Camp ground is small but in a nice location. Close to the jet boat ride on the Snake river. The owners are gracious and informative. Would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Family owned, small, friendly, quiet, clean, campground with full hookups and large trees, for 1 or 2 night stay to do (the pricey) Jet Boat rides through Hells Canyon. An awesome day on the river. Highly recommended if you can afford it. Camping price reflects 2 nights (1 as Passport America and 1 as Good Sam). Park wide FREE Wi-Fi but no Verizon cell service. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This was a nice quiet park. All sites are gravel and back-in but we would stay here again. Price reflected Passport America. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Killgore Adventures runs Jet Boat tours of Hells Canyon along with fishing charters. To accommodate their customers they also offer a campground and a 6 room motel on their property in White Bird. The campground offers back in spaces with full hookups. There was no Verizon cell phone service but the office has a computer for use if needed. The setting is beautiful with access to a private swim beach on the Salmon River. We found the staff we had contact with the be helpful and friendly. We would definitely recommend this a a place to stay either when heading out on Killgores Jet Boat tour ( a MUST in our opinions...) or as a place to just escape for a few days! We camped here in a Motorhome.
We really enjoyed the laid back atmosphere. Easy access, with both gravel and lawn parking area. Utilities were set up a bit strange, and we only used electricity. No cell service, but we were able to access DirecTV. Really enjoyed talking with other campers who were all there to fish the Salmon or Snake River. Owners are awesome. They also run a jet boat business running up through Hells Canyon. We plan to return there and do that run when the temps are a bit warmer. We drove our car from there to the Snake on a 30 mile one lane gravel road through Nez Perce and really enjoyed the spectacular views. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is the Passport America 1/2 price rate. The RV park is still in good condition. We were 1 of 3 RVs on July 5. They were busy for the 4th of July weekend. Cell service is still not available, however there is a computer in the office with web access for customers. We would camp here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Passport America rate of $13.50. This is a nice small park right on the Salmon River. Big wide back in sites for large rigs. Tent sites are right next to river. Very very scenic area, some incredible views in this part of Idaho. Often referred to as the American Alps and we could see why. Office and lodge room appeared to be in excellent condition and well cared for. Great place to escape from the outside world, we had no cell phone, TV (bat wing), radio (car & RV) reception at all. If traveling in a large rig or motor home, come in the back way past Swiftwater RV Park, US-95 mile 222, follow this road past Swiftwater untill you come to this park. The White Bird exit directions would send you to a bridge with a 10 ton limit. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Nice little park on the Salmon River. No cable TV anymore but very good Wi-Fi. Back in spots with river view are a little tight if all spots are occupied. Owner very friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Grass perimeter except for some spaces in the center which are all grass. Watering occurs every day and the center watering would be a problem for a coach. Facilities are clean. The owner is absent at night but in the park for most (?) of the day. The river flows right beside the park and provides a nice view if you can see between the tree branches. The willow trees and cottonwood trees are a tad low and could be a problem in the future. Parking with a big rig might be a problem if the park were full. Cable TV is only three weather channels and two that don't respond, so there is not really cable TV in spite of advertising. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Very nice small RV park. Nice level gravel sites that are along Salmon River so was great place to sit & watch river. Owners very nice & helpful. Would return to this campground. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a nice park.. We're looking out on the lower Salmon River. The park would be tight for a big rig if more people were here. Right now there are three of us and it's perfect. No sewer at the sites but there is a dump. 50 amps are good. Showers are very clean. We would definitely stay here again.. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Nice park, very clean. Big Rig access is not too great, spaces are big enough, but access and maneuvering is a little hard. Owner very nice, and store/restrooms/laundry exceptional. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We have to this campground several times in the past and considered it our most favorite place to lite. Beautiful setting, good groceries and friendly people. We have not been there since the previous owner sold it to a couple from Paris Texas. They have limited Passport America stays which prevents us from traveling that far to stay just 2 days at a discount. Mark would allow unlimited stays. All you had to do was help with the grass mowing and be there at "Happy Hour" and cookouts. If anyone has been there since the new owners, Please advise as to what it like now. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Very nice spot right on the Salmon River. Small campground with a store and very close to small town restaurant. Base for trip into Hell's Canyon. We will stay there again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
