Fantastic park with great lake access. Park is typical Illinois State park. Few shower houses but mostly pit toilets. Water available but not on site. Dump at entrance. Hosts were very helpful and nice. Park huge with few campers. Sites mostly level, wide variety of site types. Very peaceful. Will absolutely go back next year. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a large state park on Lake Shelbyville. Since it was so late in the year they had closed parts of the camp ground. The area we were in was electric only with a mix of gravel and paved pads, as well as a mix of 30 and 50 amp sites All the roads are paved and in good shape. Most of the sites were well spaced and almost level with some areas fully shaded and other areas of little or no shade. The shower house was still open. While it is an older shower house it is well maintained and clean with lots of hot water. Lots of deer and birds in this park. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a good campground. It has trails and you can walk down to the lake and fish. There is a beach you can ride your bike to in the campground but far enough you might prefer to drive. The sites are large. There are some full hook-up and some pull thru. They do have a campstore, right before you go into the park. This lake, Shelbyville is a big lake and there are lots of places to dock your boat. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
