This campground has two loops. The front loop is 50 amp and has a handfull of reservable sites: most are level and secluded. The back loop is mostly 30amp. All sites are electric only. During the week this park is so quiet that the owls will wake you during the night. Best sites for bigger rigs are on the front loop on the opposite side from the reservable sites. Entry roads are paved but narrow. Dump station and showers are clean and well maintained. The sites are gravel with picnic table, light stand, and fire ring. Like most Illinois State Parks: there are no alcholic drinks permitted. Cell phone reception is very limited: without a booster we had no signal, with a cell signal booster we got three bars. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We camp here in the fall while attending Eastern Illinois football games. We like this park. It is state park so it is on the rustic side. Sites are gravel, with table and fire ring. Most sites are well shaded with plenty of trees separating campsites. People here are friendly and nice. There are a limited number of sites for big rigs, and no 50 amp hook-ups. We camped here in a Motorhome.
