The post on getting there is correct and GPS has a little difficulty routing you into this short stretch of road. The park is more a place to stay over a night or so. One gravel road serves several sites that are un-level front to back while other sites are accessible only by driving across a large grass field (300 + feet from the road). As such, consider the recent rain or prediction of rain during your stay. Someone has noted there are many sites but there are only about 20 with power and water and these are on a first come basis. There were several RVs that appeared to have been there for an extended time on the power sites. Most of the sites offered would be boondocking. Things like kid-friendly do not apply as it is more for large gatherings with adults the primary group and kids are there to attend something like a party or wedding. When the main facility is not in use such as at nights, there is a gate that closes the complex off so late arrival and entrance might not be possible. We recommend calling ahead to get the gate code if you are coming in late or on Sunday. We would use this park again if in the area without any reservation other than the note regarding the rain warning. The rate reflected is a Passport rate. The person who takes care of the RV park is located at the end of the road and he is quite pleasant and helpful. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Access from highways is a bit complicated but otherwise, it was quiet, the grounds are lovely and very spacious. Sites and roads are gravel that badly need attention from a maintainer. There was an event at the barn on the grounds which did not interfere at all with the peace and quiet. We were charged $28 with the Passport America card in the fellow's hand. After departure and thinking about it, I called back and a representative was very quick to recognize the overcharge and promise a refund. Twenty-eight dollars would a pretty stiff price, all things considered. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Basically a large grass field with hookups around the perimeter. $14 was Passport America rate. A bit roundabout to get to. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Could not beat the view in site 49. Interestingly, the site next to us, while FHU had the sewer on the wrong side. Good value. Reserve ASAP to get the best sites. The lakeside sites are held for 7 days or less so we had better luck. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Very nice park with recently updated restrooms which were immaculate. Some of the sites aren't real level, but ours was fine. Nice views of the lake and some of the sites have lots of shade. It even had cable TV hookups. Verizon air card worked fine. We would stay here again if in the area. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This place is great. We are lakefront (site #43) in a pull-through site on a concrete slab. The lake view and woodsy view are equally fabulous. The rate for a FHU can't be beat. There's plenty of grass for the dog at our site and plenty of room to take walks. There's a beach, but we didn't walk to it, so can't comment. The cable worked well, and we had good Verizon connection. Shopping and restaurants are close. We would definitely camp here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Stopped here one night on a road trip. Very nice county park on pretty lake. Several nice back-in sites along the water. Retaining wall along the water by the waterfront sites, which I thought was a great idea--grass was mowed up to the retaining wall, which would be good if fishing. Boat launch and dock and another across a small inlet from the park. We chose a pull-through site (#7) with sewer hookup, which was only an additional $3. This site was long in length; space between trailers not as much as a state park but still okay. Great interior roads. Can't comment on restroom facilities just because did not use them. Verizon card worked good for Internet access and no problem with phone. As a previous reviewer stated, there are limited trees due to the 2008 tornado but still a pretty park that is well maintained. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

A great county park. Asphalt/concrete pads are narrow but sites are spread out nice. About 8 mile off I-75 but you are located on a nice lake. Pull throughs and lake front backins available. Restrooms and laundry are very nice. Quiet and dark, but in late March we had the park to ourselves and 5-6 campers. For summer there is a beach, but late March was mainly fishermen and a few snowbirds. A nice rural area with open sites and a few small trees. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The Tobesofkee Recreation Area, a county run park, has three public parks namely Claystone, Sandy Beach and Arrowhead Park. Claystone is on the North side of the lake and is reviewed in another listing. Arrowhead is on the South side of the lake. It is a beautiful, quiet very well maintained campground with paved roads and sites, clear lake view from all sites, very modern bath houses with stainless steel fixtures and faux marble walls. The park includes a boat ramp, beach and hiking/biking trails. I've marked it as not having shade because a tornado in 2008 took out many of the trees in the campground. It's all been cleaned up, but the remaining trees are small. But the campground is still quite nice. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
