Rate $30.00. Passport America $15.00, CASH OR CHECK ONLY. Level grassy pull-through sites, within 100 yards of prison. Access is through the middle of a trailer park, and break out into a open field where the sites are. Stayed here two nights to visit with local friends. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Passport America rate for 50amp, full hookup P/T site. Not much to this place, the RV Park is set behind a MHP. It is a neat well kept park with no trashy yards. Behind the RV Park is a detention center, high razor topped fence. We had no security issues through, overall a nice safe area. Verizon cell was fine, but the broadband was really bad, dial up speed. This park is an OK stop for a night or two, probably would allow washing if you asked. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Very flat location, showers were very clean, well-lighted, and restrooms were clean as well. No shaded spots available, a pretty bare-bones location, but very convenient for the arts and crafts show where we exhibit. Park close to the old buildings to avoid some street noise. And, be prepared to drive over a curb to get to the sites, we couldn't locate any other way to access the area. No hosts, no one on site to assist you. No picnic tables, fire rings, no amenities at all, pull in next to the poles, plug in to water and electricity, and that's all there is. No numbers, no markers, no site indicators. Wal-Mart is only a few miles away. Don't miss Bruster's Ice Cream in front of Wal-Mart - excellent ice cream. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is at the Sunbelt Expo Grounds. The City of Moultrie charges $15 a night for your stay, year round. Call city hall for details. There are no restrooms available except during the Expo (Oct), and then they are very clean. During the Expo, there is a 3 night minimum for hookups, if you reserve in time, but there is lots of overflow without hookups and a separate tent area without hookups. Maule airplanes are made nearby, and the airstrips attract local "Remote Controlled" enthusiats. We have been awakened by the loudspeaker at the Expo, and the local jail is next door, but overall, it is a lot better than the Wal Mart parking lot. During the Expo, the location cannot be beaten! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
