There is lots of space at this campground, as it is the home of several large Sprting shooting events each year. Big sites, big roads and great power and water are around. There were some tents camping around the sporting clays courses, but sites are mainly leased in 5 and 10 year increments. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is an IDNR campground & trap/skeet complex with 2007 being the first full year for the campground; the trap/skeet activities presently do not occur every weekday or weekend; however, there are several major weeks / weekends through out the season. There are 750 water/electric/sewer sites and the remainder are electric only. There are handicap access camp sites in each camp area. The full hookup sites are huge! Your choice of 65' or 95' wide and ~ 100' deep! Full hookup areas have paved roads and sites, others have gravel sites. Grass and trees are still growing in due to how new the campground is (old strip mine area). Sparta is the closest town (~2 mi.) and has everything one could need (gas, food, dining, theater, WalMart, etc.). The rows of W/E/S campsites have a quail refuge behind which adds to the separation of sites. Stocked lake fishing is supposed to start this year sometime (no fishing as of this posting); they do not presently have access (roads, parking, paths) to the lakes built. Shower house has 20 combo showers / restrooms. The dump station has six stalls (3 x 2 lanes) with fresh water supply nearby. Will definitely return. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
