Basically a big open field with a few newer trees, a couple older trees, a poorly maintained community building housing laundry/shower and restrooms. Restrooms were not clean and there was no TP. This is a no frills fishing destination although because of increasing pollution in the Suwannee the fishing has been going downhill. Biting gnats or noseeums were nasty. There are some interesting back roads and small towns in the area worth visiting. Some birding but not so much this time of year. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We camped here for two nights. This is a great campground to stay in Suwannee if you are a fisherman. It is rustic and not used much as evidenced by lack of campers. There were a couple RVs that were obviously long term residents. They advertised cable and there were connections at the site but after trying three different connections from other sites I gave up. There was cable with a TV in the rec room so we caught the news there. There is no Verizon phone service there and we barely were able to get a Verizon Air Card computer connection for a short time at night. All sites were pull through and were level. We caught fish and used their nice fish cleaning room. Grab a site, go in to Suwannee and pay your camping fee at Suwannee Realty. Remember to get the combination to the laundry room. We camped here in a Motorhome.
