Decent NF campground with narrow spaces, but lots of space between spots and all right next to the creek. Pit toilets, bear boxes, and that's about it. Many spots will need some leveling aid. Not a campground for large rigs. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Seven miles east of Coeur d'Alene I-90 Exit 22, then south and west on SR 97 for about 2 miles to bridge marked Beauty Creek; just before the bridge turn left onto Forest Road 438 for about a mile. Entrance on right. Although 32 foot RV limit is mentioned, we were able to park fiver and tow vehicle (45 feet) without unhitching. This is everything a campground should be - almost. Gravel interior road, paved spurs. Spacious sites arranged along a small creek (which was dry in July). Widely spaced (30 to 50 yards) sites with underbrush separation between sites. Typical Forest Service sites with table, our favorite round steel fire rings w cooking grill. Pit toilets, no showers, no hookups of any kind. Quiet and peaceful. Wells have become contaminated, so potable water is available only in a plastic tank near entrance - no dump station. Bring tanks full and empty. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice park with big lots for the big rigs. We have a 45 ft coach with a trailer and know how hard it is to find good rv parks that can handle longer rigs. The site we had must have been 100 ft long. No problem getting around in the park. All streets were paved. The sites were gravel but nice and level and the park is clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay there again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a very nice RV Park. We intended to just stay one night but ended up staying 2 and enjoying the city of Coeur d' Alene. There is a great bike path that is accessible from the main road, we didn't use it but we will definitely be prepared the next time we stop at Blackwell Island RV. We have been looking for a place to stay in this area and this was a great find. We had friends recommend it and we highly recommend staying here. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Restrooms and showers were very clean. We were here after Labor Day weekend and we were told by others that this park is packed during the summer. Reservations were highly recommended during peak season. Easy access for our family in Spokane to visit. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We enjoyed our stay in this park. It is right on the lake very near to the downtown area of CdA. It is well maintained, has modern facilities, and the park will accommodate any size RV. The staff was both responsive and polite. The sites were gravel with paved asphalt roads. The sites had adequate distance between one another with lawn dividers for many of the sites. Most sites are pull through. Shade was limited but there is a beach with a swimming area for park guests. Lawn chairs were provided on the beach. The bathrooms were clean and very private. Wi-Fi was weak but that seems to be par for the course. We would come back again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

A great place to camp if you have a boat or PWC's (personal water crafts). Otherwise, pretty cool. Lots of great restaurants in the area, especially Cedar's down the street. We would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

The staff at first seemed to be a bit off putting. However they are very very busy. When you catch them in a lull they are much better with exception of one that should not be in a business requiring interaction with the public. But one can avoid this easily. The sites around the perimeter are nice. The ones in the circle are tight. All are grass/gravel and not level, uneven ground front to back, and side to side. The interior roads are a bit of a rabbit warren. The location is great though and access is good. There may be better places in the area but at a higher price and not as family friendly. So we would stay again especially when traveling with kids. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Friendly office staff. WiFi did not work well. Cable was fair with limited channels. LOTS of children. Sites have grass with a picnic table. All utilities work properly. VERY busy park. Noticed that several of the long pull-through sites had small Class C or bumper trailers and our 40' motor home was issued a site that barely had room for our toad (we had made a reservation 1 week in advance). Nice beach area to enjoy the boats and a nice restaurant within walking distance. We would stay here again because it's conveniently located to shopping/town. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We had high expectations based on previous reviews and a recommendation by a friend. Interior roads are paved and easy to get in and out. Many side roads and sites are gravel. Our gravel site was slightly off level. Getting the better locations in this park is critical to how good a stay one has. Our site was in the most northern row, closest to US Rt 95 and heavy, noisy ,high speed traffic. Also, that row is on the edge of the Wi-Fi antenna's 270 degree pattern. Even with our 15 ft external USB antenna, we were only able to receive the Wi-Fi for a few hours during our week stay. Taking our laptop to the office or closer to the northern antenna helped a little, but the signal comes and goes there, too. Our contact with the staff varied from rude to helpful. All the staff, including the owner's son had reasons for the Wi-Fi problems. Cable is very basic. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Very convenient park to town and well laid out, easy to maneuver. Sites are big enough to have a picnic on the available tables. Office staff is friendly and knowledgable. Laundry room is nice sized and clean. We did not use the river/lake facilities, but everyone else seemed to. This is our second stay here but we may try a less crowded park next time. There are some nice sites in this park. We had one of them for a premium, of course. We always think it's worth a few dollars more for a nice view. It's very popular as it has a beach and boat docks. However, it lacks other amenities like pools, hot tubs, or fitness center one might expect when paying premium rates. The sites are large enough for any size RV. If we are staying in the area again this is the park we'll return to. We camped here in a Motorhome.

If you need a campground in the Coeur d'Alene area, this park might suit you. The staff was friendly and helpful. The utilities; water (was warned at check in that they have high water pressure, so make sure you use a regulator. We always do: but appreciated the info), electric and sewer all fine. Our site was a level pull in. With that said, we did not like this park. We are fulltimers, and stay in a variety of parks, but this one was not a good value. $45 a night: no usable Wi-Fi and the very limited cable was too fuzzy to watch. I expect to get what I pay for. Advertise Wi-Fi and cable: then deliver!! Our site was right along the road, maybe 5 ft away, and the traffic in and out of the park and the marina traffic was awful. We did not enjoy sitting outside, it was too noisy. Our site had adequate space, grass well maintained, but only enjoyed it in the evening when the traffic settled down. We would not return to this campground, but it is a popular spot. We saw many RV's without reservations turned away, so there are folks that like this park. It is packed, lots of families and kids, but everyone is respectful of other campers. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The sites at this park are level and very well maintained. The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. Each site has grass and the interior roads are paved on the perimeter and gravel elsewhere. One fellow in the front office was very rude during check-in. Don't ask questions. He just said "if you don't like it, stay somewhere else." There's very little shade, but the beach is a real treat. Close to a great restaurant. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Clean park but too pricey for our tastes even with Good Sam discount. Grassy sites but neighbors sat right outside our window and I could talk to the folks 2 sites away without raising my voice. Nice private restrooms & showers were good for helping my handicapped sister. Enjoyed floating restaurant & close (about 5 minutes by car) to downtown but I would try another park in area before returning here. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We always stay here on our way to and from Montana from Washington state, each year. It is a great park. Very clean and the staff is friendly. The Wi-Fi works very well and the restrooms are really nice; roomy and clean. I highly recommend it for a short or a lengthy stay, as there is lots to do in the Coeur d'Alene area. This is a very large park that has great appeal for people that are here to use the Spokane River or Coeur d' Alene Lake. It also has a gravel beach and some large areas; nice for kids or family groups. Otherwise I would rate the park a C+ for the basics. You get a gravel pad that is fairly level but the majority of sites have no shade and picnic tables that have seen a lot of summers. The Wi-Fi is OK but the cable is weak. Each site has some grass but you are prohibited from putting down any kind of a carpet or the poles for your awning. The grass is watered every night. The restrooms and laundry are very clean but they are a long way from the center of the park. The park has some very long pull-throughs but they appear to be assigned randomly so if you need one ask in advance. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This park calls itself an RV "resort", but it lacks many features that a true RV resort has. There is no pool or hot tub, and they do not collect trash at your site. The sites are gravel, and the gravel strip is just wide enough for the RV to fit in. When you step out of your rig, you step into the grass. When the grass is rain-soaked, your shoes and socks become soaked by the time you get to your tow vehicle or toad. Most sites have muddy ruts at the entry point, as they did not provide ample turning radius to enter the site without your tires going through the grass. When I phoned for reservations, I informed the lady that we had a 35' 5th wheel. Our assigned site, 73, was so short that our combined rig exceeded the site length. I would have had to park my truck 75 yards away in a parking lot. I called the office, and was told that a longer site was $10 per night extra. After politely reminding the lady that I had just given them $537 for 14 nights, I was reassigned (at no extra charge) to site 66, which was plenty long. The great majority of their sites are VERY short, so be careful when you make reservations that you understand what you are getting. The cable TV signal was weak and noisy, and most of the channels were barely watchable. While the restrooms and laundry were clean, the RV sites leave a lot to be desired. They were very pleasant. We have stayed here before. They upgraded us for free, to a premium site right on the river. The campground was spotless and there seemed to be less geese this year. The sites were gravel and there was nice grass all around. You can not park or drive on the grass as they have underground sprinklers, but there was enough room on the sites to fit behind the motorhome and I am 42 feet. It is big rig friendly, though I might choose a regular site pull through, as it is wider and longer than the premium sites. You can fit and you can get out, but the circle is a bit tight. Not a problem and I do not have IFS either, but it is noticeable and I had to back up once to make the turn into the circle. Not a huge issue but you will have to unhook the tow car before parking in the premium site. The regular sites do not have that issue: if you are staying for the night you can remain hooked up and not have an issue. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Very nice park, well run. Very nice rest rooms, showers and laundry room. Great location, central to Northern Idaho. Good base camp to explore the area. Only draw backs were very slow Wi-Fi and for some reason large areas of the grass were not watered and dead. This leads to problems with tracking stuff into the RV, very annoying. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a nice park located close to downtown but away from it all. We hide a nice view of the river. The spot they put us in was a little tight and would have been impossible if the park were full, but it wasn't so all was good. Staff very nice. We'll be back. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here in one of the premium sites on the circle near the CG entrance. Our site faced the river and was about 100 feet from it. The sites on the circle are fairly far apart and provided pretty good privacy. It should be noted that there are other so-called "river sites" that are not as close to the water as these. The roads in the park are paved; the sites are gravel and are fairly level. It was easy to get satellite TV reception. The staff were very pleasant when we checked in. We will almost certainly come back. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The staff was great. They bent over backwards to help us extend our stay on the river without moving our site. The park is well maintained and offers a lovely beach area for campers and a great little beach for dogs. We were in a river site and found it was not quite "on" the river, rather, about 200 feet away. The site was spacious and shady, but our fiberglass picnic table was warped. Overall the park is well laid out with wide paved roads for easy maneuvering in and out of sites and around the park. The only drawback was that there was a lot of dry grass and muddy areas between patches of green grass at the sites. Otherwise we were very happy with our stay. We would return to this park. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Check-in staff were extremely friendly and courteous. Great location on Spokane River. Big sites and wide open roads make getting in and out a breeze. Everything was clean and tidy. Showers and washrooms were very clean. There is a beach on the river for swimming and even our little dog went in for a refreshing swim. My wife said the laundry facilities were excellent. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice park, well-maintained. Nice beach/swimming area on the very clean river. Dock for boats. Sites varied in size but were adequate in length and width. Private bathroom/shower rooms, but the ones in the back of the park close at 9:00 pm. Laundry looked clean and reasonably-priced. Quiet at night without much highway or train noise. Helpful and friendly personnel in the office. Very short drive to downtown and other shopping. Seems to be family-friendly with a small playground and a safe swimming area - there were a lot of children there. Park was full every night we were there, so make reservations as it looks like a very popular spot. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Maybe we're just campground snobs, but this is one of the worst we have stayed in. This particular campground helped us to make a decision not to listen to the rvreviews website. I also have to complain to Trailer Life for sending representatives that gave this place a 9/9.5*/10 rating. The only river sites available are also the only big rig sites. Our 37' 5th wheel barely made it on the spot we were given #144. It looks on the CG's map as if all sites are the same size. And I don't know what's wrong with the folks who posted on this site that gave this park a 9 rating. We don't have kids or pets so no issues there. The only reason I gave this a 5 is for the efficiency and friendliness of the hosts. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed two nights here and wish we had more time. The park was excellent and we had an unobstructed view of the river, which is why the cost was a little higher than normal. The laundry area was very clean and the roads and sites were level and easy to access, If you're a golfer, play Coeur d' Alene Golf Resort. Great play!! Would definitely stay here again. Great location, clean park and facilities. Have stayed twice in 2 months. Not a super kid-friendly park, in terms of the rules. Also, no fires! But we never learned if that was the park or city/county rules. They also water way too much! Each site has a sprinkler head in it, but we learned after the first night to cover it with a rug so not everything was soaked in the a.m.!! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We enjoyed our 4 day stay here. We liked the fact that the beach is right in the campground. There are several colored chairs and beach umbrellas for you to enjoy. They rent canoes, beach bikes, pontoon boats, and kayaks at the campground for reasonable prices. Sites are long, level, and gravel. Main roads are paved. Our Verizon cell phone, internet card and satellite worked fine. Combination bathroom and shower were very clean. Laundry was clean also and prices were reasonable. Downtown shops in Couer D’Alene were very nice especially those on Sherman Street. Couer D’Alene has a very nice bike trail that you can connect to just a short distance from the campground. It’s paved and safe. We definitely recommend this campground. You won’t be disappointed. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a beautiful resort. It's right along the lake/river and we decided to pay the $10 extra for a view of the water! All the sites are easy to enter and to leave. Folks in the office were efficient and pleasant. The grounds are well manicured and lots of flowers and plants make it even nicer. Chairs are lined along the water front so that on a warm, sunny day guests have a fine place from which to sit and enjoy sunshine and the views. Many boats are in the area and many of the campers brought along their own boats. We would visit the place again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We are here for 16 days. Great location for touring the surrounding areas. Sites are lots of space between rigs and green grass with picnic table. The way the sites are angled you are not sitting by the sewer hookups when outside. Nice new way to do a campground. Laundry room is good. The Wi-Fi can get bogged down when everyone is on. Staff is very helpful and the park is neat as a pin. River access is great too. They even provide chairs by the beach/river. Boat, kayak and canoe rentals are available. Only drawback is if your site is close to Hwy 95, which can be noisy. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We called en route to see if they had any openings for the evening and they did. Being a Friday I was a bit concerned. They didn't require a visa to "hold" the spot which was nice. It's located right on the Spokane river which is lovely and there is a beach and dock for 20 players. Since we are not pulling any vehicles we try to stay close to services. This is a bit out of the way for that. There is a nice restaurant with in walking distance on a pier but it was a bit pricey so we opted to stay in for the evening. Nice place and if I was wanting a place on the Spokane River I would come back. We didn't use any of the restrooms or showers but everything else looked in good condition so I would be surprised if they weren't also. My only down side is the extra fee for children. Kind of a downer when they are already charging what I feel to be on the high side. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Read reviews online and thought we'd give it a try. So glad we did. We stayed 3 nights and enjoyed the CG. Friendly check in and worked with us for a nice site, ended up with a view of the river and corner site with two dogs. They said there was swimming for them, but we didn't because of high waters. Nice asphalt road through out park, nice especially for walking. Sites could have been a touch more level but all in all it was great and sites seemed ok for spacing. They are very helpful and give you discount coupons for a beverage of your choice at about 5 different restaurants. They will even make reservations for you. We've stayed at this RV park for 2 nights. It's a very clean place and very well organized. The waterfront is spectacular. There many colorful chairs where you can relax on the shady grass or sand. This is an exceptional park on waterfront property. We paid ~$50/night with a waterfront view "in the circle"; it costs less to have a non-view spot. On the circle, people walk by the water (and your RV) all day because the view is spectacular. Lots of grass; gravel parking spots. The park is pet-friendly, on-leash, with nice walking areas. Lots of dogs. The park attracts really big RVs; no tents are allowed. The WI-FI was super strong. We would absolutely stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is a nice park with really friendly and helpful staff. The sites are good sized and fairly easy to get in an out of. The parking pad is gravel and somewhat too narrow. There is little shade, but this doesn't matter in the spring or fall. While fairly close to US 95, the road noise is rather low. The location so close to the middle of Coeur D'Alene makes it very convenient. I would certainly stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Very large park, conveniently located to the lake and town. Hosts were friendly and accommodating. The park laundry is one of the nicest and most reasonable that I've seen. They also have a club house, game room, etc. It is a very family friendly park. My only complaint, and really it isn't the parks fault are the goose droppings. It is everywhere you walk. Very nice park. Level sites and river views at some sites. Super water pressure here. You are told you need a regulator and you should heed that direction. It took all the kinks out of my hoses. Super clean facilities and you could wash your rig on your site. There was even a service that would come in and wash it for you for $2.00 per foot. #0 footer equals $60.00. This is our second visit to this park. We spent two nights here this time. It is a large park with mostly pull thrus. All the spaces are gravel. There is a nice beach area, right on the Spokane River as it comes out of Lake Couer d'Alene. It can reasonably accommodate big rigs. The staff is, with a few exceptions, friendly and helpful. After we were all set up the staff informed us they had made a mistake in the place they had put us, so we had to move the following morning. We had reservations too, but still the screw up. This is a huge RV park along the river with dozens of RVs ranging from Scamps to the biggest of big rigs. Only a few sites are close to the river, with the majority having plenty of room for slides, etc. Most of the patrons were very friendly and the office staff was helpful, friendly and had a great sense of humor. This is a great place to go if you want to walk around and talk with other RV'ers or if you want to sit on a nice afternoon along the river. The RV park is not actually along the river front walk if that is what you are looking for, you'll need to get in your car for that. I would stay here again, but only if I had extra time to explore "CDA". We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This was a very suitable park. Good utilities, the water pressure was high. Had adequate space to park our tow on our site. It was close to all the activities and downtown area of Coeur d'Alene which we liked very much. This is a beautiful area of the country and well worth a visit. We made reservations only 3-4 days ahead of time and they got us in for a 3 night stay after someone canceled but was a "back in site" which was fine for me thinking it was more private to the rear. When we arrived and looked at the site we should have asked to be changed. It was shaped like a pizza and all the trailers in this circle backed into the center with a little gazebo. The entire circle were all from Alberta and must have been together. It was controlled chaos. Like being in the middle of a Chuck E. Cheese restaurant/playground. On our third and final night I asked to be moved and they did find me a site which was fine. I wish they would have told us but I blame myself for staying and not saying something earlier. The management was friendly and accommodating. They did say next time if we wanted a (quieter) space to ask for "the new section." Not our type of place in hindsight but OK if you need to visit the area and don't mind all the craziness of a "beachy, vacation type atmosphere". We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

The rate we show is Good Sam, a non-lake view with tax. Other reviews are good. Only addition is high water pressure so a regulator needed. They will allow you to wash your coach without charge. This is a nice park. It fills quickly, so make reservations or call to make sure there are spaces. I got to this place early in the afternoon and did not have any trouble getting around. This changed as the day went on and watching the panic on the big RV drivers face was interesting. Sites are nice, but not long enough to leave the tow vehicle hooked or parked in the site. The streets get a little narrow by early evening. Campground is clean and well kept. Little store with a few items in it. Restrooms were big, but single units (shower and toilet in same room). This campground is fairly new with small trees, so not much shade. Lots of grass for the kids and adults to run and play on. Right on the lake with rental boats, canoes, etc. available. Nice touch, we did the canoe for two hours for ten bucks. We just overnighted here, but would have stayed a day or two more to explore the beautiful area. I will try to return here in the future. Just remember in the summer this place fills up (no joke), so make plans. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is a pretty nice park overall, for an urban RV park. In spite of the fact that it was filled to capacity every night, it was quiet, clean and well-maintained. Satellite reception is not a problem at any of the sites. The WiFi is another story. I never thought I'd say it, but this resort is as nice as Bluewater Key (and it's less than half the price). Spacious lawns, beautiful riverfront with sandy beach; even a section for dogs to swim. Very friendly staff, and good cable TV. The location to explore the area is excellent; right on Route 95, just south of the town. Quiet location but not isolated at all. I can't say enough good things about this place for people of all ages (they even have a playground for the young ones, and a game room for the teens). Unlike Bluewater Key any rig is welcome here, and there are many fifth wheels and small trailers. The town of Coeur D'Alene (as well as Sandpoint) are interesting contrast: with the former being a vibrant college town, with many interesting independently owned stores, while the latter reminds me of Taos, filled with old hippies running stores as only they can. There is also a large amusement park (Silverwood) about 10 miles north of Coeur D'Alene. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Our first time at this park and we got a great site right on the river. The facilities seem to be in good shape and clean. If you stay here, read the rules, do NOT put out a doormat they patrol regularly and will move your mat if it is on the grass which is kept green but not necessarily short. We found it to be quiet and the site services worked ok most of the time. If you don't have a towed vehicle be prepared to call a taxi to get to town. Fairly close to downtown CDA and a good spot to stay for the Ironman event. The walk is a little difficult to town because you are forced to walk along a busy highway and bridge. The park is very large, with spaces fairly close together. It is well maintained. It has a pebble beach along the Spokane River, right before it lets into Lake Coeur d' Alene. There is an area for people swimming and pet swimming. The spaces are almost all pull-throughs and many will accommodate very large rigs. Our assigned space was a little small to fit both the trailer and tow vehicle. The spaces are level gravel. The laundry room was clean, with modern machines. The staff were friendly and helpful. The cable was fuzzy. Wi-Fi had pretty good reception, but was a little slow. This may have been because the park was so crowded due to the event. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The sites were gravel with grass in between and there were showers/restrooms at 2 locations. This is a nice enough park, with a great location close to downtown. The sites were waterlogged from all the rain, but the staff relocated us after initially assigning us to a site underwater. Access is easy, and the laundry room was clean. There wasn't much landscaping, and plenty of rules about what you can and can not do. Our dogs enjoyed playing in the river where dogs are allowed; the rest of the beach is off-limits to dogs, and there is no fenced in dog run. Nice park set up for big rigs. The area is nicely maintained and the space per site is reasonable. The streets are either paved or gravel and each site has a gravel location for your unit. The location has great access to most attractions and the highway noise is not really noticeable. The WiFi has been improved with 2 sites available. The price seems a little steep but it is certainly the best park in the area. The only negative comment I have is while we were here the water system had great quantities of air in it. This created all kinds of noise and concerns with air in our hot water tank. This may only be temporary as I don't believe the water system is on all winter. We would stay again if in the area. Easy access to downtown Coeur d'Alene due to it being next to the highway, which can be a bit noisy. There is a great cafe downtown that makes a mean pumpkin/white chocolate chip muffin which goes with a nice cup of coffee as you enjoy a table on the sidewalk. There is a nice paved perimeter road, great for walking or biking, about 1 1/2 miles around. Very friendly owners and work kampers here. A section of grass for each site, watered every night. This park is very well-located for visiting Coeur d` Alene: which is a beautiful town. It is on the Spokane River with its own sandy beach lined with Adirondack chairs. The facilities (laundry, restrooms, game room, etc.) are very nice and clean. However, the individual sites run from very good to poor. There is an artery road that is paved and the rest of the park is grass and gravel. They have many pull-through sites, but the roads are tight. Also, try to avoid sites 158 through 172 as they're close to Hwy. 95. They claim to have more river sites than they actually do. Sites 114, 113, 72, 61, 50, 51, 52, and 53 are the only unobstructed river views. Their "river" sites 115 through 122 are on the river: but the water is hard to see due to heavy trees and foliage. I would also suspect that satellite may be challenging at those sites. The Wi-Fi is confusing as when it's available it's very strong and fast. Unfortunately, sometimes during day or night (never the same time) you can't get it at all! Cable is very basic (14 channels). All and all, the staff is great and the location can't be beat for visiting the beautiful town of Coeur d` Alene and the lake. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park has large sites and wide roads for easy in and out. The park is extremely family and dog friendly. Not a relaxing, quiet retiree park. The laundry room is large and very clean. One problem encountered was the over-watering the grassy areas between sites, keeping the grass very wet and full of mosquitoes. Our first reaction to this park was "Wow". The front office, laundry and game room are beautiful. However, once we got to our site and spent a few days, the first reaction wore off and we realized that this is just a huge gravel lot with some small spots of grass. Our power monitor indicated that the power continuously operated at 114 to 118. At one point we disconnected and operated on generator/inverter power for a while in order to protect our electronics. There are approximately ten spots with a water view, so while the park borders water, that does not come into play for the vast majority of spaces. What does come into play is that the park is located directly adjacent to US RT 95-- a very heavily traveled and noisy highway. Most of the interior roads and all of the sites are gravel-- and DUSTY. When the campground is full it looks great due in large part to the number of big rigs; thereby resembling an RV show. During the week when the number of RVs declines, the park resembles many of the poorly maintained places that we try to avoid. The next time we are in the Idaho panhandle we most certainly will camp elsewhere. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This RV park left much to be desired especially at the unusually high price charged. At $50.00 a night with Good Sam discount our space was touted as “water front” which in reality was uneven gravel surrounded by tall trees that canceled out any hope of getting satellite reception and tall weeds and sticker bushes which obstructed any views of a river. No pool, hot tub, exercise room, restaurant, café, cable TV (their cable is in fact a limited channel satellite service) or well stocked store. The value of this park is about $25.00 night when compared to other RV resorts that also charge about $50.00 a night in other areas of the country. They are also happy to sell you a new water pressure restrictor at $10.00 each to compensate for the unusual high pressure water system they have which completely blew out a water filter I have used without any problems for years. The close proximity to down town Coeur d’Alene and its shopping, parks and expansive water vistas of the lake only begin to compensate for the RV park's high price, and limited amenities. However next time we travel that way we will seek a less expensive non water front site and plan on spending just a few nights. Too bad, but it seems as though the poor economy has prompted these folks to get all they can while they can without giving much value in return which in the end will drive more business away then they hope to attract. Because of location, this park could be so much more. I feel the grounds are very poorly kept. The grassy spots are under watered and stressed as well as many of the trees. Need to better address the weeds in the parking pads. The cable TV is somewhat of a joke, but as of this time you can still receive local network channels via analog signal from a nearby mountain. I suggest you bring your own satellite dish. I do enjoy staying here because of the location, but wish the staff would pay more attention to the grounds. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here twice, 1 night each, as a stop over to Yellowstone. We like the area and this campground so much that we'll make it a destination site and stay awhile next time around. We found the sites to be level. The connections were in the right places. The size of the sites adequate for the largest rigs. There was plenty of parking available. The cable TV is adequate. The town is near enough to make this your hub. Plenty of activities. Management is friendly. The only two negatives: (1) They didn't have a marked area for dog walking, though they are pet friendly; and (2) the parking for check-in easily backs up traffic onto the access road forcing through traffic to use the exit isle for entry. An employee went out of his way to help me with my tent trailer when I was having some problems with it. We came upon this park through RV Park Reviews and loved it. Since we came without reservations, and it was approaching the 4th of July weekend, we could only stay 2 nights. We stayed here overnight. It was a decent park with nice sized spaces. I would have expected more for the price we paid. Its basically a large gravel parking lot with blacktop paths to your site. The "grass" between spaces was over 6" tall and about 50% weeds. The trees are small and provide no shade,absolutely no privacy between spaces. The swimming area was pretty much free of Goose droppings and was fairly sandy. For the cost of the park we wouldn't stay there again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This CG is somewhat overpriced for what you get. It lacks charm and the staff is not particularly friendly or welcoming. . The price I paid is *after* my Good Sam discount. I did pay extra for a "waterfront" site. The so-called waterfront sites are "front-in" sites that are fairly spacious, but are nowhere near the water. The water is a river, you can't see the lake from the CG. There are canoes, water bikes, pontoon boats, etc. for rent at the park's poor excuse for a beach and they appear to be in excellent condition. There are many pull-throughs that would give a better (and less expensive) view of the water than you get in the "waterfront" sites, except that the genius who laid out the campground did it so that in almost all of them, you are facing *away* from the river. This could be a fabulous campground if a few things were changed, and it is still probably the best choice near Coeur d'Alene. We camped here in a Motorhome.

First the indisputable facts, then my opinion so as not to taint the review. 1) Fact: Because the water sprinklers come on EVERY night, even when it rains, you cannot leave anything outside that you do not want to get wet. Chairs, grill, etc...soaked ! 2) Fact: NO mats or rugs allowed around your motorhome, not even a door mat to wipe your shoes off. 3)Fact: NO FIRES allowed...not even propane firepits. 4) Fact: The staff tours the camp on their golf cart every couple of hours to "catch" those who put out mats, or try to make their kids a smore over a propane firepit. 5)Fact: The playground is minimal to say the least. We have a nicer playground in our backyard. 6) Fact: The "store" has Nothing of any use except the sewer donut you are REQUIRED to buy and use. 7) Fact: Night mangers will yell at your kids before even approaching the present adult, if they think your kids are breaking the rules. Now my opinion. Admittedly I am from the south and love Southern hospitality. None of that in this RV Park. The managers (owners?) have a New York City elitist attitude that is abrupt and loud. If you are not sure that they know everything, just ask them a question and I assure you they will let you know very quickly they DO know everything. DO NOT plan on staying here for more than a one night stopover. I cannot express how bad this place is, of course unless you like the RV Park Nazis that run this place. These people are not friendly and DO NOT want you or your family to enjoy your vacation. Best advice: AVOID at all costs. We camped here in a Motorhome.

When I made a reservation, the person on the phone kept pressing me for a "specific" time that I would be arriving, and wouldn't accept a general "sometime in the afternoon." I have no idea what this was all about, as I have never had a park be that picky! I got there about noon, and it wasn't crowded. Later on a lot more RVs came in, but park was not full. Rate I am showing is before Good Sam discount, for a non-river site. Sites are mostly all pull-through, on gravel, with some grass for spacing between the RVs. Spacing is adequate. Trees aren't very tall, so there is no shade. If you have one of those expensive surge protectors from Camping World, it will fit here. Water pressure is high, regulators required. If you don't have a regulator, you can get one from the office for a $10 refundable deposit. Cable is limited, only about 20 channels. Bathrooms/showers were clean. There were about four bathroom/shower combos, in separate rooms, all unisex, with locks. Laundry was clean. Wi-Fi worked very well during daytime, but appeared to be shut off, or not available at night. There is a playground for children. They have a nice clubhouse for functions. Cedars Restaurant nearby. Good place for overnighting, not really a "destination." We camped here in a Motorhome.

A nice, quiet park close to town and right on the Spokane river. Sites are priced based on location with the premium sites having a large grass area between your rig and the river. The dock and beach weren't open when we were there (river running too fast) but looked decent in size. They even had an area reserved to let your dog cool off! We would stay here again. Blackwell Island is a great place for family and pets! Easily accessible and right on the river. There are several water toys for rent and chairs line the river's swimming area. There is even a beach for our canine friends! The bathrooms and showers were immaculate. The spots are slightly close together as are most parks that accommodate big rigs, but fine. There were an abundance of geese and their droppings, making the area around the lake dicy, but the trees were lovely and the campground friendly. We would definitely go there again. This park is very clean and conveniently located close to I-90. The restrooms/showers are extremely clean and nice. However, the cost was outrageous! The base rate was $38.00, plus a per kid charge, plus tax, which amounted to $50.00 for my family. And, for an extra $10.00 we could have had a site on the water. For another $10.00, we could have rented a water pressure gadget that is required, as the water pressure in the park is too high. Overall, this park was ok, but we'll likely go elsewhere next time. This is Dog heaven, everyone seemed to have dogs. Also, there is a city sewage treatment plant just across the river. Sometimes it discharges a terrible smell. But I still give the park an 8 because of cable TV and WiFi and Propane services. Sites are kind of crowded, not a lot of room between rows of sites for maneuvering. Also, lawn sprinklers left a permanent puddle on our site so we were tracking in wet grass all the time. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We were most excited about this campground on our 6 week vacation this past summer. Boy, were were disappointed! I paid extra for a river view site, which was very close to the river and my kids and dog loved playing in it, however they do not disclose that there is a sawmill on the other side of the river that ran the entire time we stayed there. It was loud! Perhaps it's not as noticeable from other sites, but we were right there. The campsites are stacked in, nothing special, nothing new. We also rented a boat, best price on the lake for a reason. It was a piece of junk, dirty and old. We will find somewhere else to stay on our next trip through Idaho. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Most riverfront sites have so many trees the view is hidden. The view from the beach is of an ugly old timber mill that you hear 24/7. Not noisy enough to keep you awake at night, but it takes away from enjoying the riverbank or beach. RV gravel sites need an update. On the upside the park is near town and you can swim in the river. The beach was mostly enjoyed by dogs playing fetch all day long with their owners. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We really liked this campground! More of a RV "Resort" than a traditional campground. Sites were wide and spacious with a variety of places to choose from. Reservations are a must, very busy place! Many roads in the park are paved, which was unusual. Sawmill noise was a non-issue, even down by the river. Swim area was great! Sandy beach was pleasant and our dog had a great swim! The campground is a great campground and the owners have done the best they can with the siting of the land and the spaces. I will say that the river is not the lake but to find a better location in a resort area is hard to do and keep it an RV park. The sites all have good power and is easy in and out. The sawmill is not that loud and the road noise is a bit loud during the day but almost non existent in the evening. The staff was very helpful in giving suggestions of what to see and where to go. If you are a light sleeper, then this park is not for you! The park itself is large, the sites are adequate and there are a few that face the river. However, the lumber mill across the river runs from 5:30 to 5:30 and is very noisy. The beep beep beep from the back up signal alone is enough to drive you crazy. There is also traffic noise from the two roads close by. The clerk at the desk was nice enough. The office is a mess, needs to be cleaned up. I think the price is also too high for this park. If the lumber mill was gone, I would give this park a higher rating. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a very nice RV park, very clean. We thought the fee was steep for this time of the year, the park was only about one fifth full, the most we have paid after a month on the road. Not very quiet, US 95 to the west, a logging mill that operates about 18 hours a day to the east on the Spokane River. Cleaning service comes by daily offering washing and drying, $2 a foot. Excellent location near the lake on the Spokane River. The sawmill across the river from the park does not present a noise problem. I really appreciated the expensive looking propane fired mosquito machines which are placed along the river inside the park. There were no mosquitoes in a location that looks like mosquito country. Excellent free Wi-Fi service in the park. It is $10 per day more for a premium site. We found the grass and view worth the extra money. The contruction on the second set of restrooms/showers appears to be going very slowly. The gravel site to park the coach or RV is very narrow. Hence we got hit with sprinklers on watering day. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I enjoyed the seaplane flight for only $50 from Brooks and the 90 minute boat tour of the lake was excellent. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The folks who have developed this park have done everything right. Plenty of room, not jammed next to your neighbor, great views of the lake and river, easy ingress and egress, big rig friendly, great free wi-fi, they let you wash your RV, and the management is super. This is arguably the best RV park in Idaho in gorgeous Couer d'Alene. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Great for dogs. Lots of grassy space and an inviting river. Can imagine sellouts during the summer. New building with 5 additional shower combos going in. Very clean facilities. We stay here whenever in area, but not during summer months. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

A very nice park with spacious sites. There is no shade in any site. Although advertised as " on the lake" it is on the river. Location off the freeway is convenient but not particularly scenic as it is close to a secondary highway. Great floating restaurant nearby. We would stay there again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice RV Park with good ingress and egress, and roomy sites. Waterfront Sites, 50-56, are the best. Noise from lumber mill at these sites is not a problem unless you have a popup camper or tent. Motorhomes, fifth wheelers, and travel trailers should have no problems. Nice little beach. Excellent wi-fi system that reaches to the site. Good place to stay overnight or for longer periods. Be sure to dine at the nearby Cedars restaurant when here. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The park is convenient to town. The view is not actually of the lake but of a river way and the view across the riverway is of an industrial building. The bathrooms are clean and they are the family style bathroom (sink, shower and toilet all in one room). All of the sites are pull throughs and have full hookups. This park had alot of older people with some BIG rigs. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

The campground was full [they were turning people away] and you could tell the attitude of the staff by there comments to customers. It did not get better. To me it was a wetland field that was close enough to see the lake. The sprinklers ran every night and added to the wetland experience. It's actually on the River and directly opposite a saw mill that operates continuously. The view and noise was not charming. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This place is big rig friendly. The sites are fairly good size. The only problem we had
was that the waterfront sites are directly across from a working lumber/saw mill that works almost all night long. It's not very quiet. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Very nice. Could use some shade but they have a beach by the lake with chairs and
umbrellas. They allow you or your dog to swim. Our only problem there are only four shower/restroom combos available. That is not a lot for over 100 sites. The shower was in the same private room with the toilet which is nice but four is not enough. They also charge extra after the first two people. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice park with level, wide pull thru sites easily handling 40' 5th and toter. View of river/lake with small marina on site. Clean laundry. Quiet as far as road noise though there is a mfg (wood) plant across the way. High water pressure. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Yes, the sites are close, but the park is nice. All the amenities you want on vacation. Its at an higher altitude so even if the days are hot, it cools down in the evening fast. Lots of trees, access to the lake, peddle boats and canoes for rent, a speed boat and fishing boat too! The staff is very friendly and helpful about seeing things in the area. So much to do, not enough time! We will be coming back often. Thank you Lake Coeur d'Alene Camping Resort for a wonderful time. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The location is beautiful, however there is I-90 very close with a lot of road noise, people come here to have fun, it's very noisy, and the amenities are not free. Pool is $1.00, air hockey is $0.75 per game, and no grass in the camping area. The back-in spots are very user friendly, water and electric in the back and 2 sewer lines available. However, you will need the air tight sewer drain hook up. If you don't have one, they will sell you one for an inflated price. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

From the highway, you would never know this place was here. It is tucked back into a canyon that provides some great quiet nights despite being so close to the highway. The sites are a little cramped together, but we had some nice neighbors so it wasn't an issue. Be sure you get here before 9:00 at night, as they do not allow ANY check-ins after that. We didn't get any Wi-Fi signal where we were camped, but it was quick and reliable next to the clubhouse & pool. Showers and bathrooms were clean. We camped here in a Motorhome.

First, this park is not in Coeur d’ Alene it is off of exit 22 on I-90 about 10 miles east. It is a former KOA so your GPS info for KOA Coeur d’ Alene is correct. It is a very crowded park with narrow roads and narrower sites. The sites are stepped so you are looking in the window of your neighbor. The two RV’s next to us both had slides and had to stagger some just to open their slides. We only had about 5’ of room from our front door and not much on the other side. Wi-Fi is intermittent, slow and when someone cannot connect they reboot the system knocking everyone off. There is no dog walk: they want you to walk them on the county road outside their property. They have an extremely tough refund policy allowing you one hour to leave or you pay for your reserved days. We would not stay here again period. BTW: if you are considering renting one of their speedboats, pull out $500.00!! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

A very nice campground. We like campgrounds that are tucked away, and this is one. It is a small campground and very well kept. Everything was clean. The campsites are smaller than that of a resort type place, but nothing that is excessively small. The staff was very nice and helped all campers get into campsites safely. This is no longer a KOA and is called Lake Coeur D' Alene Campground. You get what you see from their website. One problem that we had was wasps, but I found that throughout Idaho. The staff tried to accommodate with wasp traps throughout the campgrounds. We ended up buying one and placing it up at our campsite, they had no problem with that. The other problem was their internet was poor. It was slow and very difficult to connect. We had read previous reviews talking about their internet access, so I did call to confirm that they had internet. They confirmed, and stated that it might depend on the campsite if signal was good. We stayed very close the the clubhouse and could not get service from our campsite, and when we sat right next to clubhouse area the service was very slow. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed October 29. We were the only family there. Water had been turned off as it was off-season. This is a great place to stay during the winter. I'm not so sure I'd want to stay there during peak season. The campground is terraced, so sites are right on top of each other, with Kabins interspersed. But it's a beautiful location, on a hillside with a trail leading to the top of the hill. The pool was half-full due to off-season, but restrooms were clean & heated (though garbage hadn't been picked up in a few days). If you're someone who doesn't like an empty dark park in an out-of-the-way location, you may not want to visit this park from mid October til April. (You can't pay by credit card during this time, and it looks like management does not come by daily to pick up registrations. Though perhaps it's different during holidays..? Call first.) But me? I'd definitely return during off season. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The pictures on the website of the Coeur d'Alene KOA campground are deceiving. They are very narrow and hard to maneuver in and out of without hitting or damaging your unit. (We witnessed this several times during our stay.) The steep road and tight turns getting into the pull throughs are not meant for anything bigger than a 24-25 foot trailer, even though the length of their lots are probably 40 ft. If you have slides that slide out more than 2 feet, you may not be able to put them out. If you do manage to get them out, your door may be opening 3 feet from your neighbors door. (We did meet a lot of nice people because of this!!) The staff were unfriendly, and unwilling to help. When we complained of our site, and how unsuitable it was, they made no effort to help with the exception of letting us know we had the choice of not staying there. The website also states that they have Wi-Fi, which they don't. The only positive's about this campsite is that they had a pool and the kids enjoyed using it. As well, if you are tenting, they have beautiful trees to camp under. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed one night at the Coeur d'Alene KOA. Called ahead about 4 hours before arrival, and they had a site available. The park is at Exit 22 on I-90, with the nearest services 9 miles away in Coeur d'Alene proper. The park is in a beautiful location, with mature pine trees and much shade, particularly in the tent area. RV/Trailer sites are in a terraced area, with the back-in sites quite small. Our site was barely large enough for our 14' trailer and Suburban. Contrary to the opinion of an earlier poster, we believe both the pull-through and back in sites were quite close to adjacent sites. The site had no cable TV and only 20 amp power. The site next door had an extra 30 amp hookup, but our cord was not long enough. The pool is on the small side, but adequate. The major downside to this campground is the bathrooms. They were clean, but are in serious need of updating. No wireless (or other) internet. But for the out-of-date bathrooms and the lack of internet, I would rate the park as an 8. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We camped here for four nights while we visited Silverwood and Coeur D'Alene. Our site was nice, large and level. The pull through sites, however, have you cheek to jowl with the next unit. I'm glad we were in a back in site. The pool and laundry room facilities were clean, but the washrooms and showers need to be either refurbished or cleaned very well (one shower stall had the same bathing suit liner stuck to the wall for the entire stay). The main reason for the lower rating was the staff. They were less than friendly, wouldn't make eye contact, and didn't seem to want to help out with anything. The campground has free coffee and a microwave, but no one mentioned it to us, we had to find it on our own. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Small store not up to standard with most other KOA's. DVD selection is from a decade ago. The picture on their web shows a view of the lake. Huge trees block any view of the water from the same photo spot. Children's play area was about 8' x 8' and right next to the drive-up road! Hot tubs were to be open 4pm-10pm. 5pm and it was still closed. No-one available to unlock the gate. If it wasn't for the great people we had on either side of us, I would have scored a 4. Would return but the managements attitude would have to be better. Coeur D'Alene itself is a really good place. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is a beautiful park that has terraced camping pads nestled in the side of a foothill on a lagoon. The spots are pretty tight and we barely had room to park our Suburban in our site (but we were one of the highest ones and those are smaller). They do have pull thrus as well. The pool wasn't huge but was adequate and not too crowded. They do have two hot tubs as well next to the pool. The 18 hole golf course leaves quite a bit to be desired. They charge $1.00 per person to play but it's in very sad condition and not worth even a buck in my opinion to play. My kids (7 and 2) however had fun just hitting the ball around. We rented a canoe for $10/hr and took the kids out in the lagoon. It was great and the views are fantastic. You can even get out to Lake Coeur d'Alene if you want to. You can also rent kayaks and paddle boats. The park is clean, the bathroom and showers were great! The store was well stocked but the staff were not as friendly as I had read they were. They seemed put out to help you which seemed odd. Not rude...just put out. We'd probably stay there again, however, our reason for going was to visit Silverwood theme park and their campground didn't look bad at all so we'd probably stay up there next time. If you're bringing anything larger than a tent or a small class B or C motorhome reserve early and ask for one of the lower sites as they are considerably larger. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

Space #15 - We have a 28 foot fifth wheel that we pull with a Chevy crew cab w/8 foot bed. Our space was against the hill and was a little difficult to get into but not too bad. Have had worse time at other places. Bring a long sewer and water hose if your waste access is in the rear as the dump and water is at the front portion of the site. Our awning pulled out fine. The kids had a great time on the swings and the staff was very friendly. We were able to purchase advance tickets for Silverwood theme park at a small discount which was very helpful the next morning when we went there. Seems very family oriented, lots of children playing. The store had quarts of milk when I had run out and we had ice cream bars out on the deck in front of the office. They offered a family movie at night and sold popcorn. They also had a group campfire but noticed there were also a few other fire pits available. Small spawning stream ran the front boundary. Over all it was a good stay for the 2 nights we were there. I gave it an 8 because privacy was low. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is not a big rig friendly campground. The sites are situated on a hillside with little room to maneuver. We have a 30' fifth wheel and we barely fit into our site not being able to even think about using our awning. The lake is nearby, so that is a plus, and the staff is very friendly. The location and grounds are very beautiful but for anything over 25' it's going to be a tight squeeze. We would not stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This park has very narrow sites. You are really on top of each other here. Wi-fi was OK. We used the laundry facilities, which were clean and did the job. We had a pull thru site that was very difficult to get into,much less out of the next day. It took us about 15-20 minutes to get out! The front desk staff nice. I would not stay again, due to the lack of privacy and the difficulty in maneuvering We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

This is a small park in an urban setting. The spaces and drives are tight. We did not have any problems as we have a small trailer. We did observe some folks in big rigs struggling to get in and parked without hitting anything. The location is great and the price reasonable. There is a view of the Spokane river from the park and a short walk takes you to the hike/bike/run/walk trail along the river front. You can easily walk to the downtown area and lakeside beaches and parks in Coeur d'Alene. We enjoyed our stay and will go back again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This park was designed for an era before slides and awnings. There are few sites more than 15 feet wide and so little depth that they need to take up some spaces to allow people to park their tow vehicles or toweds. They advertise walking access to the river and that is technically correct but you have to scramble down a weed-covered dirt slope and across many yards of scrub area to reach the “river walk.” Access to downtown is possible if you have a bike (and take it down that path) or are a fast walker. Otherwise, I recommend a car. The Wi-Fi is erratic and the cable is noisy analog service. Most people we watched spent nearly 30 minutes fitting into a space. The spaces are not level or flat so be prepared to bring lots of “lifting” material. To top it off, this place seems to be for sale so they are trying to squeeze as many customers in as possible to make it look profitable. This spot is not worth the premium! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

LOCATION! This is the best place in Coeur d'Alene for an RV. It is next to the Centennial Trail, biking to the North Idaho Museum, Tubbs Hill Park, Riverpoint, even to the movies. The manager was very friendly and helpful. The showers were large and clean with plenty of hot water. This is not a large park. It doesn't have a pool or activities but the location makes it the best place for exploring the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Very few pull-through sites; most are back-in. Back-in sites could barely handle our 37-foot rig. Older, in-town park but if you get a site facing the Spokane River, it's quite lovely. The March 09 presents a good description of this Park. The sites were close together and utility hook-up strange. I found the Wi-Fi good though we were located close to the office. However, we paid $30.25 with an additional fee for our dog, I believe. The location was good. We would probably stay here again because of the high prices of other parks in the area. This is a small park. The rate I am showing is the cash/check rate before Good Sam discount. They charge $2 if you use a credit card. I stayed two nights, I don't know if that is $1 a night, or just a flat $2 for using a credit card. One caveat: electricity and cable are each an extra $3 a day. The Good Sam Discount does not apply to the electricity and the cable charges. The park is located within a short walking distance of a lot of espresso shops, and a brisk walking distance from the Riverwalk area, which has a few restaurants and grills if you don't feel like cooking. Further, you can walk to the CityLink bus transfer station and catch a bus to events in Coeur d'Alene, or a bus to the casino in nearby Worley. The RV slots are very close together. Fortunately, it wasn't full when I was there, but if it were full, you could not put out your awning (but you might be able to put out your slides...). There are w/e/s hookups on both sides of the slots, take your pick. The water faucets are wrapped for winter use. One thing: the sewer is located in such a way that your electric cord and cable cord will lay across your sewer hose unless you manage to pull them up a bit (or use the sewer on the other side by stringing your hose under your rig). Outdoor cooking grills exist in different areas if you wish to barbecue. The laundry room was very clean and had a sink (but it wasn't a "deep sink") for any items you may need to clean by hand. Laundry was $1.25 each for both wash and dry as of this writing. The rest rooms were clean and included a special shower for the "physically challenged." The Wi-Fi worked... fair. If you can't get the Wi-Fi to work for you, there seems to be "other" Wi-Fi networks. I am guessing these other Wi-Fi's are coming from the many espresso shops nearby. There is a great pet walking area, and a small fenced children play area. Although the park is near the river, you can see the river only if you peek through the open sided train cars that sit on the train tracks. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We did a very quick overnight stop here, and in my mind, that's about all I'd want to spend here. I'm glad we had the PA rate, it's definitely not worth $40 a night. The Good; the staff was very friendly, and did a good job and took care of us. I was very happy with this part of the park. The showers were clean and well kept, the ladies in the family all showered and said they were excellent. The Bad; the sites are "clown car" small. We have a small TT, 25', and we took up the whole site. Luckily, the CG wasn't full, and we parked in the site next to us, that was the only parking available. I'm not sure where you're supposed to park when the CG is full. The sites aren't very level, (took 2 boards on one side to level our TT) and they are made up of a small asphalt pad with the rest being dirt and rocks, so expect some dirt in the rig as the walking area is all dirt. There's a small grass area, and a dog walking area, but most of the sites with grass appear to be seasonal. For a very quick overnight stay, this CG is mostly adequate if you are a PA member. If you're not, I'd pass. If you're going to be in the area more than one night, I think I'd look some place else. I wish the CG was as nice as the staff. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

A very small RV park with extremely small sites. Definitely not big rig friendly. "River Walk" name is misleading as one has to walk approximately 100 yards over dirt and gravel across some railroad tracks to get to a walking path near the river. This is an older park with small sites which are very tight. There is virtually no place to park a tow vehicle adjacent to ones' trailer. The perimeter of the park is fenced, and one can not get to the river to "riverwalk." The park is visually unappealing, though the staff was friendly. We supposedly paid the Passport America rate, although we question whether they actually give a 50 percent discount. They do not post their daily rates. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Small Campground that is within walking distance to downtown Coeur d'Alene and the lake. You can walk or ride your bike along the Centennial Trail that runs along the front of the campground and follows the Spokane River to Lake Coeur d'Alene. Restrooms are very clean, and the managers are very helpful. Also is a Good Sam and Passport American campground. We travel in a 35 foot motor home. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I wanted to comment on an amazing time I had at Tamarack Rv park in Coeur d' Alene, Idaho. First off the managers of the park were very accommodating. I have never experienced nicer people. I was directed right to where I needed to park. I was shown the amenities right off. The restroom area and showers were immaculate, and I noticed were cleaned more then once a day. That to me is important. The park was cleaned and maintained daily. Flowers were placed by every space making the park very inviting when I pulled in. What I loved the most, however, was the family atmosphere. All spaces also had a picnic table which made outings with my family very enjoyable along with the main BBQ area for anyone that wanted more space for bigger outings. They are also centrally located to a Costco and Safeway and gas stations in either direction.Thankfully they also have propane available as I had run out and much to my surprise,they were far less, and I stress far less expensive, than anyone in town. Being close to the Lake (also in either direction)was perfect. With that being said, it made our July 4th the best so far. I recommend anyone wanting to come to this Idaho area stay here. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This an old run down park with the majority of the occupants long term and very few sites for travelers. When we made the reservation we told them we have a 40' motorhome. When we arrived they put us in a site that had about a foot clearance from the trees on each side and we would have had to jockey it in and hope we could get it out. After seeing the site I requested a different site and they gave us a pull through, which was fine. The old fifth wheel across from us literally has mold growing on it. A lot of the long term residents have junk piles around there units. This is definitely not a park for class A coaches. Bathrooms were dirty and smelly as was the whole park from the trash dumpsters. Previous posts complained of poor Wi-fi, but found it to be good although I use a wireless booster that helps. Staff was nice and did accommodate us. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Sites seemed to be randomly laid out. Backing in was not a piece of cake. Lots of trees, some in the way: offering good shade. TV was 60+ channels. WiFi was in and out with speeds 1.4/0.5 mbps down/uploading at best. Interrupts were common and speeds of 0.5/0.5 mbps were often. Costco was 2 blocks away. Lake was the high point. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Where do I begin? Very friendly when we checked in. Discussed how WI-FI is important to us and were told it works just fine and they have gotten no complaints. WI-FI is fading in and out as I write this. Cable is OK. LOTS of long term residents. There is a guy next to us who has an old, decrepit trailer. His sewer hose is very questionable looking. It also smells so we do not open the windows on that side of the RV. We will not be able to pull forward when we leave because one of his vehicles makes it impossible for us to do the turn so we will back up. The price we paid is with the Good Sam discount. Hardly worth what we paid when we cannot open our windows or move forward out of our site. Lots of broken down looking places around us. Not real scenic. Surrounded by junk. We won't return. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Price reflects the Passport America rate. Very nice folks running this park. It is an older park, but very well kept up. A lot of permanent residents, but plenty of overnight sites, too. The showers were as clean as we've ever seen in a park; older but reasonably updated, and functional. High speed Wi-Fi was great. We would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Very friendly park close to shopping and many restaurants: from Red Lobster to Texas Roadhouse, all within walking distance. Major food store across the street. Tall trees, quiet park, friendly staff. Stayed here three weeks, will stay again! We camped here in a Motorhome.

There are lots of trees here; a plus for us because we wanted the shade for our dog. The other RV park in town is out in the blazing hot sun. The campsites are pretty tight together but if you're a good driver it's not a problem. Yes, there are a fairly large number of permanent residents there but that didn't bother us. It was clean and fairly quiet. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Good park to stop for a day or so.The sites were level, however there was not much room for your p/u. Restrooms were clean. Fast food was nearby. Managers were very friendly and willing to answer any questions. We would stop again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

The hosts were very cordial and nice folks. Unfortunately, the Park is very crowded. Folks are stuffed in every possible spot. Additionally, there are many permanent residents in this park. This gives visitors the impression they are infringing on folks private homes. The toilets afford very little privacy. Anyone with toilet phobias should consider elsewhere. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The park is old and has small sites for the most part. Most importantly for us, we had a significant problem with the site electricity while we were there. We had requested a month reservation at $350 which is far cheaper than anything in the area so we stayed. But we probably wouldn't do it again. Our EMS (electrical management system) constantly dropped our electric feed due to power spikes (over 135 volts) in our section of the park. Thankfully the EMS did it's job so we lost none of our electronics. They had us on a circuit that was literally strung across a road in the park between trees with 4 other sites on the same circuit. After two weeks (and a lot of complaining) they replaced the electric feed with code. They had a phone number posted to call the owners about any issues that you might have - they didn't return the call. On the good side, the long term residents that we met were all nice and friendly and they have a nice outdoor propane grill for customer use. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Unfortunately we made a 7 day reservation. We were to have a pull through but upon arrival they said all they had was 1 spot with 50 amp service and large enough to handle our MH. On 1 side we had a broken down car and trailer on the other a abandoned 5th wheel. The management people were very nice but could not help us with alternatives. Look for something else. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The pictures on their website are very misleading. The nicest part of the park is the entry which is unfortunately on a very busy road. Gravel roads and pads for the RVs. There are picnic tables available, some on grassy spots. Trees do help block out the afternoon sun. The front part seems to be reserved for overnight stays but the backend is awful with long term folks in all kinds of rigs. It was a little scary walking by some of those sites. Located more than a couple miles from downtown, but near shopping (Safeway, Costco). Would never stay here again. I wanted to ask for a refund for false advertising. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This place is basically a trailer park as stated in previous review. Huge trees and the site I was on was pretty level. Only stopped for an overnight, and didn't feel extremely comfortable. I stayed in my RV except to let my dogs out. Office staff was a bit confused, guy didn't know what he was doing. Thankfully some lady came in who did, and she was very friendly. I wouldn't stay here again unless I couldn't find another place in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This place was a joke. Pictures on website are definitely misleading. This is a full-on trailer park, It was like camping with a bunch of carnies. We were desperate for a place for 1 night, but would have rather parked in a rest stop. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

We made a reservation at this park through Passport America. When we got there we were advised they do not take PA in the summer. The park was just horrible. Gravel roads with lots of pot holes and people drive fast so there is a cloud of dust every time a car goes by. This park is mostly monthly sites. Many of the monthly tenants have dogs including pit bulls and the rules regarding leashes and picking up dog waste are not enforced. The trash bins were totally overflowing and the smell was unbelievable. I could go on but just consider that a Flying J truck stop is at least two levels better than this park. We camped here in a Motorhome.

An old park with many permanent residents with very old rigs. Pictures on website overstate the park. Staff was very friendly, but didn't see the owner for two days so didn't check in until our third day. We were in a small grove of trees right in town. Many things in the area to visit. This park was the cheapest around, but the amenities were reflected in the price. Not sure that we would return to this park again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is an old mobile home park. Most of the sites are monthly rentals with trailers up to 40 years old. Many of these people live year around in trailers only 15 feet long. There are only six sites for overnighters, these are pull through sites. The roads are gravel and dirt and in very bad repair. The sites are not level and difficult to get into. Don't let the pictures on the website fool you. The pictures were taken in the few sites with grass, most are dirt and weeds. The residents do not obey the 5 mph speed limit so everything is covered with dust. Like most of the rules the "pick up after your dog" rule is ignored. There are no amenities, laundry facilities are disgraceful and restrooms are barely adequate. This park is listed in Passport America with a rate of $11.50 per night but they do not accept Passport America in the summer. The rate is $37.75. In my opinion $11.50 was a high price. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Decent park in a valley between two mountains on the I 90 corridor. Pretty with lots of grass and a creek. Gravel roads and sites, all level. Lots of trees but shade depends on the site. Satellite reception fair to bad depending on the site. Wi Fi (DSL) comes and goes also so it's not dependable if that's important to you. Water, electric and sewer all good. Eight miles from CDA so you have to drive for ALL shopping. One very good and popular restaurant just down the street...Wolf Lodge Steakhouse. Highway noise from I 90 moderate to heavy. Very close to lake CDA. Lots of fishing/boating close by. CDA is a very picturesque town with lots of restaurants and shopping. Silverwood Amusement park is about 20 miles north and Spokane is 30 miles west. Manager nice and helpful and everything is well kept, but I thought their price here is a bit high considering the distance from town and the Wi-Fi/Satellite TV situation. I'd come here again for sure, but I might shop around for a place a little closer to CDA first. Oh yeah...fuel prices in CDA are high (they gouge the tourists). We stayed ten days We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Let me start with the good. The hosts were very friendly on check-in. The site we were assigned was grassy and it was fairly easy to level the trailer. Now for the parts I didn't care for. It looked like we were going to be arriving after 8:00 pm so I called at 6:00 pm to double check they had my reservation for one trailer site and one tent site across from the trailer site. The woman I talked to was confused and befuddled and could not find my reservation. It didn't give me much confidence. When we got here, they had located the reservation, but check-in took an incredible 20 minutes, despite there being three people in the office. The gentleman who was doing my reservation stopped several times to take money from kids buying candy or ice cream. Their fee includes two people per site. Extras are $3.00. I was there with my daughter and 3 of her friends to take them to the Silverwood Amusement Park on Saturday, so total of 5 people. I took a tent site and let the girls use the trailer. By rights, I should have had to pay for 1 extra person, since we had a total of 5, but they charged for 2 extras, since the girls were using the trailer. The bathroom facilities are totally inadequate for a CG of this size. I can't speak to the women's bathroom. The men's room had only one toilet stall and two showers. No toilet paper in the men's room toilet at 9:00 am Saturday. Two Honey Buckets at the west end of the campground were not very clean and smelled like they needed to be serviced. I got a good WiFi signal sitting outside the office, not at my site. Finally, the CG is quite noisy. It is on the Frontage Road, that being a road running parallel to I-90. There is much traffic noise from trucks, cars and motorcycles: bring ear plugs. Also, many seem to use this campground as one-night stopover. Friday night we had people pulling in and setting up tents right next to us at 11:00 pm. In the future, I will not be staying at this campground. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

For a one night stop, this is OK, but not for the dollars. Showers are dirty and garbage was laying around. Restrooms are OK, but there needs to be more. For the men, one bathroom fixture and that's it. For the two nights we were here, there was no toilet paper after 8pm. Highway noise was OK after 11pm. Sites are OK, but narrow. Very dusty on hot days of summer. We will not stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Yes, there is noise from the freeway, but the park is very well-maintained and the people are friendly. Our site was grassy, but the ground seemed solid. Our nightly rate includes a 15% Escapees discount. One of the best features is the community campfire with seating all around. We enjoyed getting to meet our neighbors there. We would stay here again for an overnight. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is an older 'Good Sam' campground and some maintenance is required here and there. The free rest rooms and showers are clean but for the size of the camp, they need more of these facilities. Some sites have cement strips that looked level, other sites had grass/gravel and a bit of leveling was needed. Roads are plan dirt and are very dusty. Free Wi-Fi was slow but tolerable. Lots of kids playing as there are volleyball nets, swings, shuffleboard and basketball areas. Canoeing/kayaking is available in the serene, easy flowing stream which borders the park. Near sundown, we saw deer in the field to the NE. The office staff was friendly and talkative. Road noise from the nearby interstate highway is tolerable at night. If nothing better comes up in the area, we would stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Watch out for the tight entry from the road, it's really to tight for a big rig and if you do this at night you may have damage to your rig. The park is very dusty this time of year, the site have good hook ups but are very tight for your slides. Wi Fi was OK. We would not stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

It is on a main highway, but we did not find it objectionable. The problem we had was with the length of our rig, 37' motor home pulling a Saturn. We wanted to remain hooked up and were given a Electric/water site which we were told was long enough to accommodate us. The road to the site was narrow and when we pulled in we barely had enough room for both in the pull-through site. The next morning we wanted to dump, so we were told to pull into a full hookup site and use it to dump. Fortunately, there was one available. The park is clean and well kept, but it is difficult to maneuver a large rig due to the narrow interior roads. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They have free coffee in the morning with pastries available for purchase. We probably will not stay there again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Wish I could find something good to say. If this were a PA campground at half price ($18), I still wouldn't have stayed if I'd seen it first. Facilities were under water -- not totally their fault; they were drowned from hard winter. But no cable and no local antenna stations. Promised good satellite, but ours was blocked. Very coarse sites, small, and the entire place was unkempt. And the road noise? Deafening, even when closed up. Stay away! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Due to all the rain, the place was a swamp. Half of laundry dryers were out of order, and it was $2 to wash and same to dry in small machines. Grounds and buildings in need of maintenance and upgrading. Overpriced, unless you like highway noise. Would not stay here again, nor would I recommend it. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Older campground but very clean. We arrived just before office closed, staff very friendly. Backed in to our slot, which was level with concrete pads, and electric was close but sewer was a stretch for our RV. Sites were large with grass and trees. Bathroom/showers: did not need code, older but in good shape and clean. Wi-Fi is free 1st day than must pay fee for additional days. Road noise was minimal since are slot was in back row of campground. Stayed for 1 night and would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Park has lots of tents and RV's mixed together. It's all dirt, fairly level, with lots of space around you. Just off interstate 90 with all the traffic noise. Had lots of activities, movies nightly, and bon fires. For as large as the grounds are though, they needed more then 2 showers/johns. Not returning because the price (for seniors) seemed a little steep. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The park is friendly, lots of green grass, situated along a creek. The only downside is that it is very close to the road and experiences quite a bit of road noise. That was disappointing. All else was good. Right down the road, 3/10's of a mile, is the Wolf Lodge Restaurant with some of the best food we have had in recent memory. They specialize in steaks, cooking them on a grill in the middle of the dining room. Big, juicy and well seasoned. We ate for 3 days on the leftovers! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here two nights. This is a very noise Park because of the highway and there were a lot of young groups using the Park while we were there. We got a Good Sam's discount. The Park is not close to anything. The WiFi was not free so we did not use it. This park is O.K. for an overnight. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We stopped at the park because it was in Passport America, our first visit to a PA campground. But, being as it was summer, they didn't honor PA, and we paid $23 with the Good Sam discount. But couldn't even watch TV as their 50 amp, wasn't even a good 30 amp, so it was TV or Air conditioning - we chose air. The WiFi was a charge. I was so disappointed in my first PA campground I don't know how good or bad the park was. Our neighbors came in here because they also thought it was a Passport America Campground, but also had to pay full price. So I am having a hard time convincing my husband Passport is a good thing. Maybe it's a PA problem. I was unhappy with the park electricity, WiFi and $$. But it seemed like a very nice family park. Lots of kids there and they were all having fun. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We were very, very disappointed in this park. Our main critique concerns the very narrow bridge one must cross to get into the rv park. When we phoned to make our reservation and asked about getting to the park, we were told: "come on in." This comment was made to all of our questions. Upon getting to the entrance, we found that it is nigh onto impossible for a large rig to negotiate the entrance. We should have been warned about the tight turn. After we made it across the bridge, people came to tell us that this happens all the time and that we were lucky not to have any damage. The sites are not well configured and it was impossible to align our rig with the site. The only good thing about our visit was our seeing a moose outside the entrance. We visited this park in a 40 foot motorhome and would never go back. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Visited this Passport participating campground on a VERY rainy night! The grassy parking RV sites were saturated. I expressed concern to the office that our 41' DP would sink and tear up the ground (or worse). Office reassured me that there was concrete areas for levelers. Turned out there were two narrow concrete strips about 12' long and totally misaligned for the access and positioning of the rig/car. Access was ungodly difficult: tight turn and sharp turn into small site, maneuvering to place at least two of the levelers on the small concrete "landing strips!" To make a long story short, we got stuck and had to be towed out! Made for nice social gathering of fellow RV'ers the next morning. Aside from misjudgement of site suitability, it was an attractive campground. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Can't beat this place for family friendliness--from the nightly communal campfire to the "movie theatre" where benches are arranged around an outdoor TV screen. A bit too close to I-90, though the road noise didn't seem bad after 10pm. Sites were large, grassy, and comfortable. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
