We stopped here while on the way to the Tetons. Nice little campground with good power, adequate water pressure, and sewer. Campsites are far enough away from the road to get a good night's sleep. We had good cell, Aircard, and satellite reception. Our site was level and it was on gravel but we saw other sites that had grass. There's enough room to get your slides and awning out. The campground is behind a store and a Sinclair gas station. Management was very friendly. We didn't see any fire pits or raised BBQs, which was fine with us since we both get sick and tired of breathing wood smoke. Palisade Reservoir is nearby for fishing, boating, etc. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Campground host nice. Directed us to a site that was pull through, but to pull through we had to drive through tent campers! Hostess said it was "Ok, they're nice people"! What had us concerned was how we were going to back up in there to pull our trailer out. Utilities set up that your door was right in front of your neighbors, and there were no picnic tables at some of the sites. Also sites very small toward back of park. Couldn't open our awning due to close proximity of trees. Showers OK, but trash had not been emptied the 4 days we were there. Would not stay there again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This small shady, quiet park is a gem. There is room enough between cabins and RV spots to accommodate a 30 to 40 people for a reunion and they cater to that as well as regular over-nighters or those who stay a few days. Showers and bathrooms are like the ones at home and very clean. The laundry is also clean and nice. The camp host and owners were really friendly and accommodating. Lots of grass and flowers are everywhere. Covered picnic areas, grills, water fountain and shade. We had no trouble with the trees and our RV The temperatures were in the 90's but we were comfortable. They only have 30 AMP power but with the shade and cool grass, we got along great with one air conditioner in 90+ temperatures. Limited cable TV but adequate. We absolutely would come again and encourage other to stay also. Close to tourist areas of the western side of the Tetons, access to Jackson Hole area and within driving distance of Yellowstone and other attractions. 45 miles from Idaho Falls so services are a bit limited. Limited groceries available at local convenience store across the highway. This campground is right on the Snake River with great river access and boat access for fishermen. We camped here in a Motorhome.
A campground to stay at. Had a family reunion there for a week. Great location to go to Jackson, Yellowstone Park, Masa Falls, Float Trips and Horse back riding. Side by Side spaces, lots of shade. You need to call to make sure of reservations. Excellent camp host and a excellent owner, they will go out of there way to make sure you have a good time. Make sure you have enough food because the nearest food is Alpine Wy. 21 miles away, but it is a pretty drive along Palisades Reservoir. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Palisades RV Park is a small park several miles downstream from Palisades Reservoir on the Snake River. It was well kept and clean. The showers and laundry rooms were very clean. The pads were gravel and close to level. There are numerous trees and nice areas of green grass. I would not recommend this park for folks in very large rigs. The majority of the sites are back in. The caretaker was very friendly and helpful. A walking path exists from the park to the river. It was very quiet at night with little or no traffic noise. The location shown on their web site is somewhat in error. It is located on the west side of the road at mile marker 385. Will stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
