate. Good paved interior roads, level, gravel pull-thrus. Will stay there again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park has come a long way in a year. The owners and daughter are the nicest people you will ever meet. There are long pull throughs that are very wide. Good power and good water pressure with good water. Easy on and off I-10 with shopping and restaurants close by. Just minutes from the Naval Air Museum and many other attractions. The owner of the park watches out for all of his guests and does not allow bad renters. Great cell-phone service and good Wi-Fi. You will not regret a stay for a night or a month at this park. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We found this RV park to be well maintained with large roomy and level sites. The sites have ample crushed rock and there was no mud after a heavy rain. The showers and laundry were quite nice and we used both. The week we spent here was pleasant and we didn't notice any excessive noise. All of our neighbors were staying for a month or longer and were all very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a nice stop over. The sites were fairly clean (cigarette butts) pretty level, water was good and power was good. I didn't see many children (we liked that). The man that checked me in was friendly. I thought the rules were pretty standard but NOT enforced at all. If you have rules and they are not enforced are they rules? The previous posting was obviously written by the owner or a friend of the owner as I noticed they wrote another after getting a negative review. Most of the RVs are long term or permanent as admitted by an earlier post of being here over 6 months. We were here a week and were woken up every morning by loud pickup trucks starting. Dogs were tied up outside and barked every morning. We noticed the dog poop around the park. Trucks were parked in the grass between sites. Clutter was under almost every full time trailer. As for the darkness, the lights are only around the clubhouse but if you are out in the park it is pitch black and with all the permanent trailer people I didn't go out after dark. On the weekend many of the permanent people had loud obnoxious bikes so it became a biker park. I spoke to MANY other RV owners and everyone had the same comments about this park. Having people write good things does not make the bad go away. The owner should take the negatives, change them and it will be a positive. I hope the owner corrects these issues because this could be a very nice park. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

I read the preceding review and was amazed at the vehement complaining concerning this campground. We have had nothing but a pleasant experience during our stay and I would say that much of that is due to the fact that there are rules and guidelines in place. I guess the rule holds true that you cannot please everyone. All campgrounds have rules and I can fault no one for not wanting to assume the liability of a person's life during a hurricane. This is probably the same person that would sue if their trailer was damaged during the same hurricane should they be allowed to stay here. Bottom line is that the rules are in place for the protection of the park and it's residents. If you don't like them, then go somewhere else. I for one appreciate them. I feel protected by them. We have been here for over 6 months and I would not want to stay anywhere else. You will find this same sentimentality among other long term and short therm residents. This is our home away from home. Allow me to address the darkness issue. There are security lights located all around the club house that light with little movement. Furthermore, most people appreciate the darkness in order to sleep. I have visited other campground that are equally as dark, if not darker. Personally, I enjoy seeing the stars at night. I also noticed that the individual said there were no shade tree sites. You gotta be kidding me. One of the draws of this locale is the fact that there are sites canopied by oak trees that are over a 100 years old. I'm tellin' ya folks, you will find few places in this world that make you feel like family. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

If it weren't for this park's lengthy and ridiculous RULES sheet you are handed when you check in and its total lack of street lights, it would rate higher. One rule says in capital letters, "NO ELECTRIC HEATERS, PLEASE." Just what is the above-average $35 a day fee supposed to pay for if not utilities? Maid service? Paving? A 30 amp circuit will not run two electric heaters on high, nor could you stand the heat inside if they both ran constantly, but let's say you could do both. At 10 cents/KWH two electric heaters on high ALL NIGHT would cost less than four bucks. So what's the problem? I'm paying them ten times that and I can't use less than four bucks of electricity? Another says, "In the event of a hurricane or other natural disaster directed towards the Pensacola area, all visitors must leave the park... No refunds will be given to any persons due to a natural disasters (sic)." Just exactly why would you refuse someone a refund in those circumstances? There is an extra charge for more than two people. Just what is the extra cost to an RV park of another person? Ten gallons of water? And as usual, no vehicle washing. You pay $35 a day yet can't use more than a KWH or two of electricity and and one tenth the water a normal household uses per day? And what's with no refunds after they throw you out?? This campground has very good free Wi-Fi, picnic tables, level crushed rock sites, and the fellow who checked me in was very nice. But whoever wrote the rules should not be within ten feet of anyone who owns his own business. There are no street lights whatsoever and the place is black-hole dark at night. I'd rather stay in a Wal-Mart parking lot than go back here, given what I'd get for the money. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

The Good: Level sites, good water pressure, good power, friendly manager, clean bathrooms, clean laundry, minimal Wi-Fi. The Bad: This is a trailer park were over half are workers that don't pickup around their RVs. Dogs are allowed to be put out on ropes and left out all day and bark all day! Be prepared to wake up at 5 am as all the rednecks start their trucks. Dog crap everywhere. This is also a biker park! Trucks parked in the grass, vehicles parked behind RVs in the woods. Trailer trash is alive and well here. Roads are dirt or something like that. I disagree with the previous review on rules. I believe someone told them they had to have rules but they are not enforced. It's pitch black at night and with the trailer trash, you don't get a comfortable feeling. Recommendation: overnight only. We stayed here 4 days and hated every minute of it: there are no refunds. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a very nice family run park just south of I-10 at Exit 7. Owners who live at park are very pleasant and helpful. It is a newer park with level chat gravel sites. Also, the shower and bathroom facilities are new and were kept very clean. This park is an excellent overnight if you are just passing thru on I-10 or needing a place to stay longer if in area on business. There is a Cracker Barrel with RV and bus parking, a Hardies and BP gas station at Exit 7 on south side of I-10 at return to campground. We camped here in a Motorhome.

One of the better parks in Pensacola. Park is on the new side. Roads and sites are all gravel. Sites are long at 50 feet or so and very wide plus close to level. Site had 30/50 amps, water, sewer, cable TV, and table. Large number of pull-thru. No fire rings or fires here, a good thing to me. Only hard sides RV units here, no showers or bathrooms. Wi-Fi is free and works very well on your site. Verizon cell phone worked well. Sat. dish's will work on most sites. We could pick up some road noise off I-10 and Wilde Lake Blvd. but inside it was not a problem. From the traffic light at Wilde Lake drive West 7/8 of a mile and park is on left. The Navel Museum is 18.6 miles from park. You have two large new super markets to shop in and they are close by. Staff was helpful at check in and will take you to your site plus help you hookup if you need it. Not a lot of trees in this park. Nice people live here. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed a month at this very clean park. We live in Pensacola and just wanted to use our camper since it had been in storage since January. I have to say, this is one of the most friendliest places. The staff goes out of their way to help you set up if you need it. Just an all around good place to stay. Will definitely go back! Very nice park. Just off I-10 far enough that you don't have any road noise. The park is fairly new with level gravel sites. Hook-ups are conveniently located & the owner is on site helping you get set up. A plus was he told us about how the Blue Angles would be practicing at the Pensacola Naval Air Station the next day (approx. a 15 mile drive). Apparently they have practice at least 2 days a week. We went & it is a great show, all free, you are seated very close to the show, and volunteers let you know which way the jets will be coming from. The Navel Aviation Museum is also there for viewing. We would stay at this park again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice, quiet and friendly campground. We are fulltime and this was as nice a campground as we have visited. We felt very safe at this campground. We visited some of the others in the area while we were there...this is by far the one we will visit again. Nice pull through sites. Well designed and maintained park. Cost is high (we felt) even with a weekly rate so you will just have to evaluate whether the advantages balance out the higher cost. Park is convenient to interstate and once you know where it is it's easy to get into and out of from the Interstate and other highways. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We travel & live in fifth wheel for work, have spent time in other parks including KOAs, however this park surpasses all other campground experiences! It is peaceful & serene, very clean, the facilities are spotless, it is attractively landscaped and maintained and very conveniently located near I-10 making it easy to get to. This park is run by the most accommodating, generous people that we've had the pleasure of knowing!! The atmosphere of the campground and its temporary residents - whether overnighters or longterm (like ourselves) - is friendly, helpful and 'family like'. The camaraderie is instantly felt once one pulls into their site - the owners take special care to make sure every rig is parked securely and all hookups are functioning, as well as making sure their new 'tenants' are comfortable and familiar with their surroundings. Thank you Wendell, Lane, Jeanine and Doug for all that you do!! We appreciate you and dread the thought of leaving!! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We spent our first month of being full-timers at the Park. The owners are working onsite all the time it seems. There is no doubt they really enjoy themselves and the park, and they serve up a delicious fish fry! It is a friendly place to be new to Rving. It is clean and tidy, easily accessed, quiet and well monitored. There is a nice mix of long-term and just-passing-thru occupants. Hands down, it is the nicest park in that part of Pensacola and only a short ride to the beautiful beaches. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

From the moment we arrived, the owners and attendants were courteous and accommodating. The grounds and facilities are clean and well kept. The owners take pride in their new park and will address disturbances quickly. During the last two weeks of March, 2009, we didn't see any loud vehicles or free ranging dogs. While touring Greater Pensacola, we made a point to cruise through other parks. This one seemed to be best value, without question. We will stay here whenever we are in Pensacola, and will suggest the same to friends. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Very nice new campground. The owners are very kind and very helpful. This is the nicest campground around Pensacola. Very quiet. Big rig friendly and easy access to I-10. Sites were level and wide. Rate is a monthly rate. We will come back anytime we are in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Pensacola RV Park is a spacious, attractive, high end park nestled amongst large oaks and with beautiful landscaping. We have seen many RVs come and go with many expressing a sadness upon departure. The solitude and sounds of wildlife are relaxing. We have found a camaraderie here that we have not found at other cookie cutter campgrounds. We are proud to call this home. The first post concerning Pensacola RV Park should be taken with a grain of salt. We have been camping here for over a month and find Pensacola RV Park to be a wonderful refuge managed by individuals that care not only about the park but also about the folks camping in the park. Pensacola RV Park should not be penalized because there are rude people out there that do not tend to their pets. The owners are aware of pet issues and are pro active in addressing this issue. Overall, Pensacola RV Park is a great place to stay with new, well maintained facilities, spacious sites to accommodate the largest of motorhomes and a management staff that is attentive. I seriously doubt that you will find a better maintained campground or better owners. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here for a couple of days. Park just opened in Nov 08. Owners are very nice and helpful. Park is very clean except for a few long term 5th wheelers. On one side of me they let there dog out without a leash and it went the bathroom by my coach everyday. It was absolutely disgusting. The other side had 3 motorcycles that came and went at all hours. I saw dogs running loose all the time in the park. This park will go down hill very quickly if dog rules are not enforced. Rating is based on dog problem. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a new RV park, family owned. It is just off of Interstate 10, about one mile. It is easy to get into and the spots are spacious. They are pet friendly. The rates are reasonable and they also have monthly rates. There is no pool but they have a kitchen area that is available to their guests. The owners live on site so there is always someone in management there. They also have a clean laundry area and showers. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
