Very nice people! The campground was lovely. We arrived late, but the manager was very accommodating. She took my husband out a golf cart to choose our site. The other campers were very nice. This campground has mostly seasonal campsites, but does provide about 25 weekender sites. The restaurant is on the property with access to a boat launch and boat slips. The surprise was that a commuter train runs along the campground (often). Otherwise it is a very peaceful stay. Not alot of activities if you are traveling with small children. We would come again for a lazy quiet weekend. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

Mostly seasonal with a few sites for transients. Not owner managed. Manager friendly. Seasonals friendly. Clean campground. Clean pool. Nice view of lake. Train stop within walking distance to Chicago about 1 1/2 hours ride away. Hear trains at night. Mainly for adults but children welcomed. Would camp here again. We camped here in a Truck Camper.

A nice mix of seasonal and weekend campers. Lots of stuff for the kids to do, including swimming, fishing, hiking and playgrounds. The park is beginning to show its age, the mini-golf course is in poor shape. The campground site (W3) that we stayed at was wooded and nice, although a bit tight on space, with trees making backing in even a pop-up a bit difficult. The main means of travel around the park seems to be via golf cart, which is a bit irritating at times. The restrooms were dirty, and there arent't enough of them for the number of campers in the campground. Quiet time is not observed too well, several people made a lot of noise until 1 or 2 in the morning each evening, but this was Memorial Day weekend. The staff is very courteous and helpful. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

Most sites are seasonal, but they do have some pull throughs for weekenders. Campground goes from wooded, to out in the open. All roads are either paved, or gravel. Swimming pool is good sized, and they have a sand volleyball court, along with a nice pavillion. Able to rent golfcarts for trails. Staff is friendly, although the store seemed to have strange hours on weekends. Game room was nice for the kids, as was the pond fishing. Wasn't happy with the restrooms, but since we had our own, it was no big deal. Would reccomend if you have children, small or otherwise, and if you are a self contained unit with shower and toilet facilities. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
