We needed a place for an extended stay near Jacksonville, IL and there are few other options. The road into the campground is barely big enough for two vehicles and not big enough when one of the vehicles is an RV. Someone is going to have to pull over and yield. The park roads are gravel and the sites are grass and gravel and not very level. We rarely use blocks but they were necessary here. The park is large and very beautifully maintained. The sites are strangely laid out and crowded. We shared water with one or maybe two other sites, I couldn't tell. One is required to mow one's site with the provided mower and weed eater. This is acceptable as the sites are small and so is the fee. Security is very good. There are a lot of year-round residents. The one thing I found disturbing was that there seems to be a set of rules for the people who live there and another for visitors. We would go back if we had to, but would not go out of our way to come here. The managers were on top of everything and easy and pleasant to work with. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We stayed on a monthly rate. Winter hook ups available. More 30 amp lots then 50 amp. It seems like a wonderful place to stay in summer. Quite close to a store but out of town. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
