All I can say about this park is that it could be great with some work. The owner was very helpful and friendly. It looks like there are several permanent residents, but overall the campground is quiet and clean. Super great location for visiting the town of Blue Ridge to Ride Train to Copperhill, TN and Macaysville, GA. Actually, there is a lot to see and do in town of Blue Ridge. We would stay here again, just for that reason. Yes, there was mud & rocks, but hey we're camping here-not a luxury resort. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Steep down grade from two lane highway into entry. Steep gravel road around owner's house down to large pull through sites along the creek. Very steep gravel road exit. Some sites are dug out of the slope so walk them if interested as their exit is difficult. We arrived with reservations to find the sites muddy and inaccessible, greeted by a child who said the owner would return in an hour. Made the mistake of driving down without walking and looking and got stuck in mud climbing out. I was able to get onto enough gravel and get up enough speed to get back to the entrance. The place was a nightmare. Maybe it is better during dry season. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We just found this campground this weekend. It is a very small park with only 10 RV sites and 14 tent sites. The park offers tubing and raft rides down the Toccoa river and has very friendly staff. It is family owned and operated, and just needs a little work on a few things. Bath houses were clean and well maintained. Their primary business is tubing and rafting but is a great little park for this. This park is not big rig friendly, but is a great place for smaller campers. We will return. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
