Huge park, lots of permanent residents with tiny cottages and a pad, RV sites very close to the beach. Nice pavilion for every site. The beach!!!! Incredibly close and small sites. The RV and the pavilion left about 5 feet on either side. That's close! When you arrive you have to drop your toad. We couldn't because the lady has a broken foot so I showed off my skill and put our 55 foot rig through the park to the beach. Very very narrow. She says I passed my driving test. The beach is right there! We will stay again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Worst place for Big Rigs .Most places are permanent and they build there patio's with covers right next to the narrow streets. Some streets are the smallest I have ever seen. The layout must have been done for the old "Lucy" show 50 years ago. The few beach sites are the nicest but you don't see the beach as they have large sand dunes between you and the beach. Great staff but the park is not for us over 40 crowd - 40 foot that is. Will never go back We camped here in a Motorhome.

What a great place!!!! New heated beach-side pool and hot tub. Wonderful NEW bathhouse and they have done a lot of work on the interior roads. While we where there for over a month, there where at least 15 new decks built on sites and they are a great addition. I have a 45 foot coach with 4 slides and had no problem getting into the beach-front sites. This place just keeps getting better and better each year, and of course the direct access to the beach is THE big attraction. Very pet friendly, the staff is courteous and very helpful. The only warning would be for other big rig owners....some of the interior sites back from the ocean are a bit tight so stick with the beach front pads or the pull-throughs. Sites 222, 223, 224, 230, are great to get into because you turn up a road and back straight in. Many of the owners of the sites are doing upgrades to them and making them more like a "resort" style. I've already booked for 3 months next year. It is close to St. Augustine (old town) and there are literally dozens of great restaurants within biking distance. Pets are welcome on the beach. We drove our bikes each day for miles down the beach. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Beautiful location. We got there during tropical storm Debby and the roads were standing in water but not impassable. There are new showers that are very nice and clean. Beach is very wide and less crowded than areas above and below. Highly recommend it! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is our 8th year visiting this park and I just don't understand some of the reviews. It is not a park you want to "blindly" pick a site if you have a big rig, mine is 45 feet, but there are plenty of sites that do work. The pull through sites near the beach or any of the beachfront sites are not difficult to get into. The interior sites would be very difficult for a big rig to maneuver. The BIG attraction here is simply the beach! Nothing fancy and few frills but the "main" interior roads to get to the beachfront sites are easy to get thru. My truck conversion which doesn't have the turning radius of class A's, was no problem. I stayed in site 219 which was a breeze: easy in and out. The folks are friendly, you can take your dog to the beach, drive a bike on the beach and even take your car on the beach. It is close to everything. Take the time to talk to the folks who work here when booking and avoid the interior sites close to the front. Sites 249, 250 are great pull through sites and the ocean front, back in sites: 223, 224, 232, 235, 237 allow you to make a turn and back straight in. If you are looking for an oceanfront campground you won't be disappointed. They are doing a lot of work on the campground right now with new gazebos on the sites, new fencing, bathroom renovations, a new pool close to the beach with a hot tub and new showers, etc. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Although sites are close together, short timers should ask for one of their beachfront sites. They are great. You can see and hear the ocean from your site. For dog owners, this is a great beach area. Dogs are welcome on lease. We camped here in a Motorhome.

After checking in we proceeded to the site. The roads were really small and the turns were fairly tight. We we arrived at the site, it was occupied. So we navigated back to the office. The individual sites are individually owned, and the owner of the site we had been given decided to stay and didn't tell the management. So the management scrambled to find us another site. After about 45 minutes they gave us another one. We drove to the site only to find this owner washing black tank materials off of the pad. She indicated that she pulled out before she had finished dumping so that we could have the spot. The site stunk like, well you can imagine. So back to the office we went. The staff was gracious and apologized for all of the hassles we had. The manager met with us and offered us an overflow site for one night at no charge. Since it was spring break and nothing else was available we took him up on it. The next day we moved into an "ocean side" site. You can't see the ocean but access to the beach is fairly easy. This is a typical full time RV park. We won't go back there. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here last year and thought it was OK. This year the place was packed and no fun to be at. There is very little space between RVs and it is VERY difficult to back into a site. The restroom had 2 toilets and one was clogged. The showers are terrible. There was NO hot water and the water pressure was very low. The good thing about this place is that it is pet friendly. Dogs are even allowed on the beach and beach is very wide and very nice. We will not return to this park. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Poor layout, trashy, unpaved roads, floods when it rains, no grass or landscaping to speak of, nasty looking in general. Sites too close together, no room to turn a big rig. Very run down. Nice entrance to fool the eye when you arrive. Don't waste your money! Only good thing is the beach. It is much cleaner and more attractive than the park. How they can refer to this place as a resort is beyond me! Very overpriced. Will never stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Had we known that at least 80% of this park is made up of owner park models we would have stayed some place else. The roads are not paved and the turns are tight especially for a big rig. The covered deck was nice but not well maintained. Quiet hours are 10 pm to 8 a.m. We had purchased for $10 the right to wash our rig. We didn't even start until 8:30. At 9:00 a man came charging down like Custer and the 7th Calvary and told us we had to turn the water off now as we could not wash rigs in the park. I told him we had the pass to wash it this day and it was on the dashboard as we were told to do. Well, you are using the water for the neighbor next door he said next. No I replied, that water is marked DO NO USE and we used the one facing our rig and that this spot had hookups on either side and we were told we could use either one. Oh he replied! Did he or the management apologize? NO! We would never stay here again as it was too much money even though the ocean was not very far. It was a walk up hill to the pool and we don't have bikes and they do not provide a parking area up there for the people parked down near the beach. It would have been nice had they explained about the garbage pickup and where you put it at 10:30. We camped here in a Truck Camper.

A bit overpriced but the campground was full so I guess they can charge what they want. Sites are very close together. Back-ins take skill and patience. Pull through sites available. Each site has a large deck and cover for eating and socializing. The staff was very friendly. The "ocean front" sites are blocked by sand dunes and not worth the extra money. Don't be caught on the beach with a beer or a pet! Huge fines. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

If your looking for location, then this is it and you pay for it. Very narrow streets and cramped.staff not very friendly and one in particular very rude. Had a snake problem and reported it. Noticed it was still around when we left. Not much in country store. As you leave the road is narrow and only one spot to hook up the toad. If another motorhome comes around the curve you have to wait and block the road out. If you try and go out the gate to hook up, Mr Rude will get in your face and his little authority comes with no common sense in moving traffic. Stayed here before, but not again. The greatest asset about this resort was the closeness to the beach. For the price, I would have thought it to be much nicer. Roads are not paved, decks and units outside are a bit shabby looking. Very nice pool and rec area, but too cool to use it so can't rate. These are owner-owned lots, and our deck was neglected as were most 'for rent' sites. The chairs were so filthy looking (moldy), I wouldn't even put my feet on them. If you live in a nice home, I guess you want nice surroundings: however the parking areas for units in this resort leave a lot of room for cleaning up, tidying, and looking fresher. Bryn Mawr has been around since I was a child (56 now). The grounds are kept up as well as possible considering you are on the beach. The interior roads are not paved, and yes the sites are tight in some areas. It is a family atmosphere, and is close to St. Augustine proper. However, you have a walkway over the sand dunes that have turtles, rabbits, birds, and you are on the Atlantic Ocean. This is why you stay here. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Location: it's on the beach. Cost: it's on the beach, folks. Roads: a little rough and narrow, but there is no need for those awful speed bumps. There is daily trash pick up at curb. Constant unobtrusive maintenance; no leaf blowers. Everything works. Permanent and seasonal sites are well kept. Quiet and peaceful, feels safe. We stayed 4 days and would come here again. If it is the beach access you are looking for, then this is the place. The ocean is right in your back yard. Although they keep the park clean, the roads are rough and narrow. There are a lot of permanent sites. The staff was efficient but not overly friendly. One thing I did not like is that during business hours the staff is around the park but once the office is closed everyone seems to go home. We had neighbors making noise until 4 in the morning. It started at 10:00 so had they at least monitored once after quiet hours they would have known of this problem. But there is no one that I could ever see after 6 pm. Also, if you are at the back of the park, you can forget about the Wi-Fi. It doesn't work there. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I am not sure about the rate, but I'm guessing in that ballpark. Although we were in a back in next to the beach, you could not see the ocean and beach because of a large sand dune. However, we were minutes from the gate to the beach which was very nice. Most of this campground is made up of park models, but the area next to the beach seems to be reserved for non-permanent visitors. Tight spaces, but park was clean and maintained. We stayed here to visit old St. Augustine, which was about 1/2 hour away. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Somewhat narrow sites. There is more than enough room to get your slides out. Multiple beach access that are very well maintained. The pool was gigantic. I must admit I was concerned at first about going to this resort based on the prior recent reviews. Bryn Mawr was recommended by a good friend. My expectations were exceeded. We went to this location to be on the beach and close to the St. Augustine attractions. This resort met and exceeded all expectations. You must get a beach front site, as I agree the interior sites are a little tight. Our beach front site we could see the ocean from our camper! We were on site 234. The staff was great and the camp grounds felt like a little beach front community. The resort is very family friendly and pet friendly. We were surprised to see that dogs were allowed on the beach! This means that our dog will come with us on the next trip! The staff was top notch! Location is the best. Close enough to St. Augustine to do the tours and fun stuff but far enough away where there as not issues with traffic! We will be back to this park again! It was great! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

The location is great but the park is really high density. The interior roads are sand, rough and VERY narrow. Navigation is tight and most sites are very difficult to get into. The dust from the unpaved roads get all over your vehicles. The park has sold sites and most now have park models on them. Only a few RV sites in the main area. The beach front site are all RV sites but a view of the ocean is difficult from most sites because of the sand dunes. The KOA park down the street looked a whole lot better as we drove through for a look and there are several other parks in the area that we will try before going back here. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed one night, and moved over to another park to save over $20.00 a night. Their winter rates are a bit too high, since even in Florida, it is too cold to walk or swim in the Ocean. We believe their park would stay full year round if their rates weren't so high in the off season. If we did stay here again, in order to get full benefit, we'd go back in warmer weather. We stayed in another nice park (in St. Augustine) for $32.00 a night. If you're in St Augustine to go to the beach, this is a good park, but if you're here to tour St. Augustine, there are a couple of other parks that are as nice for less money. Like any other park, this has its "pros" and "cons". For us, there were more of the latter (hence the low rating). The only pros this park has to offer are that it is on the ocean, employs a courteous staff, has concrete pads and some sites with a nice, spacious deck and landscaping. Unfortunately, there are many cons. This is an old park. As a result, narrow dirt roads characterized by tight, difficult turns wind their way between very narrow sites. The water pressure is very low (not terrible, just very low), and the electric current is not steady (we experienced several spikes and dips in the voltage; both of which can wreck havoc with an RV's components). If your desire to be by the water is greater than your desire to drive down wide streets with wide turns to get to a wide site with decent water pressure and a stable electric supply, this is the park for you. If not, avoid this park (as we will in the future). We camped here in a Motorhome.

If you want to stay on the beach itself, this is the place to stay in St. Augustine. You are camping on concrete in a parking lot but the beach is worth it. Staff is friendly and helpful. Lots of full-timers here. We enjoyed our stay and will return. Park was clean and so were the bathrooms. Not too far from St. Augustine. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

I hate to speak badly of this campground because the staff there was very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the place really needs some work and the majority of sites are permanent residence of the park. It is on the beach which means absolutely no shade at all! The ocean is not visible from the park, you have to go through the dunes. It is very secure with gates from A1A to the beaches, but I would personally skip this park and head for greener pastures. If you are wanting a campsite on the ocean this is the place for you. All of the sites are a bit close, but not as bad as some I have seen in the past. Just a short walk over the dunes and you are on the beach. Staff was wonderful and very helpful. The only area that could use some improvement is the WiFi. It is only in the office. This park sits directly on a beautiful beach, is extremely dog friendly, quiet at night, convenient to everything and has a huge swimming pool. The staff is very helpful and the park well maintained. The only two items that could be improved would be if WiFi access was available and updated showers. We've already made reservations to return here next summer. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We have stayed in two ocean front campsites on this trip. This one and Red Coconut in Fort Myers Beach. Both offered different things, but were great. This campground offers good size sites, covered wooden porches/cabanas with each site. A nice touch. The pool is large and clean. CG needs a campground store, but there is a gas station up the street. Bathrooms were relatively clean, however, could use a bit of freshening up. Not sure beach front sites are all that important as the dunes are in the way. We would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Thirty years ago, I remember this being a well-kept, great campground on the beach. Times have changed. This is probably the rattiest campground I’ve ever stayed in. My site was half-way between the beach and pool- not very far from the dunes, but almost every site-line to the ocean is completely blocked with all the ‘park models’. Way too many… for me, park models in a campground wholly spoil the experience. Our site bordered the north edge- it appeared to be a condo or apartment complex on the opposite side of a foliage covered fence- extremely noisy tenets, with lots of all-hours partying. Quiet time was observed, for the most part, within Bryn Mawr. We only stayed five nights- but a garbage truck for this neighboring complex was maneuvering and grabbing dumpsters at least a half-dozen times during that time. There was a fair amount of rain, but not excessive by Florida (June/July) standards. Still, the retention pond at the end of our road completely overflowed, the corner was about 6-8 inches deep with foul smelling water. There were many deep pools of foamy, polluted, flood water through-out the campground. Get the impression from the staff they couldn’t care less if you stayed there. When we arrived, the concrete pad at our site was covered with road dirt and sand, and the crab grass was totally overgrown and coming up through all the cracks and edging. Obviously, ‘ocean front’ is the only reason they’re still leasing out slots- but with car access onto the beach, we’ll be staying somewhere else and simply drive down. It’s almost more convenient that way. Pool was warm and salty. Ratty and un-kept playground. A real disappointment. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Beach is FABULOUS for toddlers and children. BEWARE of COPPERHEAD SNAKES near the Beach Front Sites. They like to "sun" on the pads and will crawl back into the vegetation on the dunes. This was ONE incident. The other campers had NOT seen any snakes, but Camp Management is aware. This is NOT pointed out in the literature. (Disney's Ft. Wilderness has a Section on reptiles). Overall a great place. Used as a stop over from NC to Ft. Wilderness: BOTH WAYS. If time had not been a factor, would have spent a few more days here. Weather and beach was great. If you love the beach, this is the place to come. We paid for a premium site right on the beach and our travel trailer was almost parked in the sand. We have two English Bulldogs and the beach was very pet friendly. Out pups were able to hang out with us in the sand all day. It rained one day, but the kids were able to occupy themselves in the game room and at the activity center. The sites were a little tight and basically a parking lot of RV's, but we spent most of our time on the beach and in comparison to what you would normally pay for a hotel on the beach, it was well worth it. We did spend one day at the pool onsite. It was a salt-water pool, which I wasn't a huge fan of, but it was quiet and relaxing. The other campers were all friendly and it was definitely a family fun place. The only negative was that we got a site right next to beach entrance so there was a bit of regular traffic. That didn't bother us that much, however at night when a few evening beach walkers that obviously had a few too many, were a little loud and obnoxious walking back into their site. We would definitely go back to this site. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here for 3 days with friends and loved it. It was our first trip in our new RV. You can't get any closer to the beach than this campground. There are a lot of permanent trailers, but the sites are big, and most of them have gazebos. Our friends have stayed here 4 times and love it. The pool was clean, and the kids had a great time going from the beach to the pool. We definitely will be going back here soon! We camped here in a Motorhome.

We spent a week here with a beach front site and enjoyed every minute of it. This is a beach RV park with roads in need of repair. We were within a minute walk of the beach. Since this was during Daytona bike week, the rates were higher. RV park is located within reasonable driving distance to downtown St. Augustine. This was the 5th year we camped at Bryn Mawr and we still love it. We camped in an ocean front site #224 and it was wonderful. Location to old St. Augustine is good, close to churches and restaurants. You can walk and ride for miles on the beach and the area is very pet friendly. Some say the sites are tight but we did not find that at all: very easy to maneuver. There are a lot of park models on the west side of the park and many motorhome sites closer to the ocean. After reading some other reviews i almost didn't go. That would have been a mistake. The roads were sand and space was a little tight. The staff was excellent and the park was very clean and quiet. I will go back every time I go to St. Augustine. If you are in a big rig it might be difficult if you do not have a lot of experience. I have a 35 foot motorhome towing a motorcycle trailer and had no problems getting in the site. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Location, location, location. Great sun rises and beach access if you get a site on the beach front. No shade, so would be very hot during the summer months. This is not the park to go to if you are looking for a rustic experience. The sites are fairly small and most are paved. All have sewer and water and electricity. It is the park to go to if you want to be near the beach. The park is located on the beach side of the highway and you can walk right onto the beach from the campground. The beach is wide and very nice. The biggest negative I found was the constant extra charges the campground imposes. It is $5 a person a day for over two to a site. It is $2 a day for your dog. These extras can mount up. There is no weekly rate, but they do have some discounted monthly rates. Bath houses were clean and do not receive a lot of use. All of the sites are privately owned and many have park models on them. A number of the RV sites, including ours, had a nice covered deck so you did not even have to put out your awning. The staff was friendly and knowledgable about the area. I would camp here again-- so long as there were just two in the motorhome We camped here in a Motorhome.

The main draw of this campground is the location. Right on a beautiful stretch of wide beach. The night before we arrived, there was a heavy rain in the area. There were large potholes throughout the streets. But in their favor, the next day they did have a grader out spreading more sand and leveling out the roads. It appears to be an ongoing challenge because of the sand/dirt roads. With our 39' motor home, we found the roads challenging but navigable. I would give this park a higher rating were it not for our water pressure, which was just a trickle. We barely got 20 pounds of pressure registered on our gauge. We even tried removing our regulator altogether to see if it would improve. Showers were a real challenge, so was doing the dishes, and flushing our black tank simply wasn't possible. We did ask the office if they could check the water at our site, and the guy they sent out basically looked at it, shrugged, and told me the park was "full". We stayed for 3 days and would have stayed longer if the water situation could have been improved, but as it was the park was full. I can't imagine that the water is that bad normally with so many permanent residents, but maybe they're used to it. We also liked the little tiki deck areas they had next to the sites. They were nice and gave shade, but weren't so large that we had trouble fitting into the site, as in some parks. When we made the reservation we were asked how big our rig was and they actually placed us somewhere according to where we'd fit, which many parks do not. Also the pool is very large and looked clean, but was right next to A1A so you'd have a poor view w/highway noise. We would probably not stay here again, only because of the water pressure problem, and the campground didn't seem very interested in solving the problem. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We found this place in 2006. We liked it and decided to come back for a month in 2007. The roads are narrow and made of sand. The campground pads are individually owned. Some people live on them and other owners rent them out to people. 3/4 of the pads have a park model on them. These park models are for rent. There are not many activities or much of a clubhouse. With that said there are not many ocean front campgrounds and there is a lot to do in St. Augustine. What else do you need. I will be back. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The main feature of this part is location! location!! location!!! Right on the beach. All lots are owned by individuals. Some Park models and many permanent RV's. Interior roads are a bit narrow, but I was able to maneuver our 36' motorhome OK. No activities, but we were not looking for any. Our only complaint of any significance was that too many residents believed the "dog waste" rules did not apply to them. So there was way too much dog waste; not fun when you are returning from the beach in flip flops. No WiFi. So while I don't like the dog situation, we will stay here again next year because of the location. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Bryn Mawr is one of those unique situations where a loop hole in a local zoning law allows a trailer park to be built next to the ocean. Probably eighty percent of the campground consists of permanent park-model trailers. Only the sites closest to the beach and a few other's scattered throughout the campground are available to traveling campers. That being said, maintenance and overall grounds keeping are a lacking a little. The big draw here is, of course, you can camp on the beach, with full hookups, and cable. Not to shabby. Roads within the campground are sand or dirt, but the sites were level and paved, and many feature picnic shelters or decks, which is nice, because there is no shade anywhere. Regarding the staff: We stayed here 4 years ago, and the special of the day was indifference. This time though, everyone was courteous and cordial, a definite improvement. Pool was huge and largely empty of other people during our visit. If you want to camp oceanfront in St. Augustine, this campground is the one. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We called several days ahead to reserve for 3 nights. The young lady who took the information by phone recommended I make the reservations for the max nights to be assured a site. I asked if we had to leave a day early would that be a problem? She said no. A major east coast storm was brewing, we needed to leave a day early - policy was no refunds. Upon relaying the conversation of reserving the site, they did finally relent and credited our VISA. The majority of sites were permanents. The park is located on the Atlantic Ocean. There are 190 lots for camping and the rest are for park model which are also rented. The park has different rates for ocean front, ocean side, and ocean view. The park has one of the largest pools on the island. It also has tennis courts, shuffle board, and a basketball court. For the kids, the video games are plentiful for entertainment. We go to this park many times during the year for our mini-vacations and for longer periods of time in the summer. The ancient city of St. Augustine and the Outlet Malls on 95 provide plenty of entertainment for the whole family. We camped here in a camper.

This is what camping is all about! An older, smaller park with lots of privacy. The trails are great with wildlife abundant. Saw our first Javelina there, or "wild hog" as they're called here. Very quiet and dark, which appeals to us. Staff is very friendly and excited to see new arrivals. A Gem of a spot, a new favorite for us. Water pressure is a bit low, so bring some in your tank as a supplement. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I loved this campground, stayed here for 9 days. Definitely Old Florida. Very quiet, not much to do. Right up my alley. Quite empty during the week, but it filled right up on the weekend. All sites were spacious. There are a few smaller sites but no 'bad' sites. We stayed at site 22 that was very private, but there were many sites that was very nice and I would of been happy at. It is down a 2 mile dirt road into the state park which does get large puddles when it rains. There is a boat ramp in the state park portion along with picnic tables. No playground in the campground. Does have a 1/2 mile nature trail which was nice and it seems to be set up for nature talks. Certainly will stay here again next year. Bathrooms were on the older side but clean. We had a night time raccoon visit when I left a bag of popcorn out on the lounge chair by mistake. St.Augustine is a lovely walking town. Lots to do and see there. They have found a return customer with us as we visit relatives in the area. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We chose site 16 and our 34' TT fit but we couldn't extend our awning. The site had great day time shade due to the tree canopy overhead. I actually had to engage my 4WD to get backed in due to a thick, spongy ground cover made up of a sand and broken shell fragments. This base drained water great and was soft under foot, but clumped badly on sandals/shoes and was hard to keep out of the coach. The CG is literally carved out from a very dense thicket of saw-tooth palm fronds, vines and young trees. You cannot see your neighbor from most sites. This privacy comes with a price however, there is very little breeze. The humid mornings were uncomfortable and the mid-day heat was hard to take. There is ample wildlife and some will come in and climb right into truck beds to dig through your garbage. The wildlife is also probably responsible for the single worst thing about our stay. When we stopped at the unoccupied ranger station to check in there was a small flyer announcing a tick problem. The flyer probably should have said "tick epidemic" because they were literally everywhere, on the road, in the dirt, on every blade of grass and every tree branch. The ticks ranged from the tiny seed ticks to the determined ring-neck. It was an hourly activity to pick them off and dispose. Our dog was covered. However, if you ever wanted to know what Florida probably looked like to the first Spanish explorers, Faver-Dykes State Park probably comes close. This is authentic inland Florida. We hiked a 2.6 mile trail to a vantage point overlooking the Pellicer creek and the trail was very well marked and maintained. It also had the biggest spiders I have every seen. A thin black/yellow beast that from leg-to-leg was larger than my hand. They spun webs about 6' off the ground. It was NOT a fun hike. I wouldn't come back to Faver-Dykes, but I'm glad I experienced it. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We have a 26 ft 5th wheel that is 12ft tall. Getting in and out of this park was somewhat of a trial. There are MANY trees that crowd the nearly (total) 4 miles of the narrow sandy access road to get in and out. While part is separated "one way" the bulk of it is a very narrow 2 lane. Fortunately we met no other vehicles both coming and going. The park is currently VERY dry and has had one recent fire that burned almost a 100 acres (in a remote part of the park) according to the ranger. Power was good, and water pressure was (50 psi). The park ranger (only 1 that we saw) was very friendly and effective but seemed stressed. We had a pleasant stay and visited nearby ST Augustine, about 20 miles away. This was an easy day trip. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Senior resident rate shown. Our third time here, the first time since the new trail opened behind the Rangers office. It is a good hike with the last 1/4 mile or so paralleling the water. The end of the trail is at a great observation point overlooking the water-good picture opportunity. The canoe rental and launch ramp are about 1/4 to 3/8 mile from the campground with the public day areas another 1/4 mile beyond that. Good fishing in Pellicer Creek for both fresh and salt water species. Make sure you have the correct license for the species you catch. If you're a basket weaver like my wife, there are very long pine needles available in the public area and just off the beginning of the new trail about 50 yards down a dirt road off to the left on the left branch of the trail. The old shorter trail between sites at the end is also a nice hike with good views of the water and grass. As usual, Florida State Parks are great-friendly, clean and interesting. We camped here in a Motorhome.

If you want to relax and not do anything this is the place, because there really is nothing to do here. It is a small camping area and each site is private. It is sandy and there are a couple of walking trails, (bring bug spray). There is no TV reception so bring DVDs. It is really 2 miles from the blacktop road to the camping area and a mile from the main road to the dirt road. Makes for a good 6 mile morning walk. There is a boat ramp that is nice and a small play ground. The wife asked that we not go back but it is ok if you like wilderness. We camped here in a Motorhome.

To be fair, some of the problems we had were due to two weeks of rain prior to our arrival. First, the mosquitoes just about carried us away. Second, the road into and through the park are narrow, dirt, and have numerous pot holes. Finally the sites are packed sand and I see no way that even had it not been for the rain that it won't get into your vehicle. Great park if you want to feel like you are camping, not RVing. Sites are large but sometimes complicated by trees that make backing in, setting up a challenge. Dense foliage provides privacy, but at lower level so that they do not block the sun completely. Nice nature trail, boat launch, canoe rental. No laundry facilities, dirt road into the campground is about 2 miles long. About 15 miles to historic St. Augustine sites and to Crescent Beach and grocery shopping. 30 sites with about 80 percent reservable. Campground was full as it was Race week in Daytona. This campground is a bit more rustic than many due to about two miles of dirt road to and through the campground but it worked very well for us. The road is a bit narrow and lumpy but passable. We had site #16 and even though it was not entirely level we didn't have any trouble finding a sweet spot in it and it was very spacious overall with an easy back-in angle; we have a 30 ft class A. Some of the other sites are more narrow. All of the sites are surrounded by trees, palms and other greenery for privacy and shade. Bathhouses a bit outdated but clean with plenty of hot water, hooks and a bench in the shower for your stuff. Hosts are friendly, helpful and kept the sites groomed and the park clean. Dump station was easy to access. St. Augustine is about 15 minutes away, we visited Cabrillo de San Marcos, the Oldest House, the Spanish Quarter, the National Cemetary and Anastasia Island. We also thought that Fort Mantanzas Natl Monument and Bulow Plantation Ruins State Park were easy day trips worth doing. We had quite a bit of rain the night before we left and the road out had some large puddles to drive through but was fine. We liked the wildlife in this park and would visit again but it would be nice if the road were paved. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We love Fl state parks, but Faver-Dykes is just awful! It is far away from St. Augustine,
and everything else. Once you turn into the park, you must drive down a 10 minute dirt road (don't wash your RV or car). There is no check-in, as no rangers were there at all. They did drive up in the morning and left the gate key number for us. Deer flies were awful, and sites were un-level, we had 4 days reservations, but left to boondock on the 2nd day (it was Memorial Day - and nothing else was available). We personally will never visit this campground/state park again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We camped here 2 nights while visiting the St Augustine area. We were traveling with 2 small children. There were no kid facilities (playground), but there was plenty of space for them to ride their bikes. Full hookups were easy to access, sites were clean and reasonably level. We arrived after hours and found our registration on the bulletin board and a big "reserved" cone holding our site. The location is initially rather odd since the park entrance is directly behind a Dollar General store. However, we found it very convenient to have the store there and seemingly so did some other campers! We used our Good Sam discount, so the 30A / full hookup rate was $41 after taxes. Overall, a very good campground. We would consider it again if in the area. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This park has level grass sites on rough winding gravel interior roads and the ambiance of an old campground. Restrooms are very old and worn but clean. Basic utilities are good, Wi-Fi is available but erratic, limited cable channels are available. AT&T phone and data service are available in the area but weak. The office staff was friendly and helpful; the location is good for visiting historic St. Augustine with shuttle service available to the downtown area with purchase of a trolley ticket. The website provides very little information on rates or anything else; the amount shown is based on the weekly rate. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

After we found two other campgrounds full, we landed at Indian Forest. Great choice - the very first thought I had when I walked into the office was "professional". They were friendly and helpful, the rates were reasonable, and we had a pretty decent-size site for our trailer without having to unhook. There was a lot of shade, and it was very quiet. Second time we have stayed at this park; 5 years ago we waited out hurricane Wilma here before heading farther south. Little has changed; still overpriced for what you get, which is basically a spot of sand under trees with full hookups. That said, it's still one of the better values in the area. We had 5 very large ant hills (1' in diameter or more) on our lot, which I quickly sprayed so we wouldn't have any additional travelers in our motorhome. A few notes: 1) buy propane before you arrive it, was $4.35 a gallon here on our stop. 2) If you have roof mounted satellite systems, reserve a spot in advance in the open. I believe there were 5 total that are satellite friendly. 3) If you like ice cream buy it at the grocery store; the going rate on our visit in town was $3.95 for a single dip. This is an "old Florida" park. Nothing fancy. Sand roads and sand lots. But the people in the office were very friendly and helpful, and this made a good spot for what we wanted: a place for our motorhome while we did all the St. Augustine sites. The WiFi is a bit weak, but it works for email and general web surfing. For serious internet, you'll need a cellular data card. Next time we're in St. Augustine, we'll come back here. Good park to use as home base while exploring the St. Augustine area. There is not much to do at the park. Entire park is "in the woods" with lots of trees and shade, but the roads and campsites are all compacted sand/gravel. There are pot holes in the road and a drop-off right after the office when you go from pavement to the gravel road. Site we were at was not level but not too much trouble to get level with putting board under one side of the trailer. Sites are relatively spread out, and it was easy to pull in. Office staff was friendly and helpful. Restroom/shower were old and small but clean. Would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is the second time we stayed here, and I think it's the last. When I was doing laundry behind the office, I believe I saw (an illegal activity) go down right outside of the laundry room. I was by myself and far from my campsite and was very uncomfortable with the situation going on. I was sure glad they left right away. I know it's not the campground's fault, but I like to feel safe when away from home. The one thing positive I can say about this place is they do have immaculately clean bathrooms. We stay here when the very popular Anastasia State Park is full. The hosts are accommodating, and cable TV and WiFi are included, although WiFi can be intermittent depending on campsite location. Most of the roads and all the sites are sand/gravel. Large oak trees shade some sites. It can be noisy near the highway (SR 207) and on motorcycle weekends. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This campground is not well supervised. Cable TV was terrible, fuzzy and cut off frequently. There are many resident "campers" with plastic tented areas, junk sitting all around, tents not allowed but "resident" had several. Sites were full of leaves and sticks. Full time residents allow dogs to roam free and attack guest camper dogs. There are no facilities to speak of. Nothing for children, not even a swing. I will not stay here again and above all do not walk your dog here! If there is a problem after closing: you are on your own. We camped here in a Motorhome.

There was a little highway noise during evening rush hour, but otherwise traffic was no problem. This was really a very clean and nice park! Not as close as some parks were but for the price it's absolutely the best! We camped here 4 days with 2 children... Boy was it cold! But when we came back in the evening from all the activities we enjoyed that the park had cable hook up and wifi! The site we stayed on was really good sized with plenty of room. This was our second visit and will be a regular stop for us when we are heading down the east coast of Florida. The owners/managers are friendly & helpful, and the sites are easy access and large enough to accommodate big rig plus tow. Our site did have 50 amp elec. but no cable, but we have DTV and received a strong signal plus good antennae reception for local channels. Quiet surroundings, but near city with many attractions--what more can you ask for. We did not use the restrooms/bathhouse, but did take advantage of the laundry facilities. There are three laundry stations for the campground, clean and good equipment. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Rather spendy, but that seems to be the trend in this tourist city. The sites were fairly roomy, the highway noise was fairly muted, and the showers were more than fairly in need of new shower heads. The campground is reasonable close to almost everything, which was nice. Not all sites are shaded, so if you visit in the warmer months, be sure to keep this in mind. Our regular park was full so we stayed here. We really liked it and will probably stay here again. The front of the park is close to the roads but have some trees that buffer the noise. That part also has a paved road. We stayed in the back area. The sites were large. We had plenty of room for our class A, 40', w/slides and car. The road is rocky and dusty but the area is surrounded by trees and is very quiet. The pond is algae covered so no swimming. If you are looking for a park with pool, playgrounds, etc. this ain't it. If you are looking for a nice quiet, woodsy, no frill place to stay, I think you'll like it. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We liked this park very much. It is a nice place to stay, to visit St. Augustine. There is no pool, but since we were here to see the surrounding area, that was not a detriment to us. The office (we are not sure if they were the owners) were very helpful, and welcoming. They have a nice laundry. Their address does not show up on our GPS, but if you put in Hilltop, it will take you right to the campground. (actually, coming from the north on 95) We would definitely stay at Indian Forrest again. It is reasonably priced. We stayed one night at a park that charged 55.00 and moved to save $20 a night. Even in Florida, it's really too cold to pay that much to stay near the beach. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Very nice to camp. S tayed at a KOA one night for over 60.00 first time and last time. Found this campground and it was less than that for TWO nights. Would stay here again for sure. There are only a few fire rings in the 73 - 76 spots, wish there were more and those spots have no sewer on site. It was worth it for the campfires! Nice owners.. Good no frills campground - just what we needed for our stay in St Augustine. Large pull-make overnight and longer stays easy with a large rig. The sites are sand/gravel/grass but are level and wide enough for the largest rig. This CG is centrally located for the St. Augustine area and only a few miles from the central city. Indian Forest Campground is within 10 minutes of St Augustine and within an hour of Daytona Beach. It's close to stores and other amenities for traveling RVers. The sites are grass and the roads gravel which is okay until it rains then the roads drain onto the grass and around the RVs. We sloshed through the grass for three days until the runoff dried. Cable is excellent, cellular service 3-4 bars but there is no WIFI. Very pet friendly with lots of places to walk dogs. Park is quiet and clean and the sites typically are large. We enjoyed our stay but think we could do better. We camped here in a Motorhome.

A great little spot, just outside the city limits. (Especially nice, since we came across such a rude jerk at the state campground nearby and came here instead.) A few long-term campers here, but everyone here was very nice, very helpful and very pleasant to be around. (We stayed here over Christmas, and joined in a group pot-luck dinner on Christmas Day.) Great location. Across the road from the beach. Spacious sites, most of them pull-through, with lots of shade. So much shade that it is impossible to tell there is a campground there until you actually drive in! Bathrooms could use an update, but are kept clean. Our rate reflects the weekly rate (one day free). The location of this campground is phenomenal! The Atlantic Ocean is just across the street and the wide river inlet actually touches the campground boundary on the other side. There is the small "village" of Vilano Beach a couple of miles away with a grocery store and a few restaurants, and even 3 restaurants within walking distance. The sites are big and flat with a perfect canopy of oaks and a nice screening of shrubs. Negatives would be sandy roads, sandy sites and a real lack of building maintenance. The office building looks pretty shabby and the laundry rooms have rusty washers and dryers. Each laundry room had a dryer that was just sitting there unplugged because it didn't work. We didn't see any attempt at replacing the broken fixture. When you arrive, head for the south driveway and park in one of the big diagonal spaces. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We enjoyed this campground very much because of its proximity to the ocean and river. There are some nice restaurants nearby as well. The trees and brush make for mostly private sites. The reception staff were great. We didn't give this campground a very high rating because it is over priced, and there is a "hill-billy" settlement in one corner of the campground. The noise from TV with vulgar language and loud voices made two nights a week unpleasant. I suggest staying away from the corner near sites 132, 136, etc. It's too bad the campground management isn't more strict because this is a great place to RV. We camped here in a Motorhome.

North Beach is our favorite campground to date. The staff is friendly, the sites is well laid out and numbered. Most are wooded with good privacy and are good sized. Some sites are pull through and some are back in but there's plenty of room to maneuver. The price we paid represents a site right on the Intracoastal Waterway. We were 50 feet from their fishing dock. Next door is Aunt Kate's restaurant with a walk-through path. Also next door is a bait shop. Beyond that is a county dock and boat ramp. Across the street is the ocean and The Reef restaurant. The on-site pool was good sized and clean. The staff has always been very friendly and helpful. The only downside that we have found is that the sites are all hard packed sand. You definitely need to put out a mat to keep the sand out of your RV. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

The good in this park is the sites are large and easy to get in and out of in any size rig. Most sites have some or a lot of privacy with vegetation between sites and a canopy of trees on the main road into the sites. Cable TV had plenty of channels and we had excellent internet. The location is great, the Atlantic is across the street and river is on the back of the property. And the Park is only 3 miles from downtown St. Augustine. The bad is the park is all sand. Sand sites and sand roads so you have sand in your rig and on it. You can’t open windows because sand comes in. It is on your shoes, it is every where. One neighbor used a leaf blower every day to blow the sand off his stuff. The speed limit is 5 MPH but no one goes 5 so every time someone drives by you get a sand cloud. There is a reason they have no photos of the campsites on their website.There are Ferrel cats running around and we found a full grown dead rat in the middle of the road.This place needs upgrading badly. $60.00 a nite is way overpriced for the condition of the park. We camped here in a cabin because our rig broke down. Reception was very friendly and informative. The pier side of the campground is great. You can fish, kayak or just relax by the water. Bring a flashlight at night. Its really dark. It's very close to St. Augustine. can take a taxi. The cabins were relatively clean. The TV had basic cable. This was our third visit to North Beach Camp Resort. We have always had an excellent experience camping with them. Love that you can be on the beach (across A1A) or fishing in a matter of minutes. Our grandson's favorite place is the fishing dock on the river. Out of state residents can fish off their dock without a license. If you drive to the beach, there is a parking area on the beach side. Booked a week and ended up staying 12 nights as it was the start of our third 6 month period here from the UK, and it was a good place to unwind. The site is peaceful and private and a minute's walk to either the beach or the jetty, which has a little bar and restaurant where you can watch a sunset and enjoy a cold beer. The Reef restaurant is on the beach, we only went once but found it quite overpriced. Very helpful staff and we particularly liked pitch no. 55 as it was in a little cul-de-sac with its own showers and laundry, etc. You can book a shuttle into nearby St Augustine which is definitely worth visiting. Only problem is it stops at 4.30 p.m. but a taxi back only costs about 15 dollars. Excellent Wi-Fi. Would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Have you been to Hawaii? Well, when you drive into the park to go to your site, you will think you were in Hawaii. The lush vegetation is beautiful! You enter your private site and you don't see anyone or hear anyone next to you. That is because of all of the lovely trees and bushes. The site is level and extremely easy to drive into and out. Okay, we were not able to put up our awning all the way, because of the surrounding foliage at our spot. We didn't want to hurt any of it. It was fine with us and didn't cause any problem. The river was just steps away from us and there is a private walking and fishing dock for our use. There are restaurants walking distance, really, just steps away from our Travel Trailer: perhaps five minutes at the most. They have a wonderful pool area, outside game area and all of this is away from your site! Just walking around their property will have you relaxing immediately. We did have to use our vehicle to get to the sightseeing places and that is not a negative thing to say. This campground is just far enough away and extremely quiet from the tourist areas. Just 4.5 mile North of St. Augustine and nestled between the North River and A1A (with the Atlantic Ocean right across the A1A) these sites offers beautiful sunrises and sunsets. The RV sites are secluded and shaded. The staff is very friendly. On the beach, across the street from the campground is a nice restaurant and bar, and on the other side of the campground, right on the river is casual dining and bar service. All of the "comforts" of home. Our two small dogs enjoyed their first encounter with the ocean surf. The resort is very nice and I enjoyed it, but I do think it is a little pricey. My wife is looking forward to coming back with the grandkids. I'm looking forward to simply coming back! We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a great park. We really enjoyed our 4 day stay and plan to stay longer next time. The sites are private and large. We had good vegetation between us and our neighbors who were generally friendly. The fishing pier, beaches (River and Ocean) and the long paths for walking were all enjoyable. A good park store and friendly staff - not overly so but professional. Why only an 8? Our site had poison ivy growing among the native shrubbery and there was more trash than there should have been among the bushes. Having signs asking not to litter obviously isn't enough. I know it is a BEACH camp, but if the sites could be partially paved to reduce the tracking of sand that would be a serious plus, but it isn't enough for a downgrade. We didn't use the restaurants but they looked fine. Cap's is just too good and right next door. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We enjoyed the park very much. We have a 30' fifth wheel, DW, and 3 dogs. Our site number was 108, which was plenty roomy, but backed up to a permanent looking camp looking junky. I asked if we could move, but ended up staying there. I later spotted several larger sites (pull through and back in) that were very nice. If you look at their layout, anything on the right side going in was nice. The intercoastal was on the back with a fishing pier and a small beach. The ocean was across the street. Nice pool, shuffle board, laundry, activity building, and bath houses. Lots of natural growth between most sites. Grocery stores, restaurants, and St. Augustine are minutes away. Nice friendly people staying there. We found a dog park near there also. Price on the high end but nice location. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Excellent campground in a scenic area. Sandy roads and campsites, which I loved. Lots of room between campers with heavy underbrush creating an isolated feeling. From my motorhome, I couldn't even see another RV due to the thick foliage, even though there were others nearby. "It's a jungle out there." The location is on the river on one side and across the street from the beach and the Atlantic Ocean on the other side. Two nice restaurants are within walking distance. The only negative is the useless wi-fi. I took my laptop and sat beside the wi-fi equipment and the wi-fi connection worked well. As I walked away while using the laptop, I lost the signal within 30 feet! I could see the wi-fi equipment antenna, but I doubt if it was connected to anything. Even though I was within line-of-sight of the antenna, there was no detectable signal. The wi-fi equipment looked to be very professional and heavy duty, but it didn't work very well. Despite the wi-fi problem, I'll be back. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We live 20 minutes away and come here to get away from our weekend chores. All of the sites are lovely here, with canopies of moss-draped oaks. Waterfront is best. The sunset is fantastic and almost every Saturday there's an airshow going on. Fish on the dock, walk either of the beaches, or kayak. Take a spin on your bike. Or just soak in the heated pool/hottub. Have dinner at either waterfront restaurant. It's so pretty and relaxing here. Send the kids off to play and sit back. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We enjoyed this campground: staff was very friendly. Had the three grandkids with us and most of the time stayed all day in St. Augustine or at the mall, great historic area. Watch pulling onto your site; ours was a little sand soft, and I had to avoid one spot; we sort of sunk in a little. The grounds were well maintained with quiet environment, trees and shrubs between sites giving some privacy. The only reason I gave it an 8 was because the highway that separated the campground and the beach was very busy with fast traffic You really had to watch carefully crossing this highway. The second reason was Wi-Fi. Although it was available, we didn't have a signal at our site; had to go to the office to get the signal. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park is very overpriced for what you get. The rate should only be $35 a night at most.The sites are sand and full of ant beds. The only positive is that they are fairly level, subject to rainfall. Bathrooms are very old and in great need of updating. Based on their location, this park would have people waiting in line to get in here if they would just get rid of the ants, rake the sites in between stays, trim & clean out foliage and update their facilities. There is no Wi-Fi but cable reception is good. Very dense foliage. Not sure we will be back. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park is a long way from what I would call a Resort. Dirt streets, sand lot sites, no water front as stated in the ad, the beach is across the highway, no Wi-Fi. No grass area for pets. Heavily wooded making the sites very dark and gloomy. Not even close to being worth the price they charge. It is raining and the sand is sticking to everything and splashing up on the motor home. North Beach Camp Resort is a terrific camp ground. Most of the sites are large and several are well shaded by a oak hammock. We stayed there for 2 months and thoroughly enjoyed it! We had a great time at this resort. Staff was friendly and very helpful. The site was one of the biggest I've ever seen (site #17a) even though it was a back in, it was huge. The pool was heated and nice and the beach was right across the street. The resort was booked full when we stayed but the sites were secluded and very quiet at night. The only complaint is the same as everyone else, the roads the sites the sidewalks all sand. With that in mind it would not keep us away if we can get reservations we will be back next year. Great location but entire cg is sand, no pavement anywhere. Rained while we were there and roads had standing water everywhere. Bathhouses were very old but clean. Playground is dilapidated and useless. Pool was nice but we didn't use it, too cold. Would rate higher if not for all the dirt/sand. It is definitely not a resort but I guess they can charge "resort" rates because of the location. I am really enjoying this campground. It's nestled between the North River and the Atlantic Ocean, so you've got water, sunrises and sunsets. The campsites are all pretty private and shaded. The bath house is fine, nothing fancy. They have a small laundry facility. The campground itself is about five miles from downtown St. Augustine and one of the local tour companies has a free shuttle that will pick you up and take you downtown if you buy one of their incredibly inexpensive tours (good for three consecutive days). For less than $25, I can go back and forth and around the historic district for three days. I will definitely come back here. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We read some of the reviews and decided to give it a shot. We use our own bathroom and shower in our rig; that's why we bought one. We thought the campground was one of the best campgrounds we have been in quite a while. The sites were beautiful and so were the tree lined streets. I think some people must confuse beach camping to a beach resort like the Ritz or Marriott. I think for less than fifty bucks a night you got free electric, free cable, free water, you were within walking distance to two great restaurants the beach and the intercoastal waterway. You get sand on your feet going to the beach or the pool, and you have to clean them off yourself, its camping. Go have fun and leave your computers home. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We have stayed here several times and decided it was time to let others know what a great park this is. The ocean is on one side and river in back where you can fish off the pier. The sites are large and everyone we have stayed in had shrubs and trees in between so you are not on top of each other and private. The sites are packed sand, we use our big rug to keep down the tracking of sand in the camper. The pool and hot tub are very nice. We have been here in June and Sept, we have no kids so we prefer to go then and have less crowds. Good shelling and love everything about this park and St. Augustine. We were there for Thanksgiving last year and saw the white lights downtown. Beautiful. The beach is dog friendly which is important to us also. We have never had any issues here and highly recommend to anyone. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Well laid out park with secluded sites and some permanent residents. The bathrooms are old and outdated, the laundry room had a machine tied up with duct tape. The small trash cans were always overflowing. Wi-Fi was spotty. Has lots of trees and palms around the sites, was very quiet at night. Handy for beach and Aunt Kates Restaurant: good view, and a nice deck to sit out on and watch the water and boats. The CG was expensive, but in line with the rest of the area. We really enjoyed this park. The sites are a nice size and separated by nice foliage. We were not expecting WiFi at the site, but we had it, and it worked great. It has a nice heated pool and hot tub. We really liked being able to cross the street and see the sunrise on the beach over the ocean and then see the sunset on the river pier while fishing. There 2 restaurants that border the property. The Reef, on the ocean side and Aunt Kates on the river side. Both have happy hours and great food. We would stay here again. This is a great campground. We had a site right by the river. Sunsets were amazing. It was great to have two restaurants essentially on site...Kates and The Reef. The Reef had the all time best happy hour and appetizers. Food was great, service was great, views were great. The campground was quiet, incredible number of trees...old oaks. The roads and sites are sand/grit, but are level and firm. The campground is nearly hidden in thick water oaks which will make satellite signals difficult. The roads are narrow and we found it challenging getting into our site. But once in it was long, private, and wide. When we asked about Wi-Fi we were given a full typed page that on later reading explained that Wi-Fi doesn't work well near water and in other conditions. When I asked about this at the office I was told that they don't have Wi-Fi but at the office. This was a big disappointment, particularly the long explanation of why they don't have it under circumstances that many others do. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Having read previous reviews on North Beach Camp Resort, we thought it was likely the best RV site in St. Augustine. I would tend to agree with both the negative and the positive sides of other posted reviews. This RV park is in a great location, easy walk to the ocean, quick drive to St. Augustine. Although reviews and brochures mention the restaurant on the ocean, when we arrived it was closed for renovations. The grounds are well shaded, and easy access, but complicated to find sites because of the one way streets. Staff friendly, but not especially invested in the comfort of their guests. The Wifi does not work properly. Although we got a clear connection, it's our sense that there's a glitch in the system and they have not properly programmed their system so guests can use computers unless they take them to the office area. We were assured they would look at the situation, but did not follow through. I agree with other reviews about bathrooms needing updating, but they were clean...that said, the dryers don't work properly, and we ended up spending $22.00 to do 3 small loads of laundry because they are double priced compared to other RV Parks, and also the dryers don't do their job. One of them would not stop when I opened the door to remove the wet clothing so I could put it in a workable dryer. A staff member walked through and I told her I was struggling to get my clothes out and transferred, and she mentioned that this particular dryer did that. Well, if it does that, why not get it fixed? I also agree that the facility offices as well as the bath facilities need sprucing up as it is looking shabby. Since we needed computer access to plan our travels, we moved on 4 days early. Would I recommend this RV Park? I would because the sites are nice, it's quiet, and close to water, but beware of the computer situation, don't plan to have dinner at the restaurant on the ocean side of the Park in the near future, and bring an abundance of quarters if you plan to do laundry. We absolutely loved this campground. The campground is beautiful and nestled in between the Atlantic Ocean and the Intercoastal Waterway. The sites and the roads are mostly sand and crushed shells, but didn't feel too soft anywhere. Most of the sites are very shady, which in FL is awesome. WiFi was available but really only in the office (which was set up with several tables and places to sit and use a laptop). The bath houses are in need of a serious update. The water pressure was good, and having a sewer hook up was very nice. The cable was OK, but not crystal clear. The campground was VERY quiet even though it was nearly fully occupied. The trees and bushes really help to cut down noise. I found the office staff to be very courteous and helpful. The pool was always clean, but the jacuzzi wasn't operating properly. It was ICE cold. There were some slightly trashy looking seasonal sites, as well, but with the heavy growth around each site, you really couldn't see them very well, so they didn't bother us at all. I will DEFINITELY be returning to this campground whenever I get the chance. Very glad that we stayed here and found this great campground. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Very enjoyable! This was our first stay here and despite the fact that I came down with a cold, that I still have; and it was one of the hottest Mothers Day weekends in May to date; we enjoyed ourselves very much! Everyone was very nice (campers and staff), the beach was very close, the intercoastal was clean, and overall the park itself was in relatively good shape! The restrooms were a little run down (broken towel bars, peeling paint, broken stall locks), but were kept very clean by friendly staff! The main building and the pool/jacuzzi need a fresh coat of stain/paint and some general upkeep. Word of Warning! Do not show up early or you'll be charged for a half day!! We were a couple hours early and you would have thought that we had been caught with our hands in the cookie jar! Fortunately they had mercy on us and didn't charge us the half day fee. Many of the signs throughout the park have seen better days, but they appear to be slowly updating! They just recently added several new sites on the north side of the park and they put new picnic tables at all the sites (they're kind of small though, maybe seat 6). Many shaded sites, many unshaded sites. We will be returning again someday soon! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

A very nice, clean campground. We stayed in the newer section near the river this visit. The sites are wide and sufficient for your camper, canopies, and tables. The sites are a mixture of sand and shells, so bring a broom and mats. The ocean is across the street and the river runs along the back of the campground. Fishing, swimming, and boating are all good. Nice to see other dog owners (lots) being good stewards and picking up after their dogs. Map was inaccurate, as there is only one pier, which is the one near the bait shop. Very nice secluded beach with fine white sand on the river side. For the fishermen campers out there, leave the lures home -- everyone here uses bait, with rods that are like telephone poles! Wonderful sites if you like seclusion (we do), with lots of foliage. Would have rated higher if bathrooms/showers were better. Rusty showerheads, backed-up toilets reduced the rating. The best thing about this park is the location across the highway from the beach on one side and next to the river on the back side. All sites have privacy due to thick trees and brush. The sites are very large and level, but the roads are all sand. The facilities are outdated, the laundry machines are old, inefficient and expensive. The staff was friendly. I have to preface this by saying that I got my motorhome stuck in the sand, so that fact is going to influence my review a great deal. We pulled in at dusk and were directed to the site they assigned to us. We had reserved a 50 amp site suitable for our 40' rig, which they knew. As soon as I pulled into the site, my back wheels sank into the soft sand, and I was stuck. The only help they gave me was by handing me a phone book to call a wrecker. The wrecker came up and winched me out to the tune of $275. The only thing the campground people said was "we've never had anyone else ever get stuck in this site." Well, they've obviously never put a 34,000 Lb Class A in that site before. That's all there was; no coupon for a free lunch, no discount on my overnight stay, nothing. Had it been light out, I never would have pulled into the site (a pull-through). I never had a chance, pulled perfectly straight into the site and instantly sank the back four wheels. There was no attempt whatsoever to help out. Very poor customer service. I'll never stay here again for that reason. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Nice park. Very friendly staff. The roads and sites are all coarse sand so you have to deal with that. Both the inter-coastal waterway and the Atlantic Ocean are within walking distance so there's lots of fishing potential. There are two nice restaurants within walking distance of the campground. We stayed here for a month and had a really great time. The other snowbirds that were in the camp were very friendly and easy to get along with. We already have our reservations for next year. I was pleasantly surprised with North Beach! Very, very clean! They are still developing sites 111, 113, 115, 117, 119, 121, 123, 125, 127, and 129, but most of the other site are very clean, shady, and have all the amenities I was looking for. The river-side sites are a little more expensive and have little shade, but have a nice view. The only drawback to the resort is that the beach is directly across the road (A1A), just be careful! Ocean across Hwy A1A and intercoastal waterway on the other end of the park. 2 very good restaurants within walking distance. Many residents but park is neat and tidy. Park water has sulphur smell and taste but apparently not harmful. Locals say it tastes good. Propane available between 12-12:30 pm and 4-4:30 pm daily unless it rains (lightning issues) or you can leave your tank unattended on the office porch and staff may fill it. I guess I lived too long in a big city as leaving our relatively new 40# propane alone seemed like an invitation to steal. Courtesy Gas on Hwy. 16 also sells propane. Office staff not particularly friendly or helpful. WiFi available only at office despite what office staff may tell you upon requesting reservations. Privacy scarce when using WiFi in office. Rate listed based on monthly rate and includes 9% occupancy tax and electricity at $.14/kw. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice park. When I arrived there were campers, boats, trucks everywhere was barely able to get in parking lot. Staff was friendly and led me to my site. As he was directing me through the security gate there were so many vehicles I ended up scraping the side of my 5th wheel on a pole trying to watch to many things at once. There are trees everywhere I had a pull thru that was a little bit of a challenge not to scrape on the trees at the site. While it was a nice place I will not go back. Plus after getting home I realized they overcharged me for the site. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This resort is a great choice in the late fall if you like short walks to both ocean and bay beaches, treed sites, temperatures in the 70's, privacy with well screened sites, room enough for big rigs, fishing, a short ride to the sights and shops of St .Augustine and a 2 hour jaunt to Orlando. Site preferences are given to clients of the MAYO clinic so you may not get the one promised. We did and were guaranteed a site once a deposit was made. It IS a beach type campground not a resort type so be warned. Gravel/sand roads wind through fairly dense trees, palmettos, etc. The pullthrough sites would have been nice but I was given a back-in, number 95 and it was a real challenge getting that baby backed in. Narrow road and big tree limbs must be watched carefully...I didn't really think I could do it. Cable signal was weak but maintenance man showed up with a portable TV and proved it was OK. Still not good in camper even though I haved hooked up to many cable systems just prior to this one with no trouble. Weak signal coming out of the box. Forget about the satellite unless you are in a lucky spot...too many trees. No Wifi at sites I was told but they did have it around the office area. I lucked out and got it at my site, although a very weak but usable signal. Beach was nice, water was warm, they do allow dogs on the beach which was a nice surprise. Lots of shells. Interesting beach walk on the river side. Lots of people have rented sites for the summer and leave their rigs here, and lots of permanent type people on the back. All fairly neat. St. Augustine was very interesting, although most restaurants are expensive and if you don't drink you are in the minority. Park probably needs a little work...site was not level and had to use a board under tires. Very dark, which I liked, and very quiet. Pool was nice and warm. Office staff was friendly and store was OK. If you like beach type camping then this is for you. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We were disappointed with this campground which we chose after reading reviews on this site. We thought that the campground was becoming a bit dated and run down and was overpriced for what you got. The buildings are clean, but rather old and the dock is basically falling apart - I wouldn't feel safe letting a young child on it. The ocean is just across the street, however, most of the beach is very rough sand. The water was still quite cool when we were there - the waves were a lot of fun, but we could not swim, and my youngest son did not go into the water because of the undertow. The pool area was nice and the staff were very friendly and helpful. There is a lounge area with TV, books, puzzles and an arcade room - however, the games looked fairly old. Our site (#3) was long and narrow, we had a complete wall of foliage on one side, however, we had to keep our blinds down on the other side or we were staring at our neighbours. The sites further to the back appeared to be more private and a bit wider. You are provided with a code for the gate, however, the "arm" of the gate coming into the park was missing so anyone could drive in. You are also provided with a code to the laundry room/restrooms which were locked once the office was closed - however, it was sometimes difficult to get it. The door also locked a number of times throughout the day and if you didn't know the code, you had to walk around to the office and go down the stairs. There was a spot in the laundry room to hook up computers. Cell phones did not work very well in the campground. We will not likely return to this campground. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is a nice campground. We were just expecting a little more. We enjoyed ourselves . The staff was friendly and let me change sites when our first site was to small to get into. The pool was nice. I liked all the trees and vegitation. But there were some things I did not like. There is a sulfur smell to the the water around the pool area and gate. Also the beach was not very nice. I know the east coast of florida is not the caribbean but i was expecting more. We did go to St. Augustine Beach about 5 miles down A1A and found a nice public beach though and the town of St. Augustine was really interesting and fun for my family. Overall it is a pretty good campground just not great. I would stay there again but it would not be a destination trip though. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

A really well maintained, nice campground. I liked the space and relative privacy. Bathrooms were clean and well stocked except for later in the day when there was no soap to wash hands. Nearby Guana river SP is really nice and well worth it. I am not privy to St. Augastine, mostly for women with all the shopping. Lots of attractions but EXTREMELY congested and packed. The downsides are small; people walking through our campsite to get to the fishing pier and some screaming children. But not nearly as bad as other places. The weather was much colder (visited in February of 2004) here than in St. Augastine (city) since you are right next to the beach. From this CG the beach sounds like a low drone instead of waves. Mostly very old folk grace this CG. I'm in my 30's and felt a tad awkward. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

We really loved this campground. It was highly recommended by a fellow camper, so we were not disappointed. The roads throughout the campground were filled with overhanging trees and between the sites lots of foliage to provide privacy! Our pull thru site must have been 60 feet or more long and very level. The ocean was across the road, had lots of shells and was gorgeous. The backside of the campground is on the North River, with a fishing pier and boat dockage, and bait shop. There was a nice restaurant across the road as well. Probably one of our favorite campgrounds we have seen. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Each site is large and level, with plenty of lush greenery that provides the camper with a sense of solitude and privacy. When you first drive in, you aren't bombarded with the site of countless campers. Instead, you drive down a quiet, tree-lined drive. Showers and bathrooms were always clean. This is a well maintained park that is mostly seasonal campers. We stayed overnight here in April of 2003. We were late getting out of Orlando and we called the camp office at about 8:30 pm, to let them know we would be arriving late. The office was already closed. We pressed on and arrived about 10:30 pm. We contacted the park's anwering service, but they did not know what to do. The park was gated, so we could not enter the park. After about 15 minutes, one of the local residents came by and let us in the gate and gave us the combination to the restrooms. We finally found an unoccupied site. The park's resident manager came by a few minutes later. The sites were good sized and the park was clean. The restrooms and showers were clean, but could use some updating. There is a small playground and a swimming pool. The park is across the road from the ocean. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

Stayed here four nights to explore St. Augustine, which is about 15 miles away. This place is just fine - it's decent, clean, and quiet. Easy in. Good state highways all the way from I-95. Easy entrance but the inside road to the office and check-in narrows near the waterfront. You can turn around and/or get through. We had no trouble with a 36' motorhome and toad. This is really a riverfront fishing camp & campground with mostly dedicated spots for long-term seasonals (like fishermen!). We were directed by a really sweet office girl to the short-term spots on the far end - away from the riverfront. Only problem we had AT ALL was the satellite TV dish wouldn't pick up any signals (we only have a rooftop dish)- too many trees...like that's a bad thing! Our $22 a night rate (total, tax and all) was Passport America (PA), regular rate is $44. VERY few restrictions on the PA, just call them & see! We camped here in a Motorhome.

As other reviewers have said, the campground's facilities are somewhat run-down, with some decaying buildings, but the camping is still great here. It's a bit of "old Florida", not fancy, not loaded with amenities, but very mellow and pleasant. The park is mostly residential, but the transient area is recently refurbished, grassy, and well-kept. Unlike a lot of old parks, we had good voltage from the 30-amp power. The Trout Creek waterfront area (a long walk from the transient sites) is very peaceful. We saw lots of ducks, egrets, a heron, turtles, and a group of about eight manatees! Chickens and feral cats roam the property freely. Tables, campfire rings, and room for family picnics is available waterside, and the staff were universally friendly. We paid $30 + $3 for an extra person, full hookup, and after 3 days were wishing we could stay longer. We will come again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

A "mix bag," as some would say. The best part was Trout Creek: the RV park's setting is absolutely gorgeous!! We were in site #5, which is what they refer to as "waterfront." Also, our closest neighbors and the folks hanging out in front of the office ("the regulars," I guess you'd call them) were all very friendly. The staff was friendly and one of the gals working here, let us borrow her own extension water hose when ours wouldn't reach, which we really appreciated. But the place is very old and run-down. We have a 40' motorhome, and we were just barely able to make the turn into the RV park. From the direction we came from, going towards the office was nearly a U-turn! If you're not a super driver, and you're large, go somewhere else and un-hook before entering! Otherwise, I would highly recommend unhooking as soon as you come to the wide, straight section before the office, and just go on foot to find the office/take care of the paperwork, etc. The office is not obvious and has smaller roads going around it. And having extension hoses with you is also not a bad idea. In order to have our water and sewer hoses reach, we would've had to back our RV up so far, its rear end would've hung up on a burm. So we opted to go without sewer hook-up and to get an extra water hose. Fortunately, we got the loaner water hose, and we ended up being able to JUST reach the sewer hook-up with our hose stretched tight and one person working each end so were able to dump a couple times during our stay. The real price was $38/night because of the tax added on, so I think the price was too high for what we got. However, after all that, the spot was so beautiful, I'm very glad we stayed here! The frogs made so much noise at night: I loved that too! One of the fishermen also pointed out a manatee swimming along the river's edge! And if you go into St. Augustine itself and like alligators at all, go to The Alligator Farm. It's awesome!! Not a farm at all, more of a small zoo focusing on gators, crocs and conservation. It's also been around so long it's an official historic site! One of the great parts here is the swamp, where native birds (herons, egrets, storks, roseate spoonbills) nest right above the gators! It was also baby bird season while we were here, and we were able to get within feet (sometimes inches!) of several nests, many containing already-hatched babies!! We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is an old campground that once was the top of its class but has been let go. Everyone was friendly except for one person. There are a lot of permanent residents and many seasonals. All were nice and we had no problems. We stayed here for a month. Wi-Fi in the office, only some reception if close by. Level sites on grass, few concrete patios. Mostly shaded, open space in far back. To bad it is rundown, could be nice. Bring a boat and fish the St John. Still I would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Rate reflects a Passport America rate for a 50 amp site. This park is adjacent to the Flea Market which operates on week-ends and is affliated with the flea market. Lots of long term residents but the management has strict rules about junk being stored outside of their rigs, so the park is neat and tidy. Another rule was the speed in the park, but lots of folks didn't pay any attention to it because cars drove by our rig at high rates of speed. The plusses to this park is that it wasn't far from the historic district of St. Augustine and there were restaurants and Walmart under 10 miles away. We would stay here again but probably not on a weekend. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is the fourth year we have stayed at St. John's RV Park, but it will be our last. In the past the incentive to stay here was the close location to St. Augustine, and the Passport America rate of $15. per night. This year that rate has increased 60%, to $24.20 with tax, and no improvements to the park can be seen. The shower/bathrooms used to be clean, but now not so much. In the women's shower, only one of the 4 fluorescent tubes lights, so shower before sunset. The water pressure in one of the two showers in men's side is dismal at best. Last year we had great cable reception bringing in 69 channels; this year it is 37 and they are all analog. There isn't any kind of channel guide, so a lot of searching is needed. The laundry room always has at least one machine on the fritz; last year it was a dryer, this year a washer. The machines are old top loaders with small capacity so the $1.75 they are charging for one load seems a bit steep. We found a nice place in town (the "Laundry Room") and were all done in a little over an hour. My biggest complaint is the sewage smell coming from one of the nearby permanent residents. It appears that his sewer hose may have a leak. I made a comment to the office the first day here, and was told their man would check to see if any of the sewer connection seals were loose. Five days later I asked again if they had found the problem, but was told: "They are working on the sewer lines." When I told her the smell was coming from just one place, she said she would have someone take a look at it. In less than 10 minutes, here comes a golf cart with a park employee. He walked over, stood 4 feet away and looked at it. I could have done that! When we think of all the places we have stayed for less money, and what those places offered, we have decided we will not be returning. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Small clean park next to a weekend flea/farmer's market. Our site was water/electric only on grass but comfortable and quiet. They have some nice RV sites up front, but we came in under Passport America and were sent to the back, among long term mobile homes and park models. This was a stop over place to facilitate getting our coach serviced at Camping World. The price in the Passport America web site was $16.00. At check in time there was at least four (4) add-ons. There was some road noise from the nearby highway but it wasn't annoying to us at night. This park has several old campers in various levels of decay that detracted from the appearance. On check-in they said they'd had a rate increase from the advertised PA rate. Still a pretty good value compared to other parks in this area, but at full price I'd stay elsewhere. The price is Passport America cost. The site was reasonably level with a table and benches. A shuttle picked us up, took us to St. Augustine for our sightseeing expeditions and home again. Rate reflects PA. We had site A6 which allowed our TV & 26 ft FW to just fit. I was unable to hook up sewer, but was only there for three nights and dumped when we left. They do have a small lake on the property where you can fish from a covered patio. Our site was gravel and was level both side to side and front to rear. There was road noise but not to bad. There were 20 sites for transients with services. The other sites were for long term renters. If you arrive late, there is space in an open field where you can dry camp. This park is very basic. Mostly long term and a couple of rows for transients. One row has full hookups and paved; the other grass with no sewer and non-working cable (the cable was there, but did not work.) Site 9A had bad power. Our surge guard indicated open ground. 50 amp and 30 amp same. Power was stopped by the guard, so we had to drag our power cord to the next site and plug into their 30 amp. We got by. Notified the office. They came and checked and said nothing was wrong. Be careful! Great grass field to run the dog. Internet worked very well. Overall for the money, an okay place to stay for a few nights while visiting St. A - only about 10 minutes to town. Convenient to I-95 We camped here in a Motorhome.

St John's is a multi-purpose complex. The portion of their property that backs up to the interstate is the flea market and is only open on the weekends. We visited, but bought nothing. It's definitely more 'flea market' than 'yard sale' type merchandise. There is a short road (gated) with a pond that connects the flea market to the campground. In the campground, there is the 'main row' that is a set of only a couple pull-through sites. These sites are extremely long cement slab (but very broken/cracked) sites. On each side of the 'main row' there are several more back-in sites in the grass. Some of these are 30a and some do not have sewer. Then there are several more rows for the permanent/long term residents. They do a background check for these residents and we had absolutely no problems. No rowdy people, no parties, no noise at all, really. The RV sites themselves are far enough from the road where you aren't disturbed by the road noise although you do hear it. Electric was fine, good water pressure, easy hookups, pretty good cable TV. (It got fuzzy a few times; and ask for an adapter in the office if you need one. It's just a piece of cable coming out of the ground. They will provide male-male connectors.) Has blazing fast WiFi. (12Mbps, when it worked. Dropped often.) Clean but simple bathrooms/showers, decent (but pricey) laundry. Very friendly in the office and they have plenty of maps/coupons. Overall, we enjoyed our 2 week visit. They have an excellent rate via PA and are the perfect distance for visiting St Augustine. I could work via Wi-Fi but needed by Sprint card as a backup since it dropped often (the internet connectivity, not the routers). Very basic, older park but met our needs as a home to visit St Augustine. We'd stay here again if we were in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Not fancy but what a deal for $13.50 using Passport America for four nights. Very clean, quiet, very green-grassy, well-maintained. Bathrooms and showers not fancy but very clean and in very good condition. Staff were nice. We stayed in #A13. (30 amp, no sewer or cable in that area. There are full hookups in other sites.) We were on the grass and out in the open with a pretty view of the large grassy area and forest of trees. Located 0.2 miles off I-95 but surrounded by trees not the typical freeway stuff. Would definitely recommend unless you're looking for fancier/more amenities or near the ocean. Only downside of course is the bugs morning and night. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We used Passport America for our 3 night stay at this park. We paid a $2 surcharge for 50 amp. All hookups were in good working order, but we did not connect to their cable so can't comment on that. We also did not use their bath house. This is not a fancy resort, but for basic needs, it worked for us. We appreciated the free shuttle service offered by the trolley tour. The check-in was very easy and the lady at the desk was very pleasant. Once at our site, we noticed all the cable vision cables had been cut. Our water pressure was the worst I had ever seen. The water just dripped out of the shower and spigots. No fires were allowed, even with the fire pit we had brought. There was plenty of room to pull in and park. The park was very quiet. It looks as though much of the park is used as storage. There was quite a few permanent residents. They were kept in another area. The park is part of a flea market, however, there is a wooded area that acts as a buffer between the two. We had used this park to explore St. Augustine, seven miles away. For that, it was perfect. We stayed 8 days at St. John's RV Park for our second visit. The park is located about 7 miles from downtown St. Augustine. Half of the RVs parked there are permanent residents and further back are RVs being stored. Most of the larger RVs are located in their open field area with cement pads but little shade. The Verizon Air card worked well here, and they also have free WI-Fi and cable. The restrooms were very clean, but there is no heat, and when the temps fell into the 40's you feel like you are showing outdoors. The laundry room is usable, but nothing special. The staff was helpful and friendly, but the office is staffed only during certain posted times. If you check in when they are not in, they have an honor system, and the sites available are indicated on the front door. The weekend flea market next door was an interesting experience. One of the local trolley tours will come and pick you up at the campground if you wish to take their tour. This campground may not be the nicest place we have stayed, but the price and location make up for it. Our price was with a PA discount plus additional discount for staying longer than 7 days. We will stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Arrived on May 16 and stayed through the 19th. Sites are mostly back in but are wide and long enough for most any unit. The sites are grassy on a hard packed surface. Entrance is 1/10th mile east of exit 311 on I-95. The sign is there but not easy to see, and campground sits back a hundred yards or so off the highway. You need to look carefully as soon as you exit and turn right from North bound I-95 or on the left as soon as you pass under the I-95 if coming from the North. The office is only open 8:00 - 10:30am and 1:30 to 6:00pm, but I did notice that these appear to be flexible as the office staff may choose. Overall, I would say this offers everything a retired couple looking to see St Augustine would need. Full hookups, Wi-Fi (excellent) and 60+ cable channels (many not of any value, but CBS, NBC, and ABC were good.) Staff, when in the office, is very helpful and courteous. If I had a need to stay in the area again I would be quite happy with this park. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We arrived with reservation at 6:30 pm and found office closed. The site map was taped to office door. This park is advertised on I-95 but we would not have been able to stay if we just pulled off the highway. The signage for park is not easy to see from the road and we almost missed it. We had a 31' class A motorhome and had difficulty parking it due to tight spacing for backing up. There are a lot of poorly maintained RV's that look like they have been here a long time. In the back are some permanent mobile homes in dire need of repair. We had originally planned on staying for two nights but after seeing park decided only to stay for one. We were not impressed. St. John’s had overnight and short-term RV spots that were very nice for the money (Passport America rate). Our pull-through space was paved and level: It was a breeze to get in and set up and then pull out at the end of our two-day stay. The park was near most things to do in St. Augustine—the Spanish Quarter, Fort Matanzas and Castillo San Marcos, for example. The exceptionally clean bathrooms smelled cheerfully of bleach. The gazebo and lake were attractive, but the majority of the campground was full of long-term campers with dubious-looking rigs. In addition, about half of the campground area was storage for RVs, boats and trailers. This campground was attached to an active flea market, although the two were not very close together. We visited the flea market, and it was large and interesting. I would stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here for 3 nights on the way to the Keys, and thought it was a great value! I would call this more of a "trailer park" campground than a "woodland setting". It's not a place I'd take the kids and consider myself "roughing it". Some campgrounds are family activity focused. You know the type: the Yogi Bear places. Some are scenic/woodland setting places. The dry-camping state parks and small woodland campgrounds. Then there are places, where the majority are permanent residents up on blocks, "activities" means doing your laundry, and your closest neighbor is the highway. No complaints though! This was an excellent value for the money: right off the highway, full hookups for very reasonable rates, better Wi-Fi connectivity than any other park I've been in (it's faster than my home connection), and a close drive to St. Augustine. I wouldn't stay here for 2 weeks of family-bonding "roughing it". I would definitely stay here again to visit St. Augustine and/or on the way through the area. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

A very nice campground, however it appears there are only about 10 sites available for overnighters. Very few with full hook ups and 50 amps. Some sites with 50 amps and water, no sewer. They do allow a portable dump tank. The staff is especially nice and helpful. Some of the sites are grass sites and some are hard sites. We were on a grass site, 50 amp no sewer. This is a really good stop over park as it is very near the Interstate 95 and SR 207 interchange. It has a large pond between it and the St Johns Flea Market which makes for interesting shopping if you get tired of the historical tourism of St Augustine which is 4 miles away. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There are a lot of permanent residents and they were all very friendly also. We will camp here again when we are in town. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Rate shown is based on a weekly rate. Park is nicely laid out with mostly pull thru spaces amongst the trees. Beware satellite users, it will be difficult to get a signal. The trees give lots of shade and are nicely trimmed so ass not to be a problem for big rigs. Sites and roads are gravel with grass in between sites. Sites are nicely spaced so you do not feel cramped. Wi-Fi was free and good and they do have satellite TV channels at each site. This is our 3rd time staying here. It is just a stop on our way north from south Florida. We stayed 3 days this time so we could do some touring around St. Augustine. Seems a little pricey since they do not have a pool but it is what it is, convenient! For the 3 days we are here it was $41.58 a night which reflects a Good Sam discount and includes tax. Our rate reflected an advertised special that we received because we asked for it. This was a very nice park. Laundry was great, if a little expensive. We would have stayed longer if we could have afforded the time. Only complaint about park is that there is a large empty meadow next to the storage area near where we parked. People use it to fly large model airplanes and do so very early in the morning. We were awakened both Saturday and Sunday by 7:00 with the noise from the planes. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We have stayed here before. The rate reflects a week. This is the typical Florida campground. It is very quiet and during the time we were here it was full. Utilities worked fine. There are some sites you can get your satellite dish to work but there are many you can't. My suggestion would be to either put cable in or trim some of the trees. We were on a site that we could not get satellite service, but got good reception with your antenna. Knowing all this, we would probably stop again if in the area We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Price is day/month. We are HDTers and are 67' overall but can fit in almost every site (most are roomy pull-throughs). We have been here 5 months and love it. No cable but 22 local digital channels are strong. Many sites may need a tripod dish to access satellites. Strong Wi-fi in all sites but poor Internet speeds 24/7. Sprint 4g Wimaxx OK in east end. Rate shown is based on the monthly rate. We stayed here in a 5th wheel and are HDTers. Wi-Fi is very strong everywhere but TengoInternet delivery is throttled at 750kbps max. Also, delivery is not smooth and any sort of streaming from downloads to pictures stutters a lot. The roads are level as are most of the sites and both are packed gravel and sand and are kept up nicely. Main roads are paved. Nice for walks and we have not experienced any mosquitoes in the week we have been here... but gnats are everywhere. Spaces are large pull-throughs for all but the perimeter sites. We are 65' overall and fit OK. Villano beaches are only about 7 miles away and St Augustine old town is even closer. Jacksonville is about 25 minutes north on I-95. Quite quiet for being only a few blocks from I-95. Outside one can hear a little traffic in the distance. Inside, all is quiet. We would stay here again for overnight and/or monthly. Two huge outlet malls are only a few blocks away along with a Camping World store, Cracker Barrel, IHOP and a lot of other pleasure palaces. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Great stop for Camping World repairs. Shaded with pine trees. No cable TV but we managed to receive good reception on several stations with antenna. Very nice staff. Our site had concrete patio. This is a clean no frills park. Sites are well spaced and most are shady. Gravel pads are generally level. Laundry room is equipped with new washers and dryers but is no air conditioned. We were able to get satellite TV signal. The office staff are friendly and efficient. The price is a bit high since there is no cable, pool or playground. Good location close to I-95, old St. Augustine, Castillo de San Marcos and World Golf Hall of Fame. The good: Fastest Verizon coverage we have ever had. Has a pretty "country" like setting, around the corner from the city, and easy access to everywhere. The bad: For anyone staying more than a few days, they put you on the sides with the other long term residents. (We stayed one week.) We were placed next to a family that was living at the park. They enjoyed playing an electric guitar hooked to an amp outside for 4 hours straight. Front desk responded: "It is not during quiet hours." Depending on direction of wind, there is a lot of highway noise. The guitar and the highway combined to make this the single loudest place we have ever stayed. Next time in the area we will look into Cooksey's which is 2 miles closer to St Augustine. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We enjoyed our stay in this park. It was very clean and the management at the front desk was very nice. We needed to get propane and they had to call someone to the location but, they too, were very nice and pleasant. The park was small and was not overwhelming. Although the spaces were not huge, they left enough room to be far enough away from the neighbors. The swales they had in the roads for drainage were a bit steep, so driving on the interior roads required some care. We would recommend this park and the location was good. Overall, a nice park. If you're looking for a "resort type" park, than this is not the place for you. If you're looking for a quiet, well kept park, than this is it. As previous reviews said, most sites are a combination of grass and gravel. Our site and some of the others, had a concrete pad with a picnic table. The driveway was wide enough to get our 38' rig and truck through with no problem. The park is also pet friendly, with what seemed to be most of the campers having pets. I've stayed at most of the parks in this area, and in my opinion, for the money, this is the best one. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

It was relatively easy to pull in (although the entrance could be a little wider to make it easier to turn a truck and fifth-wheel) and exit, however the sites were a mixture of sparse gravel and grass. Overall could use some spruce-ups (i.e fresh paint etc.) Checked out the laundry room: half of the washers and dryers were 'out of order' and the room wasn't too clean. The bathrooms were ok but could also use some attention. Price is high for what they have to offer: nothing except the basics. It is close to I-95 so maybe that's why they charge so much. Our second time at this park, and we echo the other recent reviews: nice site size for a commercial CG, nice shade, not lots of permanents, easy access to lots of things. Mixed reviews on the showers/laundry. Laundry OK (lots of machines), showers OK (great water pressure), but not the cleanest of restrooms. The park did flood when we were there (20" of rain in 2 weeks!) and the staff was very accommodating in moving us to another site for the remainder of our week when our site flooded completely. We will stay again since this is a good park and close to my elderly parents just 5 miles away. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a very nice little campground near I-95. Access is easy, and it’s very quiet with little or no traffic noise despite being close to highway. This is a nice basic park without a lot of the fancy amenities. The sites were some of the largest we have seen in commercial parks in the area. Most of the sites seemed to be occupied for at least a week if not the winter season, but there did not appear to be permanent residents. The grounds were well kept and the buildings clean. Pros: It is a convenient location for outlet shopping and access to I-95. There are nice sites--shade trees and enough space between vehicles. Cons: We were there 5 days and every morning I never saw another soul in the restrooms/showers. This might explain why the restrooms/showers were not cleaned even once while we were there. The sand just keep accumulating on the floor, and someone's broken soap bar just stayed under the sink the whole time. which was kind of disconcerting. I like those places where the restrooms are closed daily for cleaning. It at least gives you the illusion of cleanliness. Another con: The lady who checked us in was very nice, but the fellow in the wheelchair who works there (and I only know he works there from reading these reviews) sort of "accosted" us on our THIRD evening there as we parked. He did not identify himself, even after I kept saying, "Hello! Hello?" He just shone a flashlight in my face and asked if we had been here before. Well, I had no idea (at the time) who this person was so I spoke generally, and he just wheeled away. No "thank you." No "I'm sorry to bother you, but I made a mistake." Nothing. He was very rude which left a bad taste in our mouths. But our dog did like the grounds, and the location served our purpose well. It was kind of expensive, though, for no real amenities (Wi-Fi was a separate charge). We camped here in a Motorhome.

Perfectly adequate park with good access to Old St Augustine, which is about a 10 minute drive from the park. While the park is far enough away from I-95 so that the traffic noise is close to non-existent, it still offers easy access to the interstate. There are tons of shopping and restaurant choices within minutes of the park. Park is well-maintained, with a large percentage of seasonal residents when we visited in March. I was not happy with having to pay for the wifi ($5/day). Given the relatively low cost of installing a system, I fail to understand why any RV Park would subject their guests to such high daily rates. This park opened in the early 80's and is run by the family. It is a bit rustic, but clean. The people in the office were friendly and accommodationg. The sights are grass, and; typical Florida. Most sights are shaded with large pine trees. There are a few full time sites. Most sites are pull through and large enough to accommodate big rigs. Threre was a motorcycle event going on down in Daytona, so the I-95 traffic was probably a little louder than usual. We heard little noise once inside, though. There is only the one shower facility, but we only used it once. There were a few items in the office/store. We spent the weekend in St. Augustine and found this park to be convenient for that purpose. As I said, it is a rustic park, actually kind of neat, but clean and friendly. We will probably stay there again. It would be an ideal place to spend a night. Easy to get in and out of. Easy access to I-95. Camping World is across the Interstate. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

If you want to visit the great outlet malls, this is okay for an overnight stay. The park offers nothing in the way of amenities, except its proximity to the outlets. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a nice over night park. It is about 15 miles from St. Augustine. It has gravel sites and roads. I would stay here again, although I do think it is a bit over priced. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Quiet, clean campground. Office staff was very helpful. Park was very clean and we enjoyed walking around. Close to downtown St. Augustine, and the trolleys (20 mins.). Would definitely stay here again if in the area We camped here in a Motorhome.

Like other reviews, sites are nice and wide. Almost all are pull through. I am posting because they do have wi-fi now. It is in a central location, but if your site is close enough to the main building you can pick it up. However, it is not a very robust system at 1.0 mbps and will bog down with too many users. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Nice, shady park. Interior roads gravel, sites were grass. Sites were large and hookups were convenient. No cable, but several local stations available. Park is convenient to an outlet mall and Camping World. Close to I-95, but car noise was minimal. Owners on site and operate the park. Some long terms tenants/snow birds but half the park is short term. No facilities for children. We will return on our next visit to St. Augustine. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I'm reluctant to post this review for fear of giving away a secret: Stagecoach is a GREAT campground in a GREAT location! The basics: 30/50A electrical service with water/sewer, nice bathhouse facilities (wife was pleased, and she's hard to please), roomy paths, roadways, good drainage (very important in this part of the state), and everything works and is in good neat order. The perks: LOTS of space between the campsites, shady, and very quiet, convenient to I-95, reasonable rates considering the area, has horseshoe pits and half-court basketball plus good-sized grassy fields for animals/kids to run around in. Not much in the way of a store, but they do sell propane and have RV storage on-site. Others have commented on lack of telephone/WiFi, that's no big deal to me. Staff is friendly and courteous. This park has everything I need, and nothing I don't! We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a pleasant, shaded campground with level pull-through sites that will accommodate big rigs. Difficult to use satellite TV because of trees. No cable provided but about six local stations with good reception. If this campground had wi-fi, I'd rate it a 9 and if it had cable or satellite access, I'd rate it 10. Convenient to I-95 and outlet malls with limited road noise. We camped here in a Motorhome.
