This is a large City park with mostly tent camping. There a few sites that are designated handicap and have concrete pads. The rest of the sites are on grass. The water hookups will require a 50 ft. hose on several sites. If all sites are filled, the park would be very crowded. I would stop here again but would request a spot between 118 and 128, which are RV sites. The rest of the park is primarily tent sites. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
When I called I had requested a 50 amp full hook up. The available options were a concrete site w/30 amp or a 50 amp in the grass. I was told we could pig-tail a 20 to make a 50, which we could not even try since when we arrived we were told it was grounded. Since admittedly several people had been stuck due to heavy rains, we opted to go with the 30 amp concrete site, maneuvering in under a low branch. We immediately reported apparent problems with the ground fault tripping and cutting off our electricity. This was on a Wednesday early afternoon. It was not that hot until Friday when it was sweltering over 90 degrees and I could not even turn on the microwave, let alone one of the air conditioners. I believe someone should have come out to repair it before then. Camp was filling up for the weekend so they allowed us to run our generator after we tried to struggle through it. Meanwhile a new occupant in the site next to us experienced a similar problem. Staff was nice and friendly but did not seem to comprehend the discomfort and concern caused by obvious electrical problems. (At first they were blaming our rig since "only a couple of other people" had experienced similar problems). There are numerous trash barrels that are uncovered and so the birds and critters spread trash all around the yard at night. Beautiful park but there are also some low branches. We will not likely stay again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
For the price it's a 10. Excellent small city park with plenty of space between sites. We chose a site with concrete pad and 50 amp power. Water was from central tap serving several sites. Full hookup sites were available. We used this CG for one night stop on a cross country trip. Will plan on staying more days on the next trip. CG has all the facilities. Wal-Mart was nearby. Very interesting city for sightseeing. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This was a very nice campground. The campground was nearly empty and we had our chose of sites. The lake was pretty and had numerous activities available nearby, including the municipal pool. When making a reservation, we requested water and electric. We were given both, but the water was a long distance from the electric box (50'), so we settled on electric only. While the bathrooms were clean, they were in need of remodeling. The floors were chipped concrete and the showers had a pull chain, thus difficult for my young son to use. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.
This is a nice park. Had a reserved spot but when we pulled in, the family next to us had an annoying bird there making noise. The camp host led us to our spot and heard the bird also. We didn't even unhook and I asked to move. No problem, he led us to a concrete handicap spot near the office. Very friendly and helpful. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
